prostate, because it preserve length and penis health or

Well, surgery, such as the radical prostatectomy, often

causes nerve damage, plus hypoxia, which is decreased

lead to scar tissue development and also lead to penis

the cock ring because the goal is to bring in more oxygen and

stretch the muscle, not to maintain erection for

Speaker:

intercourse. This is rehabilitation, post prostate

Speaker:

surgery. Okay, so when the goal is for penetrative sex, then you

Speaker:

can use the penis ring after being rehabbed, after you've

Speaker:

been using the penis pump and the protocol for at least six

Speaker:

weeks. But always get cleared by your surgeon first. So you want

Speaker:

to start it when you don't have the catheter in place, okay?

Speaker:

When you have an erection inside the pump, you just don't want to

Speaker:

over distend it. Just get it to a natural erection size, not to

Speaker:

a point where it hurts. So we're going to go over the step by

Speaker:

step instruction now on using this daily, or five to seven

Speaker:

times a week. Again, do not use the penis ring with this. You

Speaker:

want to cycle the erection in the tube for a few seconds to

Speaker:

minute, and then release. Okay? So this is the rehab principle

Speaker:

here. Again, start when the surgeon clears you, which is

Speaker:

when the catheter is out and around about two to four weeks.

Speaker:

The goal is to have an erection that brings in oxygen to the

Speaker:

area and stretching the penis.

Speaker:

How you start is first set up in preparation is trim the pubic

Speaker:

hair at the base so that way you can get an airtight seal and

Speaker:

that you want to put a warm compress, a face towel, small

Speaker:

face towel, put it under warm water, to put a warm com press

Speaker:

on penis here. The goal is to promote more blood flow to the

Speaker:

area. Before you use the penis pump. You want to put a warm com

Speaker:

press there for maybe like three minutes or so. You don't want to

Speaker:

burn it. Remember, warm, not burning hot. And then you want

Speaker:

to use the penis pump, making sure that you lubricate the

Speaker:

base, lubricate the cylinder, and lubricate the penis as well.

Speaker:

And then you're going to start your exercise session. Remember,

Speaker:

no ring at all. Right. So you want to insert the penis into

Speaker:

the cylinder. Make sure that the scrotal sack is being pulled out

Speaker:

like this. And the key is press the cylinder slightly against

Speaker:

the body, downward angle like this. So that way you have a

Speaker:

seal, and you want to pump slowly, two to three times and

Speaker:

pause about five to 10 seconds to allow the blood to fill. So

Speaker:

what it means is that you pump 123, pause, see what's

Speaker:

happening, allow the blood to fill and then pump 234, times,

Speaker:

two, three times, and then allow the blood to fill. Don't do it

Speaker:

continuously like that. That is gonna hurt. It's gonna be

Speaker:

uncomfortable. So just do a two to three time pump and allow the

Speaker:

blood to fill for about five to 10 seconds. So you want to

Speaker:

repeat this pump, pause, pump pause, to allow you to get a

Speaker:

partial or full erection, so that way you have a clear sense

Speaker:

of stretching but no pain. This typically takes about two to

Speaker:

three minutes. Okay, so go slowly like two three pump, and

Speaker:

pause for about five to 10 seconds. So what happen is that

Speaker:

once you feel the shaft is lifted off the bottom of the

Speaker:

cylinder, or elongate or long, you want to hold the erection in

Speaker:

the tube for about two minutes, or maybe even a minute. About

Speaker:

one to two minutes at this point. You want to hold the

Speaker:

erection in there, and then, after two minutes, you want to

Speaker:

press the release button here, to drop the vacuum, allow the

Speaker:

erection to soften. You want to leave the cylinder still here.

Speaker:

You want to repeat the same thing, pump two hold for five to

Speaker:

10 seconds and then release. You want to do this for about three

Speaker:

to eight erection per session. The minimum is three erection

Speaker:

that's held for about a minute to two minutes. But the maximum

Speaker:

is eight erection held for about two minutes. So roughly, it will

Speaker:

take you about seven to 10 minutes to do this exercise. The

Speaker:

key is, do not use the constriction ring or the penis

Speaker:

ring at the base. This is exercise. This is start and

Speaker:

whole exercise. So that way you can get the blood to the penis

Speaker:

and stretch the muscle to prevent atrophy. I recommend

Speaker:

that you do it at least three times a week or five times a

Speaker:

week, and do at least about 10 minutes a day with a cyclic

Speaker:

erection that we talk about, at least cyclic three erection to

Speaker:

eight erection, and do not pump to pain you want to get a good

Speaker:

stretch that is acceptable and that you don't want to do this

Speaker:

longer than 30 minutes, and if you start to see significant

Speaker:

bruising, significant swelling or pain or even blood in the

Speaker:

urine, definitely see your surgeon for evaluation. Of

Speaker:

course, you don't do this without being cleared by your

Speaker:

surgeon anyway.

Speaker:

So this is the penile rehab protocol. I hope this is useful.

sure that you clear this with your surgeon as well. But the
