Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You guys out there that just hit play, you are

Speaker:

tuning in to a fresh new episode here

Speaker:

on Chasing Birdies. It's been a fun

Speaker:

filled couple of weeks, my man. I can't wait to get in some things.

Speaker:

But first, how's it going?

Speaker:

>> RB: Everything's good, bud. Everything's good. Glad

Speaker:

we're back on the same page.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: After our little back in the saddle.

Speaker:

>> RB: After our saddle bickerment at

Speaker:

Sage.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Um, we had a bickerment.

Speaker:

>> RB: Put a little show on for the people.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Uh, we put a show on for the people.

Speaker:

>> RB: But here we are, boys. We're back.

Speaker:

That's why we're brothers.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I mean, but, yeah,

Speaker:

I don't have. Sorry, guys. I just put us in and I should have done

Speaker:

that before this show started.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, that's what I did.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So, um, listen,

Speaker:

I don't have a brother, you know, but. But you're

Speaker:

obviously a brother to me, and, uh, you know,

Speaker:

I understand. Sometimes tempers flare, especially

Speaker:

whenever sometimes you and I are on little opposite ends

Speaker:

of how we collectively look at some things.

Speaker:

But, uh, but there's no hard feelings and

Speaker:

I apologize after I said. But I tapped you on the shoulder walking

Speaker:

into the.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, you did, Lodge.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I said, but I'm not mad at you. I'm sorry if I.

Speaker:

>> RB: Four minutes later. So it was all good.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Four minutes, bud. What, do you want me to do it right away?

Speaker:

>> RB: Like, I mean, we could have still been waiting there,

Speaker:

potentially. So.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I mean, that was kind of funny, though. Why'd you

Speaker:

bring that up anyways? Like, these people wouldn't know that we got into

Speaker:

a little riff. We didn't get into a riff, but.

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, first off, bud, I. I do want to say. Well,

Speaker:

there's two things I want to say. One

Speaker:

episode brought to you by Red Valley. Make sure you

Speaker:

go to redvanley.com. check the boys out some fresh

Speaker:

new gear. I had a tennis shirt on this weekend at Sage

Speaker:

Valley, and I felt of good in it. It was light,

Speaker:

um, showed all my chest hair,

Speaker:

um, which was nice. So all

Speaker:

the boys were making fun of me, telling me, I didn't know that you could shower with a

Speaker:

sweater on.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But it's waterproof.

Speaker:

>> RB: It is waterproof. Second thing, dude.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: What?

Speaker:

>> RB: Congratulations to you for qualifying

Speaker:

for the 2025 West

Speaker:

Virginia State Amateur, which, I mean,

Speaker:

and you can say it, dude. It's

Speaker:

hard. It's hard.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. It's hard under pressure. But wait, we

Speaker:

could get it. Thank you. Thank you for congratulating

Speaker:

me. I appreciate it. And I'd be happy to get into that a little bit

Speaker:

later in the show.

Speaker:

But the third thing is your birthday was

Speaker:

this past week turned nice. 39 years

Speaker:

old. Not even 40 yet, dude. So happy

Speaker:

birthday again. I know the public out there saw it. They were rooting

Speaker:

you on, and, um, I was happy to be a part of

Speaker:

it.

Speaker:

>> RB: I appreciate that. I really appreciate that.

Speaker:

Um, saying happy birthday to me about.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: 1Am we sure did.

Speaker:

>> RB: And, um, so that was exciting

Speaker:

and memorable. Um, everybody thought it

Speaker:

was my 40th birthday that we were with.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So, you know, and some people make the comment sometimes,

Speaker:

you know, and. And you take a while. You know, that

Speaker:

guy, he's not. He's not 39.

Speaker:

You know, you've heard it before in a member guest. So

Speaker:

it's. It's, uh, you're a

Speaker:

phenomenal 39 year old dude. So thank you. Uh, I was happy to be

Speaker:

a part of it.

Speaker:

>> RB: Thank you. That was a memorable, um,

Speaker:

39th birthday. Obviously, we'll get into it, but

Speaker:

boys, I mean, uh, our buddy Taylor

Speaker:

Kinney came out with. He went

Speaker:

missing for about two minutes, which was no surprise to anybody,

Speaker:

but he came out of the bathroom with an orange.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: With a candle in it

Speaker:

burning. And everybody's saying happy birthday to me around the fire. Sage

Speaker:

Valley. So that was awesome. And you know, Taylor

Speaker:

doesn't know this, but TK Orange is my

Speaker:

favorite. So I don't know if he knew.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: That or I don't know where

Speaker:

he got that orange or the candle. It wasn't even

Speaker:

like a shoelace that he lit on fire. It was a candle.

Speaker:

I mean, which.

Speaker:

>> RB: That could have been an option.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So that was phenomenal. Very thoughtful.

Speaker:

Very thoughtful. So we all thought about you and, uh,

Speaker:

TK Took it the extra mile. And actually we. We sung Happy

Speaker:

birthday to you after. Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: So thank you, everyone that came. It was a blast.

Speaker:

We, uh, we played two gems.

Speaker:

M. One of the courses we played,

Speaker:

uh, three of the people never

Speaker:

played. Um, and then the other course,

Speaker:

uh, five. The other five of the six never played.

Speaker:

So it was fun to experience that. And,

Speaker:

uh, man, that's what. Again, this is what we're talk. Talking about. This

Speaker:

is what the golf trips are all about. What we just did this past

Speaker:

weekend.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You know, I said something about

Speaker:

going on a golf trip with guys and, you know, staying under

Speaker:

one roof. Nothing beats it. And my.

Speaker:

My theory behind that stands true after this

Speaker:

golf trip. But

Speaker:

I think that we.

Speaker:

When you travel on a golf

Speaker:

trip, if you have the means, the party

Speaker:

starts on the pj. Okay. There's no two ways

Speaker:

about it. And unfortunately, we did not

Speaker:

travel on the PJ for this trip, which in my

Speaker:

opinion was a little Debbie downer move. But I get it, I get

Speaker:

it. Tariffs are in full force, in effect, and everyone's a little bit.

Speaker:

But our buddy BK

Speaker:

almost got left at the airport, boys. I mean, he

Speaker:

was in front of me at the check in line.

Speaker:

He was in front of me at the checking line. I couldn't tell if the guy checking

Speaker:

him in was kidding or not. When he said baggage

Speaker:

cutoffs in four minutes. And I'm going, holy shit. I got.

Speaker:

>> RB: He was joking a little bit too, dude.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I did too. And I. And I'm thinking

Speaker:

to myself, I need my clubs because I got a qualifier tomorrow.

Speaker:

But BK was in front of me, Trojek was

Speaker:

in front of me at the other guy, and

Speaker:

BK can't get on the plane. And the guy that Trochee

Speaker:

was on took me after bk. So

Speaker:

BK says, hey, take my carry on. You know,

Speaker:

when he sent that, Brandon sent a text message that said,

Speaker:

I'm stuck, I'm not getting on the plane. I had his carry on.

Speaker:

I'm thinking to myself, my man is going to be. He didn't have.

Speaker:

He's going to have to go to Target to get a night night outfit.

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, and we were all on the plane too,

Speaker:

which we cut it a little tight. Did. Let's be honest. That

Speaker:

was kind of on us. A little irresponsible.

Speaker:

But I mean, we left Sage valley

Speaker:

at, uh, 3:45. We pulled into

Speaker:

Augusta Regional Airport at

Speaker:

4:13.

Speaker:

And at 4:15 they were cutting off,

Speaker:

taking luggage.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I can't believe that you let that happen.

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, and, but I'm getting a little better. Can

Speaker:

we understand? I'm getting a little

Speaker:

maybe. And I was not antsy at all. I was not

Speaker:

rushing people. I was just kind of like, hey, we'll get there.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: No, because you were first in line and you weren't. You were.

Speaker:

>> RB: No, I was, wasn't I? Second. I think Oats went

Speaker:

before Oats was in front of me. Oats,

Speaker:

they said, Mr. Oates, you just got in

Speaker:

because I, I think, I don't know.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You were first in our group. Oats was second.

Speaker:

>> RB: Okay.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: BK was third, Trochee was fourth and I was

Speaker:

last. But,

Speaker:

um, that was funny. Now if you fly

Speaker:

private, you, you don't even need a, uh,

Speaker:

carry bag for the clubs, boys. You just tell them, hey, take them to

Speaker:

the tarmac.

Speaker:

>> RB: We're not even talking to these people. We're not talking.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Not even. All you're just worried about, hey, we're.

Speaker:

>> RB: Not even in the Delta line, worried about

Speaker:

anything.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: The conversation goes from, hey, I'll see you at midnight,

Speaker:

to hey, do you think dinner's still going to be warm when I get

Speaker:

home?

Speaker:

>> RB: Correct, correct.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You know what I mean? Or also, there's

Speaker:

all kind of things you could say.

Speaker:

>> RB: But I mean, to be fair,

Speaker:

if that was an airport to do it at, it's Augusta,

Speaker:

uh, because the same guys that took our luggage, they saw us

Speaker:

at the gate. So,

Speaker:

um, that is the place. I said, guys, this

Speaker:

is one. This. There's literally two gates at this place. We're

Speaker:

fine. Everything's fine.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And the, um, the flight to Atlanta from

Speaker:

Augusta is like 20 minutes. I cannot believe we waited

Speaker:

in that traffic on Friday going from August, uh, Atlanta

Speaker:

to Augusta. It was crazy.

Speaker:

Absolutely insane.

Speaker:

>> RB: I would have been like, uh, from. From

Speaker:

the airport right there.

Speaker:

Um, it probably 15 minute flight on a

Speaker:

PJ.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Yeah. So

Speaker:

needless to say, BK did end up making on the flight. He was last in

Speaker:

line all the way in the back F32.

Speaker:

And, um, we made the connection in

Speaker:

Atlanta and mosey down home.

Speaker:

And before we get into all kind of stuff, because there's so

Speaker:

much good stuff, but I do want to, and I know you do, too,

Speaker:

so we want to take that moment here and thank Chris Collins

Speaker:

and his family,

Speaker:

um, for the generosity,

Speaker:

for just letting the boys come down and play some G and being

Speaker:

phenomenal hosts, and you guys are awesome, and we

Speaker:

appreciate it very much. So thank you to that

Speaker:

and come to West Virginia. That's all.

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, the Collins family, it was great.

Speaker:

I obviously, uh, knew Chris going into the

Speaker:

weekend from my previous time there, but, um, I got

Speaker:

to meet, uh, you know, I knew

Speaker:

Colby, but I got to meet his other sons. And,

Speaker:

um, it was awesome to see everybody finally put,

Speaker:

you know, a face to a name, so

Speaker:

to speak. Because he talked about his boys all the time, and

Speaker:

they were first class. And the house that

Speaker:

we stayed in, dude, I thought for

Speaker:

38. For 39 years. 38

Speaker:

years till my birthday, it was

Speaker:

Hang On Snoopy. Snoopy. Hang

Speaker:

on. No,

Speaker:

it's Hang On Sloopy.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: What?

Speaker:

>> RB: Yeah, yeah, it's Hang On

Speaker:

Sloopy. And the house that we

Speaker:

stayed in. I'm not going to share the name, but

Speaker:

this gentleman, I believe it was his grandfather.

Speaker:

Grandfather. His father wrote that song.

Speaker:

So it was all in the house. Hanging up

Speaker:

the lyrics. Uh, it was really cool.

Speaker:

It was really cool. But again, I'm like, that sign's wrong.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: And they're like, no, it's Sloopy. So

Speaker:

I learned something new this week. I learned

Speaker:

that it's sloopy, not Snoopy.

Speaker:

So there's a fun fact for everybody that's listening today.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Mhm.

Speaker:

>> RB: Um, so I will be sure to change

Speaker:

my lyrics whenever I'm singing that again.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So Friday kicked off at Peachtree Golf Club

Speaker:

and you know, one of Bobby Jones design courses.

Speaker:

It's, I guess the clubhouse stood

Speaker:

through time within the Civil War era and

Speaker:

all this history, and

Speaker:

it is just an iconic piece

Speaker:

of land. I mean, the golf course

Speaker:

is. I forgot how good it was. I

Speaker:

mean, what do you think?

Speaker:

>> RB: Like, it's literally one of my favorites.

Speaker:

It is one of my favorite.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Good.

Speaker:

>> RB: I love that.

Speaker:

All the par threes are great. They all, you know, you go

Speaker:

from a nine iron to a four iron.

Speaker:

Um, um, so you're nine iron and then you're hitting like a seven

Speaker:

iron, then you're hitting a, like a six

Speaker:

or seven iron and then you're hitting,

Speaker:

um, m. Like a five iron, four

Speaker:

iron on, um, I believe

Speaker:

it's six. Um, so it's,

Speaker:

it's, it's incredible. It's literally.

Speaker:

I would for me personally, for golf

Speaker:

courses that I've played a couple times, it's probably top two

Speaker:

for me just because it's just the

Speaker:

layout, the, the um, the

Speaker:

conditioning of it.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

Speaker:

>> RB: Um, the caddies,

Speaker:

all the caddies are amazing. Our, our caddy

Speaker:

that we had, I mean, Mike Oates,

Speaker:

he probably would have put him in a Ziploc bag and took him

Speaker:

everywhere he could.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Well, he's.

Speaker:

>> RB: For sure. I know that he would want to do that after the weekend he had.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: But he said it was like a gazelle out there.

Speaker:

>> RB: Oh man, this dude. And he wasn't, he

Speaker:

wouldn't get up there like, panting. He was like yardage,

Speaker:

bang.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. And, uh, the caddy makes it. The

Speaker:

caddy absolutely makes it. But the whole time you're on

Speaker:

that property, the one hole that I remembered and

Speaker:

you know, when you play a golf course and you can remember holes,

Speaker:

that it meant something to you that day.

Speaker:

And the one hole that I remembered vividly was like the only

Speaker:

hole. And that doesn't mean that I didn't love the course in the

Speaker:

past, but I probably just was, you know, floating around somewhere

Speaker:

in my own mind. But

Speaker:

I remembered number two and

Speaker:

golly, I could not wait to get to number two

Speaker:

and that beautiful little, little par

Speaker:

five, you know, and your second shot,

Speaker:

you kind of have a downhill lie going downhill with water

Speaker:

in front, water to the right, a little cutoff

Speaker:

green and you got to hit a shot. I mean, you might only

Speaker:

have. You know, I think I had, like, two bills, but

Speaker:

you got to hit a shot. You're, uh, You're. You're kind of on

Speaker:

the downslope, right? That's what makes that hole

Speaker:

so challenging. You know, even if you had a wedge,

Speaker:

think about that. Think about how many times you get on a downhill slope with a wedge

Speaker:

and you just get steep with it. What do you do? Lay the sod.

Speaker:

So it's a little bit of a challenge.

Speaker:

>> RB: Well, you know, our

Speaker:

host, uh, gracious enough to host this a couple

Speaker:

times, but, um, number

Speaker:

12 is.

Speaker:

I said it when I teed off. It is the most beautiful

Speaker:

hole, and it is

Speaker:

my nemesis. Dude, I. It's the best

Speaker:

hole, but I hate the hole. Does that make sense?

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: You hate driving hole?

Speaker:

>> RB: Because I have trouble on it every

Speaker:

freaking time. And,

Speaker:

um, it is just. It's a. That

Speaker:

dog leg, right? I. I mean, I'm in the fairway. It's not like

Speaker:

I'm. Or I'm in the right rough, whatever, but

Speaker:

it's just. That second shot doesn't fit my eye one bit,

Speaker:

and I miss it, right? And it. On

Speaker:

the right side of the green, and then that trickles all the way down,

Speaker:

and then it's a little wet down there, and

Speaker:

you can't hit a good chip shot,

Speaker:

and it's just a mess. Dude. It's. For me,

Speaker:

it's a mess, but it is an amazing hole.

Speaker:

Um, but for. For

Speaker:

me, my favorite hole out there, I would say,

Speaker:

like, my absolute favorite

Speaker:

hole, um, would

Speaker:

probably be number seven.

Speaker:

The. The dog leg, right? Par four. You can hit it

Speaker:

around the trees or over. I take it over

Speaker:

just because I hit it higher. But,

Speaker:

um, then that approach shot, dude, it's just.

Speaker:

It's beautiful. It's m. Beautiful.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Beautiful. What hole was it? Oh,

Speaker:

it was number 15. We get off the

Speaker:

green, and I started. I started off hitting my

Speaker:

driver decent, and then for some reason, I could not hit the face.

Speaker:

I was like. And they were going straight, but,

Speaker:

like, all my ball marks was, like, on the top of my club. And I kept saying, like,

Speaker:

I'm not hitting the fucking face of the club. I'm missing

Speaker:

it. And

Speaker:

we get off the green on 14, and it's

Speaker:

thundering a little bit, so BCATs

Speaker:

and says, hey, let's. Let's go. Let's hit real quick, you know?

Speaker:

So we go over to the tee box,

Speaker:

and the caddy waves us on, and

Speaker:

BK Hits. TK Hits,

Speaker:

and I hit. But. Right. Kind of Before I

Speaker:

hit was the siren for the weather delay.

Speaker:

And I roasted that drive. I

Speaker:

mean, I cured it.

Speaker:

>> RB: Mhm.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: So the caddy comes back up to us after the

Speaker:

rain, uh, delay, and he says, hey, guys, I said,

Speaker:

uh, two of you are in the water

Speaker:

and one of you are

Speaker:

fine, but you're going to have like a 9 ironing to the par

Speaker:

5. And we're all what? He's like, you hit from the

Speaker:

front tees. Well, that's nice.

Speaker:

So what do you want us to do? He said, go back. Go play it again. So

Speaker:

BK Got a free shot, TK Got his free shot.

Speaker:

And me, I proceed to hit it high on the

Speaker:

face. And it goes like 160 yards. So I had like 400

Speaker:

yards on his par five. And

Speaker:

that's just the way the cookie crumbles. But it's a great

Speaker:

hole, great track. Great track. Collier's

Speaker:

phenomenal human being. His whole staff.

Speaker:

Um, you know, I know the one gentleman there used to work at the

Speaker:

Greenbrier, so I friendly with him a little bit from the past.

Speaker:

And m. It's just cool, man. It's just

Speaker:

a cool vibe. It's a cool vibe. So

Speaker:

you're kind of sniffing around at Augusta. You know

Speaker:

what I mean? You're just kind of sniffing around.

Speaker:

>> RB: You get that vibe there too, dude. So,

Speaker:

um, it's very

Speaker:

Augusta, like there in.

Speaker:

They like it that way, right? Not a lot of people know about

Speaker:

Peachtree Golf Club and they love it that way.

Speaker:

Not, um. A lot of people get the opportunity to play Peachtree

Speaker:

Golf Club and they love it that way. And

Speaker:

it is that vibe when you get there and you

Speaker:

have so much darn fun doing it

Speaker:

while you're there. So after we finished

Speaker:

that, after we finished that, uh, little rain delay, we got back

Speaker:

after it, we had one hole and then you guys were, um. We

Speaker:

waited for you guys for a while. You guys were put on the clock.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Um, we were 15. You guys are about

Speaker:

to tee off on 18. So yeah, you waited a little bit,

Speaker:

but thank you for waiting.

Speaker:

>> RB: So we grabbed a little lunch and then we

Speaker:

threw the sticks in the

Speaker:

car and we headed on up, uh,

Speaker:

to Sage Valley Golf Club,

Speaker:

where we were welcomed with open arms

Speaker:

by our hosts, um, and some other

Speaker:

people. And, um,

Speaker:

it was awesome.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I know it's almost. It's almost

Speaker:

surreal in a way, because

Speaker:

it's not a resort, but they run it better than a

Speaker:

resort. The service, you know,

Speaker:

they didn't mess up any of the luggage going in any

Speaker:

bedroom. I mean, they. They got it down to

Speaker:

the bedroom, dude, not just a cottage. It's down to the

Speaker:

door.

Speaker:

>> RB: Every golf club, country club resort

Speaker:

should just take a gander in a day of

Speaker:

life of Sage Valley, because like you said, um, I

Speaker:

mean, we met our driver at the Augusta airport. He picked us up

Speaker:

because we dropped the rental car off, which was a great move.

Speaker:

Um, and he

Speaker:

handed us all our tags, said, hey, guys, can you throw these on your bags?

Speaker:

Your names are all on it and we'll put them in your room. We never

Speaker:

touched our luggage. One time when we were on property

Speaker:

at Sage Valley, showed up at the Cottages. We had two

Speaker:

cottages. Cottage one, um, and cottage

Speaker:

two. It was on the bag tags. And all your

Speaker:

bags were in a bedroom and all your travel bags

Speaker:

and golf clubs were outside of the right house.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Um,

Speaker:

you know, like that, that is

Speaker:

like, that's called service.

Speaker:

>> RB: Mhm.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: And I was happy to have experienced that type of

Speaker:

service because that was unbelievable.

Speaker:

>> RB: And that's the thing about going to somewhere like that.

Speaker:

I've told you guys how good it is, but it's almost like I don't

Speaker:

want to keep going because I don't want it to be

Speaker:

a disappointment in some way.

Speaker:

But I think that it exceeded everybody's

Speaker:

expectations that we're on this trip, so.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Oh, yeah. Hands down. Hands down.

Speaker:

Saturday night was cool as hell, though. I mean, you kind of just

Speaker:

mosey around, grab a little bite to eat at the

Speaker:

lodge. Which was Friday night.

Speaker:

>> RB: That was Friday.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I'm sorry. Friday night kind of gave me some greenbrier vibes

Speaker:

a little bit. And everyone's happy. This was after our little,

Speaker:

um. You and I had a little. Which we

Speaker:

mentioned earlier. Yeah, we. It

Speaker:

was. We made up quick. I wasn't mad. Okay, I'll say it again.

Speaker:

I wasn't. I wasn't really mad.

Speaker:

>> RB: I was.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: I was just like, what are you doing? And you were like, what are you doing?

Speaker:

You're. You're. Well, you told me I was wrong and I

Speaker:

said, that's fine. Okay, so.

Speaker:

>> RB: So we move on.

Speaker:

>> Jonathan: Um, but I was

Speaker:

so stoked to go play the par three. Like, I never played golf

Speaker:

at night, you know, other than hitting driving ball, you know, at

Speaker:

the driving range, under the lights, or, you know, maybe topgolf

Speaker:

every never. But, you know, uh,

Speaker:

was awesome. I mean, the par three,

Speaker:

it got a little game going. See, it all comes down to

Speaker:

who you have with you. Because who you have

Speaker:

with you will make or break

Speaker:

the experience. And it might not

Speaker:

be concrete making or breaking it. It

Speaker:

might be energetic, uh, making it or

Speaker:

breaking it. And man, the Collins

Speaker:

boys and our.

Speaker:

>> RB: Group, I mean, I think there was 11

Speaker:

total of us on the par three

Speaker:

course. And everyone was hooting and

Speaker:

hollering the whole way around it. And that's the beautiful thing

Speaker:

about sage, is that the lights are on. But I'll tell you what,

Speaker:

at 1am Those lights are off at

Speaker:

1am and the sprinklers come on five minutes after that.

Speaker:

And it's funny, people, you know, people are telling us it's

Speaker:

hilarious because you'll see people running around when the lights go off with, you'll

Speaker:

see flashlights out there trying, uh, to dodge the

Speaker:

water. And one of our buddies in

Speaker:

the group, um, might have got hit with

Speaker:

some, some rain or some water

Speaker:

going to put it 3:00am in the morning. So,

Speaker:

um, but that little part three shootout

Speaker:

we had was great. And then after we followed it up with some drinks by

Speaker:

the fireplace. Yeah, I

Speaker:

moseyed on back to the, the cottage with a couple of boys

around 12 00:21:52

45. But then there were some of the boys that

around 12 00:21:55

stayed up till 3, 3:30, just yucking it up. And you

around 12 00:21:58

know what? Guess who was up at 7:30,

around 12 00:22:00

8:00 clock the next day ready to go.

around 12 00:22:03

>> Jonathan: All those guys, Everybody. We were all ready to roll.

around 12 00:22:06

Yeah, we stayed out, yucked it up. And I was

around 12 00:22:09

surprised, but you know, I know you were

around 12 00:22:11

dabbling a little bit. So it was time for 90 Night Tom Kites,

around 12 00:22:14

as you say. Um, but that

around 12 00:22:17

frickin. We're sitting around that, that fire pit. You

around 12 00:22:20

know, you just kind of sit and talking to people and uh, telling stories

around 12 00:22:23

and we were telling some freaking crazy stories, man. I mean

around 12 00:22:26

like, just some weird shit that like you would not talk about.

around 12 00:22:29

Not that it was bad, nothing was just weird.

around 12 00:22:33

Exactly. It's just some random shit. And you're just sitting around,

around 12 00:22:36

you know, you're laughing and it's, it's funny and blah,

around 12 00:22:38

blah, blah, blah, blah. And then the sprinklers hit on at

around 12 00:22:41

1:00, 1:15, boom. We're sitting in the

around 12 00:22:44

rocking chair and these things come ripping on and

around 12 00:22:47

everyone's scurrying around like, okay, that's our sign to

around 12 00:22:50

get out of here. But that's the kind of shit that

around 12 00:22:53

like I hang on to. Like.

around 12 00:22:55

>> RB: Yeah, uh, yeah, it was, it was, it was.

around 12 00:22:57

>> Jonathan: You know what I mean?

around 12 00:22:58

>> RB: Because, because too did you have. We had so many different

around 12 00:23:00

walks of life, truly so many walks

around 12 00:23:03

of life there. And

around 12 00:23:06

there's, there's one thing

around 12 00:23:08

that brought us all together.

around 12 00:23:10

>> Jonathan: Yep.

around 12 00:23:11

>> RB: Other than Jason Burbies. But, um, one

around 12 00:23:14

thing, and that's golf.

around 12 00:23:15

>> Jonathan: That's it.

around 12 00:23:16

>> RB: And that's the beautiful game. Dude. That is the beautiful

around 12 00:23:19

game of golf. And,

around 12 00:23:22

you know, let's just call it what it is. All right? Five of

around 12 00:23:25

my, you know, six of us went. Five of my friends never

around 12 00:23:27

met any of those guys. Not one of them.

around 12 00:23:31

And on Sunday when we left, everyone was hugging each

around 12 00:23:34

other. Yep. And, and give, you know,

around 12 00:23:37

high fives, hugging. And, and we, we created

around 12 00:23:39

a, A friendship. Everyone created a friendship. And

around 12 00:23:42

it's all because of golf. What other thing could we do in our life

around 12 00:23:45

that you meet people we wouldn't.

around 12 00:23:48

The Collins family. We would never have met them. Yeah, it's

around 12 00:23:51

really cool. It's really cool.

around 12 00:23:53

>> Jonathan: But the round, hitting a big course on Saturday.

around 12 00:23:57

Get up kind of ready to roll. You're picking the groups,

around 12 00:23:59

you know, And I said it

around 12 00:24:02

probably a half dozen times like, thank God a range

around 12 00:24:05

session is not indicative of how you're gonna play.

around 12 00:24:08

Because I was out on that range and I'm

around 12 00:24:11

hitting balls like

around 12 00:24:14

everywhere. I'm hitting them fat, I'm hitting them thin, I'm

around 12 00:24:17

hitting them low, I can't turn through the ball. And I'm like, this is gonna be

around 12 00:24:20

a long day. This is the last thing I need.

around 12 00:24:22

Naturally, I'm already thinking about my driver. But,

around 12 00:24:25

um, got the round in

around 12 00:24:28

with Vinny, um, and

around 12 00:24:31

O.T. and my boy

around 12 00:24:33

Logan on the bag. I mean, he was

around 12 00:24:36

a stud. I mean this kid was. Now

around 12 00:24:41

I will say that,

around 12 00:24:42

um, later in the

around 12 00:24:45

round on Sunday, um,

around 12 00:24:49

some of the putts were, you know, not his fault

around 12 00:24:52

at, not at all his fault. But, you know,

around 12 00:24:54

everybody collectively was having fun Sunday, if that makes

around 12 00:24:57

sense. But great

around 12 00:25:00

caddy loved the yuck it up, gave me

around 12 00:25:03

my numbers. Kind of confused me a little bit in terms of

around 12 00:25:05

like, you know, It'd be like 145

around 12 00:25:08

front and 152 to the

around 12 00:25:11

pin. So then he'd be like, I like a 60 shot and I'm

around 12 00:25:14

all, where the hell are we getting 60

around 12 00:25:17

from? 152. But okay, I'm here

around 12 00:25:20

for it. Let's do it. But your caddy was

around 12 00:25:23

a gem.

around 12 00:25:24

>> RB: Oh, my caddy was a gem. Dude, I love that guy. We had a,

around 12 00:25:27

we had a great time, you know, it's hilarious. And

around 12 00:25:30

he, he lost my towel.

around 12 00:25:33

Mhm. On the first day. And I said, don't worry about this.

around 12 00:25:36

Like, they make them every day. I'll buy another $30 towels

around 12 00:25:39

and it's fine.

around 12 00:25:40

And um, got home last night,

around 12 00:25:44

took my clubs out of my travel bag. Today because I had to switch

around 12 00:25:47

putters out. Still betting already, but I had to switch putters. Sorry.

around 12 00:25:50

Playing through, boys, but, uh, just was not

around 12 00:25:53

comfortable. Was not putting well. First time with this putter.

around 12 00:25:56

So we got to put her on the shelf for a little bit. But I'm

around 12 00:25:59

like, dude, why are my clubs not going all the way down

around 12 00:26:03

back?

around 12 00:26:04

>> Jonathan: Mhm.

around 12 00:26:05

>> RB: Stick my, Stick my arm in the side. There's a little zipper on the

around 12 00:26:08

inside that gets into the. Dude, my freaking golf

around 12 00:26:11

towel was in there.

around 12 00:26:12

>> Jonathan: No.

around 12 00:26:13

>> RB: Yeah. So it was kind of cool. It was

around 12 00:26:16

a nice little find.

around 12 00:26:17

>> Jonathan: Yeah, mine's gone.

around 12 00:26:19

>> RB: Um, but yeah, my, my

around 12 00:26:22

caddy was, was fantastic. And, uh,

around 12 00:26:25

you know, it was cool, dude, all the caddies had some

around 12 00:26:28

Augusta stories, uh, that were

around 12 00:26:32

some we can't repeat and some we can. But,

around 12 00:26:36

um, more than likely everything. All the stories you heard about

around 12 00:26:38

Augusta are probably true. And, uh,

around 12 00:26:41

it's really cool to hear those stories and some stories from,

around 12 00:26:45

you know, the Bill Gates and the Donald Trumps that,

around 12 00:26:47

um, are

around 12 00:26:50

funny.

around 12 00:26:52

>> Jonathan: Yeah. You know, like the, uh, caddies

around 12 00:26:54

having to take the, uh,

around 12 00:26:57

uh, IQ test. Like the

around 12 00:26:59

quarterbacks. True or false? I don't know. I'm just putting that

around 12 00:27:02

out there. True or false?

around 12 00:27:03

>> RB: That's, that's a, um, m answer for

around 12 00:27:06

you. I know it's true. So we've had people

around 12 00:27:09

confirm that.

around 12 00:27:11

>> Jonathan: And, uh, the beautiful thing about

around 12 00:27:13

Augusta that I've learned in terms of just learning about

around 12 00:27:16

it and never seeing it, other than walking it,

around 12 00:27:20

is that they don't care who you are.

around 12 00:27:23

No, there's no exceptions.

around 12 00:27:26

>> RB: Uh, the other thing about Sage 2 that was so cool is that,

around 12 00:27:29

like, I was there for two rounds, dude, in October,

around 12 00:27:31

and I met a lot of the caddies, or not a lot of the

around 12 00:27:34

caddies, but, uh, I probably met seven, eight different caddies

around 12 00:27:37

because my group.

around 12 00:27:38

>> Jonathan: Mhm.

around 12 00:27:40

>> RB: I saw every one of them and every one of them came over and

around 12 00:27:43

said hello to me. You remember when we

around 12 00:27:45

first walked in, I'm on the range. I don't know if you

around 12 00:27:48

saw. I was talking to different caddies and it's just,

around 12 00:27:51

it's so cool to show up and they

around 12 00:27:54

want to talk or they want to hang out or they want to catch up or whatever.

around 12 00:27:57

So again, attention to detail in

around 12 00:28:00

life.

around 12 00:28:00

>> Jonathan: Exactly.

around 12 00:28:01

>> RB: Get you off. It gets you a long way. So,

around 12 00:28:03

um, but you are likable, dude.

around 12 00:28:06

Yeah.

around 12 00:28:07

>> Jonathan: Like, you mosey up to people, you roll in, you look like you're ready

around 12 00:28:10

to go walk into the jewelry store, but you're on the

around 12 00:28:12

golf course, you got fresh J's on Tennis, sunglasses, you

around 12 00:28:15

got a cigar. And then you're like, that's my

around 12 00:28:18

second one already of the day. It's not even noon. The guys

around 12 00:28:21

start talking about the shoes, you start talking about the shoes, you drop, you

around 12 00:28:24

know, hey, you know, Gentry. Gentry comes up and

around 12 00:28:27

then it's just like these guys remember you.

around 12 00:28:29

>> RB: Well, I'll tell you this much. The first day

around 12 00:28:32

I did, or no, the second day when I was playing with you, I didn't tell you,

around 12 00:28:36

but I forgot. I Zen in and I started smoking a

around 12 00:28:39

cigar. Oh, boys. I was feeling a little

around 12 00:28:42

woozy out there, Zinn.

around 12 00:28:45

So, um. But okay, played our first

around 12 00:28:48

round, we had a little rain delay. It was good. We got

around 12 00:28:51

fifth. I got 15 holes and you got 15 and a half

around 12 00:28:54

holes in. And then we headed back to the

around 12 00:28:57

cottage.

around 12 00:28:58

>> Jonathan: Mhm.

around 12 00:28:58

>> RB: And um, got ready.

around 12 00:29:01

>> Jonathan: What was. You've played, you've been there twice.

around 12 00:29:03

M. What time was your favorite? Or

around 12 00:29:06

are they two separate experiences?

around 12 00:29:08

>> RB: Two separate experiences.

around 12 00:29:10

>> Jonathan: Because obviously you had a phenomenal time in October.

around 12 00:29:13

>> RB: Yeah, it was. It's just two separate experiences. You can't. I

around 12 00:29:16

think it's a, It's a different, It's a different

around 12 00:29:19

enjoyable experience every time you go there.

around 12 00:29:22

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

around 12 00:29:22

>> RB: Just because again, you get a different caddy,

around 12 00:29:25

you're having a good old time. Right. Your caddy was perfect for

around 12 00:29:28

you.

around 12 00:29:30

>> Jonathan: Uh, he was in the mix.

around 12 00:29:33

>> RB: Yeah, he was in the mix. We, um, got to meet

around 12 00:29:36

one of Ray Fulcher's high school, uh,

around 12 00:29:38

classmates, which was hilarious.

around 12 00:29:41

Um, so Cody, great

around 12 00:29:44

guy, but. Yeah, it's different.

around 12 00:29:47

It was different. But this time it was different because I had friends

around 12 00:29:50

that, like, not that I didn't have friends the first time, but these are like

around 12 00:29:53

my closest friends. And

around 12 00:29:57

we're here at this incredible place that

around 12 00:30:00

a lot of people would kill to be at. And we're just roaming the

around 12 00:30:03

fairways, yucking it up, drinking beers, drinking

around 12 00:30:05

frozen, uh, transfusions, which

around 12 00:30:08

are incredible.

around 12 00:30:10

>> Jonathan: Deadly. Dude, I don't know what I was thinking

around 12 00:30:13

on Sunday when you asked me if I wanted a frozen,

around 12 00:30:16

um, transfusion. I thought you said corona,

around 12 00:30:19

but you came over with this frozen transfusion. And

around 12 00:30:22

I had a couple sips of it. It was straight alcohol. And

around 12 00:30:25

if you recall, that's when I blew

around 12 00:30:28

my tee shot right into the woods on eight

around 12 00:30:32

and chunked a wedge out

around 12 00:30:35

and proceeded to chunk an eight iron up the hill and

around 12 00:30:38

then chunk a wedge out of the bunker and make a nice double

around 12 00:30:41

pogie. And that's when I looked at my boy and I said,

around 12 00:30:43

hey, hey, bud, I can't drink this

around 12 00:30:46

anymore. Number one, it's too sweet, it's

around 12 00:30:48

sticky. It's like I'm drinking Kool Aid, which I can't.

around 12 00:30:51

And number two, I cannot um, drink this type of

around 12 00:30:54

alcohol now, let alone ever. So

around 12 00:30:57

can you throw it away for me? And he's like, huh,

around 12 00:31:00

we ain't throwing it away, but we'll take it. I said, alright boys,

around 12 00:31:03

well there you go, take it.

around 12 00:31:06

>> RB: So we moved it on down to um,

around 12 00:31:09

the event, uh, Saturday night in

around 12 00:31:12

Augusta. And um, we had a good old

around 12 00:31:14

time. I'll tell you what boys, you might want to share the photo

around 12 00:31:18

of the amount of beers that our

around 12 00:31:21

table drank. We had um, six of us.

around 12 00:31:24

Fuge caddy. Great dude.

around 12 00:31:27

Um, that's Tyler Reeves, like personal caddy.

around 12 00:31:30

And then um, two other caddies there

around 12 00:31:33

as well. So we had a good old time. We got in the

around 12 00:31:36

mix with the uh, silent auction. I

around 12 00:31:39

didn't um, but we

around 12 00:31:41

had some people get in the mix and they actually

around 12 00:31:44

thought this was a Sean Combs

around 12 00:31:47

boot.

around 12 00:31:48

>> Jonathan: Show him the boot.

around 12 00:31:49

>> RB: But it is a Luke Combs boot

around 12 00:31:53

he wore and he signed uh, that

around 12 00:31:55

we won an auction and. Well we

around 12 00:31:58

didn't. Taylor um, did. And

around 12 00:32:01

um, this is the traveling boot. This is what

around 12 00:32:04

we're going to be playing for on all these golf

around 12 00:32:07

trips going forward. Uh, there might be some

around 12 00:32:09

beers drink out of here.

around 12 00:32:12

Uh, it will make an appearance at the Chasing Birdies two man.

around 12 00:32:16

Never know, we might leave it on a tee box, have some beers, a

around 12 00:32:19

cooler of beer and you gotta do a boot chug out of

around 12 00:32:22

it. Um, but this is gonna

around 12 00:32:24

be traveling with us so.

around 12 00:32:26

>> Jonathan: Or you gotta put it on and hit a shot with it

around 12 00:32:29

on.

around 12 00:32:30

>> RB: Yeah. No matter your foot size.

around 12 00:32:32

>> Jonathan: Yeah. And leave your other golf shoe on and put the boot on

around 12 00:32:35

shot.

around 12 00:32:35

>> RB: Um, but you can see right there it's signed Luke

around 12 00:32:38

Combs. Um, and

around 12 00:32:41

uh, yeah man, the

around 12 00:32:44

uh.

around 12 00:32:44

>> Jonathan: Head, if that could somehow turn, which

around 12 00:32:47

it can't, but that'd be a sick way to make a head

around 12 00:32:50

cover if you could. But the boost

around 12 00:32:53

is gonna get passed around. We gotta, we

around 12 00:32:56

gotta figure out its place in our life. And I think

around 12 00:32:59

you're on the right, right track with it.

around 12 00:33:01

>> RB: I think you're on the right track. Yeah. So we, we threw that thing in

around 12 00:33:04

the travel bag, we got it back home safely. And uh, like

around 12 00:33:07

I said, I'll, I'll keep it in a safe

around 12 00:33:10

spot until the chasing. Chasing birdies too man. At

around 12 00:33:13

Nemacolan here in about which

around 12 00:33:15

it's about two months away, dude. And I feel like I haven't done anything for

around 12 00:33:18

it.

around 12 00:33:19

>> Jonathan: So, yeah, well, I'm here to help if you need

around 12 00:33:22

it. Saturday night was wild, though. I mean, that event

around 12 00:33:25

was phenomenal, and I was happy to be a part of

around 12 00:33:28

it and see everything. And naturally, you know, it was quite

around 12 00:33:30

entertaining as well. But,

around 12 00:33:32

um, I really thought you were going to

around 12 00:33:35

want to peg it up Saturday night. We got back at about midnight. We

around 12 00:33:38

had an hour to go out, and, uh. Well, let

around 12 00:33:41

me back up. Great call ordering the pizzas. You and

around 12 00:33:44

Vince ordered the pizzas?

around 12 00:33:46

>> RB: Well, Vince and I were, like, going back and forth. He wanted,

around 12 00:33:49

I don't know, some pizza place. I want a Papa John's.

around 12 00:33:54

We let the. We let our. Our driver from Sage

around 12 00:33:57

settle the debate, and, um, he

around 12 00:34:00

naturally picked the one that Vince liked. And

around 12 00:34:03

so Vinnie ordered up three

around 12 00:34:05

XLs, and, um, I rode out

around 12 00:34:08

with a golf cart out to the gate,

around 12 00:34:11

um, with oats and, uh,

around 12 00:34:14

a little Toyota Corolla from:

around 12 00:34:17

pulled in. I opened. We opened the gates for

around 12 00:34:20

them. They came in, hand us the pizzas, hand Mike the

around 12 00:34:22

pizzas.

around 12 00:34:23

They asked if they can go down and turn around. Mike said, nope, just.

around 12 00:34:25

Just, uh, turn around right here.

around 12 00:34:27

>> Jonathan: Turn around right here, bud.

around 12 00:34:29

>> RB: So they did that, and they were out the door. We brought the pizzas

around 12 00:34:31

back. Everyone had some pizza. It was great.

around 12 00:34:35

Um, you and Taylor went down to the par three

around 12 00:34:38

course. I wasn't gonna do any of it

around 12 00:34:42

because I was indulging. And, uh, I

around 12 00:34:44

said, you know what? I'm here one more night. I'm gonna get up and go.

around 12 00:34:48

I followed Vince out the door. It started pouring, and

around 12 00:34:51

I came right. Yeah, I walked outside with

around 12 00:34:53

Vince, and, uh.

around 12 00:34:55

>> Jonathan: Is that thunder?

around 12 00:34:56

>> RB: It was pouring. And, um. So I. I

around 12 00:34:59

turned right back around and,

around 12 00:35:02

uh, shut my eyes a little bit.

around 12 00:35:04

>> Jonathan: Well, I thought that pizza was Papa John's, but

around 12 00:35:07

it was Marcos, which I never had before. I thought the. I thought the

around 12 00:35:10

crust was a little doughy, because I get.

around 12 00:35:12

>> RB: I. I did not like that crust.

around 12 00:35:13

>> Jonathan: No, No. I didn't even eat the crust.

around 12 00:35:15

>> RB: I got to the crust and threw it away.

around 12 00:35:16

>> Jonathan: Yeah. But, um.

around 12 00:35:19

Yeah, TK's all it. Let's go to the part three. What the hell?

around 12 00:35:22

So I said, let's go. So take a couple bags,

around 12 00:35:25

take a little cart down, and

around 12 00:35:28

tee off on the first hole.

around 12 00:35:30

>> RB: And that's real quick. That's the thing, too there.

around 12 00:35:33

That's really cool. You don't have your

around 12 00:35:36

own cart. It's. If there's a cart there, just take the cart and go.

around 12 00:35:38

>> Jonathan: Just take it.

around 12 00:35:39

>> RB: Take it to the clubhouse, take it to the par three, take it to

around 12 00:35:42

the bar, take it to the range, whatever you want. So there's, like, carts

around 12 00:35:45

everywhere.

around 12 00:35:45

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

around 12 00:35:46

>> RB: So when you take the cart, you just get on par three, you might get

around 12 00:35:49

done, your cart might be gone. That's why you really can't leave anything in

around 12 00:35:52

those. Uh, because somebody might just take it because there's one

around 12 00:35:54

available. Um, so you guys mosey on down

around 12 00:35:57

there.

around 12 00:35:58

>> Jonathan: And it started pouring on the first hole. It just

around 12 00:36:01

starts shitting rain. And

around 12 00:36:04

I have a T shirt on and a pair of,

around 12 00:36:07

like, jeans and. And some Jordans.

around 12 00:36:10

And Jordans, not, uh, Jord's Jordans.

around 12 00:36:13

So we're walking, and

around 12 00:36:16

I'm like, hey. And then it also starts thundering,

around 12 00:36:19

and there's a couple cracks of lightning, and I'm like

around 12 00:36:22

this. But I said, hey, man,

around 12 00:36:25

um, you want to keep playing or you want to go

around 12 00:36:28

in? And he's all, let's keep playing. We're already wet. So I was

around 12 00:36:31

like, that's a great idea. All right,

around 12 00:36:34

second hole. I can't even.

around 12 00:36:38

I can't even. Like, I'm dripping

around 12 00:36:40

wet. And I hit a little 54 in there

around 12 00:36:45

and made the putt. And we were both laughing because I was like, that's a first

around 12 00:36:47

birdie I made all day.

around 12 00:36:49

>> RB: One birdie at Sage Valley. And it was on the par three course.

around 12 00:36:51

>> Jonathan: Yeah. And, uh, got a picture of that. And then so

around 12 00:36:54

we proceeded to play another hole.

around 12 00:36:57

And then from there, it was like, now

around 12 00:37:00

it was. It was a little bit much because, like,

around 12 00:37:04

I don't have underwear on number one. So, like, I'm wet everywhere.

around 12 00:37:08

That's funny. Um, my hands are wet.

around 12 00:37:11

My frickin hair, which was great

around 12 00:37:14

because I hadn't washed my hair, so that kind of

around 12 00:37:17

worked, but I was just wet. And it

around 12 00:37:20

was. It was a phenomenal memory. Again, a

around 12 00:37:23

memory. That's what it's about.

around 12 00:37:24

>> RB: Well, and, you know, I

around 12 00:37:27

knew that you came home and our

around 12 00:37:30

boy TK Woke up in the morning,

around 12 00:37:33

saw his door was open, so I popped my head in, and everything was

around 12 00:37:36

gone. And I walk out to the lobby of the, uh,

around 12 00:37:39

house, and these were sitting

around 12 00:37:42

there.

around 12 00:37:43

>> Jonathan: It was like Christmas morning.

around 12 00:37:44

>> RB: Yeah.

around 12 00:37:44

>> Jonathan: What are those?

around 12 00:37:46

>> RB: So, chasing birdies, he. He gave me some foot

around 12 00:37:48

joys, and he took a Sharpie to these bad

around 12 00:37:51

boys. And, um, I'm going to

around 12 00:37:54

wear these potentially at every round in Emicolon, because

around 12 00:37:57

he did a good job on him. Chasing birdies on it. The

around 12 00:38:01

Masters, um, there's a word that I'm not going to say, but the master

around 12 00:38:04

stair case champion, 2025. I

around 12 00:38:07

took him down again. So I'm 20 against the

around 12 00:38:10

old boy. Um, but his game was rounding

around 12 00:38:13

out, and, um,

around 12 00:38:16

that was an incredible weekend.

around 12 00:38:17

>> Jonathan: So the thing I love about TK Is the fact that he's, like.

around 12 00:38:20

He loves the game.

around 12 00:38:22

>> RB: Yeah.

around 12 00:38:22

>> Jonathan: I mean, my man loves it. And

around 12 00:38:25

if you want to play more golf, that's not an issue.

around 12 00:38:28

You want to go hit some putts at night? Not an issue.

around 12 00:38:32

And what a better place than Sage Valley to do it.

around 12 00:38:34

>> RB: Yeah, exactly. So that was a memorable trip. I'm glad you

around 12 00:38:37

made it. And you got another golf trip coming

around 12 00:38:40

up.

around 12 00:38:41

>> Jonathan: Uh, yeah, I do.

around 12 00:38:43

>> RB: And.

around 12 00:38:43

>> Jonathan: Oh, yeah. Thanks. Thank you.

around 12 00:38:45

>> RB: You got it through the first round of qualifying. Probably felt like

around 12 00:38:48

a monkey off the bat. You probably felt like Rory getting

around 12 00:38:50

monkey back. Yeah. And you're back at the

around 12 00:38:53

stadium last weekend in May. Uh, Ian

around 12 00:38:55

Patrick Archer probably already had you get her house so

around 12 00:38:58

that he can sleep on the couch or something. But

around 12 00:39:01

he'll make all the tea times for you.

around 12 00:39:04

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Yeah, he will. He already texted me that, which is great,

around 12 00:39:07

so I hope he gets in, too, which he should. But, no,

around 12 00:39:10

it was. It was just good to put. Put together a round

around 12 00:39:12

that. You know, a complete round. I mean, I. I

around 12 00:39:15

still had a four putt in there, but, um, outside of that shooting

around 12 00:39:18

73, um, it felt good.

around 12 00:39:21

And I. You know, whenever I took that

around 12 00:39:24

tripod out at Sage Valley, and I was videotaping your

around 12 00:39:27

swing, my swing, and Colby's swing,

around 12 00:39:30

I did it for a reason. Not only to send to you guys

around 12 00:39:33

your swings, but for me, I did it for a reason, because

around 12 00:39:36

I'm like. I was hitting the ball so bad, and

around 12 00:39:39

that shot, I did exactly what I had been

around 12 00:39:41

doing all day. And it's. It's like. I mean, I hit

around 12 00:39:44

that ball straight right high into the trees,

around 12 00:39:47

and it fell down 150 yards

around 12 00:39:50

away. So my. My right elbow

around 12 00:39:53

was getting so stuck. I watched that

around 12 00:39:56

video a hundred times. I'm not kidding you, on the plane.

around 12 00:39:59

And I compared it to other videos of my swing, and

around 12 00:40:02

that's what happens sometimes. You. You know, you make that

around 12 00:40:05

turn, and whenever you're coming down, that

around 12 00:40:07

right elbow is getting stuck behind, and you're

around 12 00:40:10

turning left. So the only thing that's gonna happen is you're

around 12 00:40:13

gonna. You're gonna swipe it off the toe

around 12 00:40:16

more than likely, or you're gonna keep coming up

around 12 00:40:19

under and just hit major high block. Like, just.

around 12 00:40:22

So today, my thought was, um. And

around 12 00:40:25

my thought still is. Is like, hey, just try to keep. Feel like that

around 12 00:40:28

elbows out in front of you, you know? And that's What I did whenever I played

around 12 00:40:31

the other day at, uh, Bridgeport Country Club. Phenomenal.

around 12 00:40:33

>> RB: Good. Um, you're back.

around 12 00:40:35

>> Jonathan: 12 hours I was at. I was at Sage valley,

around 12 00:40:37

and then 12 hours later, I was pegging it at Bridgeport Country Club.

around 12 00:40:40

What a. What a phenomenal feat. And

around 12 00:40:44

boom. So thanks.

around 12 00:40:47

I appreciate it. I felt like Scotty Scheffler

around 12 00:40:50

with his massive win that past weekend. Yeah, well,

around 12 00:40:53

and I tell you what, the next episode we got,

around 12 00:40:55

uh, it's PGA Championship week.

around 12 00:40:58

>> RB: Mhm. Yeah.

around 12 00:40:59

>> Jonathan: Which will be.

around 12 00:41:00

>> RB: We'll get into that. We got a special guest. And,

around 12 00:41:03

um, we'll. We'll let you guys

around 12 00:41:06

know about that one as we get closer to that.

around 12 00:41:09

I'll get a surprise for you.

around 12 00:41:10

>> Jonathan: All right, bud.

around 12 00:41:11

>> RB: So let's go.

around 12 00:41:13

>> Jonathan: Well, it sounds like it's. It's bedtime for you. And it

around 12 00:41:16

sounds like, uh, it's raining, it's pouring.

around 12 00:41:20

Um, and so,

around 12 00:41:21

um, you know, I'm.

around 12 00:41:23

>> RB: Gonna go hit shots in the rain like TK Would do.

around 12 00:41:26

>> Jonathan: Yeah, go do it. Get that wedge work going. And

around 12 00:41:29

that's that.

around 12 00:41:29

>> RB: Thank you all for tuning in to Chasing Birdies.
