So how do you know if you have low vitamin D? Oftentimes, the

signs are a little bit kind of ambiguous, but you can easily

get a blood test. So you go to lab and you get the blood test

Speaker:

and make sure you get the one that is called calcitriol.

Calcitriol, or 25 hydroxy vitamin D, because you don't

Speaker:

want to measure the D2 vitamin. So that's number one to make

Speaker:

sure you get the right vitamin tested. It can be easily tested

in the blood. And if you're less than 30, which is the low end of

Speaker:

normal, then you need to be supplemented by taking a

supplement. So the range is between 30 to 60. I like my

Speaker:

patient to be around 45 or so, which is midway. However,

Speaker:

nutritional requirement for vitamin D that a lot of people

Speaker:

be, I myself, have been vitamin D deficient for many, many

years, even though I try to increase it by eating more

salmon, eating more vegetables as well. That's how you can

increase it. I'm not eating enough portion. Oftentimes we
