Speaker:Hi there, Modern Man. In today's episode, we're going to talk
Speaker:about how hard is hard enough for intercourse? I'm Dr Anne
Speaker:Truong. I treated over 7000 men, and let's address this question.
Speaker:Hard enough for sex is usually defined as an erection that's
Speaker:firm enough to allow comfortable penetration and stay inside
Speaker:during thrusting. Now there is an erection hardness score
Speaker:called EHS. So clinically, there is a scale from zero to four for
Speaker:erection hardness score. Now, zero is no erection. One is big,
Speaker:but not hard. Two is hard, but not hard enough for penetration.
Speaker:Three is hard enough for penetration, but not completely
Speaker:hard. And four completely hard and fully rigid. Most vaginal
Speaker:intercourse is at EHS score of three or four is considered hard
Speaker:enough because it is sufficient for penetration and maintaining
Speaker:it. Studies show that men who report erection at EHS of three
Speaker:or four also report a high percentage of successful
Speaker:intercourse attempt and better sexual satisfaction.

Speaker:Now, if an erection can have penetration without using your
Speaker:hand to push it in or keep it in during thrusting, it's usually
Speaker:hard enough. If it's repeatedly been slipped out or cannot be
Speaker:inserted despite arousal that's typically below the hard enough
Speaker:scale, or EHS of two or lower, and also fit ED criteria. This
Speaker:will mean that when you're not hard enough, that means you're
Speaker:not getting enough blood flow that comes from the heart, that
Speaker:goes to the blood vessels, and then that goes to the penis in
Speaker:order for the penis to become firm and rigid. And that could
Speaker:be possibly from high blood pressure, high cholesterol,
Speaker:diabetes. It could be from medication. It could be from
Speaker:overweight, porn, not enough sleep, stress, and also even
Speaker:relationship problem and depression, anxiety. So multiple
Speaker:factors that contribute to it as well. And in my last video, and
Speaker:you can check out here, I talk about the different age range
Speaker:that the older you are, you're more predisposed to having
Speaker:medical condition that will give you ED versus if you're under
Speaker:40, then it's more likely due to lifestyle, such as smoking,
Speaker:vaping, stress, inadequate sleep or porn that is contributing to
Speaker:your ED. But ED is not only for older men.
Speaker:Okay, Modern Man. If you're struggling with weak erection,

Speaker:work done to rule out whether you have diabetes. Get your
Speaker:blood pressure checked. You need to check to if you have high
Speaker:cholesterol, maybe even inflammation. All that can be
Speaker:discovered through blood work. And check out the video that I

Speaker:ED. Particularly, also check out your testosterone as well. Check
Speaker:your total testosterone and check your free testosterone
Speaker:together. So the point I'm trying to say is that if you
Speaker:feel that you're not hard enough for penetration and you're
Speaker:frustrated, go get blood work, go see the doctor, and you may
Speaker:be able to reverse it quicker than you think. The second thing
Speaker:is that it is reversible, and the earlier you start, the
Speaker:easier it's going to be reversible. You could take in
Speaker:that blue pill for years and years and years, you're just
Speaker:ignoring the problem. I call it ignoring the infection, and it
Speaker:gets worse. So start early. Just know it is reversible, and it's
Speaker:not age inevitable at all. You don't have to live with it.
Speaker:Okay? So take the erection harder scale and let me know
Speaker:what your score is, from zero to four.
