Did you know that more than one reality exists right now? And the most successful people in the world, the top 1%, have learned how to operate in two realities at the same time. There's the reality that you can see your circumstances, your bank account, your body, your relationships. And then there's another reality that most people never learn how to access. Some people call it imagination. Some people call it potential. Others call it the fourth dimension. But here's what almost no one understands. Just knowing that two realities exist is not enough. There's a specific quality of thinking, what I call fourth dimensional thinking, that allows you to operate in both realities at once and let the future start shaping the present. Now, I didn't always understand this. There was a time when I had two homes in foreclosure. I was addicted to drugs and alcohol, and I felt completely trapped in this third dimensional realm. But today, I built a a $40 million business. I host a podcast with over 2 million listeners a month. And I've helped tens of thousands of people change their lives, not by forcing reality, but learning how to think from a different dimension. And in this episode, I'm going to show you how to align your thinking using neuroscience and behavioral psychology so you can activate this dimension intentionally, not by forcing outcomes, but by changing how you think. Now, whether you've never heard of the fourth dimension or you've been studying it for years, this will take you further than you've ever been before. Let's get into it.
Welcome to A Changed Mind, a journey into the topics that matter to you most. From the neuroscience and spirituality of mindset and personal growth, to groundbreaking strategies for health, wealth, and relationships, to open and honest conversations about pressing global issues such as the environment, censorship, corporate capture, and democracy. If you've been desiring a sanctuary for your spirit, a place to go to tune out the distraction, negativity, and doom and gloom so that you can tap into the deep power, the vibrancy, and the potential you have inside, you're in the right place. Welcome to a Changed mind.
All right, guys. If you were to ask me what the number one principle in personal growth or high performance is to understand, I would say is that there are two realities that are functioning right here, right now. The first reality is the sensory, physical, observable reality. This is the reality that we normally refer to as our exclusive reality. It's what we can sense with our five senses, it's made of results, it's circumstances, its consequences. It's the material world. It's the things that you can see, you can smell, you can taste, you can touch, you can hear. And this is the reality that most people react to all day long. But there's a second reality and it is a non sensory reality. It is immaterial. It's made up of imagination and identity and expectations and meaning. It is a reality of potential. This is what the great mystic Neville Goddard referred to as the fourth dimension. And these two realities are not separate, but one is upstream and one is downstream. And what I mean by that is that the third dimensional reality that we experience, the sensory reality, the physical world, it's not actually the source that's downstream. Upstream is the fourth dimension. And so your third dimensional reality, you can almost think of it as an echo, it's a projection, it's a live stream. And what you see now is delayed information. Your reality is, as Abraham Hicks, one of the great personal development teachers of our modern times, says, old news. It is the result of patterns of thinking and habits of emotion that you've been holding for a long time that have activated information in the fourth dimension that have over time, materialized into your third dimensional reality. And this is why reacting to the visible world alone keeps people stuck. So most people get trapped in this one reality. You can almost think of it as the Matrix. And your nervous system is wired to prioritize what feels immediate and threatening. And that's why this third dimensional reality is so alluring and why we pay so much attention to it. It, because the sensory reality, it feels urgent, it feels solid, it feels demanding. I want you to think about it like something happens at work. And you think about it. You bring what happened earlier today with you for the rest of the day. And so that's what the mind does. It pulls attention away from the fourth dimension, which is imagination, potential and the source, into repeating, like that movie with Bill Murray, Groundhog Day, the same day, over and over and over again. Over time, we become hypnotized by this third dimensional visible reality. We start believing that circumstances are fixed or that we have to actually change the third dimensional space to change our money situation, our health situation, our relationship situation. There was a story called Plato's Allegory of the Cave. And he talked about how there's a group of people who are chained up against a wall and behind them is a puppet master and there's a fire, and the puppet master is managing the puppets in front of the fire and it's casting a shadow against the wall. And the people who are chained to the rock believe that that's reality because it's the only thing that they've ever experienced. And so what you're seeing in your reality right now is just a shadow. But what happens is we become addicted to it and we start to identify with it. So we start saying things like I'm sick or I don't have enough or things never work out for me or there's not enough time. It becomes an identity. And this creates a loop because you observe that aspect of reality and you start to pay attention to it even more. There's a part of your brain that's called the reticular activating system. It's that part of your brain that when you buy a car, you start to think everybody on the road is driving the same car. You start to notice patterns. Well, what's happening is you're becoming too noticing of your problems. And so you start to habituate to them. You start to train your nervous system to them, what I would call trained traumas. And you subconsciously begin to respond to ideas or situations in a way that actually creates the result. And so we're living this same day over and over and over again. You reinforce the same outcome over and over. And it's not because people are doing something wrong. It's because we've over invested in this one dimension and this dimension reinforces itself neurologically. We can actually see this, that as you start to notice something, you. The myelin of your nervous system, of your synaptic connections starts to develop and become thicker and thicker and thicker. And so there's a greater electrical circuit or impulse that's ready to fire. And so your perception starts to become repetitive and you start to notice all the things. And that's why when you're in a place, for example, where you're financially insecure, you start to notice all the time that you don't have enough money. And you start to notice other people who do, or if you're not feeling well. And this is a very easy thing to do because it's so sensory, it's in your body. You start to notice how you're unwell all the time, or you start to notice other people who are healthy, but it's not you. So your perception becomes repetitive. And so reality becomes repetitive. And you say, yeah, Dave, okay, I get it. Like my beliefs create my reality. But I've changed my thinking. I've gone to an event I've read a book, I found a limiting belief. I worked the limiting belief. I came up with a new one. I've been doing the affirmations and the journaling, like, why isn't my reality changing? If this fourth dimension is based off of what I'm feeling and what I'm believing, and it's creating my third dimensional experience and I can change it at any point in time, why isn't anything changing? And my answer is, well, there's a delay. This is really important to understand. The present moment is not real time livestream. And that's actually a good thing because if you were actually streaming from the fourth dimension into your third dimension, everything that you were thinking on a moment by moment basis, anytime you had a negative thought, boom, it would show up in your reality. There's a delay, it's a soft stream. And the present moment is not real time. It's a projection of past thinking and emotional conditioning. And the good news is, is that you have to actually have a lot of negative thinking to create a negative situation in your life. And you need very little positive thinking to actually create something positive. But if you've been engaged with this habit over time of a limiting belief, then there's going to require some time to change it. So when people change internally, the external world doesn't shift instantly. Old patterns continue to show up as what I call echoes. And this is where most people give up. They assume that the work, meaning changing their mind or changing the way they feel, or starting to live in imagination, or the fourth dimension doesn't actually work because their third dimensional reality isn't changing. But that's not true. But as a result of believing this, we basically go back to the old identity. We go back to the old limiting belief. We go, oh, well, like, you know, I believe this new thing. I believe that life was abundant and that I was worthy of financial abundance. But I still see that I'm getting this unexpected bill in the mail and so that must not work. I'll go back to that old identity of not having enough or a fear of financial insecurity. So the echo isn't actually a problem. It's a confirmation that the past is projecting itself into your third dimensional space. It's like a Runway. And so we have to be able to stay the course with the airplane and get it off the tarmac and then our reality can change. So the reason why when you change a belief, your reality hasn't changed is because the system is still unwinding. And it makes sense because if your reality matches, your nervous system takes time to change the neural networks of your body takes time to change your circumstances. And allowing the echo is critical. And so people use the word surrender, like when you change a belief if you want your reality to change. If you want to give time for your fourth dimension to transform your third dimension, you have to surrender. I don't like the word surrender in this sense because people think the word means giving up. I prefer allowing. Okay, because you're not giving up. You're allowing your reality to change. You're establishing a new belief and a new identity. And you're holding a new belief in the new identity through the change. And that's a new muscle that you're building. It makes sense. You're holding a new belief or a frequency or identity through the change. That's how you get stronger. That's how you actually become. The new identity is you have to hold it in the face of evidence that doesn't support the new identity. If reality changed instantly, there'd be no internal growth. I want you to think of this like resistance training in the gym. You go into the gym, you do resistance training, you get stronger. It's almost impossible to do when you don't know what's happening. But when you understand that the echo effect is a law, you can relax through the change, even when it's uncomfortable. There's so many metaphors for this. Yoga is a really great one. It's like you get into these uncomfortable positions and postures. It's a new identity for your fascial system or your body, and you have to hold the posture and it's uncomfortable, so what do you do? You breathe through it. Well, when you start to activate new realities in the fourth dimension and you're waiting for your third dimensional reality to change, you have to breathe through it. Your attention is energy. In fact, it's the creative force of the universe. And what you focus on materializes. You know, I had a mentor who once told me, what you make, matter becomes matter, and your emotions amplify it. And so attention plus emotion equals creation. And that's why trying to fight or fix your third dimensional reality seems to only reinforce it. It's like the harder you try to get out of being broke, the more broke you are. The more you try to not be sick, the worse you feel. The more you try to find your soulmate, the more bad ones you end up meeting. I remember my wife's best friend before she met her husband. She had been on date after date after date after Date. She was on all these different dating sites. She was swiping up, swiping down, swiping left, swiping right. I mean, she was swiping so much, I think she had a callus on her finger. And she said, I'm so tired of going out on these dates. She was going out on a date almost every single day with a different guy. And she says, none of them are good. I finally, I give up. Literally within two weeks of giving up, she met the man that she's married to right now. But what we try to do is we try to fix the problem in the third dimensional space, but fixing it just feeds it. It's really important to understand that when you try to fight or fix something, it just reinforces it because your energy is creative and now you're feeding it. And the most successful people in the world, they learn how to see circumstances without collapsing into them. In other words, they hold the fourth dimensional vision and they let the third dimension continue to show up as it is without arguing with it, without fighting it, without letting it define their identity. So you notice what you don't want that's gonna happen in your life. You notice the problem, but then you stop paying attention to it. And you either direct your attention to what you do want, or you simply ignore the problem and the solution will appear. This is what Christ meant when he said turn the other cheek. He basically said, notice the enemy or notice the problem, allow it to occur, then turn your cheek, which is turning your attention. Like if you even look at the physical act of it, you turn your head in a different direction, that's turning your attention and you'll create something new or a solution will emerge. And you say, well, Dave, are you saying I can just ignore my bank account and money will pour into it? Well, I would say yes and no. So you notice that you don't have as much money as you would like and you'd like to have more money. And then you ignore the bank account that doesn't have as much money as you want in it. And as you do that, over time, a short period of time, you'll have thoughts that lead to making money. You'll create coincidences and synchronies, people will show up, a new job opportunity. This is what turning the other cheek is. You allow the problem to exist because it will, but you allow it and you pay attention to something other than the problem. So this fourth dimensional thinking, allowing your imagination to exist while being, in a sense, denial of the problems of your third dimensional space, it's not fantasy or positive thinking. It's really a skill. It's the ability to hold a future as psychologically real while the present reality is still catching up. I want to repeat that again because it's really important. Fourth dimensional thinking is allowing the vision you have to exist, but allowing the present moment to catch up to it. And this requires a regulated nervous system. This requires attention sovereignty, the ability to stop paying attention to the problems, which is a challenge for human beings because part of the survival mechanism that has been installed into us is paying attention to the problem so that we can survive. But you can't access the fourth dimension from survival mode. Third dimensional thinking keeps you locked into your current reality because it's based on fear and hypervigilance and focusing on what you don't want. Thinking you're going to solve it that way, but you're just feeding it. Fourth dimensional thinkers allow the future, feel the future, imagine the future without needing evidence. And they act from alignment, not urgency. There's nothing to solve in the third dimensional space. I'm just going to stay aligned with the vision that I have. And fourth dimensional thinkers, they make decisions without emotional bargaining. And this is why imagination isn't just daydreaming. It's actually a rehearsal for your future. The future doesn't arrive because you want it, it arrives because you practice it. And there's so much science to support this now. I mean, there's been scientific research that shows how athletes can actually increase fast twitch muscle fibers in their body by practicing the game in their head. Musicians increase neurological capacity by rehearsing their performances. I had my first event back in 2017. 330 people showed up. It was really miraculous. I mean, most people don't have anybody show up for their first event. 20, 30, 40, 50 at best, over 300 people. And it's because my wife and I practiced our first event before it happened. You know, I tell my wife all the time, she says, do you remember this trip we went on? I said, no, I don't have a very good memory. She said, that's not true. She said, you're always remembering your future. You have a fantastic memory, but you spend so much time in the fourth dimension that you don't even really pay attention to what happened in the third. Which is something that I'm working on because I do want to enjoy my third dimensional experience. But she's right. And so successful people live in both realities daily. They fully participate in physical life while holding their future from the fourth dimension. And they allow the circumstances that are occurring in their third dimensional space. The present moment to evolve into the future without needing to resist it or fight it, or solve it. They don't deny problems, but they don't personalize them either. It's just this is how it is. And they choose who they are. And this is why results often appear effortless from the outside. Because things seem to line up. Coincidences, timing. We call people who are operating from the fourth dimension and who are allowing the third to transform lucky. But luck has nothing to do with it. This is a skill of knowing how to function in two dimensions simultaneously. Because the fourth dimension is always making its way into the third. So you don't need to escape your current life, you just stop feeding it emotionally. You observe the present without arguing with it. You rehearse the future not from a place of desperation, but from a place of enjoying the imaginative act. And in this way, you're non resistant. You start to stabilize your identity internally and your perception starts to shift naturally. And so over time, your thoughts change, your feelings follow, your decisions reorganize, and reality has to respond. So you don't change your life by fighting what's in front of you. You change it by changing where you're operating from. Most people wait for their circumstances to improve before they allow themselves to think differently or feel differently, or decide differently. But the people who create extraordinary outcomes do exactly the opposite. They stop sourcing their identity from the third dimension. They stop arguing with what's happening. They stop treating today as the only way that it can be. And they learn how to live physically here, while thinking, deciding and choosing from somewhere ahead from the fourth dimension. And when you do that consistently, the echo fades and your current reality starts to quiet and life starts to reorganize in ways that you don't have to force. So the question isn't whether another dimension exists. The question is whether you're willing to stop letting the third dimension define you. And so my invitation is this. Try it on, make a new decision, hold the decision and watch over time as your third dimensional reality shifts. Watch what changes when your thinking stops reacting to the present and starts shaping what comes next. So I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I loved sharing it with you.
