TREY GERRALD:

Hey Chelsey girl, how has your week been going?

CHELSEY DONN:

My week's been going pretty well.

CHELSEY DONN:

You know, things have an amping up this week.

CHELSEY DONN:

I had been meaning to catch up on Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I hadn't done.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've been enjoying that very much.

CHELSEY DONN:

I I'm doing good this week.

CHELSEY DONN:

How about you, Trey?

CHELSEY DONN:

How are you doing?

TREY GERRALD:

It's funny.

TREY GERRALD:

You're talking about, I mean, I know that this is a re launch of, uh, Curb Your Enthusiasm

TREY GERRALD:

Cause it just ended.

TREY GERRALD:

I just, for the first time in my life, I started watching Veep.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, I haven't watched Veep either.

CHELSEY DONN:

Maybe I should get on the Veep train.

TREY GERRALD:

It's very funny.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm on episode four, like obviously it's very funny.

TREY GERRALD:

The world knows that, but I've been introducing a little bit of television back into my

TREY GERRALD:

And.

TREY GERRALD:

We're here and I'm excited for today's episode because we're going to be covering a place.

TREY GERRALD:

I've always yearned to go in my life, but I've never been.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes!

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm so excited as well.

CHELSEY DONN:

And also, I just have to comment.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, not everybody is watching, but Trey, What a gorgeous hat you have.

CHELSEY DONN:

Can you describe it?

TREY GERRALD:

Thank you.

TREY GERRALD:

I did receive in the mail a gift with a note attached that said thank you for being such an

TREY GERRALD:

This is a white baseball hat that says Kvetcher on it.

TREY GERRALD:

I like to wear it when I'm running.

TREY GERRALD:

I've I've been running once since I've had this hat, I really feel like when people see

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah!

CHELSEY DONN:

I think it's so cute.

CHELSEY DONN:

I love it.

CHELSEY DONN:

I have my black Kvetcher hat.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'll put it on for the After Show.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, that's fun.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Great!

TREY GERRALD:

Well, should we get into some bad things?

CHELSEY DONN:

I think maybe we should.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay Chelsey.

TREY GERRALD:

I really need you to

VOICEOVER:

Lodge A Complaint.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thanks.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

I want a Lodge, A Complaint today about like people who leave gum anywhere, like anywhere.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's not a trash can.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why are we doing this?

CHELSEY DONN:

I feel like the older I get the closer I become to like a schoolmarm because when I

CHELSEY DONN:

You know, like if you got caught with gum, you would get detention.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like it was a big deal.

CHELSEY DONN:

And as a kid.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

And as a kid, I was always like, oh, that's so stupid.

CHELSEY DONN:

Just let me chew my gum.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is ridiculous.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why can't I chew gum?

CHELSEY DONN:

It's so dumb.

CHELSEY DONN:

But the reality is people are animals, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

They just leave gum anywhere.

CHELSEY DONN:

Any old were right there in the middle of the sidewalk.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why not?

CHELSEY DONN:

Seems like a good place to spit out my gum.

CHELSEY DONN:

Someone might step in it, you know, like me I've stepped in gum before.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's horrible.

TREY GERRALD:

Have you ever like stuck gum somewhere?

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I'm not just saying this so I come off as like some

TREY GERRALD:

I don't think I've either.

CHELSEY DONN:

In fact, I have this thing where I get like, I love gum, but then gum loses its

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I got to get, like, I can't think about anything until I get the gum out of my mouth.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I gotta get the gum, but I won't, I won't, until I can find inappropriate receptacle.

CHELSEY DONN:

What is happening with this?

TREY GERRALD:

You also said the phrase marm.

CHELSEY DONN:

Schoolmarm I think...

TREY GERRALD:

yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

Where does that come from?

TREY GERRALD:

I've heard it, but what is a marm?

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just imagine it as like some like crotchety old lady who is like, you know, slapping

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's, can't be a good word.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's probably not 2022 appropriate, but you know what?

CHELSEY DONN:

I respect all the schoolmarms.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Don't come at me.

TREY GERRALD:

It is very frustrating.

TREY GERRALD:

when you come across something that's sticky and stuck to something

TREY GERRALD:

So obviously gum being in places that's not in a receptacle.

CHELSEY DONN:

Tragic.

CHELSEY DONN:

I can't do it.

CHELSEY DONN:

What about you, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

Give us a complaint, lay it on us.

TREY GERRALD:

I want to Lodge A complaint against hangers getting caught amongst themselves.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh my, have you ever encountered that

TREY GERRALD:

- CHELSEY DONN: So many times

TREY GERRALD:

It's so frustrating.

TREY GERRALD:

You like, there's so many things about hangers that are very frustrating.

TREY GERRALD:

Like if you're trying to carry like 12 items on hangers, it like, well, it's like

TREY GERRALD:

And then you, like, it's like trying to angle the hanger.

TREY GERRALD:

It's like trying to untangle necklaces.

TREY GERRALD:

Like you can't find the, start, you don't know how to fix it.

TREY GERRALD:

Cause it's so frustrating.

TREY GERRALD:

I just want to grab that article of clothing and it's like, suddenly I'm in a war in

CHELSEY DONN:

No, never, especially not like in a war.

CHELSEY DONN:

That sounds terrible.

TREY GERRALD:

So that's my complaint.

TREY GERRALD:

Oy!

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well that felt good to get all of that off our chest.

CHELSEY DONN:

Don't you think?

TREY GERRALD:

I feel much lighter and I feel like with this levity, I am ready to go head-to-head!

CHELSEY DONN:

Does that mean that it is another versus an episode this week?

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my God, we got to do it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

This is our first versus episode of 2022!

CHELSEY DONN:

2022.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey lets

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kvetch!

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

Today is another vs episode!

TREY GERRALD:

Today, Chelsey and I are both going to cover a one-star and a five-star review on the same topic.

TREY GERRALD:

Today's topic, a ski resort in Vail

CHELSEY DONN:

That's right for this versus episode, Trey selected the

CHELSEY DONN:

So to determine who goes first, we got to flip that quarter, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

You want to call it?

CHELSEY DONN:

Heads.

TREY GERRALD:

It is heads!

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, thank goodness.

CHELSEY DONN:

I hadn't been getting it right in a while.

CHELSEY DONN:

I started to doubt myself.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

So, I'm going first!

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

So let me tell everyone about what our topic is today.

TREY GERRALD:

We are covering a ski resort called Antlers At Vail.

TREY GERRALD:

Antlers At Vail is the number three out of 52 for specialty lodging in Vail on TripAdvisor and

TREY GERRALD:

The studio units are approximately twice as large as a standard hotel room.

TREY GERRALD:

And I looked at the images and they are like very luxe.

TREY GERRALD:

They offer a pool and hot tubs, a hot tub in the snow.

TREY GERRALD:

That would be gorgeous.

TREY GERRALD:

Fitness centers, pet Friendly condos, slope side, ski valet, In room,

TREY GERRALD:

And at the time of this recording, there are 965 reviews for Antlers At Vail on TripAdvisor

TREY GERRALD:

So with all of that background info, let's get into this versus battle, Henny.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

I did scour through a lot of those fives are used to try and find

CHELSEY DONN:

So, Trey, help me with this one.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

This person is from Sydney, Australia, and their username is W A I M A T E zero One.

TREY GERRALD:

Y mate?

CHELSEY DONN:

or is it like a way matie?

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't.

CHELSEY DONN:

I dunno.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

Are we saying in an Australian accent, this person's from sydney-

TREY GERRALD:

why matie!

TREY GERRALD:

That's what you said, right?

CHELSEY DONN:

I think so.

TREY GERRALD:

So let's say why matie 0 1.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why matie 01

TREY GERRALD:

Right?.

TREY GERRALD:

Like good day, Matie.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's why I was thinking that.

TREY GERRALD:

Alright!

TREY GERRALD:

Let's be offensive.

TREY GERRALD:

I love this.

CHELSEY DONN:

Way Oh!

CHELSEY DONN:

Way-Oh Matie 01, has written a five star review for Antlers.

CHELSEY DONN:

The subject is a really nice place to stay.

CHELSEY DONN:

When we choose ski accommodation, our requirements are two bedroom apartment

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, ideally about as far from the lift, as you could throw a ski boot.

CHELSEY DONN:

Our scowering of the map suggested there's not a lot of suitable accommodations

CHELSEY DONN:

It's mostly retail with the accommodation behind.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is one reason we opted for Lionshead and Antlers.

CHELSEY DONN:

Their website exuded a friendly vibe.

CHELSEY DONN:

As much as websites can exude vibes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Now, having been there, we can see, we assessed the proximity issue quite well.

CHELSEY DONN:

If you want to be close to a lift apartment style accommodation, then Lionshead is for you.

CHELSEY DONN:

We also correctly assessed the friendliness of Antlers correctly.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let me tell you about this.

CHELSEY DONN:

Once...

CHELSEY DONN:

once per week, they host a complimentary food and drink session to let customers

CHELSEY DONN:

Nice.

CHELSEY DONN:

Right?

CHELSEY DONN:

It's held in their meeting room.

CHELSEY DONN:

Whose name I don't recall, but it's named after someone.

TREY GERRALD:

[Laughter]

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

So Helpful!

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Ooh.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh God.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

But it's but it's named after someone

CHELSEY DONN:

Chelsey Meryl.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm going to just skip that, but it's named, after someone cause we got it.

TREY GERRALD:

Got it yeah!

CHELSEY DONN:

Inside the room.

CHELSEY DONN:

There's a picture of a lady with some words under it.

CHELSEY DONN:

[laughter.] Are they going to tell us the words?

CHELSEY DONN:

...NO?!

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Clearly it's who the room...

CHELSEY DONN:

Clearly.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's who the room is named after.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Are we clear?

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, thank you, Why Matie.

CHELSEY DONN:

While chatting to one of the staff I asked who the lady is expecting to learn.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's the owner or founder or some such.

CHELSEY DONN:

Turns out it's a housekeeper.

CHELSEY DONN:

Who'd been with them for 37 years.

CHELSEY DONN:

They named their main meeting room after a long serving housekeeper.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's pretty fricking cool in my book.

CHELSEY DONN:

They have a number of 30 plus year staff, which suggests they've got

CHELSEY DONN:

I was super impressed.

CHELSEY DONN:

To the other stuff.

CHELSEY DONN:

The ski valet service is great and you should definitely use it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Antlers is a few minutes walk from the gondola.

CHELSEY DONN:

They don't have room service, but they do sell soups at reception and the soups are really good.

CHELSEY DONN:

The kitchen facilities are comprehensive.

CHELSEY DONN:

General store and liquor store are about as far as the gondola.

CHELSEY DONN:

The general store is quite limited, but Antlers will run you over to a nearby, full supermarket.

CHELSEY DONN:

Our apartment was a bit dated, kind of high eighties decor, but

CHELSEY DONN:

So maybe some of the others are a bit more modern.

CHELSEY DONN:

There are exposed walkways from the rooms to the elevator.

CHELSEY DONN:

So the moment you open your door, you're in the elements.

CHELSEY DONN:

No big deal.

CHELSEY DONN:

More just expectation management.

CHELSEY DONN:

there are many more dining options in the main village than lionshead

CHELSEY DONN:

So you'll definitely want to use the shuttle bus at least a couple of times while you're there,

CHELSEY DONN:

Well done Antlers.

CHELSEY DONN:

We were very happy with our choice and would unreservedly recommend!

TREY GERRALD:

All right?

TREY GERRALD:

way mate!

CHELSEY DONN:

Way...

CHELSEY DONN:

oh yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

What is,what did we agree on?

TREY GERRALD:

Were we saying matie before?

TREY GERRALD:

Pirate pirate, same matey.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

You guys.

CHELSEY DONN:

What's your let's.

CHELSEY DONN:

Should we just call them WayMate?

TREY GERRALD:

WaiMate!

CHELSEY DONN:

01.

CHELSEY DONN:

WaiMate01.

CHELSEY DONN:

Final!

CHELSEY DONN:

Final Decision!

TREY GERRALD:

I took so many notes on this one.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, great.

TREY GERRALD:

I just want to say as someone who was born in 86, I'm

CHELSEY DONN:

high eighties.

CHELSEY DONN:

I know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I love that.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you know when this Review!

TREY GERRALD:

was written?

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

This Review!

CHELSEY DONN:

was written in January of 2017.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm curious about that because I looked at the website last night and

CHELSEY DONN:

oh

TREY GERRALD:

waimate01 is saying no room service.

CHELSEY DONN:

So maybe they've made that change because it does seem like

CHELSEY DONN:

So maybe that was one of the upgrades.

TREY GERRALD:

Right.

TREY GERRALD:

And then I'm also stealing the phrase.

TREY GERRALD:

Some such,

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah,

TREY GERRALD:

love it.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Anyway, that housekeeper section, like almost massacred my face.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

It's also interesting to me.

TREY GERRALD:

I have never, once in my life been skiing, I have never put skis on, I don't know a thing.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't know a thing about it, but it's funny to me, skiing in itself

TREY GERRALD:

And so it's very funny that when looking for recommendations, you don't want anything

TREY GERRALD:

There's just something very ironic and hypocritical about that.

TREY GERRALD:

But I recognize it's probably difficult to walk in the skis.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

And also like that is a big thing.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like there are all these fancy resorts that are like literally ski on resorts

CHELSEY DONN:

You know what I mean?

TREY GERRALD:

That makes sense.

TREY GERRALD:

What's Apres Ski?

CHELSEY DONN:

So Apres ski.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think it, I think Apres is after in French.

CHELSEY DONN:

I want to say it's after, but it's like a light bite after your skiing.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, like a Capri the salad.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like a nosh, but like with ski vibes after you ski.

TREY GERRALD:

anyway.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

I actually I'm a little unsure how I feel about crowning of this, because well, okay.

TREY GERRALD:

There is value here.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm wondering if, if maybe this is interesting, I don't think we've ever discussed this.

TREY GERRALD:

I wonder.

TREY GERRALD:

if there have been updates, does that then mean that, that makes this Review!

TREY GERRALD:

obsolete?

TREY GERRALD:

Because I don't know if it's valuable or not about the room service, because

TREY GERRALD:

So then also if it's been updated, then I'm wondering also this whole

TREY GERRALD:

I recognize in theory, that is like, that's really nice.

TREY GERRALD:

It's building community, it's building friends, you know, like I know like my in-laws

CHELSEY DONN:

And this is like, and skiing: very mingle vibes.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

That sounds like a true nightmare to me.

TREY GERRALD:

Let's like go down into the boardroom and like mingle and meet God that my

TREY GERRALD:

Why does that literally bit upset?

TREY GERRALD:

That's a premium,

CHELSEY DONN:

that's a pers- that's going to have to go on the bias category.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think for you when you go into crowning this Review!

CHELSEY DONN:

because I think that there's a lot of valuable information here.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's still relevant.

CHELSEY DONN:

What they're doing here.

CHELSEY DONN:

They're really flexing and like kind of a fun way, but it is funny that they're flexing

CHELSEY DONN:

So the information they're giving us is that it's close.

CHELSEY DONN:

We know, we know it's a boots throw away.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes, true.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that's like hugely helpful to know when you're looking for places to

CHELSEY DONN:

Beverage and nosh and be done with your day.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I think it is good to have all of this information.

CHELSEY DONN:

And also the friendly vibe thing was something, again, we're just grading this

CHELSEY DONN:

Obviously vibe is very important to this hotel

TREY GERRALD:

also, I want to say how they mentioned, even the studios have

TREY GERRALD:

So like knowing that the resort will drive you to the grocery store is awesome.

TREY GERRALD:

So what is the spelling and grammar like

CHELSEY DONN:

It's really, really good.

CHELSEY DONN:

And I mean, I, I thought there was a lot of sentimentality.

CHELSEY DONN:

I love the story about the housekeeper, you know, like I just think it's so specific

CHELSEY DONN:

Like this is their, their honest experience that they have that's

TREY GERRALD:

yes, it has that impact for me as well, that I feel like there's something to a

TREY GERRALD:

It sort of says something about the integrity of the structure of the organization that they are.

TREY GERRALD:

Like I would imagine this is a great place to work and.

TREY GERRALD:

You know, if you are honoring your housekeepers, then there's no hierarchy.

TREY GERRALD:

We're all working together to create a great experience for the customers,

TREY GERRALD:

I do trust WaiMate01, about that for sure.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

I definitely trust them.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, I'm wondering if I can distinguish, if this is common or a fluke from

TREY GERRALD:

It's like you can, they're stating everything on the map they're stating.

TREY GERRALD:

So to me it sort of feels like that's probably going to be very common.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, the distance is going to be the same.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I definitely think that the personality of WaiMate01 comes through

TREY GERRALD:

Correct.

CHELSEY DONN:

I really think that they're intentional in their review.

TREY GERRALD:

Now I have a question about humor because do you think that way was intentionally

TREY GERRALD:

I don't remember the name at same day after some One, though.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't think to the degree that we were laughing at it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Certainly not.

CHELSEY DONN:

God, but I mean, I do think that they definitely have personality regardless.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like that's true.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's like a lot of the language that they used, I think was playful.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't think that they were writing this as a standup bit, you know, but it was very funny,

TREY GERRALD:

something to the Review!

TREY GERRALD:

like, what is the subject?

CHELSEY DONN:

Very simple, uh, a really nice place to stay.

TREY GERRALD:

Right?

TREY GERRALD:

There's something that feels like, you know, when you learn a new language and you, I know

TREY GERRALD:

There's something about the Review!

TREY GERRALD:

that feels very much like this was nice.

TREY GERRALD:

It was outside.

TREY GERRALD:

I liked it.

TREY GERRALD:

There was mingling.

TREY GERRALD:

There was...

CHELSEY DONN:

Really?

CHELSEY DONN:

I completely disagree.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just, yeah, I think that there's like so much color and intrigue and like personality.

CHELSEY DONN:

I would be shocked if this was like a bot, you know?

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, no, certainly I can tell it's a human.

TREY GERRALD:

It doesn't feel emotional to me.

TREY GERRALD:

It feels like nothing is super emotional either way, which is neither good, nor bad.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I think that they are, cause they end with saying like, we were very happy

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I do think there's an element of, and, and even, and I kind of cute way, like defending

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, there's something that's very nice about that.

CHELSEY DONN:

And so I did feel like there was almost an element of protection coming from

TREY GERRALD:

Well, I think I could crown the way mate.

TREY GERRALD:

How do you feel?

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

So Chelsey and I each have our own set of one to five crown cards and in an effort to

VOICEOVER:

The queens are tabulating...Total Score!

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey's holding up four crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm holding up four and a half crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey tell us why you're holding up four crowns

TREY GERRALD:

I just took the one fully.

TREY GERRALD:

Because of the date.

TREY GERRALD:

That's really all.

TREY GERRALD:

I think if I had read this four years ago, I would feel like maybe

TREY GERRALD:

I think I'm just having a little hesitancy because if they now are publicizing, they

TREY GERRALD:

I want way mate, to go back and do an updated Review!

TREY GERRALD:

because I do thoroughly trust this.

TREY GERRALD:

Review!.

TREY GERRALD:

And also like, there wasn't like inherent humor.

TREY GERRALD:

I feel like WaiMate01, would be like my godfather.

TREY GERRALD:

Like I would trust them.

TREY GERRALD:

They're only here to make sure I'm happy and taken care of, but because there

TREY GERRALD:

And because it was so many years ago, I've never really considered that the impact of

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, I want to go there.

TREY GERRALD:

What about you?

TREY GERRALD:

Why did you do four and a half crowns?

CHELSEY DONN:

Obviously concur with everything that you've already said?

CHELSEY DONN:

I just think even if it's not intentionally written to be that funny, if I read

CHELSEY DONN:

So for the laugh, the extra half crown, total, yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, let's take a quick little break.

TREY GERRALD:

And when we come back, we're going to hear a completely different side of the story.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh God.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm like nervous.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm nervous.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've been swimming and five star reviews.

CHELSEY DONN:

I like I'm feel very defensive, but I'll let my guard down.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

I love it.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, when we come back, you're going to hear one of

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm preparing myself.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Be right back.

VOICEOVER:

Hold your crown.

VOICEOVER:

We'll be right back.

TREY GERRALD:

It's Game time!

TREY GERRALD:

All right, Chelsey, let's get ready to take a quick spin on the Meryl Streep-Go-round.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Here's the deal.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey and I have each picked a rotten scathing, pithy One-Star-Zinger and with 30 seconds on

TREY GERRALD:

Just like queen Meryl Streep, who does it all

CHELSEY DONN:

before the clock runs out and Trey, you are first with the zingers today.

CHELSEY DONN:

So let us know.

CHELSEY DONN:

Where's your Zinger from?

TREY GERRALD:

I have a One-Star-Zinger from Google reviews, this is for Hot Hands.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you know what this is?

CHELSEY DONN:

Little packets that you put inside the glove, right?

TREY GERRALD:

Exactly.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Those actually can work quite well.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, I've got a one-star for it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, Right, right, right.

TREY GERRALD:

This is, um, written by all caps, LINDA!

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, Linda,

TREY GERRALD:

And the One-Star-Zinger is, did not meet expectation of

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

Warm hands.

TREY GERRALD:

How do you end up just doing two dot dots.

TREY GERRALD:

Like how do you miss the one dot?

CHELSEY DONN:

I also think Maybe like everyone's definition of hot and warm is different.

CHELSEY DONN:

And Linda, all caps might really need it to be hot, hot, hot, you know?

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm going to strap you in today to a crystal ball.

TREY GERRALD:

Ooh.

TREY GERRALD:

Like that emoji.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Let's do it.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

VOICEOVER:

3, 2, 1, Go!

CHELSEY DONN:

That's five, which for one, as long as that is excellent.

CHELSEY DONN:

Good job Queen.

TREY GERRALD:

Thank you.

TREY GERRALD:

Thank you.

TREY GERRALD:

What about you, Chelsey?

TREY GERRALD:

What is your One-Star-Zinger for today?

CHELSEY DONN:

My One-Star-Zinger is from Amazon and it is a one-star review of a men's Timberland.

CHELSEY DONN:

Boot white ledge, mid waterproof boot, dark brown, nine M U S.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay?

VOICEOVER:

It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, no idea what that is.

TREY GERRALD:

Even thought it is 20 words long.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's a size nine Timberland in dark brown.

CHELSEY DONN:

Pretty much.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is written by Isabella, J L.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's a pretty name.

CHELSEY DONN:

One star is the subject and it says it's not originally.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's fake.

TREY GERRALD:

I'm finding a theme trend here with these One-Star-Zinger is where

TREY GERRALD:

They just push send.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's not originally it's fake.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

So I am going to strap you in today.

TREY GERRALD:

Of course, on a chair left.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my god.

CHELSEY DONN:

How fancy.

TREY GERRALD:

Or a ski lift.

TREY GERRALD:

Are those the same thing??

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've been on one of those I've just never gotten off, to ski.

TREY GERRALD:

Take me back!

TREY GERRALD:

Okay, Chelsey.

TREY GERRALD:

Are you ready?

CHELSEY DONN:

I am ready.

TREY GERRALD:

All right, here we go.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

But it is so hard to do the Yankee/Southern back-to-back.

TREY GERRALD:

It is really hard.

TREY GERRALD:

It's very challenging yet.

TREY GERRALD:

You still whooped me with 6, diva.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's an honor.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's an honor.

CHELSEY DONN:

And a privilege.

TREY GERRALD:

Take your victory lap on the ski lift.

CHELSEY DONN:

ooo yes

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

We are back from that rousing game break and it is Trey's turn.

CHELSEY DONN:

And let's hear it, Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

I got to hear this one star review.

CHELSEY DONN:

I've been waiting.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

This is a doozy.

TREY GERRALD:

So everyone get ready.

TREY GERRALD:

I have a one star review for Antlers At Vail from TripAdvisor that was written by Andrew.

CHELSEY DONN:

Kay.

TREY GERRALD:

And the subject is the human turd parentheses poop comma crap.

TREY GERRALD:

end parentheses pool dash Antlers at vail.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh My God, is it?

CHELSEY DONN:

No.

TREY GERRALD:

So here we go.

TREY GERRALD:

The human turd pool at the Antlers.

TREY GERRALD:

How can you trust a hotel that lets a guest swim in a pool polluted by human feces, and that

TREY GERRALD:

Quote, my daughter swam down to pick up a rock that turned out to be feces!

CHELSEY DONN:

[GASP]

TREY GERRALD:

Parenthesis, poop, comma, turd, comma, crap, end parentheses and Antlers At Vail

TREY GERRALD:

First allow me to say that I am no kid and I've traveled all over the United

TREY GERRALD:

This was caps.

TREY GERRALD:

The worst experience I and my family have had dot dot dot anywhere.

TREY GERRALD:

Swimming with poop or feces was made worse by an uncaring slash unpleasant

TREY GERRALD:

I've been using TripAdvisor for over a decade and find it to offer critical

TREY GERRALD:

The reason I use TripAdvisor is that my family time is precious and it is critical that

TREY GERRALD:

For this reason, it's important to share our experience at the Antlers At Vail and encourage

TREY GERRALD:

Pool on Friday, August 21st, my family went down to the pool for one last swim.

TREY GERRALD:

At this point, we had stayed at the Antlers At Vail for nearly a week.

TREY GERRALD:

It's worth noting that we visited the pool every day.

TREY GERRALD:

My daughter and I jumped into the pool and played with a water torpedo for what

TREY GERRALD:

See had noticed quote-unquote rocks on the bottom of the pool and swam

TREY GERRALD:

When she grabbed the first rock it's squished in her hand.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh, yep.

TREY GERRALD:

We had been swimming in human feces the entire time.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you open your eyes underwater?

TREY GERRALD:

Does some pool water ever slip into your mouth by accident?

TREY GERRALD:

Yep.

TREY GERRALD:

My daughter swam down to a human turd with her eyes open and grabbed it, thinking it was a rock.

TREY GERRALD:

Welcome to the quote Human Turd Pool by Antlers at Vail!

TREY GERRALD:

We vacated the pool and went to our room for hot soapy showers.

TREY GERRALD:

When I reported the feces to Justin at the front desk, I was told the pool was closed.

TREY GERRALD:

Maintenance was gone for the day and he was sorry about that.

TREY GERRALD:

He didn't seem overly concerned about human crap in the pool!

TREY GERRALD:

Later, he called back to tell me they were going to close the pool and

TREY GERRALD:

What a concept.

TREY GERRALD:

The next day I received a call from Kim who informed me.

TREY GERRALD:

She was the assistant general manager.

TREY GERRALD:

Kim confirms that housekeeping was to be at the pool every hour to wipe down chairs and

TREY GERRALD:

She also shared that that was okay because the Antlers At Vail disclose

TREY GERRALD:

She tried to quote unquote, sell me on the idea that the Antlers wasn't responsible for the pool.

TREY GERRALD:

Then oddly, she asked what they could do to make us happy.

TREY GERRALD:

She said, they obviously couldn't give us a condo for life, but they were very sorry and would do

TREY GERRALD:

She seemed reasonable and fair.

TREY GERRALD:

I later called back and asked Kim to comp our stay.

TREY GERRALD:

And I thought that was the very least the Antlers At Vail could do.

TREY GERRALD:

On Wednesday.

TREY GERRALD:

The 27th parentheses, we checked out Saturday, the 22nd, I received a call from Magdalena King GM.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

It took six days for the GM to bother to call.

TREY GERRALD:

She acted very concerned and requested.

TREY GERRALD:

I rehash the entire story.

TREY GERRALD:

After I shared the story, once again, she completely changed her attitude and tone.

TREY GERRALD:

She denied that the Antlers At Vail had any responsibility for the pool and that they

TREY GERRALD:

To recap, we swam in a pool contaminated by three chunks of human feces.

The rest of the hotel:

Beds.

The rest of the hotel:

The beds are very hard and uncomfortable and they alone are enough reason

The rest of the hotel:

I couldn't wait to get into my own bed at home.

The rest of the hotel:

AC.

The rest of the hotel:

Initially the AC system in the unit didn't function, I found that a breaker was flipped.

The rest of the hotel:

So I was able to get the one in the living room on.

The rest of the hotel:

The master bedroom, AC never functioned and due to COVID.

The rest of the hotel:

We were told that they were limiting maintenance visits.

The rest of the hotel:

Humidifiers.

The rest of the hotel:

The one in the room was broken and the one they sent up seemed to function,

The rest of the hotel:

So both were broken.

The rest of the hotel:

Ugh.

The rest of the hotel:

This place could be amazing, but it's more like an Airbnb gone bad with an

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh, my God,

TREY GERRALD:

four people have found this helpful and it was written in 2020.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm exhausted.

TREY GERRALD:

What a journey, huh?

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow.

CHELSEY DONN:

So much to unpack, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

I want to tell you, they lay out roughly the dates they were there.

TREY GERRALD:

So I looked to see what the three bedroom suite for August would be for a week and it's $4,620.

TREY GERRALD:

Just keep that in your noggin.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow.

CHELSEY DONN:

That's a lot of money.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

First and foremost, complete mismanagement and lack of communication between the team.

CHELSEY DONN:

Is it the Antlers fault that some guests like let's go with the

CHELSEY DONN:

There was a guest that stayed at this hotel.

CHELSEY DONN:

Allowed.

CHELSEY DONN:

I would hope a child to go into the pool and their child went to the bathroom in

CHELSEY DONN:

Right.

CHELSEY DONN:

And so are they responsible in the fact that like it was their staff that pooped in the pool?

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, no, but when something like that happens, you have to do everything and they, I think they

TREY GERRALD:

Really?!

CHELSEY DONN:

I, I do actually.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah, I do, because I think that this is like, that is so it's one thing.

CHELSEY DONN:

If they just like stepped in the pool and saw it and ran out, you know what I mean?

CHELSEY DONN:

I was like thinking it was like that scene in, um, in Caddyshack where they like to see it like

CHELSEY DONN:

But like, this was like, they were interacting with like, it's just so gross.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, the Review!

CHELSEY DONN:

is gross.

CHELSEY DONN:

The score.

CHELSEY DONN:

the word squish.

CHELSEY DONN:

I nearly puked.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, that daughter learned a very valuable lesson that day!

CHELSEY DONN:

Don't grab the rocks at the bottom of the pool!

TREY GERRALD:

Mmm-hmmm!

CHELSEY DONN:

But like, I mean, it was interesting.

CHELSEY DONN:

I feel like it kind of went on a journey.

CHELSEY DONN:

There were moments where I thought Andrew was a Ken.

TREY GERRALD:

Male Karen.

TREY GERRALD:

Yep.

CHELSEY DONN:

Male Karen.

CHELSEY DONN:

Cause he was just

CHELSEY DONN:

-- VOICEOVER: Oh my God, It's a Karen--

TREY GERRALD:

KEN!

CHELSEY DONN:

Ken!

CHELSEY DONN:

Just because like they were going on and on.

CHELSEY DONN:

And like what about when they were like rock feces, turd, crap, crap poo...

CHELSEY DONN:

They just had like a million.

CHELSEY DONN:

They basically like search the synonyms and then copy paste it.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

I think this is a perfect segue.

TREY GERRALD:

Just we have to straight away I think that Andrew is going after people like

TREY GERRALD:

They're trying to throw in as many zinging popping words to catch

TREY GERRALD:

I have never in my life.

TREY GERRALD:

I have never seen a Review!

TREY GERRALD:

like.

TREY GERRALD:

There's literally the introductory statement followed by two enters.

TREY GERRALD:

Then there's a quote, just a quote of like the meat and potatoes of this.

TREY GERRALD:

Review!

TREY GERRALD:

my daughter.

CHELSEY DONN:

I wrote that down because there was a quote end quote.

CHELSEY DONN:

I, I, I started that, like what?

CHELSEY DONN:

They actually, they quoted themselves in the,

TREY GERRALD:

themselves

CHELSEY DONN:

in the beginning.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeesh.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Isn't that weird?

CHELSEY DONN:

Very strange.

TREY GERRALD:

And then they do a little statement, like a personal statement paragraph

TREY GERRALD:

And then they break down.

TREY GERRALD:

Pool.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah, which goes on forever beds, AC humidifiers, and then there's a conclusion at the end.

TREY GERRALD:

So like an Andrew must be a professor.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

This could be submitted.

CHELSEY DONN:

This could be handed in is what you're saying.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

They definitely did a spell check on this.

TREY GERRALD:

The only spelling error he says C had noticed quote, unquote rocks.

TREY GERRALD:

And they meant to say she had noticed.

CHELSEY DONN:

Right, right, right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Right.

CHELSEY DONN:

I like the fact that Andrew decided to point out to us that they were not a kid!

TREY GERRALD:

Very important,

CHELSEY DONN:

you know, personally grateful that he pointed that out.

CHELSEY DONN:

Also, what about like the expectation of every time I travel with my family, it

CHELSEY DONN:

I think those are very high expectations taking out of consideration, the

TREY GERRALD:

You know, I think it's interesting in context, because I think it's a funny

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

I was really following your reasoning as like, so is the hotel

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, I th okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Are they responsible?

CHELSEY DONN:

No, but is it their responsibility to deal with it in the way that like a customer is always.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like,

TREY GERRALD:

and Andrew mentions at the end COVID.

TREY GERRALD:

And so this was written in August, 2020.

TREY GERRALD:

So you would think that they would really be stringent.

CHELSEY DONN:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

And even if they had said like, oh my God, I'm mortified.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm so sorry that this happened before our staff could have seen it.

CHELSEY DONN:

We obviously would have addressed it right away.

CHELSEY DONN:

What's very strange.

CHELSEY DONN:

Is all the back and forth between the staff to me.

CHELSEY DONN:

Right?

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Justin is the first line of defense.

CHELSEY DONN:

Now my opinion on Justin is I feel like he must be new or young or something like that, because

CHELSEY DONN:

It is like the first thing that you do, Justin obviously didn't know that.

CHELSEY DONN:

So Justin then obviously picked up the phone and called somebody else.

CHELSEY DONN:

And that person was like, of course, apologize and say, we're going to empty the pool.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like, are you crazy?

CHELSEY DONN:

You don't know that you should have told them that when they came in.

CHELSEY DONN:

And up until like the comp portion, I was like, oh, it does seem like they're handling it.

CHELSEY DONN:

Well, like, obviously we can't give you a lifetime, you know, stay at our condo.

CHELSEY DONN:

But.

CHELSEY DONN:

Anything short of that we will do.

CHELSEY DONN:

So at that point in the Review!

CHELSEY DONN:

I was thinking, all right, like it's a gross, terrible situation,

CHELSEY DONN:

And at least they're taking accountability.

CHELSEY DONN:

It seems like this Justin Guy didn't really know what he was talking about.

CHELSEY DONN:

They're they're wanting to do something.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

And then This woman calls up and is like trying to reneg what was already said,

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

So do you think that Andrew is being truthful or shady?

CHELSEY DONN:

I think Andrew was being truthful.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think Andrew is appalled.

CHELSEY DONN:

They obviously really pride themselves on their ability to describe scenarios at length and

TREY GERRALD:

Right.

TREY GERRALD:

I always feel this way when something really negative happens.

TREY GERRALD:

Like it's even just looking at it in print.

TREY GERRALD:

There's like 12 paragraphs about the pool.

TREY GERRALD:

And then there's two sentences about the beds, four sentences about the AAC,

TREY GERRALD:

So I feel like Andrew's tacking on other things that were subpar.

TREY GERRALD:

Like they're just, they're choosing to list the things that were terrible

TREY GERRALD:

Which, you know, makes sense.

CHELSEY DONN:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

So,

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, okay so, do you think that this was a fluke or do you

CHELSEY DONN:

It does make me wonder if maybe some of these employees that had been there for

CHELSEY DONN:

And I think that unfortunately, the people that are running the hotel, they

CHELSEY DONN:

So, if there was a change, it can have us substantial impact.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think that they'll put up a picture of Justin and some words under it?

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't think justin is going to last.

TREY GERRALD:

He Probably doesn't work there anymore.

TREY GERRALD:

It's hard for me to say if the pool experience is going to be a common or a fluke, I think

TREY GERRALD:

As far as the beds.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, I think that sleeping preferences are so crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

You can buy firm mattress, whatever, whatever.

TREY GERRALD:

The ACS, I don't understand.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, that seems complicated.

TREY GERRALD:

I also don't even understand the point of view humidifier.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't, I don't get what the point does that something to do with,

CHELSEY DONN:

if the air is very dry then it causes

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh.

TREY GERRALD:

It's

CHELSEY DONN:

right.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

There there's some impacts for me there.

TREY GERRALD:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

Humor.

TREY GERRALD:

Is this humorous or we entertained grossed out.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm grossed out.

CHELSEY DONN:

Like I don't usually go over the poop humor, especially with the Review!.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't even know that you would call this poop humor, because this was a Review!

CHELSEY DONN:

about poop

CHELSEY DONN:

- TREY GERRALD: It's a Poop Tragedy.-

CHELSEY DONN:

It was not humorous.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is a poop tragedy, poop tragedy.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is a turd tragedy.

CHELSEY DONN:

This is a, gimme some synonyms, Trey.

TREY GERRALD:

Crap tragedy,

CHELSEY DONN:

crap Right?

CHELSEY DONN:

It's a tragedy.

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN:

I feel very conflicted about how to go about,

TREY GERRALD:

just think about the impact here.

TREY GERRALD:

That's how I'm going to try to assess this.

TREY GERRALD:

What is the impact for this resort for you?

TREY GERRALD:

Let's crown it that way.

TREY GERRALD:

How do you feel?

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

So here we go.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

VOICEOVER:

Total Score!

CHELSEY DONN:

Interesting.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

So I'm holding up three crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey is holding up four crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm giving Andrew three crowns because I think that the situation was very mishandled and it

CHELSEY DONN:

I think forever moving forward in my life, I will be impacted by Andrew in that every

CHELSEY DONN:

I will be taking an extra look And the three crowns are just validating that experience and

CHELSEY DONN:

So took off the two crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Pompacity.

CHELSEY DONN:

And also just because I don't think this is going to happen to every person that goes to Antlers.

CHELSEY DONN:

So that's why to three crowns.

CHELSEY DONN:

Why did you do four?

TREY GERRALD:

It's one of those interesting things.

TREY GERRALD:

When it comes to customer service, like hospitality, it's like

TREY GERRALD:

And then it seems that the assistant general manager try to like rectify.

TREY GERRALD:

And then they had to report to the GM who like had a different, like, it's just, it all was bad

TREY GERRALD:

So I said four because it's sort of leaving like a little impression on me.

TREY GERRALD:

And when I'm comparing that.

TREY GERRALD:

How many did I say there's 10 one-star reviews compared to six hundred and

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, that's pretty uneven.

TREY GERRALD:

That's why I did four.

TREY GERRALD:

It's not humorous took it off.

TREY GERRALD:

And I don't think it's probably a common thing, so,

VOICEOVER:

There's A Reply!

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my, Ohmy is it from Margalena Or Whatever her name is.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my God.

CHELSEY DONN:

It is Oh my God I am so curious.

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay, here we go.

TREY GERRALD:

This is an M Night Shyamalan twist.

CHELSEY DONN:

GASP Stop it.

CHELSEY DONN:

I'm so scared.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh my God.

CHELSEY DONN:

Did the daughter poop?

CHELSEY DONN:

Was it the daughter who pooped?

CHELSEY DONN:

GASP Ohmigod I'm scared Okay Ok

TREY GERRALD:

Here we go.

TREY GERRALD:

This is a response from Magda King.

TREY GERRALD:

Who is the GM

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay

TREY GERRALD:

Dear Andrew, to tell you that I am sorry about your experience at

TREY GERRALD:

I am mortified by what happened.

TREY GERRALD:

We work very hard at guest satisfaction and have held top excellent rating positions and

TREY GERRALD:

For many, many years.

TREY GERRALD:

It is our reputation that enables us to compete with every other corporate hotel in Vail.

TREY GERRALD:

We yet, again, closely reviewed the video footage from that evening at the pool.

TREY GERRALD:

It very clearly shows a timeline of events that appears to be different

TREY GERRALD:

This is a bullet list by the way,

TREY GERRALD:

7:00 PM your daughter playing in the pool and coming to tell you something, at which point you

TREY GERRALD:

Next bullet, just after 8:00 PM.

TREY GERRALD:

Still not having been notified of the issue by you.

TREY GERRALD:

Our staff closes and covers the pool for the night.

TREY GERRALD:

Next bullet 8:45 PM.

TREY GERRALD:

Our staff received a call from you reporting the issue.

TREY GERRALD:

Our front desk agent immediately contacted our chief engineer who then proceeded to

TREY GERRALD:

Following CDC guidelines, the pool remained closed for 36 hours to be sure that all

TREY GERRALD:

Our priority is always the contentment, health and safety of all of our guests.

TREY GERRALD:

We have the most stringent COVID-19 sanitation processes in place.

TREY GERRALD:

Continuing to leave rooms 24 hours between guests and much more.

TREY GERRALD:

The pool area is no different.

TREY GERRALD:

We took the issue very seriously and immediately took steps to ensure

TREY GERRALD:

I wish you would have reported this immediately so that you could have seen this in person.

TREY GERRALD:

The context of your conversation was that of demanding a full refund of a week long, stay in

TREY GERRALD:

In fact, in the final conversation I had with you, you told me that if I didn't

TREY GERRALD:

And we believe that the compensation that we offered was fair.

TREY GERRALD:

Given the circumstances of the event as shown in our surveillance footage.

TREY GERRALD:

Warmest, regards, Magdalena, I.

TREY GERRALD:

King.

TREY GERRALD:

Whaaaat?

CHELSEY DONN:

I think the daughter pooped in the pool.

TREY GERRALD:

Do you think?

CHELSEY DONN:

Is that what happened?

TREY GERRALD:

I was under the impression that Andrew was freaking out and they had to go

TREY GERRALD:

So obviously the daughter didn't squish the poop in her hand, also Magdalena highlights

TREY GERRALD:

- CHELSEY DONN: And saying that

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

And it's interesting that Andrew says that the assistant said, obviously we

TREY GERRALD:

And Magdalena is saying you were demanding lifetime

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

This and future visits, which they never mentioned in the review.

TREY GERRALD:

And so, I don't know, there's always two sides to every story, but there

TREY GERRALD:

And I think that Magdalena, my opinion is they handled this retort very well.

CHELSEY DONN:

I think so too.

CHELSEY DONN:

I mean, especially because they started like, not only am I sorry, but I am mortified,

TREY GERRALD:

which is what we were saying.

TREY GERRALD:

in our review.

TREY GERRALD:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

Yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

It does seem like they're doing what I said I would have wanted.

TREY GERRALD:

But It seems like Andrew is trying to spin this into getting a freebie.

TREY GERRALD:

And it seems like Magdalena is catching that.

TREY GERRALD:

And it's saying, we'll give you one night, but we have reviewed surveillance footage and

TREY GERRALD:

So now we're not giving you a lifetime free room and we're not comping the week,

CHELSEY DONN:

we're not necessarily accusing your daughter of doing it.

TREY GERRALD:

I don't get that the daughter did it.

TREY GERRALD:

You think the daughter did it?

CHELSEY DONN:

That's how the vibes I was getting listeners, let me know if I'm just crazy with

CHELSEY DONN:

Cool.

CHELSEY DONN:

Play cool.

CHELSEY DONN:

We're just come over here.

CHELSEY DONN:

And we're going to go in the hot tub for a little bit.

CHELSEY DONN:

So they come up with this like reverse engineered plan to like call down and

CHELSEY DONN:

I don't know.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean I see the narrative, how the daughter whispered something-

CHELSEY DONN:

All of a sudden it's becoming like a JonBenet Ramsey situation here.

TREY GERRALD:

Oh my gosh.

TREY GERRALD:

Burke with the pineapple.

TREY GERRALD:

Um, all right.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, God, it is interesting though, because like, in these are reviews.

TREY GERRALD:

It's like someone is stating their case and it, you just take it for what it is and then you

TREY GERRALD:

They are very committed to customer satisfaction, I mean, exactly.

TREY GERRALD:

It is number three out of 52 for a reason, you know,

CHELSEY DONN:

just like magda said.

TREY GERRALD:

and also very interesting.

TREY GERRALD:

It's crazy to only have 10, one star reviews.

TREY GERRALD:

If this is a resort that has been around where a housekeeper was there

TREY GERRALD:

That's crazy.

TREY GERRALD:

Wow.

TREY GERRALD:

Now I'm really thinking that Andrew had a fluke experience and I'm not sure

TREY GERRALD:

That's the power of these replies.

TREY GERRALD:

So that really just kudos to Magdalena.

TREY GERRALD:

She deserves a crown because she really flipped that for me as a reader.

CHELSEY DONN:

Magdalena.

CHELSEY DONN:

Good job.

CHELSEY DONN:

Wow.

CHELSEY DONN:

I just love being able to hear three sides.

TREY GERRALD:

Absolutely.

CHELSEY DONN:

Of this story.

TREY GERRALD:

And with that, my queen here we are, we are walking hands in hands into the

CHELSEY DONN:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

Who are you inducting today for?

VOICEOVER:

My Royal Highness

CHELSEY DONN:

Today, I'm going to induct.

CHELSEY DONN:

WiFi as My Royal Highness, what did we do without WiFi, you know, I remember the

CHELSEY DONN:

Okay.

CHELSEY DONN:

But when AOL came out and it was like,

CHELSEY DONN:

yeah.

CHELSEY DONN:

And the CD rom to like update your AOL software and stuff.

CHELSEY DONN:

And, you know, my mom used to play this game, but it was called like Slingo and God, I mean,

CHELSEY DONN:

You know what I mean?

CHELSEY DONN:

So WiFi just really changed the game for all of us.

CHELSEY DONN:

And I'm just so grateful because we use wifi every single day and we should stop and say, thank you.

CHELSEY DONN:

Thank you, wifi for making this podcast possible for making.

CHELSEY DONN:

All so many things that we depend on in our lives possible.

CHELSEY DONN:

You are My Royal Highness wifi, and today I acknowledge you and I induct you with this honor.

TREY GERRALD:

I mean, wifi, the days before a wifi, I remember going away

CHELSEY DONN:

Exactly.

CHELSEY DONN:

What did we do?

CHELSEY DONN:

We were like dinosaurs practically.

CHELSEY DONN:

All right.

CHELSEY DONN:

Trey.

CHELSEY DONN:

So tell us, who are you inducting tonight for your Royal Highness

TREY GERRALD:

all right.

TREY GERRALD:

So I'm giving credit to my brother-in-law Evan.

TREY GERRALD:

Cause he brought this up.

CHELSEY DONN:

What a mench

TREY GERRALD:

he lives on.

TREY GERRALD:

I want to induct the reverse cameras on cars.

CHELSEY DONN:

Oh yes.

CHELSEY DONN:

Good one.

TREY GERRALD:

Like back in the day, when we were learning how to drive, we didn't have

TREY GERRALD:

Squirrel that we're going to run over.

TREY GERRALD:

Like once you have a car that has that updated feature, like I will

TREY GERRALD:

I don't even look in real life, which is crazy when I stop and think about that.

CHELSEY DONN:

It's definitely saved lives.

TREY GERRALD:

Yes.

TREY GERRALD:

It's such a great feature that like taking cameras, putting them in places that

CHELSEY DONN:

Genius.

TREY GERRALD:

So I am inducting the rear car cameras so that you can see what

TREY GERRALD:

When you're going toot toot, with your car,

CHELSEY DONN:

beep beep

TREY GERRALD:

you can see therefore rear view cameras cars are My Royal Highness.

TREY GERRALD:

hard to say it's a tongue twister, but it's still My Royal Highness.

TREY GERRALD:

All right.

TREY GERRALD:

Well, we did it.

TREY GERRALD:

That's another entry closer to the truth.
