Hey there, it's Michael. Welcome to Whole again. A show about helping survivors a physical injury and trauma, reclaim their strength and resilience through the wisdom of ksu.
Today I have a microdose meditation for you that's built on an ancient practice. It's all about laughter. We'll take a couple minutes and simply laugh deep down and from the belly. So when you're ready, you can settle into a comfortable posture. And if you like, you can close your eyes or you can leave them open and watch the world go by as you laugh.
And we'll begin with a deep breath breathing up fully through your nose.
And now release the breath and perhaps feeling a sense of groundedness as you do.
And with your next breath in, we'll begin to laugh.
I don't know about you, but I'm crying and I think I just had one of the best AB workouts ever. A laughter meditation is grounded in ancient traditions, going all the way back to stoicism and practices within Buddhism and. Yoga from a laughter and a joy perspective, and it can have tremendous benefits on our overall health and in particular our cardiovascular and our mental and emotional wellbeing.
There are some days where we just need to laugh and I hope you come back to this practice when that moment occurs for you. If you like, you can take a few deep inhales and relaxing exhales. As you think about transitioning into the next part of your day, you can even give the body a little stretch. And as always, thank you for practicing with me and today.
Thanks for sharing a. And putting a beautiful ripple into the world.
