Week 16 is entirely done.

So now we're on to week 17.

The Turner Tet round Time here is really, really quick from Monday night to Wednesday.

So we have our first version of the start sit today where we're going to talk about the Wednesday Christmas Day games and Thursday night and then we'll be back on Friday with more sit start advice for the rest of your weekend.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Sounds good.

Yeah.

We've got three games then two on Wednesday, one on Thursday.

We get to discuss the same four teams that played last Saturday.

Again, it seems like we're talking about these four teams a lot, although we mixed up who they're playing and where they're playing at.

We're going to kick it off with Kansas City at Pittsburgh.

Kansas City's favor, two by two and a half points over under is 43 and a half.

This game be competitive?

I think it will be because both teams have a big reason to be playing.

So the Chiefs can lock up the AFC and get the bye week with that top spot with a win and then cruise into next week and not have to worry about it.

And the Steelers are still fighting for their division with Baltimore, so they haven't locked in that division.

They're leading it right now, but they need to keep winning to stay on top of that division.

And Baltimore is going to be in the next game that we talk about.

So Baltimore's going to know if the Steelers won or not.

How's this game going to play out?

So cornerback Joey Porter may be out for the Steelers, which would help the passing game for the Chiefs.

Pickens is set to return for the Steelers as well.

He's missed three games with a hamstring injury, but he's fully practiced and is expected to play on Wednesday, which is really, really good news for the Steelers because they've had a really rough time losing two of three, two of the last three games that he was out.

They need Pickens in that lineup to give Russell Wilson that strong target and to free up other wide receivers on the field.

Yeah, they definitely looked very different this last weekend.

We saw Baltimore at Pittsburgh or Baltimore and Pittsburgh play before Thanksgiving and that was a very low scoring game.

That kind of surprised me.

It was only in field goals.

And then this past weekend it was a completely different story that we saw.

So definitely interested to see how this shakes up for Pittsburgh and which team shows up.

Yeah, this is going to be an interesting matchup.

Both of these teams are strong against the run.

Chiefs are ranking third in rushing yards allowed and the Steelers are ranking eighth in rushing yards allowed.

So both teams should be turning more to the passing game where both teams are allowing a little bit more on the passing side of the ball than the running back side.

Also on the running back side, neither one of these teams are super strong on their run game and you're going to be sitting all of the running backs I would feel in this matchup.

So we've got Isaiah Pacheco, Cream Hunt for the Chiefs.

They're sharing their time.

Pacheco hasn't looked strong since he returned from the breaking his leg and Cream Hunt's eating into his time.

Combining that with the Steelers aren't really giving it up to the run.

I don't like the running back situation and for the Steelers it's kind of the same situation.

We've got Jalen Warren and Nig Harris that are in a total share.

Toss in some Cordell Patterson there at the goal line and you don't have a strong running back and you've got a bad matchup against the run as well.

So no one looks particularly good running the ball in this game.

Yeah, I think Najee Harris has seen a 50% decline in snap count alone in the last two weeks compared to prior to the it compared to earlier in the season.

So I definitely feel like that's a pretty safe sit for me.

So let's talk about the quarterbacks in this matchup.

We have Patrick Mahomes who's been battling that ankle injury, but he played last week, he's had more days of rest.

You know he's going to play in this matchup as well.

And then we have Russell Wilson who didn't look good last weekend in that start, but he's getting his wide receiver back.

Hopefully Russell Wilson is going to be a stronger player in this game with all of his wide receivers there.

And Patrick Mahomes gets that better matchup with the cornerback out.

The problem with the receivers for the Chiefs is it's getting a little bit like Green Bay and now we've got everyone back.

We got Hollywood Brown back and they threw him right back into the mix with five of eight, catching five of eight targets last weekend.

And Xavier Worthy is there as well and he left briefly with an ankle injury but he practiced.

He returned to that game as well.

He, he did come back and finish it.

So the receiving group is looking pretty healthy and in line to you.

Just don't know which one it's going to be in this matchup.

Well, because they even like to to throw in their tight end on the Kansas City.

They do.

I mean, you got Kelsey there, so.

And Kelsey's probably my favorite play.

If you were going to start somebody in this game, it's going to be the tight ends.

I feel like this is a competitive matchup and when we see a lot of the competitive matchups, we see a lot of checking down and that would be to the tight ends particularly.

So both tight ends, Travis Kelce and Pat Friarmuth are great plays that I would be starting in this game.

As far as the other wide receivers, yes, I'm starting George Pickens because he is clearly a favorite of Russell Wilson.

You can't not start George Pickens after that.

I think I'd look for better matchups if I could.

Well, let's continue on to Baltimore at Houston where Baltimore is favored by four and the over under is 47.

So a bit more higher scoring game that Vegas predicts.

I'm a little surprised by this.

With Tank Dell gone and we've seen how Houston has just struggled this year.

CJ Stroud just hasn't been hitting the points we kind of expected from him for fantasy production.

He definitely hasn't.

This game and that over under I think are being driven by the fact that the Ravens are ranked 31st in passing yards allowed.

I don't think we realize we don't connect that the Ravens are really strong and you don't think of that with a really strong team that is doing so well.

But yeah, they ranked 31st in passing yards allowed.

So maybe C.J.

stroud finally has his game and we get that back and forth game.

The problem is Tank Dell is gone.

So who are the wide receivers going to be beyond Nico Collins?

Nico Collins can't be the only wide receiver there.

He needs somebody else to take off some of that coverage.

Luckily it looks like Mechie is going to play in this matchup.

He did practice and hopefully John Mechie will be on the field for the Texans and they can get that passing game rolling.

Obviously you Nico Collins got you in here.

If you're still playing for a championship, you've got to start Nico Collins.

Even if you're playing for your toilet bowl or consolation bracket, you're going to play your Nico Collins.

He's too strong of a player not to play.

And we can list some Baltimore no brainers as well.

Derek Henry, Lamar Jackson, they're both no brainer starts.

Baltimore's still battling Pittsburgh for that division, so they really need this game and the Texans aren't really playing for much.

They've won their division there.

They can battle a little bit for seating, but that just matters who you may play and they aren't going to know that.

There's not a lot on the line for the Texans here.

They can't really advance and gain anything in this matchup with Tank Del gone.

And Baltimore being weak against passing yards.

What do you think about Dalton Schultz, the Houston tight end?

Good game.

I love Dalton Schultz.

Yeah, we saw last week when Tank Dell went out that Dalton Schultz stepped in and took a lot of the extra targets for the team and I think he'll be picking up more targets.

He knows the offense, so they will bring in another wide receiver.

But to try to get somebody up to speed in time is is difficult on the short week.

So they're going to be turning to the players that already know the system.

John Mechi does, and so having him in there does bring in some help for the team.

But I still think they're going to turn more to Dalton Schultz as well as Joe Mixon is not having a good matchup for the second week in a row and Mixon just hasn't been looking good.

Last week he was only worth eight PPR points.

They're definitely turning to the passing game more than the running game because they can't get it restarted and the Ravens are allowing the fewest rushing yards.

So Mixon is getting a really, really bad matchup.

The Ravens are on opposite ends on their defense.

They're, they're the best at stopping the rush and one of the worst at stopping the pass.

So kind of summarizing our cautious starts and probably sits there.

Zay Flowers is a cautious start, Rashad Bateman a cautious start, and Mark Andrews a cautious start.

And then we, we would say sit Joe Mixon and CJ Stroud.

Hopefully you have someone better you can play later in the week.

stroud's a little bit of a risk I may play him if I wasn't playing for a championship.

I'm pretty sure you're not playing your championship with CG Stroud, but if you are, drop us a note.

Let me know that you are.

Cause I'm really curious how you got in your championship with CJ Stroud, but you probably had some really, really strong running backs.

In one of my leagues where I'm heading to the championship it is.

I have Derek Henry and I'm playing against the person with Saquon Barkley.

And I'm curious how Many other leagues are ending their championship the same way with Barkley versus Henry.

Well, let's chat Seattle at Chicago where Seattle's favored by 3 1/2 and the over under is 43.5.

This one is our Thursday night game.

We have a couple of questionables on the Seattle side.

Walker with that ankle injury.

He did not practice on Monday and then Zach Charbonnet was limited at practice on Monday with that elbow injury.

That's the two running backs for Seattle.

I'm hoping both of them are healthy by Thursday because we're recording this Tuesday midday.

So it's not looking.

Yeah, it's not looking good for Kenneth Walker, but I feel like it's looking better for Zach Charbonnet to play in this game.

And The Bears ranked 26th in rushing yards allowed.

So the big question comes is anybody healthy enough to take advantage of it or not?

We'll see if Shar Charbonnet can step in there.

It's also predicted to be raining for this game, so you know they're going to want to run that ball a little bit more in those wet conditions.

The Bears were trying to keep it competitive with the Lions last week.

Fantasy wise it was one of the Bears best weeks with Kenan Allen hitting 32 points and Caleb Williams at 27 points.

Passing wise both defenses are mid pack against the pass, so that's a pretty decent matchup against the pass.

Geno smith had his second best day last week and scored 26 fantasy points and the Bears running offense is gone be since week 12.

DeAndre Swift hasn't broken 10 points so it doesn't look like the Bears are very good at running the ball.

Hopefully the Seahawks Seahawks can stop them.

I feel like this is going to come down to more of a little bit of a shootout, but maybe it won't because of that rain and it's a Thursday night.

Thursday nights seem to end up in nine to six scores, but hopefully that's not what we get on Thursday night.

Feel like your must starts are the the players that have been carrying both of these teams which are Jackson, Smith, Najigba and Keenan Allen.

Fantasy wise those two players I'm starting without hesitation.

Zach Charbonnet I also like as long as he's healthy and if he's not healthy I haven't dug through the running backs but I'm not going to go picking up running backs at this point in my championship.

How do you feel about Geno Smith?

I think this could be a really good matchup for him.

I think the one concern I have is that rain and if they're going to end up leaning on more of a rushing side just because it gets so rainy.

Otherwise I think this would be a great matchup for Geno Smith paired especially with JSN and dk.

Yeah, DK got a touchdown last week.

He's coming back a little bit.

I think this is a good one for Caleb Williams as well, being at home in this matchup to maybe have another good showing.

I'm sitting DeAndre Swift though.

Yeah, hopefully you can find someone fun.

Find someone better if you need to or you probably have someone better.
