Chelsey Donn:We're just like Siskel and Ebert only instead of reviewing cinematic, masterpieces, we
Trey Gerrald:that's Chelsey Donn,
Chelsey Donn:and that's @TreyGerrald.
Trey Gerrald:and together we are.

Chelsey Donn:It's it's Like Disneyland, you guys.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Chelsey Donn:So exciting
Trey Gerrald:Alright.
Trey Gerrald:So every so often we like to invite a special guest of honor on to share some
Chelsey Donn:with our experience in their field, we have them Dawn, their Review Queen
Trey Gerrald:And today we have got the renowned
Chelsey Donn:Oh My God.
Trey Gerrald:legendary talents of Mr.
Trey Gerrald:Marc Tumminelli.
Trey Gerrald:Woo.
Trey Gerrald:Hi Marc!
Marc Tumminelli:Wow!
Marc Tumminelli:Hi!
Marc Tumminelli:Hi Trey.
Marc Tumminelli:Hi Chelsey.
Marc Tumminelli:Thank you for having me.
Chelsey Donn:Oh, my God.
Chelsey Donn:It our honor.
Chelsey Donn:It is honor.
Marc Tumminelli:I am particularly raspy today.
Trey Gerrald:Ooh.
Marc Tumminelli:enjoy.
Chelsey Donn:Yay, me too,
Trey Gerrald:You know, I'm feeling a little postnasal Adelaide.
Trey Gerrald:Alright.
Trey Gerrald:Let me tell you bit about Marc Tumminelli.
Trey Gerrald:Marc is the founder of Broadway Workshop, New York's top training program for young artists.
Marc Tumminelli:say
Trey Gerrald:Yeah, I would too.
Trey Gerrald:In fact, I just did.
Trey Gerrald:Marc is also considered one of the top acting coaches in New York with over 60 of
Trey Gerrald:Marc also serves as an onset acting coach for Walt Disney pictures.
Trey Gerrald:Excuse me.
Chelsey Donn:What?
Trey Gerrald:Additionally, Marc has become one of the go tos to adapt musicals for their licensable
Chelsey Donn:my God.
Marc Tumminelli:...Oh I love 'Goodest Boy, Max.' That's very sweet.
Marc Tumminelli:Well, Trey, you know, I love you and Chelsey, I feel like we're old friends,
Chelsey Donn:I feel the same way.
Marc Tumminelli:I listen to you guys every week.
Marc Tumminelli:It's so great to be here!
Chelsey Donn:Marc Tumminelli.
Chelsey Donn:We are so excited to have you here today.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, I didn't know that you adapted musicals for the shorter, like school versions.
Chelsey Donn:That's so cool.
Chelsey Donn:So does that mean like when I was at camp and I was doing Guys and Dolls,
Marc Tumminelli:yes.
Marc Tumminelli:In short!
Chelsey Donn:my How cool is that?
Marc Tumminelli:basically I just look at the show and be like, this song sucks we and get rid it.
Chelsey Donn:I always just love when they're doing like Rent for kids or something, you know?
Chelsey Donn:Like what do we
Chelsey Donn:do?
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:I haven't worked on, well, that one I didn't do, but, um,
Chelsey Donn:I know.
Marc Tumminelli:They two things out of it.
Marc Tumminelli:They
Chelsey Donn:Oh my goodness.
Marc Tumminelli:They don't get bronchitis instead of HIV.
Chelsey Donn:Right, right.
Marc Tumminelli:the high school versions are very tame, but these middle school, junior,
Marc Tumminelli:They're just like these kind of fun, easy to put together hour long
Marc Tumminelli:one of my favorite things I get to do.
Marc Tumminelli:So thanks for bringing it up.
Trey Gerrald:I've had the privilege of seeing many of the presentations that Marc has worked on
Chelsey Donn:Oh yeah.
Trey Gerrald:the requirements vary.
Trey Gerrald:Sometimes there'll be trimming songs here and there.
Trey Gerrald:And sometimes it's actually like doing a lot of script doctoring.
Trey Gerrald:Right?
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah, I do a lot of rewriting.
Marc Tumminelli:It depends.
Marc Tumminelli:What the project is sometimes it's just very easy cuts, spamalot was the world's
Marc Tumminelli:So you can just cut a full vignette or rewrite a slight joke.
Marc Tumminelli:But you know, other shows like We Will Rock You get really tricky to cut.
Marc Tumminelli:Curtains the musical was the hardest one I've ever done.
Marc Tumminelli:Cause
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Marc Tumminelli:like a murder going on.
Marc Tumminelli:So as soon as you get rid of a character, the whole thing falls apart, but
Chelsey Donn:That's amazing.
Trey Gerrald:Can you share a little bit about your company Broadway Workshop?
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah, I founded Broadway Workshop in, um, 2007, right before
Chelsey Donn:time.
Marc Tumminelli:and we, uh, it was a great time to start a small business and actually it was
Marc Tumminelli:because no one was expecting anything
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Marc Tumminelli:but, uh, basically we do classes, workshops, camps, and productions
Marc Tumminelli:But since COVID, we have moved to everything virtually.
Marc Tumminelli:So not only are we doing classes and things in the studio, we also offer tons of zoom workshops with
Marc Tumminelli:And it just gives kids with an elevated interest in the performing arts, an opportunity
Marc Tumminelli:Where we can kick your butt a little bit, get you to the next level.
Marc Tumminelli:But we also remember that this is your after-school activity, and there are kids that
Marc Tumminelli:And so it's about finding this perfect balance between those two things.
Marc Tumminelli:I think we have really found that with, the kids that are attracted to Broadway Workshop and I'm
Chelsey Donn:Oh, my God.
Chelsey Donn:That's amazing.
Chelsey Donn:When you're first starting, like how do you feel like you started to grow an audience
Chelsey Donn:Cause that's such a like ambitious thing to do,
Marc Tumminelli:well, honestly, that is the work that never stops because every year I have
Marc Tumminelli:So I'm never, it's not like, oh, we've developed this product and we could just keep doing it.
Chelsey Donn:right.
Marc Tumminelli:are constantly having to engage new kids.
Marc Tumminelli:And when I started, it was all word of mouth and it continues really to be, but one parent
Marc Tumminelli:do probably workshop instead.
Marc Tumminelli:that is how it really grows.
Marc Tumminelli:and then, you know, it's like some Facebook and Instagram Marketing and that continues to be the
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:And it's not ever money because I can certainly produce things cheaper.
Marc Tumminelli:I can get teachers who might have a lower rate,
Chelsey Donn:Sure.
Marc Tumminelli:But aren't as good.
Marc Tumminelli:and so everything is always a bit about creating the best possible product and
Marc Tumminelli:And I think that is what you all are doing over at Review That Review, because I
Marc Tumminelli:Thank
Chelsey Donn:you.
Marc Tumminelli:beautifully marketed and your episodes are so good.
Marc Tumminelli:you're just building the thing.
Marc Tumminelli:You're just pushing the wheel up the hill every week, a little more and more so
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, I think thank you.
Chelsey Donn:You're so sweet to turn, like, what was basically like a kvell about you into a compliment
Chelsey Donn:And I
Chelsey Donn:think I oh, but I think you're talking about like the passion of it.
Chelsey Donn:Like that's, what's so exciting.
Chelsey Donn:Like obviously you're very passionate with helping these kids and I think
Marc Tumminelli:for
Marc Tumminelli:sure.
Trey Gerrald:mentioned the power of the word of mouth,
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:is what we are so obsessed with over here.
Trey Gerrald:Personally, Marc, how impacted are you in your decision-making by online reviews?
Marc Tumminelli:my God.
Marc Tumminelli:I am a Review!
Marc Tumminelli:reader.
Marc Tumminelli:If I am buying anything over the price of $50,
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Marc Tumminelli:reading like 10 different reviews.
Marc Tumminelli:I'm a researcher.
Marc Tumminelli:It took me like two months to buy a mattress I needed to read every review.
Marc Tumminelli:I needed to go sit on every, but I can't trust Raymour and Flanigan because a
Chelsey Donn:Exactly.
Marc Tumminelli:example.
Marc Tumminelli:Like
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:it fresh out the box.
Chelsey Donn:yeah,
Marc Tumminelli:yeah, I'm a Review!
Marc Tumminelli:person for bigger purchases.
Marc Tumminelli:I
Chelsey Donn:uh, so gray.
Trey Gerrald:uh, listeners will remember that our Splash at the Boathouse Review!
Trey Gerrald:was actually curated by Marc Tumminelli.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Chelsey Donn:That that's right.
Chelsey Donn:I love that Review.
Chelsey Donn:That was such a good review because it was the perfect example of how these lower
Chelsey Donn:reviews can't!'.
Chelsey Donn:Well, yeah, but also yeah, as that, but also like how, not every one star review that's really
Marc Tumminelli:well, you got to look at many reviews because you have to
Marc Tumminelli:So it's like, I do a lot of restaurants.
Marc Tumminelli:I will say.
Marc Tumminelli:I look at a lot of restaurant reviews.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Do you ever like, worry about that?
Chelsey Donn:Like being in the public eye, like, like, oh, people can just write a review about me like that.
Chelsey Donn:Do you ever think about it?
Marc Tumminelli:do.
Marc Tumminelli:I do think about it quite a bit.
Marc Tumminelli:So if I'm having like about with a parent about something
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:refund or something that I know, and I'm a very ethical person.
Marc Tumminelli:So if I, if I do say so myself, but if I'm like, no, you're not getting, you just didn't show up
Marc Tumminelli:I'm not refunding you.
Marc Tumminelli:Like
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Marc Tumminelli:that space to another,
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Marc Tumminelli:but it's sometimes it's like, true.
Marc Tumminelli:The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Marc Tumminelli:It's like sometimes easier just to be like, I don't want to deal with you.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:you to go to and write a negative review.
Marc Tumminelli:Just easier to like, just let's walk away from this, which kind of sucks for the parents who
Marc Tumminelli:And sometimes the same thing it's like, I miss the classes are mistake.
Marc Tumminelli:Let's figure out what we can do here.
Chelsey Donn:Right, right.
Marc Tumminelli:I will say that sometimes it just makes the most sense.
Marc Tumminelli:I've worked in customer service, for very big ticketing company.
Marc Tumminelli:you know, I dealt with a lot of people calling and screaming and it's just like, how do we
Trey Gerrald:Right.
Marc Tumminelli:and you get so much more and we all know this.
Marc Tumminelli:If like, you're really nice to somebody versus like cursing somebody out.
Marc Tumminelli:I've been, been on the wrong side of that a few
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Chelsey Donn:I'm sure we all have.
Marc Tumminelli:it's nice to be kill people with kindness.
Marc Tumminelli:a lot,
Chelsey Donn:love it.
Marc Tumminelli:a Review!.
Marc Tumminelli:I love to read a review.
Marc Tumminelli:I write a review
Chelsey Donn:I was going to say, have you ever written like a one-star review of something?
Marc Tumminelli:Oh yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:Oh certainly.
Marc Tumminelli:I, I sh I probably, I think I have in the, oh, I have in the last like month,
Trey Gerrald:I actually, yeah, your husband sent it to me.
Marc Tumminelli:what was it for?
Marc Tumminelli:I like don't even remember it.
Marc Tumminelli:Wasn't the.
Trey Gerrald:like the appliance.
Marc Tumminelli:my God, that's it.
Marc Tumminelli:She called me be like, why would you write that?
Marc Tumminelli:Review!
Chelsey Donn:my God.
Marc Tumminelli:the Review!.
Marc Tumminelli:She's like, I gave you everything back that you asked for.
Marc Tumminelli:I said, but is anything in my review?
Marc Tumminelli:A lie?
Marc Tumminelli:Like, did I
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:Where am I lying about anything?
Marc Tumminelli:She's like, no, I was like, well, then
Chelsey Donn:then the public deserves to know
Trey Gerrald:that's ballsy of them to
Chelsey Donn:to call it yeah.
Chelsey Donn:To call you and be like, why would you do that?
Chelsey Donn:How about calling and saying, I saw that you wrote the serve you, I wanted to like, you know,
Chelsey Donn:Maybe you would have taken it down.
Marc Tumminelli:I would have hundred percent taken it
Chelsey Donn:Exactly.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, that's the whole point full circle.
Chelsey Donn:You win more flies with honey.
Chelsey Donn:You know what I
Chelsey Donn:mean?
Chelsey Donn:There we go.
Trey Gerrald:Alright.
Trey Gerrald:So, Marc, you obviously know this because you are a listener and we love you for
Trey Gerrald:as a warmup, we like to show our diversity as RQs, by sharing how we
Chelsey Donn:So many.
Trey Gerrald:judging.
Trey Gerrald:Marc, I have a big ask for you.
Trey Gerrald:you like to join us as we,
VOICEOVER:Lodge A Complaint.
Marc Tumminelli:Yes.
Chelsey Donn:oh my God, Yay.
Chelsey Donn:Okay, great.
Chelsey Donn:Thank God.
Chelsey Donn:He said, yes,
Chelsey Donn:God.
Chelsey Donn:I was worried.
Trey Gerrald:Okay So I today really need to lodge a complaint against
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Trey Gerrald:experience like you're laying in bed and you're trying to charge
Trey Gerrald:You could just see as like
Trey Gerrald:an
Marc Tumminelli:Trey.
Marc Tumminelli:You better leave
Chelsey Donn:You better leave that.
Trey Gerrald:and it's just it's it's like, Two, then you have to like roll on one side
Trey Gerrald:It's just, it's awful.
Trey Gerrald:I don't understand who came up with the actual lengths for which power cords standard
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I was going to say like, do you think that there's like a focus group where
Trey Gerrald:I know with apple, you can buy a, um, they have to, they do have a longer
Chelsey Donn:I know ridiculous.
Trey Gerrald:just, I'm lodging a complaint against power cords that are
Marc Tumminelli:you thought matter how long it would be would never be long enough.
Trey Gerrald:Yes.
Trey Gerrald:I have actually thought about that.
Trey Gerrald:I mean, that's very true to life, right.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:What a metaphor.
Trey Gerrald:that's my complaint.
Trey Gerrald:I'm lodging it.
Trey Gerrald:Please.
Trey Gerrald:Someone help us another shark tank idea.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Chelsey Donn:Adding it to the ledger.
Chelsey Donn:Totally agree.
Chelsey Donn:I personally just wish that all power cords were like retractable,
Chelsey Donn:Like
Trey Gerrald:on iron irons
Chelsey Donn:I want it as long as exactly.
Chelsey Donn:I want to, as long as I want it when I want it that long, you know what I mean?
Chelsey Donn:And then if I just want it short, I can make it short.
Chelsey Donn:Like I would pay more for the product.
Chelsey Donn:Why is it not, I don't know.
Marc Tumminelli:Trey just said he wouldn't pay $10 extra for the long cord.
Trey Gerrald:I have as the problem,
Chelsey Donn:you pay for retractable though?
Chelsey Donn:A retractable cord.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, who wouldn't
Chelsey Donn:pay for that?
Trey Gerrald:Alright Marc, what about you?
Trey Gerrald:Is there something you would like to complain
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:I want to complain about the company Quip and their toothbrushes.
Chelsey Donn:Oh no.
Chelsey Donn:Are they bad?
Chelsey Donn:Tell me
Marc Tumminelli:I'm very obsessed with teeth.
Marc Tumminelli:So the Quip company is actually fabulous.
Marc Tumminelli:I, I just, switched to equip this year.
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Marc Tumminelli:And within like a couple of weeks, like it wouldn't do the full three-minute
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Marc Tumminelli:the battery.
Marc Tumminelli:Same thing was happening.
Marc Tumminelli:I emailed them, they responded immediately and they
Chelsey Donn:Great.
Marc Tumminelli:something wrong here.
Marc Tumminelli:We'll send you a fresh one new one coming in the mail.
Marc Tumminelli:I'm like, oh, that's so nice.
Marc Tumminelli:They're like, just throw out your old one and like, whatever.
Marc Tumminelli:So I throw out the old one, got the new one it's happening again.
Chelsey Donn:no.
Marc Tumminelli:now here's, there's two things.
Marc Tumminelli:I brushed my teeth more than a normal person.
Marc Tumminelli:I
Chelsey Donn:You're really putting this to the test,
Chelsey Donn:the full test.
Marc Tumminelli:a battery life.
Marc Tumminelli:So it's fine.
Marc Tumminelli:I can change my own battery.
Marc Tumminelli:The problem is it is so hard to get
Chelsey Donn:Um,
Marc Tumminelli:out of the
Chelsey Donn:you have a tail.
Marc Tumminelli:that
Marc Tumminelli:like,
Trey Gerrald:clap
Chelsey Donn:Oh,
Marc Tumminelli:cannot separate these two things.
Marc Tumminelli:And now I'm only sitting there thinking what is going to happen when I'm older, when
Chelsey Donn:oh yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:there's no way these are the things that I think about all day
Chelsey Donn:Oh God.
Marc Tumminelli:able to do this in my seventies, late seventies,
Chelsey Donn:I can barely Do it now.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:So my issue with Quip is like, there needs to come a better way.
Marc Tumminelli:Maybe you can turn it to the left and something needs to happen, but you can not get, the other
Chelsey Donn:She has to order online or
Chelsey Donn:what?
Marc Tumminelli:Well, when you
Chelsey Donn:months.
Marc Tumminelli:comes with a toothpaste it comes with the floss.
Marc Tumminelli:I don't want their toothpaste
Chelsey Donn:Oh,
Marc Tumminelli:own toothpaste.
Marc Tumminelli:I just want extra heads because I'm going to change it
Chelsey Donn:oh, that's ridiculous.
Chelsey Donn:This is like all sounding very wasteful to me.
Chelsey Donn:You know, throw the old toothbrush.
Marc Tumminelli:months, it's just, got to say, I think I'm looking at some regular old back to
Chelsey Donn:I going to say, go back to the Sonicare man.
Chelsey Donn:I
Chelsey Donn:have the Sonicare.
Chelsey Donn:like it's great.
Chelsey Donn:I know it's a lot.
Chelsey Donn:Me too.
Chelsey Donn:I
Chelsey Donn:hate that part.
Trey Gerrald:So good
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Trey Gerrald:Quip, but that it is exceedingly difficult to pull it apart.
Trey Gerrald:I've.
Marc Tumminelli:But I do love the product.
Marc Tumminelli:It's very good.
Marc Tumminelli:And the customer service is excellent.
Marc Tumminelli:So lodging, a complaint
Chelsey Donn:Yeah,
Marc Tumminelli:easier to remove.
Chelsey Donn:they should really listen to this and change these things about their products.
Chelsey Donn:Cause it seems like they're doing a lot, right.
Marc Tumminelli:Please tag them in the show
Marc Tumminelli:notes.
Trey Gerrald:sure.
Chelsey Donn:I just want to talk a little bit, cause I feel like this was a big topic back in the
Chelsey Donn:Like if I'm reading like a New York times article or something, and then all of a sudden
Chelsey Donn:Like just stop it, I can't stand it.
Chelsey Donn:It's really annoying.
Chelsey Donn:Or the popups that like move with you.
Chelsey Donn:So you're trying to like do some sort of like, I don't know, online Jenga
Chelsey Donn:What is this?
Marc Tumminelli:particularly bad.
Marc Tumminelli:If you're a theater lover and you check out playbill.com, is the worst pop-up situation.
Marc Tumminelli:New York times is pretty bad
Chelsey Donn:A'..
Marc Tumminelli:it's a it's rough stuff.
Chelsey Donn:It's like, yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Get out of here.
Chelsey Donn:And then sometimes there's like a hidden ex you got to find the fucking hidden necks.
Marc Tumminelli:or the X is there and you hit it and it takes you to the
Chelsey Donn:Oh yes.
Chelsey Donn:Well, cause you didn't hit the X, right?
Chelsey Donn:You hit the X a little bit to the right of the X and now you're at an ad landing page.
Chelsey Donn:It's ridiculous.
Marc Tumminelli:feel your Chelsey.
Chelsey Donn:Thank
Chelsey Donn:you.
Trey Gerrald:feel you too.
Trey Gerrald:That, that is like a thing.
Trey Gerrald:It's like a constant aggravator as you're just trying to seek knowledge
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Just trying to read an article, learn some things, you know?
Trey Gerrald:we go.
Trey Gerrald:So, Marc, since you coach for youth.
Trey Gerrald:Today, brought it in a Review!
Trey Gerrald:that we're really gonna need your expertise on.
Trey Gerrald:Okay.
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Trey Gerrald:have one star Yelp review for...
Trey Gerrald:I'm nervous to say the company name.
Trey Gerrald:I'm going to just say the company.
Trey Gerrald:Okay.
Trey Gerrald:So I have a one-star Yelp review for Barbizon youth acting and modeling
Marc Tumminelli:great.
Trey Gerrald:California, that I feel really needs to be inspected.
Trey Gerrald:So how it works here is I'm going to read the review.
Trey Gerrald:We're going to break it down together.
Trey Gerrald:all three of us will rate the impact on a scale from one to five crowns.
Trey Gerrald:And this is a very Regal process that we like to call.
VOICEOVER:Assess that Kvetch!
Chelsey Donn:And it's your turn Marc to embody your Review Queen ness and help us crown trays.
Chelsey Donn:Our view.
Chelsey Donn:Are you ready for the challenge
Marc Tumminelli:am ready.
VOICEOVER:Review That Review.
Trey Gerrald:Okay.
Trey Gerrald:So today I have a one-star review from Dolores L
Chelsey Donn:Delores L.
Trey Gerrald:from Yelp.
Trey Gerrald:This is for Barbizon acting and modeling.
Trey Gerrald:And here we go.
Trey Gerrald:Honestly, I was really excited and interested in this, but just wait.
Trey Gerrald:Me and my mom got approached by an older guy in Walmart telling us that
Trey Gerrald:He said that it was a short line I had to say, and that it was going to be at the Marriott hotel.
Trey Gerrald:He gave us an invitation that seemed legit.
Trey Gerrald:The next day I went there and about 25 kids there.
Trey Gerrald:We all went up and said our line.
Trey Gerrald:After that we walked down the stage went to this table.
Trey Gerrald:And all they said was, if we like you, we will call you within the week.
Trey Gerrald:About a week later, they gave us a address to a acting school.
Trey Gerrald:We went there and waited a long time.
Trey Gerrald:The girl came finally late about an hour and called us in and said, sorry, her grandpa died.
Trey Gerrald:And she lost track of time.
Trey Gerrald:Really all a con.
Trey Gerrald:She told me to stand in the corner, T H E E and say my line, I did,
Trey Gerrald:I was really nervous and still asleep.
Trey Gerrald:Oh!
Trey Gerrald:I forgot.
Trey Gerrald:There was another kid there waiting as well.
Trey Gerrald:I noticed her from the audition.
Trey Gerrald:Not to be mean, but she was not good at all.
Trey Gerrald:She looked down the whole time and whispered her line and wouldn't stop shaking her leg.
Trey Gerrald:They said that they only picked three out of everyone that was there.
Trey Gerrald:Ummm...
Trey Gerrald:pretty weird.
Trey Gerrald:Anyways I was really bad in the audition in the corner and she smiled really big.
Trey Gerrald:It kind of scared me and clapped and said, "amazing!"
Trey Gerrald:She told us the whole procedure then told us the cost $3,000 for the whole six months.
Trey Gerrald:My mom was willing to do whatever made me happy.
Trey Gerrald:The girl told me I can pay now.
Trey Gerrald:Or in six months I was going to do the six months thing.
Trey Gerrald:I told my friend about it.
Trey Gerrald:She told me they came up to her about four years ago in a mall and told
Trey Gerrald:They auditioned and everything.
Trey Gerrald:They both made it.
Trey Gerrald:Their cost was $10,000 for both of them.
Trey Gerrald:Their mom did it for them.
Trey Gerrald:They went through with everything.
Trey Gerrald:Then on the last part, the final audition with a bunch of agents in the front row.
Trey Gerrald:They both did it and a bunch of agents went up to her sister telling her that she was amazing told
Trey Gerrald:They never called her, and her mom wasted $10,000 for nothing.
Trey Gerrald:think God for my friend, because luckily my mom didn't waste her money too.
Trey Gerrald:All caps.
Trey Gerrald:This is just a huge money hungry scam.
Trey Gerrald:Don't go here.
Trey Gerrald:Please.
Trey Gerrald:And it's also weird that for all the reviews, I've read all the money prices is different.
Chelsey Donn:Delores Delores, Delores.
Chelsey Donn:How old do we think Dolores is?
Marc Tumminelli:I think she's like 14, maybe 13.
Trey Gerrald:I think Dolores has an early teen, sorry.
Trey Gerrald:I had a hard time reading that because it really is like, there's maybe five periods in this.
Trey Gerrald:It's all run on sentences with no capitalizations, but I, something about my
Trey Gerrald:And she's like, everyone be careful.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah
Marc Tumminelli:is looking out for Dolores.
Chelsey Donn:guys.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, I know it's not the most important thing about the serve you, but I just feel like Dolores
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, I know it's at the, well, so call her Dolores for the sake of this
Marc Tumminelli:Well, this is something I tell the parents about all the time.
Marc Tumminelli:This is like a very real scam that happens with lot of different companies like this.
Marc Tumminelli:And John Robert Powers, there used to be something called the star network and they're all.
Marc Tumminelli:Basically scams, where they go up to people in malls, they go out to people at targets.
Marc Tumminelli:They say, you want to be an actor?
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:this open Disney call where they say Disney call they'll post it.
Marc Tumminelli:You can go to their websites.
Marc Tumminelli:And then it's always at a hotel.
Chelsey Donn:my God.
Chelsey Donn:it's, shady.
Marc Tumminelli:it's so shady.
Marc Tumminelli:And normally it's jeez, Dolores, our friend saying there's only 25 kids.
Marc Tumminelli:There it's normally like hundred kids there.
Chelsey Donn:I was going to say I was shocked that it was so little,
Marc Tumminelli:Um, it was probably a bad day at Barbara's on.
Marc Tumminelli:So um, they, they give the kids like a commercial to read.
Marc Tumminelli:And then a lot of times what they do is they give them a sticker that says
Marc Tumminelli:That like you've made it past round one.
Marc Tumminelli:they, they make it feel like the whole time you're auditioning until they sit you down
Marc Tumminelli:And it only costs $1,100.
Chelsey Donn:right, right, right.
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Marc Tumminelli:the, do you know the famous bait and switch of, you know,
Marc Tumminelli:If they bought the thousand dollar package,
Chelsey Donn:So they're eliminating people presumably, right.
Chelsey Donn:Or like,
Marc Tumminelli:I don't think they're, they're not eliminating anyone.
Trey Gerrald:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:I think they're telling that to add the pressure,
Chelsey Donn:okay.
Trey Gerrald:three people
Chelsey Donn:Oh, got it.
Chelsey Donn:But they're really saying that to everybody.
Chelsey Donn:Ugh.
Chelsey Donn:That's so gross.
Chelsey Donn:Poor Dolores,
Marc Tumminelli:they want to hear their kid's a star they want,
Chelsey Donn:right?
Marc Tumminelli:thinks their kid is gorgeous and talented and has
Chelsey Donn:Sure.
Chelsey Donn:Of course.
Marc Tumminelli:and then there are kids who actually do have talent in something special and
Marc Tumminelli:They are getting in
Chelsey Donn:Well,
Marc Tumminelli:of these people,
Chelsey Donn:yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:what cost.
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Well, I was wondering about that because when they talked about the
Chelsey Donn:do think
Marc Tumminelli:and the things that I
Chelsey Donn:Or like assistance or something?
Marc Tumminelli:And yeah, there assistance there,
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:and the chances are, even if someone's really talented,
Chelsey Donn:Right,
Marc Tumminelli:a call.
Marc Tumminelli:We used to do an industry, showcase a free showcase every year and
Marc Tumminelli:we'd have like 300 kids audition.
Marc Tumminelli:We'd put 40 showcase kids in the showcase and it was completely free to be in it.
Marc Tumminelli:They didn't have
Chelsey Donn:right.
Marc Tumminelli:Um, and we were doing that so that we could meet new kids.
Marc Tumminelli:We'd have like
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:new kids we met.
Marc Tumminelli:But out of those 40 that we thought were really Marcetable, maybe 15 got callbacks.
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Marc Tumminelli:you know what I mean?
Marc Tumminelli:It's like, even if you have it and you're great, doesn't mean that an agent is looking
Chelsey Donn:Right,
Marc Tumminelli:it's, or they really just want really tiny kids.
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:like that.
Trey Gerrald:it's interesting to me because I have a very close friend
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Trey Gerrald:on.
Trey Gerrald:they actually do teach, it is all inside of this huge financial commitment that's required.
Trey Gerrald:But because Dolores is presumably young, I mean,
Trey Gerrald:they were the one that was scouted.
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Trey Gerrald:perspective here because we have our own personal opinions of what
Trey Gerrald:But from Dolores, his point of view and this Review!
Trey Gerrald:we think that the information is valuable?
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Very.
Marc Tumminelli:think about it.
Marc Tumminelli:If your parent, is the other thing, why it's so great that we have and this
Marc Tumminelli:Is this a real thing.
Marc Tumminelli:I always tell parents who probably works out cause we have a lot of kids come from all
Marc Tumminelli:And the last day I do this whole thing about you're ever asked to pay
Chelsey Donn:Red flag.
Marc Tumminelli:good to be true, it is too good
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:And if you have a question, email me and I will let you know.
Marc Tumminelli:So
Chelsey Donn:Right,
Marc Tumminelli:get emails randomly, like, Hey, I got stopped to do this thing.
Marc Tumminelli:I'm like, yeah, this is just a community theater.
Chelsey Donn:right.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah,
Marc Tumminelli:a $200 fee to be in the show like,
Chelsey Donn:sure.
Chelsey Donn:Oh, gross.
Marc Tumminelli:star and it costs $800 a month.
Marc Tumminelli:And I'm gonna put your picture in this book, that was like a big thing in the eighties
Chelsey Donn:yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:of like coming up, um, it was faces international was the big
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Was that the one that was like at like reproductions?
Chelsey Donn:Like they would have like those books, I think in the waiting rooms till,
Chelsey Donn:yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:this huge book and you paid $250 or $500 if you wanted a full page.
Marc Tumminelli:And
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Marc Tumminelli:the agents and casting, my dad took me in to faces international and
Chelsey Donn:my God.
Marc Tumminelli:Like you meet with all the people, but they're like, but for $500, you
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Marc Tumminelli:And then of course it all got
Chelsey Donn:So gross.
Marc Tumminelli:Elliot Gould was on the commercials.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Marc Tumminelli:as international commercial, put it on the Patreon
Chelsey Donn:Oh yes.
Chelsey Donn:I just think it's so sad.
Chelsey Donn:There's something, you know, obviously there are acting programs that are out there that
Chelsey Donn:then a parents.
Chelsey Donn:And then a parent's love for the child
Chelsey Donn:just feels so
Chelsey Donn:gross to me.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:think she's very good.
Marc Tumminelli:And she knows she's like, I am suck.
Marc Tumminelli:I just was along for the
Marc Tumminelli:ride.
Chelsey Donn:I wanted to talk to you about that So like, do you think that it's possible
Marc Tumminelli:I think it's like a kid who just doing it for fun.
Trey Gerrald:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:oh, it was really bad.
Marc Tumminelli:Like they do the school play and they're like, well, my God, it was so embarrassing.
Marc Tumminelli:It was like so bad.
Marc Tumminelli:I was great.
Chelsey Donn:be good.
Chelsey Donn:I feel like sometimes the kids that are like, oh my God, I'm so bad end up being
Chelsey Donn:And the kids that like really care and like really want to be great are really trying.
Chelsey Donn:They just look not natural and good, but if you're like onstage and like,
Chelsey Donn:This is dumb.
Chelsey Donn:Maybe that actually looks real.
Chelsey Donn:So I wonder if Dolores is being a little bit harsh on herself here.
Marc Tumminelli:Well, like as much as they say they want like real kids, they don't, they want
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
Marc Tumminelli:that look real and are not annoying, but are good actors,
Chelsey Donn:Right, right,
Marc Tumminelli:gritty, real kids.
Marc Tumminelli:I'm like, yeah, but you need them to present.
Marc Tumminelli:Well,
Chelsey Donn:right, right.
Marc Tumminelli:kids.
Marc Tumminelli:So
Chelsey Donn:True.
Marc Tumminelli:seems to me like salt of the earth.
Marc Tumminelli:She's a real kid.
Marc Tumminelli:sure she's working at a
Chelsey Donn:For sure.
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Trey Gerrald:it reminds me of how Audrey Hepburn famously said that every single day
Trey Gerrald:But I
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Chelsey Donn:That's not what's happening here.
Trey Gerrald:that's one line of dialogue that they had to act was.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Marc Tumminelli:it would probably is like, my stomach always hurts.
Marc Tumminelli:But now with your children's Tylenol, my stomach feels great.
Marc Tumminelli:It's like, it's always, it's always problem and a solution.
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Marc Tumminelli:a worst lunch, but now with new Lunchables, lunch is
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Marc Tumminelli:It's like, someone's always bad at something.
Marc Tumminelli:And then they get real good at it.
Chelsey Donn:That's
Chelsey Donn:hilarious.
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Chelsey Donn:Dr.
Chelsey Donn:Dolores.
Trey Gerrald:atrocious.
Trey Gerrald:I
Chelsey Donn:Awful.
Trey Gerrald:their mom's iPhone, typing it in, like, this is insane.
Trey Gerrald:This girl, like she's really bad not to be mean.
Chelsey Donn:Yes,
Trey Gerrald:I do think that Delores is being truthful
Chelsey Donn:do tail.
Trey Gerrald:Marc was alluding to doesn't sound like Dolores has a lot, a lot in the game here.
Trey Gerrald:I think Dolores was like, this could be fun for Saturday like, oh, but I'm like a bad actor.
Chelsey Donn:Right, right, right.
Trey Gerrald:this is bad this is a lot of money.
Trey Gerrald:So for that reason, it sounds to me like Delores is being very truthful.
Chelsey Donn:I do think Dolores has.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I think we could try.
Chelsey Donn:I just wonder, like, if we're writing this as an assay, why the first point of con was
Chelsey Donn:that was
Chelsey Donn:like
Trey Gerrald:a weird part.
Chelsey Donn:right
Chelsey Donn:thing.
Trey Gerrald:AF okay.
Trey Gerrald:It says, came finally late about an hour and called us in and said, sorry, her grandpa died.
Trey Gerrald:And she lost track of time.
Trey Gerrald:Really?
Trey Gerrald:All a con,
Chelsey Donn:all con so like why, like, why like, is that the first piece of evidence?
Chelsey Donn:Like there's so many other
Marc Tumminelli:she doesn't believe that she was late because her grandfather died.
Marc Tumminelli:She thought she was
Chelsey Donn:that
Marc Tumminelli:some other BS.
Chelsey Donn:that's
Chelsey Donn:the con that's
Marc Tumminelli:with a Starbucks.
Chelsey Donn:right.
Chelsey Donn:like, I don't
Chelsey Donn:believe your grandfather died.
Trey Gerrald:mourning a grandpa looks like.
Chelsey Donn:know.
Chelsey Donn:I just thought that
Chelsey Donn:was So funny.
Trey Gerrald:humor on the Review!.
Trey Gerrald:How do we feel?
Trey Gerrald:I think it's incidentally humorous.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Anecdotal
Chelsey Donn:again.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:So ultimately before we go into crowning, what do you think?
Trey Gerrald:Like, would you find this to be a deal breaker for you?
Trey Gerrald:Like if you were a parent?
Trey Gerrald:Yeah, I would
Trey Gerrald:why I love that.
Trey Gerrald:Dolores is like not an angry mom.
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Chelsey Donn:Love.
Trey Gerrald:it's like, this is a scam.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, when I heard the name Delores and one SAR, I just assumed that this was going to be a
Chelsey Donn:And I love that it was from the kid's perspective.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:All right.
Trey Gerrald:So I think I'm ready to cry now.
Trey Gerrald:How do
Chelsey Donn:I'm ready to crown.
Marc Tumminelli:Yeah, sure.
Trey Gerrald:Alright.
Trey Gerrald:on a scale from one to five crowns, we will simultaneously reveal
VOICEOVER:Queens are Tabulating.
Trey Gerrald:whoa.
Chelsey Donn:wow.
Chelsey Donn:That's first
Marc Tumminelli:I w
Chelsey Donn:queen.
Marc Tumminelli:I want to honor Dolores because maybe she
Chelsey Donn:Yeah, I think so, too.
Marc Tumminelli:on Review That Review.
Chelsey Donn:I want to see Dolores.
Chelsey Donn:I want to see if she is really bad.
Chelsey Donn:Cause I have a feeling she's not
Marc Tumminelli:What if I like found Delores and made her a star
Chelsey Donn:think should
Chelsey Donn:make Delores a start.
Chelsey Donn:She's like,
Chelsey Donn:' Marc Tumminelli: And now I'm in
Trey Gerrald:Literally.
Trey Gerrald:said four crowns because ultimately I feel like Delores really led from a protective heart
Chelsey Donn:Yes,
Trey Gerrald:while they didn't really do any auto, correct,
Trey Gerrald:didn't do any grammar.
Trey Gerrald:a huge punch to Delores as Review!.
Chelsey Donn:yeah.
Trey Gerrald:to take the one crown off because, uh, it, needs she needs
Trey Gerrald:But, um, that's why I said four because I would not want to take any of my loved ones here.
Trey Gerrald:What about you Chelsey?
Trey Gerrald:Why did you say four.
Chelsey Donn:I really love Dolores.
Chelsey Donn:I mean, when I was a kid, I was like a chubby kid.
Chelsey Donn:So I was never the one that was approached by any of these people.
Chelsey Donn:And I was always like a little bit jealous.
Chelsey Donn:I wanted to be approached in the mall or the Walmart and I wasn't.
Chelsey Donn:And I feel like Dolores really took me through that whole process.
Chelsey Donn:Like I could now write a lifetime movie about the process of being
Chelsey Donn:And I think it's a real cautionary tale.
Chelsey Donn:I love the fact that it's, from the kid's perspective, I think any parent reading this would
Chelsey Donn:I took off the crown for, you know, spelling and grammar and the fact that she called
Chelsey Donn:So other than that, I thought that Delores was a real queen.
Chelsey Donn:And for crowns to Dolores,
Trey Gerrald:what about you, Marc?
Trey Gerrald:Why did you say four?
Marc Tumminelli:I feel like any kid who's taking pen to paper or in this
Chelsey Donn:yes,
Marc Tumminelli:to iPhone, you know, deserves a little something special
Chelsey Donn:agree.
Marc Tumminelli:kids are not, I think kids should review
Chelsey Donn:I agree.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Amazing.
Chelsey Donn:Let's take a quick break.
Chelsey Donn:And when we return, Marc has agreed to share a view that he himself has received.
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Trey Gerrald:Ooh, I can't wait for that.
Trey Gerrald:All right, we'll right, back.
VOICEOVER:Hold your crown.
VOICEOVER:we'll be right back.
Chelsey Donn:All right, we are back.
Chelsey Donn:And now it's time to get a little more personal Marc.
Chelsey Donn:We asked you to bring a personal review in with you today.
Chelsey Donn:That was either a harsh critic or an MVR, most valuable reviewer.
Trey Gerrald:Basically a negative or a positive review, so we will together.
VOICEOVER:Assess That Kvetch!
Trey Gerrald:And then just like before Marc, we will ask you to share with
Trey Gerrald:So, Marc, what Review!
Trey Gerrald:did you bring in for us today?
Marc Tumminelli:So I picked a review from Alison Brooks Admunson, who is a,
Marc Tumminelli:And then she also sent her daughter to New York to do multiple camps with us.
Marc Tumminelli:and it just was a nice review and it was the first thing that popped out it's from August 25th, 2020.
Marc Tumminelli:And as I mentioned, I don't have negative reviews, but it's not because people don't like me.
Marc Tumminelli:Wait, it's not because people don't hate me.
Marc Tumminelli:Plenty of people hate me, but, um, they just haven't taken to the internet with it yet.
Trey Gerrald:I hope that this is not an invitation.
Chelsey Donn:it's not.
Marc Tumminelli:write nasty reviews about
Chelsey Donn:Don't do it.
Chelsey Donn:Don't you dare.
Trey Gerrald:All right.
Trey Gerrald:So Chelsey is going to read it.
Trey Gerrald:I'm so excited.
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Chelsey Donn:I will read this Facebook.
Chelsey Donn:Review!
Chelsey Donn:from Alison Brooks, Adamson for Broadway Workshop.
Chelsey Donn:I cannot say enough good things about Broadway Workshop!
Chelsey Donn:For one, Marc Tumminelli is a legend.
Chelsey Donn:He is so down to earth and makes the kids feel like they have known him forever.
Chelsey Donn:He understands that many students come to workshop full of anxiety.
Chelsey Donn:His warm and friendly personality puts them at ease immediately.
Chelsey Donn:He is such an encourager.
Chelsey Donn:Marc's guest teachers are also amazing.
Chelsey Donn:In six years of attending Broadway Workshop camps, not once, have we ever
Chelsey Donn:From Camp Kentucky to NYC workshops, he brings the best of Broadway wherever he goes.
Chelsey Donn:Aw,
Marc Tumminelli:so sweet.
Marc Tumminelli:Isn't
Chelsey Donn:that's so nice.
Chelsey Donn:I love that.
Chelsey Donn:I just think there's so many great things in the serve you that if I were like a parent or
Chelsey Donn:that would make me feel better.
Chelsey Donn:Like I love the Alison address, the anxiety, because, you know, especially when I was a
Trey Gerrald:Yeah, I actually it's.
Trey Gerrald:interesting in contrast with Dolores is Review!
Trey Gerrald:because I felt that there was so much unknown with Dolores and what
Trey Gerrald:here is that the experience is very positive.
Trey Gerrald:It's very encouraging.
Trey Gerrald:And the whole idea of anxiety.
Trey Gerrald:I feel like any there's.
Trey Gerrald:I mean, there's so much anxiety that becomes around performance, getting in front of
Trey Gerrald:And Alison really speaks to how Broadway Workshop cultivates a, an
Trey Gerrald:I love this Review!
Trey Gerrald:I think it's very valuable.
Trey Gerrald:I also believe Alison, it seems like they are very invested in the product,
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Marc Tumminelli:It's very sweet.
Marc Tumminelli:Cause our, our program in Kentucky is meat going to Kentucky with like four other.
Marc Tumminelli:You know, teaching artists and doing a week long intensive, and you know, it's kids
Marc Tumminelli:So it's a very different It's a very different way of the way the workshops work.
Marc Tumminelli:It's all very different.
Marc Tumminelli:And so for a kid to, and it's very elevated for what they might be getting locally, even though
Marc Tumminelli:Um, and it feels like they're nervous because they're going to do a theater camp
Chelsey Donn:Of course.
Marc Tumminelli:I believe they have been with us from our very first year there.
Marc Tumminelli:So they were trying a new thing and here we were coming in and every year I brought different, you
Marc Tumminelli:And it was really fun.
Marc Tumminelli:And then some of those kids kind of banded together and were like, we're going to go to New
Marc Tumminelli:Like, you know, obviously different families have different situations that allow them
Marc Tumminelli:But for a lot of these kids, like, that'll be, it they'll do probably workshop and 99.9% of them
Marc Tumminelli:And we just have this little week together as five days together.
Marc Tumminelli:And that is, it's a really special thing to be part of, uh, some artistic excellence a young
Marc Tumminelli:it's as exciting to me as the kids that decide that they want to move
Chelsey Donn:I love
Chelsey Donn:that.
Chelsey Donn:There's so many things that she says that I think are helpful for a parent that are deciding
Chelsey Donn:I love the fact that they've returned for six years.
Chelsey Donn:That makes me feel like they're really genuine.
Chelsey Donn:Like really makes me trust.
Chelsey Donn:Alison BA.
Trey Gerrald:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:That's a really great point.
Trey Gerrald:I think like the repetition of, the relationship here speaks volumes, honestly,
Chelsey Donn:And that light before doing six years.
Chelsey Donn:And they've never been disappointed in the quality of the staff, then that's
Trey Gerrald:For sure.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I love that.
Trey Gerrald:The only thing, like the only sort of I have here, maybe for Alison is like,
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:I'm not having a lot of humor in the
Chelsey Donn:No, I'm not like bowled over.
Chelsey Donn:I'm
Chelsey Donn:not laughing.
Trey Gerrald:me is when, when we're talking about someone's children,
Chelsey Donn:It's not funny.
Trey Gerrald:know it's not like,
Marc Tumminelli:it's not
Chelsey Donn:No,
Trey Gerrald:thing.
Marc Tumminelli:in unclear of what sheet music was,
Chelsey Donn:exactly,
Chelsey Donn:exactly.
Marc Tumminelli:of funny Review!.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:that's
Trey Gerrald:as a Review because I don't even know if it's a
Chelsey Donn:applicable.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I don't know if it comes into play here.
Marc Tumminelli:I'm just looking at other reviews and none of them are funny.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:I don't think they need to be.
Chelsey Donn:Another thing that I liked about Alison BA was I know that we've talked about you working
Chelsey Donn:And so I think that that would be interesting to me if I was from somewhere outside of New York
Trey Gerrald:for sure.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Trey Gerrald:anything else you want to add to this before we crown
Marc Tumminelli:No, it's so weird to be like, I'm amazing.
Marc Tumminelli:Do you guys listen to this amazing Review!
Marc Tumminelli:I would have loved
Chelsey Donn:Well,
Marc Tumminelli:a really negative review and told you this backstory, but
Chelsey Donn:right.
Marc Tumminelli:have that sadly.
Marc Tumminelli:Well, no, I'm glad I don't have that, but no, it's really nice.
Marc Tumminelli:It's really, this is like for anyone listening, that things you love and especially the small
Marc Tumminelli:I just wrote a five-star Google review because it's like the best
Marc Tumminelli:And I'm so worried they're going to close, but that's like the thing, if you find
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Marc Tumminelli:a small business that you know, who owns it, know, it's not the cheesecake
Chelsey Donn:Right, right, right.
Marc Tumminelli:businesses really rely on someone saying, or like a mom and pop or hotel,
Marc Tumminelli:Go to Yelp, go to whatever their Facebook and see some positive things.
Marc Tumminelli:So if anything, I could say they Review!
Marc Tumminelli:means a lot to me, like all, all of the reviews you, because I own my own little business and
Marc Tumminelli:And I try to pay that back wherever I can, with small businesses that,
Trey Gerrald:really is a perfect example of the power that we possess as consumers.
Marc Tumminelli:And we have a lot of what we'll call cheater brands that have
Chelsey Donn:Wow.
Marc Tumminelli:when I started probably workshop, there was like me and one other program, it was
Chelsey Donn:Right,
Marc Tumminelli:thing did not exist that everyone had an acting school.
Marc Tumminelli:So, you know, I encourage parents to look at a legacy of a program.
Marc Tumminelli:this been around two years?
Marc Tumminelli:Has it been around 15
Chelsey Donn:right,
Marc Tumminelli:has this program made.
Marc Tumminelli:Do you know, stars has this program made students great college students.
Chelsey Donn:right, right, right.
Marc Tumminelli:been a place where kids could feel safe and just have their weekend activity
Marc Tumminelli:You know,
Chelsey Donn:Yeah,
Marc Tumminelli:like mine where it's like that person does not have anything to do with this.
Chelsey Donn:right, I mean, I liked that you brought that up Marc, because your,
Chelsey Donn:Obviously the, or your page rather
Chelsey Donn:is, is a great URL, but we trust Alison BA because immediately after she says
Chelsey Donn:And now automatically I know that there's a human being behind this organization.
Marc Tumminelli:That's probably why I like it so much.
Trey Gerrald:Well, I also
Chelsey Donn:Yeah,
Trey Gerrald:that, it isn't like, it doesn't sound ego because it
Chelsey Donn:no,
Trey Gerrald:to Minnelli school of drama,
Trey Gerrald:like there's something
Marc Tumminelli:Should I start that
Trey Gerrald:think you should.
Chelsey Donn:Why not?
Chelsey Donn:At this point you've earned it, but I can.
Marc Tumminelli:crown at.
Chelsey Donn:Let's do it.
VOICEOVER:Queens are Tabulating.
Chelsey Donn:Oh my God.
Chelsey Donn:We did it again.
Chelsey Donn:Four and a half crowns, four and a half crowns.
Chelsey Donn:Love it.
Chelsey Donn:I did four and a half crowns.
Chelsey Donn:I love this.
Chelsey Donn:Review!
Chelsey Donn:from Alison BA it takes a little bit of extra special sauce to make a full
Chelsey Donn:I think it would be a little bit more of a detail about Allison's kid and like what it
Chelsey Donn:But other than that real perfection, how about you, Trey?
Chelsey Donn:What'd you think?
Trey Gerrald:I had a similar thought I'm just sort of removing humor completely
Chelsey Donn:Right.
Trey Gerrald:don't find that I feel this way often, but I would love a dash more
Chelsey Donn:Yes.
Trey Gerrald:taking.
Marc Tumminelli:yeah, it's a nice general.
Marc Tumminelli:Review!
Trey Gerrald:definitely get the positive sense of the impact for six years, which is huge.
Trey Gerrald:So that's why I said four and a half.
Trey Gerrald:It's so close to
Marc Tumminelli:and I
Chelsey Donn:close.
Marc Tumminelli:Nadia Adamson.
Marc Tumminelli:Who's the daughter of Alison
Chelsey Donn:Oh,
Marc Tumminelli:just a great kid.
Marc Tumminelli:And I love her so much.
Marc Tumminelli:just like a Ray of sunshine
Chelsey Donn:oh, Nadia.
Trey Gerrald:Marc, thank you
Chelsey Donn:You're the best.
Trey Gerrald:Alright.
Trey Gerrald:We are reaching towards the end of the episode, but before we
Chelsey Donn:Yes
Trey Gerrald:Marc it's time for us to get serious and crank up the heat.
Chelsey Donn:Yeah.
Chelsey Donn:Can you take it, Marc?
Chelsey Donn:Are you ready?
Marc Tumminelli:You know, I am
Trey Gerrald:So, Marc, we've got some serious questions for you,
Chelsey Donn:All It's time for some strong opinions.
Chelsey Donn:We want to hear your first gut reaction answer.
Chelsey Donn:There is no wrong answer.
Chelsey Donn:Just your immediate response.
Trey Gerrald:Chelsey and I will alternate pulling questions out of our respective Kvetcher hats.
Marc Tumminelli:Guys, you have so much cool stuff
Chelsey Donn:Thank you.
Trey Gerrald:We're gonna put 30 seconds on and you, Marc, will try to answer as
Trey Gerrald:Okay.
Chelsey Donn:Okay.
VOICEOVER:3, 2, 1, GO!
Chelsey Donn:Ok Marc!
Toilet paper:under or over?
Trey Gerrald:Marc, if you got food poisoning from a restaurant, would you go back?
Chelsey Donn:Is cereaI soup?
Marc Tumminelli:No
Trey Gerrald:What does green tastes like?
