Speaker B

There is this moment that no one really prepares you for when it comes to business or building a career.

Speaker B

And it is when the DMs finally start rolling in.

Speaker B

You finally have clients lined up at the door, your offer finally starts selling, and everything you wanted is finally happening.

Speaker B

But instead of feeling proud, you actually feel panicked, or all of a sudden you are overwhelmed, you are constantly behind, you're terrified of what's going to break next, and you almost have this moment of, hold on a second.

Speaker B

I know I'm supposed to be happy right now.

Speaker B

I know I'm supposed to be so thankful because this is everything that I have worked so hard for.

Speaker B

This is everything that I've prayed for.

Speaker B

And now all of a sudden, instead of feeling burnout from failure, I'm feeling burnout.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker B

And I do think there is this hidden guilt.

Speaker B

And because it's a hidden guilt, we don't talk about it.

Speaker B

And if we don't talk about it, we're not aware of it.

Speaker B

And if we're not aware of it, we are not doing anything to fix it.

Speaker B

So today I just want to talk about this.

Speaker B

In this short and sweet episode, if you are in this situation or if you have been in the situation before and you're like, you know what?

Speaker B

I should be so happy right now.

Speaker B

I should be over the moon.

Speaker B

And you definitely have a heart of gratitude.

Speaker B

But all of a sudden you were in this momentum trap where growth starts to feel worse than your struggle.

Speaker B

And if you're not careful, you can self sabotage and your body can be like, you know what?

Speaker B

Success is not safe.

Speaker B

I need to go back over to my comfort zone where I felt comfortable.

Speaker B

Like, yeah, I definitely wanted more, but I felt more comfortable over there.

Speaker B

So let's talk about this.

Speaker B

There is a weird safety in the struggle.

Speaker B

Like at least when things aren't working, no one is expecting anything from you.

Speaker B

When you aren't getting any likes on social media, when your phone isn't ringing, when your offers are not flying out off the shelf, when you've got, you know, a back room full of inventory that's not moving, like nobody's expecting anything from You.

Speaker B

And there's almost this, like, false sense of, oh, there's no pressure.

Speaker B

Like, I can only go up from here.

Speaker B

But when momentum hits, the stakes really start to skyrocket.

Speaker B

And suddenly you are drowning in the very thing that you've prayed for.

Speaker B

Because all of a sudden, you answering every email, delivering every offer, posting every day, and you're doing the things that you were doing when you weren't, quote, unquote, successful yet, but now you're having to do all of those things, and you're having to take care of client demand and customer questions and ensuring that you were actually delivering on what you promised.

Speaker B

And sometimes it can feel like you are holding your business together with hope and duct tape.

Speaker B

Can I please get an amen?

Speaker B

And the thing is, is that most of us, especially if you are a solopreneur or maybe an entrepreneur with a small team or a growing team, most of us are stuck in reactive mode.

Speaker B

And there was a study done, and it said that most female Solopreneurs spend over 60% of their time on operations instead of on growth.

Speaker B

So what that means for you, as a solopreneur or as an entrepreneur, is your growth is actually going to stall out.

Speaker B

And what we see happen a lot is that you'll have this momentum, and all of a sudden you will get so bogged down in delivering on what you actually promised, so delivering on your offer, delivering on your client experience, and you'll have this momentum for a little bit.

Speaker B

And then once you get everyone taken care of, all of a sudden, you'll look around again and you'll be like, oh, shoot, I lost my momentum.

Speaker B

And you are right back to the start.

Speaker B

And that is where a lot of entrepreneurs end up, is in this cycle, in this loop of like, okay, I am trying to get clients, I'm trying to get customers.

Speaker B

I'm trying to, you know, build the.

Speaker B

Build the brand, grow with marketing.

Speaker B

And then you get the momentum and everybody comes in, and all of a sudden you spend all your time weighed down, taking care of them as you should, but you're just kind of running around, you're very reactive.

Speaker B

And then you get everybody taken care of, and you are right back where you started, where you're like, okay, I've got to go get clients.

Speaker B

I've got to go get customers.

Speaker B

I've got to go, you know, now I've got to regenerate new growth.

Speaker B

And the thing with this is, it is not laziness.

Speaker B

You are probably working harder than you've ever worked in your whole life.

Speaker B

So we need to shift from being hard on ourselves to being like, you know what, this is not laziness.

Speaker B

This is actually an identity crisis.

Speaker B

You might have built a business around doing it all and now that it is working, your body actually doesn't know how to hold it.

Speaker B

And this isn't about necessarily hiring a team.

Speaker B

I think that team are very important in the right context.

Speaker B

I do think, and I have seen this with my own eyes, that if someone hires a team with no structure or they hire a team with no systems, they are literally just outsourcing their chaos.

Speaker B

So if you bring someone in, they are not going to magically fix everything.

Speaker B

Like hiring a team or hiring a VA or hiring whoever is not going to be the magic solution to your problem.

Speaker B

In fact, if you hire someone and you don't have systems in place and you don't have a really structured backend, it is actually going to end up sometimes being another thing on your to do list.

Speaker B

Then you have to babysit the employee.

Speaker B

They may be asking you a thousand questions because there's no policies, there's no SOPs.

Speaker B

They aren't sure what's going on.

Speaker B

And one of two things is going to happen.

Speaker B

They're either going to constantly be checking in with you, hey, how do I do this?

Speaker B

Hey, how do you want this?

Speaker B

Hey, what do you want this to look like?

Speaker B

And at that point you're like, well shoot, I could have done this myself.

Speaker B

Or they're gonna take it upon themselves and do it the way they wanna do it.

Speaker B

And that might not align with the direction that you are wanting the business to go.

Speaker B

And we really wanna focus here on building structure that is strong enough to support the scale that you have already earned.

Speaker B

So if you were at the point where you are getting clients coming in and you are getting people interested in your offer, you have earned that.

Speaker B

You have ear right to be at the scaled portion of your business.

Speaker B

But at this point, you probably need to build some structure that is strong enough to hold you.

Speaker B

So let's talk about some things that you can do so that you don't have to burn it all down.

Speaker B

You don't have to be like, you know what, this dream is not for me.

Speaker B

What are some tangible things that you can do to actually shift your identity into?

Speaker B

Like, okay, I am the woman who can handle all of this.

Speaker B

First off, you don't just need to change your calendar or change your planner or find the secret tool.

Speaker B

You actually need to change who you are in your business.

Speaker B

So step back and think, okay?

Speaker B

Am I acting like the CEO?

Speaker B

Am I acting like the cso?

Speaker B

Am I actually making high level decisions?

Speaker B

Am I actually being strategic?

Speaker B

Am I actually looking at my finances from a business perspective?

Speaker B

Or am I just scrambling around doing admin work, being reactive all day long?

Speaker B

Number two, you can become the woman who protects your energy, prioritizes execution, and refuses to mistake chaos for success.

Speaker B

So this is going to look like reflection.

Speaker B

I love on Friday to just sit down.

Speaker B

I've got a list of questions that I ask myself every Friday.

Speaker B

And this isn't about looking back on the week ahead and being like, you know what?

Speaker B

I failed all week.

Speaker B

I dropped the ball on this.

Speaker B

I messed this up, I ruined this.

Speaker B

I should have closed that deal, but I said the wrong thing.

Speaker B

This is really just about looking back and being like, okay, this week was what it was.

Speaker B

I can't go back and change it.

Speaker B

Give yourself some wins, you know, build that confidence a little bit and then say, you know, what, where, where did I mess up?

Speaker B

Where did I fail?

Speaker B

And what can I learn from that moving forward?

Speaker B

And really, when you're looking from that lens, think about how can I protect my energy, how can I prioritize real execution, not just doing busy work, but doing things that are actually going to move your business forward and how can I ensure that I am not mistaking chaos for success?

Speaker B

It is so easy to get caught in the day to day of just running around like a chicken with your head cut off and telling yourself, well, this is just what it takes to be successful.

Speaker B

And that is certainly not true.

Speaker B

Now there are definitely going to be those days.

Speaker B

No matter how hard you plan, no matter how hard you try, where you are running around like a chicken with your head cut off.

Speaker B

In fact, that has been my week so far.

Speaker B

I feel like every day this week I have sat down around 1:00 clock, 1:30 and I'm like, okay, what have I actually gotten done today?

Speaker B

So there are definitely going to be those seasons, but we want to make sure that we are not stuck in that cycle long term.

Speaker B

We want to make sure this is happening.

Speaker B

You know, if there's a new launch or if you're shifting your branding or if you're adding a new product, maybe you are, you know, moving to a new location.

Speaker B

That's where I am at right now is I am moving into my new office.

Speaker B

And just logistically it's taken a lot to, you know, get the Internet on and get different things set up in my name and, you know, get my business license.

Speaker B

And that has taken Time away from where I would normally spend strategizing and big picture thinking.

Speaker B

It has definitely pulled me out of my routine.

Speaker B

And so I've definitely been off the last two weeks, but thankfully I have a lot of systems set up.

Speaker B

So when I do sit down at 1:30, I know exactly what I need to be working on.

Speaker B

And if you build systems that feel like relief, not something that is so rigid, that has to be perfect every single day, they can actually support your momentum instead of suffocating it.

Speaker B

So if you have systems and you have structure, you don't have to go, shoot, I missed that 9:30 time block that I was supposed to do.

Speaker B

My whole day is ruined, My whole week is ruined.

Speaker B

Doing.

Speaker B

You can sit down at 1:30 or 2:00 clock or 2:30 when you're finally getting to sit down for lunch and you can go, okay, this morning didn't go as planned.

Speaker B

My meeting at lunch didn't go as planned.

Speaker B

But you know what?

Speaker B

Now because I have systems in place, because I have structure, because I have, I've created a system to support myself, I know exactly what I need to get back to.

Speaker B

I know exactly what is a priority for me.

Speaker B

And, and especially in 2025, with social media, with the online space, there are 10,000 different things that you can be doing every single day.

Speaker B

And if you listen to the noise too much, you can easily come up with like 20 sheets of paper with 20,000 different ideas like it can get out of control very quickly.

Speaker B

And don't even get me started on ChatGPT.

Speaker B

ChatGPT will tell you that every idea is the best idea.

Speaker B

If you want some self validation, you just go ask ChatGPT a question and it's going to be like, yeah, that's the best idea ever.

Speaker B

You total need to do that.

Speaker B

But if you have systems in place that build your business the way you want it, the way you have it envisioned in your mind, what success is to you, what you want your business to look like in a year, three years, five years, you can go back to those systems, you can take your, your craziness from the morning or from the last couple of days and you can go, okay, I know that I need to take some things off of this list.

Speaker B

I might need to delegate some things and then I might need to defer some things, I might need to push some things off until next week or next month.

Speaker B

And I am going to focus on these three things today or these five things today.

Speaker B

And I'm going to ensure that I get these three things done and When I do that, I'm going to be in a place where I'm like, you know what?

Speaker B

There's some other things I would have loved to have gotten done today, but these three things were a priority, and I got those checked off my list.

Speaker B

And that's going to be different for all of us.

Speaker B

Our systems and our processes are all going to look different.

Speaker B

But just get in the habit of spending a couple of hours, maybe on a Friday, or if you prefer to get up Saturday morning, just spend some time really reflecting and asking yourself, like, where did I rock it?

Speaker B

Where was my big wins?

Speaker B

Like, I crushed it.

Speaker B

I was the boss, babe.

Speaker B

And where, you know, did I let some things slip through the crack?

Speaker B

Where do I need better boundaries?

Speaker B

Where do I need to protect my energy a little bit better?

Speaker B

Where do I need to ensure that I am not taking on so much that I can't get caught up when I get back to my desk or get back to my laptop or whatever it is?

Speaker B

So if you are in this season right now, please just know that you are not alone.

Speaker B

If you are scaling, if you are spinning, and if you are secretly wondering how long you can keep up with all this, you are not alone.

Speaker B

I am right here with you.

Speaker B

I would actually love to talk to you about this in the DMs on Instagram.

Speaker B

You can send me a voice note or you can message me at the Blakely Ramsey.

Speaker B

I have had the chance to talk to so many amazing women this week in voice notes.

Speaker B

And the really cool thing is that no matter what kind of business you're in or what kind of offer you provide or what kind of product you have, most of us are kind of going through the same thing and we are experiencing the same emotions.

Speaker B

And just having the chance to talk to someone else and express your feelings and then be like, oh, my gosh, that is literally exactly how I feel.

Speaker B

I cannot tell you how much better that will make you feel just to go, you know what?

Speaker B

This is hard.

Speaker B

And that means that I'm doing something worthy.

Speaker B

I am going after the vision that God placed on my heart and just knowing that and being able to bounce ideas off of, you know, your business bestie.

Speaker B

It can help so much.

Speaker B

So if you don't have a business, Bessie, I would love to be yours.

Speaker B

Like I said, message me on Instagram at the Blakely Ramsey.

Speaker B

I would certainly love to see you over there.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker B

Y' all know I love these short and sweet episodes.

Speaker B

If you are new here, these episodes are intended to be when you have a couple minutes in the car, if you're doing laundry, if you're doing the dishes, if you just need like a quick hit of motivation or a quick hit of like, you know what?

Speaker B

I need someone to just tell me that even though everything has gone wrong today and my life kind of feels like a tornado, that I'm still doing it right, that this, this business and this life stuff is hard and that everything's going to be okay.

Speaker B

So that's what these short and sweet episodes are for.

Speaker B

Just to wrap up the end of the week and give you a little.
