Welcome back to another episode of health acts as I continue talking about the importance of gut health, and today I am talking about detoxification and gut health. And if you've been following me for a while, you know that I am a big proponent of the need to detoxify our bodies in today's world. And in fact, I was just at an echo life reimagine health summit, and I was talking to people there, and they were asking, how many detox detoxes have you done? And I counted it up, and January 2025, will be my 20th detox, because the toxins are always coming in, and so we need to always get them out. And so once a quarter for the past four years, I have been detoxing, and this is critical to the health of our gut, because, of course, our detox organs, our liver and our kidneys are housed in our gut microbiome, and when they get overwhelmed they can't do their job properly. And when they can't do their job properly, that simply results in inefficient detoxification, if any, detoxification at all, as well as a build up of inflammation. And all of that leads to a an imbalance in our gut microbiome. And we don't want any of that. Because if you've been tuning in and listening to these episodes, which started back at episode 400 and actually, I've lost count now, where it started back at it started back at episode 484 and we are now on Episode 494 so go back and start watching from the beginning, so you can capture all of this really important information about looking after the health of our gut, and in that process, we are looking after our Liver and our kidneys are two very important detoxification organs in terms of doing detoxes. Of course, that's something that I guide people through all the time. If you go to my website, your guided health journey.com, and under training, you can find my online self guided detox program that you can sign up for and do at a time that is convenient for you. And of course, there is no perfect time to do a detox. It's just a matter of biting the bullet and doing it and getting those toxins out. And the benefits that you will feel are so profound, from better sleep, more energy, less brain fog, less aches and pains, etc, etc, in addition to increasing fiber in your diet to in this day and age, most people are not getting enough fiber in their diet to support their entire digestive tract, their gut health and detoxification process, as well As staying hydrated, excuse me, which I've talked about previously, as well drinking 50% of your body weight in order to be flushing those toxins through and out of your body, and, of course, eliminating processed foods, which are just full of toxins and chemicals of all sorts and varieties. And we just don't need to be eating those on a regular basis and putting them into our diet. So detoxification has so many profound health benefits, anti aging benefits, benefits to our skin health, and as I've said, improved energy, improved sleep, less brain fog, less aches and pains, etc. It is well worth learning how to do it in a supported program that where you can learn how to do it well and be able to then continue that as part of your lifestyle moving forward in order to optimize your gut health and your overall health.
