I think we need to get to grips with the fact that every time that you feel pain, you should use it as power to grow.
DannyA phoenix has to go through the fire to rise out of the ashes and become that beautiful, vibrant, colorful, fiery bird.
HostSo welcome back to the Networking Spark podcast.
HostI've got a super special guest here with me today.
HostNow, this is the first podcast I've recorded away from any of the studios I usually use.
HostSo apologies, this is a learning exercise, but I would love to introduce somebody that is an entrepreneur, a strategist, the.
LiamCo owner of where we are right.
HostNow, Club Quantum in Tunbridge Wells.
HostShe's a multiple business owner, a tech educational, platform building company, teacher, trainer, linguist, a speaker, a course writer, management and strategy consultant, and a Bosnian war refugee.
HostWelcome, Danny.
HostThat was a lot.
DannyThat was amazing.
DannyThank you so much.
DannyAnd I'd like to say a huge well done to Jess for setting up this whole podcast and her equipment here at the club.
DannyI think that's really brave.
DannyVenturing out onwards allotments for 2025.
DannyThank you for the lovely introduction.
DannyMeans a lot.
HostWell, thank you so much for being here.
HostI, I'd love to just start, Danny, by asking you, who is Danny?
HostAnd I just, you're, you know, what does it feel like being you because you've been through so much.
HostSo who is Dani?
HostJust introduce yourself a little bit more to the audience.
DannyOkay, so my name is, my full name is Daniela.
DannyI am 37 years old.
DannyI am an entrepreneur.
DannyI come from the corporate space so I've been running my own businesses since I was about 21, 22.
DannyAnd in that time I've also worked through corporate companies.
DannyThat's my kind of work life.
DannyPersonally, I'm a mum of a 12 year old.
DannyI recently moved slightly out of Tunbridge Wells to the countryside so I could grow my own fruit and vegetables.
DannyI love the moon, I love the sun.
DannyI love creating potions, understanding and taking herbal potions and I would say homemade remedies for things like the common cold.
DannyDone a lot of research into how people can live organically.
DannyI love yoga, I love running.
DannyI compete in challenges like the tough mudder.
DannyAnd then I love bringing other people up really.
DannySo I like to allow other people the space to be able to become their best versions of themselves.
DannyAnd now that could be through coaching them, it could be through assisting them with their business and growth strategies.
DannyIt could be just being an ear that listens to them.
DannyIt could be a hug.
DannyI'm a hugger.
DannyI love hugging.
DannyOr Providing a space like Club Quantum, where like minds come together on good days and bad days and we can all just talk about it.
HostI think we can safely say there are many, many, many, many, many layers to you, and you're incredibly intriguing and interesting to talk to.
HostSo on this podcast, I like to interview inspiring entrepreneurs, but also story to tell.
HostSo I'm so pleased to have you here and in Club Quantum as well.
HostI'm about to go to Dubai and one of the shakes that kind of created Dubai, which is kind of a totally new concept really in many ways.
HostBut he said that there are, you know, people that come from an easy life tend to be quite often quite weak.
HostThese are his words.
HostSo weak people are produced from an easy life, whereas hugely successful and strong people come from difficulty and from a tough life.
HostWhat are your thoughts on that?
DannySo I am in some form of agreement.
DannyI have seen people who have been through the worst times and seen the worst things imaginable, like other fellow Bosnian refugees that came to England in the early 90s, have been, you know, there are friends of mine and other families like mine who have lost relatives, lost their homes, moved country, came here not speaking English, and they've been extremely successful.
DannyI think that our strength is made in hardship.
DannyI feel like pain is often underestimated in terms of it should always be a negative emotion and feeling.
DannyAnd I think we need to get to grips with the fact that every time that you feel pain, you should use it as power to grow.
DannyI feel that going through tough times in your life gives you a very resilient aspect to soul and character.
DannyIt makes you turn inwards to find the inner strength to be able to survive certain situations.
DannyI think that trauma impacts the body and the mind in different ways, which then leads us to meditate, to, you know, do yoga, to see healers, to talk about it, which in turn then does heal us.
DannyI feel that a phoenix has to go through the fire to rise out of the ashes and become that beautiful, vibrant, colorful, fiery bird.
HostThis is what I see in you, Danny.
HostAnd I think you're in a great position to be able to advise other people because you've been through so much and come out the other side.
HostAnd not only that, you've taken responsibility for your own healing.
HostAnd most people have got no idea what you've been through and what it takes to get to where you are today.
HostSo how has that journey been?
DannyIt's been.
DannyI've got lots of tattoos, and the tattoos on my body are the story of my Life.
DannyEach tattoo is created through a little bit of pain, and each tattoo is very meaningful.
DannyAnd so I feel like my life so far has been a book still to be written.
DannyAnd each chapter, no matter what good things have happened, have alongside them always had the hardships.
DannySo I'm someone who goes with the flow, like yourself.
DannyWe've had some conversations about this and Jess does these amazing podcasts where she doesn't script them, and she literally goes with the flow.
DannyAnd I really, really appreciate that.
DannyThat's how, you know, my life has been.
DannyAnd I've learned to go with the flow within kind of an everyday setting.
DannyAnd I feel that journeying through life, not expecting anything, whether that be from another person or from society or from, you know, the universe, giving and then being open to receiving is the way.
DannyI'm very traditional in terms of.
DannyMost people don't know this about me, actually, because they all think that I work in the tech world or I've got certain views and opinions, but actually I'm a very, very traditional lady who likes to still hold grips on home life, cooking, cleaning, being the kind of feminine support within my family, within my workspace, working alongside some amazing men as well, who have made me tough, have brought out my masculine side so I can sit side by side with.
DannyWith manpower, but I can do it in my feminine kind of way.
DannySo, yeah, I think that I found my way through by being open to come what may not.
DannyScripting my everyday.
DannySometimes I'm late for things and that's okay, I'll be there.
DannyI had this.
DannyI have this badge and it says, sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come and I just think we need to laugh a lot in life.
DannyI think we need to giggle.
DannyI think that we've run some recent events here at Club Quantum, and what's got us through is the giggles.
DannyEven when it's been, you know, exhausting and stressful and making sure that every single detail is correct.
DannyAnd the other piece of advice I'd give to everybody is don't be too harsh on yourself.
DannyNobody's perfect.
DannyAnd I think nowadays we're seeing that more than ever.
DannyAnd guess what?
DannyIt's okay not to be perfect.
DannySo, you know, run with the flow.
DannyI think positive affirmations, setting mind shift goals, setting intentions and trying to run, trying to run your life daily with love and giving will make sure that you, you know, will be reciprocated by the universe.
DannyAnd I mentioned the universe a lot because I did a recent post and it was about taking the risk to believe in the universe.
DannyAnd guess what?
DannyIt's worked and it's working.
DannyAnd very rarely do I not achieve, not get or not come up with what I see as a vision or what I ask for in a meditation, or what I manifest.
DannyAnd I think that is due to trusting the process.
DannyIt's due to inner work that I've done to have a, like a boss babe mindset.
DannyIt's a slight rhino skin that I've grown from pain and from my past and watching people around me suffering.
DannyAnd a rhino skin is that tough layer of our outside where, yeah, it might be literally hailing, raining, pouring.
DannyYou walk into work drenched, you know, what do you do about it?
DannyYou stick your hair back and you get on with the day, you know, 100% baby wipe, wipe the makeup off, get what you can, done what you can't.
DannyCan wait until tomorrow.
DannyAnd actually, how much pressure do we put on ourselves to tick off a checklist on a daily basis?
HostToo much in this country for sure.
DannySomething like 70, 80% of that checklist probably could wait until tomorrow or the next day.
HostDelegate.
DannyYeah.
HostAnd prioritize.
HostIs it interesting you mention vision boards?
HostBecause I ran a vision board workshop last night, and I think it's such a powerful thing to do.
HostAnd looking back over vision boards created them and they've been big dreams, but just having them in front of you or somewhere where you can see them every single day just allows you to be able to meditate on them, to take the action steps to get there.
HostRight.
HostAnd to attract them into your life and to have good energy about that too.
HostSo I'm really curious, what's on your vision board for 2025-2026?
DannyOh, that's a good question.
DannySo on the vision board is to continue on a personal level and personal development to delve into my deeper, darker feminine state according to traditions that I feel feminine powers and women came from.
DannySo it's really strange going backwards.
DannyRight.
DannySo I would like to delve further into exploring how far intuitive powers can take me.
DannyI would like to explore the depths of how far my mind can go, because I believe that the mind's the most powerful weapon on earth.
DannyI would like to explore deeper in pulling out, you know, further demons and triggers and darkness that I have within myself and working with those to create.
DannySo next year is going to see a load of creativity coming.
DannyI've been really lucky to be able to put so much of my creative mind into this space here that we're in Today, from colors to random bits and pieces that Liam and I have chosen.
DannyLiam's my business partner in Club Quantum, by the way.
HostAnd you're very different.
HostRight.
DannyWe're the yin and the yang.
DannyHe's a very special person in my life because he was the other part of what made this club possible.
DannyLiam is.
DannyWe are the complete opposites, which is.
HostWhat you want with a business partnership.
DannyAbsolutely.
DannyBut yet when we have to stand together and stand strong and get things done, we do so, you know, the creative aspect of my character and my soul that I feel burning inside me every single day, I want to bring more of that out and I want to make sure that the.
DannyAnd Liam as well, we want to make sure that Club Quantum becomes its best version of itself.
DannyYou know, a brand is only as good as the kind of message and the ethos that it lets out.
DannyAnd also I think the characters behind the brand are what grows the brand, not just the marketing itself.
DannySo we want our identity at Club Quantum to come through for 2025.
DannyWe are very lucky to be working with Tunbridge Wells magazine and groups like the Tunbridge Wells Media Group, people like yourselves, people like the TN Card on projects for events coming up.
DannySo we want to bring the community together more for event and like minded people who can rise together.
DannyI would also like to assist my daughter through secondary school and she's becoming a very sassy, savvy, capable young lady.
DannyAnd recently she's been flourishing in her exams and she has been, she's just scored 100% in one of her English language assessments and when she was younger she published poetry.
DannySo I'd like to encourage her to work on her writings more.
DannyAnd she's taking ballet up, she's taken horse riding up.
DannySo I want to be the encouraging mum that she leads through her journey and I can lead her alongside mine.
HostShe's got an incredible role model to.
DannyBe fair, as have your children as well.
DannySo I think that, you know, between us, I think we're, we're, we're doing the mummy thing, all right.
DannyAnd then global business.
DannyI'm expanding my CBD company.
DannySo Trippy Panther, which is my CBD company, we have our own farm growing CBD traceable to the seed in Poland.
DannyWe then distribute that globally.
DannyAnd in the uk, I would like to develop hemp Crete, which is concrete, to build buildings with, which is very sustainable and future proof hemps, the fastest growing growing plant on earth.
DannySo there's no reason we shouldn't be using it more.
DannyAnd I'd like to develop the.
DannyI'm a speaker.
DannyI'd like to do some more keynote speaking.
DannyI would like to help other people grow and strategize their businesses and shed the fear behind taking a risk, behind being their authentic self.
DannyAnd then I would like to authentically shine some more because I'm still discovering who I am and as I do, and bringing it to the surface.
DannyAnd I think it takes, excuse the pun, a lot of balls to be a woman sometimes.
DannyAnd I think that, you know, 2025, we'll see the rise of a lot of people, men and women, bringing out their authentic selves.
HostYeah.
DannyYeah.
HostI mean, 2020 to 2023 has been hard.
DannyYeah.
HostFor many, many people.
HostAnd I feel like 2024 has been a year of building and growing.
HostAnd I just have this feeling that 2025 is just going to bring so much.
HostI feel like we've been building up, building up.
HostAnd, you know, I don't want to tempt fate, but I do have a really good feeling about 2025.
DannyAnd is that intuitive?
HostYes.
DannyYes.
DannyYeah, absolutely.
HostThey also a case of balance, when things have been, like, not great for a lot of people for.
HostFor quite a long time and people have been struggling.
HostI do find sometimes, you know, things might balance themselves out.
HostBut, yeah, it is an intuitive feeling.
DannyAnd do you find?
DannyWhat I found is more than ever, I've been shedding.
DannyAnd, you know, I'm obsessed with snakes.
HostI love them.
DannyI'm really trying to get one for Christmas if my business partner allows.
HostSo on your father Christmas list, a snake, a new phone.
DannyBecause I take way too many photos to have such an old phone.
DannyAnd that for someone who works in tech, my phone's terrible.
DannyAnd also a snake, a pet snake is definitely on my list.
DannyBut I am way probably too much in love with the serpent.
DannyAnd the idea that, you know, shedding our skin is what we need to do to survive.
DannyAnd.
DannyAnd I feel that, especially the last three months, shedding as a collective.
DannyI've seen it.
DannyFriends, business partners, family, shedding the things that no longer serve them.
DannyAnd I think if we can get that done December and start January with the strengths, knowing that nothing that serves us should be in our life any longer.
DannyAnd that's tough, isn't it?
DannyBecause how many people want to admit that some of the things in their life are actually not serving them and they need to let them go.
DannyIt may be friendships that no longer serve you.
DannyIt may be, you know, maybe family members that don't make you feel good.
DannyAbout yourself.
DannyYou know, it may be the work that you're in or the job that you're in.
DannyIt may be a hobby that you have, or it just may be habits.
DannyYeah, habits or triggers that we want to shed that are, you know, toxic to our.
DannyOur being.
DannyIt may be, you know, a food item that you eat that, you know, we want to.
DannyYeah.
HostI mean, I'm a big believer of making space for new things to come.
HostIt's like when, if you like in your house, if you have a total sort out, rather than being a hoarder.
DannyYeah.
HostYou're creating space for new life, for new things to come.
HostAnd you can do that with every aspect of your life.
HostI think it's quite a nice time of year to be thinking about that as you come towards the end of the year and you pause.
HostPerhaps not in this industry that you're in now, but when you do get some time, you know, what can I let go of?
HostAnd then what do I want to create?
HostAnd hence the vision board.
HostGoing back to your tattoos, Dan, if you don't mind.
HostI had my first ever tattoo and it's interesting what you said about it's a little bit of pain and it represents something that you've been through.
HostSo mine's very meaningful and I just felt the need to do it.
HostIt's to represent somebody very close to me that I lost.
HostAnd so.
HostYeah, so.
HostSorry.
HostSo, yeah.
HostSo it's a letter with a lotus flower, and lotus flowers grow growth from the mud.
HostSo beauty can come through going through something tough and then a dove above it.
HostSo that was symbolic.
HostHow many tattoos have you got?
DannyI stopped counting when I had 16.
HostWow.
DannySo I think now I've probably got probably about 27, 28 ish tattoos if you count the finger tattoos.
DannyProbably quite a few more than that as well.
HostAnd each one has a story and a meaning.
HostIs there one that's the most, most meaningful to you?
DannySo meaning wise, my first ever tattoo was three names that I had done here.
DannyThis is my longest standing tattoo and I'm.
DannyIt's quite still very dark, which I'm quite surprised about.
DannyBut the secrets.
DannyCocoa butter or cocoa oil.
DannyGreat for the darkness of tattoos to stay.
DannyAnd that is my father's name.
DannyAnd my father was killed in the war in former Slavia.
DannyIt's my granddad's name.
DannyAnd my granddad was killed in the war too.
DannyAnd it's my oldest stepbrother's name who died in a car crash not long after the war actually.
DannySo I Felt those three names and then were very symbolic at that time.
DannyAnd from that I've then gone on to have.
HostAnd is that a way of keeping them with you, carrying them with you?
DannyYeah, they're always there.
DannyThey've not faded from my life, you know, their memories.
DannyAnd I feel like when I go, then all of the stuff on my body will go with me.
DannyWith my body anyway, my soul will go somewhere else, but.
DannyAnd then I've got Medusa.
DannyShe was the lady that built a very, very hard skin and head full of snakes.
DannyI've got big cats because of the significance of their power and their transformation.
DannyOn my hands, I've got pirates because I like shiny things.
DannyI've got languages like Chinese and Arabic because I've spent a lot of time in Asia and the Middle east for work and for life.
DannyAnd my family are Bosnian, but our origins are Ottoman.
Danny1300s, the Ottomans occupied Bosnia.
DannySo you'll see a lot of the third eye.
HostYeah.
DannyAnd the kind of like Turkish symbolism on my body as well, because I feel like a lot of my roots are very, very Turkish slash Arabic.
DannyLike the cooking that I was taught by my grandmother and my mother and the women in my family.
DannyLike a lot of the words in our language that we use, a lot of the music that we listen to, the smells, you know, the ouds, the jasmine, the scents, and lots of our traditions.
DannyI love Istanbul as well.
DannySo there is a lot of significance to traveling Istanbul.
DannyI've also got recently and I went to Steve's crew at Black and even in town, actual snake scales put into my body now as tattoos.
DannySo some of my skin is snakeskin.
HostReally?
DannyYeah.
HostWow.
HostAnd then it's so symbolic for you, the snake.
DannyYeah.
DannyThe gypsy ladies are a beautiful symbol of the crystal ball looking into the future.
DannyAnd I'm someone that likes to live in the present.
DannyHowever, I like to manifest my future.
DannySo there's a spiritual element to that.
DannyRather than think about it in.
DannyIn a way that's going to create anxiety.
DannyI'm not interested in, you know, being anxious.
DannyI'm not.
DannyIt sounds about.
DannyI'm interested in being depressed.
DannySo if I say to myself, I will not allow depression or anxiety to take hold of me, what am I going to do about it?
DannyOr I could just surrender and go, okay, I'll live in the past.
DannyI'll sit here depressed.
DannyOr I'll think too far into the future.
DannyI'll sit here anxious.
DannyThat's a conscious decision to make.
HostYeah.
DannyAnd, you know, then you're also opening Yourself up to, you know, being led by the likes of Big Pharma and being given medicines for certain things or, you know, and opening myself up to almost be shot at like that.
DannyIt's not something I like to do.
HostNo.
DannySo I like to find ways to turn inwards, to heal, to cure, to work on triggers.
DannyAnd everyone has triggers.
DannyWe should all work on triggers.
HostProbably.
DannySome of my tattoos are actually trigger.
DannyLike lots of snakes everywhere.
HostDo they trigger other people?
HostBecause I had somebody say the other day, a guy actually say that you.
HostYou come.
HostYou know, they didn't know how to talk to you.
DannyThat's the thing, isn't it?
DannyI went to that.
DannyI know where that was from.
DannyThat was from an event I went to.
DannyI think it might have been an event I went to and somebody came up to me afterwards.
HostYes.
DannyAnd said, I saw you come across the room.
DannyYou weren't dressed very corporate.
DannyIn fact, I was just in black trousers and actually a polo neck with short sleeves.
DannySo I was dressed corporate but with sparkles.
DannyBut I don't really have a dress sense, so I dress as I wish, wherever I go.
DannyGo in with the flow.
DannyAnd he said, you just didn't look like anybody else and that's a good thing.
DannyHe said, actually, you inspired me.
DannyYeah.
DannyBecause I've got.
DannyLook at my.
DannyAnd then he pointed at his shoes.
HostYeah.
DannyAnd that.
DannyHe stopped me when I went a bit different.
DannyI went with a cowboy shirt and some.
DannyAnd some funky brown shoes and I was like, excellent.
DannyHe was like, I was so happy to see that.
DannyBut I think it also does put people off speaking because, you know, society is still not caught up with being free to express and being a creative.
DannyCreative minds, I think still are very misunderstood.
DannySo, yeah, it's quite brave to get some of the tattoos I have.

HostHave you ever had a role model?
DannyAbsolutely.
DannyI have had role models in my family.
DannyWe are a circle of very strong women and the few men that are left in our family, including my dear uncle who stepped in as a father role, and my beautiful brother who is a year younger, one of the most amazing souls on Earth.
DannyWe've come through a lot together.
DannyTo my mum, my grandmother, my aunties who brought me up and I also was partaking in bringing them up as well.
DannyAbsolute role model.
HostYou must have had to really pull together and become so close.
DannyYeah.
HostFrom going through what you went through.
DannyYeah.
HostAnd first of all, I want to say I love, I love the fact that you choose how you're going to be and you choose not to succumb consciously.
DannyYes.
HostBecause you can.
HostOften you can choose am I going to be.
HostSo when we're talking about depression and am I going to choose to let it kind of overcome me or am I going to take actionable steps to get through that?
HostAnd that's clearly what you've done.
HostBut I'm really interested to hear about your family because you must have a close knit group and you've been through so, so much.
HostAre they with you around now or are you all living in different places?
DannySo some of my family are in the uk, so my nearest and dearest are in the uk.
DannyUnfortunately, we lost my Nana in October.
DannyShe was the matriarch of the family in the general, but we, I think she went at a time where she was comfortable and confident that she'd left us with enough of her gifts and powers, knowledge and wisdom that we could then take, take on the rest of the family roles.
DannyAnd I'm inspired by the strength of what I've seen women do, from putting down floors to, you know, painting the home, to bringing up children, to, to standing up for us, to not knowing the language and still going out to work and surviving in a country where they had no idea, no clue of what was going to happen to them.
DannyAnd, you know, the language skill barrier has been an issue for a certain generation in my family, but they've still survived and come out of their shell to be able to operate as different creatures in a completely different environment.
DannyAnd I am very, very lucky that my family is close knit and I believe that we became closer through survival.
DannyI truly believe we wouldn't have survived if we hadn't have been so close.
DannyBy that, I mean, we may have stayed alive but every single person within my family has grown, and especially my generation and the youngsters have all been very successful or are living beautiful lives, you know, and from hard work and determination and that kind of sheer.
DannyI can do this, you know, the past can't, you know, can't touch us.
DannySo coming together like that brings unity.
DannyIt brings strength and power, conformity in within the family sector and also it keeps traditions alive.
DannyAnd I'm not joking you, since I turned to natural health options, so much of that wisdom has come from my family and how they brought me up to turn to nature before I turn to chemicals.
DannyAnd also when I lived in China, I also had an amazing Chinese family kind of orientation unit who taught me so much.
DannyOther people have taught me in life and inspire me a lot.
DannyObviously, my business partner, Liam, we grow together a lot.
DannyAmazing women like yourself and in Tunbridge Wells, we have an amazing network of very strong women.
DannyA lot of them are mums, some of them aren't that I can see just rising and rising and rising.
DannyAnd I like to come together with those women rather than apart and see what we can do together as a woman's council.
DannyAnd I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about women's councils.
DannyI was very lucky to have that growing up.
DannyMy family now live in Essex and around the world.
DannyI live in Tunbridge Wells, about an hour, hour and a half away.
DannyWe see each other as much as possible, but I know I've got my council to turn to at any one point and they know they've got me.
DannyAnd I feel in business, as women, as mums, as bearers of wisdom, to pass on to newbies, not only in business but in life, men and women, we need to practice what we preach and we need to come together and build our outside world from within.
DannyAnd we need to really, really think about what drives us internally, not just externally, and what, you know, what images and how we can bring out our deepest, darkest desires and thoughts, as well as our kind of happy things, happy moments, our initiations and our manifestations and how we can help each other do that.
DannySometimes it's just a text message to see if someone's all right.
DannySometimes it's being a little bit more flexible with time.
DannySometimes it's saying, do you want to have something to eat?
DannyOr should we have a drink together?
DannyOr.
DannyAnd then sometimes it's like, let's go meditate in the woods.
DannyLet's go and hug a tree.
DannyDo you know what I mean?
DannySo having that, that circle of Freedom with other, other women really helps me.
DannySo yeah, building that close knit community.
DannyAnd I hope Quantum, the word as well stands for everyone's rise in like a big local family.
DannyI think that's the way that we can.
DannyIt's like a tribe.
HostDo you want to just explain why you chose the name Quantum?
DannyYeah.
DannySo I had quantum healing back in the day.
DannyAnd the word quantum for me is almost.
DannyIs very powerful with how I see my vision board.
DannyI see it as a series of leaps, I see it as a series of timelines.
DannyAnd quantum is the marriage of psychology and science and spirituality.
DannyAnd those three things to me are how I like to kind of build life.
DannyLife upon.
DannyAnd I balance.
DannyWe referred to you referred to balance earlier.
DannyI think that if you can balance spirituality with psychology, with the science of how our bodies work, you know, what foods are good to put through your body, what fuel you need, mindset on a psychological perspective, then things like meditation on a spiritual perspective, understanding herbs and the powers of.
DannyI think that balance and that combo, that quantum field is what will raise your vibrations to become the next level of yourself.
DannyNow everyone can't expect that the next level of them will be their best version.
DannyIt could be a really dark version, but there may be a very suppressed part of ourselves, you know, like intrusive thoughts.
DannyAnd I made a joke about this the other day.
DannyIt's not a joke.
DannyThese days.
DannySometimes when I have an intrusive thought, I live it out and it's like something, it could be something really sneaky.
DannyI don't know.
DannyLike I was eating.
DannyThis is really bad, but I was eating some prawns not long ago.
DannyAnd the intrusive thought to actually, when I pulled the sounds to pull the prawn head off and the little brains were inside was to like poke it.
DannyAnd that's what got done with me and other people on the table actually.
DannyBecause when one person starts, the others join in and just, just odd things that you might want to speak to someone about.
DannyLike, we've had some amazing conversations that you wouldn't just randomly turn around and go, hey, can I speak to you about this?
DannyAnd it's like actually someone else feels these things within.
DannyThey feel that fire.
HostYeah.
DannyThey feel that like surge.
DannyThey feel that like, oh, I don't want to do this today.
DannyBut actually, you know, let's do it this way.
DannyDress sense.
DannyLike, why does it all have to correlate?
DannyI love a mishmash of colors.
DannyAnd you know, if you look around here as well, a lot of the colors that I wear or that mean something to me come together and then flashing things.
HostI do love that because it brings character and.
DannyYeah.
HostYou know, you've got so many different elements here.
HostAnd what I really love is you've created a space for different people and communities to come in.
HostI ran a yoga retreat here, plan to run another one, run a business networking event here.
HostAnd it's been crazy season.
HostRight.
HostYou know, lately.
HostSo you're just kind of holding.
HostThere's an element of holding space.
DannyYes.
HostAnd after Covid, when that was taken away from everybody, you've now kind of brought this space for everybody to use.
HostAnd I just love that it's got your personalities within it, it's got antiques within it, all these beautiful different materials that mean so much from, you know, local.
HostLocal suppliers, local companies.
HostSo, yeah, I think it's very, very special what you've created.
DannyYeah.
DannyAnd I think it's got as much of Liam in it as it has me.
DannyI think you've hit the nail on the head.
DannyHolding space is something that is important in all aspects of life, with friends, with children, and with partners for the community.
DannyAnd what you will notice with this space is that the kind of we've got a beautiful coffee lounge to the front, but the hidden gem hasn't been put to the front to be on show.
DannyThe hidden gem, which is this space here, has been put to the back.
DannyAnd the reason for that is it's okay to come in, not feeling your best self and hide out for a bit if you want to.
DannyYou know, you don't have to be on show just to be somewhere nice.
DannyAnd I feel like we do hold that space and we hold, you know, kind of a lot of discretionary space for people like yoga retreats, you know, like sound healing, like people just wanting to talk about their business privately and ask Liam and myself maybe for advice on strategy and growth.
DannyPeople do approach us in here just to ask about other things we do in our life as well.
DannyAnd holding space requires you to step out of yourself and create that gap for other people and for other bodies and souls.
DannyThat's not that easy to do as a human because our mind's always super, you know, complexed out with so many thoughts, so much busyness, so much pressure of conforming and being, you know, day to day life and school runs and doing the shopping and making the dinner.
HostAnd running multiple businesses and then turning.
DannyUp on time to run the businesses.
DannyRight.
DannySo I do like to hear every part of what a person has to Say, and having a space to do so where they can also feel safe is magic.
DannyIt really is.
DannyAnd I feel like the community here needed that.
HostYeah.
DannyAnd for me, magic is real.
DannySo, yeah, I want to share it.
HostI love that.
HostI love that.
HostAnd you bring your personality and sparkle wherever you go.
HostJust briefly, I'd like to go into another element.
HostI've heard that you do that, which is mentoring and you help businesses, I believe, go global.
HostIs that correct?
HostIs that a huge job?
HostIs that really difficult and complex?
DannySo imagine there's two elements to it.
DannyIt could be that a company has their identity, it's got their logo, it has, you know, a product created or a service that they want to deliver.
DannyIt's already started out, it has some connections and contacts, but it doesn't have a very focused, holistic business strategy.
DannyAnd it's very hard as an entrepreneur to see 6, 12, 18 months.
DannyI like to work on a three to five year strategy.
DannyPeople are often under pressure to pay bills, pay invoices, and therefore they see it months to months and day to day.
DannyI kind of like to go, hang on a minute, you're going through that pain now.
DannyWhat's it for?
DannyThis is where it needs to go.
DannyHave a look at a very kind of all rounded breakdown of the business, of the brand, of the colors they've used.
DannySo many people don't think about how much color can or can help a brand or can stop a brand developing enough around different parts of the world.
DannySo, so that's, I could come in like that and that would be my firefighting stage.
DannySo, you know, they've started a business, they need to strategize.
DannyThere's some issues going on.
DannyFirefight solution based.
DannyThis is how you can improve your strategy.
DannyAnd the other way that I can help is people say, I've got an idea, I need to bring it to birth.
DannyIt's going to cost me loads of money to do.
DannyAnd then I'll go, hang on a minute.
DannyHave you thought about this, this, this, this, this?
DannyHave you thought about maybe, for example, digitalizing something over printing?
DannyHave you thought about you being the face of your brand?
DannyDo you know how many people don't see how genuinely beautifully powerful magic they are?
DannyThey never see themselves as the identity to their own brand.
DannyAnd then for me, I'll speak to them and I'll be like, whoa.
DannyEverything that just came out of your mouth is why you should be either in front of a camera on social media, you know, writing, doing podcasts like this, because you are that brand, people buy into that person, into that human, and your soul needs to shine.
DannySo maybe it's just configuring brand identity.
DannyI've named quite a lot of companies, so quirky words.
DannyAnd I'm a linguist.
HostHow many different languages do you speak?
HostCome on in.
DannySo I speak Bosnian fluently, but being able to speak Bosnian or former Yugoslavian means you can speak.
HostThat's your mother tongue.
DannyThat's my mother tongue means that you can speak Croatian.
DannyYou can go to Slovenia and speak part Slovenian.
DannyYou can go to other parts of former Yugoslavia and communicate.
DannyI've been in and out Turkey quite a lot, so I'm not fluent, but I know enough to survive.
DannyWe lived in China for a bit.
DannyAgain, not a lot, but man is quite tricky.
DannyYep.
DannyAnd obviously English.
DannyI studied German for quite a few years, so I can communicate in German.
DannyYeah, I can.
DannyI can step in and out.
HostSo of course you're a speaker.
HostOf course you're a speaker, a communicator.
HostThere's so many strings to your bow.
HostI mean, you're not even middle aged, you know, and you've done so much.
HostSo here's the future, like, what's to come.
HostWow.
HostThank you.
HostAmazing.
HostSo I'll wrap this up because you and I have got a lunch to.
HostTo go to now, but I.
HostI could sit and talk for hours to you, but can we wrap this up with you just giving a few because this podcast is aimed at entrepreneurs and business owners.
HostYou are clearly, you've got a lot of experience behind you.
HostYou do an awful lot.
HostWhat are your top tips for entrepreneurs and managing time?
DannyI think that don't be too harsh on yourself.
DannyGo with the flow more and be ready that rather than making a list of 30 things to do today, make a list of five that would change your tomorrow.
DannyI like to have something called the Later Base.
DannyI would suggest that every entrepreneur has the to do list for now and then the Later Base to do list.
DannyAnd that will help you create, like a holistic vision as well.
DannyI would say take care of your mind, body and soul.
DannyCleanse your body with as many herbals as you possibly can in terms of potions like nettles, teas, sage, rosemary, thyme.
DannyI've been drinking recently.
DannyA lot of lion's mane is fantastic.
DannyOf course I'm going to say cbd, but CBD is great for concentration and it's about creating small chunks that are manageable for yourself daily, which will make you completely and utterly present and work smarter, not harder, which means Networking matters.
DannyI use the hashtag a lot.
DannyBuild your network so that your network can help you work and so that you have to do less work, because the more that you build your network and learn about your circles and what their strengths are, it means you don't have to do it all.
DannyAnd, you know, community is power, authenticity is power.
DannyBe more authentic every single day and drop the fear, bring up the love.
DannyYou know, love over fear.
DannyLove wins.
DannyWe need to look at that more.
DannyBut a recent study, and I'll finish this off right now with I recently read a study, I watched a video actually, and then read about it, where 25,000 people were put in the same room and the technologies measured their frequencies.
LiamOf what?
DannyThey measured different frequencies and they worked on sadness, anger, happiness.
DannyWhat made people's heartbeat fluctuate within that scenario.
DannyAnd you would think that love, which was a huge part of it, was second on the list of what makes people the happiest.
DannyThe thing that made people the happiest in 25,000 people studied was authenticity.
DannySo here's to being authentic, going with the flow, cleansing your body and giving your body, you know, as much superfoods as possible.
DannyAnd I love that.
DannyChunking, chunking, chunking.
HostWhat's chunking?
DannySmall chunks that you can deal with.
HostOn a manageable bit.
DannyYes, manageable bits of your day.
DannyLanguage learning.
DannyIt's actually called chunking.
DannyYou learn it in chunks rather than, oh, my God, I have to learn.
HostEnglish and get totally overwhelmed.
HostI think that is a really common trait in entrepreneurs is overwhelm.
HostAnd it's quite normal to get overwhelmed when you're managing different projects.
HostBut yeah, if you think putting it into chunks or just stepping away from it totally for a moment, so.
DannyAnd most things fix themselves if you step away for a bit.
DannyThat's what I find.
HostI love that.
HostWell, give us a hug.
DannyGreat to have you on.
DannyThank you so much.
HostAnd quite nice to do a podcast like this, but it's not in the studio.
HostI think I'm going to be in a lot of trouble for not having the sound right.
DannyBut, hey, hug, Ask for forgiveness later.
HostYes.
HostDanny, you've been amazing.
DannyThank you so much for the opportunity.
DannyLove you.
HostAnd you.
HostSpecial.
