Welcome back to another health hack episode, as I continue talking about some of the many benefits of detoxing, and today, I want to talk about the relationship between detoxing and stress reduction, and also improved heart health. toxins build up in our body, and over time that causes stress on the body. And we often think about the mental stress that we're dealing with every single day, we think about maybe the physical stress on our body from working out exercising, competing in sports events, etc. And we may not think about the physiological stress that is happening within our body. And our body wasn't designed to have the level of toxins that we have in our world today. And that build up over time does cause stress that causes stress on our liver and our kidneys as they struggle to get those toxins out of the body. And when we actually take the time to do a proper functional medicine detox that can alleviate this, this stress on the body as well as the mind and promote more relaxation and calmness in the body. And then also, that spills over to the mind as well. In addition, detox programs can support heart health by reducing cholesterol levels and improving circulation throughout the body. And given that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in North America.
