People were very passionate about airlines and then 'I thought, if I'm

As we know, they don't have the best reputation, uh, 'I.

And weirdly, this review is coming from TripAdvisor.

'I didn't know that TripAdvisor did like all over reviews, but 'I think it's because the

So the following is A' one review for Spirit Airlines written by Captain Ron 3 21.

Subject is Spirit Airlines adds insult to injury with lies.

Like many people we live conservatively celebrating.

Our anniversary is generally A', thoughtful card, some supermarket, flowers and A' restaurant.

One step up from our go-to Longhorn or Olive Garden.

This year marked our 25th, and we decided to celebrate in A'.

More memorable way.

Our plans for A' Romantic cruise were curtailed by family commitments.

After reading some travel blogs and discussions with friends, we settled on A'

We requested the time out of work, which in my wife's case, this meant working

'I carefully planned out each of four days at A' Beautiful resort with options for shows.

Dining and great activities.

Spirit Airlines was the only choice offering direct flights from Boston

While we had A' bad experience previously with Spirit, the difference of three hours

One more.

Online booking was standard for spirit.

Individual charges for everything.

Booking, seat choice, carry on.

Bags, A', drink of water, oxygen.

Just kidding.

We had A' 5:00 AM flight, which would land us at 7:00 AM so we would enjoy the entire first day.

'I called ahead and the resort agreed to get us in early for A', early check-in, spa treatments,

Oh my gosh.

'I took one last look at my computer before going to grab A', couple of

Whoa.

The email started.

We hate running late as much as you do 'I.

Really doubt that is true.

'I called the airline and spoke with A' representative who apologized and said that

Our plan now changed from A' Day by the pool with umbrella drinks to sitting in the airport

Our son dropped us off and we stood in A'.

Horrible line of equally unhappy customers for two hours.

When we finally get to the front of the line, We check our bags and the computer

Weather.

What about maintenance, which 'I was told four hours ago?

'I went on to say that it has been flawlessly spectacular in both locations by all reports,

The representative rolled her eyes, spun her computer monitor around and said, all

She went on to offer me A' refund, but there were no other flights to get there before 5:00

When my wife is enjoying our anniversary weekend sleeping in A' chair by Starbucks, they call

I'm now enraged and only focused on containing myself as to not be arrested by tsa.

So how does the story end?

You wouldn't believe it or perhaps you would.

The plane lands and the incoming flight crew comes off at the gate, 'I chat with

As it turns out, our original flight was nearly empty, so rather than take

Canceled it and doubled up our flight with the next one.

We paid for A' A'.

Lost A' Day at our resort, our rental car, and worst of all, one of our four days.

Airlines purposely made us spend an entire day at an airport gate awaiting

We were lied to not once maintenance, not twice weather, but three times airport construction

That keeping us there was A' plan all.

Sure unforeseen things occur and stuff happens, but having no integrity and

Another and A' long line of Bad Spirit airline stories.

Just go look all over the internet now.

It's up to you.

If you choose to fly with spirit, you may get what you do not deserve.

Well, it's very interesting because just we can talk about this on the after

And there will like sometimes be like three people on the plane.

But that is like A'.

Completely different circumstance.

Wish that we knew the flight crew person's information or name like 'I.

But maybe they like didn't wanna put them on blast cuz that that's

Do you believe the flight person's story.

Imagine if like, if they're saying like, we wanted to leave last night, it was such an early

Like, They just didn't wanna leave cuz they didn't have enough people on the plane.

'I think it seems feasible and also just the fact that it was like we were saying there were

'I was also curious like that the person on the phone was like, you should still come at four 'I.

Wonder if the email actually said that and, and Captain 'I just didn't include that

Oh, if the email said still go on time, or if the email was just like, because

'I don't know.

'I mean That is one, like at the beginning of this, of hearing this

Cuz so often they won't f-ing tell you until you're already checked

point of no return, right?

But, but God, no.

Okay, wait.

Have you ever eaten at A' long?

'I was gonna ask you 'I like, what is that?

It's like A' Steakhouse.

Is it like Outback?

Uh, ish.

Texas Roadhouse has like the most incredible bread baskets.

They give you cinnamon

Think they give you like free peanuts, and there's like peanut shells,

And for some reason 'I think of Longhorn as very similar.

'I get the, the opening statement here is that they're conservative and they live in Boston.

Actually, that was my favorite part of this review, because 'I think going

Everybody knows we don't take spirit, but at the end of the day, The reason why the

And then, and then the end of the day didn't save the money because they were like

That is the tricky thing about vacations in general is like,

You have to book the resort, you have to book all of the like reservations for ho for restaurants.

All of that has to be pre-planned.

So when one little thing goes off, and you would assume 'I mean 'I, at least 'I believe A' story,

Like that's just how it occurred to me.

Maybe there are other airlines that are A' little bit better.

But yeah, they are famous for these like individual fees, which Ron very nicely spells

It's like you're going to Myrtle Beach.

And that's Ron's experience.

If you go to Myrtle Beach, you're gonna have fun.

Do feel that for myself personally, from hearing it, do you think any of this is shady?

It just seems so egregious that if that is A' practice, 'I would think you would

Expounded upon the comment after going over it so much in their mind that like

I'm sure that that is true.

If it's not booked to A' certain capacity,

I've really been enjoying it.

So maybe everyone knows about it or maybe they don't.

So let me just briefly explain my husband's cousin.

Anyway, my cousin Scott, is younger than me and we recently saw them at A'

They were choosing to exit social media and to replace social media apps with duo lingo

And 'I thought, wow, that's so smart.

And so Scott was like, here.

So 'I was like, yeah, sure, whatever.

At my workplace, outside of the podcast, A', lot of people speak Spanish.

And so 'I was someone that did study Spanish in school, but 'I never took it seriously.

'I was incredibly intimidated.

'I, remember my like Spanish two class was the most.

Hum Drumroll teacher who literally had like 350 note cards that just had questions in Spanish,

Repeat the question and then answer it in Spanish, and there was A', no English rule

It did not make me lean in.

It made me petrified.

'I wanted to skip the class.

It was horrible.

Anyway, so all of that to say, 'I took Scott's offer and 'I have been doing Spanish

I've done it every single day, and they're literally five minute like.

Choose the length of time 'I mean, you can tweak it, but I'm doing five minutes A'

But it's not about that for me, it's like 'I.

Choose to take at least five minutes.

'I usually do more than one A' day.

But 'I am committed to doing like this five minute spurt of exercising my brain, trying to grow.

And it also makes me feel like I'm making up for time that 'I didn't take it seriously

And so it's helped me get closer with A', lot of my coworkers, which actually I'm so

It has, um, created an intentionality around using my smartphone.

So 'I cannot recommend do A' lingo enough.

'I had heard of it.

'I thought, 'I don't have interest in that.

I'm not very, and 'I even was sort of like, I'm not gonna stick to that.

Like 'I don't want to like be doing

but they really do A' really great job of making it entertaining,
