Hey, welcome back to Fantasy Football Game Plan. We're kicking off week 1D FS this week and DFS week one is built for chaos. Prices were said a month ago. Projections are at their worst, and we're on a massively healthy slate of players. You don't have to force uniqueness.

Yeah, daily fantasy is the perfect opportunity to grab those players that you missed out on during your normal Home League drafts. And make some money doing it. So this is the fantasy football game plan. We're targeting to four or five XR salaries. Grab those underpriced stars and make sure that we're choosing the right contest.

Yeah, remember last year the highest total fizzled and the lowest total popped? Today we're gonna hit the stacks and fades and leverage across the main slate. Let's build smart and embrace the uncertainty. Let's dive in. Can you talk a little bit about strategy and what we're trying to do in building these lineups? I know week one is a little bit different because the projections are very uncertain and we're dealing with salaries that were set a month ago and we're not seeing those top end salaries. So during the regular season, we're gonna see players hit 10 k and this time around, I think the highest ones are eight k.

Yeah, and we do get to find a lot of our like favorite players. I think part of it might be the DraftKings and FanDuel trying to attract new players, um, with being able to make this. Insane fantasy team for a Sunday. Uh, the other thing I want to point out is a lot of the people that max enter these contests and use projections and just use lineup, builders aren't gonna have as much of an advantage than your general player this week because the projections aren't as good. They aren't dialed in. We have no data for this season. We're all just kind of projecting. And then, um, there's also cheaper entries. So I know DraftKings, like their milli maker, uh, is only a $5 entry rather than a 20. So it's a little bit more accessible to kinda your everyday person.

It is definitely, I'll be looking to hit that milli maker on DraftKings at $5 this week, but with that reduced cost comes the. Increase in entries that they're allowing. So that contest is allowing over 800,000 entries this week. There's a lot of competition. Think of this as buying your lottery ticket, and nothing more than that. Expect to lose that $5 or however many times you enter it.

Yeah, and just in general for daily fantasy, there's two main types of routes you can go. You can either more try to win, like head-to-head matchups or just be better than the 50% line, um, in those 50 50 contests. Or you can enter those large field tournaments, which I think are a little bit more fun. Um, especially in the first couple weeks when we're not as confident in what's gonna happen. You know, there's gonna be a couple things. Every single week one that is gonna shock us. I think New Orleans looked like one of the best teams in the league for the first three weeks last year.

It did. You know something is going to surprise us the next week, next Sunday. Should we run down the game review I did that badly.

through the games in order of their projected point totals, but kind of take the point totals with a grain of salt. year we saw the highest projected total with the Jacksonville Miami game only scored 37 points while the lowest point total in a New Orleans Carolina game. for 57 total points and New Orleans scored 47 of those. So take these with a grain. Grain of Salt. Vegas still hasn't figured it out exactly what's gonna happen either. Uh, this is just the order of games we're gonna go in.

So the highest game on the slate is supposed to be Detroit at Green Bay at an over under a 49 and a half. Do you like that game?

Yeah, initially I, I think I'd been kind of stuck in the offseason mindset and being like, no, I gotta fade Detroit. The costs are too high and I don't think they can repeat everything they're doing last year, but I'm just kinda losing track of, in a one game sample, this is still a great team and still could be one of the best offenses on a week to week basis. So the more I looked into it. a bunch of green flags. It has the highest total for the week. It has the highest chance of scoring over 55 points, and it has one of the highest paces of play. So these teams like to go fast.

Yeah, that's definitely something that I'm always looking for is the pace of play and do I think both offenses have potential to score and I do win this game. I think both of them are going to. You be airing it out. If they have to, they're gonna be doing whatever they need to to try to make those, to try to get the win. And not all teams have that ability to score. We'll get to some that don't. So in this one I think they do. Uh, this is very unusual 'cause you already hit on it that we don't have to like. Save that we actually can take many of the players that we really like this week. Um, who do you like in Detroit and Green Bay? Who stands out at their price? Who do you think can like do the four to five times their salary?

The one person that I've been targeting the most in this game is probably Jameson Williams, and probably a consistent theme through this episode is I wanna follow the trend of the off season and what these teams want their identity to be. Ever since last year, Detroit has said offensively they wanna push the ball downfield. They've been talking up Jameson Williams, they've been talking up his usage. Um, and so it's like, all right, go prove it. I think we are getting a discount if they are actually true to their word. And Dan Campbell has a history of being one of the most truthful coaches. They cut, just cut. Tim Patrick. So I really like what we can get in the upside with Jameson Williams and then I've just been struggling to find that Packers bring back and, which one I want there.

You're not ready to take a flyer on Golden and see how he gets used.

He's only 49. Yeah. 4,900.

Yeah. Um, I think in another week I would, but we just have so many options that I'm down to fully go into this game and have like a Jordan Love, Jaden re, Matthew Golden Stack, and then have Jameson on the other side. But kind of been leaning on just taking a piece, for Jameson, and I know. I think you like Gibbs. I don't, I haven't really found a lot of lineups with Gibbs just because there's a lot of good running backs on the slate and we know Montgomery when healthy is gonna get a lot of work.

Yeah, I think that's what keeps PE people off of Gibbs is Montgomery being there and being uncertain to how he's going to factor into this offense. But Gibbs at 7,700 is a steal because if he is running and he's got to basically hit 32 points, he could definitely do that. Um, I also like Jordan Reed at 5,400. I feel like Reed has been their go-to guy. I know we talked a little bit on the NFC North that he doesn't play as many routes, but maybe that changes a little bit this year and they get him more involved. I.

Yeah, so I think that's also a good narrative for this game too, is maybe they're leaning on Gibbs and he gets them that early lead, and then the Packers are trying to play catch up and have to pass the ball a little bit more than they want to.

Yeah, you can definitely get me to buy into this game. This isn't the game where I've really focused on, but I do like quite a bit from this game. I've also learned that you, you do have to pick your game. You can't just pick a lineup stacking every game because then you overall end up losing in these large field. Contest. So you, you gotta pick what you're going with for that week and you either hit it or you don't, and come back next week and try again. Anyone else in this game or should we move on to Tampa and Atlanta?

That's about it. I haven't been taking any almond or all St. Brown. I just like other better. Options. And I think, uh, the secondary for Green Bay is pretty good, especially at home last year.

Yeah, I, if this game was in Detroit, I think I'd like it a lot more than being in Green Bay. At least it's not cold. Alright. Tampa Bay at Atlanta and Tampa Bay's favored by two Over under is 47 and a half.

Yeah, this is one of those juicy NOC South games. This is probably my favorite stacking game just because these teams can run up the score if they really feel like it. and I have a lot of questions about their defense. You know, it's something they try to address, but neither of these defenses were particularly good last year.

They weren't, I still have a lot of concerns over Pennix. I haven't bought into Pennix, I haven't bought into Atlanta. Uh, if I'm going anyone in this offense, it's going to be Bijan.

I am very high on London just because, so Darnell Mooney wasn't placed on ir ortho populist, but he still is questionable. And if I had to lean, I don't think he's gonna play this week. One not the way the coaches have been speaking about this injury. And they're really shallow on the depth chart behind London. I think we saw in those three games sample that Pennix played last year, he is willing to hyper target London and London might like lead the league in catches this year. I kind of want to get in before the price jumps up. He's down at 6,500, so I think it is a great matchup and I'm very excited for, his potential this week.

And see for exactly all those reasons. I'm probably off of this game because I don't feel like

Tampa has to cover the whole field. If they aren't that deep, if they don't have their players on the field, then they, they can target just London and shutting him down. And that concerns me and their ability to score then concerns me. I like having more weapons rather than few. But when you're picking players, you do want players that are going to get all, get the ball a lot and touch the ball a lot, um, and have the opportunity to make the play, uh.

note, it's kind of a similar story with the Bucks too, because the Bucks aren't gonna have Godwin. Um, they're not gonna have McMillan two wide receiver options. And also both of the blindside tackles are gonna be missing this game. So WFS for the Bucks is gonna be probably missing this game. And then McGarry. the right tackle since Pennix is a lefty. He's out for the entire season. So some to note, if either of these teams found a pass rush, we should be able to tell it week one against backup tackles.

I feel like this is, this game is going to be my dud game. We're just all expecting it. It's also supposed to be the chalk game. Everyone's going in on this one. Everyone has that logic. So for that, I've, I've just been staying out of this. When I built my lineup, I couldn't resist a Mecca Buca, 'cause he's kind of been my guy for the, the preseason. And he's super cheap.

other prices do you like? Who are you stacking out of this game then?

I don't know, pinx, I've not really used Pinx as my quarterback because he traditionally doesn't run at all. He's just kind of a pocket passer, but I think he can support multiple options. I actually haven't been using either of the quarterbacks in this game, but I like London. I like. Pits even as a long shot if, um, moody were to miss because they don't really have anyone. He's gonna be on the field every single play.

He can catch it?

used and I think he's gonna play a role in the passing game too, especially with those injuries to Godwin and uh, McMillan.

Well, you know, that just means we're seeing, white on the field as well, because when they are down wide receivers, we saw it last year, then they bring in both Bucky Irving and Rashad White,

Yeah, so we might see both of them. I think I just kinda want a piece of this game because we saw. times last year, it go off for 66 and 57 points. I don't want to have no exposure to this game.

Well, I think if it goes off, you're gonna have to have it stacked, to be in on. All of it and this be your game. I'm kind of counting on a little bit more of last season where we saw, I think only like 15 players were above 20 points week, one fantasy points. If that happens, then you really are going wide across the board and not narrow on a particular game. So if we don't have the games popping, if everything's just closer, and I'd like to. I haven't looked at the data, but I need to bring in preseason data and see if there's a tie in to how many minutes or plays that you got during preseason to hitting that over. That's a question that I'd like to, to find the answer to, to see if. What you do in preseason matters because I feel like it does. And um, there are definitely teams that have bought into that being a fast start in how you hit the season. Cincinnati being one of those where we saw a lot of Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase playing in the preseason so that they were ready game week one. And that's our next game.

let's go on to, yeah. Cincinnati at Cleveland, all of these games. If we just reversed the who's away and who's home, I would be a lot more on, on the teams. But we're working our way down. Cincinnati's favored by six over under is 46 and a half. I feel like this game stays closer than that. If this game is a true touchdown game, then I don't like it hitting the over 'cause To me that means Cleveland can't score, and I honestly can't imagine Cleveland not scoring against this deca defense.

It is a bad defense. They did change their defensive coordinator, but we kind of saw that last year. I mean, I think the last time they played it was 24 6, which I think Joe Flaco was an upgrade over whoever. They were trotting out last time they played, but. They did sign Hendrickson. So that answer has at least solved for Cincinnati and I just, I don't really like this Cleveland team, like Flaco was the best option, but the Flaco we saw in Indie last year did not look great. And it is strength on strength where, you know, having to go against Miles Garrett as your first. NFL game. It's kind of brutal for Cincinnati, so see if that line improved, but I can kind of see that this defense is a little bit more disruptive for Cleveland and we are getting the under for this 46 and a half.

I can definitely see storylines where that happens. Um, why is the Bengals defense the third most expensive defense on this slate? That seems crazy coming off of last year.

Yeah, no, they're, we'll get into some good defensive options, but I don't want either of these. I do not want my defense having to play against Jamar, chase, um, and t Higgins, and I do not want that Bengals defense at all.

Yeah, uh, you can definitely go on this game, but this, again, unless you're going wide and just selecting the best players from every game, and if you're gonna do that, this is the week to do it. I would say, Jamar Chase, you can afford him finally. So he's right at 8,000, I believe. Um..

Want an option for Cleveland, who are you looking to? either bring back, so if you're stacking up Cincinnati, Who do you want from that Cleveland side?

I don't know. I don't, I don't wanna do anyone, you know, I guess I'd go on Jerome Ford. I'd go there running back.

that's, yeah, NKU is great. Nku was the one that I would go with there. Oh, forgetting about him. I was trying to think of all their wide receivers, like, I don't know.

all over Nku at 4,700. We'll have to, see what the projected ownerships are gonna look like. A little closer to a week from Sun or next Sunday. Because the joker's gotta be probably the highest owned player on this slate, I would think.

Yeah. Anyone else that you like that's maybe flying under the radar? You know, we've got Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, we all know those. Chase Brown. Uh, I don't like Chase Brown in this game. I don't like running against the Cleveland Defense, but, uh, maybe I'm giving them a little more credit than I should.

Yeah, it, this Cleveland defense is really gonna be a telltale sign. Kind of a wild card for this game because two years ago, they're one of the best defenses in the league. And then they're a bottom half defense last year with basically the exact same players and now they're running back that defense. So it's like, which version are we gonna get?

I'm not liking, I'm not feeling like positive about any of these games so far, going on the over, which is kind of what has led me to taking that more wide approach to building my lineups and picking the best players from all of these. The next game up, we've got Miami at Indianapolis. India's favored, um, by two over under is 46 and a half. Is this your game?

I, I can't say Miami and Indie. Bring good vibes and bring positive energy. I, I am kinda leaning towards this is the game that will affect the odds of which coach is most likely to be the first coach fired of the season I know the Colts have not won their week one matchup in, I think a decade now. So they finally get a home matchup. They're actually slight favorites first, who do you think wins this game?

I think Miami wins this game.

Okay, and how do they

I, uh, they do it with running backs h chan and, and I think Ollie Gordon will play a fair bit in this game.

Yeah, the GM confirmed that eight Chan is gonna be good to go for this game, so any worries about the calf, he is lacing up. He is going to be the starter, and I think he's gonna have to be critical for them to pull off the win here.

I think you'll have a large role, but I think they're gonna use Gordon as well. Gordon's kind of a sleeper, but he's not cheap, so. I haven't been really going after him. I mean, he's not expensive. He's at 4,200, but he's not like, you know, 2,900, which given where he was on the depth chart when these prices were set, I would've expected him to have been even less given the salaries that we're seeing here. Um.

And I think a good comparison to Ollie Gordon is, or his like ceiling outcome is thinking about what Raheem Moer did with eight chan a couple years ago. You know, they were

Yeah.

top 12 backs and Moer was getting that goal line work. He was also kind of a slasher and had breakaway potential. But eight chan was that true Passing back, and more of the routine work between, the Red zones.

Yeah. And you know, if you're a Dolphins fan, this is the week to put your money on the dolphins and just build that stack because Tua and Tyrie Hill could definitely have. A good week, add in, waddle there. I don't mind any of the dolphin players. If the dolphins can get up early in this game, they put the colts at a huge disadvantage because Daniel Jones trying to catch up is not what I wanna see.

Also something to note is these are two of the weaker secondaries and they're banged up as well. So the colts are starting the season, two of their, one of their cornerbacks and one of their safeties that they drafted. To fill gaps in a pretty porous defense. Both are gonna miss the entire season. So we're kind of have banged up secondaries and Miami's also battle battling through some injuries. So That's kind of the recipe of how we can get the shootout. We know the potential of Tyree kill and waddle when they're on, and we don't have great defenses here. I'm leaning more towards waddle, just. With all the messaging around Tyreek Hill, he is a little banged up coming into the season. Also, I think his teammates just kind of hate him too, and he's not the future of this dolphins organization. It's more of waddle. So I think if they were ever to make a transition, it'd be this year and be more highlighting, waddle as that first read target.

I, I can definitely see that. Um, I think I'm bringing in Ollie Gordon because of, uh, the tight end.

The, you know, that's a shot in the dark in just a player that I've been going on and on, on about this preseason. Not a game that is fun. I feel like both of these coaches have lost their teams and we're just waiting for.

I think a win's gonna matter a lot. You know, winning solves everything. So it's gonna feel a lot better for whichever team's going wanna know into week two. I really like Jonathan Taylor for the Colts. I think part of making Daniel Jones a starter is it's gonna elevate Jonathan Taylor. You're saying you wanna lean on this rushing game, you wanna lean on your, your star, that offense. And then I am very curious about how Josh Downs looks week one and what targets he's getting from Jones. not really enough to play 'em in this PAX lineup, but something I'm watching for future weeks.

Yeah. Okay. Well if I'm picking anyone, I'll go waddle with you. Not my favorite game, but it could happen. I can definitely see reason there's.

Going into a game I think we are both in on. We've got Carolina at Jacksonville. Jacksonville is a three point favorite and a 46 point over under.

the opposite of, like both of these have pretty good energy about them.

Yes, they are on the upswing instead of the downswing. So I, this is one of my favorite games here. Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas Jr. Brian Thomas, Jr. At 6,800, you know, next, the week two. I bet he's up to 8,000 after this game, and I'm buying into 'em right here are you on both sides of this game? Who are you running it back with? If you go on the Jacksonville side.

I really am, and especially I might have lineups. That's a Carolina stack, and then one lineup that is the Jacksonville stack. So part of that is. We know defenses can change a lot in each off season, and it's not really good to project year over year, but this was the 32nd and 31st defense. So we have both of the worst defense, as of last year, and I don't think they did enough to become top half defenses. So I think we have teams that. Are predicated on their offense. I think Liam Cohen's very excited to air it out with Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. And he's gonna have a perfect platform against one of the worst secondaries in the league.

Yeah, definitely. I can see that they made our life a little bit simpler in Carolina by trading Thelan today. So one less wide receiver to wonder about. That's definitely good news for Coker. I feel like.

Yeah, I think Coker probably gets the biggest BO bump from that. It's also kind of a boat of confidence for McMillan. I don't think you would've let go of that safety blanket and that designated target if you didn't think someone is ready to step into that role. I.

That's very true and I'm very excited to see how McMillan is going to play on this team and how many targets he truly is gonna get and if look at, can step up and actually catch the ball this year. So I'm very excited about all of these wide receivers and their Sanders, they're tight end in Carolina as well, and that isn't taking away from my excitement in Jacksonville where they've already kind of proven things. I feel like when we go to the running backs though, on both of these teams, things get a little bit murkier, and particularly this week, these aren't my favorite running backs.

I am in on Tuba. I think this team really wants to establish the run, and Tuba has just been kind of dominant and he is been that workhorse back if. Jacksonville kind of jumps out to an early lead. I think he takes a lot of a hit because he is not a good pass catcher. So he is kind of games script dependent, and I think he's a fun way to build. A stack of Carolina takes the lead. It is based on shuba, then Jacksonville's forced to come back or flip-flopping it and saying that one of these that maybe Jacksonville takes the lead, Carolina has to play catch up and they're forced to. Try to make it work with McMillan and Legett and Coker.

Yeah, and if you do that, then on the Jacksonville side, Trevor ETN has a lot of value. I feel like we've heard all the buzz in preseason has been it's his ball and that we're not going take Bigsby or their third string running back that it's gonna be ETN. Yeah. Yeah. That Tootin is not gonna be there. That ETN is their guy. And if there's ever going to be a week where he is their guy, it's week one,

with like Jamar, chase and Bucky or Bijon, if you really need to save money, you can do it with a bargain at Tavian Sanders.

Definitely if you didn't already plug in nku or you wanna get a little different, Sanders is a great option here. This, this is the game I've been using as well, so we'll see how, the ownership ends up. Flushing out, I don't know, with 800,000 people entering, uh, a contest. You know, I feel like it's gonna be a little bit more maybe distributed

through the past couple milli maker winners for week one, and they do typically include a rookie. I think every single one had at least one rookie and some of them had multiple. So I'm curious if somehow the McMillan, Travis Hunter, like games stack works out of both of the top 10 rookies. That'd be, that'd be kind of interesting.

That would be, um, particularly, I feel like they've hidden hunter from us all preseason. Um. At least on the offensive side of the ball. We saw him a little bit, but I'm hearing that he's gonna play like 80% of the game snaps. Not offensive, but game snaps. 80% of a game. That's crazy. I don't know if he can contribute the way I need him to contribute at the, at that, you know, at the 5,000 price if he's playing that much in this game. Yeah. On defense and it's, does that take away his ability to score?

I'm gonna trust him until proven different, but I am hoping for his sake, it's one of those cooler weekends in Jacksonville. We've seen some brutal heat out there to start the season, so I'm hoping if he's playing that much, that at least start him off with like an 85 degree day down there.

Yeah, that it's not too bad. next up we've got the New York Giants at the Washington Commanders. Washington's favored by six. Fair enough. Over, under is 45 and a half. These, this feels like the giants wanna keep this slow, and Washington feels like they haven't had enough practice to be ready to go with the whole McLaurin situation and holding out

mcLaurin finally signed, but we typically see those players that hold out through the entire preseason, get off to slower starts. So there's no way I'm playing him this weekend. I am interested in taking a flyer in neighbors, especially if no one's rostering him, just because we know his talent and his potential, and I don't really trust that Washington secondary, but any other pieces you're interested? Is Jayden at seven K interesting at all?

No, and you know, I'm a Daniel's fan, so I've got Daniel's jersey. I was all over him last year and that was, that was my guy last year. And I'm not there yet this year. We'll see if they can convince me that the whole holdout. Isn't going to put them in a hole, trying to dig out. But that, like you said, historically, that's what what we've seen. If I got my wish in this game, I, Russell Wilson wouldn't be playing. I'd get to see Jackson Dart, who is a lot more exciting to watch,

one thing that stands out, just like looking at these options from this game, is of these top nine options, we have four running backs and only two wide receivers. I feel like that is a game destined to hit the under and we don't even have Bill. Listed as one of the running backs there either. So I think it is going to be a lot more run heavy and I think the Giants defense might be able to take over too, at least to make it a closer game.

Yeah, that's how I'm leaning. One thing I'm very curious, just in general for week one is they changed the kickoff rules so that we're gonna see more bring backs or if they kick it into the end zone, believe they start at the 30 or 35. So last time when they moved it up, we saw an uptick in points that first week. Because I mean, if you're starting closer to the goal line, it's easier to score. I'm curious too of like how much special teams is gonna carry over into offense. For those really good special teams. Teams,

That can be interesting. We don't usually have special teams players showing up with points because you've gotta get the touchdown, but I guess we could have some run backs here or something.

I dunno. Yeah. This is a game I'm staying away from.

marrying those good special teams with those more touchdown dependent running backs, because they're gonna be closer to have more of those opportunities.

How about San Francisco? 49 ERs at the Seattle Seahawks? 49 ERs, no. Seahawks are favored by two and a half, and the over under is 44 and a half.

That seems, that's actually a little surprising to me, that they're favored in Seattle.

I think it's just a vote of confidence for this team. I mean, Shanahan continues to get it done. This is kind of the opposite of the Lions game for me, where I have been fully in on the 49 ERs in their options for fantasy drafts and taking. and Pearsall and Purdy. And I just kinda have to remind myself, it's like, all right, Seahawks are a good defense. This is a one game sample. They can still have a terrible game and be good for fantasy throughout the season.

They can be, and I mean this is daily fantasy, so they can still have a good fantasy day, but not the daily fantasy day that we need them to have. And I think that's where this game kind of falls for me. I think the line and the 49 ERs favored is everybody cheering for CMC to come back and we'll see. What he does in this game, if you need to play him, he's the cheapest he is gonna be as long as he stays healthy. So could definitely see, see what he's got.

for wider saver room, he might have to. Play a bunch because, I think the only two real healthy options they have for wide receiver are pure soul and sky more that came off the street like a couple weeks ago. So DeMarcus Robinson is suspended, and their other wide receivers are all banged up.

Yeah, Dewan Jennings is still banged up 'cause I thought he was gonna be back, but, Maybe he, he won't be or he won't be a hundred percent. And then we've got a, I am very curious to see how big of a role that, Brian Robinson Jr. Gets in this offense since he was just traded to them. And if that eats into CMCs role a little bit, they'd be wise for it to do that and to not run him into the ground and try to get him injured.

I think we will see it more in the upcoming weeks, but I don't think Shanahan's really gonna have the trust in Brian Robinson to. Give him serious playing time in this first week. I think he's gonna be slowly worked in to kind of be a complimentary role, uh, with CMC and to kind of like ease the workload for him. But

is fun. I don't think kettle's gonna be highly rostered and you know what you're getting with Kittle. Any week he could catch multiple touchdowns and he could always be a threat.

I feel like this is a game of he could and it doesn't happen.

It's, that's where I, you know, I'm going on this game and why I'm, this isn't my game. You ready to move on to? We're getting into a lot of, this isn't my game now 'cause we're getting a little bit down there. Houston, at the LA Rams, Rams are favored by two and a half over under 44. Another two teams that I'm not super high on. And this feels like a game too that could go a lot of nowhere.

I think we might get a lot of punts in a lot of sacks in this game. Houston's defense I think is gonna be one of the best in the league and especially with Stafford kinda limping through this preseason, who knows how he's gonna be feeling ready to go for week one. We also have, know that the Texans O line is probably gonna struggle against a really good re Rams D line. So I think we could just get, be getting a lot more punts then. We expect from two exciting teams otherwise, but just not in this matchup. They don't, they don't match

give us a, a good product.

They don't. And, Houston not having Mixon is a big drawback for me. I really feel like they need that running game to be there and be strong to take that pressure off of CJ Stroud. And, Nick Chubb isn't gonna be able to do that, I don't think.

I don't think so either, and I don't think Woody Marks is really gonna be the answer for a rookie in week one.

Not the rookie that we want in our lineups. The prices are, you know, any other week and we'd be looking at these prices going, heck yeah, I'm taking Nico Collins at 7,400, but not this week.

Yeah, I, I like the defenses in this matchup. I think you can get away with them, but we will be getting into some better defensive matchups, later on too.

Yeah, we've got a couple defenses that we like a lot that are even cheaper. Let's go on to the Las Vegas regulators at the New England Patriots. New England's favored by three and over under, 42 and a half.

I think this game's sneaky. This is. teams, I think improve the most on offense throughout the off season. And I think Gino Smith is a huge upgrade over what the Raiders had last year, and I think the Patriots did a great job on kind of bolstering that offensive line and bringing into more weapons for May. So I think 42 and a half seems a little low. I don't think either of these defenses are gonna be top half defenses. And I like the improvements on offense, so I'm projecting. Goes to the over, and I think it could be sneaky on some.

I think this one goes on the over two for all the reasons you just said. These are definitely just two teams that we are so excited to see play. This game will be definitely one that I'm paying more attention to rather than less. I. GTI or Bowers, do you like either of them on your team?

I do. I also really like Bowers to get different. If we see on closer to next Sunday that in Yoku is the move that everyone is playing. I think being able to pay up and get Bowers, especially when we have other options to go a little cheaper, go in that mid range for running back and wide

and get different and get access to Brock Bowers against a team that's not that good against tight ends.

I like him as well. Do you like Drake May or Dino Smith?

I lean towards May. I think he's gonna be involved in a lot more designated runs. We saw running be more a part of his game than I think we originally thought for him coming outta college, and he was actually very deliberate with his scrambles and picking up first downs. So that's what we like to see. If we see that

in a year two, as he's more comfortable, he could be a great fantasy option. I originally had him as my like quarterback for the week, but I've kind of taken off of just like, maybe I'm wrong, you know, it is a 42 and a half point over under, and maybe I shouldn't trust it week one, and I don't think he's gonna kill me for not having him. So it's more of a wait and see. But that's something I'm looking for.

I do like his rushing ability and on the slate particularly where we're missing Lamar Jackson, where we're missing Josh Allen. He is, you know, popping up there as one of the rushing option quarterbacks, so he definitely could be the play of the week. I feel like I've gone on to. The Jacksonville to Trevor Lawrence for my lineups. But uh, you could swing me into Drake May.

currently is carrying that questionable tag, but he's been practicing every single day. He's been lacing 'em up and I think he's gonna be fully healthy going into this week

If others are letting that queue scare 'em away, I would jump in. And 5,300 for Stefan Diggs for the number one option if you actually wanna stack up this game. He's a great option to pair with me.

I like him. I could also toss in Hunter Henry there. We don't have his cost right here, but, he's gotta be down there as well. So I like him, but. Yeah, this is a game that I may have to reconsider 'cause I do like New England at home. Although when we get those west coast and east coast, they tend to be duds and the home team tends to win. I'll keep that in the back of my head.

We do have a couple really explosive rookies here too. So Trayvon Henderson, and. For Vegas, we have Dante Thornton. wide receiver. He is gonna be a starting wide receiver for this team, even though they just brought in Cooper. He is going to be playing a, primarily as that second option and that other outside wide receiver with Jacobi Meyers. So he does have breakaway speed and he can take, any shot to the house. And we also saw in Trayvon Henderson do it multiple times in preseason against. Other teams and then Vegas has kind of a not intimidating rushing defense.

Yeah. I really like Trayvon Henderson. I think as the season goes on, he is going to be one of my top picks, particularly in daily fantasy. I am super worried that while Ram Madre Stevenson is healthy, that they try to share this workload,

that's probably the only thing drawing me back off of Trayvon Henderson.

year there's that. Why are we waiting? This guy's so much better than the other guy? Give him the increased workload and we keep waiting for that breakout. And so we might be a little frustrated for the first couple weeks with Henderson, but re Stevenson does have a fumbling issue. So if that comes up, then we might see more and more Henderson.

Maybe we will. And Jackson Dart's gonna be the one. Why aren't we playing him? That? I'm gonna be going on and on about this year. He was fun to watch him preseason. Let's go on to Arizona Cardinals at the New Orleans Saints, Arizona by six over under 42 and a half. We get Rattler as the quarter. Finally announced, and this just stinks this whole game. It could just be a lot of the Cardinals running. I don't know that the, the Saints can do much of anything here. Definitely not my game. How about you?

Yeah, if you wanna play the defense against Spencer Rattler every single week, I think that is a viable strategy. I was looking at all my projections and especially I was bringing in like sports book odds of what are their implied probabilities for bringing in touchdowns and all of the cardinals projected super well. Even Connor's odds of getting two touchdowns were, above like 30%. So I did kind of have to make a rule and remind myself. It's like, all right, this a 42 and a half point over under New Orleans probably isn't gonna make this a competitive game. So I'm making a rule that I'm only allowing myself one cardinal in all my lineups. This is not gonna be my stack game, but I want either Connor or taking a shot with Marvin Harrison, Jr. Do you have a lean between those two?

I lean towards James Connor. James Connor at 6,100 in a game that is. Going to be in their control. Just screams like he's gonna be running the ball a whole lot and he's healthy.

Yeah, and I think that follows the team wants to do. I think a lot of these teams want to establish their identity that they've been talking about all off season. And James Connor, in that power run game is the identity of this Cardinals team. I.

He definitely is. So he's my only pick in this game unless I go defense. Tennessee Titans at the Denver Broncos. We're getting into some stinking games, Denver by seven and a half, and the over under 41 and a half. I am, I'm super curious to see what Tennessee brings and see what Cam Ward looks like and, you know, if he has connection with Calvin Ridley, Taji Spears being out really limits their running ability, and Denver is a scary team for me. I feel like their defense is really strong. This is, again, a defense that if you wanna pay up, I think they're the top, top. Cost defense, but there's a reason why, and they're a good defense. They're at home and they're going against a rookie quarterback.

Yeah, welcome to League Rookie. Here's the number one defense from last year and the defensive player of the year. So I think it's gonna be kind of brutal. I also don't think the running back room in Denver is gonna have enough of one player, JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey. We'll probably even see some g Locklin if they're running out the clock. So I don't think any of them in this loaded slate are gonna be viable, but I'm kind of just staying away from this game. But I am curious about how Kenmore does to see if he shows some promise for later weeks.

I am definitely curious and I don't mind paying up because we do have savings and other places that if I choose to go there, then you definitely could pay up for this Broncos defense and it might. You might need them.

Our last game, Pittsburgh at the New York Jets, Pittsburgh's favored by three and the over under is 38 and a half. I will take those three points in the Jets.

Yeah. I don't think Pittsburgh really scares me and also. A 38 and a half point over under, and I can get the home defense for 2,800. That sounds like where I'm gonna be going. It's just gonna be, is 90% of the field playing this jets defense.

I think so. I think this is the defense where everyone's going. We're all going against Aaron Rogers. I'm not sure that Aaron Rogers has a whole lot of fans left out there, and now he's on the Steelers, and I'm pretty sure that those Steeler fans are gonna let him know what they think about him pretty quickly if he loses this game.

Yeah, the only hesitation I have against the Jets. Defense is, to his credit, Aaron Rogers doesn't throw a lot of picks. That's kind of his calling card is he doesn't give a lot of turnover opportunities. So you might not have the true ceiling potential that you get with like Denver because they'll probably let Cam Ward air it out, even if they're down 20. Aaron Rogers just isn't gonna make the same amount of mistakes. But in a 38 and a half point over under, you can also just say who knows what's gonna happen in a given week, and that's probably your best chance.

Do you like anyone for the Steelers? Do you like Caleb Johnson? I know he's been one of your guys in preseason that you have really liked. Do you like him in this game at all or has the Jets defense shut em down?

I really like. Johnson as a prospect, but not in this game. I think we have too many rushing options. You know, see multiple carries from Justin Fields, Caleb Johnson, Jalen Warren Braylin, Allen Andree Hall, and this game's just gonna end pretty quickly and we have two top half defenses in the league too.

Yeah, that's very true. They're gonna both try to run the ball and run the clock out, and it's gonna be over very quickly. Alright, so let's go through. Kind of your favorite players and plays. Favorite quarterback

some of my favorites, I want to that Carolina Jacksonville game. So Lawrence is one of my top options. I also am fine taking shots on those second year quarterbacks. Maybe it is Michael Pennix and Drake May, because I think those players have. potential that we didn't see last year, and a true off season may benefit them more than other players, so they could beat their projections.

I'll toss in a couple more quarterback names that I do really like. I, I like Joe Burrow at 6,900 in that game. I, I think they're going to have to put up their 30 points because they can't stop even the Cleveland Browns. So I'm always gonna be going Joe Burrow until that defense shows that they can stop somebody. I also like Jordan Love. At 6,100, I think that the Packers could be in a very competitive game against the Lions and they're in Green Bay. So Jordan loves not a bad play as well, but Trevor Lawrence is probably my favorite because we both like that Carolina game.

Yeah, that should be fun. And if Trevor Lawrence can even show a hint of what. Baker Mayfield did and show that progression of maybe Liam Cohen is the truth and can get the, get the best outta Lawrence. Then there's some untapped potential there too.

Yeah. Running backs. I think we've talked through quite a few of these guys. CMC 7,300 is a bargain. Jonathan Taylor, 6,800 a bargain. James Connor, 6,100. He's definitely one of our favorite that both that, that we love. Anyone else on that list or

From his usage. I, I expect the 49 er defense to be better than it was last year. So that's the only thing that's concerning. But a running back at home is always something I do like.

what are your top picks there?

You can't go wrong with Jamar Chase at 8,100 or t Higgins at 6,400. If you wanna pair 'em up with Burrow and t Higgins, you can get all three of 'em, which is kind of unfair. But you can this week and you'll never be able to do that again this season. So go ahead and do it if you want to this time around. I also like Brian Thomas Jr. Pairing him up with Trevor Lawrence. I think he gets even more targets if hunter's on the field and maybe just kind of a decoy. And everything's going to Brian Thomas Jr. And I like Jalen Waddle and the Colts game as well, although that could, if they don't need to score, then they may not be using Waddle that much.

I do like waddle, as well. The main targets I have are Drake, London, and even Mike Evans too. Mike Evans is gonna show up for some weeks and have multiple touchdowns, and this could be a great platform for him to do it with other wide receivers out The couple pump plays that I wanted to bring. I think we're both into is if you need to save some money, I Buca at 4,600 and then Ricky Pearsall, we didn't talk about him too much, but Ricky Pearsall, why is he priced below? I Buca at 4,500. We saw the last time he was playing with Purdy, he was wide receiver three on the week. So that is a very cheap price and even if that game doesn't fully go off, he'll be probably the main wide receiver target for the 49 ERs.

That makes no sense why he's priced less than a Buca

Yeah, for Titans. Both have Bowers here if you actually have the money to pay up and want to get different. He is elite. He has a great matchup and pretty fun at 6,500. and then we both are in on in Joco, I believe too.

We are, yeah, both of those guys. But I feel like that may be all, all the chalk that we're seeing for the week. If you wanna get different, I don't think anyone's gonna be on Hunter Henry. And I like that game as well. I think he pairs up really well with Drake. May. and Tavian Sanders for Carolina. He's kind of a dart throw I feel like with the strength of the wide receivers there in Carolina.

Yeah, but Tommy Trimble did have back surgery in this off season, and they've been kind of talking him up through training camp.

I think there's really only a couple options, either going 2,800 for the jets or somehow it's been enough for the Broncos. The only other one that I've kind of thrown out there is the Cardinals and then maybe Houston, but Houston's on the road, so it's not really my favorite.

Yeah, I don't like Houston on the road. I'll let the Cardinals be on the road in New Orleans and get away with that for defense. But I really feel like you either just pay for your defense or you take the jets and there's really no one below the jets that I'm interested in.

Talk me through it.

This is a lineup more for winning those 50 50 competitions and for stability, so I'm not taking too many chances. This is just the best plays I think. Starting off with the stack is Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. I want access to that game. I don't actually have a bring back. Currently there's been a couple players I've been working through on the flex that might include those. But Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. I think are gonna eat against that Carolina defense. Then I kind of followed the train of thought of teams that want their running game to be the identity. So I went with Jonathan Taylor and James Connor as my running backs. To pair with Brian Thomas, Jr. I have Drake London, who is just gonna get so much work in that Atlanta offense. And then Jameson Williams is kind of my upside play. I want access to that really good game environment. And then in Joe Ku for my tight end, he is gonna be that clear number one option for Joe Flacco. I, and then I'm kind of taking a shot. I think Waddle has a chance to be the number one option for Miami over Tyreek Hill against a bad cold defense. Right now. I have the Texans defense in there because of the Stafford injury, and I think that's a very talented defense that has potential to score that touchdown rather than the jets that I don't think will probably be better on average, but don't have that true ceiling defense play.

All right. How do you swap it up for a tournament play?

If you are looking to swap it up, may and digs are very interesting. I like them or the bring back option with Tet, will probably avoid the rookies they might be names that the general public is unfamiliar with and they're thinking lats. around there in first round last year, but I think McMillan's gonna be the number one target day one. So he is some good upside play there.

I think so too. I really like the rookies and maybe I'll, Create a lineup with a couple of 'em in there that the public might be off of. Not like Genti. I think everyone's on Genti, but there are a lot of rookies, like egg Buca that we mentioned that I don't think everyone's on.

Yeah, completely agree.
