Host or Speaker B

Welcome back to the elevated edit podcast.

Host or Speaker B

Today's episode is going to be a little different.

Host or Speaker B

We are going to try to stay on task, but it is not really our strong suit.

Host or Speaker B

I have got a wonderful friend, a wife, a mom, an entrepreneur, and an all around amazing person on the podcast with me today.

Host or Speaker B

I have Kayleigh Lambert and I am so excited to have her on today.

Host or Speaker B

So just a little bit of backstory about our relationship.

Host or Speaker B

Just our relationship today.

Host or Speaker B

We've been together how many hours today?

Kayleigh Lambert

Probably five.

Host or Speaker B

Probably five.

Host or Speaker B

And we've said, now, what were we talking about?

Host or Speaker B

Probably 500 times.

Kayleigh Lambert

Where was I going with that?

Host or Speaker B

Where was that story supposed to.

Host or Speaker B

Why did I start that story?

Host or Speaker B

So if we get off track, you, if you are someone who is easily annoyed by people getting off track, you might want to just go ahead and skip this episode because that's what's going to happen on this one.

Host or Speaker B

So anyway, haley, I'm so thankful that you are on the episode today.

Kayleigh Lambert

Thank you for having me.

Host or Speaker B

I would love for you to tell us a little bit about yourself.

Host or Speaker B

I am hopeful that all of my audience already knows you, but I would love for those that don't to hear a little bit about you.

Kayleigh Lambert

Hi, friends and new friends.

Kayleigh Lambert

My name is kayleigh lambert and I am a born and raised south arkansas girl.

Kayleigh Lambert

I am married to a very, very good guy.

Kayleigh Lambert

His name is nick.

Kayleigh Lambert

Patience of a saint.

Kayleigh Lambert

We have two beautiful daughters.

Host or Speaker B

Very beautiful daughters.

Kayleigh Lambert

A little bit wild sometimes, but they're great and they are just the lights of my life.

Host or Speaker B

She really does have the most beautiful children.

Host or Speaker B

I am not ready to have children yet, so I like to love on my friends kids.

Host or Speaker B

And hers were wonderful because they think I'm great and amazing and I can play with them and then give them back to her and go back to my house.

Kayleigh Lambert

They're a little wild.

Host or Speaker B

That's the best way to parent for me in this stage.

Host or Speaker B

Okay, Kayla, that's great.

Host or Speaker B

Yes.

Host or Speaker B

So we were actually, we've had, like I said, we have been together for at least 5 hours today and we have talked about so many different things.

Host or Speaker B

But earlier in the car, the topic of jealousy came up and what I was telling her was that in this season of life, I am no longer jealous about material items.

Host or Speaker B

I am jealous when people have a wonderful family unit.

Host or Speaker B

And Kaylee is very blessed, very lucky.

Host or Speaker B

She has not only an amazing family on her mommy and dad's side, but on her husband's side as well.

Host or Speaker B

So she's very blessed with family.

Host or Speaker B

And I would love for you to talk a little bit about family and what it means to you and what it means to keep your focus and your priority on your family.

Kayleigh Lambert

So family is a huge priority.

Kayleigh Lambert

And my girls are the reason I went from, you know, a corporate office job to staying at home and then kind of doing some part time things because I wanted to be there with them.

Kayleigh Lambert

But the priority of family and prioritizing family was instilled just from the very beginning.

Kayleigh Lambert

I guess my grandparents have always stressed the importance of family, but not through words, just by showing us love.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then, in turn, our parents.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then now we saw that and can do it for our kids.

Kayleigh Lambert

But, for example, like, my mimi still cooks Sunday lunch.

Kayleigh Lambert

And it's not a you have to be there, but it's just, it's what she's always done.

Kayleigh Lambert

And now she's got her great grandbabies coming.

Kayleigh Lambert

It's something we look forward to.

Kayleigh Lambert

She celebrates our birthdays when they come around by asking what we want and what we want for dessert.

Kayleigh Lambert

And so it's just special.

Kayleigh Lambert

And it's the little things like that that have made me realize, like, what is important and what I want my priorities to be.

Kayleigh Lambert

And now we joke that we live on the compound because we live next to my first cousin and his wife, and they have two small children, and we swap out supper nights.

Kayleigh Lambert

And across the street, you have Nick's first cousin and his aunt and uncle.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then over one house, I've got a cousin.

Kayleigh Lambert

My grandparents are building a house.

Kayleigh Lambert

My brother lives next door, and then my aunt uncle are building a house behind that.

Kayleigh Lambert

So we get to see and love on our people every day, and they love on us.

Kayleigh Lambert

And it's just great.

Host or Speaker B

I love it.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like so few people, especially in this day and age, still have that, that family unit.

Host or Speaker B

And like I said earlier, I am rarely jealous.

Host or Speaker B

I'm not jealous if you drive a big car, if you, you have a big house.

Host or Speaker B

But, like, when I see you with your family, I'm like, oh, wow.

Host or Speaker B

Like, I love that.

Host or Speaker B

And Kaylee is really good about setting boundaries around her children.

Host or Speaker B

Like, if you are friends with her, you know that if she's with her baby, she might not text you back for hours.

Host or Speaker B

It's not anything personal.

Host or Speaker B

It's just where she sets her priorities.

Host or Speaker B

So I would love if you would talk for a little bit about saying no and prioritizing what is important, because I know it's not always easy to say no.

Host or Speaker B

And I think, especially as women, we carry a lot of guilt about saying no sometimes.

Host or Speaker B

And I feel like from the outside at least, you were, like, very good at saying no.

Host or Speaker B

I know you've had to, like, work your way up to that, but I would love for you to talk about, like, maybe like, an example of, like, okay, if you're in a situation where somebody asks you to do something and it's time with your babies, like, what kind of.

Host or Speaker B

What your thought process is like, and, like, how you, like, kind of process those feelings and get through that, saying no.

Kayleigh Lambert

So if it's something that means a lot to someone or I think is really important, if I don't have something scheduled with my girls or if it's not going to take away, because like I said, we have a great family system.

Kayleigh Lambert

So if Nick's going to be home or if that's just an extra hour they get to spend with their grandparents or something, you know that I weigh that into it.

Host or Speaker B

Of course that's good.

Kayleigh Lambert

But if it's something that's just.

Kayleigh Lambert

Just social, or I know my girls have something important, or they need me there, or maybe I wasn't there last night because I was doing something work related, I know, to put the time aside for them.

Kayleigh Lambert

And at the end of the day, like, they are who I go home to, so.

Kayleigh Lambert

And as far as I may not answer a text, I've always not been great about that.

Kayleigh Lambert

And sometimes it's because I don't know where my phone is, but I do try to put things down so that I can spend the time I have at home with them and be in the moment.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah, you're so.

Host or Speaker B

So something else.

Host or Speaker B

I'm going to make her blush for a little bit, but I think it's because you grew up with such a good family.

Host or Speaker B

But Kaylee is a good friend, and I think that people who are friends with you can attest to that.

Host or Speaker B

But, like, she is, like, I am not necessarily always a good friend.

Host or Speaker B

I think I try to be, but, like, you were, like, genuinely you.

Host or Speaker B

Yes, you.

Host or Speaker B

Like, genuinely a good friend.

Host or Speaker B

Like, you are very, like, caring from your heart.

Host or Speaker B

Like, innately, like, just naturally.

Host or Speaker B

You're like, a caring person.

Host or Speaker B

And I think that might come from, you know, you having such a close family and having so much support that now you like, extend that to support to your friends too.

Kayleigh Lambert

Even the guys in my family, like, you know, you think of warmth and like, nurturing.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, a lot of times you think of that being like a woman's role and what comes naturally to a mom or something of that sort or grandmother.

Kayleigh Lambert

But the guys in my family are really good about caring and being nurturing and checking on you if they know you've had something going on or, you know, just little things like that.

Kayleigh Lambert

And Nick is like that too.

Kayleigh Lambert

So I'm very blessed in that sense.

Kayleigh Lambert

But I.

Kayleigh Lambert

I have had really good role models in that area on my life.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah, you have.

Host or Speaker B

So her dad, like, Kaylee text me last week.

Host or Speaker B

And so we went to high school together just for reference.

Host or Speaker B

And she texted me last week and she was like, my dad is listening to your podcast.

Host or Speaker B

And, you know, just that.

Host or Speaker B

I mean, like, my dad probably doesn't even not try it personal.

Host or Speaker B

He probably doesn't have a podcast, you know, and so, like, to hear that, I'm like, wow, that genuinely a good man, which if anybody knows dad, he's literally the best person on the planet.

Host or Speaker B

He is.

Host or Speaker B

Yes, your mom is too.

Host or Speaker B

But your dad is just.

Host or Speaker B

If you think of a warm hug and then you think of a person that is Kayleigh's dad.

Host or Speaker B

I mean, he really is just like a big warm hug.

Host or Speaker B

And, I mean, he's just an incredible person.

Host or Speaker B

And I'm gonna give one more shout out to a man in your life.

Host or Speaker B

And I don't want him to listen to this and get a big ego, but I'm gonna shout out your husband because I feel like it is so common for, at least in the conversations that I hear for wives to have to, you know, it's very like the husband is babysitting the children.

Host or Speaker B

And I don't feel like that's the dynamic in your house.

Host or Speaker B

Like, I feel like Nick could just step in and he might not do it the way you want it done, but he's gonna step in and be dad.

Host or Speaker B

And I don't think that is also seen a lot these days.

Kayleigh Lambert

I said from the beginning, Nick is going to be the favorite parent.

Kayleigh Lambert

He is going to be the best.

Kayleigh Lambert

He's going to be the best parent because he's children have always been like naturally drawn to him.

Kayleigh Lambert

He's just warm and plays with him and loves on him.

Kayleigh Lambert

And our girls think he hung the moon.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, you can ask them at any time, who's your favorite?

Kayleigh Lambert

And they're going to say, they're dad.

Kayleigh Lambert

Unless they have, like, an off the wall answer.

Host or Speaker B

Right.

Host or Speaker B

But that's so good to, like, feel good about that.

Host or Speaker B

And I think that probably gives you two the freedom to, like, be yourself a little bit more, because you do know that you can, you know, if you need to, like, today, like, if you need to go do a podcast or if you need to go run somewhere, like, you're not having to send him, like, this long, detailed list, like, Nick can just handle it.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

The kids.

Host or Speaker B

The girls might end up at school in camo, right.

Kayleigh Lambert

With no hair bowden.

Host or Speaker B

Maybe some crocs might be involved.

Kayleigh Lambert

Same thing.

Kayleigh Lambert

I sent Maggie to school today without a hair bow.

Kayleigh Lambert

We were at the door, and I was like, that is good enough.

Host or Speaker B

Hey, if you can get that girl out of the door, that might be all.

Kayleigh Lambert

Her teeth were brushed, and she was excited to go to school, and that was a total win.

Host or Speaker B

So this girl, first of all, she's beautiful on the outside, but she's one of those kids that, you know, is going to be, like, a CEO one day because she is not taking anything from anybody.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

Like, she is a little powerhouse, for sure, a CEO.

Kayleigh Lambert

And we hope it doesn't go in a wrong direction because she is a little powerhouse and a lot of bossy.

Kayleigh Lambert

So, yeah, we're going to hope for, like, the CEO and just focus on the positive.

Host or Speaker B

Don't think about, you know, strong, powerful woman.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yes.

Host or Speaker B

Strong, powerful woman.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

I love that.

Host or Speaker B

So earlier we did well, we tried to do a little script.

Host or Speaker B

Like I said, when we get together, we are just, like, earlier, we talked about, like, balance and the importance of filling up your cup and what success looks like to you might not look like success to other people.

Host or Speaker B

And so I would love for you to talk about, at least in this season of your life, where you are with that and really kind of define what success looks like for you right now.

Kayleigh Lambert

Balance.

Kayleigh Lambert

Because I am a.

Kayleigh Lambert

I thrive being at home with my babies now.

Kayleigh Lambert

Whenever they get to about one and a half or two and they start, you can really start seeing a change where they're picking up on stuff and eager to learn and be with friends.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, that's when I also start having the desire to do something for myself as far as work goes.

Kayleigh Lambert

And that worked out with my first child.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then we just started.

Kayleigh Lambert

Maggie just went to school, and so far, it's been really great.

Kayleigh Lambert

I get to fill my cup with that during the day, they get interaction with their friends, and then we get to see each other when we get home and it's been really good.

Kayleigh Lambert

But as far as success goes, I will never say it's harder or easier to work or be a stay at home mom, because that looks different to.

Host or Speaker B

Everyone, and it probably looks different, too, depending on, I think, especially with their ages.

Host or Speaker B

Depending on the month.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

No, regardless, it's not easy.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, you're working.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

So it's just different types of work.

Kayleigh Lambert

And so where one person may want to go to work because they come home and they're a better mom.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then when I thought about going to work, I was upset because I felt like my purpose was to be home with them.

Kayleigh Lambert

That didn't make it any easier because I loved my job at the time, I loved it, but that's what I felt was important.

Kayleigh Lambert

So I will never be one to say, like, what is more important in your life, like, as long as you are filling your cup and doing the very best you can do, like, I don't think anyone can define someone else's success.

Host or Speaker B

Absolutely.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like there's so much pressure on women from all different angles, no matter what stage you're in.

Host or Speaker B

And I feel like social media has probably elevated this because people are only posting their 1%.

Host or Speaker B

We're not seeing the 99%, but I feel like women feel such a pressure to, oh, well, I should be doing this, but it's like, no, just do what feels good for you.

Host or Speaker B

Like, if this season of your life, you are barely hanging on and you get home at the end of the day and the dishes are stacked up and the laundry stacked up, but your babies are happy and they're safe and warm, then, like, that's what you know is super important.

Host or Speaker B

And that's what I love about you, is that her house will never have dishes stacked up and the laundry will never be.

Host or Speaker B

She's so clean.

Host or Speaker B

She's like, okay, go ahead.

Kayleigh Lambert

I have gotten a lot more relaxed, and it goes back to having, like, good people in my life.

Kayleigh Lambert

My mimi told my mom and my aunt Terry when we were babies, the laundry can wait.

Kayleigh Lambert

Hold your baby.

Kayleigh Lambert

Whether it be like, my mom stayed at home with me.

Kayleigh Lambert

My aunt Terry was a nurse and went back to work, and they both struggled with that.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, do my mom, here's her job, to be home with me during the day, and the laundry has to be done.

Kayleigh Lambert

Aunt Terry goes to work, comes home, the laundry still has to be done.

Kayleigh Lambert

But you've also got a baby.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

And time goes by so fast and so.

Kayleigh Lambert

And it's hard because I am one of those that wants my house to be a certain way.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I thrive with a to do listen and a planner.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I've kind of had to teach myself, too, to let some of that go so that other things can happen.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I will, like, replay this in my head.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, one day there's going to be a time when the floor is clean and you're going to miss the toys being everywhere.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

Oh, that makes me sad.

Kayleigh Lambert

I know.

Kayleigh Lambert

But just, like, when hard things happen and you think this won't last forever, you've got to think about that.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, the good stuff.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah, that is true.

Kayleigh Lambert

You've got to think about it from both sides.

Host or Speaker B

Living so in the morning.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

It will pass.

Kayleigh Lambert

You will get through this, you know, just get through it.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

But also the good moments and your kids seeing babies or when it's hard and they're screaming in the middle of the night, like, if you look at the good and the bad.

Kayleigh Lambert

I try to do that.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, this is temporary, so do I want to soak it in?

Kayleigh Lambert

And this is temporary.

Kayleigh Lambert

Can I get through this?

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, so it's just kind of.

Host or Speaker B

I love that.

Kayleigh Lambert

I'm trying.

Kayleigh Lambert

I'm really trying.

Host or Speaker B

I still think your definition of clean and mine are drastically different.

Host or Speaker B

She also is like, you garden and you cook, and I love to cook.

Host or Speaker B

Raises geese.

Host or Speaker B

Do you still have the geese at your house?

Kayleigh Lambert

They're turkeys.

Kayleigh Lambert

We have tin list, and I'm pretty sure they are going to their new home.

Host or Speaker B

So I pulled up her house one day and she.

Host or Speaker B

We talked about the turkeys.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

I've never.

Host or Speaker B

I've never seen a turkey in real life.

Host or Speaker B

And I think the intent was for them to be, like, a wild turkey.

Host or Speaker B

And then they became pet turkeys.

Host or Speaker B

I'm not joking, y'all.

Host or Speaker B

Like, a flock of.

Host or Speaker B

She's, like, clapping her hands, like.

Host or Speaker B

Like, making.

Host or Speaker B

I don't even know.

Host or Speaker B

Remember your turkey noise?

Host or Speaker B

She's making some kind of turkey noise.

Host or Speaker B

And these.

Host or Speaker B

These turkeys, like, waddled up to her and they were, like, looking at her like, well, that's the thing.

Kayleigh Lambert

They never should have.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, once we got them, Nick wanted to just kind of, like, see how they would do and then put them at the deer camp and just see, like, if they went into the wild, if they stayed around.

Kayleigh Lambert

Those birds have no, like, survival instinct at all.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, it has been so funny to watch because they think Nick is their mom and, like, they know the sound of his truck and, like, he will pull up, and then when we had ten or, you know, more than two and they were younger, he would pull up, and you would just see them all, like, running, running.

Kayleigh Lambert

And they.

Kayleigh Lambert

Turkeys are supposed to fly up in a tree and roast at night.

Kayleigh Lambert

These turkeys like to fly up on the grill or the outside refrigerator or just chill on the porch and look in the window.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like they, they have just been our pets.

Host or Speaker B

Y'all know, you made your house so warm and inviting that, like, even the animals are like, oh, we don't want to be in the wild.

Host or Speaker B

We don't.

Host or Speaker B

We don't want to be part of that.

Kayleigh Lambert

Or maybe they just feel at home because it's a little wild.

Host or Speaker B

That's true.

Host or Speaker B

Maybe that's it.

Host or Speaker B

Yes.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

So you mentioned filling your cup, and this is with work, and so obviously, we're in a beautiful office.

Host or Speaker B

We've got some color swatches behind us.

Host or Speaker B

So I would love for you to talk about your new business venture.

Host or Speaker B

I have already partaken in this business venture, and it has literally, fundamentally changed my life as far as my wardrobe.

Host or Speaker B

So I would love for you to talk about your new business for a minute, kind of how you got started and how it's going so far.

Kayleigh Lambert

I am so excited about it.

Kayleigh Lambert

So color analysis, and you are at Kaylee Lambert styling in my studio.

Kayleigh Lambert

You know, I was on TikTok, and I usually go to TikTok for, like, recipes or, like, makeup and fashion, like, just to see what all the good is, because I love girly stuff.

Kayleigh Lambert

I'm a girly girl.

Kayleigh Lambert

And one day I saw this video come on the screen, and it was about picking.

Kayleigh Lambert

She had swatches, and she was telling this girl what her best colors were, and I could noticeably see a difference in the girl's skin and how she looked and how she just lit up.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I was like, what is this?

Kayleigh Lambert

I've got to know more.

Kayleigh Lambert

So I just became obsessed with looking at the videos and just didn't really put a whole lot of thought into the business side of it, but was just like, I would love to do, this is so cool.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then one day, we were on our way back from a trip, and I just started looking it up, and I was like, I'm going to do this, and did the certification, found an office, did the training, passed the training, and it's so cool.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I get to do that every day with women, and you just get to see them light up whenever you pull one color from, like, not their best color to a good color.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, it's just, it's all the feel good, all the feel good and all the girly, and it's just I love it.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like it's such a personality, because I feel like you're so good at making other people feel good.

Host or Speaker B

Like, you're always one to give a compliment.

Host or Speaker B

You're always one to be a cheerleader.

Host or Speaker B

And I feel like with this job, it kind of takes your unique talents, and it let you use them very organically, because now with this job, you are able to, like, bring someone's, like, beautiful side out.

Host or Speaker B

Obviously, you know, they always look beautiful, but, like, you're able to, like, bring that glow out.

Host or Speaker B

And even, like, when she did my color analysis, like, I don't know.

Host or Speaker B

I don't know what I was expecting when I went into it.

Host or Speaker B

I guess.

Host or Speaker B

Cause I didn't know enough about it.

Host or Speaker B

Cause I'm kind of girly, but I'm not always great at everything.

Host or Speaker B

But when she showed me my in colors and now that I am buying clothes that are in my color palette and, like, I dyed my hair so I had a complete live transformation after, but it is.

Host or Speaker B

I mean, so now every time I pull a piece out of my closet, I'm like, oh, Kaylee.

Host or Speaker B

Like, Kaylee's the reason that I own this piece.

Host or Speaker B

And so I think that it takes your personality, and it really just, like, allows you to be your truest self.

Host or Speaker B

And I think that you were, like, the perfect person for this because you are such a cheerleader for women.

Kayleigh Lambert

Well, and everyone loves a compliment, but when you can actually see the change and just, like, what it does to your features.

Kayleigh Lambert

So I use drapes of all different colors to first determine what season you're in based on your undertone of your skin.

Kayleigh Lambert

Eye color kind of comes into effect or into play.

Kayleigh Lambert

Hair color, natural hair color.

Kayleigh Lambert

There's just a lot of different things.

Host or Speaker B

I look at.

Kayleigh Lambert

I look at what it does to your jawline, and if you have any blemishes or freckling, like, what it does to that.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, because the right colors enhance your natural beauty.

Kayleigh Lambert

So you come in with no makeup on, and that.

Kayleigh Lambert

That alone is kind of like a.

Kayleigh Lambert

Ugh, very intimidating.

Kayleigh Lambert

Even when I did it, I got in front of that mirror with no makeup on and that white tape, and you feel the opposite of what you feel like when you leave, because when you leave, you've got this whole refreshed idea of what you look like when you're wearing the right colors.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, nothing can stop you.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, I'm stopping right now.

Kayleigh Lambert

And so I put the drapes on and first determine if you're cool or warm.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then from that, the four seasons so you've got spring and autumn.

Kayleigh Lambert

They're warm.

Kayleigh Lambert

Summer and winter are cool.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then what's really cool about our system is there are now subseasons.

Kayleigh Lambert

So back in the day, you know, there were four.

Kayleigh Lambert

This was very popular in the eighties, too, and there were four seasons.

Kayleigh Lambert

Well, now it's expanded.

Kayleigh Lambert

So you may be really good in spring, but also you may have some harmony with summer because your undertone is neutral.

Kayleigh Lambert

So you would be a light spring.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, it's.

Kayleigh Lambert

It's just really cool.

Kayleigh Lambert

And you have.

Kayleigh Lambert

You leave with fresh ideas and really, like, just a glow.

Kayleigh Lambert

Like, you can just tell people are feeling better about themselves when they leave.

Kayleigh Lambert

And that's just such a good feeling.

Host or Speaker B

It is.

Host or Speaker B

You're so good at it, too.

Host or Speaker B

And I saw somebody make a post after they left, after they had an analysis done with you.

Host or Speaker B

And in her post, she said, have you ever bought something and months later, it's still hanging in the closet?

Host or Speaker B

You never wore it, and you wondered why.

Host or Speaker B

And that was, like, such a light bulb moment for me.

Host or Speaker B

And this was even after I'd had my color analysis done.

Host or Speaker B

And I was like.

Host or Speaker B

Cause I have, like, a section of things in my closet that they fit me, and theoretically, I should look good in them, but every time I try them on, I'm just like, something's off, you know?

Host or Speaker B

Like, I just don't look good in this.

Host or Speaker B

So I went to that section the other day after I had my color analysis done, and I tried it on, like, with my swatches.

Host or Speaker B

And then, like, thinking back on when you did my color analysis, and I was like, that's it.

Host or Speaker B

It's the colors.

Host or Speaker B

It's not the fit.

Host or Speaker B

It's not the anything else.

Host or Speaker B

It is literally the colors like it.

Host or Speaker B

And so now I can save time, money, and my confidence is going to be better because I'm not going to be trying things on and being like, why do I look so ugly in this?

Host or Speaker B

It's because I'm a, x, y, or z.

Host or Speaker B

You know, my body's not.

Host or Speaker B

I'm, you know, fat or I'm too short or whatever.

Host or Speaker B

It's just not my color.

Kayleigh Lambert

Right.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

And so I love it.

Host or Speaker B

I love that you're, like, kind of opening that up for people.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I was so guilty about, and I probably still will be if it's in my color palette.

Kayleigh Lambert

But finding a shirt I liked and then saying, oh, I'm gonna get it in every color because I just thought it was great.

Kayleigh Lambert

And then I got these other colors, and I would go to put them on, and it I would.

Kayleigh Lambert

Again, question, like, what you were saying, the fit, or is it made different or something?

Kayleigh Lambert

And now I can look back and it was totally the color.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

Same shirt.

Kayleigh Lambert

Bought it in three colors.

Kayleigh Lambert

Only one of them worked, and that's why I didn't wear two.

Host or Speaker B

It's crazy.

Host or Speaker B

It really is.

Host or Speaker B

So if someone is wanting to book a session, like, how would they go about that?

Host or Speaker B

Are they.

Host or Speaker B

How is kind of the reach out to you?

Kayleigh Lambert

So I have a Facebook page.

Kayleigh Lambert

Kaylee Lambert, styling.

Kayleigh Lambert

Instagram and TikTok are the same.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Kayleigh Lambert

Kaylee Lambert styling.

Kayleigh Lambert

And on those sites, you will find a link to book Facebook.

Kayleigh Lambert

It's at the very top.

Kayleigh Lambert

And I think Instagram it is too.

Kayleigh Lambert

But, yeah, you just go and it's got all the options.

Kayleigh Lambert

I can do parties one on one, offer it on the weekends, and you just click it, and you book, and it sends me a notification, and you're on my calendar.

Host or Speaker B

I love that.

Host or Speaker B

I love that you've made it so simple for people to book, because I feel like everything these days is so complex, and if something is a little bit too hard for me, I'm not inherently a lazy person, but if something is difficult, I'm like, I'm out.

Host or Speaker B

I love that you made it so simple for people to book it.

Kayleigh Lambert

I like simple, too.

Host or Speaker B

Yes.

Kayleigh Lambert

We're both.

Host or Speaker B

We're both very simple.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

You might not think it looking at us, because we are.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like the way we dress and the way we carry ourselves is such a juxtaposition to, like, our personalities.

Host or Speaker B

Because if you saw me, you might be like, oh, she's very put together, and she's very blah, blah, blah.

Host or Speaker B

And then I'm like, you know, like, earlier, I hadn't even, like, charged the microphones.

Host or Speaker B

I mean, we were just kind of rolling in with it, but we make it work.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

Because if you catch me at the compound at my house, hanging out with some people, leggings, t shirt, no makeup, probably my hair and a hat.

Host or Speaker B

That's another thing about the color analysis, too, is, like, not only will the colors make you feel good about yourself, but Kaylee will make you feel good about yourself.

Host or Speaker B

Like, I'm telling you, she's a natural cheerleader.

Host or Speaker B

She's a girls girl.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like it's so hard to find, like, true girls girls these days.

Host or Speaker B

Like, a lot of people have an agenda or, you know, they have an end goal in mind, which is perfectly fine if that, you know, is how you want to conduct yourself.

Host or Speaker B

But, like, I feel like you're just, like, a genuine.

Host or Speaker B

A genuine good person.

Kayleigh Lambert

It's just easy to be nice to people.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Kayleigh Lambert

And like, for you, like, instead of.

Kayleigh Lambert

I try, you know, you are nice.

Kayleigh Lambert

You're very nice.

Host or Speaker B

Way nicer than me, though.

Host or Speaker B

I'm like kind of a secondary nice.

Host or Speaker B

I'm like, oh, she.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

Would she get to know her?

Host or Speaker B

She's really nice.

Kayleigh Lambert

Secondary nice.

Host or Speaker B

You know, you gotta, like, kind of.

Host or Speaker B

You gotta ease in.

Host or Speaker B

Like, you, like, walk in the room nice.

Host or Speaker B

You're nice on the.

Host or Speaker B

Your wholeness is nice.

Host or Speaker B

My heart is nice, but maybe not the, you know, on the forefront.

Kayleigh Lambert

Always.

Kayleigh Lambert

You just keep your phone before.

Kayleigh Lambert

That's okay.

Host or Speaker B

That's true.

Host or Speaker B

That's true.

Kayleigh Lambert

That's okay.

Kayleigh Lambert

Guard your heart.

Host or Speaker B

Yep.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

We're.

Kayleigh Lambert

Protect your peace.

Host or Speaker B

I feel like going quickly into it.

Host or Speaker B

Well, this is our problem is because we are so we have such good conversation is we can very quickly, like go on and like earlier we went down a rabbit hole.

Host or Speaker B

I don't even remember what we talked about.

Host or Speaker B

And Kaylee made the comment, she said, wow, we only talked for an hour.

Kayleigh Lambert

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

Because normally when we go off on a tangent, like when we go like, to Shreveport or something together, I mean, we're just like.

Host or Speaker B

And then you get home and you're like, what did we talk about tonight?

Host or Speaker B

But we were together for 12 hours, so we obviously.

Host or Speaker B

We didn't shut up.

Host or Speaker B

So we obviously talked about something.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah, but it filled my cup.

Host or Speaker B

We're filling each other.

Host or Speaker B

Yeah.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

We're doing it right now.

Host or Speaker B

Okay.

Host or Speaker B

I hope that y'all followed that ramble and I hope that you enjoyed this episode.

Host or Speaker B

It was so.

Host or Speaker B

I've been super excited for this episode because.

Host or Speaker B

Me too.

Host or Speaker B

I knew Kayleigh was gonna be a good guest.

Host or Speaker B

I knew that you were gonna love her.

Host or Speaker B

Like I said, she's very engaging.

Host or Speaker B

She's so fun.

Host or Speaker B

She's such a girls girl.

Host or Speaker B

You absolutely need to come visit her.

Host or Speaker B

If you're not from El Dorado, just make a girls trip and we can.

Host or Speaker B

We can turn it into a fun thing.

Host or Speaker B

We'll go grab a spot of wine and we'll have a party.

Host or Speaker B

Turn it into a girl.

Kayleigh Lambert

Always a party, always a good time.

Host or Speaker B

Yes.
