Unknown:

Hey, I'm Paige Killian, founder and CEO of everything

Unknown:

with style. I've built a business helping busy moms of

Unknown:

littles get organized in three simple steps. Like many of my

Unknown:

clients, I love being a mom. And I also desire more. If you've

Unknown:

ever felt that stirring in your heart, that whisper or really

Unknown:

loud voice that keeps you up at night, then you are in the right

Unknown:

place. Because this is not a solo mission. Whether you're a

Unknown:

little curious or totally ready to be a mom, boss and use your

Unknown:

God given gifts to serve others step into your calling, turn

Unknown:

your passions into purpose, and still make it to the carpool

Unknown:

line on time, then girlfriend, it's time to pivot. I've got you

Unknown:

now let's get started.

Unknown:

Hey, hey, hey, welcome back to another episode of the time to

Unknown:

pivot podcast. It is middle of the afternoon. And so I feel

Unknown:

like actually had two cups of coffee today. That doesn't

Unknown:

happen usually. But I feel like I'm a little more awake than an

Unknown:

early morning podcast recording. Is it Monday morning for you?

Unknown:

Are you listening? Like my mom? Hey, Mom, I know you're

Unknown:

listening on the way to work on a Monday morning. It's this

Unknown:

little week, food for thought for you. If so, thank you for

Unknown:

being here. And I hope you have a great day at work today. If

Unknown:

you are joining in the middle of an afternoon, as I am recording

Unknown:

this, I want you to know that sometimes this time of the day

Unknown:

has given us a little extra time to play something out in our

Unknown:

heads to really think it through a little bit more full

Unknown:

disclosure. I recorded this episode earlier this morning.

Unknown:

And then I ended up doing a few different things. I had a little

Unknown:

zoom meeting for a website update thing I'm working on. I

Unknown:

had a lunch with some girlfriends of mine, which by

Unknown:

the way, if it's been a minute, since you've scheduled a lunch

Unknown:

with your girlfriends, put it on the calendar and make it happen

Unknown:

because I honestly feel like we are better moms, we are better

Unknown:

wives, we're better business owners if that's your jam. We're

Unknown:

better in a lot of ways if we can make that time to cultivate

Unknown:

relationships that are important to us. So as I'm sitting there

Unknown:

at the lunch table, I'm thinking about the episode that I

Unknown:

recorded earlier in the day that was supposed to go out today.

Unknown:

And I just thought, I don't feel like I really got the message

Unknown:

done. Right? I don't I don't really feel like I delivered

Unknown:

that message in the way that I wanted to. So I had a little

Unknown:

extra time to think it over. And I thought I'm gonna go home

Unknown:

after I pick the kids up from carpool. And I'm going to

Unknown:

rerecord this episode. And the reason I'm telling you all of

Unknown:

that is because there may be something in your life that you

Unknown:

decide you're going to put effort and energy into. And then

Unknown:

it turns out along the way, or maybe even hours later, or maybe

Unknown:

even weeks later, you look back on that thing that you did. And

Unknown:

you think I think I could have done that a little bit better. I

Unknown:

think I could have been more concise, or I think I could have

Unknown:

maybe laser focused a little bit more on the energy and effort I

Unknown:

was putting into this thing and I could have had better results.

Unknown:

Okay, look, coulda, shoulda, woulda, but the truth is, if you

Unknown:

have the opportunity to reflect on something, and you feel like

Unknown:

you know what? I'm gonna give it another go. I wanted to say

Unknown:

first of all, I don't think there's anything wrong with

Unknown:

that. I think that's great. We don't always have the luxury of

Unknown:

starting over or doing things over. I remember I did an

Unknown:

episode on the monster organization motivation podcast

Unknown:

a while back where I talked about it never being too late

Unknown:

for a redo. There's always a chance to go back and

Unknown:

reformulate and rethink and not kind of thing. We can't always

Unknown:

was that saying there's no there's only one chance to make

Unknown:

a first impression or something along those lines. But here's

Unknown:

the thing, if we are working on something, and we're putting the

Unknown:

effort, the energy, sometimes even the time and the money into

Unknown:

something, and it's not turning out quite right, sometimes.

Unknown:

That's where the lesson lies. And some of the things that I

Unknown:

said on an earlier episode attempt this morning. Some of

Unknown:

the things were really good, but then some of the things I don't

Unknown:

really feel like I spelled them out correctly, or I felt like I

Unknown:

wasn't really maybe giving the extra stuff forte that needed to

Unknown:

be there for this thing. And I just want to remind you that

Unknown:

nothing in this life is certain. I mean, they say death and

Unknown:

taxes, but I feel like some people don't even pay taxes. I

Unknown:

mean, really, truly, there are not a lot of things in this life

Unknown:

that are certain. I mean, listen, tell that to my husband,

Unknown:

who when he goes in to try to do the massage, one might think

Unknown:

it's pretty certain that, you know, that's gonna play out and

Unknown:

one thing leads to another and you know, what's gonna happen,

Unknown:

okay, I love I'm here for a massage. I appreciate that

Unknown:

effort. I want to reward that behavior. But it's not a

Unknown:

guarantee, it is not certain. But you know what, that never

Unknown:

stops him from trying. And I appreciate that. And I am

Unknown:

curious what is going on in your life these days, where you might

Unknown:

be not even trying because you feel like it's not a done deal.

Unknown:

It's not certain, because we might be missing amazing

Unknown:

blessings or opportunities or possibilities that could happen

Unknown:

with something that go even better than we could have

Unknown:

imagined. Because we're scared or there's mom, Gil, or we got

Unknown:

that impostor syndrome thing going on, or self doubt. We just

Unknown:

don't know all the howls and how to get things to work out,

Unknown:

right. And so we just don't even try. A lot of my organizing

Unknown:

clients that I work with, will feel that paralysis by analysis,

Unknown:

because they're like, Man, I see things on Pinterest, I go to my

Unknown:

friend's house and I see stuff, I'll go to The Container Store,

Unknown:

wherever. And I'll see how other people have done things. And I

Unknown:

just feel like there's so many options, that I get really

Unknown:

overwhelmed. And I don't know what to do in my space. And then

Unknown:

I just let it get disorganized. And it goes on and on and on for

Unknown:

too long. And it gets me stressed out and I feel

Unknown:

frustrated. And then I yell at my kids, which is really not

Unknown:

even necessary, because it's not their fault, because I need to

Unknown:

be putting in the organization on the front end in order for

Unknown:

them to keep up with it. And it snowballs into this big huge

Unknown:

thing. So then I won't even start trying to get organized.

Unknown:

And that's a lot of times when I'm being called to come in,

Unknown:

because they're outsourcing and they're like, I'm at this place

Unknown:

where I don't even know how to do it. I don't even want to try,

Unknown:

I need somebody else to come in and help me do it or completely

Unknown:

do it for me. And I respect that because there are some things

Unknown:

that are not worth our time and energy, if someone else could be

Unknown:

doing this better. But let's talk about something that you

Unknown:

are meant to do these days, you might be thinking about

Unknown:

something that's on your heart that keeps coming out for you.

Unknown:

And you think I believe that maybe this is something I need

Unknown:

to try. But it's not certain. And I'm afraid to do it. Or like

Unknown:

I said, whatever it is, I have mom guilt around not doing it

Unknown:

because I feel like I should be focused on other things with the

Unknown:

kids or I don't who am I to do something that imposter syndrome

Unknown:

kicks in? And you're like, what there are other people that are

Unknown:

doing this better? Like why should I even try, you should

Unknown:

try. And I'm going to tell you why you have been given a set of

Unknown:

gifts. And if you were not getting that overwhelming sense

Unknown:

that you need to do this thing, then that's not meant for you.

Unknown:

But if you are, it's time for you to be proactive and take

Unknown:

action. I talked on a recent episode about three steps to get

Unknown:

unstuck and feel more fulfilled. And I talk about the different

Unknown:

things that we can do to move the ball forward. I've talked

Unknown:

about my three E's philosophy, where originally in my

Unknown:

kindergarten class, I would give the kids three simple steps to

Unknown:

move the ball forward on setting goals in the classroom and

Unknown:

accomplishing them. But it wasn't overwhelming. And it

Unknown:

wasn't mega stressful, because we kept it really simple. Those

Unknown:

three simple steps. And once we did those, we would do the next

Unknown:

three steps. And then whenever I started organizing for my

Unknown:

clients, they would be totally capable of handling more than

Unknown:

three steps. But because there were so many other things on

Unknown:

their hearts, and their minds and their, you know, brains were

Unknown:

going in so many different directions. It was really nice

Unknown:

to have things simplified to three simple steps, right? Okay.

Unknown:

So if you're at a place now, where you're feeling like, Okay,

Unknown:

I have established that I want to work on this thing. But I

Unknown:

keep stopping that forward momentum, because I don't know

Unknown:

if it's gonna work out. It's not a certain thing. And I

Unknown:

understand what that's like, because I remember when the

Unknown:

pandemic hit and I had started this organizing business and

Unknown:

then I couldn't go in people's homes. I was like, What the heck

Unknown:

am I gonna do? I mean, talk about panic setting in I was

Unknown:

like, everything that I just worked for is going to be gone.

Unknown:

All these people are going to forget about me because who

Unknown:

knows how long this pandemic is going to last boy boy, we had no

Unknown:

idea I think originally they said like two weeks. Oh, Oh my

Unknown:

goodness, none of us really knew what was happening those days.

Unknown:

And I just thought, Okay, if it's that amount of time, or if

Unknown:

it's way longer, which we know, ended up being way longer there

Unknown:

to forget about me, nobody's going to remember to call page

Unknown:

if they need to get organized, nobody's gonna think of me,

Unknown:

because they need to get organized right now. And I can't

Unknown:

be there to be in their homes. So I did that lightning fast

Unknown:

pivot. And I was like, alright, well, I don't know anything

Unknown:

really about podcasting, other than the fact that I listened to

Unknown:

it. So that is definitely an uncertain thing. But I knew I

Unknown:

needed to try. Because I didn't know another avenue of getting

Unknown:

to those people, retaining them as customers and also building

Unknown:

up the possibility of connecting with new customers and clients.

Unknown:

I just, I didn't know what to do. And nothing was certain

Unknown:

during that time, don't you remember? Don't think about it

Unknown:

too hard. It might send you into a downhill spiral. It's crazy

Unknown:

time. I was freaking out. And I don't know where you were during

Unknown:

that time. But maybe there was something that you were working

Unknown:

on to. And then suddenly we're like, what do we do? So I

Unknown:

started thinking this morning, I'm in the shower, which look,

Unknown:

that doesn't happen very often. Okay, so I got my shower. And I

Unknown:

was doing all the thinking that's where I do a lot of good

Unknown:

thinking that and driving. And I was listening to Stephen

Unknown:

Bartlett. If you don't know you should check them out. If you

Unknown:

are a podcast lover, even if you're not welcome to the

Unknown:

podcast world get on the bandwagon. I absolutely love him

Unknown:

Diary of a CEO with Stephen Bartlett. I love his interviews.

Unknown:

I love the people he has on. So in the shower today, I was

Unknown:

listening to an episode that he did with Harley. Let's see

Unknown:

Finkelstein or Finkelstein, I don't know I'm, I'm like

Unknown:

immediately thinking back to the early grammar days of two vowels

Unknown:

go walking. The first one does the talking. I think it's E I

Unknown:

stop. So is that Oh, no. Steen Finkelstein, I'm gonna guess

Unknown:

Finkelstein? I don't know. Sorry, Harley. But the point is,

Unknown:

he is the president of Shopify. And he was talking while I was

Unknown:

in the shower. He was talking about if you have this idea,

Unknown:

even if it's bleeding, think back on it, give it a little

Unknown:

thought. And try it. What's the harm in trying it? Honestly, he

Unknown:

was talking about how starting a business these days is simpler

Unknown:

than ever, it could be less than two cups of coffee at Starbucks

Unknown:

is what he said in the interview, which really puts it

Unknown:

into perspective, like how many of us swing by a coffee shop and

Unknown:

pick that up two of those. If we just withheld those two days of

Unknown:

coffee and made it at home, and we put that money into starting

Unknown:

a business? Give it a try? What's the harm in that? So I

Unknown:

just want you to know that there are so many things in life that

Unknown:

are uncertain. And if you look at the amazing creations all

Unknown:

around us, tech stuff that makes our life easier. Oh, no

Unknown:

furniture. I mean, I'm sleeping in a bed that I find very

Unknown:

comfortable. Somebody had to have that idea of how to design

Unknown:

that mattress and get a bed frame on it. And put, you know,

Unknown:

a headboard and footboard. I'm just pulling this out of nowhere

Unknown:

right now, this example because I'm recording this episode in my

Unknown:

bedroom. So I'm thinking about the bed, something that I really

Unknown:

love and appreciate. And I use every single day, my bed,

Unknown:

somebody had to come up with the creation for that and the design

Unknown:

of that, right? And what if that person was like, but it's not a

Unknown:

certainty. It's not something that I know that people will

Unknown:

invest in a higher, more expensive mattress, because what

Unknown:

if somebody wants it to be more economical, you know what I'm

Unknown:

just not going to try, I'm not going to do it. Because there's

Unknown:

other people that have come up with mattresses, and bed frames

Unknown:

and headboards, and footboards. And it's not certain that I'm

Unknown:

going to do well in this industry, I'm just I'm not going

Unknown:

to try. I suggest we do not lean into that part of us the

Unknown:

doubting part of us. Instead, we rely on the fact that not a lot

Unknown:

of things are certain. And that does not mean that those things

Unknown:

don't have really great value, and really significant impact on

Unknown:

people's lives. And if those people didn't act on those

Unknown:

things and do those things, then that would be a missed

Unknown:

opportunity. And that would also not allow for other people who

Unknown:

could have used that product or that service to benefit from it.

Unknown:

Imagine what I just talked about those two random examples that

Unknown:

I've just come up came up with on the fly the bed, how valuable

Unknown:

is it to have a great night's sleep? How valuable is it to the

Unknown:

way that your next day is going to play out? My mom was in town

Unknown:

recently And we were talking about how she slept really well

Unknown:

on the guest bed. And she said, I think it might be time that I

Unknown:

invest in a new mattress because I am not sleeping so well

Unknown:

lately. And she's really done a great job of looking at her diet

Unknown:

really exercising well and making that consistent in her

Unknown:

life. So if she's not getting good sleep, it probably doesn't

Unknown:

have to do with those things, it probably has to do with the

Unknown:

mattress that she's had for many, many years. And it's time

Unknown:

to do an upgrade. So imagine the person who created whatever

Unknown:

mattress or springs or whatever kind of design and support that

Unknown:

they're going to put into this mattress that my mom is going to

Unknown:

purchase. Imagine if that person was like, it's going to be too

Unknown:

hard. Or what if somebody has done better than me, I'm not

Unknown:

going to try. And then my mom doesn't get the blessing of

Unknown:

having a great night's sleep that's going to filter into how

Unknown:

she feels for the rest of the day and the week and how it's

Unknown:

gonna end up affecting her posture and all that kind of

Unknown:

stuff moving forward. What about if I decided that the tech was

Unknown:

too overwhelming, and I was never going to start a podcast,

Unknown:

and it kept me stuck. And I had this thought and feeling that I

Unknown:

needed to pivot and I needed to do something to keep my business

Unknown:

afloat, and to stay relevant with people. But there were so

Unknown:

many other podcasters, who knew more about tech, or who knew

Unknown:

more about podcasting. So you know what, I'm just or who knew

Unknown:

more about organizing, there are plenty of organizers that have

Unknown:

been around long before me. And what if I just thought, oh,

Unknown:

gosh, nobody's going to be interested in my three simple

Unknown:

steps. Because there's other people who are doing great

Unknown:

things in seven or eight steps or 10 steps, or even like, a

Unknown:

isn't that like a 12 step program? I mean, what are people

Unknown:

going to think if I come out with this three step strategy?

Unknown:

Are they going to be like, ah, that is ridiculous. There's so

Unknown:

many moving parts, how could we possibly get it done in three

Unknown:

simple steps? That's false advertising? What if I held on

Unknown:

to all of those things that came up for me for sure, not going to

Unknown:

lie, I definitely thought all of those things. And what if I just

Unknown:

said, it's not certain. I don't know how this is going to play

Unknown:

out. And I'm not going to try.

Unknown:

I would have missed out on tons of blessings. And I also really

Unknown:

would have missed out on the fun and excitement and joy that has

Unknown:

come from this podcast and connecting with other people and

Unknown:

showing up to serve them in another way. If I can't be

Unknown:

physically in their home to help them get organized. I would have

Unknown:

missed all that. Because I failed to try. A quick reminder,

Unknown:

you can now get my book in four different ways. Head over to

Unknown:

Amazon and search up I've got you girlfriend, the subtitle is

Unknown:

why getting organized and living this mom life is not a solo

Unknown:

mission. You can find it there on ereader. That's through the

Unknown:

Kindle app, paperback, hardcover, and the audiobook. So

Unknown:

if you're enjoying this podcast, I have a feeling you may love

Unknown:

the audio book. Again. It's called I've got you girlfriend,

Unknown:

why getting organized and living this mom life is not a solo

Unknown:

mission. Thanks so much for making it a best seller. And

Unknown:

back to the show. Now with the training needs to be a certain

Unknown:

level of researching, you want to make sure what you're doing

Unknown:

is something that people might be interested in, right? You

Unknown:

don't just want to be like, hey, to try to do it. You know what I

Unknown:

told you it was the end of the day. So I don't even know if I

Unknown:

can come up with something but something ridiculous. That makes

Unknown:

no sense. Yeah, I'm gonna come up with this thing. And I'm not

Unknown:

going to ask anybody about it. I just, I'm just gonna put it out

Unknown:

there and see what happens. I mean, chances are somebody might

Unknown:

be interested in that product or service. But if there hasn't

Unknown:

been a good amount of research behind it, and you don't know if

Unknown:

it's actually needed, and you haven't gotten any feedback from

Unknown:

anybody, maybe pump the brakes. But other than that, give it a

Unknown:

try. What's the harm in giving it a try? Think about your

Unknown:

financial situation. Think about what you are able to put toward

Unknown:

this. I don't know business venture or even if it listen, it

Unknown:

doesn't even have to be a business. If you listen to these

Unknown:

episodes, and you're like Paige, you keep talking about something

Unknown:

that I maybe might be interested in, in a business sense or

Unknown:

something that I need to financially contribute. This can

Unknown:

be something that you're trying to work on in your home that

Unknown:

you're trying to better that you are committed to focusing on

Unknown:

because you want it to grow or develop. This could be a hobby

Unknown:

that you have, that you never need to get any money from. But

Unknown:

it's something that you really want to hone your craft you

Unknown:

really want to work on it. You want to give it some time and

Unknown:

energy and maybe a little bit of money toward it because of is

Unknown:

important to you. Maybe that's what you're thinking about these

Unknown:

days, that is equally if not more important, we need to serve

Unknown:

ourselves in order to show up for other people, I truly

Unknown:

believe that. So if that's something that is on your heart

Unknown:

and mind these days, and you're like, but you know what, I don't

Unknown:

know, like, let's say, guitar, I don't know, if I'm going to be

Unknown:

any good at it. I don't know, if I'm pickleball, everybody's

Unknown:

doing pickleball these days, I don't know if I'm going to be

Unknown:

any good at that. I don't know, well, nothing is certain, you

Unknown:

might not be good at it, you might be terrible at it. But you

Unknown:

also might have a lot of fun. You also might find that you're

Unknown:

looking forward to it each week, you also might find that you end

Unknown:

up making great relationships, and you're cracking up, and

Unknown:

you're burning all of these extra calories while you're

Unknown:

laughing. Because you are having the time of your life totally

Unknown:

being terrible at pickleball. But you are having so much fun,

Unknown:

you and this new friend, maybe that you met, you guys are

Unknown:

having such a great time? Well, I would think that that is very

Unknown:

successful. So you most certainly may not be amazing at

Unknown:

it, you most certainly may never make any money at it. But are

Unknown:

you having a good time? Are you getting a little energy burned

Unknown:

off? Or are you maybe creating relationships with people that

Unknown:

you're doing this with, or you may be getting some great

Unknown:

exercise going on, and you're starting to look and feel better

Unknown:

about yourself? Well, that is amazing. And that is worth it.

Unknown:

And you know what's interesting about that, if you do try

Unknown:

something like that, even if it's not a big huge success in

Unknown:

the way that you thought it was gonna be, but you do start to

Unknown:

find some fun in it. And you do start to see some blessings that

Unknown:

maybe you weren't expecting, guess what can then happen. You

Unknown:

could absolutely double down on this and be like, You know what,

Unknown:

I have this newfound confidence of trying something new. Because

Unknown:

maybe that didn't work out exactly the way I hoped. But I'm

Unknown:

having such a good time. And I'm feeling pretty confident about

Unknown:

trying new things. I'm going to try something else that's new,

Unknown:

whether it's a hobby, or you are going to try and find something

Unknown:

that you want to sink your time and effort and energy into and

Unknown:

maybe a little bit of money to maybe a lot of money. Maybe you

Unknown:

have figured out something that you feel like would be so

Unknown:

beneficial to somebody. And you're now at that place where

Unknown:

you're like, Okay, this is the moment, I need to fork over some

Unknown:

serious cash, even though this may not be something certain.

Unknown:

But I'm going to trust that there's some kind of plan here

Unknown:

and this thing keeps coming up for me and I'm gonna give it a

Unknown:

try. And what is the harm in trying? Because even if you

Unknown:

don't do well, you could end up finding massive blessings along

Unknown:

the way in the lessons you're learning and again, take those

Unknown:

and put them toward the next thing. Nothing is certain try

Unknown:

anyway. You never know what could come of it. I have to tell

Unknown:

you I'm in the middle of something right now that I'm

Unknown:

really mulling over didn't even know if I was going to say

Unknown:

something about this because my incredible team at the podcast

Unknown:

boutique who helps me put together my podcasts week after

Unknown:

week. They also did an insanely amazing job shout out to Liam on

Unknown:

my audiobook getting my book actually on audiobook recorded

Unknown:

and edited beautifully and now it's on Amazon and you can get

Unknown:

that I also work with them on my YouTube channel and not for lack

Unknown:

of trying they have done a great job but for whatever reason the

Unknown:

YouTube channel has not taken off and less than maybe it's

Unknown:

because part of me felt like it needed to have the kind of

Unknown:

success that the moms organization motivation podcast

Unknown:

had or even this podcast I started the time to pivot

Unknown:

podcast totally feeling like you know what I have this new

Unknown:

thought on my heart I feel like I need to go in this different

Unknown:

direction i Nothing is certain I'm gonna try anyway and I'm

Unknown:

gonna lean into it. But I had that in the back of my mind I

Unknown:

was like this is gonna be a total fail like this could

Unknown:

really be something that tanks because I did this other thing

Unknown:

and it went so well and like what if I have these great

Unknown:

expectations and that doesn't work out because what it ended

Unknown:

up within the first Gosh, let's see what there were some crazy

Unknown:

things that happened was like I want to say it was in the first

Unknown:

two days. It ended up making it into the charts. Yeah, it got on

Unknown:

the in the US charts. Amazing. did not think that was going to

Unknown:

happen especially with the category that I was in with some

Unknown:

big heavy hitters. Additionally, after that, I found out that it

Unknown:

is ranked in the top 10% of podcasts globally. Okay, that's

Unknown:

incredible. Didn't think that that was like in the first two

Unknown:

weeks or something crazy. As of the time to pivot podcasts

Unknown:

coming out amazing, right? And then the kind of tapered off a

Unknown:

little kind of plateaued a little bit in these early weeks.

Unknown:

And I'm hoping with that consistency, because I have

Unknown:

learned a lot of lessons from the other podcast, that I can

Unknown:

apply those two, this one, and I can not worry so much about the

Unknown:

charts, or about where it falls in the podcasting lineup against

Unknown:

other people, I just have to think about whether or not this

Unknown:

is being something that's well received and inspiring other

Unknown:

people motivating other people. Can I just tell you, not only

Unknown:

have I been so grateful for some of these amazing reviews that

Unknown:

are being posted, but I have gotten so many text messages

Unknown:

from people saying, oh, my gosh, page, that thing that you talked

Unknown:

about on that episode. That's how I've been feeling. That's

Unknown:

exactly what's been going through my mind. And I just

Unknown:

thought I was crazy. And then other people start telling me

Unknown:

about something that they had heard on one of my other podcast

Unknown:

episodes, and then I said something similar. And it landed

Unknown:

differently on this one, because they're at a different time in

Unknown:

their life, a different season in their life, we know,

Unknown:

especially if you're a mom, like you know those seasons. It's

Unknown:

like a roller coaster, sometimes, the ups and the

Unknown:

downs, oh my goodness, I want to learning all those lessons along

Unknown:

the way. And sometimes we're hearing something for the second

Unknown:

or the third time. And that's when it takes. And that's when

Unknown:

we're like,

Unknown:

oh my gosh, I heard you say this before. And now it makes sense.

Unknown:

Now it's clicking, or it's something I've been thinking

Unknown:

about. And now I'm hearing it for the third time. And now I

Unknown:

feel like, okay, maybe it's not certain. And I don't know what's

Unknown:

going to happen. But it's time to try. So I just want you to

Unknown:

know that if there's something that is brewing, there's a

Unknown:

reason for it talks about on a recent episode feeling called

Unknown:

you are capable, if you are being called to do these things,

Unknown:

I don't think God will put these things in our heart, if we're

Unknown:

not capable of doing it, it might not look like how we

Unknown:

thought it was going to, it might take some other shape and

Unknown:

form. Like I started talking about my YouTube channel, I took

Unknown:

a little break for a little while. Because I don't know, if

Unknown:

I just have those great expectations, the podcast really

Unknown:

took off. So I hope that the YouTube video would wasn't my

Unknown:

YouTube channel, it's like, I would get some views. And then

Unknown:

on some of them, they would be like way more than the others.

Unknown:

And I just thought, you know, I've committed to this, I've put

Unknown:

in the time and effort. And if I'm not seeing the kind of

Unknown:

results that I want to see from it, I can always push pause,

Unknown:

which is where I'm at right now I'm temporarily pushing pause,

Unknown:

I'm not hanging up my hat because I know that there's some

Unknown:

value in it, I just need to do more work and figure out what it

Unknown:

is that I can do to make that better. Maybe that needs a good

Unknown:

pivot, right? Because that's kind of the name of the game.

Unknown:

This has been a place in my life where I'm feeling like, Oh, my

Unknown:

goodness, I'm gonna commit to these things. I'm going to set

Unknown:

these expectations. But if it doesn't work, I need to be

Unknown:

willing to pivot. And I'm in the middle of that right now with

Unknown:

the YouTube channel. And that's okay. I'm trying to work it out.

Unknown:

I want to try. If it doesn't work, I want to step back for a

Unknown:

second, I want to reassess it. I want to figure out why do I

Unknown:

think this is working? Why is it maybe not working? Should we

Unknown:

revamp some things? And we're always a work in progress.

Unknown:

What's going on for you right now that you are thinking, I

Unknown:

tried this thing didn't quite land the way I wanted. I'm in a

Unknown:

place of transition, I need to make the pivot. I'm scared. I'm

Unknown:

fearful. There's all the self doubt, and maybe some mom guilt

Unknown:

creeping in. But I feel like it's something that I want to

Unknown:

continue pursuing. Great try, maybe you need to revamp some

Unknown:

things. Maybe you need to ask for help. Maybe you need to ask

Unknown:

somebody else. You know, I started doing this thing like

Unknown:

this not quite taken off the way I wanted. What do you think? Or

Unknown:

ask that same person maybe that you're working with and saying,

Unknown:

Do you have any ideas for something else that we could do

Unknown:

that can move this along faster? There are lots of ways that you

Unknown:

can make that pivot with grace, because it's not always going to

Unknown:

be what we planned with confidence. Because we know that

Unknown:

nothing is certain. Nobody can be certain of anything. So we

Unknown:

can be confident going into something and just say you know

Unknown:

what I'm going to try. What's the harm in trying, I would love

Unknown:

to know today what it is that's going on in your life. And I

Unknown:

would love to know how I can help support you. Because it can

Unknown:

be really lonely. It can be really scary sometimes. And even

Unknown:

if you've got a great support team around you, some people

Unknown:

might not understand what you're thinking about doing. And I just

Unknown:

want you to know that I would love to support you. I would

Unknown:

love to hear what you're thinking about these days. And I

Unknown:

would love to find a way for us to move forward together, and do

Unknown:

that in three simple steps. So if that's something that you're

Unknown:

feeling like right now, you just need a little extra support,

Unknown:

please reach out to me you can go to my contact page at

Unknown:

everything was style.com. Or you can just find a link in the show

Unknown:

notes to this episode. Reach out to me, let me know what it is

Unknown:

that's on your heart these days, we can schedule a quick 15

Unknown:

minute call where we can figure out if working together is the

Unknown:

next best step I can tell you about the different

Unknown:

opportunities that we can work together have a 90 minute laser

Unknown:

focused zoom session we can get together, we can actually get

Unknown:

lots of ground covered during that time. It's like a one and

Unknown:

done. And then I send you on your way cheering for you saying

Unknown:

prayers for you. And then hopefully you'll get back to me

Unknown:

and tell me sometime how it's going. There's also a six month

Unknown:

program, a way to work with me where it can be like an ongoing

Unknown:

thing so that you don't feel so alone, because some of these

Unknown:

great big things that you are going to be trying and putting

Unknown:

it out there, you should totally try. Let's just do it. And it

Unknown:

needs to have some time attached to it, you need to do one thing.

Unknown:

And then we need to get back together and talk about it and

Unknown:

have that accountability. And then we do another set of

Unknown:

threes, see how that plays out. And then you come back to me and

Unknown:

we keep going back and forth. So you don't feel so alone. And we

Unknown:

continually go through this process together. So you feel

Unknown:

supported. And you have that better chance of success. When

Unknown:

we are asking people to come into our lives and support us

Unknown:

that can be really vulnerable, right? You can be like, Oh, I

Unknown:

don't really totally know what I'm doing. But I really want to

Unknown:

try this thing. And I would love it if you could support me in

Unknown:

that. That can be a super vulnerable thing. Even like my

Unknown:

amazing organizing clients, when they asked me to come into their

Unknown:

home, that's a super personal space to be in. So I just want

Unknown:

you to know that I definitely will treat you with care, I

Unknown:

definitely will appreciate that. That was a big step for you to

Unknown:

reach out. I'm so grateful to be in a position to be able to work

Unknown:

with you in that way. So just know that if you are in that

Unknown:

time right now, that transitional time and you're

Unknown:

wanting to make something happen, and you just don't know

Unknown:

how to do it, you're not alone, I have definitely been there.

Unknown:

And in some areas of my life, I'm still going through it. So

Unknown:

it's gonna be okay. It just is nothing is certain. But try

Unknown:

anyway. And you could end up seeing the most amazing

Unknown:

blessings that come from it. And I cannot wait to cheer you on.

Unknown:

So reach out to me if you need support. And just know no matter

Unknown:

what I am absolutely cheering you on. I'm so excited for you

Unknown:

because it's not always easy to try something new. But it is

Unknown:

definitely worth it. I hope you are having a great day. Your

Unknown:

week ahead is productive, and restful. You might need that

Unknown:

right now. If you need to take a little rest, take a little rant,

Unknown:

take a lot of rest. And I look forward to talking to you next
