Was that your introduction into astrology?
Speaker BNo, I. I was interested in astrology since a kid because I've always been interested in mythology.
Speaker AWhat was your start into the astrology?
Speaker AWhat was your comic books?
Speaker BI. I read comic books when I was little, for seven years old, and I read Conan the Barbarian.
Speaker BIn Conan the Barbarian, age of Conan comic book, they talked about astrology.
Speaker BAnd then I went and got real astrology books called Walden Bookstores.
Speaker BBack then I went to the Walden Bookstore, would read real astrology books and mythology books.
Speaker BI am a comic book writer as well, so those things interest me.
Speaker BMythology, the gods, the stories, you know, the parables and the holy books and things of that sort.
Speaker BThe prophets and their stories and the heroes.
Speaker BThat was in those stories.
Speaker BI was very much interested in whether it be Samson, Hercules or whomever.
Speaker BSo I read a lot.
Speaker BI read about witchcraft.
Speaker BI read about anything that do the supernatural or the occult, but I didn't get into it, meaning start to practice anything.
Speaker BSo I was.
Speaker BAfter the age.
Speaker ACan I ask you a question?
Speaker AGrowing up in one of those systems I know we taught to fear.
Speaker ASo how did you get into the occult stuff?
Speaker ABeing into, you know, coming out of
Speaker Bthat school of thought, it was comic books.
Speaker BAnd then my grandma, oh, I don't like that one that looks like the devil and, you know, throw my comic book away.
Speaker BAnd I would get out the trash.
Speaker BAnd so it was that, you know, like being a rebellious kid who told me, I can't do it.
Speaker BI'm gonna do it even more.
Speaker BAnd my dad's side was like, oh, that's not proper.
Speaker BThat's not what Muslims do.
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker BAs soon as he turn, I was doing so.
Speaker BIt was the rebelliousness within me that kept me driven towards those things.
Speaker BEnergy.
Speaker BSay again?
Speaker BAquarian energy.
Speaker BI have Oranos or Uranus.
Speaker BI do have it in Libra, in the stellium with a whole bunch of other planets.
Speaker BThe sun, Mercury and Pluto.
Speaker BVery nice.
Speaker BVery interesting.
Speaker BIt does oppose my moon in Aries.
Speaker BSo, you know, when it came to my.
Speaker BMy parental guidance, I did outright rebel against it.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWas that pointing to your moon?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker AYou.
Speaker AYou mentioned.
Speaker AWhat was your first branch of astrology that you jumped into around the age of 23?
Speaker BI got this book called the only astrology book you'll ever need.
Speaker BYeah, I got it too.
Speaker BAll right.
Speaker BAnd that's what I really got serious with it when I thought, okay, this is a rising sign.
Speaker BThis is a moon sign.
Speaker BThings I didn't know.
Speaker BI just knew about my sun sign, which is Libra.
Speaker BI didn't know about a rising sign and the moon sign, you know, didn't know about, you know, your time of birth.
Speaker BAnd back then, they didn't have software programs.
Speaker BI had to use an ephemeris to try to find my time, you know, my rising sign, which, based on my birth certificate, cancer would have been the ascendant.
Speaker BAnd I kept reading it, you know, and I had my girlfriend, I was trying to read her, you know, and my friends and, you know, at the time, I was, like I said, I was heavily into starting to create my own comic books and writing strategy started to influence that.
Speaker BYou know, I started to put some of that stuff into my writing.
Speaker AAre you an artist of some type?
Speaker BI'm not a. I'm not a visual artist.
Speaker BI wish.
Speaker BI am a literary artist.
Speaker BI can write anything.
Speaker BBut I prefer to write science fiction, fantasy, and action.
Speaker AOh, well, when you said comic book, I thought you might have been like an illustrator.
Speaker BNo, I pay artists to draw my comics.
Speaker BBut I have a comic book right now called Starfall, you know, so you write the story.
Speaker ASay again?
Speaker AYou write the story.
Speaker BJust I create the ideas, the characters, and I write the story.
Speaker AHuh.
Speaker AInteresting, Interesting.
Speaker AI have someone that's listening that probably really interest her as well.
Speaker BWell, yeah, it was funny because I kind of went away from it.
Speaker BBut later, when I became an astrologer, I went back to writing comics because now I actually use astrology to write the comics.
Speaker BI literally think of an idea and pull the birth time of the chart and write the story according to that chart.
Speaker BNice.
Speaker AWell, in all actuality, isn't that where all the stories come from anyway?
Speaker BYes.
