Unknown:

Hello, hello, and welcome to the Borealis

Unknown:

experience. I'm your host Aurora, life coach and companion

Unknown:

on this beautiful journey called life. I hope you're doing well I

Unknown:

hope you feel safe and understood, loved, supported,

Unknown:

empowered, inspired. And if you are not feeling all these good

Unknown:

feelings, I hope my episode here helps you to find a space where

Unknown:

you can recharge your batteries and get back to yourself. I want

Unknown:

to take a deep breath. It's been a crazy busy day. And winding

Unknown:

down is really, really important. So whatever you do

Unknown:

right now, if you're not driving, if you're not riding a

Unknown:

bicycle or operating machinery, maybe you want to take a moment

Unknown:

and just close your eyes and breathe in through your nose,

Unknown:

exhale through your mouth. And I'll keep keep to a deep breath.

Unknown:

And you will see how positively it can affect your mind and your

Unknown:

body. I will try and stick to my deep breathing, I usually have a

Unknown:

more shallow breath. Alright, so today, I want to talk about

Unknown:

decision making. But I want to reflect on the other side of

Unknown:

decision making. So let's say a couple of weeks ago, I talked

Unknown:

about decision making. And you making decisions today I want to

Unknown:

talk about the decisions that you are not making the choices

Unknown:

that you are not chasing after you not making a decision is

Unknown:

also a decision right? Not rising. raising your voice

Unknown:

excuse me, is also a statement when it comes to voting, for

Unknown:

instance, not going out there to vote will give you a vote to

Unknown:

another person. You deciding to stay in a relationship that is

Unknown:

mediocre, that is not really awesome. But also not too

Unknown:

terrible. is a statement. You saying yes to everybody. And

Unknown:

never being able to set a boundary to say no, also is a

Unknown:

statement. So whatever we do, everything has an impact. And I

Unknown:

feel and for the longest time, I thought that if I feel

Unknown:

conflicted, and I don't make a decision, then I'm at peace,

Unknown:

then I will have this sense of security that will make me feel

Unknown:

good. But what I was not realizing is that this sense of

Unknown:

security is false. Not making a decision because of wanting to

Unknown:

avoid drama, conflict, or whatever it is you want to avoid

Unknown:

is also going to have an impact on your life. And to come to

Unknown:

that realization, it made me feel very uncomfortable because

Unknown:

I realized that I was doing that for many, many years. Instead of

Unknown:

making a decision and regretting it in the future, I decided to

Unknown:

not take action and to stay in certain situations thinking that

Unknown:

this would be the safe way out. Well, my darling, this is what

Unknown:

I've learned. There is no safe way out. If you don't take

Unknown:

action if You don't make a decision it will impact your

Unknown:

life in a way that you really, really don't want. So, taking

Unknown:

action, sometimes a taking a risk might be better than

Unknown:

staying stuck voluntarily, not changing anything. And thinking

Unknown:

that this is the safe way out.

Unknown:

So if that is news to you like it was to me,

Unknown:

it is scary, right? Because all of a sudden you realize, oh my

Unknown:

god, I'm responsible for my actions. I'm responsible for my

Unknown:

happiness right now. If I'm not happy right now, I can't blame

Unknown:

anybody else outside of me. It is all on me, I have to take

Unknown:

100% ownership when it comes to my life, when it comes to my

Unknown:

happiness, contentment when it comes to my relationship

Unknown:

satisfaction, my job satisfaction. So I will keep

Unknown:

this episode fairly short today and invite you to think about

Unknown:

the decisions in the future that you want to be making. Knowing

Unknown:

that taking action is going to benefit you. And not taking

Unknown:

action is not going to make you be safe. And it's not going to

Unknown:

get you closer to your goals and dreams, your goals and dreams

Unknown:

you cannot reach by not making decisions. And there's always

Unknown:

you know, something to be lost when you make a decisions, but

Unknown:

there's always something to be one as well. So if you will make

Unknown:

a decision that you regret down the road, there will always be

Unknown:

something positive about it, even though you didn't like the

Unknown:

outcome. You have the balls to take action, you failed. You're

Unknown:

gonna make a new decision soon and you will succeed eventually,

Unknown:

but staying stuck, not making decisions is not gonna get you

Unknown:

anywhere. So I'm gonna leave you with that. And yeah, share your

Unknown:

comments with me. Share your experience with choice making

Unknown:

decision making with me, and I will be out there very soon

Unknown:

again. Take care. Bye bye
