Melissa Deally:

Welcome back to another episode of health hacks. As I continue reviewing my top or my themes for 2024 and as I round out this year, I want to actually take some time to remind you of the importance of doing check ins with yourself and being reflective on how 2024 has gone for you from a perspective of your health. Did you set health goals at the beginning of the year, and how were you able to achieve those? What are your top wellness priorities moving forward when you were at your healthiest in 2024 Do you remember how you felt, and Are you still feeling that way as you listen to this episode? And if not, do you know what you need to do in order to get back to feeling your healthiest? These are all important questions to be asking yourself, potentially once a quarter, just to do those check ins. It's, you know, we do the T the D talks once a quarter, because we know the toxins are always coming in, so we want to always keep getting them out. We can have the best of intentions, and then over time, we let our habits slip, and if we do check ins once a quarter, then we catch ourselves before those habits have slipped too far, and we can bring ourselves back on track with our good habits, with prioritizing our health, because, of course, it is Your greatest asset. Without your health, what do you have nothing. You can't build your business without your health. You can't be a great parent. Can't be a great leader at work, etc. So making your health Your priority is important, and then what do you do to keep it a priority and maintain that prioritization of your health, you can also take a look at what are the areas where you did well. Did you do well with your nutrition and your eating habits? Did you do well with your sleep habits? Did you do well with your exercise habits? Did you do well with your mindfulness and stress reducing habits? Are there areas where you didn't do well? Maybe you did well in some of those areas, and not so well in other areas. And so everything on the path to improvement needs to be done in baby steps. It's not zero to 100 and then beat ourselves up because we didn't get there. It's let's look at where we did well, great. We're doing that well. Now what's the next baby step we can add? We approach it this way. It's far more doable, and we're much more likely to stick with it, so it's therefore more sustainable, and that's how we keep our focus on our health. So write down a couple of health goals for 2025 put in your calendar to review them once a quarter, notice where you might have slipped notice where there's improvement. Give yourself some grace and step onto the path of continuous improvement, so that you get to enjoy health and longevity, and live the life that you want to live, fully living, fully thriving and experiencing that health that you can have.
