Hi podcast fam the first episode of 2022. Uh, and I can not wait. Abs, as you gathered from the title, we are diving into simplifying sales today. You guys know, I love talking about sales and selling and making money and having money and part of it. Making money in a business is selling. And over the new year winter break vibe, whether you took time off or not, I definitely took lots of time off from client calls and was just frolicking and having fun with family. But I was showing up on the socials and I was selling, and this episode was inspired by one of my biz, best friends. She literally voice memoed me via text. Just a couple days ago and said something to me that was really profound. And I was like, ah, got to create a podcast episode on this so that I could teach this and pour this into you because I get asked this a lot. And so she messaged me saying, I love how you just don't give up. She was like, Michelle, you just don't care what other people are doing or saying, or being. And she said, you're out here just selling in the midst of the holiday season. It feels zero force. It feels natural fun. And it doesn't feel like you're trying to hit some goal by the end of the year. You're literally just selling because you want to, you're selling to serve. And it's honestly just awesome. And I wanted to message you about it. And I want to share something with you with that, because one, she's not the first person that said that to me, my clients said. A lot of people messaged me on social. They're like, I just love your vibe. It just feels like easy. And. For quite some time in business. I used to think that sales had to be like this kind of stuffy feeling thing. And when I say that, what I mean is like prim and proper. And so like curated and I got to say the perfect thing. And if I mess it up, I'm rerecording 15 times and I'm like, I have to say the perfect thing. And what's the perfect thing that I could say today, so that someone reaches out to me and it did. So exhausting. And I got to the point in business where I just couldn't sell that way anymore, just because it felt way harder than it needed to. And that's what we're going to dive into today is just simplifying this whole thing for you. I'm not going to sit here. You guys know if you're 20 plus episodes in, you've been in my world for awhile. You know, that I don't believe business is always easy. I believe it gets easier. And I believe today after this conversation, we can make sales and selling easier for you, because I don't want you to feel stuffy. I don't want you to feel like you need to re record 15 untying times because in the reality, no, one's got time for that. We've got moms listening. We've got people with full-time jobs and they're running a business. We've got people that are just busy, AAF people that are just watching Netflix and don't want to be on their phones all day selling. We want to simplify the way in which we sell and we want it to feel good. Right? Can I get an amen as you're listening to this, I hope you literally said amen. On the other end of this emphasis. And so first thing that really allowed sales to feel simpler for me and I, this isn't like a sales strategy thing just yet. I'm going to get into all of those points in a moment, but one of the things that allowed me. To feel more comfortable, just one selling all of the time, breaking all my own rules and everyone else's rules and showing up when other people aren't necessarily showing up. Like, for example, throughout the holiday season, I was just selling cars. I had things to sell and you guys wanted to buy them. And I know that everything I create is like, so transformational, so I'm going to sell it. Yeah. But with that many people on social. Promote taking time off during the holidays. I'm not on social for two weeks. I'll see you peace out in two weeks. And that's like to each their own, all of it's right. Whatever it, all of it's. Right. I'm not placing any judgment. I'm saying this, like, literally, this is just fact if you see on, so if you were to look at social media during the holidays in the new year, this is what we were seeing. Right. And I know this, I've seen this for the last four plus years and people are with their families and they're taking time off and their. Claiming, they're not gonna be on social media for two weeks and whatever, and that can make us feel a certain sort of way of, oh, I'm not going to sell then because this mentor that I look up to, or my own coach or whomever is in selling or doing anything for the next two weeks. So I shouldn't, so I shouldn't do that in this point. That I'm about to bring up is the most important, because the moment I silenced everybody, I kid you not the only people I watch on social are my clients and my mentors that I currently pay. Even previous mentors. I don't watch them. I know I said what I said, cause I don't need to know what they're up to. I don't need to know what they're doing. I don't need to know what they're predicting. I don't, I don't need to know. I don't need to know. And the reason I'm sharing that with you is because this holiday season in particular. I felt so fun and so easy selling because it was on my own fucking terms, literally on my own terms, how I wanted to do it in a way that felt good. Literally, I traveled so much in December. We say that three different three or four different hotels, different states, weddings, holidays, et cetera. We had so much happening in December and it was one of our highest months of 2021. We're really proud of that. But it's because I decided to sell and show up how I wanted to, because I silenced the noise. And I want to pour that into you because I think so often in this industry, we get really caught up in following the leader. I don't think that that's a terrible thing, but it can get messy and it can fuck with you. And I'm going to be honest, the more I was following the leader. The more, it only held me back because I was taking on other people's beliefs and perceptions and predictions and I was making them mine. And that's something I want you to be aware of. What are you taking from other people and making it your truth, that isn't actually your truth. Same with sales. I can't tell you how often clients come into my world and they will say they were taught to sell like this or that they can only do it this way. And they can only do sales calls or they can only sell in the DMS, or they can only be direct or they can't voice memo. Like there's so many things out there that we're being told that if we allow them to. Dictate, what we do can hold us back. And I'm not saying to not get feedback and not lean into the people that you're hiring, but that's just, it lean into the people that you hired and stop trying to take advice from everybody on the internet. It's only going to hold you back in the moment. You can literally hear your own thoughts of what you want to do, how you want to show up and sell and be an ex. You will yield a greater result and there'll be more trust behind everything that you do. So let's dive in to simplifying sales because I know you guys want it. I can't tell you how many times I hear. I tell you just make it look so easy. Michelle, you just like are always selling. Like you guys know. I sell on the podcast. I sell on my emails. I sell on social. I sell all the time because I believe selling is serving. Selling, serves my community. It serves you guys cause you have an opportunity to work with me and be in my world and have your business and life transformed. And it also serves me. And that same mantra is true for you. Selling is serving, selling, serves you and serves your potential client. And your current clients, when you upsell them, number one, selling is serving and we've got to get over that selling is taking from people because it is just not, it is not now with simplifying selling. I really, especially in 2021, wanted to anchor in and feel and be, and create laid back. So. 'cause I was, I was tired of being stuffy. I was tired of recording the story 15 times. I honestly, I was tired of recording stories, lesbian real. If you were to watch my stories, now you guys know like maybe literally, maybe once a week, you will see me record a story. That's like maybe seven, eight, maybe 10 slides, maybe once a week. I'm not gonna say it's not more than once a week, sometimes depending on my mood and how I'm feeling. I lean into what feels good. And so here's what I mean with that. When it comes to laid back selling and leaning into what feels good, that doesn't mean I'm leaning into not doing anything. And I think that that gets really misconstrued of, oh, I'm going to do laid back selling and I'm going to lean into what feels good. But today I don't feel like selling cars. So like selling doesn't feel good. So like that's what I'm going to do. No, no, no, because we have commitments. I have goals. You have goals, and I've got to show up for those goals, but not from a desperate place. So what I like to do at the beginning of every single week is I like to write down what are all the ways in which I can make money this week. That's number one, write this down. What are all the ways in which I can make money this week? What am I currently selling? What offers am I currently selling? And today, meaning in the moment, what's the easiest way that I can sell this today. That changes everything. And then one more question I like to ask myself is how many times per week am I committing to talking about each offer? So right now to give you a full sentence, I am selling. Find your fierce. We started January 10th. By the time you're hearing this, it will be January 10th. And if you missed enrollment to get inside to find your fierce and you want 5k plus months, you want consistency. So I would write down those two things and then I would commit to how often am I going to talk about each of those things this week? And for example, cause I'm living in the, now as I'm recording this, both of those P the masterclass and find your fears start next week, they're happening in a week from now, I'm going to talk about both of them every day. And I'm going to ask myself that question again. What's the easiest way I can show up and sell this today. What's the easiest way I can show up and sell this today. And that allows for simple, cause I literally asked myself, how can I make this more simple? How can I make this? At aloud for laid back, but it also had me commit because oftentimes I think when we look at lay back and we look at things feeling easier or creating ease or simplifying, we then tune into like, well, what do I want to do? And sometimes the things that are going to move us forward, we don't feel like doing. And so that's why I like to make those commitments of, well, how many times per this week am I talking about the things that I'm selling? Oh, I'm going to talk about them every day. What's the path of least resistance. What's the easiest way for me to show up and sell this. That's how I'm going to do that. And something you were seeing me do to give you guys some examples and feel free to get your notebooks out here or come back to this episode, look at the timestamp and just come back. I, right now I'm like really into branding photo shoots, meaning like, I just want to have so many photos that. Or like branded for my mission and my message and what I do. And you guys see them, you see them on my feed and you see them on my stories because I want there to be a certain feeling. When you come into my world, I want you to feel SIO vibes, relaxed, vibes, fun, vibes, money vibes. I want you to feel that therefore, so I have those, I have them living in my phone. I have them from my photographer, et cetera. And I already have photo shoots planned out for 2022 to ensure that. Boatloads of photos and talking about this, because what I've done then as I've been able to take these photos that are so on brand for the things that I'm selling, that give you a feeling, when you see that photo, whether it's living on my feed or on my story, and I put text on it, you feel a certain way. When you see the money gun, and I'm promoting a money masterclass, you don't even need to have questions. You just want to be inside of there because there's a certain feeling. There's a feeling there's a vibe. Versus just like a selfie of me, which has those worked. But it's something I'm being really intentional about to allow for one my brand, to, to make you feel something. And for you to associate me with certain things, it's on purpose, but number two, to allow for selling, to feel even easier for me now that I have all these photos that emulate what I do and give you the feeling of the thing that I'm selling, I can just put text on it and that's one or two photos with text. But you read really quickly and you're like, yep. Send me the link. Yep. Michelle, I want you to. And I not saying again, not that I don't get on stories and talk about my offers, but really diversifying the way in which you're selling every single day is one going to feel better for you. But two is going to feel better for your community and your potential clients. They're going to be really attracted to you, diversifying how you sell. And if you were to watch my stories every day, for sure you can, most of you probably are. You don't have to, but if you were to just watch them for a whole week, And you were to just analyze how I sell. You will notice that I purposefully sell to you differently every day. Whether that's a screenshot of a contract, I just sent, maybe it's me cheersing some mocktails and celebrating a client, resigning another one, getting to the mastermind. And maybe I sold from that celebration post. Maybe it's somebody saying I'm in and the DMS and I screenshot that maybe it's a photo of me and I've got some more text on there. Maybe it's two or five or eight audio physical audio, me talking to the camera, selling to you, diversify it, but also simple Lafayette. And you'll be amazed at what happens when you do all of these things there. I put, like, I know I didn't have number bullet points today. Like number one, number two, number three. But everything that I just listed out and shared with you from a very transparent place, something I do as a business coach is I'm always looking for data and feedback. I'm never going to teach you and give you something that doesn't work. Everything I'm pouring into you. And today's episode is proven. It works and it's continually working over and over and over again. And yesterday I had a client ask me. So Michelle, what trends do you think are going to happen in 2022? And I use this loosely because again, I don't, I don't want you taking my predictions and making them yours if I'm being completely honest, because they're my beliefs, they're my beliefs. And they really don't have anything to do with you. And I want you to create your own beliefs and your own standards and what you want for this year. No matter what anyone fucking. Okay. That's first and foremost, but something I did say to her as I do, I'm seeing a trend of like my community in general, you guys are so attracted to this laid back feeling of selling and this laid back feeling and knowing of trust. And so that's something I want to pour into you when you're selling. When you're showing up is everything that we went over today, doing those things, asking yourself, What am I committing to talking about this week? How many times per week, what am I selling? What are all the ways in which I can make money? And what's the easiest way I can show up and sell this today and make money and then implementing and showing up and doing these things on repeat and diversifying how you're selling. But with that, my prediction is people are really attracted to that. Laid back real human, authentic, not perfect way of selling. We are craving less perfection than ever. We want the human real newness. Good newness. Give it to us. So do you have in your sales do that in your selling? Give it to us now, my homework for you. I want you to actually do this.
