Michelle Hartzman:

Hello podcast fam. We have a really cool topic today. This podcast was actually given inspiration by one of the questions I was asked from one of the amazing attendees on the art of chills masterclass that I recently ran. And this question, the question that had come through was Michelle. I was giving an example of one of my clients on her success and how all of her offer sell. And she never launches. And it's because of the way in which we've built her business. And I had a question come through saying, well, Michelle, isn't it because of her brand as well, isn't it? Because you know, she's got followers and a warm community and people that wanna buy. and I was like, yes, but not really. And that's why I wanna have a conversation on this, like that. My voice naturally squeaks. And I answer that because I'm like, yeah, you're brand, but it's so much more than that. And that's really what I wanted to shed. Light on here, because I think so often in the online space, we can get really engulfed into if I just create a brand, like if I just create the most beautiful luxury vibes or if I just have the right colors or the beautiful aesthetic or the perfect feed, or if I'm like known for this one thing, if I just be able to brand everything will work and that's not always the case, actually 99% of the time. That's not the case. I've had people come to me. Thousands beyond thousands, beyond thousands of followers, like a community, and they're barely making any money. I've had people work with me that have a hundred to 200 less than 500 followers making 20, 30, 50 K plus months. And we do that together. And so that's where, like my perspective on this is like, eh, it's like your brand matters, but not really, like, not really, if I'm being completely honest and the truth is here, like, let's be real for a moment. I've never had somebody buy because they were like, Michelle, this graphic that you posted or your brand is. Is so good. No, what they say is like your vibe, Michelle, your vibe and what you stand for and you're messaging. It just resonates like that. Like I have to work with you. So that's what I wanna dive into today because I think so often we get caught up on the brand. Um, and yes, it's important to have a community that buys from you, but what will actually shift that and make that so much easier is a message is a message that people resonate. that essentially they want to buy from your fancy logo, your masterclass image. Doesn't really bring you sales, your perfect curated feed, the luxury vibes. The, the, you guys know a lot of people's branding looks the same right now. There's, it's either hot pink or it's like moody. And I don't really fall into either of those classes cause I don't wear hot pink. Um, love it, but I just don't own it. And I love my hot pink brands. I have clients that are hot pink, love it. I'm not shitting on it. Please know that I love it. I'm here for it. If I wore it, it would be in the brand. But like I'm a neutral girl. I also don't wear, like, I'm not like a smokey vibe Luxe brand because I'm like, I love Louis Vuitton. I love Cartier. I love my name brands, but I love Beem target. So it's like, we're both, we're both. And that, that ultimately becomes part of the brand. Right. And when it comes to like, feeling like, okay, I've gotta have this brand. Oftentimes it's like, we feel like we need to curate it. We need to brand it. We need to make it perfect. and if I'm being completely honest here, my brand was never on purpose. What we've created today. Like none of it really came from like, this is the brand, like the brand just created itself. And that's what I want to invite you to do one it's way more fun. It's way more authentic. And it's gonna make you a lot of money when you're doing it from this intentional place where it's just you. The end of the day, my brand is me. it screams me and it's consistent. All I wear is neutrals. That's just who I am. If you watch my stories this past weekend, I got a lot of comments. I went, I went to the beach and then I went shopping afterwards and I took a photo saying loving when a beach day turns into a shopping day and everything the Tryon closet was a neutral color. It was like white and beige and tan. And I had DMS that were like, so on brand for you. And I giggled. And I was like, I'm literally allergic to colors at this point. You know what I mean? And like, that's just who I am. That's what I wear. If you come to my house and you come in my closet, You will see things that are color that have tags on them. And it's not that I don't like it. I just rarely wear it. I am who I am. what's more important than branding is how you show up with your message, how you show up to your soulmate clients. that's what will create the brand. That's what create what will create the consistency. That's what will create people buying from you all of the time. And that's where, when I was asked this question in that masterclass, I was like, I see where this question is stemming from. But I also, like, I just wanna bring awareness that like, if you don't have a brand or tons of followers, it doesn't mean you can't make tons of money. Like fuck you kind of money. Like, I just, it's just not true. you have your message, right? And you create instant resonance. Like one of my mentors says instant resonance. I think she has that trademark. So I wanna always give credit where credits do. And when you create that instant resonance, and what that really means is you post something and it's like, you are reading their mind. They don't care what your branding's like. And here's the thing. My clients, my, my people, my C. they're never shocked when I release a new offer. I know at this point I can create anything, anything I can create, anything I could sell journals, which is not on brand for me. I write in my journal sometimes, and I share that, but like, it is not on brand for me to create merch. I've never done it before, but my community would buy it. I, they would buy it. I could create anything and they would buy it. And the reason for that is they're waiting for. they wait to see what I'm doing. And then I sell what I'm doing. And this is where, when you can do that, things are easy to fill up. Offers are easy to fill up. People already see you doing it. They want to learn how so you teach them. It's like literally the motto I live by in my business, I live by my community. Always buys. They're already waiting for it. They see me doing it and I sell what I'm doing. That's why it's so easy for me to fill up my offers and people already see me doing it so they wanna know how so I teach them. I wanna gonna sit with that. I think actually, speaking of journals, I think you could journal on that. maybe even create that into some affirmations here, but here's the thing that I never do. And I wanna pour this into you. I never go on social media and try to assess what's. The last time I posted a reel. I do not remember. I'd have to look at my Instagram and see when I posted one and it's not on purpose. It's not that I hate reels. It's not like I'm like going against the trends. I just prefer to write, I prefer to read content. That's like just how I consume content. I don't, I'm not like I just don't prefer to video myself all the time. Like, it's just not my favorite thing to do. Not that I'll, I prefer to be live and coaching and like in my Facebook group, like I will get on video. But like RS is just not my favorite thing. So I don't do it all the time. I just do it when I feel called to. And so I'm not trying to keep up with the trends. I'm not trying to follow other people's brands. I'm not trying to be something. I'm not something I never do. I never do this. I never scroll the feed or read what other people are trying to say before I post my content. My content sounds so like me, I speak in my content exactly how I would talk. and that's magnetic. And that is your brand, your words, and how you speak is your brand. You not following what's trending because you fudge hate it is your brand. I want you to think about this stuff. We get taught on branding, and I think it's important. Um, but I think we overlook this stuff. We overlook this stuff that's actually going to bring in. So I'll make clients and sales and money consistently because we're so caught up on the brand, the brand, I just simply don't follow. What's trending. I follow what, what works, what I know works. I tap into what I know works and then I do it. And then I teach. and you can do the same. That's why you guys know me at this point for like simple and effective. My brand. Isn't really ease cuz I work and like, yes, ease, but I really am an advocate for like, how can I make this easier? How can this work better? How can this be more effective? I'm constantly making things simpler in the business and making more. and that's something I always ask myself and then I'm like, okay, how can I teach this? But what most of us do is we overcomplicate it and we put way too much emphasis on the brand. We put way too, too much emphasis on things that just don't matter as much. We put way too much emphasis on trying to build authority. building a visual presence. Visual. Did I say vigil? you guys know we don't edit here. We don't edit. We're already too far along in this podcast. We don't edit here, but we focus too much on building authority, building a visual presence, looking a certain way or doing what maybe their coach is doing. You guys know, you guys see that all the time. You see it all the time. I barely watch my mentors. I love them. Love them. I pay them thousands of dollars. They're some of the best humans. I know. I like love them. And I've worked with, I have two mentors right now, and I've worked with both of them for an extensive amount of time. And I just love them. They're like a deep part of my life. At this point. I consider them very close friends, but I don't know what they're doing, cuz I don't need to because what can happen when we're constantly looking outside of ourselves? Constantly looking at what's gonna work on the brand. What's trending. How do I build authority and sound more authoritative than this person? How do I build the best visual presence? How do I look a certain way or renew what our coaches are doing? The intention with that is we wanna stand out, right? If you create, when you're thinking so much about your brand and your online presence and your visuals and your authority, your intention is to stand out. But what happens. Is usually the exact opposite. Usually you don't stand out when that happens. And that's where I want to invite you to start thinking differently. I kid you not more recently. I said this actually to one of my mentors, just a couple of weeks ago, I was in Voxer and I said, you know, it's so interesting. I feel like I finally have found myself. And what I meant by that is like just in my messaging, in my brand, in my presence. In everything. And I feel like I just had said to her, I was like, my way of doing business is so different. I have my own methods. I have my own strategies. I have my own techniques and it works so fucking well. I can see it in my client's businesses. We just had two of our clients, one, my mastermind clients, one of my, one to one clients in August, both of them sold out their masterminds in a presale. There was no launch plan on either one of their masterminds. That was intentional. We purposely didn't create a launch because in my world we don't need to launch. If we want to, we do, but it's never a need and both of them. So one was a brand new mastermind. We, it was brand new. It's never even hit the market before both of them sold out in the presale, like what we're doing works. And both of them were like, business is so easy. Michelle, I posted one slide like, holy shit, I could you not the one client that sold out her mastermind. We were on a call on Tuesday. This was last. We were on her coach and call on Tuesday. And she's like, what are your thoughts on like, getting these last couple of spots filled so that like, I don't even have to sell this after the pre I said, if it were me, here's what I would do. And I said to her, I said, I would post one slide with X, Y, and Z on it. And she did the next day and all of the spots filled in 24 hours. And she was like, holy shit. And I was like, yeah, I know. Will we do works? Will we do works? And so that's where I really want you to think bigger here. I want you to think bigger than just building the authority bigger than the visual brand, bigger than trying to be a certain way bigger than doing what your mentor's doing. Actually standing out, finding your voice, finding your message, that resonates finding the quirky things about you. I said this on a live in my Facebook group the other day. If you're in there, you saw this or you maybe you'll catch the live after you. Listen. It's really. or if you're not in my Facebook group, it's in the link of the show notes you can join in, or it's in the link in my bio on Instagram, you can get inside. There I go live in there quite frequently. There's a lot of value in there. It's a place you want to be. I was sharing with them. I'm for baths, like luxury baths here for it. But I also like our house is really clean. We have a cleaning company that comes and I am marrying a clean freak con. I love that man. And I love that he cleans, I love that his mother raised him. Right. But my God, he is. to the next level, I'm clean and he's like Mr. Queen. So our tub is spotless and this is a brand new house. It's not like anyone else has ever been in the tub besides him or I, I, I bathe when I take my baths, my luxury baths with my bath salts and my cute little poached up thing. And I read a book or put my music on or whatever it might be. I wear a bathing soup bottom because like, for some reason, a bathtub just like skis me out no matter how clean it is, you could eat off of it. I don't care. I'm gonna wear a bathing soup bottom. I'm sharing that with you because it's me. And it's weird. And for the longest time, I didn't tell people that but, but I said it on a mastermind called my clients who were just talking and shooting the shit. And one of my clients was like me too. And I'm like, you know what? These are the things that people need to know about us. These are the things that create resonance. And then we wanna take the things about us and we wanna enter them into our messaging. And then we wanna get into the mind of the market and sort that into our messaging. And then we have this domino effect where your messaging is just selling for you over and over and over again. It's selling for you without you even talking about offers. It's selling for you when you're selling a $200 offer, and then people are buying high ticket things behind the scenes because there's this consistency that happens. And it's really magical. and it really makes you stand out and your DMS are popping, whether I'm on or not. We have people reaching out every day, every day for offers. I know this works, I see it in my business and my client's businesses. And I want that for you. And that's why we're having this conversation today, because there's no need to mess around with things that just keep you going in circles and keep you wasting time or comparing yourself to everyone else and trying to get it right. You're not supposed. you're not supposed to. So make it simple, get back to living your life and having fun. That's ultimately what this is gonna do for you when you're not constantly trying to do what everyone else is doing, looking a certain way, building a visual presence, feeling like you need to put 15 slides up feeling like you need to be on all day. Every single day sell every day selling is serving. I believe that to my biggest core and I used to really believe in selling every day and I sell most days I sell on every day that I feel like. I sell consistent enough that you guys always buy. I sell on the podcast. I'm selling always, but I don't. I no longer believe in selling every day. Cause that's just my belief. It doesn't have to be like anybody else. That's what I wanna encourage you to do. We wanna make it simple and get you back to living your life and having fun and spaciousness while making fudge tons more money. That's my jam. That's my jam. And I know you guys know this could have been talking about it in the last couple of episodes and I cannot stop talking about it cuz it's. Good. I haven't been this excited about a program coming out in a very long time. No questions asked our next group program is starting in October. Everything that we dove in today, we are taking to the next level. If you wanna simplify biz, you wanna not worry about creating a brand and have a message that sells for you before you even sell. You're gonna wanna get in the room. You can DM me for detail. and we'll go from there. I'm so excited. There's a VIP option too. If you want me in strategy or business and just like mastering this on the deepest level, I love you. You wealthy woman, you and I'll see you in the next episode.
