Katz here we are at the end of season eight. We was just talking about doing a summary and. So is it Susan for. How many seasons. If we've done on how we've done over a hundred. Podcast. But it just things crazy that we're this far into it now. Yeah, again. I keep saying it, but it is. We say every time, every season it's like, wow, how do we do this? And speak to all these amazing guests? And of course, one of the exciting things there sees them was we heat number one in the apple podcast charts for under, uh, great Britain education, how to. And we hit that number one spot. Yeah. I suppose that's a great achievement. Isn't it for? Not just for us for doing it. But for people that listen and take away. Oh, hints. Tips and, you know, enjoy listening to our guests. Yeah, it was great because we've often charted we regularly get into the top 20 we've often got into the top 10. But normally to get that number one spot is quite hard to do it. When you're working organically, which is what we do. So at no point, have we ever ran a. Concerted campaign to try and get people to, um, to get us in the chart. So, yeah, to hear, to, to hit that number one spot organically just through our listeners is amazing. So we, we have to start with a huge, thank you. For helping us achieve that. Thank you again. I could say loads, but I won't because I'll be here all day. But yeah. Thanks. So let's wrap up the season. Like we often do by just doing a quick summary of some of the fantastic guests that we've had on this season. Yeah. And, the first. Podcast was with Jess. Jess was the person who. Had a, an intensive course with me with a test at the end of the week. And great for us. And we recorded bits as we went through the week. and resulted in her passing a test on the Friday. But yeah, a great week Great experience for me. Great experience for her. and we hope other people have. gained a lot of experience from that as well. Yeah, I've really enjoyed editing that because of course I wasn't part of it. So to have that fly on the wall type position. Of listening to his, it was almost like a diary of listening to Jessie's thoughts as she progressed through the week. So I really enjoyed listening to her journey and I think that was a fantastic way to open up the season. So we also had some fantastic guests, and some that I would never really associate with. Our podcast really, but we had Allen from the horse society and he was talking about how we can all shh. Share the road and work together on the roads as well. So we've horses and cars. and that was really interesting. Yeah. And I think. Let you say you wouldn't automatically associate the British horse society with comment on the driving confidence podcast, but it was that thing of. How do we help people feel more confident? When they meet horses on the road. And then when we got into the conversation, there was so many parallels. The idea of putting yourself into the different positions that. Understanding things from the different perspective. So the perspective of the horse rider, the perspective of the horse, as well as you, the driver and other drivers around you. So it was a really interesting conversation. We've also had some friends on as well that. Work colleagues. Stuart was talking about the goals for driving education. This is something we do in training. Well, most driving instructors doing training, but. Most people would never know what it means. So trying to put it to the wider general public about how those goals can actually. Affect what you do and plan your journey and driving. Yes. I felt quite strongly. That goes for driving education. Shouldn't just be for driving instructors is what is it that driving instructors are trying to inform drivers about? And this is the goal is to educate drivers goes for driving education. So what is it that drivers should know? Because. not everybody knows about it. So it was a different twist for Stewart. I know because he's much more used to talking to driving instructors, but I wanted to get the message out. To our audience. Because we had where you don't just have learners and. Instructors listening to this. We have people that are actually drivers. And I think once we talked about that, It gave us an insight into how we can actually look at what we do. Are we safe to drive? Is there a better option or, you know, Is there different ways that we need to look at things in driving as well. So really interesting. Yeah. And then on the same tape, talking about friends who come on and things that normally are done with driving instructors, of course, our friend Terry came on to talk about games. But I think there was more outtakes than there was actually, content. Only for that gun. Um, we, we, it was uncontrollable giggles through most of this. But Terry we've gained was is, is great because sometimes you can use. Games as a source of, you know, controlling the car or making sure that you, you know, you're, you're keeping your mind on the drive in as well. Yeah, again, this was, one that was with the twist because generally this is something that's talked about among driving instructors, but okay. What games can we play with our learners to help them learn the skills? So. Again, my take on it is these things aren't just for learner drivers. That's a drive. And just because you've got a license doesn't mean that you can't do the same things and enhance your skills. In you using the same types of games. So it was, it was. A different take on a subject there's normally for learner drivers. So we also had Steve, another person from our training. who had never driven over 40 miles before since passing his test? And we got him to drive on the motorways. We got him driving at 70 miles an hour. We've got him driving to work. He fro airport. So, again, lots of different things going on with Steve that I'm hoping other people can take away from that podcast and think, well, okay, I could do this and just notice what. Steve was saying and how we did it, that could help you as well. Yeah, we were really keen to try and get some real life stories in this season. And it just happens that these are people that we've worked with jess. At the beginning. And then Steve now very kindly given up their time to record an episode because as Steve said, he didn't think he would ever. Have the feeling that he could enjoy driving. So for him that was game changing and it is possible to change the way that you feel about driving. It's just that it may take some. Work. Yeah. Yeah. But I suppose with that, everybody's different. Aren't. And we had Simon from five on talking about neurodiversity, and that was enough, a great podcast where we, we talked about. Various different things. And it was so enlightening into how we interact and what we do and what we like and what we don't like. So, yeah, I thought that was a great podcast. Yep. That's it. We're all unique. So we've also had a couple of other guests who we've come across in other business groups and we've seen the work that they do. And they're like, oh, can you give that a twist in terms of driving anxiety? And come and talk. So one of those was Emma Starlin who came on and talked about resistance. Why is it that we're so resistant? To making changes that might benefit us down further down the line in our life. And again, I took something away from this cause. Obviously, I get the chance to talk to these people. And Emma mentioned four questions that I could use. Yeah. That would really sort of like open up. Conversations or peoples. Actually do they want it? Yes. You know, what's holding them back. So you gain a real insight food with those four questions. Yeah. I'm going to be using from here on in. Yeah, absolutely. I've recommended this one to a few people where. On the one hand, we want to be able to drive confidently and happily, but on the other hand, something holds us back from doing anything about it. So that safety side of us. So Emma spoke brilliantly about that. And I think those four questions that she gave us gave you the listeners. Could be really helpful there for. Finding out a bit more doing that detective work. Why is it that I'm not prepared to take this further and do something about it? And then of course we had our Nova who you may well have seen in all sorts of magazines and newspapers. She's quoted, she writes articles. Lots of other people. So I was delighted that she, um, came on and did an episode with us. And she talked about this. A couple of anxiety. And it was again, a new take on how you can look at it, isn't it, you know? When you looked at the circle and the free different points around it is like, Oh, yeah, that, that makes sense because that leaves it to that. And that leads to that. And then you might go back again and say, yeah, it was real. It's definitely a real insight into anxiety. For me again, it's. Yeah. And I think there's, I think there was a lot in that episode. That will resonate with lots of people. So. And he's set apart of this is knowing that you're not alone knowing that it's not just, you. This is part of being human. And I think that's that normalizing approach that knowing that these things are our brains work in this way. and so we're not alone in the way that we feel. And we also, we did a. Listener question as well. So we took a question from one of our listeners who sent in a message to us. And we, we talked about that and gave advice, a few tips and hints, and yeah, that was quite an interesting pocket. Cause we don't really know who we're talking to. No. It was like, okay, well this, this roll with this. And let's see how this works. It's always interesting because when we work with somebody, we ask loads and loads of questions. So when we are doing it this way round, we have to work with. What. I said within a minute, I'm on a SpeakPipe message. So I it's a great challenge for us is. it gets us working and thinking and what would we do in that situation? How would we deal with this? And so, yeah, so hopefully that answered a few of those. Uh, panic attack questions that people may have. Yeah. So. A great season. All in all really diverse, really, there was no theme to this season at all. Oh, no, the tool, but there again, I think sometimes we've just had great guests and people and on, so thank you to everyone that's taken time out to, to help us with this season. Yeah, it's been great. It really has. And so we will take another season break now. And we will be coming back in the new year. Obviously we won't leave you with nothing. So there will be some small bonus shorts that come out every week to keep you going. And they will be coming from old episodes. So it might give you some incentive to go back and have a relisten. to some of the previous episodes, because we've now got quite a library of episodes there for you to choose from. And we will be. Having a think about season nine, if you have any questions, please get in touch because again, those questions. Yeah. There'd be other people that are in the same situation or something very similar. So put your questions to us and we'll answer them. Yeah, definitely. And I've got, I've got a bit of a. Colleen have an idea for season nine. We've never really, we sort of touched on it a bit this season, where we brought in some friends. So we have access to. Some of the top trainers. Within the driver training industry, some of the top trainers who train driving instructors. I think we need to use them for season nine. I think, I think we need to tap into that resource. for our listeners, you don't have to, like I said, a couple on these ones. These things don't all have to be for learners. They can be for full license holders. Yeah. So I I've got this in mind. I think. I think we might see if we can tap into. Our network for season nine and use them a bit more. Yeah. I think so, too. Yeah. Lovely. So, if you want to get in touch, all of our contact details are in the show notes as always. And all that leaves us to say is until next time, have a great day, whatever you're doing.
