Speaker:Hey everyone, this is Matt Sallerson with Wilson Sporting Goods and here's your Racket
Speaker:Sports Tech Tip for today.
Speaker:Last time I spoke about how often you should string your racket.
Speaker:Today I will talk to you about what tension to string it at.
Speaker:When it comes to string tension, it's all about what you need your string to do for you.
Speaker:Most rackets ranges go from 50 pounds to 60 pounds.
Speaker:If you want more power, you want to string your racket's looser between 54 pounds or lower.
Speaker:If you want more control for your strings, your racket needs to be strong at 55 pounds
Speaker:or higher.
Speaker:The weather also factors into string tension.
Speaker:During the summer days you want to string your racket on the higher side since the ball flies
Speaker:through the air quicker.
Speaker:In the winter days you want to string your racket on the lower side because the ball is
Speaker:heavier and doesn't travel through the air as fast.
Speaker:Stay tuned for my next tech tip about string types.
Speaker:Thanks and I look forward to seeing you on the courts.
Speaker:Well, there you have it.
