Speaker:and Weight Loss journey in my January episodes, I thought maybe we could all
Speaker:use some powerful and inspirational quotes to help us keep going and moving forward.
Speaker:On our health, weight loss and intermittent fasting journey.
Speaker:So in today's episode, I'll be sharing the 10 simple but most impactful quotes
Speaker:that have helped me stay motivated, inspired, and on track with my fasting
Speaker:goals over the last five years.
Speaker:Quote, number one, slow and steady wins the weight loss race.
Speaker:So I feel like the tortoise wasn't just slow.
Speaker:The tortoise was wicked smart, too.
Speaker:Intermittent fasting success, especially weight loss, is about making gradual
Speaker:progress and learning what works for your body as you move along your journey.
Speaker:Don't set a specific weight loss deadline that only creates frustration and feelings
Speaker:of failure and inadequacy instead.
Speaker:Be patient and persistent and know that consistent efforts will lead to successful
Speaker:long-term weight loss over time.
Speaker:However, if you've hit a weight loss plateau, be sure to listen to episodes

Speaker:routine and maximize its benefits.
Speaker:By sticking to a consistent fasting schedule, you give your body time to
Speaker:adapt and optimize its metabolism, leading to more effective weight loss,
Speaker:and of course improved overall health.
Speaker:Quote number three, perspective is everything instead of saying.

Speaker:I get to, I really do love this one so, so much.
Speaker:Changing your mindset can make a big difference in how you feel about
Speaker:something instead of feeling like you have to do something like fasting.

Speaker:and exciting, which can in turn help you to stay motivated and on
Speaker:your intermittent fasting journey.
Speaker:Number four, never measure your progress using someone else's.

Speaker:I think this might be the best intermittent fasting quote ever.
Speaker:I love this one.
Speaker:Theodore Roosevelt said, comparison is the thief of joy, and boy is that true.
Speaker:Charles f Glassman is credited with proclaiming a slight variation
Speaker:of these wise, wise words about the dangers of measuring your own
Speaker:progress with someone else's ruler.
Speaker:Just focus on your personal goals and achievements rather than comparing
Speaker:yourself to others, which can be very dangerous and lead to feelings
Speaker:of inadequacy and discouragement, and most definitely get in the
Speaker:way of our fasting success.
Speaker:Number five, although no one can go back and make a brand new start,
Speaker:anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending by Carl Bard.
Speaker:That's another really great one.
Speaker:Even though you can't change the past, you can always start
Speaker:fresh and make a better tomorrow.
Speaker:This quote can be inspiring for someone on an intermittent
Speaker:fasting journey because you.
Speaker:It really does serve as a reminder that it's never too late to begin again and
Speaker:create a healthier lifestyle, even if you've messed up and fallen off the
Speaker:fasting wagon, which happens to all of us.
Speaker:It's been happening to me more and more since I turned 50, but
Speaker:I'll save all that craziness for another podcast episode anyways.
Speaker:When we mess up or we fall off of the wagon, it can.
Speaker:Be fixed because living an intermittent fasting lifestyle
Speaker:is both flexible and forgiving.
Speaker:Give yourself some grace and just think of it as a learning experience as well
Speaker:as an opportunity for a new beginning.
Speaker:I. I am not exactly sure who said this quote, but it's another really good one.
Speaker:Ready?
Speaker:You don't need to eat less.
Speaker:You just need to eat right instead of focusing on calorie restriction and
Speaker:eating less food, you should focus on eating more of the right kinds of
Speaker:food for intermittent fasting, like healthy proteins and low carb fruits
Speaker:and vegetables, healthy nutrient dense foods will keep you full and satisfied
Speaker:during fasting periods so you can fast, easier, fast longer, and hopefully lose.
Speaker:More weight.

Speaker:By persevering and not giving up, you really can discover what you're capable
Speaker:of achieving with intermittent fasting.
Speaker:Stay positive and keep going despite the challenges because intermittent
Speaker:fasting really does have the potential.
Speaker:To completely change your life for the better.
Speaker:It absolutely did that for me, and if you just stick with it, amazing
Speaker:things will definitely happen.
Speaker:Number eight, saying you've lost only five pounds is like finding a $5 bill.
Speaker:Throwing it out because it's only $5.
Speaker:I actually did a whole podcast episode on this one.
Speaker:Um, it's episode number 63 actually, because seriously losing just
Speaker:five pounds is a really big deal, and that's because losing five
Speaker:pounds can lower blood pressure.
Speaker:Cholesterol levels reduce the risk for heart disease, lower the risk of
Speaker:insulin resistance and type two diabetes drastically improve your sleep, massively
Speaker:increase energy levels, reduce body inflammation and joint pain, enhance your
Speaker:mood and overall self-confidence, and it even has the potential to greatly re
Speaker:decrease your risk for chronic diseases.
Speaker:Like cancer and stroke.
Speaker:So losing five pounds really, really is a big deal.
Speaker:Quote number nine, to lengthen thy life.
Speaker:Lessen thy meals by Benjamin Franklin.
Speaker:I kind of feel like Ben knows best on this one.
Speaker:I mean, even Benjamin Franklin understood the incredible power
Speaker:of intermittent fasting, eating fewer meals throughout the day.
Speaker:Not only has the potential to help with weight loss and weight management,
Speaker:but studies have shown that fasting can potentially lead to a longer.
Speaker:Life.
Speaker:The health benefits like autophagy and longevity that can come from
Speaker:practicing fasting are extremely motivating, encouraging, and inspiring.
Speaker:And finally, quote number 10, it's an oldie but goodie.
Speaker:You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start
Speaker:to be great by Zig Ziglar.
Speaker:The first step towards achieving intermittent fasting success is
Speaker:simply starting and remember, you absolutely don't need to be
