Welcome to the Faith Based Business podcast.

Today, we're so blessed you're joining us this week.

You know, we've been doing a deep.

Well, the past several weeks, we've been doing a deep dive on, you know, how to find a niche.

And this week we've been focused on, have you considered coaching?

And today I want to discuss places you can go to find people who are buyers and readers.

I mean, what are they buying?

What are they reading?

Matter.

You may be asking that question, but the real question should be, if I want to see what people are really reading, where do I have to go?

And that's the whole thing.

All right, so let me go ahead and share this and we'll jump into it.

Praise the Lord.

And if you're old like me, the first response is probably going to be the library.

That's where I used to go.

Or the bookstore.

That's always a good option.

Both of them are still viable options.

But modern technology has made the library and the bookstore readily accessible.

Where you don't have to go down there anymore.

Right.

Matter of fact, we have a place that puts it all together for us.

It's called Amazon.

Praise God for Amazon.

Hallelujah.

So where do we go to see what people are really reading today?

You go to Amazon.

Amazon does a great job of ranking every single book.

They are the number one bookseller in the entire world.

And they tell you which books are number one this week, which books are number two this week, which books are number 1,000 this week.

Now, at the same time that they give you all those rankings, you know you're receiving more information, but they don't tell you how many books they sold.

Interesting, isn't it?

They're ranked, but they don't tell you how many books are sold.

But it's pretty easy for you to see that if book number one is number one because it sold more books than number 1,000, and if book number 1,000, it sold more books than number 2,000.

That just makes sense, right?

So if there's 25 books on a particular topic that are getting some decent rankings, that tells you people are buying books on that particular topic.

So Amazon is a great place to go to determine if your general niche has some interest.

Amen.

Obviously, it doesn't tell you what to do if you have a deep interest in your niche and nobody's ever going to write a book about it.

It could be how to collect thumbtacks or something like that.

I mean, if there's no interest in it, but it's something you want to do.

Sorry, Amazon's not going to be able to help.

You have to figure it out on your own.

But you know, and we'll, we'll get into all that in a little bit.

But next we need to find out what people listen to and watch.

Not just what they're reading, but what do they listen to and watch.

So we've looked at print, we want to find out what people are reading.

We go to Amazon if we want to find out what people are listening to.

Where do we go?

We go where the podcasters are.

Some people might go to Apple Podcast or Spotify and find out what people are listening to.

So we have to go where the audios are listed at and hosted at and we find out what most people are listening to by doing research there.

By the way, you can do that on Amazon as well, but because Amazon will tell you what people are listening to.

How do you know?

Because if they're buying it, listen to me now.

If they're buying it, they're probably paying money to have the pleasure of listening to it also so they can catch it on the goal.

Because a lot of people are listening to the podcast in her car or they're reading.

My, my daughter is an avid audio listener.

She listens to audio books all the time.

So that's, that's one place you can find that information out.

But let's say you want to start with videos.

So folks are watching videos.

How do we find them?

Now YouTube is a great place to find people who are watching YouTube videos.

You go to YouTube, you find out what people are listening to on YouTube.

How do you find out if they're watching it?

Just don't look for one video that has 1 million views.

You look for 25 videos on a particular topic or your niche that all have a bunch of views, right?

That tells you then that there's some diversity.

That tells you that people are interested in that topic.

It's not just a viral video or a one hit wonder as we used to call it back in the day.

And if they're interested in the topic, they'll be, they'll be buying other things as well.

So you're going to find out about videos, audios and books.

Those are the popular formats, the most popular ones.

I suppose there's still people who, you know, do pen and paper and do stuff like that.

But if you want to do the quick research, go to where the people are at, go to where the products are at.

Go and find out there.

They've already got all this stuff broken down into the different niches.

All you have to do is go do the research.
