Welcome back to another episode of health hacks as I continue talking to you about the importance of hydration and the benefit of hydration. And I'm actually talking about the 19th and 20th benefit of hydration today. So if you have missed previous episodes, I invite you to go back to Episode 379, which is where I started my series on hydration. So today I want to talk to you about kidney health and urinary tract infections. And with proper hydration this supports kidney function by facilitating the elimination of waste products through our urine and therefore reducing the risk of kidney stones and other renal issues. And it also helps reduce the risk of urinary tract infections by ensuring that the adequate water levels are helping to flush bacteria out of our urinary tract and reduce that risk of infection. And anybody who's had a urinary tract infection knows that it is absolutely no fun at all. So are you hydrating enough, look at the bottom of the screen, drink half your body weight in water every single day. And if it's a hot day, if you're exercising a lot, then you are going to want to increase that. And if you are doing a detox like my community detoxes that I run every quarter, you need to actually then be increasing your water intake to two thirds of your body weight in water on a daily basis to flush all of those toxins through your body.
