Danny

I think we need to get to grips with the fact that every time that you feel pain, you should use it as power to grow.

Danny

A phoenix has to go through the fire to rise out of the ashes and become that beautiful, vibrant, colorful, fiery bird.

Host

So welcome back to the Networking Spark podcast.

Host

I've got a super special guest here with me today.

Host

Now, this is the first podcast I've recorded away from any of the studios I usually use.

Host

So apologies, this is a learning exercise, but I would love to introduce somebody that is an entrepreneur, a strategist, the.

Liam

Co owner of where we are right.

Host

Now, Club Quantum in Tunbridge Wells.

Host

She's a multiple business owner, a tech educational, platform building company, teacher, trainer, linguist, a speaker, a course writer, management and strategy consultant, and a Bosnian war refugee.

Host

Welcome, Danny.

Host

That was a lot.

Danny

That was amazing.

Danny

Thank you so much.

Danny

And I'd like to say a huge well done to Jess for setting up this whole podcast and her equipment here at the club.

Danny

I think that's really brave.

Danny

Venturing out onwards allotments for 2025.

Danny

Thank you for the lovely introduction.

Danny

Means a lot.

Host

Well, thank you so much for being here.

Host

I, I'd love to just start, Danny, by asking you, who is Danny?

Host

And I just, you're, you know, what does it feel like being you because you've been through so much.

Host

So who is Dani?

Host

Just introduce yourself a little bit more to the audience.

Danny

Okay, so my name is, my full name is Daniela.

Danny

I am 37 years old.

Danny

I am an entrepreneur.

Danny

I come from the corporate space so I've been running my own businesses since I was about 21, 22.

Danny

And in that time I've also worked through corporate companies.

Danny

That's my kind of work life.

Danny

Personally, I'm a mum of a 12 year old.

Danny

I recently moved slightly out of Tunbridge Wells to the countryside so I could grow my own fruit and vegetables.

Danny

I love the moon, I love the sun.

Danny

I love creating potions, understanding and taking herbal potions and I would say homemade remedies for things like the common cold.

Danny

Done a lot of research into how people can live organically.

Danny

I love yoga, I love running.

Danny

I compete in challenges like the tough mudder.

Danny

And then I love bringing other people up really.

Danny

So I like to allow other people the space to be able to become their best versions of themselves.

Danny

And now that could be through coaching them, it could be through assisting them with their business and growth strategies.

Danny

It could be just being an ear that listens to them.

Danny

It could be a hug.

Danny

I'm a hugger.

Danny

I love hugging.

Danny

Or Providing a space like Club Quantum, where like minds come together on good days and bad days and we can all just talk about it.

Host

I think we can safely say there are many, many, many, many, many layers to you, and you're incredibly intriguing and interesting to talk to.

Host

So on this podcast, I like to interview inspiring entrepreneurs, but also story to tell.

Host

So I'm so pleased to have you here and in Club Quantum as well.

Host

I'm about to go to Dubai and one of the shakes that kind of created Dubai, which is kind of a totally new concept really in many ways.

Host

But he said that there are, you know, people that come from an easy life tend to be quite often quite weak.

Host

These are his words.

Host

So weak people are produced from an easy life, whereas hugely successful and strong people come from difficulty and from a tough life.

Host

What are your thoughts on that?

Danny

So I am in some form of agreement.

Danny

I have seen people who have been through the worst times and seen the worst things imaginable, like other fellow Bosnian refugees that came to England in the early 90s, have been, you know, there are friends of mine and other families like mine who have lost relatives, lost their homes, moved country, came here not speaking English, and they've been extremely successful.

Danny

I think that our strength is made in hardship.

Danny

I feel like pain is often underestimated in terms of it should always be a negative emotion and feeling.

Danny

And I think we need to get to grips with the fact that every time that you feel pain, you should use it as power to grow.

Danny

I feel that going through tough times in your life gives you a very resilient aspect to soul and character.

Danny

It makes you turn inwards to find the inner strength to be able to survive certain situations.

Danny

I think that trauma impacts the body and the mind in different ways, which then leads us to meditate, to, you know, do yoga, to see healers, to talk about it, which in turn then does heal us.

Danny

I feel that a phoenix has to go through the fire to rise out of the ashes and become that beautiful, vibrant, colorful, fiery bird.

Host

This is what I see in you, Danny.

Host

And I think you're in a great position to be able to advise other people because you've been through so much and come out the other side.

Host

And not only that, you've taken responsibility for your own healing.

Host

And most people have got no idea what you've been through and what it takes to get to where you are today.

Host

So how has that journey been?

Danny

It's been.

Danny

I've got lots of tattoos, and the tattoos on my body are the story of my Life.

Danny

Each tattoo is created through a little bit of pain, and each tattoo is very meaningful.

Danny

And so I feel like my life so far has been a book still to be written.

Danny

And each chapter, no matter what good things have happened, have alongside them always had the hardships.

Danny

So I'm someone who goes with the flow, like yourself.

Danny

We've had some conversations about this and Jess does these amazing podcasts where she doesn't script them, and she literally goes with the flow.

Danny

And I really, really appreciate that.

Danny

That's how, you know, my life has been.

Danny

And I've learned to go with the flow within kind of an everyday setting.

Danny

And I feel that journeying through life, not expecting anything, whether that be from another person or from society or from, you know, the universe, giving and then being open to receiving is the way.

Danny

I'm very traditional in terms of.

Danny

Most people don't know this about me, actually, because they all think that I work in the tech world or I've got certain views and opinions, but actually I'm a very, very traditional lady who likes to still hold grips on home life, cooking, cleaning, being the kind of feminine support within my family, within my workspace, working alongside some amazing men as well, who have made me tough, have brought out my masculine side so I can sit side by side with.

Danny

With manpower, but I can do it in my feminine kind of way.

Danny

So, yeah, I think that I found my way through by being open to come what may not.

Danny

Scripting my everyday.

Danny

Sometimes I'm late for things and that's okay, I'll be there.

Danny

I had this.

Danny

I have this badge and it says, sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come and I just think we need to laugh a lot in life.

Danny

I think we need to giggle.

Danny

I think that we've run some recent events here at Club Quantum, and what's got us through is the giggles.

Danny

Even when it's been, you know, exhausting and stressful and making sure that every single detail is correct.

Danny

And the other piece of advice I'd give to everybody is don't be too harsh on yourself.

Danny

Nobody's perfect.

Danny

And I think nowadays we're seeing that more than ever.

Danny

And guess what?

Danny

It's okay not to be perfect.

Danny

So, you know, run with the flow.

Danny

I think positive affirmations, setting mind shift goals, setting intentions and trying to run, trying to run your life daily with love and giving will make sure that you, you know, will be reciprocated by the universe.

Danny

And I mentioned the universe a lot because I did a recent post and it was about taking the risk to believe in the universe.

Danny

And guess what?

Danny

It's worked and it's working.

Danny

And very rarely do I not achieve, not get or not come up with what I see as a vision or what I ask for in a meditation, or what I manifest.

Danny

And I think that is due to trusting the process.

Danny

It's due to inner work that I've done to have a, like a boss babe mindset.

Danny

It's a slight rhino skin that I've grown from pain and from my past and watching people around me suffering.

Danny

And a rhino skin is that tough layer of our outside where, yeah, it might be literally hailing, raining, pouring.

Danny

You walk into work drenched, you know, what do you do about it?

Danny

You stick your hair back and you get on with the day, you know, 100% baby wipe, wipe the makeup off, get what you can, done what you can't.

Danny

Can wait until tomorrow.

Danny

And actually, how much pressure do we put on ourselves to tick off a checklist on a daily basis?

Host

Too much in this country for sure.

Danny

Something like 70, 80% of that checklist probably could wait until tomorrow or the next day.

Host

Delegate.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

And prioritize.

Host

Is it interesting you mention vision boards?

Host

Because I ran a vision board workshop last night, and I think it's such a powerful thing to do.

Host

And looking back over vision boards created them and they've been big dreams, but just having them in front of you or somewhere where you can see them every single day just allows you to be able to meditate on them, to take the action steps to get there.

Host

Right.

Host

And to attract them into your life and to have good energy about that too.

Host

So I'm really curious, what's on your vision board for 2025-2026?

Danny

Oh, that's a good question.

Danny

So on the vision board is to continue on a personal level and personal development to delve into my deeper, darker feminine state according to traditions that I feel feminine powers and women came from.

Danny

So it's really strange going backwards.

Danny

Right.

Danny

So I would like to delve further into exploring how far intuitive powers can take me.

Danny

I would like to explore the depths of how far my mind can go, because I believe that the mind's the most powerful weapon on earth.

Danny

I would like to explore deeper in pulling out, you know, further demons and triggers and darkness that I have within myself and working with those to create.

Danny

So next year is going to see a load of creativity coming.

Danny

I've been really lucky to be able to put so much of my creative mind into this space here that we're in Today, from colors to random bits and pieces that Liam and I have chosen.

Danny

Liam's my business partner in Club Quantum, by the way.

Host

And you're very different.

Host

Right.

Danny

We're the yin and the yang.

Danny

He's a very special person in my life because he was the other part of what made this club possible.

Danny

Liam is.

Danny

We are the complete opposites, which is.

Host

What you want with a business partnership.

Danny

Absolutely.

Danny

But yet when we have to stand together and stand strong and get things done, we do so, you know, the creative aspect of my character and my soul that I feel burning inside me every single day, I want to bring more of that out and I want to make sure that the.

Danny

And Liam as well, we want to make sure that Club Quantum becomes its best version of itself.

Danny

You know, a brand is only as good as the kind of message and the ethos that it lets out.

Danny

And also I think the characters behind the brand are what grows the brand, not just the marketing itself.

Danny

So we want our identity at Club Quantum to come through for 2025.

Danny

We are very lucky to be working with Tunbridge Wells magazine and groups like the Tunbridge Wells Media Group, people like yourselves, people like the TN Card on projects for events coming up.

Danny

So we want to bring the community together more for event and like minded people who can rise together.

Danny

I would also like to assist my daughter through secondary school and she's becoming a very sassy, savvy, capable young lady.

Danny

And recently she's been flourishing in her exams and she has been, she's just scored 100% in one of her English language assessments and when she was younger she published poetry.

Danny

So I'd like to encourage her to work on her writings more.

Danny

And she's taking ballet up, she's taken horse riding up.

Danny

So I want to be the encouraging mum that she leads through her journey and I can lead her alongside mine.

Host

She's got an incredible role model to.

Danny

Be fair, as have your children as well.

Danny

So I think that, you know, between us, I think we're, we're, we're doing the mummy thing, all right.

Danny

And then global business.

Danny

I'm expanding my CBD company.

Danny

So Trippy Panther, which is my CBD company, we have our own farm growing CBD traceable to the seed in Poland.

Danny

We then distribute that globally.

Danny

And in the uk, I would like to develop hemp Crete, which is concrete, to build buildings with, which is very sustainable and future proof hemps, the fastest growing growing plant on earth.

Danny

So there's no reason we shouldn't be using it more.

Danny

And I'd like to develop the.

Danny

I'm a speaker.

Danny

I'd like to do some more keynote speaking.

Danny

I would like to help other people grow and strategize their businesses and shed the fear behind taking a risk, behind being their authentic self.

Danny

And then I would like to authentically shine some more because I'm still discovering who I am and as I do, and bringing it to the surface.

Danny

And I think it takes, excuse the pun, a lot of balls to be a woman sometimes.

Danny

And I think that, you know, 2025, we'll see the rise of a lot of people, men and women, bringing out their authentic selves.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

I mean, 2020 to 2023 has been hard.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

For many, many people.

Host

And I feel like 2024 has been a year of building and growing.

Host

And I just have this feeling that 2025 is just going to bring so much.

Host

I feel like we've been building up, building up.

Host

And, you know, I don't want to tempt fate, but I do have a really good feeling about 2025.

Danny

And is that intuitive?

Host

Yes.

Danny

Yes.

Danny

Yeah, absolutely.

Host

They also a case of balance, when things have been, like, not great for a lot of people for.

Host

For quite a long time and people have been struggling.

Host

I do find sometimes, you know, things might balance themselves out.

Host

But, yeah, it is an intuitive feeling.

Danny

And do you find?

Danny

What I found is more than ever, I've been shedding.

Danny

And, you know, I'm obsessed with snakes.

Host

I love them.

Danny

I'm really trying to get one for Christmas if my business partner allows.

Host

So on your father Christmas list, a snake, a new phone.

Danny

Because I take way too many photos to have such an old phone.

Danny

And that for someone who works in tech, my phone's terrible.

Danny

And also a snake, a pet snake is definitely on my list.

Danny

But I am way probably too much in love with the serpent.

Danny

And the idea that, you know, shedding our skin is what we need to do to survive.

Danny

And.

Danny

And I feel that, especially the last three months, shedding as a collective.

Danny

I've seen it.

Danny

Friends, business partners, family, shedding the things that no longer serve them.

Danny

And I think if we can get that done December and start January with the strengths, knowing that nothing that serves us should be in our life any longer.

Danny

And that's tough, isn't it?

Danny

Because how many people want to admit that some of the things in their life are actually not serving them and they need to let them go.

Danny

It may be friendships that no longer serve you.

Danny

It may be, you know, maybe family members that don't make you feel good.

Danny

About yourself.

Danny

You know, it may be the work that you're in or the job that you're in.

Danny

It may be a hobby that you have, or it just may be habits.

Danny

Yeah, habits or triggers that we want to shed that are, you know, toxic to our.

Danny

Our being.

Danny

It may be, you know, a food item that you eat that, you know, we want to.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

I mean, I'm a big believer of making space for new things to come.

Host

It's like when, if you like in your house, if you have a total sort out, rather than being a hoarder.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

You're creating space for new life, for new things to come.

Host

And you can do that with every aspect of your life.

Host

I think it's quite a nice time of year to be thinking about that as you come towards the end of the year and you pause.

Host

Perhaps not in this industry that you're in now, but when you do get some time, you know, what can I let go of?

Host

And then what do I want to create?

Host

And hence the vision board.

Host

Going back to your tattoos, Dan, if you don't mind.

Host

I had my first ever tattoo and it's interesting what you said about it's a little bit of pain and it represents something that you've been through.

Host

So mine's very meaningful and I just felt the need to do it.

Host

It's to represent somebody very close to me that I lost.

Host

And so.

Host

Yeah, so.

Host

Sorry.

Host

So, yeah.

Host

So it's a letter with a lotus flower, and lotus flowers grow growth from the mud.

Host

So beauty can come through going through something tough and then a dove above it.

Host

So that was symbolic.

Host

How many tattoos have you got?

Danny

I stopped counting when I had 16.

Host

Wow.

Danny

So I think now I've probably got probably about 27, 28 ish tattoos if you count the finger tattoos.

Danny

Probably quite a few more than that as well.

Host

And each one has a story and a meaning.

Host

Is there one that's the most, most meaningful to you?

Danny

So meaning wise, my first ever tattoo was three names that I had done here.

Danny

This is my longest standing tattoo and I'm.

Danny

It's quite still very dark, which I'm quite surprised about.

Danny

But the secrets.

Danny

Cocoa butter or cocoa oil.

Danny

Great for the darkness of tattoos to stay.

Danny

And that is my father's name.

Danny

And my father was killed in the war in former Slavia.

Danny

It's my granddad's name.

Danny

And my granddad was killed in the war too.

Danny

And it's my oldest stepbrother's name who died in a car crash not long after the war actually.

Danny

So I Felt those three names and then were very symbolic at that time.

Danny

And from that I've then gone on to have.

Host

And is that a way of keeping them with you, carrying them with you?

Danny

Yeah, they're always there.

Danny

They've not faded from my life, you know, their memories.

Danny

And I feel like when I go, then all of the stuff on my body will go with me.

Danny

With my body anyway, my soul will go somewhere else, but.

Danny

And then I've got Medusa.

Danny

She was the lady that built a very, very hard skin and head full of snakes.

Danny

I've got big cats because of the significance of their power and their transformation.

Danny

On my hands, I've got pirates because I like shiny things.

Danny

I've got languages like Chinese and Arabic because I've spent a lot of time in Asia and the Middle east for work and for life.

Danny

And my family are Bosnian, but our origins are Ottoman.

Danny

1300s, the Ottomans occupied Bosnia.

Danny

So you'll see a lot of the third eye.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

And the kind of like Turkish symbolism on my body as well, because I feel like a lot of my roots are very, very Turkish slash Arabic.

Danny

Like the cooking that I was taught by my grandmother and my mother and the women in my family.

Danny

Like a lot of the words in our language that we use, a lot of the music that we listen to, the smells, you know, the ouds, the jasmine, the scents, and lots of our traditions.

Danny

I love Istanbul as well.

Danny

So there is a lot of significance to traveling Istanbul.

Danny

I've also got recently and I went to Steve's crew at Black and even in town, actual snake scales put into my body now as tattoos.

Danny

So some of my skin is snakeskin.

Host

Really?

Danny

Yeah.

Host

Wow.

Host

And then it's so symbolic for you, the snake.

Danny

Yeah.

Danny

The gypsy ladies are a beautiful symbol of the crystal ball looking into the future.

Danny

And I'm someone that likes to live in the present.

Danny

However, I like to manifest my future.

Danny

So there's a spiritual element to that.

Danny

Rather than think about it in.

Danny

In a way that's going to create anxiety.

Danny

I'm not interested in, you know, being anxious.

Danny

I'm not.

Danny

It sounds about.

Danny

I'm interested in being depressed.

Danny

So if I say to myself, I will not allow depression or anxiety to take hold of me, what am I going to do about it?

Danny

Or I could just surrender and go, okay, I'll live in the past.

Danny

I'll sit here depressed.

Danny

Or I'll think too far into the future.

Danny

I'll sit here anxious.

Danny

That's a conscious decision to make.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

And, you know, then you're also opening Yourself up to, you know, being led by the likes of Big Pharma and being given medicines for certain things or, you know, and opening myself up to almost be shot at like that.

Danny

It's not something I like to do.

Host

No.

Danny

So I like to find ways to turn inwards, to heal, to cure, to work on triggers.

Danny

And everyone has triggers.

Danny

We should all work on triggers.

Host

Probably.

Danny

Some of my tattoos are actually trigger.

Danny

Like lots of snakes everywhere.

Host

Do they trigger other people?

Host

Because I had somebody say the other day, a guy actually say that you.

Host

You come.

Host

You know, they didn't know how to talk to you.

Danny

That's the thing, isn't it?

Danny

I went to that.

Danny

I know where that was from.

Danny

That was from an event I went to.

Danny

I think it might have been an event I went to and somebody came up to me afterwards.

Host

Yes.

Danny

And said, I saw you come across the room.

Danny

You weren't dressed very corporate.

Danny

In fact, I was just in black trousers and actually a polo neck with short sleeves.

Danny

So I was dressed corporate but with sparkles.

Danny

But I don't really have a dress sense, so I dress as I wish, wherever I go.

Danny

Go in with the flow.

Danny

And he said, you just didn't look like anybody else and that's a good thing.

Danny

He said, actually, you inspired me.

Danny

Yeah.

Danny

Because I've got.

Danny

Look at my.

Danny

And then he pointed at his shoes.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

And that.

Danny

He stopped me when I went a bit different.

Danny

I went with a cowboy shirt and some.

Danny

And some funky brown shoes and I was like, excellent.

Danny

He was like, I was so happy to see that.

Danny

But I think it also does put people off speaking because, you know, society is still not caught up with being free to express and being a creative.

Danny

Creative minds, I think still are very misunderstood.

Danny

So, yeah, it's quite brave to get some of the tattoos I have.

Host

Have you ever had a role model?

Danny

Absolutely.

Danny

I have had role models in my family.

Danny

We are a circle of very strong women and the few men that are left in our family, including my dear uncle who stepped in as a father role, and my beautiful brother who is a year younger, one of the most amazing souls on Earth.

Danny

We've come through a lot together.

Danny

To my mum, my grandmother, my aunties who brought me up and I also was partaking in bringing them up as well.

Danny

Absolute role model.

Host

You must have had to really pull together and become so close.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

From going through what you went through.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

And first of all, I want to say I love, I love the fact that you choose how you're going to be and you choose not to succumb consciously.

Danny

Yes.

Host

Because you can.

Host

Often you can choose am I going to be.

Host

So when we're talking about depression and am I going to choose to let it kind of overcome me or am I going to take actionable steps to get through that?

Host

And that's clearly what you've done.

Host

But I'm really interested to hear about your family because you must have a close knit group and you've been through so, so much.

Host

Are they with you around now or are you all living in different places?

Danny

So some of my family are in the uk, so my nearest and dearest are in the uk.

Danny

Unfortunately, we lost my Nana in October.

Danny

She was the matriarch of the family in the general, but we, I think she went at a time where she was comfortable and confident that she'd left us with enough of her gifts and powers, knowledge and wisdom that we could then take, take on the rest of the family roles.

Danny

And I'm inspired by the strength of what I've seen women do, from putting down floors to, you know, painting the home, to bringing up children, to, to standing up for us, to not knowing the language and still going out to work and surviving in a country where they had no idea, no clue of what was going to happen to them.

Danny

And, you know, the language skill barrier has been an issue for a certain generation in my family, but they've still survived and come out of their shell to be able to operate as different creatures in a completely different environment.

Danny

And I am very, very lucky that my family is close knit and I believe that we became closer through survival.

Danny

I truly believe we wouldn't have survived if we hadn't have been so close.

Danny

By that, I mean, we may have stayed alive but every single person within my family has grown, and especially my generation and the youngsters have all been very successful or are living beautiful lives, you know, and from hard work and determination and that kind of sheer.

Danny

I can do this, you know, the past can't, you know, can't touch us.

Danny

So coming together like that brings unity.

Danny

It brings strength and power, conformity in within the family sector and also it keeps traditions alive.

Danny

And I'm not joking you, since I turned to natural health options, so much of that wisdom has come from my family and how they brought me up to turn to nature before I turn to chemicals.

Danny

And also when I lived in China, I also had an amazing Chinese family kind of orientation unit who taught me so much.

Danny

Other people have taught me in life and inspire me a lot.

Danny

Obviously, my business partner, Liam, we grow together a lot.

Danny

Amazing women like yourself and in Tunbridge Wells, we have an amazing network of very strong women.

Danny

A lot of them are mums, some of them aren't that I can see just rising and rising and rising.

Danny

And I like to come together with those women rather than apart and see what we can do together as a woman's council.

Danny

And I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about women's councils.

Danny

I was very lucky to have that growing up.

Danny

My family now live in Essex and around the world.

Danny

I live in Tunbridge Wells, about an hour, hour and a half away.

Danny

We see each other as much as possible, but I know I've got my council to turn to at any one point and they know they've got me.

Danny

And I feel in business, as women, as mums, as bearers of wisdom, to pass on to newbies, not only in business but in life, men and women, we need to practice what we preach and we need to come together and build our outside world from within.

Danny

And we need to really, really think about what drives us internally, not just externally, and what, you know, what images and how we can bring out our deepest, darkest desires and thoughts, as well as our kind of happy things, happy moments, our initiations and our manifestations and how we can help each other do that.

Danny

Sometimes it's just a text message to see if someone's all right.

Danny

Sometimes it's being a little bit more flexible with time.

Danny

Sometimes it's saying, do you want to have something to eat?

Danny

Or should we have a drink together?

Danny

Or.

Danny

And then sometimes it's like, let's go meditate in the woods.

Danny

Let's go and hug a tree.

Danny

Do you know what I mean?

Danny

So having that, that circle of Freedom with other, other women really helps me.

Danny

So yeah, building that close knit community.

Danny

And I hope Quantum, the word as well stands for everyone's rise in like a big local family.

Danny

I think that's the way that we can.

Danny

It's like a tribe.

Host

Do you want to just explain why you chose the name Quantum?

Danny

Yeah.

Danny

So I had quantum healing back in the day.

Danny

And the word quantum for me is almost.

Danny

Is very powerful with how I see my vision board.

Danny

I see it as a series of leaps, I see it as a series of timelines.

Danny

And quantum is the marriage of psychology and science and spirituality.

Danny

And those three things to me are how I like to kind of build life.

Danny

Life upon.

Danny

And I balance.

Danny

We referred to you referred to balance earlier.

Danny

I think that if you can balance spirituality with psychology, with the science of how our bodies work, you know, what foods are good to put through your body, what fuel you need, mindset on a psychological perspective, then things like meditation on a spiritual perspective, understanding herbs and the powers of.

Danny

I think that balance and that combo, that quantum field is what will raise your vibrations to become the next level of yourself.

Danny

Now everyone can't expect that the next level of them will be their best version.

Danny

It could be a really dark version, but there may be a very suppressed part of ourselves, you know, like intrusive thoughts.

Danny

And I made a joke about this the other day.

Danny

It's not a joke.

Danny

These days.

Danny

Sometimes when I have an intrusive thought, I live it out and it's like something, it could be something really sneaky.

Danny

I don't know.

Danny

Like I was eating.

Danny

This is really bad, but I was eating some prawns not long ago.

Danny

And the intrusive thought to actually, when I pulled the sounds to pull the prawn head off and the little brains were inside was to like poke it.

Danny

And that's what got done with me and other people on the table actually.

Danny

Because when one person starts, the others join in and just, just odd things that you might want to speak to someone about.

Danny

Like, we've had some amazing conversations that you wouldn't just randomly turn around and go, hey, can I speak to you about this?

Danny

And it's like actually someone else feels these things within.

Danny

They feel that fire.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

They feel that like surge.

Danny

They feel that like, oh, I don't want to do this today.

Danny

But actually, you know, let's do it this way.

Danny

Dress sense.

Danny

Like, why does it all have to correlate?

Danny

I love a mishmash of colors.

Danny

And you know, if you look around here as well, a lot of the colors that I wear or that mean something to me come together and then flashing things.

Host

I do love that because it brings character and.

Danny

Yeah.

Host

You know, you've got so many different elements here.

Host

And what I really love is you've created a space for different people and communities to come in.

Host

I ran a yoga retreat here, plan to run another one, run a business networking event here.

Host

And it's been crazy season.

Host

Right.

Host

You know, lately.

Host

So you're just kind of holding.

Host

There's an element of holding space.

Danny

Yes.

Host

And after Covid, when that was taken away from everybody, you've now kind of brought this space for everybody to use.

Host

And I just love that it's got your personalities within it, it's got antiques within it, all these beautiful different materials that mean so much from, you know, local.

Host

Local suppliers, local companies.

Host

So, yeah, I think it's very, very special what you've created.

Danny

Yeah.

Danny

And I think it's got as much of Liam in it as it has me.

Danny

I think you've hit the nail on the head.

Danny

Holding space is something that is important in all aspects of life, with friends, with children, and with partners for the community.

Danny

And what you will notice with this space is that the kind of we've got a beautiful coffee lounge to the front, but the hidden gem hasn't been put to the front to be on show.

Danny

The hidden gem, which is this space here, has been put to the back.

Danny

And the reason for that is it's okay to come in, not feeling your best self and hide out for a bit if you want to.

Danny

You know, you don't have to be on show just to be somewhere nice.

Danny

And I feel like we do hold that space and we hold, you know, kind of a lot of discretionary space for people like yoga retreats, you know, like sound healing, like people just wanting to talk about their business privately and ask Liam and myself maybe for advice on strategy and growth.

Danny

People do approach us in here just to ask about other things we do in our life as well.

Danny

And holding space requires you to step out of yourself and create that gap for other people and for other bodies and souls.

Danny

That's not that easy to do as a human because our mind's always super, you know, complexed out with so many thoughts, so much busyness, so much pressure of conforming and being, you know, day to day life and school runs and doing the shopping and making the dinner.

Host

And running multiple businesses and then turning.

Danny

Up on time to run the businesses.

Danny

Right.

Danny

So I do like to hear every part of what a person has to Say, and having a space to do so where they can also feel safe is magic.

Danny

It really is.

Danny

And I feel like the community here needed that.

Host

Yeah.

Danny

And for me, magic is real.

Danny

So, yeah, I want to share it.

Host

I love that.

Host

I love that.

Host

And you bring your personality and sparkle wherever you go.

Host

Just briefly, I'd like to go into another element.

Host

I've heard that you do that, which is mentoring and you help businesses, I believe, go global.

Host

Is that correct?

Host

Is that a huge job?

Host

Is that really difficult and complex?

Danny

So imagine there's two elements to it.

Danny

It could be that a company has their identity, it's got their logo, it has, you know, a product created or a service that they want to deliver.

Danny

It's already started out, it has some connections and contacts, but it doesn't have a very focused, holistic business strategy.

Danny

And it's very hard as an entrepreneur to see 6, 12, 18 months.

Danny

I like to work on a three to five year strategy.

Danny

People are often under pressure to pay bills, pay invoices, and therefore they see it months to months and day to day.

Danny

I kind of like to go, hang on a minute, you're going through that pain now.

Danny

What's it for?

Danny

This is where it needs to go.

Danny

Have a look at a very kind of all rounded breakdown of the business, of the brand, of the colors they've used.

Danny

So many people don't think about how much color can or can help a brand or can stop a brand developing enough around different parts of the world.

Danny

So, so that's, I could come in like that and that would be my firefighting stage.

Danny

So, you know, they've started a business, they need to strategize.

Danny

There's some issues going on.

Danny

Firefight solution based.

Danny

This is how you can improve your strategy.

Danny

And the other way that I can help is people say, I've got an idea, I need to bring it to birth.

Danny

It's going to cost me loads of money to do.

Danny

And then I'll go, hang on a minute.

Danny

Have you thought about this, this, this, this, this?

Danny

Have you thought about maybe, for example, digitalizing something over printing?

Danny

Have you thought about you being the face of your brand?

Danny

Do you know how many people don't see how genuinely beautifully powerful magic they are?

Danny

They never see themselves as the identity to their own brand.

Danny

And then for me, I'll speak to them and I'll be like, whoa.

Danny

Everything that just came out of your mouth is why you should be either in front of a camera on social media, you know, writing, doing podcasts like this, because you are that brand, people buy into that person, into that human, and your soul needs to shine.

Danny

So maybe it's just configuring brand identity.

Danny

I've named quite a lot of companies, so quirky words.

Danny

And I'm a linguist.

Host

How many different languages do you speak?

Host

Come on in.

Danny

So I speak Bosnian fluently, but being able to speak Bosnian or former Yugoslavian means you can speak.

Host

That's your mother tongue.

Danny

That's my mother tongue means that you can speak Croatian.

Danny

You can go to Slovenia and speak part Slovenian.

Danny

You can go to other parts of former Yugoslavia and communicate.

Danny

I've been in and out Turkey quite a lot, so I'm not fluent, but I know enough to survive.

Danny

We lived in China for a bit.

Danny

Again, not a lot, but man is quite tricky.

Danny

Yep.

Danny

And obviously English.

Danny

I studied German for quite a few years, so I can communicate in German.

Danny

Yeah, I can.

Danny

I can step in and out.

Host

So of course you're a speaker.

Host

Of course you're a speaker, a communicator.

Host

There's so many strings to your bow.

Host

I mean, you're not even middle aged, you know, and you've done so much.

Host

So here's the future, like, what's to come.

Host

Wow.

Host

Thank you.

Host

Amazing.

Host

So I'll wrap this up because you and I have got a lunch to.

Host

To go to now, but I.

Host

I could sit and talk for hours to you, but can we wrap this up with you just giving a few because this podcast is aimed at entrepreneurs and business owners.

Host

You are clearly, you've got a lot of experience behind you.

Host

You do an awful lot.

Host

What are your top tips for entrepreneurs and managing time?

Danny

I think that don't be too harsh on yourself.

Danny

Go with the flow more and be ready that rather than making a list of 30 things to do today, make a list of five that would change your tomorrow.

Danny

I like to have something called the Later Base.

Danny

I would suggest that every entrepreneur has the to do list for now and then the Later Base to do list.

Danny

And that will help you create, like a holistic vision as well.

Danny

I would say take care of your mind, body and soul.

Danny

Cleanse your body with as many herbals as you possibly can in terms of potions like nettles, teas, sage, rosemary, thyme.

Danny

I've been drinking recently.

Danny

A lot of lion's mane is fantastic.

Danny

Of course I'm going to say cbd, but CBD is great for concentration and it's about creating small chunks that are manageable for yourself daily, which will make you completely and utterly present and work smarter, not harder, which means Networking matters.

Danny

I use the hashtag a lot.

Danny

Build your network so that your network can help you work and so that you have to do less work, because the more that you build your network and learn about your circles and what their strengths are, it means you don't have to do it all.

Danny

And, you know, community is power, authenticity is power.

Danny

Be more authentic every single day and drop the fear, bring up the love.

Danny

You know, love over fear.

Danny

Love wins.

Danny

We need to look at that more.

Danny

But a recent study, and I'll finish this off right now with I recently read a study, I watched a video actually, and then read about it, where 25,000 people were put in the same room and the technologies measured their frequencies.

Liam

Of what?

Danny

They measured different frequencies and they worked on sadness, anger, happiness.

Danny

What made people's heartbeat fluctuate within that scenario.

Danny

And you would think that love, which was a huge part of it, was second on the list of what makes people the happiest.

Danny

The thing that made people the happiest in 25,000 people studied was authenticity.

Danny

So here's to being authentic, going with the flow, cleansing your body and giving your body, you know, as much superfoods as possible.

Danny

And I love that.

Danny

Chunking, chunking, chunking.

Host

What's chunking?

Danny

Small chunks that you can deal with.

Host

On a manageable bit.

Danny

Yes, manageable bits of your day.

Danny

Language learning.

Danny

It's actually called chunking.

Danny

You learn it in chunks rather than, oh, my God, I have to learn.

Host

English and get totally overwhelmed.

Host

I think that is a really common trait in entrepreneurs is overwhelm.

Host

And it's quite normal to get overwhelmed when you're managing different projects.

Host

But yeah, if you think putting it into chunks or just stepping away from it totally for a moment, so.

Danny

And most things fix themselves if you step away for a bit.

Danny

That's what I find.

Host

I love that.

Host

Well, give us a hug.

Danny

Great to have you on.

Danny

Thank you so much.

Host

And quite nice to do a podcast like this, but it's not in the studio.

Host

I think I'm going to be in a lot of trouble for not having the sound right.

Danny

But, hey, hug, Ask for forgiveness later.

Host

Yes.

Host

Danny, you've been amazing.

Danny

Thank you so much for the opportunity.

Danny

Love you.

Host

And you.

Host

Special.
