At the time that this podcast airs, I will be in the air or I might still be going through tsa.

I'll at least be at the airport headed to the Power of Paid Ad Summit.

And I'm going to be really honest with you.

Going to this summit and being surrounded by really high level women is making me really nervous.

However, I know that there is going to be so much growth from Getting in this room.

I mentioned a couple of episodes ago that I had a very accidental quantum leap year in 2024.

I 10x'd my life without even really realizing I was doing it.

It was very rocky, it was very bumpy, it was not fun at all.

Do not recommend but this year I am wanting to do a very intense intentional leap year and I am really wanting to level up 10x my life.

And getting in the right rooms is one of the ways that I am hoping to do that.

I have learned in the past that getting in the right rooms can definitely change your mindset and it can shift things for you.

But this year I am being very intentional with those rooms.

I am choosing wisely.

I am pushing myself way, way, way outside of my comfort because I know that the rooms that I choose to walk into have the power to change my life and they can change yours as well.

But there are some obstacles to overcome.

As with anything that is going to grow you, getting in these rooms is not always comfortable, it's not always cheap, and it's not always convenient.

So today we're going to dive into why getting in the right rooms matters and how you can find the ones that align with your vision.

Getting in the right rooms is really important because putting yourself in rooms of people who are where you want to be forces you to expand your mindset and your goals.

I have gotten in rooms before and walked in with one mindset and walked out with a drastically different one.

When you're in a room with people who are where you want to be and you sit at a table with them and you listen to the way they talk, it is often very different from the way that you talk from the way that you think.

A lot of these people are expanders.

They are going to push you outside of your comfort zone because they have stepped outside of their comfort zone.

They're thinking big, they're thinking smart, they're thinking Systems.

They're thinking 10x instead of 2x.

I mentioned it in a couple of episodes ago, and I'm in the middle of reading 10x is easier than 2x.

And, wow, I'm gonna have to do a whole episode on that book because it is blowing my mind.

It's one of those books that I keep pausing and writing down notes.

I'm listening to it on audiobook, listening while I'm walking, and it is phenomenal.

Usually when I'm walking and listening to an audiobook, I will kind of summarize the notes after I'm done walking.

But with this one, I have literally, like, stopped walking in the middle of the crack and taken notes.

That's why, I mean, like, this book is so incredible.

And the whole 10x is easier than 2x.

Goes back to getting in the right rooms, because getting in the right rooms can literally completely shift your mindset and allow you to get to a totally new version of yourself.

Seeing someone living your dream shows you that it's possible.

For me, in the past, getting into the right rooms, I have literally sat beside someone and had a conversation with them.

Someone who is doing what it is that I want to do.

And in that conversation, I will see so many similarities between the two of us, and I will see that they are just a regular person, just like me.

And something usually clicks.

For me, it is a mindset shift or whatever it is that you want to call it.

But I'm like, oh, wow, if they can do it, I can do it.

They're just like me.

They're not this superhero that I put up on a pedestal and there's no way that I can reach it.

They are just someone who has gotten super clear and super focused, and they found the right tools and the right mentors and the right books and the right systems, and they're just doing it.

And that's why I'm really excited to get into this room in Georgia, the Power of Paid Ad Summit.

Because I know I'm going to learn a lot about ads, and I'm really excited to learn about ads because it is one of the marketing tactics that I am not really great at.

So far.

I feel like I've got branding down, I've got my brand voice, and, you know, I can do all the behind the Scenes, things of that.

But when it comes to paid ads, I am really someone who just throws a hundred bucks at an ad and calls it a day because I don't really know what I'm doing.

I just, you know, throw it out there.

And so this is one of the things that I do want to learn about.

But aside from the paid ads, that's going to kind of be a secondary portion for me.

The reason that I'm really excited to get into this room is because these women are 6, 7.

There's a few 8 figure earners in this room and I don't know about y'all, but I don't spend a lot of time with eight figure earners.

And I'm really excited to get in the room with them and hear the way they talk, find out the way that they run their morning routine, their evening routine, what books are they reading, are they listening to podcasts?

Like, what is it that they're doing those small incremental things during the day.

And I know even if I only leave the power of paid ad summit with a page full of knowledge when it comes to ads, getting in the room and being around those women and hearing the sound small little things that they do, I know that's going to 10x my life like crazy.

Now I want to emphasize here because this is where I've messed up in the past.

Not all big rooms are the right rooms.

If the people or energy don't align with your vision, it can actually hold you back.

I can think of one room in particular that I was in in 20, that would have been 23, maybe 20, 22.

And I, I vividly remember, like, I will never forget this night because I was already nervous to go and I.

But I knew a couple people and so I got there and it just, I felt bad about myself the whole entire time.

It was obviously very high level people and they were, we were all drinking and they were talking about their businesses and all the things they were doing and they were all had all these sales strategies and all of these tactics and everything was, you know, polished and all this stuff.

And I was just like, wow, I'm never going to be able to get to that point.

Like the way that they talked and the way that they thought and the way that they spoke, I didn't realize at the time.

Now I realize that my morals and values didn't align with them and I wouldn't have wanted to run my business that way anyway.

But at the time all I saw was that they were making X amount of money a year and they were, you know, driving these really nice cars and they had these big huge houses and they had beach houses and they had a house in the lake.

And you know, they had all the stuff.

They had things and they did have very successful businesses.

But what I didn't realize at the time was they were running businesses in a way that didn't align with how I would want to run a business one day.

And I think it's really important to note that that be very intentional.

And don't get in a room just because it's a big room.

Don't get in a room just because it seems exciting.

Really make sure that it aligns not only with where you're wanting to go, but how you're wanting to get there.

I personally don't want to lie to people to get to where I want to go.

I don't want to trick people into getting to where I want to go.

I don't want to be anyone besides myself to get to where I want to go.

And that is very non traditional in like the business world.

But I would rather take a cut on my income and be able to go to sleep at night, then run my business the way some of these people in this room were running their business.

And look, I'm not saying they were bad people.

They're very giving.

They just had a more aggressive work style than what makes me comfortable.

And so be really careful when you are getting in these big rooms to get in big rooms that fill you up.

And yes, they might be intimidating, but if they don't align with your values and your mission and how you're wanting to run your business, then don't, don't sign up for them.

You can usually tell, I can tell by a landing page of an event if it's somewhere that I want to go.

If they are trying to constantly upsell me and tell me that if I don't get in this room, I'm never going to succeed.

And you've got to get in here with the hustlers.

Like I'm immediately out.

I want value, I want good energy.

I want to know that the whoever is in charge of the summit is creating a room of really like minded individuals.

I want to make sure they're not just trying to target anybody and everybody who's willing to pay for a ticket.

I want to make sure that they are charging enough that people in the room are really serious and that that aligns with where I'm at right now.

You're going to have your Own criteria, but just keep that in mind.

You want to get in the right big rooms.

Now, there are going to be some challenges to getting in these rooms.

A lot of them are going to be mental.

I experience the same.

But overcoming them is going to be really powerful and it's going to get you to that 10x growth in whatever area it that you're wanting to grow in life.

It is not always going to be easy.

It's going to feel very intimidating sometimes.

Like I said, that is how I feel about the power of Paid AD Summit.

I'm extremely intimidated to get in the room with these women.

I know that I'm going to be able to hold my own, but I am definitely going to leave the room challenged and challenged in a multiple ways, mostly my mindset, because I know I'm going to be around women who are at that next level and even 10 levels ahead of where I want to be.

And hearing them talk and hearing the way they think and the way they run their lives and their business is really going to make me evaluate a lot of things and I'll probably come back home and shift some of my systems around.

It is also going to be difficult to get in these rooms because it costs money.

The tickets for these rooms are not always going to be cheap.

This particular ticket for this summit, so there were three levels and it's so funny the way it worked.

So there were three different levels and initially I paid for the bottom level because I was like, I just need to get in the room and I just need to be in the energy.

You know, I'm just going to pay for the cheapest ticket.

And that way I get there and something I'm gonna say it was God, you can, you know, if you believe in whatever God put it on my heart that I needed to buy the highest tier.

Like, it was like almost a physical pain of like, I have got to get into that highest tier.

And it showed online that it was sold out.

The creator of the summit posted on social media.

She was like, vip, VIP tickets are completely sold out.

Like, yay.

And I was like, oh my gosh, I missed it.

So I emailed her.

It was the day before Christmas.

It was the day before one of the holidays.

I think it was Christmas Eve.

And I was like, hey, I don't know if you would be willing to open up any more spaces for vip, but I would love to pay.

The difference between the ticket that I'm at and the next level, please just let me know.

And she messaged me back or Emailed me back on Christmas Day.

It had to have been Christmas, because I remember thinking, wow, you can tell she's two weeks out from an event because she's working on Christmas Day.

She emailed me back and she said, girlfriend, this timing is unreal because one of the attendees that had a VIP ticket was also bringing her assistant and she had bought her a VIP ticket and the assistant can no longer come, so they backed out of that ticket.

So there's one VIP ticket, she said, I was literally, we were going to post about it the day after Christmas, but it's yours if you want it.

And I was like, oh, my gosh, that's.

That timing is unreal.

I went ahead and invested the money.

The money that was invested to pay the gap was double what I paid for the original ticket.

But I know that getting in that VIP section, getting so vip, has lunch in a different area.

We have tables in a different area where we set for the summit.

We have breakout sessions every morning, we have breakout sessions in the evening.

I know that getting in those breakout sessions, maybe not necessarily the lesson that is taught, but being in the room with those women, overhearing new technology that they're trying and apps they're trying and systems they're trying and books they're reading, people they're following, podcasts they're listening to.

I know I'm going to get a bigger return being in that room than three times the money that I spent on the ticket.

So it's scary to spend that money, but I know it's going to be so worth it.

And I know that getting in that room is going to create massive growth for me.

And in 2025, like I said, I'm being very intentional with my growth.

I want an intentional quantum leap year.

I want to 10x my life and getting really uncomfortable not only with getting out of my comfort zone as far as how I feel, but getting out of my comfort zone as far as the money that I am wanting to spend.

That's what's what.

That is what it's going to take to get to the next level.

And I'm just putting my head down.

I've got my blinders on and I am really focused this year because sometimes you have to sacrifice short term comforts for long term gains, whether it is financial investment, time commitment, or pushing past fears.

You're gonna thank yourself later.

I have thanked myself before, getting into rooms that were big for me from where I was.

But I feel like I'm taking a huge jump and a huge Leap getting into this room, because like I said, I'm diving into this room with women who are bringing in six, seven, eight figures in their business.

And that is really intimidating.

One other hurdle that you might find when you are trying to get in these rooms is that you sometimes have to work to get in the room.

It is kind of funny how I even heard about the power of paid at Summit.

So back in November was when I had really started to look back at my 2024 and realize how much I'd accomplished.

And that was kind of when I realized that I needed to start getting into bigger rooms.

And one of the podcasters that I really love, she has a very high level mastermind group and they meet twice a year for I think four days.

And it is an application only room.

You have to pay to apply.

So I'll be transparent.

You have to pay $500 just to apply to get in this room.

Now it is refundable.

If you don't get in, you get the money back.

But just to apply, you have to pay $500.

And then the application is intense.

I mean, you have to show financials, you have to, you know, explain why you should be in the room, what value you provide, all these different things.

You have to show a lot of different business metrics.

And I didn't get in.

They sent me a very kind email back and they just basically kindly but bluntly said, hey, you're not at the level that you need to be at to be in this room.

We really, they did say, they said, we hope that you work really hard and try again in the fall.

And I could have taken that as a no and I could have gotten really down on myself, but I decided to take it as a not right now.

And that just means that I need to level up.

And I'm honestly kind of really excited to become the version of myself who belongs in that room because I know it is going to take a 10x jump for me to get in that room.

I know it's going to take a 10x jump for me to become the person that deserves to be in that room because I have the business metrics and the income metrics and all the things that it takes to be in that room.

And I'm excited to see who I become as I become the person who deserves to be in that room.

And also, how exciting is it going to be once I'm in that room?

Like, imagine the conversations in a room that is that hard to get into.

The women in that room are going to Be at the very next level.

And it just makes me really excited.

So if you get rejected, if you can't afford it right now, if logistically you can't make it happen, don't take that as a no.

Just take it as an out.

Right now, you might have to save up and go next year.

You might have to wait for a different season of your life.

But whatever it is, like, keep working towards the type of person that is meant to be in that room.

And I personally feel like who you become in that journey is going to be what 10x is you like.

I think me working to get into that room in the fall is going to 10x me, and then hopefully when I get in the room, I have another 10x if I'm paying that much money.

Because it's an investment.

That's what I keep telling myself.

It is an investment to get in the room.

So let's talk about finding the right rooms for a minute because I talked about how important this is.

Clarity first.

Before you look for the right rooms, you need to get clear on what your goals are.

Not what your husband's goals, not what your mom's goals, not what your current boss's goals are.

What do you truly want to achieve?

That clarity is going to guide you to the spaces where the magic happens.

It has taken me a long time to find clarity.

It has taken me a long time to feel confident in myself and what I truly want.

And it has taken me a long time to figure out what it is, is exactly that I want to be focused on.

And now that I'm here, and now that I'm seeing all of it kind of come together, I'm like, oh, that was why it took me so long.

That was what all this was for.

I have something really exciting that I'm working on.

I'm not going to talk about it yet.

There's a couple people that know.

It is basically a culmination of everything that I have gone through and learned in the last.

I was trying to add it up today, like, how long I've really been on this serious personal development journey as far as, like, courses and classes and books and podcasts.

It's been at least seven years.

At least seven years.

And I have really done it the hard way.

If you look back, I have done everything in the most difficult way possible, mostly because of my mindset and also because I didn't know any better at the time.

I.

I'm giving myself a lot of grace because I did the best that I could with the best that I had.

I did the best that I could with the resources I had, with the mindset that I had, with the income that I had at the time.

So I'm really trying to not get down on myself about that, but to your benefit and to hopefully a lot of other women's benefit.

All of my suffering and pain is being channeled into one thing and it is so good and I'm so excited for it to be out in the world.

But y'all know me, I really like for things to be super high level, super valuable.

I have hired a couple different people short term.

They're not full time employees, but they are helping me with certain aspects of this project.

They are very high level, they are very next level.

They are way smarter than I am when it comes to these very specific, oh my gosh, y'all, aspects.

Clearly I can't talk aspects of this project.

And they are taking it to the next level.

Like they are taking all of my ideas and they're making it look so good.

I'm so excited and it's going to help with clarity and it's going to help with focus.

And it's not going to be $1 million.

There's even some parts of it that are going to be absolutely free.

And I'm so, oh my gosh, I'm so excited.

It's going to be so good.

I think it's going to be one of those things that is my pet projects that I am like, so proud to put out into the world.

But y'all will hear.

Y'all will hear about it first.

Y'all will hear about it before the rest of the world.

But I want it to be really, really, really good first.

Until then, to find clarity, ask yourself the right questions.

Ask yourself what you're really going after.

Do you want more money?

Do you want time, freedom?

Do you want something else?

Do you want to have be able to spend more time with your kids?

Do you want to be able to sleep in in the morning?

Do you want to be able to travel whenever you want?

Do you want to be able to buy 10 investment properties a year, like, what is your goal?

And then work backwards from there?

And that's going to help you find that clarity and that's going to help you get in the right rooms, because then you're going to know exactly what rooms you need to be getting into.

But you need to figure out what your goal is first.

And then research, research, research, research.

Look for masterminds, network groups, events, even social media communities where People are doing exactly what it is you want to do.

There's a lot of rooms that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get into.

You can spend a couple hundred bucks.

I personally feel like the more that you invest in the room, the more you're going to get out of it.

But start where you can.

I mean, there's even rooms that are free to get in.

Don't feel bad about getting in those rooms.

When I was starting out six years ago, I was on every, every free class you could get in.

On Facebook I was in, I was taking a free class every other night.

I was taking two free classes a night.

And then I stepped up and I started paying for the 50 classes.

And then I would pay for the hundred dollar mastermind.

And now, you know, the rooms are significantly more expensive.

But I am trying to 10x each year, at least 10x.

And so the rooms do get more expensive.

But research and figure out what it is that you want and then figure out what room is going to get you there.

And like I said, what is the energy of the room?

Is it very aggressive?

Does that work for you?

Is it very laid back?

Does that work for you?

Is it very girly?

Does that work for you?

Like, the power of paid ad summit is so girly.

Everything's pink, everything's bright.

They showed a video of the summit and they're like dancing in the middle of the summit.

I'm like, oh boy, that.

That's my jam.

Like, I want to get up and dance in the middle of a summit.

That might.

That's not going to be for everybody.

And so make sure that you're getting in a room that feels really good for you.

I don't know.

Something about getting up and dancing while I'm learning.

That's just my jam.

That's what I already do.

And so I think being in a room with 400 other women that also like to dance while they learn, I just can't even.

I'm so excited.

It's going to be so fun.

Really excited.

Sometimes you may leave a room with just one piece of value.

And I want to emphasize that you might not always get value out of the reason why you're going to the summit.

So yes, I think I'm going to learn a lot about ads.

But the thing that I take away from the summit that might change my life, I might hear about it in the bathroom.

Like, we might be.

I feel like that's like the place where girls share their stuff.

We could be washing our hands and talking about something, and somebody could say something off the wall about an app that they've been using.

And you better believe I'm going to say, whoa, what app is that?

Now spell it for me.

That might be the app that changes my life.

That app might get me 10x.

Or somebody might mention a book.

And you better believe I'm going to say, oh, hold on.

What book are you talking about?

Pull it up.

Who's the author?

And I'm going to order it right there.

I jump on little situations like that when I get in these big rooms, because I know I'm not just paying to hear the speakers, and I'm not just paying to, you know, get all the takeaways from the summit itself.

I'm paying to be in a room close to these women who are where I want to be.

I'm paying to be in a room around these women that are powerhouses, that have big companies and happy families and healthy bodies and fun lives.

Like, those are the women that I want to be around, because those are the women that I want to be like.

I want a super successful business.

I want a great home life.

I want to travel.

I want my life to be fun and full of joy.

I don't want it to feel heavy.

I don't want it to feel burdened.

And so I know in order to get to that place, I need to be around more women who have what I'm looking for.

And I know I'm going to expand through proximity.

I just know that investing my money, time, and energy into this and being very intentional and open is going to create exponential growth opportunities for me.

And I'm also building my network.

You never know what kind of opportunities you're going to run into.

I could meet my future business partner in this room.

We might not come up with our business this next week, but in five years, they might call me and be like, hey, Blakely, I don't know if you remember me, but we met at the power of paid ad summit, and I just had this opportunity come to me, and I really think you're going to be the perfect person for this.

And that could be the thing that changes my life.

It could be something way down the road.

I don't know what it is, but I'm going to get into the room because I know getting in rooms like this, however it comes, is going to 10x my life, and that I'm really excited about.

Saying yes has such a big power.

The decision to step into these rooms is often hard, but the decision is going to be the hardest part.

Once you're in the room, you realize how much potential you've unlocked just by being there.

Like I said, I am really nervous to go.

I am very intimidated, but I know that when I get there, I'm going to have a great time.

I know that growth requires discomfort.

I know it's scary, but it's also thrilling.

And honestly, if I wasn't nervous about this summit, I wouldn't be pushing myself to grow.

If I wasn't nervous, I wouldn't be getting far enough outside of my comfort zone that I was getting to that next level.

If I wasn't nervous, I wouldn't be doing the things I needed to 10x my life.

And that's what I'm committed to this year.

I am going for it.

I'm going to do it scared.

I'm going to do it looking silly.

I'm just going to get in there.

Y'all.

This.

This stylist posted on Instagram.

She's a stylist that I follow, like, just randomly follow.

And she was like, yeah, I am helping dress the host of the Power of Paid Ad Summit.

I was like, oh, wow, the host is getting a stylist.

Okay, I need to make sure that my, like, I'm mentally going back through what I was going pack.

And then she said, I'm also helping dress 20 other women who are attending the Power of Paid Ad Summit.

I'm like, oh, these women have stylists.

They're really taking this room seriously, and that's the kind of room I need to be in.

I am not on stylist level.

I mean, I had kind of thought about the outfits I was going to bring, but I hadn't really thought about it.

But when I.

When I heard that, I was like, oh, my goodness, this is the room that I need to be in, because these women are really next level, and they're going to push me way outside of my comfort zone.

So, yeah, I am pulling.

Pulling all of my best outfits out for this one because apparently they're going to be looking right.

And she also.

It's kind of funny because they're being very vague with the itinerary and with the agenda, I think in a good way, because I think they've got a lot of surprises in store for us.

But they sent us a VIP email last week, and in the VIP email, it said, y'all, if y'all know me, y'all know I, like, freaked out when I saw this.

I'm still freaking out a little.

Bit.

It said, we can't tell you why, but make sure you bring a fancy dress with a winky emoji.

And I saw it, and I was like, wait, hold on.

What?

Like, is this going to be part of the summit?

Is this going to be something after?

What kind of fancy dress?

Like a ball gown, a cocktail dress?

How fancy do I need to be?

Do I need to be warm?

Do I.

Like, is it going to be outside, inside?

So I am stressing out a little bit.

I'm trying to be a go with the flow girl.

Y'all know it's really not my strong suit.

I'm trying, but when I saw that, I mean, like, my stomach dropped, and I looked high and low for a fancy dress.

I'm just going to wear my little black cocktail dress that I wear to everything, because I don't know what else to pack.

It's probably one of the things that I'm most stressed out about at this point.

But, I mean, that's what getting in these rooms is.

It's getting you outside of your comfort zone.

So I don't know.

We'll see.

I will do a recap of this episode, and I will tell y'all what the fancy dress was needed for and if my dress was fancy enough.

But getting in the in the right rooms is going to cost you time.

It's going to cost you money at comfort, but it will expand you in ways that you can't even imagine.

I know I'm going to grow so much from this summit, and I know that this is where I need to be, even if there's so many things that I'm really nervous about.

But getting in these right rooms all starts with clarity and a willingness to say yes.

So I want you to think, what is one room that you've really been wanting to get into?

And then I want you to ask yourself, what's holding you back?

And then I want you to make a plan this week to take the first step.

That first step might look like buying the ticket.

It might look like finding the room.

It might look like, okay, I know which room I want to get in.

I don't have the money to buy the ticket.

I'm going to put back $5 every week, or I'm going to put back $10 every week.

Or if all you can put back is a dollar a week, I'm going to put back a dollar a week.

I have been poor to the point where I have paid for bills in quarters, okay?

So I completely get money as an excuse, but if we want to 10x our lives, we can't keep coming up with excuses.

If you have to pay for your ticket in freaking pennies.

Whatever you need to do this week to get in that room, just slowly start doing it.

Make yourself an action plan to get into that room because it's going to change your life.

I'm not always great at logistics and I do sometimes get caught up in design and they're like, design doesn't matter.

Execution, execution, execution, execution.

And so they're making me level up as well.

Like working on this project is making me get to the next level as well.

And it's something that's really exciting and I can't wait for y'all to see it and hopefully really enjoy it.
