Today's topic.
Speaker BThis is a prophetic church.
Speaker BThis is not a gay church.
Speaker BBecause if a church is named by the identity of the people in the room.
Speaker ARoom.
Speaker BEvery church in Atlanta, Georgia, is a gay church.
Speaker BEvery last one.
Speaker BI said what I said, and I'm not taking it back.
Speaker AI said what I said.
Speaker AI ain't taking it back.
Speaker AAll right, well, you ain't gotta take it back, sir, but we are going to prescribe some truth to that error.
Speaker AWelcome back to Prescribed Truth.
Speaker AI'm Jamaal Benny, the one who seeks to distribute the truth that the doctor prescribes to the church and the world today.
Speaker ABishop O.C.
Speaker Aallen.
Speaker AI don't know who this is.
Speaker AI've never seen this before.
Speaker AThis was actually sent to me by a viewer.
Speaker AThere's a misunderstanding here that we need to address.
Speaker AAnd I think it's important because also by the caption that's on here, because this video is shared by Larry Reed in the caption reads, we tend to characterize every local church by the pastor, first lady, or the predominant attendees.
Speaker APretty regularly done.
Speaker ABut O.C.
Speaker Asaid he's tired.
Speaker ANow, whether Larry Reed is being tongue in cheek or not, I don't know.
Speaker ABut either way, I do agree that a lot of people tend to do this or a lot of people take offense at things being done like this.
Speaker ALet us clarify what is actually meant by someone claiming that a church is either a gay church or whatever case may be.
Speaker ALet's talk about that.
Speaker AIn his statement, he says that, hey, you know, if it's only judged by the people that attends, by the makeup of the crowd, then every church in Atlanta, Georgia is a gay church.
Speaker AI don't know if he pastors in Atlanta because apparently this is a gay church, but there are a lot of pastors who are caught up in a lot of scandals, especially homosexual scandals in Atlanta.
Speaker AYou know, we give a lot of titles to churches based on the character of the people that's there, based on the attendance.
Speaker AWe call black church because it's predominantly black.
Speaker AAnd we also have white churches.
Speaker AYou know, people always say it's white churches.
Speaker AYou go to a white church, you go to a black church.
Speaker ADo you go to a Spanish church or Hispanic church?
Speaker AWe have those.
Speaker AWhen it comes to ethnicities, right?
Speaker AYou got your Baptist church, you got your Methodist church, you got all these titles before churches.
Speaker ABut let's be clear, when it comes to calls within the black church, it's not even talking about the fact that there's a lot of people that are black in the Church, Yes.
Speaker AThat is a lot of the reason why it's called a black church.
Speaker ABecause you're not going to call, you're not going to call a church that's filled with predominantly Caucasian people a black church.
Speaker AChurch.
Speaker AThe culture that's in a lot of black churches are based off of black culture.
Speaker AThe same thing when it comes to what we call white church or Caucasian church, what it be based on what we stereotype as the culture.
Speaker ASo that's, that is this.
Speaker AIt's not just about the makeup of the people, it's about the kind of culture that's there and what's being taught.
Speaker ASo when it comes to gay church, it's not a gay church because you have predominantly gay people in your church.
Speaker AIt's a gay church because of the culture and the teaching concerning homosexuality that makes someone call it a gay church.
Speaker AIf there's a church teaching that homosexuality is okay, I don't call it a gay church.
Speaker AI don't call it a church at all.
Speaker ASo that's me.
Speaker ASo you're right, Bishop O.C.
Speaker Aallen.
Speaker AI wouldn't just call you a gay church.
Speaker AI don't think it would be a church at all.
Speaker ABecause that's not what the Bible teaches concerning his church.
Speaker ASee, Christ is the one who establishes the bride.
Speaker AChrist is the one who gives us the description of what the bride is and who the bride of Christ is and what that is made up of.
Speaker AAnd it is not those who say it's okay to be homosexual.
Speaker AIt's not made up of those who say it's okay to live outside of his commands.
Speaker AThat's not the way God's church is set up.
Speaker AAnd so in that case, no, I wouldn't call that a church.
Speaker ASo you're absolutely correct.
Speaker ACan we be honest about the fact that we're talking about the teaching of what's being said is okay in these type of churches, not necessarily of what the people are.
Speaker ABecause you know what, there could be homosexuals in churches that actually believe that it is sin to practice homosexual lifestyles.
Speaker AIt is sin to have homosexual affections.
Speaker AAnd so because they believe these things and yet they still sit in the crowd that don't make it a gay church because they too also could be trying to.
Speaker AThey could be struggling with these things, these same sex desires, and they're wanting to be free of those things and they're looking to Christ to free them from these desires.
Speaker ASo therefore, because they attend the church, don't make it a gay church.
Speaker ABut what makes it a gay church is the teaching saying that it is okay and that God is pleased with that type of lifestyle.
Speaker AAnd I'm willing to bet that churches like Bishop O.C.
Speaker Aallens would say that God is okay.
Speaker AHe knows your heart and he's okay.
Speaker AHe see you and everything else.
Speaker AHe wants you to love.
Speaker AGod's thing is he wants you to love.
Speaker AHe wants you to be loved.
Speaker AAnd that's the way you got to get it.
Speaker AAnd that is false.
Speaker AAnd that is what we have to stand up for.
Speaker AThat's what we have to stand up against in saying that no, this isn't church.
Speaker AThat isn't right.
Speaker ATurn from that sin, repent and put your trust in Christ alone to put a nice little bow on this and end this.
Speaker ABecause, hey, we can make very quick work of this.
Speaker ALet's not misunderstand what people are saying when we call it the gay church.
Speaker ASo you may have thought you made a point, but you made no point at all.
Speaker AWhat you actually let us know is that you're not a church.
Speaker AIf this is what you believe, this is what you practice.
Speaker ABut yes, you are correct in saying that because there are people there who, who are homosexual doesn't make it a homosexual church.
Speaker ANow let me go another step further.
Speaker AIf the pastor is a homosexual, he should not be pestering, which once again I would declare is not a true church.
Speaker AA true church has qualified leaders.
Speaker AQualified not because of their degrees or anything like that.
Speaker AQualified based on the Bible.
Speaker AThey.
Speaker AThe Bible tells us the qualifications of an elder.
Speaker AAnd if your elder does not meet those qualifications, especially and they can't meet those qualifications if they are practicing homosexual.
Speaker AYou don't have a church.
Speaker AWhat you have is a gathering of individuals who want to share their ideas and their feelings and they want to shout and stomp in whatever case may be.
Speaker ABut you don't have a church.
Speaker ANow that may seem offensive to some.
Speaker AAnd if it is, I would encourage you to look at the Scriptures, to open the Bible, to read it, to see what God actually says concerning these things.
Speaker AI'm just a messenger.
Speaker AI don't write the mail.
Speaker ARemember, this world is full of errors.
Speaker ABut the only thing that the doctor prescribes is truth.
Speaker AAnd it's in his word.
Speaker AUntil next time, blessings.
