It's time to elevate. Let's dive in. Hello, hello, and welcome back to Elevate Daily. I'm Alexia Scard, and I am so enthused to have you here with me today. So I had. What most people would call a dream job. I had what I would've called my dream job of dream jobs. I was working in the heart of Silicon Valley.

I was learning so fast, and I was working alongside and in powerful rooms with some of the most influential, innovative minds. Billionaires, futurists, innovative thinkers, and there was so much to this job I had that really did expand me. And though there came a time where behind the scenes I was finding that I was struggling with a lot of anxiety, I struggled to sleep.

I couldn't really digest my food, I found that I could never turn off. I would struggle to be present at family gatherings and with people I loved. And there came. A particular morning where I was doing my morning writing ritual, and I received a question that I had been avoiding asking myself, and the question was, what am I not willing to see?

And the truth that I wrote in my journal that day changed everything. It led me to make one of the most important decisions of my life. It led me to walk away from this dream job, and it truly was the gene keys and my rituals that really got me to have the courage, the clarity. And the confidence to truly make that choice.

And so in today's episode, I'm gonna be sharing with you that story and the truth that came through and what it led to. So for some context, I. I am really grateful this role that I had was so aligned with my vision. It gave me the opportunity to really integrate multiple parts of my background that I had been really wanting and at the time deeply desiring it incorporated my biology background and academia.

It honored my background in tech working for other companies in Silicon Valley. It honored my people skills and my business development background. It was in the wellness space. It was really solving a big problem that I was so curious about, and I was learning from people whose minds I found incredibly expansive.

And so I see, and this is an important part of what I really wanna set as the context for this episode, is I found in my journey that this role was a very important step and a very important growth opportunity for me. And there came a time though. Where it was time for me to leave. And I think for so many of us, we experience relationships, jobs, opportunities, clients experiences where it comes into our life and it really is part of expanding us and I.

Honoring our highest vision. But sometimes if we're not doing the work, if we're not staying in alignment with our truth, we can stay in things longer than we're meant to, and we can make things a lot harder on ourselves. We can burn ourselves out, deplete ourselves, exhaust us simply because our bodies and beings are trying to say to us, hello, we need you to make a shift.

We need you to make a pivot. We need you to follow your authentic path forward. And so. I honor that anywhere in your life that you're navigating right now, if there's some part of you that feels like something's just not working with flow, that there's joy, you're not experiencing, that your vitality is struggling, that this conversation may be an invitation for you to get curious, for you to explore without judgment, without a sense of like, oh, no urgency.

I've gotta fix everything tomorrow. It's really an invitation to just explore. What you may being called to see at this time and may being called to choose at this time and may being called to make a shift in your life towards. So for me, I didn't have some massive breakdown moment where suddenly it was dramatic and then I had to exit.

I really, it came from a deeply embodied, clear place, and when I look back in hindsight, I really see these micro moments where I was being shown my truth. And some of these examples are. I remember specifically one particular night I was in Vegas. We were there for a conference for the weekend and I was out with, again, sitting at a table with incredible, like a very powerful table, and I really honored that I was there.

I honored that I was having this evening. Yet in my truth, I remember a moment where I was looking around at this table and thinking inside of myself. Honestly, I appreciate this, but I'd rather be curled up on my couch with my partner. Reading a book with a cozy set of socks on and like a cup of tea.

There was those moments. There were the moments where I would wake up in the middle of the night, night after night at about three to 4:00 AM with a lot of anxiety. I would be sleeping, like sleep, talking basically. 'cause I was just so much in my mind that I couldn't turn off and I would go downstairs a lot of the time and just start typing away on my computer, just trying to.

Respond to emails. 'cause I felt like I just constantly had more demands that I could handle. Often coming my direction like it felt like there was just more and more and more coming my way and I was finding that it was taking me down that path of feeling really depleted a lot of the time. Then I would also find that I'll never forget a specific birthday party.

I went for a family member I love, and I remember I would be at this birthday party, I'm hugging someone I love, and then I would hear like the notifications from Slack and from my inbox going off of now more things I needed to respond to. And I would find that I would sit there talking to family members, but often find like in any little moment I was checking my phone or even if I wasn't.

Explicitly looking at my phone, I was thinking about my phone and constantly trying to ensure there wasn't something that I wasn't on top of. And what I got to with this was all of these examples are simply examples. You could just brush off. But over time they compound. Over time they were showing me.

That I was no longer living the life I truly wanted the life that was actually aligned with my highest values. I was finding that I was at a point where I had grown and I had experienced what I was there to experience in this job. I had gotten a lot of growth. I had experienced a lot of opportunity to learn, but there was a moment now where I was being shown.

That now I was, I was growing at a point that was not worth the sacrifice of my highest values, of what matters most to me, and that if I continued on this journey, even if I was learning, learning, learning, learning more, it actually wasn't in highest service of my vision. I'll never forget one particular morning where I was doing my writing, my morning writing ritual.

You can check out that ritual. It's episode three. I'll link it in the show notes. I was doing that ritual, which I had been doing for years, and this is one of the many reasons I love ritual, is I find not only do they ensure that I give my best energy to what matters most in my life, they keep me honest.

I think in this world we're living in, it's so important to ensure we have. Spaces and ways we support ourselves with staying honest with our authentic truth and voice. And so that particular morning I finally let myself ask a question that I had been avoiding for a few months. And that question is, what am I not willing to see?

And I'll never forget writing down, I don't love my job. And it was very clear. And I remember when I experienced it, I had full body truth bumps, what I call, it's like that feeling in your whole body. That to me is my full body. Yes. And my full body knowing. And the power I find is that when you see the truth, you can't unsee it.

And so when I saw that truth. It became very clear that there was a decision I was gonna need to be making and I didn't rush into it. I didn't do it again from some reactive place. I just allowed myself to feel this truth, honor this truth, and get curious. Then I remember I. Looking at, 'cause I had been consistently checking out my gene keys for some time at that point.

And I remember looking at my gene keys as I always did, and in particular, looking at my mission code, what I call your mission code. And my mission code is Gene Key 14. The gift is competence and the shadow is compromise. And I remember when I was looking at my Jean Key, I couldn't, it gave me further clarity that what was happening was I was in my shadow of compromise.

I was getting the success, I was being shown a successful, I was receiving recognition and validation, and so much glitz and glam on the outside. That was really activating my ego to feel important and feel like I mattered. Yet in truth, I was compromising what matters most to me. I. And that I was not giving my competence to my unique path.

I was giving my competence to a path that's most likely just aligned for somebody else. It's not my authentic path. And so it was through that process that I got the clarity, and ultimately through that process, I was able to see very. Specifically that it was time for me to make what wasn't an easy decision, but to make the most aligned decision for me.

And that was to leave that job. And again, I really wanna re reiterate. It was such an interesting time because to so many other people, it didn't make sense why I was making that choice. But in my body, in my being, I knew, and I love to always honor that. What was a key element to this was I wasn't just running away.

From something. It wasn't just because it was hard. It wasn't just because of anything like that. It was really from an energy of, I knew I was being called forward into a different path and sometimes, and, and I, I had a feeling I knew that I was meant to be an entrepreneur. I knew that it was time that I really honored that path of entrepreneurship that I'd been feeling called into for some time.

And no, I did not have every single building block of what that next vision would be. About. And I think that's really important to name. 'cause I think oftentimes we're called into a next path and we have to know our vision for it. We have to know our intention. I feel about what we're going into next, but we don't have to have every single part of the path mapped out before we exit.

And I think I just wanna really bring that forward because if there's any area of your life where you feel that, I feel like people can hold on again too long. And I've seen this so much with clients where we can hold on too long to things that don't serve our highest path. Because we are one, either not allowing ourselves to see that it's not aligned fully.

Two, it's because we fear that we have to perfectionist our way before we make a choice, right? We like think we need to have the entire next path mapped out before we make the bold move and go into what's next. And three, because we. We can't honor that. Sometimes the in-between is where the greatest magic lives, and sometimes you have to be willing to not know everything so you can actually be in that.

What I love to think of as the fertile void space where then you actually unlock your most authentic path, which in our world is often something that's never fully been seen before. I think for so many of you who listen to my podcast. Something that really is huge is most of us are paving unique paths forward.

Most of us don't have another person who is giving us a perfect blueprint for what we're here to do. That's why I love to have tools like the gene keys 'cause I'm not here to say, here's one strategy for success. Here's one way you're supposed to be successful. Instead, my deepest joy and curiosity.

Through exploring, having data that supports you with getting honest with yourself, you crafting what is your unique, authentic path forward. And so what I wanna just give as my invitation for you in this particular episode to really feel into, to write down, to connect with is are you giving your best energy to what matters most to you?

Are you giving your best energy to what matters most to you? And I wanna invite you to just inhale and feel this for a moment, to really invite yourself, to get curious in your body how that question lands, how it feels, and to just be with it to see what comes through. Because what I find over and over again is one question can change our life.

One question, if we're really willing to be honest, can be the thing that really unlocks even more joy, even more ease, even more flow in our lives. And so if you're at a place where you would love support with getting really clear, I. On your authentic path, there's something in your life that's filling off.

There's something where you're going, I've gotten a lot of success. I have a lot going on that's working for me, but I still just feel like things are, I'm efforting more than I should be. I'm trying to decide if I should do this strategy or that strategy. You're finding that you're at a place where you're overthinking a lot, or if things are just not flowing as well as, you know.

They're meant to be. I would love to invite you to do an Illuminate experience with me. This is my signature space where we can really activate. Your most authentic path of how you uniquely came here to live and to lead. And it would be an honor to walk with you in that journey. And more than anything, I just wanna take a moment to say thank you so much for tuning into this episode, for being you, for being here, for being someone who's curious, who's consistently thinking outside the norms and the box.
