Welcome back to another episode of health hacks today. I'm talking to you about the fact that your skin is talking to you, and my question is, are you listening? Because your skin is not just a reflection in the mirror, it's actually a reflection of your inner world, breakouts, dry patches, rashes, redness, these are all signals that your body is whispering to you through your skin, hoping you'll start to listen. Your skin is the first to speak up when your gut, your liver, your hormones are out of balance or under stress, and it's not just physical. It's your emotional health that plays a huge role too. So where do you start? Well, one of my favorite foundational tips is to start every day with a glass of warm lemon water. It supports liver detoxification, it encourages better digestion, and it helps clear the internal congestion before it starts to show up on your face. And then we go deeper. If you haven't ever done a physical or a functional medicine, liver detox, you might want to consider it, because that's when my skin started to clear up. I was well into my 40s when I discovered this and wondering why I had acne like a teenager for so many years. Well, guess what? I turned out I was really toxic, and once I got those toxins out of my body and got my liver functioning properly, again, my skin has been lovely, and so detoxification is a key role in supporting your skin health as well as the health of all of the other organs in your body. And then we can go even deeper, because emotional stress will show up on the skin as well, and that's where a tool that I use, timeline therapy can make a massive difference, because this technique helps you release unresolved negative emotions that are stored in the body in the unconscious mind, and emotions that may be contributing to inflammation and imbalance in the body. And because the unconscious mind works quickly, way faster than our conscious mind, this is a powerful tool that is also very quick, and in just one session, we can release that bag of rocks that you've been carrying around that is negatively impacting the health of your skin and health of your body, because that emotional clutter can cause dis ease in your body over time, and once we clear it, the body can heal more effectively, and the skin reflects that shift.
