Speaker:

On my social media blog, I

recently got a question about,

Speaker:

from a gentleman who's a

personal trainer, you know,

Speaker:

fitness and dedication to fitness

and helping people maximize

Speaker:

their tone and their body and their,

you know, to help them just be in fit,

Speaker:

maximize fitness. But he also had a

love he said, for personal development,

Speaker:

which is not uncommon, you see

that quite often. But he says,

Speaker:

how do I merge them?

Speaker:

I feel like I want to put more

energy on personal development,

Speaker:

but I'm doing one-on-one coaching,

and I'm kind of trapped by the hour,

Speaker:

I charge by the hour and I'd kind of

like to do some education and personal

Speaker:

development. Well, the

obvious connection is,

Speaker:

while you're doing personal training,

Speaker:

use the tools that you've learned from

personal development and use it and apply

Speaker:

it right into the training process,

the way you're communicating with them,

Speaker:

the gems of wisdom that you

picked up, practical things,

Speaker:

things you see them that they mention

in your conversations that you know you

Speaker:

can help them solve. But,

Speaker:

if you do that you're getting the

same fee, you're still fixed on fee.

Speaker:

But if you take your personal development,

Speaker:

organize that knowledge and package

that in some sort of a presentation or

Speaker:

possibly you could actually make it that

if you're in the personal development

Speaker:

field, one of the areas of

personal development is fitness,

Speaker:

and so if you want to maximize your

personal development and your skills,

Speaker:

you want to make sure you have

confidence and tone and fitness.

Speaker:

You can merge them that way.

Speaker:

So you could actually do a presentation

on personal development and pick up

Speaker:

clients in the fitness arena.

Or you could do personal,

Speaker:

you could do presentations and

speak in a personal training field,

Speaker:

and then also bring in gyms of personal

development and upsell a program

Speaker:

of organized knowledge that you've

had in the personal development field.

Speaker:

That way you don't throw it away,

you use it and you apply it.

Speaker:

But if you take knowledge

and you have a love for it,

Speaker:

you might as well get paid for it.

Speaker:

II'm a firm believer in whatever it is

you love to do, why not get paid for it?

Speaker:

Why take vocation, vacation and separate

them? Why not merge them together?

Speaker:

Why don't you do what you

love and get paid for it?

Speaker:

I teach people that in the Breakthrough

Experience program that I teach almost

Speaker:

every week, I show people how to do it,

Speaker:

and I've seen people make millions doing

something that they never thought they

Speaker:

could even get paid for.

Speaker:

So there's no way you can go through

life and be fulfilled if you're

Speaker:

having to do something and then over

here you're having to make a living doing

Speaker:

this and you really want to be doing this.

Speaker:

I find that if you merge those together,

it's wiser. So you ask questions,

Speaker:

how specifically is my

personal development helping

me in my personal training?

Speaker:

And how is my personal training

helping me in my personal development?

Speaker:

Ask that question, and hold

yourself accountable to answer it.

Speaker:

If I was consulting with you,

Speaker:

I would automatically ask that question

and make you accountable to answer that,

Speaker:

and you'd find an answer. And the

more you make the links between them,

Speaker:

the more creative insights you come

up with on how to package yourself and

Speaker:

present something. Because

you can actually say, look,

Speaker:

I've been doing personal training on you,

Speaker:

I noticed that you've been talking about

your relationship issue or about your

Speaker:

business struggles or about

your economics issues,

Speaker:

I have something that I can help you

and I'm going to charge for that,

Speaker:

and then set up a time

for that to meet that.

Speaker:

You could open up a coaching

and consulting service for that.

Speaker:

Or you could have them and say, look,

Speaker:

I'm doing a presentation on

that very topic this week,

Speaker:

I would love for you to come,

Speaker:

it's a moderate fee of $49 for the evening

or whatever, whatever the amount is.

Speaker:

Or you could actually just do one-on-one

coaching with them and charge them what

Speaker:

you feel your normal fee is.

Speaker:

There's no reason why you can't merge

those two together. They are the same,

Speaker:

as far as I'm concerned, your mind

and body are kind of working together.

Speaker:

And if you're basically having a personal

development and you have skills there

Speaker:

that can help them, that's going

to help them on their mindset,

Speaker:

that's going to help

them manage their time,

Speaker:

it's going to help them deal

with their relationships.

Speaker:

Because if you're working out and you're

not present when you workout and you're

Speaker:

thinking about what just happened

in your spouse or your kids,

Speaker:

or you're worried about

your finances or business,

Speaker:

you have a higher probability of injury.

Speaker:

They found out that people that are more

present have less injuries than people

Speaker:

who are distracted by impulses

and instincts, infatuation,

Speaker:

resentments and emotional stuff

that personal development can help.

Speaker:

So merge them by asking how specifically

is my personal development knowledge

Speaker:

going to help me in my training?

Speaker:

And how is my training going to

help me with my personal knowledge?

Speaker:

You can take your personal training and

all the skills of discipline and then

Speaker:

put that into the skills of knowledge

development in personal development and

Speaker:

apply the same principles.

Speaker:

There's no reason why those can't be

united together and you package and you

Speaker:

paid handsomely for both of those.

Your skills can be done in both areas.

Speaker:

You're already doing it probably now,

Speaker:

but you might as well formalize it and

package it and present it and charge for

Speaker:

it and get paid handsomely for doing

something that will be of value to people.

Speaker:

It's something you've been doing it for

possibly months or years and decades

Speaker:

maybe, and all that knowledge is something

that's, that people can benefit by.

Speaker:

So package it.

Speaker:

Organized knowledge is power and it's

productive and can produce profits and

Speaker:

they can both ha and help each other.

Speaker:

There's no reason why you can't merge

those two together and put both of them in

Speaker:

place and build a very viable business

incorporating the two together towards

Speaker:

one end.

Speaker:

And maybe you can package those up

and sell audio programs or online

Speaker:

programs or who knows,

blogs, whatever it is,

Speaker:

to the clients that you already

have in personal development.

Speaker:

They can be dovetailed, but you gotta ask,

Speaker:

how specifically is one helping the

other? And don't stop and don't say,

Speaker:

I don't know, find the

answer. If you're not,

Speaker:

contact myself and let me consult with

you and show you how to do that so it's

Speaker:

silly.

Speaker:

Or come to my Breakthrough Experience

program where I show people how to do that

Speaker:

every week. I told them, I

say I ask them a question,

Speaker:

what is it you would absolutely love to

do and how do you get handsomely paid to

Speaker:

do it, and we go through

them, we figure it out.

Speaker:

And there's no reason

why you can't do that.

Speaker:

You have no reason why you can't

integrate any parts and create subsidiary

Speaker:

systems inside your business. You could

be a serial entrepreneur with people

Speaker:

actually working underneath

you in both those arenas.

Speaker:

There's no limit on what you can do.

Speaker:

It's just your mind's belief

systems and thinking processes.

Speaker:

So hope that was helpful.

Speaker:

And I know that there is easily a solution

to that, but the questions you ask,

Speaker:

the quality of life is based on

the questions you ask. If you ask,

Speaker:

how can I merge those together?

Speaker:

They get merged and then they both support

each other and you end up producing

Speaker:

more business, more impact, more profits.
