Speaker:

>> Speaker A: My name is Taylor Tjarina, AKA the HOA lady, and

Speaker:

you're listening to Chasing Birdies.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: It's Thursday. It's new Chasing

Speaker:

Birdies. It's Taylor T. Jarena

Speaker:

here today on the podcast. But first, my man

Speaker:

J.P. what's shaking, buddy? It's good to see you,

Speaker:

man. Little California love.

Speaker:

>> RB: I feel like we're in the, similar decor

Speaker:

rooms. Where are you staying?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, I got a fireplace in my room. You got a fireplace?

Speaker:

>> RB: Me, too, bud. I got a fireplace.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: The duralogues or whatever they're called. They don't really last

Speaker:

that long, though. Kind of like you. It's. It just goes

Speaker:

out, but fizzles out, Bud.

Speaker:

>> RB: But thank you to everyone for tuning into this week's

Speaker:

episode. we got a guest that I've

Speaker:

been chasing around on social. Social media,

Speaker:

sending messages this, that, and the other.

Speaker:

We finally got him. He is one of the funniest guys

Speaker:

ever. love his social media. So funny.

Speaker:

We can't forget.

Speaker:

Today's episode is brought to you by Red Vanley. So go

Speaker:

to redvanley.com. check the boys out. All

Speaker:

their fall. Their winter gear is up. I know

Speaker:

that we just did some cool photos at

Speaker:

Nemacolin, and, you had the records on

Speaker:

Bud, and they were looking pretty dapper on you.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, you know, I've said it before. I'll say it again. The cords are like

Speaker:

joggers, but they're corduroys. Pull them up, get

Speaker:

to life. It's great. The hoodies,

Speaker:

modern hoodies, as I call them. They just fit great.

Speaker:

Make you look, you know, take you from a six to

Speaker:

seven if you really. If I'm being honest. But good,

Speaker:

stuff, man. And, yeah, we did. It was, It was a fun

Speaker:

little photo session we had up there at Nemakolan. The leaves were changing,

Speaker:

the wind was blowing. We didn't really play too much golf.

Speaker:

but I did. But I did get to put a little bit of that new

Speaker:

Titleist driver in the bag. Try it out a little bit.

Speaker:

Do you like it? Like what? I saw a little lower ball

Speaker:

flight. I was obviously not swinging

Speaker:

it great. But, yeah, I'm glad that I.

Speaker:

>> RB: Talked you into that 10 degree.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I still owe you. I think I still owe you on that.

Speaker:

>> RB: I'm glad that I got you in that 10°, bud. That's right. I

Speaker:

mean, just, you know, like. Like, I mean, I'm trying to

Speaker:

make ends meet here, and you're just fucking running around.

Speaker:

but it was fun, to do

Speaker:

it. And we have some cool, fun photos coming your way.

Speaker:

And, with the red van league and Nemocoal

Speaker:

and all that stuff. So we're really excited about that. But we

Speaker:

did just go to a winery on Sunday. That

Speaker:

was awesome. I do have to talk about Dearborn Winery.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: And, there's a little bit of golf twist.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: No, I think it's Dearden, not Deerborn.

Speaker:

Dearden. Dearden, yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: Dearden Winery, with a little bit of a

Speaker:

golf twist tied into it, which is really cool to see. They have a one

Speaker:

iron, a two iron, and three iron bottle of

Speaker:

wine. Got to meet owner. He was telling us a little bit about the

Speaker:

one iron that, he had to go buy the Ping

Speaker:

Zing. We actually held it in our hands. Everybody

Speaker:

got to hold it a little bit. So it was kind of cool, man, to see

Speaker:

the golf tied into the winery.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Dude, Napa was just incredible, man. Obviously

Speaker:

having good people around. But the weather was great. The,

Speaker:

wineries were awesome. The food was excellent. A little French

Speaker:

laundry on Monday night, bud. it was a great trip. But, yeah,

Speaker:

that winery, you had the one iron cabernet,

Speaker:

he had the two iron Cabernet.

Speaker:

And, obviously the guy's a little bit of a golf nut.

Speaker:

So we're trying. We were prying our way in there

Speaker:

saying, hey, we were.

Speaker:

>> RB: We were trying.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Guest on the podcast.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Huh?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Huh? Huh?

Speaker:

>> RB: Yes, we were. We were trying.

Speaker:

And have you been playing much at all lately?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: No, it's. It's coming. It's coming. It's slowly coming to a

Speaker:

halt. It's slowly coming to a halt.

Speaker:

>> RB: I got, you know, I went a, week ago to Sage valley

Speaker:

with, Mr. Neil Walker.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, how was that?

Speaker:

>> RB: Tyler Reeve and Cole Taylor and Ray Fult,

Speaker:

Vulture, and a couple other the boys. And it was

Speaker:

awesome, man. I'll tell you this much. I've been on a lot of golf

Speaker:

trips. Fortunate, enough to do it a

Speaker:

lot. I will tell you.

Speaker:

Well, first off, a lot of you won't get in and be able to

Speaker:

play.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Well, bud, you almost didn't get in.

Speaker:

>> RB: Okay, I almost didn't get in.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Let's be frank.

Speaker:

>> RB: from top to bottom, best golf experience I've ever had in my whole

Speaker:

entire life. As far as the food,

Speaker:

the. The accommodations. When you

Speaker:

were given those accommodations, some people forgot to put

Speaker:

us on a list or whatever, but neither here nor there. That's what I

Speaker:

get on the course. We ended up, you know, laying

Speaker:

my head on the cardboard box in the parking lot. It was

Speaker:

great. So, the Sage Valley experience

Speaker:

is one of a kind. That is for sure.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Well, it looked like you guys had a good time. The golf course looked like

Speaker:

mini Augusta. So, I

Speaker:

love the picture of Cole Taylor sleeping by the fire though. That's not

Speaker:

surprising. That's not surprising.

Speaker:

>> RB: Everybody thought, you know,

Speaker:

he might have passed away, but no, he was just snoozing and he got

Speaker:

a little bit of a sunburnt and Tyler, Reeve went to wake him

Speaker:

up and he told him he wasn't sleeping. He tried telling us he wasn't

Speaker:

sleeping, but. But, again,

Speaker:

as always, had a blast at the boys and

Speaker:

looking forward to the next one.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I got a great video of you.

Speaker:

We were, we landed in Denver trying to connect a flight

Speaker:

to San Fran and we were like cutting it

Speaker:

close. We're talking within 15 minutes

Speaker:

of boarding, closing, and we got a

Speaker:

15 minute walk. So everybody is just

Speaker:

casually jogging through the airport, which I love that

Speaker:

anyways. I love seeing people running through the airport. I think it's

Speaker:

hilarious. But then there's my man Pep.

Speaker:

First time he even tried to run since May, breaking his

Speaker:

fibula. And he's wobbling with the bag.

Speaker:

I got that video. I might have to put it out there a little bit.

Speaker:

>> RB: Go ahead, you can put it out there. It looks like you're

Speaker:

literally on the way to the first tee.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That's right, what you do often you do

Speaker:

that.

Speaker:

>> RB: I did Shark last week, the

Speaker:

photo shoot last week at number calling and I had to go check my

Speaker:

pants. Hence why, you guys on the

Speaker:

18th tee. It was an urgent matter.

Speaker:

But, today's guest, you want to fill everybody in a little bit

Speaker:

about him?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, Taylor's a, ah, comedian.

Speaker:

I mean the guy has blown up on social media

Speaker:

since COVID Loves, golf,

Speaker:

but has a lot of, a lot of really funny

Speaker:

videos that is worth checking out. So

Speaker:

make sure you check him out on Instagram. But, yeah, we were lucky

Speaker:

enough to get Taylor on the podcast here on Chasing Birdies.

Speaker:

Very, ah, light hearted, kind of, I don't know, non

Speaker:

serious type episode. But, it was a lot of fun, just kind of

Speaker:

chopping it up with him for a little bit. So kudos to you for staying on

Speaker:

it, dude.

Speaker:

>> RB: Hey, where there's. He never said

Speaker:

no, so I won't say where there's a no, there's a yes, he never said

Speaker:

no. It was just about getting a response and he

Speaker:

finally.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Right.

Speaker:

>> RB: I think I sent enough messages to Taylor. He's probably like, all right,

Speaker:

dude, this guy, like, I'll just Let's

Speaker:

do this once. But it was a blast. It was fun,

Speaker:

and I'm so thankful that Taylor came on to the.

Speaker:

To Chase and Birdies. Tell us a little bit about a story. Joke around a

Speaker:

little bit, and, you gotta go check his

Speaker:

videos out.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. So with that being said, enough of us

Speaker:

talking, let's turn it on over to Taylor T.

Speaker:

Jarina here on Chasing Birdies.

Speaker:

All right, y'all out there, I hope you are ready for some

Speaker:

laughs, especially you guys that are heavy on Instagram

Speaker:

Reels, TikToks, the YouTubes.

Speaker:

Taylor T. Jarina is joining us today

Speaker:

on Chase and Birdies, and my man has

Speaker:

established quite the following on Instagram.

Speaker:

And frankly, Pep has sent me these videos,

Speaker:

man. It's hilarious. I mean, you

Speaker:

are freaking hilarious, man. So I'm happy that

Speaker:

you joined us. Carved out a time for you to come on here

Speaker:

on Chasing Birdies, man. So we appreciate it.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: No, I appreciate it. it's been a fun ride the last couple

Speaker:

years. And, yeah, when Pep, reached out,

Speaker:

I started looking at your guys videos. I'm like,

Speaker:

this will be fun. Let's chop it up a little bit. So I appreciate it, you guys having

Speaker:

me.

Speaker:

>> RB: There's so much funny stuff. I thought. I was hoping you were gonna come on with a wig

Speaker:

on.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: well, I do have it right over here. I

Speaker:

was cleaning up the area a little bit, just like, you know, a little

Speaker:

less chaotic. And I do have it within arm's

Speaker:

reach, so maybe. Maybe we'll throw it on here at some

Speaker:

point.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You know, it's funny because, like, we're probably about the

Speaker:

same age, and with the advancement of technology,

Speaker:

this stuff wasn't around when we were in, like, high school

Speaker:

and even college. you know, Facebook was, like, all the

Speaker:

rage. Just came out when I was in college.

Speaker:

>> RB: You were poking girls all the time. Sending pokes.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Exactly. You know, but, to see some of.

Speaker:

Some of this progression with guys like you

Speaker:

specifically, it's. I don't know, I

Speaker:

get a kick out of it, because in all reality, this is what our

Speaker:

culture loves right now, you know, and you.

Speaker:

You kind of gripped it pretty good, man.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, no, I. Me and my buddies always joke that we grew up in the

Speaker:

wrong era, Right? Like, with all the social media stuff,

Speaker:

I mean, could you imagine if Twitch streaming

Speaker:

and video gaming streaming was around when, you know, I was in middle

Speaker:

school and high school? I would be a billionaire right now,

Speaker:

probably. Like, it's. It's. It's unreal. Like,

Speaker:

I, you know, I. We Always joke that we grew up in the wrong

Speaker:

because, I mean, we. I think I got my first

Speaker:

smartphone and what, like high school? Something like that. So we, you

Speaker:

know, we take videos and send it back and forth and,

Speaker:

you know, be stupid, but never had the opportunity to post it

Speaker:

publicly anywhere. Because in a. Probably a good thing, looking back on

Speaker:

some of those, it's probably best for everyone involved.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: We were talking about that chick the other day that, Actually

Speaker:

yesterday, Pep and I were golfing and just how things

Speaker:

go viral and that. Like that hock to a girl.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh, yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And our buddy Matt was like, I've said

Speaker:

dumber shit than that in my whole life. Like, oh, yeah. You know,

Speaker:

but it's. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: So that's right time,

Speaker:

right place, right.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Time, you know, camera in your face, just the right amount

Speaker:

of drinks, you know, it's. It.

Speaker:

She. She's grabbed it. Run with it, though. Good for her.

Speaker:

Well, literally and figuratively.

Speaker:

>> RB: I was going to say something, but

Speaker:

you can say anything you want, so you're good.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay. Okay. whatever we need to edit out.

Speaker:

>> RB: Where are you based out of?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: So I'm in, I'm in Indiana. I grew up. I was born and raised in,

Speaker:

Indianapolis, Indiana. Live on the south side here. went up to

Speaker:

Purdue. Graduate from Purdue and just. I came

Speaker:

back home. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: So I go to, Carmel, Indiana.

Speaker:

Yep, a good bit. Good. friend of mine, Dan

Speaker:

Moyer.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay.

Speaker:

>> RB: Moyer Jewelers. So.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: He takes me over to Crooked Stick every once in a while, which is always a

Speaker:

blast.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Crooked Stick is a good course. Yeah, we, So like I said, I live on the

Speaker:

south side, so we got a couple courses that are, you know, pretty, Pretty

Speaker:

close that golf often smok,

Speaker:

is one that's fairly close to my house. It's

Speaker:

one of those courses where it's like, you know, you can get in and 30,

Speaker:

40 bucks. It's not super expensive and they usually keep

Speaker:

it up pretty good, so I'll go there quite a bit. Hickory

Speaker:

Stick is probably one of my favorite courses here on the south side.

Speaker:

It's usually kept up pretty well. And, it's a fun

Speaker:

course. Link style for sure.

Speaker:

>> RB: So your social media, it is freaking.

Speaker:

Honestly, I can say, and I'm not just saying because you're here. There's not a video

Speaker:

that's not funny to me in some capacity. And it, like, hits

Speaker:

home. Right.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Thank you.

Speaker:

>> RB: I had a buddy over last night. He played college football

Speaker:

at Georgia, Tech and Slippery Rock, and

Speaker:

I showed him your high school like the one

Speaker:

where the high school player comes back.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: To visits and the alumni one.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, he's like, dude, this is hilarious. Like that

Speaker:

is. We were thinking of people who did it.

Speaker:

So where does all your inspiration come from? Because

Speaker:

so many of these videos you're like,

Speaker:

yeah, that's happening or happened or

Speaker:

whatever.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, honestly, it's, I mean a

Speaker:

lot of it's everyday relatable humor. Right? Like,

Speaker:

I'll see something and I'm like, alright, I'm gonna write that down. I

Speaker:

mean, if I showed you guys my phone of like the laundry list

Speaker:

of notes, like I'd scroll through, you guys would think I'm a

Speaker:

psychopath. With how many, with how many notes are written down in there?

Speaker:

Because, like, what I'll do is I'll just, I'll just see something, you know, in

Speaker:

everyday life and write it down and then I'll come back to it

Speaker:

later on and figure out, okay, can, I make that funny? Is

Speaker:

it a funny thought? Like what, what could I do to spice

Speaker:

it up a little bit? And so I'll just pull ideas from

Speaker:

that and then, you know, just, just talking with my buddies

Speaker:

like that I, they're always joking that they're

Speaker:

my, that they're my ghost writers. because they'll,

Speaker:

they'll send me, they'll send me video ideas and then, you know, we'll,

Speaker:

we'll kind of, you know, game plan it and talk it back and forth and write

Speaker:

out a loose script, so to speak. And yeah, so

Speaker:

I mean, where do I get my inspo. I mean, honestly,

Speaker:

most of it. And that's kind of what I, kind of what I, what I

Speaker:

pride myself on is like relatable humor. Like

Speaker:

what, what could, what could you guys watch? What

Speaker:

kind of video could you guys watch? First of all, laugh

Speaker:

your ass off, but then also send it to your buddy and say, oh no,

Speaker:

dude, this is you. Or this is so and so. Like,

Speaker:

so that's, that's the goal at the end of the day when I create a

Speaker:

video is, well, you know.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You have, there's one video of you, you know,

Speaker:

I forget the title of it, but it's something around planning a golf trip

Speaker:

with your. But an expensive golf trip with your buddies.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh yeah, when the rich friend books the golf trip.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And dude, that is like, that is like spot on.

Speaker:

Because it's happening now.

Speaker:

Like they're trying to do this Whistling in Aaron

Speaker:

Hills type deal next year, you know, and this buddy's going, well, it's only

Speaker:

six grand for like four night.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And it, but it's like that shit happens. Like that is

Speaker:

really good.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: it's a hundred percent. My buddy, it's 100%. One of my friends,

Speaker:

he does this every time. It's like, let's take this

Speaker:

trip out of the group chat and make it a

Speaker:

reality. These are the four courses that we're going. I'm

Speaker:

like, I got a wife that I gotta like, you know,

Speaker:

she doesn't tell me no most of the time, but like gotta

Speaker:

like, I gotta, you know, make sure this is good. I can't just. You know what

Speaker:

I mean? So it's like it, I mean, you're exactly right. It's

Speaker:

100%.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And then you hit it with the steakhouse. We're going to the

Speaker:

steakhouse for dinner?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh shit, man. But no, that's,

Speaker:

you're, you're spot on with that. Me,

Speaker:

like, Jonathan and I, we, we grew up together

Speaker:

for years. So like our humor, we're both very

Speaker:

kind of sarcastic and dry, especially with each other. So

Speaker:

sometimes we say shit that only him and I pick

Speaker:

up on and no one else gets it, but I get

Speaker:

a kick out of. Like I'll video

Speaker:

people. For example. This guy, the other day at the

Speaker:

gym, this dude was in this frickin

Speaker:

outfit, like looking like he just came out of an 80s pop

Speaker:

video and he's walking backwards on a

Speaker:

treadmill, just walking backwards. And I'm thinking to myself,

Speaker:

this is fucking hilarious. Like I don't know how to caption

Speaker:

this or whatever, but that type of shit of people

Speaker:

doing stuff is what I really get a kick out of, man. So

Speaker:

no, that's, that's.

Speaker:

It is, it's, it's good stuff.

Speaker:

>> RB: And well, I'll say this, the whole content game

Speaker:

thing, like, dude, we tried it and we were just

Speaker:

finally we got to a point where like we can't, we

Speaker:

can't do like, we can't do the videos or the reels

Speaker:

or anything. Like him and I are terrible at this. Like,

Speaker:

we video it and then it's kind of like, well, what do we

Speaker:

do now? Yeah, so we just kind of like

Speaker:

passed on that. And that's why it's so impressive, I think

Speaker:

with what you're doing is how long does each one of those

Speaker:

take?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It's funny. So I, like,

Speaker:

I mentioned it earlier, like, you know, growing up, you know,

Speaker:

you'd take videos and send it to your buddy. You know, you don't

Speaker:

really, you know, think about it too much. And then

Speaker:

Snapchat Came around and then you're really kind of, you know, taking

Speaker:

stupid videos and send it to your buddies. And then

Speaker:

so I kind of fell into the content game. Like I do. I knew

Speaker:

nothing about editing, knew nothing about,

Speaker:

I mean, social media as a whole. It started during COVID and

Speaker:

just kind of fell into it looking for something to do. Me and my buddy recorded our,

Speaker:

I remember the first Tick Tock video I did. We put. We were, we

Speaker:

were. I think we were pretty intoxicated.

Speaker:

We, we put on suit jackets and shorts and went

Speaker:

out to the front of our neighborhood to like the neighborhood

Speaker:

pond. And we lit with bush lights and lip sync boats

Speaker:

and hoes. And that was like

Speaker:

the first video that we did. So I kind of like fell into it.

Speaker:

So to answer your question, like, how long it takes,

Speaker:

it kind of depends, right? Like if I have like a long, drawn

Speaker:

out idea, that takes some time,

Speaker:

that takes some editing, you know, whatever. It could take me a couple

Speaker:

hours. But most of the stuff that

Speaker:

hits for me honestly is the quick shit that I don't think

Speaker:

about. Then I'm like, oh, this is stupid. I'm gonna

Speaker:

just film it on my phone and upload it and see

Speaker:

what happens. And you know, it's so funny how

Speaker:

the content game works because you could spend hours

Speaker:

editing a video. Perfect. Hey, this is a great one

Speaker:

right now. The whole script and it tanks. But then you're one

Speaker:

that you take 30 seconds to do.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, it's insane. I don't care.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: The capture rate. Like, you know, if we look

Speaker:

at some of the, you know, and we're not

Speaker:

anywhere near the level of view, obviously. I mean, we are a podcast, but we

Speaker:

do have to have content as a kind of

Speaker:

parallel with it. But you know, some of our videos that

Speaker:

get, you know, four or five thousand views, like the. Of

Speaker:

this of what we're doing, the

Speaker:

total average watch time is like four seconds.

Speaker:

You know what I mean? So that's to

Speaker:

your point. Yeah, the quick hit, the quick hitters probably pay

Speaker:

dividends more than the ones that you're like, sitting there spending hours on

Speaker:

chopping it up. And you know, for us, like, how

Speaker:

many people want to see pep and I swing in the golf club? I

Speaker:

mean, like, I don't want to see it anymore. You know what I

Speaker:

mean? Like, they don't need a video of me teeing off and

Speaker:

us putting, chasing birdies. Like, no,

Speaker:

that's not, you know, but that's what we do. And that's probably why we

Speaker:

fail.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: And the. Because I. I kind of think that too.

Speaker:

Like, the golf. The golf content

Speaker:

world, it's so interesting, right? Because,

Speaker:

like, so many people golf. But one of my buddies, Mo

Speaker:

Melosi from. From. Good, Good. He, His call, his

Speaker:

content is great. He has these great views out in

Speaker:

Utah, Vegas, all these things, and

Speaker:

99% of it is him hitting a tee shot. But,

Speaker:

like, everybody loves it because the views, like, it's

Speaker:

spectacular. Like, it just. And he's fucking really good at

Speaker:

golf. So it's like, people love that stuff. And I think.

Speaker:

I think a lot of it comes from building the community

Speaker:

first that, like, support you, that want to see

Speaker:

what you're doing, what you're. What you're growing. And

Speaker:

then, I mean, because I think. I can't remember

Speaker:

who said it earlier, but, like, I can post a video

Speaker:

that I think is, like, not good, that's not going to hit

Speaker:

or whatever, but my community loves it because it's me.

Speaker:

They like just seeing me post, you know, what are. So I

Speaker:

kind of look at that from a golf. So I posted a video yesterday. Like,

Speaker:

it's. It's a golf video. It's not like a

Speaker:

hugely funny video. Like, it's just me and my buddies.

Speaker:

I hit a fair. I had a shot out of a fairway bunker on a green and,

Speaker:

like, made a funny comment. Like, it's not like a

Speaker:

viral video by any means, but I posted it and people are commenting and they

Speaker:

like it just because it's like me and my buddies, you know?

Speaker:

>> RB: So, yeah, it's like, it's. It's almost natural.

Speaker:

Yeah, the natural,

Speaker:

the natural content. We get more likes on

Speaker:

than our, like, professional

Speaker:

photo photograph of us walking down a

Speaker:

fairway. So it's. It's interesting.

Speaker:

yeah, I did like that golf video of

Speaker:

you, the Tiger woods one where you were in the Taylor

Speaker:

Mae commercial. That was hysterical.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah. So, I mean, that was another one that me and my buddy were just kind of

Speaker:

messing around, waiting for somebody to clear the green. And I'm like,

Speaker:

you remember that old tiger thing?

Speaker:

I just, I don't take divots. And he was like, yeah. I was like, let's,

Speaker:

let's. Let's make a video about that. We just did it like, three seconds, you

Speaker:

know, it's.

Speaker:

>> RB: It was probably like one of the hottest videos

Speaker:

you've had.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It was a good one. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So I've always wondered, like, guys like you and people who

Speaker:

have become, you know, quote unquote, insta famous to

Speaker:

a degree, is there ever a crossover where

Speaker:

you Are like living in that character

Speaker:

life in real world. Like, you have to differentiate between,

Speaker:

like, okay, I'm out to dinner with my family

Speaker:

and I'm Taylor.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But I'm also this other guy that's

Speaker:

like a total genius with respect to

Speaker:

content. So, like, is there a management

Speaker:

aspect?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It's like, I guess, yeah, 100%. I mean,

Speaker:

from a, from a content perspective, like, I'm always

Speaker:

too much to a fault. I'm always taking in content, like

Speaker:

watching content, just seeing what else is out there. Do have

Speaker:

the conversation with the wife a lot of the time, say, put your phone

Speaker:

down. Like, so I'm always looking at content, just, you know, trying to

Speaker:

get better and see what else, like, what else is out there, what people are doing.

Speaker:

Because there's a lot of times I get ideas sparked from

Speaker:

watching videos and like, oh, that's really funny.

Speaker:

What's like a tandem video that I could do that, you know,

Speaker:

kind of could spin off of that a little bit. So get

Speaker:

ideas from that. But like, a lot of times when

Speaker:

we're. I mean, it's. It's crazy. It's like crazy imposter syndrome. I get

Speaker:

recognized out in public now. It's like, it's really

Speaker:

weird. So, like, taking pictures, I mean, at Disney

Speaker:

World two weeks ago, you guys should have is. It was insane.

Speaker:

Where's. Walking around parks. Ah,

Speaker:

we were there with the hurricane. Yeah, it was. We were there right when. Smack

Speaker:

dab in the middle of Milton. It was crazy.

Speaker:

They closed the park one day and like, closed the parks like an

Speaker:

early, on on the day before. But, yeah,

Speaker:

no, it was, it was, it was crazy down there for a couple days.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But, yeah, like that, that's funny. Like, people

Speaker:

coming up to you saying, hey, man, I follow you.

Speaker:

And you got to be like, follow you.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I love your videos. And it's so funny because,

Speaker:

like, do, you guys have kids, right?

Speaker:

>> RB: I do. Yeah. You do? Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay. My daughter picks up on everything. She's my four year old.

Speaker:

She picks up on literally everything. And yesterday we're

Speaker:

driving in the car and like the day before, I had a guy come

Speaker:

up to me at our, at our local zoo. Hey, man, love your

Speaker:

videos, blah, blah, blah. And took a picture. And, my daughter's in a big

Speaker:

pretend phase right now. And she was like, daddy, we're gonna

Speaker:

pretend that I recognize you. And then she was like, I

Speaker:

love your videos. I love your Instagram. I

Speaker:

follow you. And I'm like, this is, this is really weird.

Speaker:

It's really weird.

Speaker:

>> RB: The kids, kids are hilarious.

Speaker:

It's our kids. I have

Speaker:

a 7 year old and a 4 year old and our kids are 10

Speaker:

times smarter than we were growing up. And it's all because of this

Speaker:

technology and these tablets and all this

Speaker:

stuff. It's insane. But they say the funniest things, dude.

Speaker:

Last night we were at my local golf club that

Speaker:

I'm a member at and what's it called? My

Speaker:

Yaku Guinea Country Club.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That's right.

Speaker:

>> RB: My good buddy is going through a little

Speaker:

something marriage. Wise and

Speaker:

his son. Someone said, oh, where's your wife at?

Speaker:

And the son said, she

Speaker:

died. You missed the funeral.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: What?

Speaker:

>> RB: He said, dude, no, he didn't.

Speaker:

Like, and it's just like What? This kid's 10 years

Speaker:

old, you know? Yeah, it's like

Speaker:

what? But it's. They say the funniest things, dude. I mean

Speaker:

I was dying laughing because I know it's not true, right?

Speaker:

The fact that he said he didn't skip a beat. He said you missed the funeral.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That's the funniest part.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh yeah, you know what? So you're

Speaker:

the piece of crap. You missed it. So, you know,

Speaker:

thanks for the support.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh, shit, man, that's funny.

Speaker:

>> RB: So did this all start like kind of. Did you. I feel like

Speaker:

everybody in the social media that really ramped up

Speaker:

during COVID while you're just sitting inside and sweatpants

Speaker:

and tank tops and all that. Is that when it really

Speaker:

ramped up for you?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep. So that's, that's kind of when I started. So I, it's

Speaker:

funny, I had downloaded

Speaker:

TikTok and ah, like you know, didn't post

Speaker:

any videos, had an account, downloaded it, saw

Speaker:

just a bunch of teenagers like dancing and, and

Speaker:

singing on my ass. Shit's not for me. So I deleted it.

Speaker:

And then a buddy of me, a buddy of mine was like, dude, bring it back.

Speaker:

Like let's. Let's do some funny videos. So brought it back. And

Speaker:

this was. Yeah, right in the, right in the heart of, of quarantine.

Speaker:

like I said, started posting videos. He, we,

Speaker:

we kind of had like a little mini competition. Hey, let's get a thousand

Speaker:

followers. Let's get 10,000 followers. And he

Speaker:

posted a video on TikTok that got like a

Speaker:

million something views for. It was for Father's Day. And

Speaker:

I was like, holy shit. Like I'm not gonna be able to do that. It's

Speaker:

crazy. That jumped him up to like 20,000

Speaker:

followers. And I'm like, that's it, it's over. I'M not gonna

Speaker:

be able to do this. And, and funny enough, I posted a video that

Speaker:

got 4 million views, shot me up

Speaker:

to a hundred thousand, and that was pretty early.

Speaker:

And then I went from a hundred to two hundred thousand, like, even

Speaker:

quicker. So, yeah, it just. I,

Speaker:

I kind of, like, it was one of those things where it took

Speaker:

off pretty fast on TikTok, and I just kind

Speaker:

of grabbed it and ran with it. I didn't. I, you know, stay consistent with

Speaker:

it. I didn't stop because I feel like a lot of the,

Speaker:

A lot of people in the content world, like, they'll, they'll get a social,

Speaker:

you know, a viral video here and there, and like, they don't really stay

Speaker:

consistent with it. But, I mean, I, I thought I was

Speaker:

having fun doing it and I, you know, it was, it was one thing

Speaker:

where I just. I didn't feel like it was a burden to like, keep

Speaker:

posting, you know?

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, we always, when we check our social media and we get like two

Speaker:

followers that day, we get all giddy. So that's. You're probably,

Speaker:

that's probably like every. Yeah, we got two. Did you see

Speaker:

that?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: We're like, we're like, we're so committed to this shit.

Speaker:

We, We've been doing this podcast for four years. Like

Speaker:

five year is the, Is, the mark we got to reach, you know, but

Speaker:

then it's like, is anybody even listening?

Speaker:

>> RB: And that's the thing. If you look at our list of

Speaker:

followers, you look at the list of followers we,

Speaker:

We've had there, it's incredible. Like, if you go back

Speaker:

through everybody and we've never paid

Speaker:

anybody, like, it's, it's. But it's like, how,

Speaker:

how. Yeah, how do you

Speaker:

circulate and get the.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You know what I mean?

Speaker:

>> RB: It's just. And we actually enjoy doing this. I mean,

Speaker:

yeah, I see this. Yo yo. Once a week and do it

Speaker:

and.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And I make it sound worse than it is because, honestly, we've been on a nice

Speaker:

trajectory and all of our guests, we kind of have the same

Speaker:

vibe with our guests. You know, we want, we want people, man, and

Speaker:

we want to hear their story and chop it up with some golf a little bit.

Speaker:

So, yeah, it's been a fun ride. But I will say,

Speaker:

to your point about Tick Tock, it seems like Tick Tock is

Speaker:

the kind of accelerator, you know, the, the way

Speaker:

to get going. Because we had a buddy that kind of did the same

Speaker:

thing. George Burge with Beer. Beer Truck. Truck. Clay

Speaker:

Walker wanted him to put it on TikTok and he's like, what?

Speaker:

And he did. And then it's just like that

Speaker:

song went viral. And naturally, now Georgie's on a. On a

Speaker:

rocket ship himself. But the algorithms.

Speaker:

It feels like with TikTok, which we don't really mess with. I don't

Speaker:

have TikTok, but it sounds like that might be the play.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, it's. The algorithm changes so much over

Speaker:

there. It's like when you. When you finally feel. Feel like you got it

Speaker:

figured out, then it, like, it. You know, it changes. Then they start

Speaker:

prioritizing other videos, but it truly is one of those

Speaker:

platforms.

Speaker:

I don't know if you guys are Gary V. Followers, Gary Vaynerchuk, but

Speaker:

he's like, it. TikTok is one of

Speaker:

those things where it really can change

Speaker:

your life overnight. You put up. You put a video up,

Speaker:

it gets so many, you know, millions of views,

Speaker:

and you wake up to a hundred thousand followers and you

Speaker:

stay consistent with it. Like, it. It can, It did

Speaker:

me. I know. As cliche and cheesy as it. As it sounds, but

Speaker:

it really. It really did. So. Yeah, I mean, you're

Speaker:

100, right?

Speaker:

>> RB: But we need you to do something stupid, like.

Speaker:

Or something.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh, yeah, what do you see My new Kawasaki Ridge.

Speaker:

I'm getting bud. Like, I don't even have land to fucking driving

Speaker:

on, but I'm gonna be ripping that thing around down the

Speaker:

driveway. Oh, shoot.

Speaker:

What was I gonna say? I was gonna. I just was gonna say something to

Speaker:

you guys about.

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, so I can't. I'll fill in while you think.

Speaker:

You think on that. But you're. You have a couple

Speaker:

characters. Who's your leading character,

Speaker:

would you say? I, personally, I love.

Speaker:

I mean, he has an HOA where he lives. I love the

Speaker:

HOA lady because it is hilarious.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, no, I mean hoa. The

Speaker:

HOA president. HOA lady is probably

Speaker:

the, most hot character. I will say, the

Speaker:

most. Most attractive wanted.

Speaker:

and it's like. It's one of those things where, I mean, you guys may not realize

Speaker:

this or may not. You know, a, lot of people

Speaker:

don't know about a predominantly. Predominantly

Speaker:

large female following. So a lot of

Speaker:

times, the female characters tend to do. Tend to do pretty

Speaker:

well with. With that, with that side of. Of

Speaker:

of my following. So, yeah, when I throw on that stupid

Speaker:

wig and don't necessarily.

Speaker:

>> RB: Where did you think about that wig? Like, you know, it's funny.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I was kind of thinking about. I was thinking about this as I was getting ready this morning.

Speaker:

Because I had a feeling you guys are going to ask me about the wig.

Speaker:

>> RB: Sleep with it on.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: No, I don't. My wife, My wife

Speaker:

does. Did tell me. She was like, you need to start taking better care

Speaker:

of your wigs. And I'm like, I don't think. I do.

Speaker:

Like, I think, I think the rattiness of them, like, that's

Speaker:

what.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Like, but it's funny because, like I was

Speaker:

trying to think back, like the first time I put on a. I think

Speaker:

the first time I put on a wig, I bought like a, like a

Speaker:

mullet wig off of Amazon. Like a, like a really

Speaker:

stupid one. Like a Halloween one. And then

Speaker:

my, my mother in law, funny enough, my mother in

Speaker:

law owned a dance studio for, you know, years and

Speaker:

years and years. So she has a shit ton of

Speaker:

costumes and wigs and everything in the garage and she

Speaker:

was cleaning stuff out and she brought a big bag of wigs

Speaker:

over and she was like, this was still. When it was early on,

Speaker:

they kind of thought I was an idiot for making a fool of myself on

Speaker:

the Internet. They probably still do. But she was like, she

Speaker:

was like, I don't, I don't, I don't know if you want to use these, but here, here

Speaker:

they are. And so I was going through it and sure enough, at

Speaker:

the bottom of there was this ratty blonde wig. I was like, I could,

Speaker:

I could use this.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Rock it.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, yeah, like the one that you just posted the

Speaker:

video. Who's the other guy?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: So that's my buddy Justin. Justin Stagner. He does

Speaker:

the, like the Southern grandpa videos. I don't know if you guys

Speaker:

have seen those.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, but that video is hysterical because it's just

Speaker:

like this old woman smoking

Speaker:

heaters, doesn't care what you think. And you're so upset. It's

Speaker:

hilarious.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, no, that's, that's my, that's my good buddy Stag. He, We.

Speaker:

Yeah, we like to make a. You know, we've done a.

Speaker:

I think we did a Southern grandpa one together. but he

Speaker:

has this Dolores character that I was like, I gotta get

Speaker:

Dolores somehow into an HOA video.

Speaker:

>> RB: So, so how does that work where you're like you

Speaker:

because you're not in the same community or anything, right?

Speaker:

Like, no, he was an album. Tell him what you're gonna say. Or is

Speaker:

it kind of so

Speaker:

how I've done it?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I know a lot of people do it. I mean, there's, you know, so many

Speaker:

ways to do it. But what I like to do or what I've done in the past with

Speaker:

other creators that, Because I've collabed with him. I've collabed with,

Speaker:

Dane the Great, who does, like, the Southern dad stuff.

Speaker:

>> RB: He's hilarious.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, he's. He's. He's great. I love. I love Dane.

Speaker:

And then, another guy, demarcus, who I think he lives

Speaker:

up in Chicago. but he. His page

Speaker:

is art by demarcus Shawn. He does, like,

Speaker:

super, super relatable videos. Like, he

Speaker:

is very good about, like, taking the smallest

Speaker:

everyday thing and then turning it into a video

Speaker:

and making it so funny. Like, he's. He's great. So

Speaker:

I've done stuff with him too. But what I typically

Speaker:

do is like, hey, this is the idea I have. This is

Speaker:

what I'm thinking, and I'll film my part.

Speaker:

Or, you know, the other person will film their part.

Speaker:

I'll edit it all together and I'll send it to them and I'll say, hey,

Speaker:

this is. This is my part. Just kind of. Just kind of riff

Speaker:

off of that kind of thing. and so that's.

Speaker:

That's what we. That's what me and Justin did was I filmed the whole

Speaker:

HOA lady part, edited it together, sent

Speaker:

it to him, and I was like, all right, here's. Here's what you have to go off of.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So, yeah, clever. A lot of

Speaker:

work.

Speaker:

>> RB: Every day work.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Everyday ideas, everyday things that come up

Speaker:

that you think, damn, how. How could you turn this

Speaker:

into something, man? And I have that idea, you know, it's like, I

Speaker:

don't know how to turn this into something. And I'm gonna tell you

Speaker:

this, and it's probably not gonna go anywhere.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: That's it.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: If it does, I'll take a little bit of credit.

Speaker:

But, yeah, I get a kick out

Speaker:

of the credit card machines every time I go

Speaker:

up because it says

Speaker:

insert, swipe or tap.

Speaker:

Now if somebody can't create something that's just funny to

Speaker:

me, insert, swipe it. Tap it. Like,

Speaker:

there's got to be some play of words off that thing, man.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: you see it all the time, but no one. But that's where my mind goes. I'm like, it

Speaker:

says insert. It says swipe. It says tap.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah,

Speaker:

just batting at it. I did. I did

Speaker:

something like, I did some, like, ATM

Speaker:

debit card video a while ago.

Speaker:

Wasn't that idea, but it was similar. It was like, when

Speaker:

you get up to. When you get up to the counter and they say your card. Your card

Speaker:

didn't go through or Something like that. And then you're like, you know,

Speaker:

just. Just cleaning it off, you know, just like, you're just.

Speaker:

You're frantic, like, looking around like. No, it's. It's fine.

Speaker:

>> RB: I got.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I have money on it. There's money on it.

Speaker:

>> RB: Just.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It's just a machine. The machine's not working.

Speaker:

And you're, like, making it well known that, like. No, I. I

Speaker:

just got paid. Yeah,

Speaker:

like, I promise it's Your guys's machine's not

Speaker:

working, you know, but it's.

Speaker:

>> RB: The most embarrassing thing ever.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh, it's 100%.

Speaker:

>> RB: Like, that is. That is,

Speaker:

I would say at, 38 years old in my life, that is the

Speaker:

most embarrassing thing that happens to you is when you go to use

Speaker:

your credit card and declines again. And the

Speaker:

person behind you in, like, half of a flip

Speaker:

flop, one pant leg, they're staring at you like,

Speaker:

they're.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Looking at like, you loser. You're such a

Speaker:

loser, dude.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Pay your bills.

Speaker:

I didn't know you had that problem.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: That Kevin Hart bit. I got a checking and a

Speaker:

savings, and the way my bank account is set up, I

Speaker:

gotta, you know, I gotta. I just gotta move money around.

Speaker:

It's. Well, I'll get it figured out, but it's.

Speaker:

You guys, machines. Those are. Those are the ones. No, I just

Speaker:

got a new debit card the other day. My debit card was

Speaker:

so beat up and it was old just from being in

Speaker:

my, you know, my wallet getting thrown around, everything. But,

Speaker:

like, it would get. It would get declined so much.

Speaker:

>> RB: It's so.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It's.

Speaker:

>> RB: My chip doesn't work, so I got to swipe everything.

Speaker:

Yeah. M. Yeah, so my tap or

Speaker:

my insert don't work. I got to swipe.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, it sounds like personal problem. Can't insert, can't

Speaker:

tap it. And now you're swiping.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Now you just. Now you're swiping. Now you're swiping.

Speaker:

>> RB: That's great.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: No, I'm gonna write that down because, Ryan,

Speaker:

we can riff off that and see, we can come up with there.

Speaker:

Yes, that could be a good one.

Speaker:

>> RB: But it's amazing with what

Speaker:

you're talking about, writing ideas down,

Speaker:

and we have some friends in

Speaker:

the country music world that are performers and

Speaker:

songwriters. and it's the same thing, right?

Speaker:

You kind of. They kind of watch the room and they get

Speaker:

an inspiration from something that somebody said.

Speaker:

Somebody did. so it's kind of the same

Speaker:

thing. You're always having to stay alert, which I don't

Speaker:

have.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: So 100%. You know, it's my,

Speaker:

like, I think I mentioned it earlier, but my wife's always

Speaker:

like, you know, because I'm not. Not on alert.

Speaker:

But I'm. And I'm. I'm

Speaker:

normally, My wife would disagree, but I'd like to. And you know, I'd like

Speaker:

to consider myself a laid back kind of dude, but at

Speaker:

the same time, like, I'm always like, you know, I'm always

Speaker:

moving. I'm the type of guy that, like, if I'm laying on a beach

Speaker:

while she's reading a book, I want to go be up dude something.

Speaker:

You know, I just, I got to stay busy. So like when I'm.

Speaker:

When we're out doing something, I'm always, you know, got my head on

Speaker:

a swivel looking for. Looking for shit to write

Speaker:

down and figure out and. And she's got to

Speaker:

bring me back down a lot of times just like, chill

Speaker:

out.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Well, yeah, and especially because this kind of happened in the last four or

Speaker:

five years. You know, she might have been like

Speaker:

this. This change wasn't what I signed

Speaker:

up for. So she's got. There's got to be an understanding component now. Like,

Speaker:

hey, I got to do this shit now. Look at us.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Look at me.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yep.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: And, she's. She's. I mean, I'm very

Speaker:

thankful I have a very, very loving and supporting wife

Speaker:

who. Make sure you guys keep that part in there.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

Posted it on social media.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: There you go. There you go. No, she's. She's super

Speaker:

supportive. And it. I mean, because like I said, we kind of fell into

Speaker:

all this and she's actually turned into like a big,

Speaker:

like she'll. She's always giving me ideas now. She's.

Speaker:

And, a lot of times I used to. Because I used to record everything on my

Speaker:

phone, edit it and then post it. Now stuff,

Speaker:

I've. I've moved more towards the camera. Like I'll

Speaker:

film it on the camera and then edit it, on the, on the

Speaker:

computer later on and everything. So she's become

Speaker:

my m. Videographer. She likes video

Speaker:

and everything and producing a little bit,

Speaker:

so she's been great.

Speaker:

>> RB: That's awesome.

Speaker:

So I saw a video that you were out in Utah playing golf and

Speaker:

there was a, part that I had to like, wow, that's

Speaker:

something you don't see anymore. And you must be a

Speaker:

pretty darn good player if using a long

Speaker:

putter.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh, the broomstick. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: Because, your average player is not using that

Speaker:

thing. They'll be swinging It'll be in circles.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, no, it's funny how it kind of came to be.

Speaker:

So, yeah, I was out in Utah, in St. George. We got to play some

Speaker:

beautiful courses out there. We were at Black Desert,

Speaker:

which was unreal. definitely a bucket list course.

Speaker:

If you guys haven't gotten a chance to play out there. It was amazing. It

Speaker:

was 60 mile an hour winds.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: What's it called? Black Desert.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Black Desert. So it was. What's that?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That's what you got on your hat.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: There you go. it's beautif. Ah. Like, if you guys.

Speaker:

I'm serious. Like, it's a bucket list. It's awesome.

Speaker:

so we got to play Black Desert, Sand Hollow, which was really

Speaker:

fun, and then Coral Canyon. so those. Those

Speaker:

were beautiful courses. Anyway, it was funny how the

Speaker:

broomstick came to be. So I had.

Speaker:

Last year, I got a new putter. I got a. I got a ping

Speaker:

putter. Actually got it right here. just like a.

Speaker:

Yeah, just a basic mallet. Like nothing.

Speaker:

Yeah, nothing. Nothing crazy.

Speaker:

But I just got that last year and I just gotten it

Speaker:

regripped because I was at the. At the PGA

Speaker:

Tour Superstore messing around with the Lab

Speaker:

putters.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: And they had a, they had. I'll do that later. They

Speaker:

had a putter there that had this grip on

Speaker:

it. And, I was messing around. I was like, man, I really

Speaker:

like that grip. So I put that grip on my old

Speaker:

putter and, I was like, I really like this. But

Speaker:

I just started messing around with the broomstick at the store.

Speaker:

So the influencer

Speaker:

in me reached out to Lab and was like, hey,

Speaker:

I would love to figure out a way to partner together and get

Speaker:

your guys products in

Speaker:

videos, and post them. is there something we

Speaker:

can work out? And they're like, yeah, absolutely. We'd love to set you up.

Speaker:

So I did the virtual fitting and everything. And, it

Speaker:

had. I was my. From my

Speaker:

perspective, I was like, hey, I want to get something that I

Speaker:

probably wouldn't go buy at the store normally. You know what I

Speaker:

mean? So I, started watching videos on the broomstick.

Speaker:

And what kind of led me to. It was.

Speaker:

So I've always struggled on the green from m. Just my

Speaker:

feelings, like, I feel like I can never get a good feeling on

Speaker:

the green. It's. It's been a Achilles heel for

Speaker:

years. And I watched this video that lab put

Speaker:

out that said a lot. Oftentimes if you're,

Speaker:

like, good at darts and like, cornhole, which

Speaker:

I'm usually pretty good at those.

Speaker:

that doesn't always carry over to the green because

Speaker:

darts and cornhole is a one handed motion, whereas

Speaker:

putting is a two handed motion. So the

Speaker:

broomstick tends to be a

Speaker:

good.

Speaker:

>> RB: You one handed.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: It's one handed because you're, you're, you're, you're,

Speaker:

you're still up here and then you just move

Speaker:

down here with the broomstick.

Speaker:

>> RB: You better not be anchoring that thing.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh, don't, don't get me wrong, don't. My buddies make sure

Speaker:

every single time.

Speaker:

>> RB: Slot a scorecard through there.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Make sure.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Every single time I'm over a ball,

Speaker:

you anchored right there. That is a

Speaker:

video.

Speaker:

>> RB: Because it's so true. Because when I play with people that have

Speaker:

longs, I'm kind of like, yeah, you're in that thing

Speaker:

or what?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep. when your buddy has a broomstick. Oh, that is a really good

Speaker:

idea.

Speaker:

>> RB: So there you go.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: There we go. I'm gonna do that one there.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: So yeah, long winded answer to your question. I saw

Speaker:

that video and was like, hey, you know, it tends to lead

Speaker:

more towards one handed motion, people. And I was like, I'll give it a shot.

Speaker:

So. And I've liked it, man.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I don't care to say this statement. I don't care what people think if they

Speaker:

agree or disagree. I really don't care.

Speaker:

But, no, no, no, no, no. This is dead serious. I'm dead ass right

Speaker:

now. Putting absolutely makes or

Speaker:

breaks your round 100% every day. Absolutely

Speaker:

any round, period. Because it

Speaker:

just, it just does. It's just facts. Like if you're hitting

Speaker:

it bad, but you're able to get it up and down, you're saving the

Speaker:

round. You know, if you're making putts for

Speaker:

birdies, you're, you're, you're feeling a little better about

Speaker:

your other parts of your game. So.

Speaker:

Yeah, man. So to your point, yeah. If you're struggling with

Speaker:

having that feel component, man, if you tighten that

Speaker:

up, it's going to trickle through the rest of your game. It is,

Speaker:

it makes or breaks it all day.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I mean, I mean, 100% because like easy math, right? If you're

Speaker:

2, 2, 3, putting at least half of

Speaker:

your rounds, I mean, that's what. Or half of half of your round, that's

Speaker:

what, at least 18 to 27 strokes. At

Speaker:

least. You know, it's, it's unreal. I mean, you're

Speaker:

100% right.

Speaker:

>> RB: You need to average. If you can average

Speaker:

around 29 putts around the golf, 29

Speaker:

to 30 putts around the golf. That's your

Speaker:

head of everybody that you're playing with. And the other one

Speaker:

too is if you can par all par

Speaker:

threes, you're ahead of the

Speaker:

field.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Which I. Because for some reason

Speaker:

I struggle with irons off the tee box. I just, I

Speaker:

don't know, I struggle. But go ahead. Sorry.

Speaker:

>> RB: But that's, I mean that's two

Speaker:

parts of the golf game that you can really separate

Speaker:

yourself and. But that's interesting on

Speaker:

that, that, motion

Speaker:

stick. But I was going to call belly putter. But it's not a belly

Speaker:

putter. As long as you say so.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah. Ah, yeah, because it kind of goes up to my chest, you know,

Speaker:

almost.

Speaker:

>> RB: So I did use a belly putter, in college

Speaker:

and I love that thing. You couldn't, it couldn't

Speaker:

waiver at all, like at all.

Speaker:

And then they put that new role

Speaker:

in which, I mean, you look at some of the guys that

Speaker:

used a belly putter. Webb Simpson,

Speaker:

where's he been since that happened? Since they took it

Speaker:

away? There's some people. Adam Scott.

Speaker:

Yeah, he was anchoring. He's still playing pretty good. But I

Speaker:

mean, you take that away from somebody, that's a big change.

Speaker:

There's a reason you're using that belly putters because

Speaker:

you, you start the one.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. I think Adam Scott uses

Speaker:

the lab broomstick now. Yep.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah. Man, is he good looking guy.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: He can play golf too.

Speaker:

>> RB: I'll tell you. So you know not to,

Speaker:

but when we were in Nashville, Tennessee, I know that

Speaker:

you're. You do some stuff with Blue Otter

Speaker:

and next year you got to play in this Blue

Speaker:

Otter golf event. It is.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I already hit him up. Like, I was like, I have to, I have to

Speaker:

be at that next year. Like, no, like it

Speaker:

looked like a damn good time.

Speaker:

>> RB: It was so much fun.

Speaker:

but you know, while we're on the topic of good looking guys,

Speaker:

we talked about this last one, man,

Speaker:

Riley Green in person. We were like,

Speaker:

yeah, all right.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: Some people get it all, boys.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep. I mean some, some people just, just.

Speaker:

And, and they're posting videos of his golf

Speaker:

shop. Man can hit a golf ball too.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, he's great. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I mean, what can he do?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I mean, play golf. You can sing, you can play the

Speaker:

guitar and those looks the

Speaker:

hell boys.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And he can build a house and.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: He can build out, let's not forget.

Speaker:

And kill a duck. You know, like it's, it's.

Speaker:

>> RB: Leave some for the rest of us, bud.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Exactly.

Speaker:

>> RB: but that event was so much fun. Everything that they did, you

Speaker:

know, from, from the gifts to the food to the

Speaker:

entertainment after, which was awesome.

Speaker:

to, and I'm not getting political here,

Speaker:

but, John Daly was FaceTiming

Speaker:

somebody we thought was

Speaker:

somebody, and he turned it around and started showing all the

Speaker:

singer songwriters. It was Donald Trump.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I love it.

Speaker:

>> RB: It's just like A,

Speaker:

the fact that he answered,

Speaker:

B, the fact that we're at Old hickory and you're

Speaker:

FaceTiming Donald Trump on the back patio and then you're showing all these country

Speaker:

singers. But the whole day was so much fun. So we'll see you there

Speaker:

next year.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Well, I think it's more, I hope so.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: It's more impressive that Daley actually remembered how to

Speaker:

hit FaceTime on the boat, because he

Speaker:

absolutely was crushed.

Speaker:

Starting at 9.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Did, did he bring some of those John Daly's?

Speaker:

>> RB: Oh, yeah, the, the lemonade. Good Boy Vodka.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh my. The Good Boy. Oh, they're, they're

Speaker:

so good. So really I actually just had

Speaker:

some for the first time not too long ago, and

Speaker:

they're very like, I'm a High Noon guy. Like, I,

Speaker:

I don't get me wrong, I really like beer, but you know, if

Speaker:

you have 25 or 30 of them on the course.

Speaker:

No, if you have, if you have a good amount, you just feel bloated.

Speaker:

I, I, so I've become a big High Noon guy the

Speaker:

last couple years. And I had some of those for around a

Speaker:

couple, a couple weeks ago. And they are, they're very good.

Speaker:

>> RB: He was there. We showed up at 9:30am

Speaker:

he was sitting in a spot. When we left at

Speaker:

7:30pm he was in the same spot doing the same

Speaker:

thing, drinking Good Boy Vodka.

Speaker:

So his whole bus is Good Boy

Speaker:

Vodka. wrapped.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Is it? Yeah, yeah. So I'm

Speaker:

sure, I'm sure he gets, gets, you know, drinks

Speaker:

enough of that.

Speaker:

>> RB: What's the handicap nowadays?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: You know, it. I gotta, I gotta upload some stuff.

Speaker:

Well, actually I probably won't upload it from the St. George stuff. I didn't play

Speaker:

good, good golf out there, but I. Right around like a

Speaker:

1314, right around there. It's like not

Speaker:

like, not super good, not

Speaker:

great, but Well, yeah, I'll

Speaker:

hold my own. Like, it just kind of depends on

Speaker:

what shows up that day. I usually can get off the tee box pretty

Speaker:

good, but late as of late, it's like my mid to

Speaker:

long iron. Struggle, Struggle, you know,

Speaker:

so around the green putting, I've gotten a lot

Speaker:

Better, but it's. It's just my approach shots I

Speaker:

got to get a lot better at.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But, yeah, if you're able. I mean, being able to

Speaker:

kind of hit greens when you have long approach shots,

Speaker:

I mean, that's. That's another thing that really helps shaves. Shave the

Speaker:

score a little bit, you know? But it is. It's, ah.

Speaker:

It's. Yeah, it's tough, but I feel like

Speaker:

we've been playing golf. I mean, it's end of

Speaker:

October, essentially November here, and,

Speaker:

I mean, we just played golf yesterday. It was 70 degrees. We've

Speaker:

been having this, like, warm.

Speaker:

I don't know. Yeah, we're playing, like.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, Indiana's crazy. It's. It's gonna be a little

Speaker:

bit windy. I'm supposed to play golf next. I can't get

Speaker:

out this weekend, but I'm supposed to play golf next week. It's supposed

Speaker:

to be a little bit windy, but, yeah, I mean, it's been. It's been

Speaker:

in the 80s the past couple weeks. It's like. It's crazy.

Speaker:

And India. Where are you guys based out of? I don't think I asked you

Speaker:

guys for me. Pittsburgh. Okay.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Ah, I'm in West Virginia. Morgantown.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay. it, Like, we'll wake up, and it'll be 40

Speaker:

degrees in the morning, like, you know, a little bit chilly, and then it

Speaker:

heats up to 80 degrees in the afternoon. I'm like, make up your

Speaker:

fucking mind, dude. What are you doing?

Speaker:

>> RB: Like, I got a hoodie and corduroys on, going to the bus, and

Speaker:

then I'm coming home in gym shorts and a T shirt.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep, that's exactly right.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh, shit.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: That's exactly right.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That's funny. I saw you got, to pivot off

Speaker:

that Blue Water conversation. Nothing fancy. I

Speaker:

know. Kind of on your. On your Instagram page

Speaker:

there. And, What's the other? Robock.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Roback.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Roback. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Go ahead, sir.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I was just gonna say, yeah, they've kind of made a little bit of a presence

Speaker:

now.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, nothing fancy has grown substantially. I got

Speaker:

linked up with them, like, pretty early on when I

Speaker:

started, just because I'm a. I know Hardy was at the.

Speaker:

Was at the Blue Otter stuff. I'm a huge Hardy

Speaker:

fan.

Speaker:

So that's how I kind of started looking at the. The nothing

Speaker:

fancy stuff. And they had, like, an affiliate

Speaker:

program at one point, so applied to that and got

Speaker:

that. And yeah, I've. I mean, I wear

Speaker:

nothing fancy a lot. and Jackson,

Speaker:

who's the CEO. was he at the Blue Otter stuff or

Speaker:

Jackson?

Speaker:

>> RB: I don't know. I don't know who he is. So,

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Okay, okay. we've kind of, you know, you

Speaker:

know, connected through, through Instagram and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker:

So, Love those guys. But yeah, Roback is one of

Speaker:

those where, that, I mean, you're exactly right, Ryan.

Speaker:

They like, they've, they've made a huge jump in like the,

Speaker:

the athletics world. Not necessarily only golf

Speaker:

because I feel like that's where they started. Like, you know, golf polos

Speaker:

and hoodies. But now they got everything across the board when it comes

Speaker:

to, when it comes to, you know,

Speaker:

clothing and then they're in every sport. Like they got.

Speaker:

They just signed like a collegiate deal. Like,

Speaker:

so they have like, you know, call different colleges and stuff.

Speaker:

And I'm a big Notre Dame fan

Speaker:

and I feel like Notre Dame never, they never

Speaker:

license their stuff through third party people. And they were able to get

Speaker:

a deal with Royal. You know, Roback got to deal with them. So they sent me some like

Speaker:

Notre Dame Robacks stuff, which is, which is really

Speaker:

cool.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But yeah, so I gotta get. I got a cool Hardy

Speaker:

story real quick. We were driving back in

Speaker:

Nashville and, we got this guy that

Speaker:

kind of drives us around, that Swindell introduced us

Speaker:

to and Pep, whatever. So this cat, Brandon, awesome

Speaker:

dude. But he'll run us from Nashville to

Speaker:

Troubadour. This way you don't gotta worry about drinking, driving, whatever. But, he

Speaker:

drives for like a lot of the guys, you know. But, we're coming

Speaker:

back, and we're leaving

Speaker:

Troubadour, driving down the highway, and, he's playing

Speaker:

some songs and I hear the

Speaker:

song Blake Shelton's God's country, you know.

Speaker:

But it's not Blake Shelton singing it, it's Hardy.

Speaker:

And I'm like, this song is freaking better than the

Speaker:

song Shelton cut. And he's like, yeah, well, Hardy wrote that

Speaker:

song actually.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yep.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And dipped it off to Blake. But I heard the version of Hardy

Speaker:

singing it. Maybe you have too. I don't know. I don't know if it's like underground

Speaker:

shit. Yeah, he had it on his

Speaker:

phone from. He gets demos sent to him and whatnot. But,

Speaker:

sure, that song was ripping, man, because Hardy's got that rock

Speaker:

bass to him, you know, and that, voice. Yeah, it was

Speaker:

cool. So I thought that was.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah, I've become a huge Hardy fan. I know he's

Speaker:

kind of changed his a little bit

Speaker:

or maybe not necessarily change, but just kind of, like, being more true to

Speaker:

himself, like what he's.

Speaker:

>> RB: What.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: He's what he's always been about. And that's. That's been cool.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Awesome.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: Ah, mosey on down in Nashville, boys. Maybe we just meet there in

Speaker:

the middle.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Let's do it. Yeah, I got some connections at, What is

Speaker:

it? Hermit at the Hermitage. So we'll meet down there and we can

Speaker:

play down there.

Speaker:

>> RB: We'll do that. Do the Old hickory and then mosey on over to

Speaker:

Troubadour.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: There we go. Dude, was a good course.

Speaker:

>> RB: Love it. Yeah. We're laughing because we have

Speaker:

some buddies that chirp us all the time. Oh, Troubadour is sick.

Speaker:

Because there a good bit and they've never been, so it's

Speaker:

tough, in fact.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, and you had it on yesterday,

Speaker:

too. But a different. All right.

Speaker:

Hey, man. It was, I know we're cutting up to our threshold here and

Speaker:

timing and whatnot.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: you know, I always enjoyed kind of hearing people's stories, and

Speaker:

I. If I get Tick Tock, I'm gonna have to give you a

Speaker:

follow. I don't have TikTok. Maybe that's something we do.

Speaker:

>> RB: I don't either.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I think Jason Birdies has Tick Tock. Girls run

Speaker:

it.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Oh, there you go.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But our biggest video was me blowing leaves last year. Got like

Speaker:

30, 000 views on the golf course. You know, on the golf

Speaker:

course.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: But no, that's funny. No, you

Speaker:

stick with the inside. It's funny because, like, you know, because since all the

Speaker:

stuff started with Tick Tock, like, you know, my buddies try to embarrass you when

Speaker:

you're out in public and, like, hey, do you have Tick Tock? My buddy's

Speaker:

Tick Tock Famous. You should follow him. It's like,

Speaker:

But, I've kind of, like, told. I've kind of trained them now. It's like,

Speaker:

hey, I'm putting more of a focus on Instagram. So if you're gonna do it,

Speaker:

at least say, follow him on Instagram.

Speaker:

Like, you know.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Well, you guys listening out there, make sure you give Taylor a follow on

Speaker:

Instagram, because my man is hilarious. and it's

Speaker:

just Taylor. T Jarina.

Speaker:

T J E R I N

Speaker:

A. You'll see him on here. Nice blue checkmark next to his

Speaker:

name, too.

Speaker:

so, Taylor, we're going to wrap it up here on Chasing Birdies with

Speaker:

our Tap in segment presented by BET

Speaker:

Nardi Golf. Check him out online@betinardi.com

Speaker:

Pep's going to ask you a couple questions that, kind of demand your

Speaker:

quick response.

Speaker:

>> RB: Actually, they're not going to this time. There's some. He's

Speaker:

not long winded.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Okay.

Speaker:

>> RB: I think. But I could be wrong.

Speaker:

All right. Most pressure video you've done.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Most liked video I've done was, I

Speaker:

think it was like several. Several million

Speaker:

likes. I did a video like, two years

Speaker:

ago. It was a. It was a voiceover sound

Speaker:

bit, the void. The sound was like, tell

Speaker:

me why I shouldn't throw this drink in your ass face.

Speaker:

And what I did was I had gathered all my

Speaker:

wife's, like, half empty bottles of

Speaker:

water and Gatorade and, and

Speaker:

soda and all that kind of stuff. And There was like 20 bottles, and

Speaker:

I just gathered them up on the kitchen island and I put my arms

Speaker:

around them and I captioned it when your wife never finishes

Speaker:

a full drink. and so I just gathered that up

Speaker:

around the house.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That is awesome.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: The sound was like, tell me why I shouldn't throw this drink in your

Speaker:

ass. Face is funny. I think that

Speaker:

was the most. I think that was the most liked. But sorry,

Speaker:

long winded.

Speaker:

>> RB: I warned everybody. So,

Speaker:

favorite and least favorite thing about

Speaker:

social media.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Favorite is the community. Like, I've built, like, a

Speaker:

pretty cool community of very supportive people. And,

Speaker:

that's been really cool. Least, favorite

Speaker:

people are so mean on the Internet. Like, it's just.

Speaker:

They'll find the stupidest thing to, you know, to

Speaker:

pick out. And, like, I got this one guy who stays

Speaker:

in my DMs. I usually don't answer him. I usually don't

Speaker:

answer him. But for some reason or another, this

Speaker:

guy got me on a bad day. And I answered him. And,

Speaker:

it's just song. I'm like, what the are you talking about, dude?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Right?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: You know, And I think I asked him about that and he was like. And then he hit me

Speaker:

with the. It's all love, bro. If you come to Philly,

Speaker:

we'll golf.

Speaker:

>> RB: Like you're exactly who

Speaker:

I don't want to play with. I'm gonna take four and a half hours out of

Speaker:

my day. I'm not playing with you. lowest

Speaker:

round and where.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Lowest round was a

Speaker:

73 at, Hickory stick here in

Speaker:

Indy.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Let's go. That ain't no 13. I

Speaker:

might take you in the tournament, man. Getting 13

Speaker:

shooting one over.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Actually, you know what? I lied.

Speaker:

It was not a 73. That's who.

Speaker:

My. That was my. The guy I was with shot a 73.

Speaker:

I shot a, 79.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh, well, hey, there you go.

Speaker:

>> RB: That's still good. He's still gonna take you.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I'm looking.

Speaker:

>> RB: All right, last one. What are you chasing?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Chasing Birdies.

Speaker:

>> RB: Every day in life, on

Speaker:

the course, everything. Taylor, I

Speaker:

know I sent enough messages. I was probably one of those guys. You're like, all right, dude,

Speaker:

I'm just gonna do. This is like a charity. This is my monthly charity.

Speaker:

yeah, for these guys. We'll take them. So

Speaker:

we thank you so much for coming on. We're gonna have to

Speaker:

meet up, and I'm gonna. When we get off here, I

Speaker:

got some. I got an idea.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So how many messages he sent? You started off

Speaker:

with what's going on? Question mark. Like, who says

Speaker:

that anymore?

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: I, felt bad because you hit me up and

Speaker:

my response time was lacking, so

Speaker:

I apologize. Finally able to make it

Speaker:

happen here.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, no, like he said, truly.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: it was awesome catching up with you here on Chasing Birdies and, you know,

Speaker:

appreciate you coming on, brother.

Speaker:

>> Speaker A: No, I appreciate it. Thanks, guys.

Speaker:

>> RB: My man Taylor. It was fun to have the HOA

Speaker:

lady on. I was dying

Speaker:

whenever he did the video with the wig on and

Speaker:

did the HOA lady, but how many

Speaker:

ideas does he have on that cell phone?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I know. I wish we. Well, we might be able to show

Speaker:

the video of this podcast. But, yeah, it's

Speaker:

like, it is synonymous, like you said, with a lot of the country

Speaker:

writers and whatnot. I mean, he's got a Rolodex of

Speaker:

ideas of skits to put out, and

Speaker:

it's hilarious. And honestly, dude, I think my skit is great. My

Speaker:

idea is great. Your ideas are always good, too. I'm not taking that away from you.

Speaker:

But the tag, your swipe or

Speaker:

insert, like, I'm not trying to

Speaker:

be, you know, vulgar or promiscuous,

Speaker:

or whatever. perverted, maybe.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Not. It's just that it's hilarious when you go to the

Speaker:

register and you see insert, tap or

Speaker:

swipe. I don't know, I just think there's a play on words for

Speaker:

that, so. But, yeah, I was great. And

Speaker:

him and Joey are boys. Huh? Huh?

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah. Yeah. And, like, I, said, nothing

Speaker:

more embarrassing than the old, failed credit

Speaker:

card transaction because everybody just. It's

Speaker:

never fails, dude, when there's. There's four people behind you, like.

Speaker:

But, hilarious. We might have a

Speaker:

skit in the works as our boy Taylor, on the

Speaker:

golf course. I know that you gave him a few ideas, and I

Speaker:

gave him one off air. and I Just went through it at Sage

Speaker:

Valley, dude. Like the people that were. It

Speaker:

happened at least twice in the golf course each round.

Speaker:

So thank, you, Taylor, for coming on and taking some time

Speaker:

out of your day and away from your family to chat with us. Yo,

Speaker:

yo.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yep, yep. That's right. That's right, Taylor.

Speaker:

Appreciate it, my man. And you know what, Pep? We are

Speaker:

absolutely three weeks away

Speaker:

today from Thanksgiving, which

Speaker:

Thanksgiving is, as you know from last year's segment, one of

Speaker:

my favorite holidays, if not my favorite. But with the

Speaker:

holidays, you're getting a lot of downtime edging.

Speaker:

Yeah. You might be getting some downtime, though, with the holidays,

Speaker:

and naturally, a great spot to go in the event

Speaker:

you have some time off. Take your family, take your loved ones

Speaker:

to a little place called Nemocolon in southwestern

Speaker:

Pennsylvania. Nemocolon will cater to all your

Speaker:

needs, whether it's a large family, small family, whether you want to play

Speaker:

golf, or whether you want to go ride snowmobiles or horse

Speaker:

back riding. You can do that all here

Speaker:

at, Nemacolin. So make sure you check them out online@,

Speaker:

ah, nemacolin.com book your stay over the

Speaker:

winter, and if you're coming our way, send us a

Speaker:

message and maybe we'll meet you up there for a little cappuccino.

Speaker:

But Ashley and I went up to Gusto, the new

Speaker:

Italian joint that just opened up a couple weeks ago.

Speaker:

Aesthetically, it's beautiful. The food was good, the

Speaker:

service was great. So, Nemacolin's got it

Speaker:

going on right now, bud.

Speaker:

>> RB: Good. I love it, man. I can't wait to

Speaker:

try that new restaurant. Everybody speaks very highly

Speaker:

of it. So I, know that, you

Speaker:

know, we're doing this a few days early because we are in

Speaker:

Napa, sipping on some grapes and vino and all that

Speaker:

jazz. So, we apologize, but we did want to get this

Speaker:

done.

Speaker:

Now, our next guest. We're moseying on back to

Speaker:

Nashville next week to do an in person

Speaker:

interview with Charles Kelly from

Speaker:

Lady A.

Speaker:

And, we're excited for that one. He's a big golfer.

Speaker:

He's a good golfer, dude. My. From what I've heard, he's

Speaker:

about a two or three handicap, so we probably have to see that on the golf

Speaker:

course. But we are really excited for the interview,

Speaker:

with Charles Kelly from Lady.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: A. Yeah, and we got some other good ones

Speaker:

coming down the pipeline too, that I'm pretty excited about.

Speaker:

So, with that being said, I'm going to

Speaker:

wrap it up here. Pep, I know that you got some things you got to

Speaker:

tend to today. I got some things I got to tend to today.

Speaker:

but with that being said, we do always

Speaker:

appreciate your

Speaker:

downloading, your listening, your support of Chase and

Speaker:

Birdies.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yes, sir.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Were you going to say something?

Speaker:

>> RB: No, I was not gonna say anything. Oh, go.

Speaker:

Maybe go to Chase, underscore Birdies

Speaker:

like us. You're gonna say, go listen to

Speaker:

us. I mean, let's.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I just did.

Speaker:

>> RB: Like, just do it.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah, just do it, guys. Just do it. And

Speaker:

you guys enjoy your weekend. I hope it's a safe, prosperous

Speaker:

weekend for y'all today and always. And thank you

Speaker:

to Ali, Emily and Evo over at

Speaker:

Simpler Media for putting this thing together. Jacqueline

Speaker:

de Patario, Rachel London for all your help here on Chasing

Speaker:
