And today I'm taking a look at exploring spiritual awakening.

It's a big subject and it's one I've kind of avoided covering because it is such a big subject.

And this is a short video, but I would like to explore it in the context of the significant shifts that are happening on our planet at the moment.

Because there is so much happening and it's only accelerating.

And many of us are feeling a call to higher consciousness, to reconnecting with spirit.

And it's essential to understand what a spiritual awakening means and how you can actively participate in this transformative journey.

I'm not saying that I'm completely spiritually awake, but I have been on this journey for many, many years.

Heather Masters

And I just wanted to share some of the things that I do to help myself and also some of the things I'm learning.

And I think we're always learning, we're always growing and learning new ways to connect with source, to connect with our intuition.

So spiritual awakening is a profound shift in consciousness.

Heather Masters

And it's where we begin to transcend our ego driven identities and connect with a deeper sense of self, often referred to as the big s, the big self, or pure awareness or connection to source and or pure love.

And this awakening allows us to recognize that we're nothing, just isolated beings, but we're part of a greater whole.

We're part of the universe, the unified field, if you like.

Heather Masters

We're interconnected.

Heather Masters

In light of the current global shifts, many are experiencing heightened sensitivity and awareness, and that's leading to a collective awakening.

Heather Masters

And we're also witnessing the escalation of the opposite, the escalation of separateness, of againstness, of conflict.

Heather Masters

So as we navigate these turbulent times, it's crucial to understand that spiritual awakening is not merely an individual experience, but it is a collective one.

And that people around the world are feeling the urge to awaken and are leading to a more conscious evolution of humanity.

Heather Masters

This shift encourages us not only to let go of outdated beliefs and embrace new perspectives that align with our true nature as conscious beings, but that in doing so, we have the ability to shape a new world.

So here are three practical steps towards awakening to today and to support you on your awakening journey.

And it's to help you embark or deepen your spiritual journey, but also to mentally build resilience against what's happening outside and turning inwards to support yourself and to support the planet.

By doing so.

Heather Masters

In creating a new vision, the first one we've touched on a number of times, and it's practicing mindfulness meditation.

Heather Masters

It's a powerful tool for fostering awareness and for grounding yourself in the present moment.

Heather Masters

And as we become more spiritually aware, being in that present moment becomes a key to anchoring ourselves, to understanding that that's the point from where we create our reality.

So mindfulness meditation set aside ten to 15 minutes a day and sit quietly.

Heather Masters

Just focus on your breath, observe your thoughts and your feelings without judgment.

Heather Masters

And I really do find that it's the feeling part, especially during traumatic times, that links us back into our body, back into the present moment, and accepting the feelings without judgment, watching them arise and noticing them in the body, where they are in the body, whether they feel light or heavy, do they have a colour?

Really looking at the feelings and seeing how we really experience them?

Heather Masters

Because we can get stuck in freeze mode, and freeze mode causes us to dissociate from our bodies, so that bringing yourself back into the body and practicing that mindfulness allows you to step back into life and to cultivate a sense of peace and aliveness amidst external chaos, and it brings you back into your own sense of power.

You can start by following guided meditations.

I use headspace and I find that really, really useful.

Heather Masters

But I do also use semantic meditations as well that really help me to connect with my body.

Heather Masters

The other thing we mentioned last week is engaging in journaling, and that's been coming up for me in a massive, massive way.

I think journaling, because it engages your unconscious mind, because it engages and helps you connect with your intuition, your spiritual side, with your higher self.

Journaling can really help you gain insights, gain guidance, and also, again, reconnect with those emotions that are arising and just allowing them.

You're asking your body what's the message that it wants to give you?

Heather Masters

And just journaling, allowing that space for whatever to come through.

Heather Masters

You can consider spiritual prompts like, what does spiritual awakening mean to you?

Heather Masters

Or how do I feel connected to the universe?

Heather Masters

But you can also use, what guidance have you for me today?

Heather Masters

What's the one action that it's important for me to take today?

Heather Masters

What's the one step forward in my spiritual journey that I could benefit from taking today?

Heather Masters

Journaling is so powerful that I have decided I'm going to offer a daily journaling community.

Heather Masters

There's 90 days left from tomorrow to the end of 2024, and I recognize that the outside world, the chaos, is only going to accelerate unless we take that time to journal to work with mindfulness.

So I'm creating a community.

Heather Masters

I'm calling it new life by design, so that we can create a community in journaling around not only how we navigate these times, but how we create a vision for the future, how we begin to unravel that new life, that new way of being.

Heather Masters

And I'll put the details in the comment area or in the show notes, so please do look out for that if you want to have a look more into that.

The other thing is about connecting with nature, really grounding yourself and nature.

Heather Masters

Spending time and nature can really enhance your spiritual connection because you're connecting with the energy of nature.

Heather Masters

Whether it's a walk in the park, a hike in the mountains, or simply sitting under a tree, immersing yourself in the natural world around you really benefits you.

Heather Masters

As I say, by grounding, by changing the energy, the electricity electrical field in your body, by helping you again come back to the present moment where all the power is, by paying attention to the sights and sounds and sensations, and letting nature remind you of your interconnectedness with all living things.

And especially as we're going through the change of seasons, that we all have seasons in life, that life is cyclical, that we do move into different modes of being as we move forward on our journey.

This connection with nature can evoke feelings of unity and peace, and it can reinforce your spiritual journey.

Heather Masters

And as I say, the most important thing, it can really ground you in the present moment.

Heather Masters

So, as we conclude today's session on exploring spiritual awakening amidst the chaos and the global shift and the nonsense, remember that this is an ongoing journey and it's unique for each of us.

Some things will work, some things won't work.

Heather Masters

But by incorporating mindful practices, however that works for you, whichever version of mindfulness works for you by fostering a deeper understanding of yourself through reflective journaling and connecting with nature in your daily routine.

Whether it's a walk or just stepping barefoot in the garden, it will help you stay connected to the moment, stay connected to your internal guidance, to your internal power, and deepen your understanding of your place in the universe, especially at this time.
