Speaker BThis year has been a whirlwind, hasn't it?
Speaker BIt feels like we blinked and here we are getting ready to wrap up another year.
Speaker BThanksgiving always reminds me to slow down, to take stock of life, and to really appreciate the moments that we sometimes take for granted.
Speaker BAnd that's what I want to talk about today.
Speaker BGratitude, finding joy in the little things and embracing the season even when it looks different than what we're used to.
Speaker BFor me, this year has been a mix of blessings and challenges, as I'm sure it may have been for you too.
Speaker BBut one thing that I've learned is to find joy in the small things.
Speaker BThe warm cup of coffee that I sip every morning, the laughter I share with friends and those quiet moments to catch my breath.
Speaker BI'm so grateful for my family and our health and most importantly, for the precious little gift of a granddaughter, Halo Joy, who we were blessed with this month.
Speaker BBeing a Grammy has already brought a smile to my face and joy into my life.
Speaker BI find myself appreciating this new and next chapter more than I ever imagined.
Speaker BThis Thanksgiving though, feels a little different.
Speaker BIt's actually our second year not spending the holiday with my son.
Speaker BLast year he and his wife traveled to be with his in laws and this year we're traveling to spend the day with my mom and the rest of our family.
Speaker BIt's a reminder that traditions evolve as life changes and while it's hard not spending the day with him, I am grateful for the moments that we do get to share.
Speaker BThe holidays can stir up a lot of emotions.
Speaker BJoy, excitement, but also sometimes a bit of sadness when Things look different than we're used to, and that's okay.
Speaker BIt's part of the beauty of the season.
Speaker BLearning to adapt, to embrace the new, and to hold on to the things that matter most.
Speaker BLet's talk about some tips for staying grounded.
Speaker BWith all the hustle and the bustle this week, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.
Speaker BTrust me, I've been there.
Speaker BBut let me remind you of a few simple ways to stay grounded and fully enjoy the moment that you're in.
Speaker BNumber one is breathe.
Speaker BJust pause.
Speaker BTake a deep breath.
Speaker BWhen things feel chaotic, it's amazing how much clarity you can find in those few seconds.
Speaker BNumber two now first, let me say I'm pretty happy not to be cooking this year.
Speaker BBut if you're cooking or hosting, don't be afraid to delegate.
Speaker BWhether it's asking for help in the kitchen or having someone else set the table, remember, you don't have to do it all yourself.
Speaker BAnd three, it's okay if things aren't perfect.
Speaker BSome of the best memories are born from the imperfect moments.
Speaker BAnd for those of you who are gearing up for Black Friday shopping, have fun.
Speaker BBut don't let it steal your joy or your peace.
Speaker BWhether you're chasing deals or staying cozy at home, remember that this season isn't about the gifts that we buy.
Speaker BIt's about the love that we share.
Speaker BAs we move into this Thanksgiving week, I hope that you'll take time to reflect on your own moments of gratitude.
Speaker BWhat are you thankful for this year?
Speaker BMaybe it's the people that you love, the challenges that you've overcome, or simply making it through another day.
Speaker BWhatever it is, hold on to it tightly and let it guide you through the season.
Speaker BThis Thanksgiving will be different for us, and it may be for you, too.
Speaker BBut different doesn't mean bad.
Speaker BIt just means new memories, new lessons, and new reasons to be thankful.
Speaker BI'm wishing you a happy holiday filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of pie.
Speaker BAnd hey, before the turkey hits the table, challenge yourself to tell at least one person why you're thankful for them.
Speaker BIt's a simple gesture that can mean the world.
Speaker BThanks for spending a few moments with me today.
Speaker BI'll be back next week, but until then, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy every second of it.
Speaker BTake care and I'll see you soon.
