Speaker AMy name is Scott.
Speaker AI am the host, and this week is kind of a best of.
Speaker ANot really a best of, but it's an unheard interview.
Speaker AThat's right.
Speaker AThis is the interview that I did with Dane on Creators United with Kevin Broussard, the original Indiana Jones stuntman from the Indiana Jones epic Stunt spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Speaker AIt is an incredible interview.
Speaker AIt starts about six minutes in, but there's some fun banter beforehand that you're gonna want here as it relates to some past, past topics.
Speaker ABut here you go.
Speaker AEnjoy our interview with Kevin Broussard and we'll be back with new episodes next week.
Speaker AWhat's good, everybody?
Speaker AWe are Creators United.
Speaker AIt's a podcast that is still.
Speaker AWe're still searching for identity, for our identity.
Speaker AIt's like right before you come out of the closet, you're still searching.
Speaker AYou're still searching.
Speaker AThat's what we're doing.
Speaker AWe are still in the closet of identity, of podcasts.
Speaker ABut I'm Scott, the host of the Parents Night out podcast with no new friends.
Speaker AAnd with me, the host of the big beautiful Diz.
Speaker AAnd that's dis YouTube channel.
Speaker CDane.
Speaker ADane, how's it going, man?
Speaker BHello.
Speaker BHello.
Speaker BIt's going well.
Speaker CIt's doing well.
Speaker AYou know, something that's been on my mind, and I actually haven't shared this with you until now, so this is really exciting for me.
Speaker BSo I'm excited, too.
Speaker AWe have our moments.
Speaker AI definitely have our.
Speaker AMy moments on the podcast where I'm like, oh, I probably shouldn't have said that.
Speaker AAnd typically, it's after the episode is released that I.
Speaker AThat I realize that.
Speaker AOr.
Speaker AOr I make a mistake and I get fact checked.
Speaker AWell, Dane, this.
Speaker AThis next story is about you, sir.
Speaker BOh, okay.
Speaker AI received a phone call from someone who said, hey, I saw this video on YouTube, and apparently this guy friend of yours.
Speaker AAnd I was like, oh, do tell.
Speaker AAnd knowing who I was talking to on the phone, I knew exactly which video it was.
Speaker BOh, I think I know.
Speaker BWhich.
Speaker BI know.
Speaker BYeah, I know which one you.
Speaker CYou.
Speaker BI know who you received a call from.
Speaker ASo I'm like, well, Jeff Kaufman, which video are you talking about?
Speaker ASo Jeff Kaufman calls me, and Jeff Kaufman, for those of you who don't know, was the lead defense attorney on the Tigger trial.
Speaker AAnd he's like.
Speaker AHe's like, yeah, I watched the Sega.
Speaker AHe got, like, most of the facts wrong.
Speaker BAnd I'm like, very little things I want to point out stuff that was not publicly available probably.
Speaker ARight, Right.
Speaker AAnd I'm like, which.
Speaker AI don't know, Jeff.
Speaker BHey, he did comment, which I was very appreciative of.
Speaker BHe did correct me on the stuff that I didn't even know.
Speaker AThat's pretty cool, though.
Speaker CSo.
Speaker BYeah, but I'm.
Speaker BYeah, I'm happy for it, though, because then it's.
Speaker BIt's out there.
Speaker BAnd the stuff that I found that was public obviously was not correct, which.
Speaker ARight, right.
Speaker ASo I told him.
Speaker BI said, dude, hey, I want to say I.
Speaker BI made a mistake.
Speaker BI just want to come out and say I'm sorry.
Speaker BIt will not happen again.
Speaker BI just want to, you know, thank you.
Speaker AEat a sandwich.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI just want to.
Speaker BI just want to make sure that, you know, thank.
Speaker BThank Scott, Jeff, thank you for calling me out on this public forum just so that we can move on from this and.
Speaker BAnd I hope to regain everyone's trust in the very near future.
Speaker ASo I told him.
Speaker AI was like.
Speaker AI was like, dane is such a good.
Speaker ASuch a good guy.
Speaker AI was like, I'm sure it was minor little oversights, and Jeff wasn't mad.
Speaker AAnd he's like, I'm thinking of reaching out to him.
Speaker AI said, you definitely.
Speaker AI said, if you reached out to him, Dane would, like.
Speaker AThat would be the biggest Thing for D.
Speaker AHe would love that and just be ready to do like a follow up interview video because I, you know, that would be really cool.
Speaker ABut he, he said it's a good video.
Speaker AHe's gonna check out some of your other stuff.
Speaker BNo, well, hey, at least he, at least he liked it.
Speaker BI, you know, whenever the people that like I do the videos on, like when I, when they see it, then I'm obviously very nervous because usually that doesn't go well for me.
Speaker BLast time I tried to do some, some of the times I've tried to do that, people have not been appreciative of, of the work.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BBut yeah, I'm glad that he liked it.
Speaker BHe left a very nice comment and also corrected the stuff that like apparently I said in the script.
Speaker BI said like what did.
Speaker BI said something about, about the like evidence that they had that the, that the opposing.
Speaker BThe girl had.
Speaker BAnd I said like something about.
Speaker BI said like, I said something like, which I.
Speaker BThe evidence that I assume that they had.
Speaker BAnd like, you know, just.
Speaker BI couldn't find any of the, I couldn't find like the stuff that was written about the actual Keats itself.
Speaker BSo I just assumed that they had Evan.
Speaker BApparently they didn't.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BYeah, but that was that.
Speaker BYeah, that was appreciative.
Speaker BJust Jeff's.
Speaker BJeff seems like a good guy.
Speaker BSo I was, I was thankful that.
Speaker AAnd Jeff's a really good dude.
Speaker AAnd listen, if anything, it was nice to catch up with him for a little bit because I hadn't talked to him in a while and it was.
Speaker BFunnier that that just happened to be the video that I put the no new friends add in at the tickets.
Speaker AOh, that's right.
Speaker B1.
Speaker BBecause I knew because he even said in the comment he, I'm a buddy with Scott.
Speaker BAnd I was like, wait a minute.
Speaker BSo I went back in the video and that's the first one I put the ad in.
Speaker BSo that's why.
Speaker BThat's.
Speaker AYeah, I was wondering, I was like, how did he know that we were friends and that would make sense now that, now that makes sense.
Speaker AYeah, you know, it's.
Speaker AI remember when you put that video out.
Speaker AI wish I would have known that you were making that video because I would have tried to see if I could make a connection there.
Speaker BYeah, I tried to make a connection.
Speaker BIf I, if I remember correctly, I tried to make it.
Speaker AI think you did.
Speaker BAnd I wasn't sure if.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI.
Speaker BProbably the email that I reach out to wasn't active or something.
Speaker AAnymore, you know, when you need us dot com.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BOr maybe since I put out the video, the statue of limitations has run out or something and you could talk about it now.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker ABut wasn't there a lot.
Speaker BOh, that was in New York that the, this, that was, that was shortened.
Speaker BRight?
Speaker BOr something like that?
Speaker BWasn't there like a, wasn't there like a law like that in some state that like now allowed people to talk about cases that are old?
Speaker BBecause.
Speaker BIs that why Steven Tyler was hit with one?
Speaker BSome of the stuff that, the legal stuff that he was hit with could.
Speaker ABe the only news I follow.
Speaker AThe only current events that I follow are the ones that impact my fantasy football team.
Speaker ALike Rik Hill gets arrested.
Speaker ALike that is news to me.
Speaker BDon't get me started on this.
Speaker AWell, let's, let's talk about that for a second because Dane, you know what you're doing and you've had a good team all year in the Disney.
Speaker AWell, okay, so all year it's been you, Alex, me in the top three spots and the three of us have been kind of teeter totting a little bit.
Speaker AAnd one of the Jackies who I said watch out.
Speaker ALike this is a good team she was in.
Speaker AI think she's the one that beat me.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ASo our draft was four days long.
Speaker AFour days long.
Speaker AWe had people drafting Rob Gronkowski who's been retired for like three years.
Speaker AWe did.
Speaker ATom Brady was drafted.
Speaker BLike you'd go Owen, 10 or oh and 11 or something.
Speaker AWell, yeah, they drafted four quarterbacks and didn't start one one week.
Speaker AAnd I was like, how is this?
Speaker ALike, do you even have enough roster spots?
Speaker BI don't quarterback on this roster.
Speaker AI don't get it.
Speaker AI don't get it.
Speaker AAnd here we are, you and I get eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and I'm like, how does this, in what world does this happen?
Speaker AOh, I'll tell you in any Purdy.
Speaker BDoesn'T do anything in any podcast league.
Speaker AThat starts with dis.
Speaker AIt doesn't matter how good my team is.
Speaker AI'm going to be terrible.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAnother case in point.
Speaker AA case of continuity if you will.
Speaker AWe do the dis Journey fantasy football league a couple years ago.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker ALeague.
Speaker AI, I had a great team.
Speaker BI, I won in one year.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AI think you played my brother in law in the, in the finals.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BCuz that was.
Speaker BOh, that's right.
Speaker BBecause that was in Disney.
Speaker BI was in Disney when that happened.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BI remember pulling out my phone in Tomorrowland and seeing the final result.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker BIt's quite magical, actually.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker ASo we're in a league where one guy doesn't take a running back until the 10th round and drafts.
Speaker AGio Giovanni Bernard.
Speaker BYeah, he did.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AOh, my God, I just saw the name.
Speaker BWe have a guest in the studio, by the way.
Speaker BLadies and gentlemen.
Speaker BHappy birthday to you, my man.
Speaker BWhat's your favorite show in Disney World history?
Speaker AWell, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is my favorite show.
Speaker CMine, too.
Speaker AThis is unbelievable.
Speaker BLadies and gentlemen, please welcome Kevin Broussard, original Indiana Jones from the Indiana.
Speaker BIndiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
Speaker BI am so nervous, I can't even get out my intro.
Speaker CNo, come on, seriously, it's just me.
Speaker BHe's a celebrity on the show.
Speaker CIt's not so much.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AThis is unreal.
Speaker AKevin, it's so good to meet you.
Speaker AI've met you in person once after.
Speaker AI stuck around after the show, but I think there's a picture of me in y'all's break room.
Speaker AI'm not allowed to the show anymore.
Speaker AI'm just kidding.
Speaker AIt's not that bad.
Speaker CWe did have to ban you, Kevin.
Speaker AI've been.
Speaker AI.
Speaker AI've been going to Hollywood Studios since it was MGM Studios back in, you know, 89, 90.
Speaker AAnd my sister and I used to put on the epic Stunt spectacular in my living room with a little Nerf basketball that we would roll down the hallway and.
Speaker AAnd the way that my living room.
Speaker AI had a hallway and I could jump behind the couch just as the.
Speaker AThe ball passed me.
Speaker AThat was last week.
Speaker AI think I torn acl, But I.
Speaker CWas just about to ask you, how.
Speaker AOld were you last week?
Speaker BYes, it was on Monday for his.
Speaker BHis birthday party.
Speaker AKevin, thank you so much for being here.
Speaker AI actually heard an interview with you a couple weeks ago.
Speaker AIt was an older interview on a different podcast that I just randomly stumbled upon.
Speaker AAnd thank you for being gracious with your time.
Speaker AIt's.
Speaker AIt's unbelievable.
Speaker COh, it's not.
Speaker CIt's.
Speaker CIt's what we're supposed to do in life, right?
Speaker CWe're supposed to be kind and help people out, and that's.
Speaker CThat's what we do.
Speaker CBe humble and be kind.
Speaker AWell, that was my biggest takeaway is just how humble and kind you are.
Speaker AYou've got one of the coolest jobs I do tonight.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AAnd I've heard all the things that you've done.
Speaker AOpening up cruise lines and.
Speaker AAnd now you get to train all the Indies.
Speaker AAnd, and you're still in the show.
Speaker ATell me about your journey.
Speaker CIt has been an amazing journey.
Speaker CStarting.
Speaker CYou want me to go back?
Speaker CLike, way back?
Speaker BLet's.
Speaker BYeah, let's start at the beginning.
Speaker BStart.
Speaker BStart at the very beginning.
Speaker CAll right, so I started with Disney, Disney in 1987.
Speaker CAnd I was originally hired for the Hoopty Doo Revue.
Speaker CI was there for two years and I got a call from casting asking me if I'd like to audition for an action character named Jack.
Speaker CSo I did.
Speaker CI auditioned.
Speaker CI went away thinking, okay, I had a great audition and I forgot about it.
Speaker CThree months later I got a call from casting saying, how would you like to be Indiana Jones?
Speaker CAnd I'm like, I didn't audition for that.
Speaker CAnd they said, yes, you did.
Speaker CYou just didn't know it because it was a huge secret.
Speaker CThey wanted this to be kept very hush hush because they were bringing in the.
Speaker CGlenn Randall Jr.
Speaker CThe stunt coordinator for all the movies.
Speaker CHe's also.
Speaker COh, gosh, this man.
Speaker CHe is also the original Boba Fett stunt double.
Speaker AOh, wow.
Speaker COr the Star wars movies.
Speaker CAnd this is the man that came to Orlando and hand picked who he wanted to be in his show.
Speaker CAnd, and I mean, what an honor for me.
Speaker CI, I was blown away.
Speaker CAnd we trained for nine months with him.
Speaker CAnd while the stage was being built, because it was, it was dirt back then, right?
Speaker CAnd as it was getting closer, you know, the, they were starting to advertise.
Speaker CThis is a great story.
Speaker CThey started advertising for the show.
Speaker CAnd one morning we all were gathered at the warehouses and these film people came in and they wanted to find out if Glenn Randall would shoot a commercial running from the Boulder.
Speaker CAnd he said, well, I'm not Indiana Jones.
Speaker CI've got three Indiana Jones over there.
Speaker CYou know, why don't you choose one of those?
Speaker CAnd they're like, oh, those are, those are Disney employees.
Speaker CWe really can't do that.
Speaker CAnd then Glenn.
Speaker CThere were three stuntmen.
Speaker CGlenn Randall Jr.
Speaker CLarry Holt and Bob Yerkes.
Speaker CThey were all the men that were training us.
Speaker CAnd they wanted one of them to be running from the boulder, but they didn't want to do it.
Speaker CGlenn Reynolds was like, no, I, I don't feel like running from the boulder today.
Speaker CWhy don't you, why don't you ask him?
Speaker CSo they came over and they asked me if I would like to do it.
Speaker CAnd I said, of course I would love to do it.
Speaker CWhat, what an honor.
Speaker CAnd what Disney did was fire me for the day and then hire me the next day.
Speaker CSo I wasn't an employee, and I got to shoot the commercial, and I got SAG residuals for years.
Speaker COh, wow.
Speaker CCommercial.
Speaker CThat was amazing.
Speaker CJust amazing.
Speaker ANow, does that hurt your seniority when it came to schedule bids?
Speaker ABecause.
Speaker COkay, not at all.
Speaker CBut you would think it would, but it did not.
Speaker CAnd then let's fast Forward the next 30 years.
Speaker CI portrayed Indiana Jones hopefully to the very best that I could do.
Speaker CAnd I always say I haven't worked because I've been at the stage now for 35 years, Disney for 37.
Speaker CBut I always say I haven't worked in 35 years.
Speaker CI've just played.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker AThat's amazing.
Speaker AI mean, it's the dream.
Speaker ADo something that you love and you can make a living doing it truly is.
Speaker CAnd that's what I've tried to pass on to my kids.
Speaker CI'm like, you just gotta find something that you're passionate about and that you really, really want to do, and then it's never a job.
Speaker AThat's so cool.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CSo cool.
Speaker ANow you got to do a lot of.
Speaker ATo me.
Speaker AIconic things.
Speaker AYou were.
Speaker AYou were the Indiana Jones stuntman during the Full House.
Speaker ADisney was.
Speaker AYou had a little bit of a mullet back then.
Speaker CYeah, I had a big old mullet.
Speaker ANow, were you also in the Donnie Wahlberg New Kids on the Block Wildest Dreams?
Speaker CNo, that wasn't me.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CI think that was.
Speaker CI think that was Larry Lee.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ABut you got to be the Star Wars Indiana Jones during that.
Speaker CI did.
Speaker CI did.
Speaker CAnd what an honor that show was because it was three shows for one night, and George Lucas was in the audience.
Speaker CAll.
Speaker CThey were all there.
Speaker CAll the Star Wars, Mark Hamill, they were all there.
Speaker CAnd the fact that the fans were so into this, it was just.
Speaker CWhen I dropped in from the ceiling, I.
Speaker CI've only heard that applause once later, since then, but it was just uproarious.
Speaker CIt was just so loud.
Speaker CThey were so into the show.
Speaker CAnd I.
Speaker CThere was a part where I was going through the punjis, and you know that we.
Speaker CWe combined Star wars and Indiana Jones together.
Speaker CRight, right.
Speaker CThis one show.
Speaker CSo Jar Jar's head was on one of the punjis.
Speaker CIt was covered up so they couldn't see it.
Speaker CAnd then when the punji popped up, that cover stayed down, and his head was supposed to be on top of the punji.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CWell, the gag didn't work.
Speaker CI went through the punjis.
Speaker CJar Jar's head came off.
Speaker CAnd then I looked at it, and I'm like, I gotta do something.
Speaker CSo I went down the stairs, I picked up Jar Jar's head, and I like this.
Speaker CHolding his head like this.
Speaker CAnd I went, really, George?
Speaker CJar Jar.
Speaker CAnd I stuck it on the punji and I went up the stairs.
Speaker ASeems like every show is just so, so much fun to you guys.
Speaker AHow much improv are you allowed to throw in there?
Speaker ATo me, not much, because the lines seem to be the same every single show, and I've seen a lot of them.
Speaker CYeah, I know.
Speaker CI know you have.
Speaker CSo we do have.
Speaker CWe do have leeway, you know, to improv if the situation arises and we need to fill time or fill space.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CBut for the most part, yes, the show just runs from beginning to end, usually all the same dialogue.
Speaker CBut the show is never the same.
Speaker CI have to tell you that it has never been the same for 35 years because you have different cast members who do things differently.
Speaker CAnd some are great, some are not.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AWho are not.
Speaker ANo, I'm just kidding.
Speaker AI'm not going to be just kidding.
Speaker AJust kidding.
Speaker ASo how many years.
Speaker AAnd I know you took a break to do some other stuff, but how many years from start to finish, did you play Indy?
Speaker CI would for a total of 30 years.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker CAnd that.
Speaker CThat 30th anniversary show where they invited everyone who had ever been a part, whether you were talent or tech or costuming or stage manager or show director, they were all invited to the 30th anniversary show.
Speaker CAnd that is the second time I heard that uproarious applause when I dropped in and they found out who the indie was that was doing the 30th.
Speaker CNow, I didn't get to do the whole show.
Speaker CI only got to do scene one.
Speaker CBut that was an honor and I was so honored to be able to do it.
Speaker ASo had you stopped playing Indy at that point and they had you kind of come back to it for one night, limited time magic?
Speaker CWell, kind of.
Speaker CI mean, for the most part, yes.
Speaker CI had moved on.
Speaker CThey put me into one of the acting roles in the show, and I was happy to do that because they also told me that I would still be able to train the indies when they came in.
Speaker CAnd that's my passion, seeing the light in someone's eye when they finally get the whip or a high fall that they, you know, might have been a stumbling block for them when they finally feel good enough to do it.
Speaker CSo, yeah, I was still doing it, but it was rare.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AYou know, what.
Speaker AWhat I.
Speaker AWhat I love about you and what I'VE heard in interviews.
Speaker AAnd just first of all, it, whether you're the director or the talent director or, you know, the various roles that you play now, it looks like you're having so much fun.
Speaker CI am.
Speaker AIt's like, it's, it's, it's like this is just fun for him.
Speaker ABut you tell a story, and I love that you appreciate the small things, like when you've trained a new indie, but you tell a story about a picture that you saw with a father and their child.
Speaker ACan you kind of talk about.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AGives me goosebumps.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CSo I needed something to inspire these new people that were coming in because, you know, I'm old school and I'm all about emotions and emotions and Indiana Jones, they, they tie themselves together very well.
Speaker CAnd I needed something for these new indies to kind of latch onto, to know, for them to know how important it is what you're doing out there.
Speaker CSo there was a father and a son.
Speaker CThey both had Indiana Jones hats on.
Speaker CAnd the father's got his arm around his son like this.
Speaker CBut I took the picture from the backside so they're looking at the show.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd that picture just speaks volumes about what that dad is giving up.
Speaker CBecause as a father, you always want your son to look up to you and just.
Speaker CYou want to be.
Speaker COh, sorry.
Speaker CYou want to be his hero.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd that picture just conveyed it so well.
Speaker CSo I tried to convey that to my new indies and that's really all I had to do is show them that picture because they, they understood.
Speaker CYes.
Speaker CWhat they're doing.
Speaker CThey are portraying a character, but there's more to it that you are that kid's hero at that moment.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd that, it just means so much.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThank you for sharing that.
Speaker AThe first time I heard that story, I've, I've, I have used that story and I credit you in for, for, for my staff because it's just such a cool moment.
Speaker AAnd I mean, you embody what it, what it is to be a Disney cast member that you know to just how important every single role that's being played out at Walt Disney World is.
Speaker ASo I love that story.
Speaker AThank you for sharing.
Speaker CThank you so much.
Speaker CThank you.
Speaker AWhat, what is the biggest difference between playing indie 30 years ago and then someone playing indie now?
Speaker AWhat are the biggest differences?
Speaker CPlaying it 30 years ago was a lot harder.
Speaker CIt truly was.
Speaker CWe didn't have the huge ceiling fans that they have now.
Speaker CThey're actually, actually called big ass fans.
Speaker CAnd yes, they are wonderful.
Speaker CThey're Wonderful.
Speaker CThey keep the audience cool and they keep us cool, but we didn't have those back then.
Speaker CAnd in the middle of summer, it was extremely hot.
Speaker CWe.
Speaker CWe.
Speaker COur costume was not as finely tuned as it is right now.
Speaker CThe boots that we wore back then were construction boots.
Speaker CSteel toe.
Speaker AOh, my gosh.
Speaker CThey weighed probably 10 pounds.
Speaker CAnd that's not a lie.
Speaker AOh, my gosh.
Speaker CAnd the word probably the worst is that during peak seasons, we had 14 shows a day.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker AOh, my God.
Speaker AI think you peak now at six, two casts.
Speaker COkay, so you had seven and seven.
Speaker CAnd if one of your indies didn't show up for the PM cast, you were asked, hey, can you stay?
Speaker CAnd you had to do another probably four shows.
Speaker AOh, my goodness.
Speaker CIt's crazy.
Speaker CBut I was a lot younger then, and I.
Speaker ASo I think you get.
Speaker AYou peak at six shows now, right?
Speaker CYeah, we have five.
Speaker AFive, Five.
Speaker CFive shows a day.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AAnd so, yeah, we.
Speaker AThere's not really an opportunity for the nighttime show anymore, which was always my favorite as a kid.
Speaker CI know.
Speaker CAnd that show, I'm telling you, is designed to be done at nighttime.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CThe lighting on the.
Speaker COn the berms and the lighting in.
Speaker CIn scene one.
Speaker COh, it's just fantastic.
Speaker AIt's incredible.
Speaker AI got to tell you, when I was a kid, I would go see three indie shows per day.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI would go to the first.
Speaker AYou all stop.
Speaker AI go to the.
Speaker AI would go.
Speaker CStill a kid.
Speaker AI am.
Speaker AI am.
Speaker AEspecially when it comes to the Indiana Jones stunt show.
Speaker AI have to.
Speaker AKevin.
Speaker AI have to watch myself, because sometimes I'll say the lines and.
Speaker AAnd I.
Speaker AI try to say it very quietly so that I'm not ruining the show for everybody else.
Speaker ALike, my favorite line is that.
Speaker ACan you explain the dangers of working with pyrotechnics?
Speaker AAnd then usually Big Steve is my favorite.
Speaker AWorking with pyrotechnics, it's dangerous.
Speaker AIt's my favorite.
Speaker AAnyway, three shows.
Speaker AFirst show, and then I would force my parents to take us to backlot Express, and we would sit by the table right by the fence so I could see from the side.
Speaker AAnd then we'd go see the nighttime show.
Speaker CThat's amazing.
Speaker ASo I know the show very, very well.
Speaker CYeah, you do.
Speaker AAny.
Speaker AAny chance of the audience volunteers, but more importantly, the plant and audience coming back?
Speaker CUnfortunately, I don't think that will happen.
Speaker CI really wish it would.
Speaker CI really do.
Speaker CWe just got back our honorary assistant directors, which is a.
Speaker CIt's a step in the right direction.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker CSo we have two kids coming oh, you know, two or one or sometimes three.
Speaker CAnd they come down and they say, lights, camera, action, and the show starts.
Speaker CAnd that is, like I said, a step in the right direction.
Speaker CBut I think the powers that be, they.
Speaker CThey kind of like how the show flows.
Speaker CRight now it's.
Speaker CIt's pretty much, you know, a half an hour to 35 minutes long.
Speaker CAnd when we add the extras, it's about a 45 minute show.
Speaker AOh, wow.
Speaker ASo I guess I never really also.
Speaker CHad to maintain costumes.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CYou know, but boy, would I love to see that come back.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CFor me, still fighting for it.
Speaker AWell, keep that fight going, Kevin.
Speaker AAlso, I'll be the first on the, on the petition.
Speaker AI, you know, the plant was my favorite part.
Speaker AOh, gosh.
Speaker ALike, you know, the, the, the violent volunteers, that's whatever.
Speaker ABut the plant coming out, that was.
Speaker CI gotta tell you, that was one of my favorite roles to play.
Speaker CI got to do the show.
Speaker AOh, really?
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker COh, yeah.
Speaker CAnd I would be in the audience.
Speaker CI'd be like, scooting across the aisle, you know, trying to find my seat.
Speaker CAnd then she'd pick me.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker CBut I had popcorn in my hand, Right.
Speaker CSo I turn around, like I was surprised.
Speaker CAnd the popcorn would go everywhere.
Speaker COr I had it.
Speaker CI had an ice cream in my hand and I would bring that down on the stage.
Speaker CAnd then when she had me balance on one leg, I would balance.
Speaker CYou can find this on YouTube, I'm pretty sure.
Speaker CAnd then I would lose my balance and I'd throw the ice cream up as high as I could.
Speaker CIt would splatter.
Speaker CI'd pick it up and I take a bite.
Speaker COh, that was a fun, fun role, I'm sure.
Speaker ASo back in the day, did you get opportunities to play different roles?
Speaker CObviously, I.
Speaker CI absolutely did.
Speaker AWithin the little bit.
Speaker CI have been every character within the show except for the giant and Marion.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAnd now Robert's been.
Speaker AHas he been with you since the beginning?
Speaker CHe was six months after me.
Speaker CIt's very funny because on the Disney plus special, I don't know if you saw it.
Speaker CI'm sure you saw it.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CAll right, so behind the scenes, listen.
Speaker AI am a normal person, I promise.
Speaker AI know it's coming across as a little bit creepy, but I am normal.
Speaker CSo on that, they mixed it up of who Robert was and who I was, and they said that he was a Day 1 cast member.
Speaker CAnd I'm sitting there watching it in the green room with him, and that announcement came on and I went, the hell you are.
Speaker CAnd that's been the running joke ever since.
Speaker CHe's just a Day One cast member, but actually he and Michelle Waitman came in together six months after I did.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AAnd Michelle's still with the show.
Speaker ASo is.
Speaker CMichelle is still with the show, and she's still doing Marion.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker AThat's crazy.
Speaker CHe's amazing.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AIs that where the joke.
Speaker ABecause I catch it every once in a while where Justin says, I just want to make mom and dad proud, is that when both of you are on in the show together at some point that.
Speaker AThat's when that line comes out.
Speaker CWell, I'm.
Speaker CI'm.
Speaker CI'm not his dad, but he calls me dad and I call him son in the show, so I call him son when I see him.
Speaker AWho's your favorite current Indian?
Speaker AWhy is it Justin?
Speaker CAnd why is it.
Speaker AOr why is it Justin?
Speaker ABecause really, that's all we're here to talk about is just.
Speaker ANo, I'm.
Speaker AI'm only kidding.
Speaker AJustin's been so nice to me.
Speaker AEvery time I'm there, you know, he says hi and all that.
Speaker AI think he initiated the the Wanted poster in the green room.
Speaker CBut no, Justin is amazing.
Speaker CAll of the indies right now that are lucky enough to portray this character, they are all fantastic.
Speaker CIf I had to pick one, Do I have to pick one?
Speaker AYou don't have to pick one.
Speaker COkay.
Speaker CI mean, I can.
Speaker AOh, oh, then if.
Speaker AIf you can, then let's do it.
Speaker CIt's Aaron Zolden.
Speaker AAaron.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AHe's a good one.
Speaker CHe is fantastic.
Speaker CHe.
Speaker CHe's also.
Speaker CWe're.
Speaker CWe.
Speaker CWe train now together.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CWe're like co trainers when the indies come in.
Speaker CAnd he just has the same mindset that I do and that I did when I did the role.
Speaker CThere's no one who has more pride about the role right now that's doing it than him.
Speaker AHe's so cool.
Speaker ANow, can you take me through?
Speaker ABecause sometimes I'll see an indy perform scene one, the temple scene, and then a different indie in scene two, which is the.
Speaker AThe marketplace.
Speaker AAnd then sometimes that same indie in scene three, the plane, sometimes they'll go back to the first one.
Speaker AWhat's kind of happening there?
Speaker AAnd how is.
Speaker AWhy does that happen?
Speaker CThat's a great question.
Speaker CSo you more than likely were lucky enough to see a new indie going into show because that's how we get them in.
Speaker CWe start with.
Speaker CWhen we start our training, we start with scene one.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CBecause it's the most difficult.
Speaker CYou got to remember, there's no other Actor on stage to help you.
Speaker CYou know, you are just.
Speaker CIt's just you and 2,000 people out in the audience watching you.
Speaker CAnd I don't want the audience to be bored.
Speaker CYou know what I mean?
Speaker ARight.
Speaker CSo they have to tell a story and that story has to unfold as you're going through the stunts.
Speaker CSo we'll start with scene one and then when they are signed off in scene one, they'll be able to do it in show.
Speaker CAnd then our full time indie will come in for scenes two and three.
Speaker CAnd then as they progress and they learn more, then we jump to scene three because that's the next scene that they would learn that's not as involved.
Speaker CYou have one actor that you're really, well, two.
Speaker CBut it's just not as involved.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker CScene two is of course, you know, the most involved.
Speaker CSo that's the last scene that we train them on and that's the last scene they go in, go into.
Speaker ASo cool.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker AHow long does it take to learn the whip routine?
Speaker CSo it varies with each indie that, that we train.
Speaker CI've had guys who come in and pick it up and they may have never picked it up in their life, but they're just very aware of their body and, and how it moves and.
Speaker COr they play baseball.
Speaker CPlaying baseball, believe it or not.
Speaker CHat is a great training ground to use a whip.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CBut they have nine weeks to learn the show.
Speaker CThat's it.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker CAnd that's a lot.
Speaker CIt's a lot of information.
Speaker CThe note sessions are long and lengthy and then as they get better, they get shorter and shorter.
Speaker CBut yeah, only nine weeks to learn the show.
Speaker ANow is that overnight rehearsals?
Speaker AIs that overnight?
Speaker AWhen does that process happen?
Speaker CIt happens after our daily ops.
Speaker CSo our last show will end.
Speaker CThey'll more than likely the text will do a burn off getting rid of all of the gases that are on stage.
Speaker CAnd then we can start soon after that and we'll go to 9, 30, 10 o'clock.
Speaker AOh, wow.
Speaker CIt's not a lot of time.
Speaker CYou know, that's just.
Speaker CIt's less than four hours that they get.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker CAnd it.
Speaker CThere's the other.
Speaker CThe other side of the coin is that if I'm only training one indie, that's not really as good as training two.
Speaker CThree is almost too much, but it still works.
Speaker CBut two is great because one can watch the other one.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker CThey can get in on the note sessions together, learn from their notes, you know, what we're looking for and what we want.
Speaker CAnd then they also get A break.
Speaker CSo they get to sit and rest and then.
Speaker AOkay, come on.
Speaker CYou're back on now.
Speaker ADo you still perform the stunts when you're training?
Speaker CI do.
Speaker AHow much fun is that?
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker COh, that's.
Speaker CIt's my.
Speaker CIt's my joy.
Speaker CYou have no idea.
Speaker CUnfortunately, they.
Speaker CThey made me stop doing rope drop.
Speaker CI don't know why.
Speaker CThere's no reason for it because I can still do it.
Speaker CBut I was nicknamed the golden retriever of the rope drop because when I got up there to do the rope drop, it's just.
Speaker CIt's so exciting.
Speaker CIt's the best ride in the park.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker AI bet.
Speaker CReally is.
Speaker CDo you know what it is?
Speaker AI've heard that it's a similar technology as something on thunder mountain.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CSpace mountain.
Speaker ASpace mountain.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CSo it is a space mountain braking system.
Speaker AThat's crazy.
Speaker CAnd we are the car, you know.
Speaker ARight, right.
Speaker AThat's so cool.
Speaker CYeah, it's pretty fun.
Speaker ADane, I'm hogging all the questions.
Speaker AYou have any questions for Kevin Persard, the original Indiana Jones stunt performer at Hollywood studios?
Speaker BI do.
Speaker BI want to go back to the audition.
Speaker BWhat was the audition like?
Speaker BLike, what did they have you have.
Speaker AYou do?
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker BBecause if you didn't know you were.
Speaker CAuditioning for indie, I had no idea.
Speaker CAnd there, like I said, there was an action character named Jack.
Speaker CAnd we were brought into the room.
Speaker CSome of us had more than one People brought people that were brought into the room.
Speaker CAnd some of us went in just by ourselves.
Speaker CI was lucky enough to go in by myself.
Speaker CGlenn Randall was there.
Speaker CBarbara Epstein was there.
Speaker CShe was our acting coach.
Speaker CI didn't know who she was, but I found out later she's.
Speaker COh, she's.
Speaker CAnd she's fantastic.
Speaker CShe makes you see things differently that you would not think about, you know, as an actor.
Speaker CAnd I really appreciated that.
Speaker CAnd then I did the script that they gave me.
Speaker CI read it, and I left.
Speaker CThey weren't looking at how I threw a punch or anything.
Speaker CI will say that they did go one step further with me because they had me not do a dance, but move right.
Speaker CAnd back in the day, I could move well.
Speaker CI'm not a dancer.
Speaker CI would never classify myself as Dan as a dancer.
Speaker CI did.
Speaker BWas that you did do musicals.
Speaker BLike, didn't you do Tarzan rocks?
Speaker CI absolutely did, yes.
Speaker CAnd earlier, I.
Speaker CI mean, I've taken dance classes.
Speaker CI took a lot.
Speaker CI.
Speaker CI mean, I married a ballerina, so I didn't have a choice, but they had me move at the audition.
Speaker CAnd I think that's what got me the job, because Glenn liked the way that I moved.
Speaker CI didn't move like a dancer.
Speaker CI moved like a man.
Speaker AInteresting.
Speaker BInteresting.
Speaker CYeah, yeah.
Speaker BI was just curious what, like, you know, what they told you if they didn't.
Speaker BIf, you know, obviously they didn't say it was for the.
Speaker BThe Stunt Spectacular.
Speaker BTell us a little bit about what opening day was like for the show.
Speaker COpening day was so exciting because Michael Eisner was there, George Lucas was there as well.
Speaker CThe audience was just so pumped up and so was the cast because we had, you know, we had worked for nine months and our script changed.
Speaker CI can't tell you how many times we went through daily changes.
Speaker CWe had a script book that was like about this thick, and if you had different color pages, you had a brand new script and you had to learn those lines before you went out on stage.
Speaker BWhich were you hired before Jerry came in to redesign the whole show?
Speaker CJerry who?
Speaker BJerry Reese.
Speaker AI think you're making up.
Speaker AIs this a Remy fact?
Speaker BNo, no, no.
Speaker AThey.
Speaker BThey had like an original.
Speaker BMaybe, maybe, maybe.
Speaker BThis is not known.
Speaker BBut they had.
Speaker BApparently they had a.
Speaker BLike an original show and then they completely overhauled it to be something completely different.
Speaker CYes, that did happen.
Speaker CSo, yes, I was hired, I guess, before this person.
Speaker CI don't know who that person is.
Speaker CI don't recognize that name.
Speaker BBut I was just wondering.
Speaker CBut we had a pre show before the actual show started.
Speaker CThere were these two characters named Bubbles and Bernie, and they were the.
Speaker CLike the crowd warm up.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd they had a good 10 to 12 minute shtick that went on before the actual casting, you know, bringing down the extras and all of that.
Speaker CSo that was crazy.
Speaker CThat was a really long show.
Speaker AYes, I remind.
Speaker AI vaguely remember that.
Speaker AI feel like.
Speaker AYeah, that's.
Speaker CWell, when we first opened too, you know, the park had opened, but our show was not quite finished yet.
Speaker CBut Disney thought it would be great if they opened up the audience and allowed the guests to go in and watch the rehearsals.
Speaker CSo, yeah, we were in a goldfish bowl for the longest time.
Speaker BThere's two goldfish bowls in at one point.
Speaker AThat is my new answer for if you could invent time travel, what would you go back and do?
Speaker AThat's one of my things.
Speaker AI would go back and watch the rehearsals of Indiana Jones before it opened up.
Speaker CYeah, they were fun.
Speaker CThey really were.
Speaker AAny.
Speaker AAny blooper moments from a show that you can remember.
Speaker AAnd what's your favorite?
Speaker CThere's so many blooper moments that Happen.
Speaker BThe disaster that everyone talks about in the 90s where the boulder came off the track.
Speaker COh, that's the only time it's on YouTube.
Speaker CYou'll find it.
Speaker CAnd it is listed as that disaster at Walt Disney Studios.
Speaker CYeah, it's actually part of my tour.
Speaker CWhen I give a tour of the stage, it's one of the things I'll pull up on YouTube and show them.
Speaker CNow, the thing about it is the indie that is in that video, he was fantastic.
Speaker CHe was a great Indy.
Speaker CAnd unfortunately, he did get injured.
Speaker CHe had a lot of nerve damage in his legs, and he never really came back to our show, which was sad.
Speaker CNow he went on and he's got a great career right now, but it was kind of sad what happened to him because we all loved him so much at our stage.
Speaker CBut what was my point?
Speaker BI didn't know that he got injured.
Speaker AYeah, that's.
Speaker COh, the blooper.
Speaker AThe blooper moment.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AYour favorite blooper.
Speaker CThere is a.
Speaker CAnd I won't mention the Indy's name, but there was an indie who was being checked off for scene one.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CActually, he had been checked off, and he was performing his first scene one in front of an audience, and the show director and myself were sitting in the audience, and he was starting to go through the punjis, and he just misstepped.
Speaker CThat's all he did.
Speaker CAnd when he did, the punji went up his back, so it went under his jacket.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd he's kind of on there.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker CNow, he could have gotten off, but what he did, he took the satchel, which is under the jacket, and he went like that, essentially locking himself onto the punji.
Speaker CSo that's known as the dick on the stick.
Speaker AHow did he get.
Speaker ADid they have to lower the punji?
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CCut, cut, cut, cut.
Speaker CStart again.
Speaker AI will say the indies nowadays, especially when that boulder doesn't come out and they call cut.
Speaker AAnd you usually give it to two chances.
Speaker CYep, we'll give it two chances.
Speaker AThey are incredible at keeping that crowd going.
Speaker CThey really are.
Speaker AYes, they're breaking character.
Speaker ABut I don't.
Speaker AThey do it so well.
Speaker AI don't even care.
Speaker AIt doesn't matter.
Speaker CI know.
Speaker CIt doesn't matter.
Speaker CThey do a great job.
Speaker CWe have one that we call the Pandering King, because he just.
Speaker CHe.
Speaker CHe panders the audience so well.
Speaker CAnd he really does.
Speaker CHe does a great job.
Speaker CAnd then later he'll incorporate that because he'll.
Speaker CHe'll get.
Speaker CYou know, he'll raise his arms like that and Try to get the audience to applaud.
Speaker CAnd they'll applaud.
Speaker CAnd then he incorporates that later in his interview and he'll finish the interview and go like this.
Speaker CAnd they'll dream bloody murder for it.
Speaker AWould that be Ryan?
Speaker CYes.
Speaker AI've seen.
Speaker AI've seen him do it.
Speaker AThis is okay, Kevin.
Speaker AI assure you, I'm normal.
Speaker AI've got a wife, three kids.
Speaker AThe fact that I know this much.
Speaker AI'm a normal person.
Speaker AI promise.
Speaker APromise.
Speaker CIt's all right.
Speaker CI promise it's all right.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker CIt's so great to.
Speaker CI.
Speaker CI'm telling you, I.
Speaker CI love the fans.
Speaker CThere is nothing better.
Speaker CThe fans are why we are still there.
Speaker CSo please don't ever apologize.
Speaker AAll right, listen, I had a scary moment when, when the announcement of Monsters, Inc.
Speaker AComing to Hollywood Studios and I was scared for a moment because in that same announcement is, oh, Animal Kingdom's getting into Indiana Jones Ride.
Speaker AI was like, I know, I know.
Speaker CWe.
Speaker CWe all held our breath too.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut thankfully we're just getting rid of the Muppets.
Speaker AThey don't matter.
Speaker AKeep sad.
Speaker AIt's very sad.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AI don't.
Speaker AListen, I'm excited about Monsters, Inc.
Speaker AI'm not excited about the placement.
Speaker AI think that there were better places.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker AAnimation Courtyard, but.
Speaker CExactly.
Speaker BLet's not get political here.
Speaker CBut.
Speaker CYes.
Speaker ADane.
Speaker ADane has a love for animation.
Speaker AThe animation.
Speaker AHe did a whole.
Speaker AHe.
Speaker AA YouTube video.
Speaker AThe building.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHe did a full documentary.
Speaker AInterviewed some of the.
Speaker AThe animators and some of the original imagineers from.
Speaker AFrom that building.
Speaker ASo he's got a love for that.
Speaker BI know.
Speaker BI do love that.
Speaker AKevin?
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker ABefore we let you go.
Speaker AWhat.
Speaker AWhat do you want the audience to know about you and your story and just, you know, all of the indies.
Speaker AWhat's.
Speaker AWhat's kind of the.
Speaker AThe I don't know.
Speaker AThat's a vague question.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker BKevin, what's your schedule like for tomorrow?
Speaker BWhat do you do?
Speaker CI'm working.
Speaker AAny.
Speaker AWhat are the.
Speaker AWhat's the future for Kevin?
Speaker CThat's a great question.
Speaker CEspecially right now because I'm.
Speaker CLike I said, I'm at 37 years with Walt Disney World.
Speaker CLoved every minute of it.
Speaker CI'm trying to make it to 40.
Speaker CI'd like to be that 40 year cast member.
Speaker CThat would be fun.
Speaker CI don't know if that's going to happen or not, but it might.
Speaker CMy wife and I are starting to plan our retirement.
Speaker CYou know, I'm 63 years old and.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CAnd I love being 63 years old, but I want to enjoy my kids, and I want to enjoy my wife.
Speaker CI want to travel with her.
Speaker CSo I don't know.
Speaker CI really don't know what the future for Kevin holds yet.
Speaker CRight now, I am still happy where I am.
Speaker CI still laugh every day.
Speaker CI don't go in.
Speaker CYou know, I gotta do five shows.
Speaker CI feel blessed and lucky to be able to do five shows.
Speaker CSo, yeah, I'm good.
Speaker CI'm good where I am.
Speaker AThat's incredible.
Speaker CAll right, so I take the training away from me.
Speaker CThat might be a different story.
Speaker AOkay, so as long as you keep the training that prolongs your career there.
Speaker AOkay, Gotcha.
Speaker CAbsolutely.
Speaker BI need to ask you about the Dial of Destiny premiere.
Speaker BWhat was.
Speaker AHow did I forget this?
Speaker AMy bad.
Speaker CIt's the pinnacle.
Speaker BWell, you didn't know about the interview, so you got it.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker CIt was the absolute pinnacle of my career at Disney.
Speaker CI was told at the end of a show by Rayvon, who is the Disney ambassador, who came on, and there were cameras that came on behind him so they could film the whole thing.
Speaker CAnd he surprised me and told me that I was going to Hollywood to be on the red carpet to meet Harrison Ford and watch the movie, and I could bring my wife.
Speaker CWhat?
Speaker CAre you kidding me?
Speaker CWell, my wife didn't want to go because she knew the whole thing was going to be filmed and documented, and she just didn't.
Speaker CShe's not into all of that.
Speaker CSo it was my wife that suggested, why don't you take Michelle, who was my Marian of 30 years?
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CI said, that's a great idea.
Speaker CI'll ask.
Speaker CWell, I didn't have to even ask.
Speaker CMichelle was already saying, yes, I'll go.
Speaker CAnd that was.
Speaker CIt was just a wonderful trip out to Hollywood.
Speaker CThey sent us out there, where we had a day before the actual premiere and got to kind of toodle around Hollywood a little bit.
Speaker CThat was fun.
Speaker CI ate a lot.
Speaker BA lot of good food in Hollywood.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CAnd then the night of the actual premiere, man, they treated us from start to finish like we were Hollywood stars, truly.
Speaker CThey picked us up in limousines.
Speaker CThey dropped us off in limousines.
Speaker CThey.
Speaker CThe night of the premiere, they.
Speaker CThey met us down in the lobby.
Speaker CThey escorted us to where we were going.
Speaker CWe got our badges.
Speaker CWe got the microphones.
Speaker CWhy do we need microphones?
Speaker CI don't know, but we needed microphones because, look, we found out later we were doing an interview.
Speaker CAnd that was fun because being interviewed by the Hollywood reporter I had no idea what they were going to ask.
Speaker CAnd I was pulling answers out of my butt.
Speaker CAnd I just.
Speaker CI did.
Speaker CI didn't want to sound like a stupid stuntman, you know, I.
Speaker CAnd not that there are stupid stuntmen.
Speaker CI'm just saying I wanted to hopefully answer the questions as eloquently as I possibly could.
Speaker CAnd I think I did.
Speaker CEverybody said it was.
Speaker CIt was good, so I felt good about that.
Speaker CBut then it came time, and we were escorted in front of the wall where all the pictures happen, right?
Speaker CAnd there's like 300 photographers in front of you, and they're all, you know, calling your name.
Speaker CAnd I'm trying to get pictures.
Speaker COkay, great.
Speaker CIt was so exciting.
Speaker CAnd then we were escorted away.
Speaker CWe were like, in a holding area.
Speaker CAnd this beautiful blonde woman comes over to me and goes, kevin Broussard.
Speaker CAnd I went, yes.
Speaker CAnd she grabs my hand, takes me over.
Speaker CShe goes, kevin Broussard, Harrison Ford.
Speaker CAnd I started to introduce myself, and he.
Speaker CAnd he stopped me and said, oh, I know who you are.
Speaker CYou're the two stunt people from Florida.
Speaker CYou're Kevin and you're Michelle.
Speaker CAnd my mouth did exactly what yours is.
Speaker CIt dropped.
Speaker CJust.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker CAnd he was so kind, so gracious with his time.
Speaker CWe, you know, we.
Speaker CWe had this interaction with him.
Speaker CWe've probably lasted about three minutes.
Speaker CAnd we thought, oh, my gosh, you know, this is a busy man.
Speaker CWe need to let him go.
Speaker CAnd we were thanking him, and he goes, well, don't you guys want a picture or something?
Speaker CAnd we're like, that would be great.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker CIt was quite.
Speaker CQuite the event.
Speaker CAnd then we got to go watch the movie.
Speaker CAnd I don't know if you know this or not, but before the movie started, they brought all the stars up onto the stage and the director as well.
Speaker CAnd then I believe it was George who announced what was going to happen next.
Speaker CAnd the screen was absolutely enormous.
Speaker CI've never seen a bigger film screen.
Speaker CIt was just enormous.
Speaker CAnd he was talking about how the film all came together, but of course, it would be nothing if John Williams had not come out of retirement and, you know, done the score.
Speaker CAnd then he goes, ladies and gentlemen, John Williams.
Speaker CAnd this huge screen raises up and there's a full orchestra behind.
Speaker CI mean, it.
Speaker CIt was just surreal.
Speaker CIt was unbelievable.
Speaker AThat's so.
Speaker CAnd then he wanted to explain how the theme came to be, the new theme.
Speaker CYou know, it was just.
Speaker CIt was amazing.
Speaker CJust amazing, right?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThat's incredible.
Speaker ADane, do you know the difference between Kevin and Harrison Ford, I think about $200 million.
Speaker BOh, okay.
Speaker BI thought you meant like the role.
Speaker AI was like, no, it's a line from the show.
Speaker CNo, it's a joke from the show.
Speaker AHas Harrison Ford ever seen the stunt show?
Speaker CYes, he has.
Speaker CHe's been there and he got to see a wonderful.
Speaker CIndy performed the show.
Speaker CJeff Robinson.
Speaker CWho?
Speaker CJeff Robinson.
Speaker CReally had Harrison Ford's run down.
Speaker CHe had it pat, man.
Speaker CThere was nobody that could mimic his run like Jeff Robinson.
Speaker CThat's did an amazing job.
Speaker CAnd I know Harrison loved the show when he was done.
Speaker AVery good.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker ADane, any.
Speaker AAny last questions for Kevin?
Speaker BYeah, I'm gonna have to find the phrasing for this once.
Speaker BBut you.
Speaker BYou.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BYou mentioned earlier about your.
Speaker BYour.
Speaker BYour wife and.
Speaker BAnd children.
Speaker BI'm assuming your children are now grown up.
Speaker BDo they know dad is Indiana Jones or do they know dad is Kevin?
Speaker CBoth.
Speaker CThey know me as dad and they know me as Indy.
Speaker CIt's.
Speaker CIt's been great having this role and having the kids and bringing them to see the show.
Speaker CMy son was just an Indiana Jones aficionado.
Speaker CHe knew everything about Indiana Jones when he was growing up.
Speaker CMy daughters were the same.
Speaker CThey knew everything.
Speaker CThey loved it.
Speaker CNow, one of the.
Speaker CMy fondest memories of the Indiana Jones show and Scott, you'll be able to see this.
Speaker CDane, have you seen the show?
Speaker BYes.
Speaker COkay, good answer.
Speaker BNot as many times as Scott, but yes, I have.
Speaker AI don't think anybody's seen it.
Speaker BI don't ever seen.
Speaker BI probably have.
Speaker BI'm sure.
Speaker BI'm sure I have seen you in it.
Speaker CI hope.
Speaker CI hope you have.
Speaker CSo I was.
Speaker CI came out of rope drop.
Speaker CI hit the ground.
Speaker CI had lit my torch and my daughter and my wife are in the front row in the VIP section and my daughter's on the bar like this, right?
Speaker CJust so excited.
Speaker CAnd I go down to blow the dust and I hear, daddy, Daddy.
Speaker CWell, now my shoulders are shrugging because I'm laughing.
Speaker CThe audience knows that's my daughter.
Speaker CThey're laughing.
Speaker CIt was the best moment.
Speaker CIt was just so great.
Speaker CShe just wanted me to say hi, so I did.
Speaker CI just.
Speaker CI shot her a look and I waved and I.
Speaker AThat's adorable.
Speaker CMy business finish the show.
Speaker AI love that.
Speaker CBut it was such a great moment.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AKevin, hang on one second.
Speaker BHere.
Speaker BI'll ask a question.
Speaker BDo you think you ever play indie again?
Speaker BYou think you do it one last time?
Speaker CI would love to.
Speaker CI absolutely would love to.
Speaker CBefore I leave.
Speaker CThat's my plan.
Speaker CSo I'll let You know, you're in remarkable shape.
Speaker BI mean you, you, you easily could, it looks like.
Speaker CI.
Speaker CThank you.
Speaker CI appreciate.
Speaker CNo, I work very hard.
Speaker CI'm at the gym seven days a week because I just, I think if you stop, you start to break and I don't want to start to break.
Speaker AYeah, sorry.
Speaker AI had to, I had to grab my 12 year old real quick.
Speaker AI said, sweetheart, come here.
Speaker AShe goes, that's the director from Indiana Jones.
Speaker AMy.
Speaker AI have.
Speaker AMy daughter is just as big of a fan.
Speaker AShe doesn't see the show as much as I do because she's got that thing called school.
Speaker ABut let's tell her I said hi.
Speaker AI will, I will.
Speaker AI asked her, I said, do you want to say hi?
Speaker AShe's in middle school so she's too cool for that, you know.
Speaker COh, it's a shame.
Speaker AWell, Kevin, thank you.
Speaker AThis was a huge thrill.
Speaker ADane, thank you for the birthday gift.
Speaker AThis was happy birthday by the way.
Speaker AThank you so much.
Speaker AThis was incredible.
Speaker AI like I said I heard an interview with you on a different podcast.
Speaker AI don't remember what it was.
Speaker AIt was just.
Speaker AI was on a YouTube wormhole just finding different old indies and their videos, posting.
Speaker AThere's one who goes through scene by scene on how all the effects work and I'm like, oh, the magic.
Speaker COh yeah.
Speaker CThat guy was never supposed to do that.
Speaker AOh, I'm sure, I'm sure.
Speaker ABut I heard your interview and it was incredible.
Speaker AAnd, and you're just so humble and you appreciate the role and you appreciate the role that you play in it and I just appreciate your time so much.
Speaker CThank you, Scott.
Speaker CThank you so much.
Speaker CWell, this has been a pleasure.
Speaker CI've had a.
Speaker CIt's been a blast.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker AThank you very much, Kevin.
Speaker CYeah, anytime.
Speaker BThank you so much, Kevin.
Speaker CThank you, Dane.
Speaker CAll right.
Speaker AAll right, Bye bye.
Speaker AThat was incredible.
Speaker BHappy birthday, my man.
Speaker AThank you so much.
Speaker AOh my God.
Speaker AI didn't, I mean I could have talked to him for another hour.
Speaker AYeah, but he gave us, he gave us 40 minutes.
Speaker AI didn't want to, you know, I didn't want to bogart his entire.
Speaker BIf it wasn't 8:20 at night, we could have gone even longer with him.
Speaker BI feel like he's.
Speaker BYeah, he's such a great guy.
Speaker BI reached out to him.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHow did you do that?
Speaker BSo, okay, so it was very hard to keep it from you.
Speaker BSo if anyone doesn't know.
Speaker BScott didn't know anything about this.
Speaker BWe did not.
Speaker BMe and Ryan, we did not tell him about this.
Speaker BI Had this idea a few months, months ago.
Speaker BI was like, what if we did like an Indiana Jones epic stunt spectacular, like, episode and we got Justin because all of us follow each other on Instagram and we got the original indie and then that.
Speaker BI was like.
Speaker BAnd then from there I was like, scott's birthday is coming up.
Speaker BI just get the original indie form for his birthday and play it off as a birthday guest to get like, like birthday, birthday present interview.
Speaker BSo I reached out to him, I just emailed him and he was just like, yeah, where and when?
Speaker BWhenever, whatever you need.
Speaker BIncredible.
Speaker AAmazing.
Speaker AAmazing.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker ASo that was such a big thrill.
Speaker AYou know, I've.
Speaker AI've wanted to have.
Speaker AI've.
Speaker AI've thought about reaching out to him to come on parents night out, but.
Speaker ABut it doesn't make any sense.
Speaker AThat's not the nature of our show.
Speaker AAnd, you know, the nature of our show.
Speaker AIt doesn't necessarily.
Speaker AOh, we tried, we tried to do interviews, but it just doesn't work.
Speaker AAnd I'm all about content first, but in this format, it's totally cool.
Speaker BAnd I, I appreciate creation that that falls in the realm of so many different things.
Speaker BSo, yeah, on this show we've been able to get musicians and actors and stuff like that on.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo, yeah.
Speaker CYeah.
Speaker AThat was.
Speaker AThat was incredible.
Speaker AThat was incredible.
Speaker AI'm sorry.
Speaker AI asked all the questions.
Speaker BThose were better questions than the one I had.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker AWell, I know.
Speaker BWere so basic.
Speaker BI mean, the, the problem is I.
Speaker AYou know, I know so much about that show and the people that are in it.
Speaker AI know.
Speaker ABut it comes across real creepy, Dane, when I'm like, okay, well, your daughter Sally sue was born on December day.
Speaker ALike, that's a problem, Dane.
Speaker ABut no, seriously, thank you.
Speaker AThat was.
Speaker AThat was incredible.
Speaker AThat is.
Speaker AThat is a highlight moment for me.
Speaker AAnd if you don't mind, what I would like to do is I'd like to.
Speaker AAfter we release it as creators united, I'd love to release it as a parents night out episode as well.
Speaker AIf there's ever.
Speaker AIf there's ever, you know, a week where we have to take off because that was.
Speaker AThat was so much fun.
Speaker AAnd please send me the video.
Speaker AThat was cool.
Speaker AI'll be watching it tonight when I.
Speaker ANever mind.
Speaker AI'm just kidding.
Speaker AI'm just kidding.
Speaker BI don't want to say that, man.
Speaker AI'm just kidding.
Speaker ANo, I'm just kidding.
Speaker AThat was.
Speaker AThat was incredible.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker AI.
Speaker AI can't say thank you enough.
Speaker AI'm.
Speaker AMy, my, My cheeks are hurting from from smiling.
Speaker AThat was so cool.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker BWell, let's end the lesson.
Speaker BLesson.
Speaker BEnd this episode off right here.
Speaker BI got a question for you, my man.
Speaker BSince Ryan is here, I'll do the question.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BTop three Indiana Jones movies.
Speaker ATop three.
Speaker ADoes it have to be in order?
Speaker BIt could if that's your list.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ANo, I, I've got it in order.
Speaker ATemple number one.
Speaker ATemple of Doom's my number one.
Speaker ALast Crusades number two, Raiders number three.
Speaker AThat I would put Dial of Destiny is four.
Speaker AAnd the.
Speaker BCrystal Skull.
Speaker AYeah, that one as a deep five.
Speaker AI would maybe even put it as number six.
Speaker AI would probably put that lower than the young Indiana Jones series that came out, which was God awful.
Speaker BDude, I'm gonna disagree with you.
Speaker BI'm putting Dial at Destiny at five, and then I'm putting Crystal Skull at four.
Speaker BIf we're doing that because I like Dial Destiny.
Speaker BI, I like, I like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Speaker BBefore they start on the actual getting to the crystal skull stuff.
Speaker BLike, the half of that movie is, I think, spectacular.
Speaker BI think.
Speaker CI don't.
Speaker AYou know what?
Speaker AYou know what, Dean?
Speaker AI don't disagree with you.
Speaker AI think I, I, I.
Speaker AYou may be right.
Speaker BLike, the fridge thing is silly, but, like, this is the same movie.
Speaker BLike Raiders ending.
Speaker ALike, do you know why the, do you know why the fridge thing is in there?
Speaker BYes, and I.
Speaker BForget it.
Speaker BTell me.
Speaker AIt's, it's homage to the original Back to the future concept.
Speaker BReally?
Speaker AThe original back to the future concept?
Speaker ARobert Zemeckis was going to use a refrigerator and a nuclear.
Speaker AYeah, that was going to be the time travel.
Speaker BHuh?
Speaker BOh, that wasn't the reason.
Speaker BI thought then, so.
Speaker AYou know, Dean, you've, you've so.
Speaker AAnd Ryan had said this once that if you think about all of the Indiana Jones movies, they all have a supernatural type ending to it.
Speaker AAnd I never really appreciated that until he said that.
Speaker AAnd so it does make Crystal Skull a little bit better because I just.
Speaker AFor me, it was just so far out there with the aliens.
Speaker BThe only thing, the only thing that I, the only reason I don't like the alien stuff being in the movie is because.
Speaker BOkay, so first the alien thing that was supposed to be in Raiders, right?
Speaker BThat was like an original concept by George.
Speaker BHe wanted to make an Indiana Jones like, Alien movie.
Speaker BLike, that was a very early concept, I think.
Speaker AAt least it never becomes a franchise if he does that.
Speaker BYeah, that is true.
Speaker BI don't, I think that's why he actually didn't do it.
Speaker BBut I'm pretty Sure.
Speaker BThat was a concept for a very long time that he had.
Speaker BSo it's not out of the ordinary for an Indiana Jones to have aliens in it.
Speaker BThere were, There were basically aliens in it at the end of Raiders with the demons and stuff that.
Speaker BOr whatever it is, you know.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BBut the thing that makes the movie, it's the way that the movie is written.
Speaker BIt's the way that the aliens are written into the story and it's the way that the aliens look.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BI feel like.
Speaker BI feel like it would have been a lot better movie is if the.
Speaker BAnd.
Speaker BAnd this might.
Speaker BIt probably makes no sense.
Speaker BIt would probably make it worse actually, now that I'm thinking about it, if they actually never actually saw the alien and then like the bones never came alive again.
Speaker BBecause that's where it loses me.
Speaker AYeah, agreed.
Speaker BNow that is too much.
Speaker AYou're not wrong.
Speaker AIt was a really good movie until that moment, and that moment ruins it.
Speaker AYou're right.
Speaker AYou're right.
Speaker AAnd also it.
Speaker AI think I struggled seeing Harrison Ford as.
Speaker AAndy's so old.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BAnd it was like, performances aside because in Crystal Skull the performances are not very good.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BIn my opinion.
Speaker ATo me it was so odd because you have these three iconic movies, you know, Raiders, Temple of Doom and.
Speaker AAnd Last Crusade and then what, 20, 30 years later they do Crystal Skull and.
Speaker AAnd to me it was almost like he had time traveled because you're used to seeing him in the 30s and 40s and now he's in like the 50s and 60s.
Speaker AIt just didn't make any sense.
Speaker AI struggled with that.
Speaker AWhereas Dial of Destiny.
Speaker AI knew he was old, I knew what to expect and technology's gotten a lot better.
Speaker AThe, the making him younger gave me that easy transition.
Speaker ASo I think like the.
Speaker AI think the filmmaking may have been better.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker ABut come to think of it, Dial Destiny is a very slow moving movie until the end.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker AI get it.
Speaker AI get it.
Speaker AI just.
Speaker AI did like Dial Destiny better.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd then.
Speaker BAnd then also for me it's Dial Destiny number five, Crystal Skull.
Speaker BFour, three is Temple of Doom and then two is Last Crusade and then number one, Raiders.
Speaker BI don't know why people like Temple so much.
Speaker BIt is.
Speaker BI don't like it.
Speaker AI'll tell you, for me, it was the first one I ever saw.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BThere you go.
Speaker BThat's the reason for a lot of other people.
Speaker BBut I just don't like.
Speaker BI, I don't know why I've never gotten.
Speaker AYeah, I think that was the first.
Speaker BOf how weak the supporting character is.
Speaker BLike the supporting female Spielberg's wife.
Speaker BLike, her.
Speaker BDon't like the character.
Speaker BI.
Speaker BI don't like the character.
Speaker AWell, I get it.
Speaker ABut I think, you know, I think the problem.
Speaker AWell, I think.
Speaker AHere's the problem.
Speaker AWhy did they go away from Karen Allen in the.
Speaker AIn the next two movies?
Speaker BI.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker AI think it makes a stronger story if you keep Karen Allen instead of these just different damsels, you know, I don't know.
Speaker AYou know, I had a problem with that.
Speaker ABut again, I saw Temple of Doom first, so to me, it was always.
Speaker AIt was always her.
Speaker AAnd I was like, oh, who's this Marion?
Speaker AIt doesn't make any sense.
Speaker AI love Short Round.
Speaker AI love the, you know, the scene when they're.
Speaker BI like Short Round.
Speaker AThe scene when they're at dinner was one of the neatest scenes to me with all the different foods and, you know, and I loved my mom's reaction to the bug seed, you know, it was just so cool.
Speaker AAnd then I saw Raiders much later.
Speaker AI actually saw Raiders after seeing the Indiana Jones stunt show, so I think.
Speaker BI might have, too.
Speaker BI.
Speaker BI most definitely did.
Speaker BNow.
Speaker BYeah, think about it.
Speaker BBecause I saw that.
Speaker BThe stall, the sun show, and I was like 3 and 5.
Speaker AAnd I think some of the scenes in the stunt show are better than the ones in the movie, you know?
Speaker BNo, I can't agree with you there.
Speaker AThe marketplace scene.
Speaker AI.
Speaker AThe marketplace scene is just.
Speaker AIt's longer in the stunt show and it's funnier.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker BIt's stopwatch when you're watching.
Speaker ANo, no, no.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker AAnd the.
Speaker AI don't love Raiders as a movie.
Speaker AI love the scenes that they duplicate in the movie or in the sun show.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ABut yeah, it's my least favorite of the original three.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BLast Crusade is such an underrated movie.
Speaker AIt is.
Speaker AIt is true.
Speaker ASade and I could put Last Crusade over Temple of Doom because it's so funny.
Speaker ASean Connery was so funny.
Speaker AAnd they brought back some nostalgia, you know, bringing.
Speaker ABringing John Reese Davies back and then Marcus Brody, who.
Speaker AYou know, neither of those two guys were in the second movie.
Speaker ALike, the second movie is almost like a standalone movie.
Speaker BSecond.
Speaker BIf you think about it, technically, isn't that a prequel?
Speaker BDidn't that take place Beef, Isn't that supposed to take place before Raiders or Temple of Doom?
Speaker AYeah, it could.
Speaker AI think you're right, because I think the timeline order is.
Speaker AI think the timeline order is.
Speaker ABut now that's the release date.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker BTemple of Doom takes place in 35.
Speaker BAnd then Raiders takes place in 36.
Speaker AOkay, so then that would make sense.
Speaker BI've heard the new Indiana Jones game is really good, too.
Speaker BI haven't played it at all, but I've heard it's really good.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd then Curl Skull takes place in 57.
Speaker BJeez.
Speaker BAnd then 1969 for the dial Destiny.
Speaker AI gotta tell you, I'm not like.
Speaker AI.
Speaker AI love the Indiana Jones stunt show.
Speaker AThe Indiana Jones movies are not, like.
Speaker AThey're not my go to.
Speaker AIf I'm gonna watch just classic films that, you know, I grew up on, I'm going Jurassic Park.
Speaker AI'm going back to the future.
Speaker AI'm going.
Speaker AI'll go back Star Wars.
Speaker AI wouldn't put Indiana Jones is, like, my favorite franchise.
Speaker AIt's just the stunt show.
Speaker BI would agree with you.
Speaker BI would agree with you.
Speaker BI would agree with you on that.
Speaker BAnd again, this in, you know, the stunt show, it's.
Speaker AIt's why I love Old School Epcot.
Speaker AIt's nostalgia.
Speaker AIt's my childhood.
Speaker AWhat's that?
Speaker BYou said?
Speaker BYou said Epcot.
Speaker ANo, no, I know why I love the Indiana Jones stunt show so much now is.
Speaker AIt's just why.
Speaker AIt's the same reason why I love Old School Epcot, because it's my childhood.
Speaker AIt's nostalgia.
Speaker AYou know, like Horizons, World of Motion Universe, the original universe of Energy, the original imagination.
Speaker AAll of those things were my.
Speaker AMy childhood.
Speaker AMy first experiences at the Disney parks were these attractions.
Speaker ASo, you know, even Magic Kingdom, which I can't stand now just because I can't drink there, and it's so busy and it's hot.
Speaker ABut, you know, Indiana Jones Stunt show represents the last thing that's still there from the first time I visited that, and maybe Star Tours, but Star Tours isn't even the same as it used to be.
Speaker AYou know, there's nothing that.
Speaker AThere's nothing left at Hollywood Studios or even.
Speaker AI can't think of an original ride that hasn't been changed.
Speaker AI mean, Spaceship Earth, you know, most.
Speaker BThat hasn't been changed at all.
Speaker AWell, Spaceship Earth has been changed.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker ABut it's still.
Speaker AIt's.
Speaker AIt's still the original ride with some.
Speaker AWith some modifications.
Speaker AI think that's why I love that ride so much.
Speaker BThe land, living with the land.
Speaker BThat's technically been changed.
Speaker BLike the song and stuff like that.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABut it's.
Speaker AIt's still the same ride, so I think that's why I like that one.
Speaker AImagination is.
Speaker AI mean, it's awful.
Speaker AIt's there.
Speaker AI don't think it's off.
Speaker AI don't think it's awful.
Speaker AAnd the song still exists.
Speaker ALike the song and Figment are the only two things that exist from the original ride.
Speaker AThere's some, there's some.
Speaker AReally.
Speaker BThe only attraction that has not been changed at all is Small World.
Speaker BOther than that, like even Peter Pan's flight, that's been updated a little bit.
Speaker BLike the different projections.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker APirates.
Speaker AThey added Johnny Depp.
Speaker AThe Haunted Mansion.
Speaker AYou added the Hatbox Ghost.
Speaker AAnd updated technology.
Speaker AYeah, no, I mean, you're right.
Speaker AThunder Mountain.
Speaker BI mean you can look in stuff in Animal Kingdom, you can expedition Everest.
Speaker BBut that's.
Speaker AYeah, but, but again, that's not from my childhood.
Speaker AThat's, you know, 1990 or 1998, I think.
Speaker AYou know, that's.
Speaker AI was 18 years old.
Speaker AThat's not my child.
Speaker AAnd I didn't go to Animal Kingdom until I was, you know, much older.
Speaker ABut Indiana Jones stunt epic Stunt spectacular.
Speaker AThat is my childhood.
Speaker AThat the very first time I went to that park I saw the Indiana Jones stunt show.
Speaker AAnd so it's just, you know, everybody thinks I'm silly for, for why I love that show so much.
Speaker AWell, and the thing is, you know, we joke about Justin and all that.
Speaker AIt's.
Speaker AIt's the guy who plays the dream job that I never, you know, that I never got to.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd he's someone who talks to me.
Speaker ASo it's about him and it's more about like, hey, I get to interact with this person every once in a while and, and you know, I know it's.
Speaker AI'm 45 years old.
Speaker AI need to grow up a little bit.
Speaker ABut anyway, Dane, this was a super fun episode.
Speaker BAbsolutely.
Speaker AThank you.
Speaker AIncredible.
Speaker BHappy, happy birthday.
Speaker BScott, you want to take us out?
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ADane, what do you.
Speaker AWhat you got anything?
Speaker AComing up on Big Beautiful Diz.
Speaker BI do I.
Speaker BDo you want a little topic reveal?
Speaker ASure, let's hear it.
Speaker BSo I'm doing a video on something that's actually you, you know very well doing a little video on a pal Mickey.
Speaker AOh, wow.
Speaker BSo yeah, yeah.
Speaker BOn email exchanges right now for that video actually because I'm getting information about it.
Speaker BSo yeah, doing a video about Pal Mickey.
Speaker BThat's gonna be loved.
Speaker BPalmiki next week.
Speaker BNext Christmas week.
Speaker BIt's coming out on Saturday.
Speaker BSo that I love.
Speaker AGod, I love pal Mickey.
Speaker AThe only problem is you couldn't, you couldn't hear him.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AYou know, because it gets so loud in the park.
Speaker AYou can't you gotta hold him up to ear.
Speaker BYeah, yeah.
Speaker AAnd you never knew when he was gonna talk.
Speaker BBut originally I shouldn't say that.
Speaker BNever mind.
Speaker BI was gonna.
Speaker BThis video is gonna come out before that video.
Speaker BNever mind.
Speaker BI'll tell you.
Speaker BAll fair.
Speaker AReally cool concept.
Speaker AReally cool concept.
Speaker AJust very expensive at the time, you know, I think it was 50 bucks, which.
Speaker B60.
Speaker A50 bucks.
Speaker A60.
Speaker AOkay, so 60 bucks back in the early 2000s, and you can get an interactive one at Universal right now for 50.
Speaker AYeah, you know, and.
Speaker AWell, I mean, it is, but like, 60.
Speaker A60.
Speaker AYeah, 60 bucks back then.
Speaker AI say back then, like, it was like, you know, anyway, so.
Speaker ABut right now, if you were to buy that.
Speaker AIf you were to buy that right now, it probably about 120 bucks in the parks.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AEasily 100 bucks.
Speaker ABut cool piece of technology was ahead of its time.
Speaker AVery poorly executed, in my opinion, because it didn't.
Speaker AIt didn't, didn't.
Speaker AIt didn't last.
Speaker AIt didn't survive.
Speaker BYeah, 60 bucks in 2003 is now $102.
Speaker AThere you go.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BHow about you?
Speaker AWhat's.
Speaker BWhat's.
Speaker BWhat's coming up on Parents to Night Out.
Speaker AWell, we haven't really discussed what is next on.
Speaker AOn Paris Night Out.
Speaker AWe were talking about some things.
Speaker AWe're talking about ways to kind of enhance the show a little bit and just get better.
Speaker ABut it's always a fun time.
Speaker AWe're still trying to, I think, find our new identity and how that works within the show without losing what we've been.
Speaker ASo check that out.
Speaker AYeah, check it out.
Speaker AWhile we're still trying to find ourselves, we're like an awkward team.
Speaker AThere you go.
Speaker AThere you go.
Speaker AAll right, Well, I guess without further ado, as Chris job would say, 15 times an episode, let's end this thing.
Speaker AOn behalf of Dane and Ryan Omsky, Scott, thank you so much for watching, and we'll see you next time.
Speaker CListening.
Speaker BLove you, Scott.
Speaker ALove you, Dean.
Speaker ASee you later.
Speaker CPoopy Bus Only friends Just the old.
Speaker AAnd the bold in the world of.
Speaker CKiss, we're the ones you hold.
Speaker AScott, Chris, Sarah, and Naked tale to be told.
Speaker AWelcome to the podcast where adulting unfolds.
Speaker AWhere adulting unfolds.
Speaker AWe're adulting unfolds.
