Critical fire weather takes the top slot this morning.

Red flag warnings are up today for parts of the Florida Panhandle and northeast Florida, southeast Mississippi and much of southern Louisiana.

Gusty northwest winds and very low humidity mean any spark can race.

Freeze and hard freeze headlines trail the front across portions of Texas and the western Gulf Coast.

Along the southern California coast, dense fog is cutting visibility to a quarter mile or less through mid morning.

Let's run through the states.

California Dense fog advisories are in effect this morning along beaches from San Luis Obispo through Los Angeles and into coastal Orange and San Diego Counties with with visibility 1/4 mile or less and additional Marine fog hazards through late morning.

Florida High fire danger today.

Red flag warnings run late morning through early evening for the Suwannee Valley and portions of northeast and north central Florida and for Florida Panhandle counties under Tallahassee and Mobile coverage.

Expect northwest winds 15 to 20 mph, gusts 25 to 30.

Louisiana Southern Louisiana is under a red Flag warning today 10am to 6pm CST with north winds 10 to 20 mph, gusts near 30.

Freeze watches expand tonight north of I10 and into southwest Mississippi.

Marine Headlines Gales early, then small craft advisories continue along coastal waters.

Mississippi Southeast Mississippi falls under a red flag warning late morning through early evening.

Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts and relative humidity as low as the low 20s will support rapid fire spread.

A widespread freeze is expected tonight into Tuesday morning across central and northern counties.

Texas behind the front, southeast and portions of south central Texas are dealing with dry, breezy conditions and pockets of red flag headlines along with freeze alerts early today.

Minimum relative humidity 15 to 25% and gusty north winds.

Virginia Fire crews continue mopping up two Jefferson National Forest fires near the Craig Bada Tort line.

As of the latest update, Bald mountain is near 3,000 acres and 65% contained.

The nearby Lignite Fire is about 174 acres and 90% contained.

West Virginia the Woodside fire on the Monongahela National Forest near Cherry Grove is Now estimated at 365 acres and 65% contained after beneficial rain and aggressive line construction.

Smoke remains visible in nearby communities.

All other states have no significant updates in the last 24 hours.
