Speaker:[Music]
Speaker:Jonathan Hart and Maddie with no last name. I didn't get your last name so.
Speaker:That's some well and not even well and.
Speaker:Okay, well I was going to call you Maddie with no last name but Maddie works just fine.
Speaker:Jonathan and Maddie, thank you so much for taking the time.
Speaker:You recently went to the US Open.
Speaker:Today we're posting this. It is the Men's and Women's Quarter Final Day.
Speaker:But you guys were there for Arthur Ash Kids Day and kind of a couple of the days before that.
Speaker:Jonathan, start us off. Tell us why you're making this trip.
Speaker:Who is Coach Wink as well?
Speaker:Well, first of all, for all of you started.
Speaker:We're out here on the practice court. We're one of my top players.
Speaker:Coach Kotlin, okay. We're out here working hard.
Speaker:I'm in Cincinnati in two days to play.
Speaker:So we're out here getting it. That's the whole purpose of this.
Speaker:And yes, this is our ninth year. This is the tribute to Coach Wink.
Speaker:It was his idea. I decided to keep it going and we're going to keep the dream
Speaker:in the tradition moving forward.
Speaker:So next year will be our 10 year anniversary.
Speaker:We're going crazy.
Speaker:But it was fantastic and I must say by far this was our best year.
Speaker:Five far it was our best year.
Speaker:We're out there Maddie.
Speaker:Um, I completely agree.
Speaker:My favorite like memories from the trip was definitely playing the other academy
Speaker:because we had never done that before.
Speaker:And just like getting to see New York tennis and Atlanta tennis like hung together and just have like a beautiful
Speaker:collaboration.
Speaker:Hold up, hold up. I got to erupt you there.
Speaker:They were fantastic. Our kids showed out.
Speaker:You know how you got a towel, no young display.
Speaker:I mean, even the little kids, they were finishing over their shoulder.
Speaker:They were running a live feed movie.
Speaker:Man, it was it was it was incredible.
Speaker:Incredible.
Speaker:Yeah. And like I just love seeing tennis.
Speaker:We love to hit the ball and seeing all the professionals at kids day and on the practice
Speaker:courts and being able to like ask some questions and interact with them.
Speaker:It was really just really inspiring because I know that's where I want to be very soon.
Speaker:And so seeing that just made me want to work harder and just like keep getting at it.
Speaker:And it was great. It was great.
Speaker:Talk all day. What else you want to ask us?
Speaker:I'm sure well, I'm curious.
Speaker:Did you get to meet anybody in person meeting the Coco Goffs of the world or any of the professional players?
Speaker:Do you get to actually shake any hands?
Speaker:Yes. So on, I think it was Arthur Ash kids today.
Speaker:I got to we did play the pro.
Speaker:And so we got to hit with curvy.
Speaker:curvy the girl from Washington DC and we got to interact and talk with her and hit with her.
Speaker:And she was really she was really she was very personable and very welcoming and just very warm.
Speaker:And it was just a nice interaction to see that even though they're professionals and we see them in like
Speaker:when we put them on this high pedestal, they're still like people.
Speaker:They're still people and they have personality and they have interest in like it was just really
Speaker:good to see that. Okay, I got to interject again.
Speaker:When when close wings was alive and last time,
Speaker:trip he went on.
Speaker:Laravie and her mom did a personal interview with her.
Speaker:Maddie didn't go that time.
Speaker:Okay. And she explained the mom explained how it is to have a kid that's going in the pro tennis.
Speaker:He had just won the Wembleton Juniors and had a wild party to the year itself.
Speaker:But she won it since the natties.
Speaker:She went two rounds and since the natties.
Speaker:And she lost in the third set real close match in the open.
Speaker:So Clarifie's on her way.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:That was really good.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:Really good.
Speaker:I love it.
Speaker:And so you guys go up.
Speaker:How does all this work?
Speaker:Coach Hart.
Speaker:So how do you get the money?
Speaker:You get the sponsors?
Speaker:What does all that look like for you?
Speaker:Because right now we start promoting again for 2026, right?
Speaker:Absolutely.
Speaker:And I'm sure we're going to do it better.
Speaker:Okay, but I must give props to tennis players.
Speaker:And to the city of Atlanta.
Speaker:Four to five council people came on board that last week.
Speaker:I mean, they hit bam, bam, bam, bam, which put us over the top.
Speaker:I'm not saying we would not have made it because of that.
Speaker:But just like people like go tennis or people like aging,
Speaker:you know, people like south.
Speaker:Full of tennis.
Speaker:They also donated, you know, big time.
Speaker:So that's how we do it.
Speaker:But mostly the teller tools is tennis player.
Speaker:We're a soul player.
Speaker:We're in a number one sitting in the nation for tennis
Speaker:and they support tennis.
Speaker:So yeah, that's how it's done.
Speaker:Okay. Fantastic.
Speaker:Well, I want to ask one simple thing,
Speaker:which is, is there anything else either of you want to share?
Speaker:Because it's a fantastic event.
Speaker:Go tennis is honored to be a part of it.
Speaker:We love we take care of your shirts every year
Speaker:and help promote.
Speaker:And we keep a couple of shirts for ourselves.
Speaker:And we very much enjoy wearing those around as well.
Speaker:And our son, my son with my wife, Giovanni, he's got the little kid,
Speaker:you know, you see the little two-year-old in the shirt.
Speaker:And it's somehow infinitely cuter in that way.
Speaker:But we love being a part of this event
Speaker:and helping with the coach, Winx, kids, trip every year.
Speaker:So any last words, anything else you'd like to share
Speaker:about the event or about next year?
Speaker:Maddie, I'll let you go first.
Speaker:Yeah, I just wanted to like highlight the group of kids that went,
Speaker:the group, the environment, the people,
Speaker:like the energy is what really made the trip how special it was,
Speaker:how special it is.
Speaker:And I'm just so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to do it.
Speaker:However many years we're continuing to.
Speaker:And I'm just glad that, oh, it was my birthday.
Speaker:It was my birthday on the, on the, on the, on the 25th.
Speaker:So the last day and they raped the group.
Speaker:And coach hard made me feel very special.
Speaker:And like it was, it was just, I'm so.
Speaker:Almost a teacher.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Like everything was great.
Speaker:I got to see Venus playing on my birthday.
Speaker:They, we had, I had ice cream and cake and, and it was just,
Speaker:that's where they ever, yes.
Speaker:Happy birthday. That's fantastic.
Speaker:Thank you.
Speaker:On, on the last few things I want to say is number one,
Speaker:we all got it, man.
Speaker:You blew us away with the T-shirt.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:You know, when everybody says, oh my god, this is the often chain.
Speaker:It's not a person is dead.
Speaker:It not have something positive to say about those T-shirts.
Speaker:I'm saying that really said it off.
Speaker:That was the best T-shirts we've ever had.
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:You know, this is our ninth time going, you know, and that,
Speaker:it was just, and now you, you hit it at a home run with that.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:Number two, I was really happy how they got along.
Speaker:Some of the games they played on the bus.
Speaker:I think that was pretty good.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:That was really pretty good.
Speaker:That they were playing a lot of games on the bus.
Speaker:It would have you.
Speaker:And, and another big thing is, we're just looking really forward.
Speaker:And, Yonix wants to partner with us.
Speaker:Okay. They were there.
Speaker:They want to partner with us.
Speaker:And I do want to say we're just so excited and curious
Speaker:about the 10-year anniversary.
