Emanuele Pani (00:01.934)
Two weeks ago, I was in a room with 8,300 people in Basel. Before the meditation started, Jodi Spenza asked everyone to open the journal or their phone and gave us three questions. The first question was what is the possibility you want? Something that doesn't exist yet. Second question.
What are all the parts of this possibility? Get specific. The clear intention and the clearer the intention, the better it is, the more real it becomes to your nervous system, to your life.
And the third question was what are the elevated emotions that go along with it? Not what you'll do when you have it. How will you feel? And then with that journal in our lap, with those answers fresh, he guided 8,300 people through a meditation where the only job
This meditation was this. Move between the clear intention in your mind and the elevated emotion in your body. Back and forth. Intention, emotion, intention, emotion. Until the mind and the body were speaking the same language. And that is what meditation is: not a daydream, not wishful thinking, not vision.
Boarding. It's a deliberate practice, precise tool for creating the reality that doesn't exist yet.
Emanuele Pani (02:05.858)
By living it in your body before you exist. And so today we talk about imagination. And the quote that Abraham Lincoln so beautifully said: to believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen, it's a triumph and a blessing. Welcome to CO Mindset, Episode 16. I'm Imam Le Pani. My friends call me E. Let's get into it. So
I am back in the States and it's lovely as always to be here. It's also lovely to do this episode on imagination. Being back here in the States, I think the States has a natural fabric, a natural energy where imagination lives a lot more. Italy tends to be more traditional.
and I think the states has always been whatever you want to do, you can do whatever you can imagine you can achieve, and so it's lovely to do this show here. And so last week we talked about self-image, the thermostat of your life, the mental picture you hold of yourself, that your nervous system treats as the truth. And so
I'm gonna give you now the tool that can help you reset that thermostat before the external evidence exists. Because again, if you wait for the evidence to show up, you might just wait for the rest of your life. And so the tool that we are going to use, that you're going to use, that I use, is called imagination. Neville Goddard, one of the most profound mystical teachers of the
20th century says something that I want you to hear clearly. Imagination is not a faculty for fantasizing. It is the most powerful creative force available to a human being.
Emanuele Pani (04:27.264)
Not some human beings to all human beings. I'm gonna say that again. Not to some, but to all. So if you're listening to this and you're already creating limitations for yourself in your mind, I'm not a creative person. Stop that. It's a mental faculty, you have it, everybody else has it too. Don't worry about it.
And so what he thought is that your imagination is not separate from reality. He thought that your imagination is reality.
At the level that precedes the physical. So everything that exists in the world around you was first imagined. The chair you're sitting on, or the car you're in, the phone in your hand, the building you're in.
First, imagine then real. And most people accept this is true for inventors and artic architects and artists. What they don't accept, which is what Godd spent his entire life teaching, is that it's equally true for the life that you're living. Your current life is
the physical manifestation of your habitual imagination.
Emanuele Pani (06:03.244)
Which means that if you want a different life
You need a different imagination. Not more discipline. Not better strategy. A different internal picture. Held with enough emotional intensity that your nervous system treats it as real.
an important piece. Go back to it.
Emanuele Pani (06:38.624)
So now I wanted to give you one of the most important reframes in this episode. Because when I say use your imagination, some of you, as you already said in this episode, are going to think, I've tried that. It doesn't work for me. I can't visualize. My mind just won't settle down. And I want to challenge that as directly as I can. Because there's a quote that I love.
And I believe in completely, which is the anxiety is the misuse of your imagination. And so think about what anxiety actually is. It is not the absence of imagination, it's imagination pointed in the wrong direction. The anxious person imagines vividly.
They see the worst case scenario in full detail, they feel it in their body, the tightening their chest, the racing thoughts, the physical response to something that hasn't happened and may never happen.
Almost like Joe Dispensa told us to do the beginning of the meditation.
Clear intention, even though it's negative, elevated emotion, emotion, intention, emotion, intention, and you feel it. And what I want you to understand
Emanuele Pani (08:12.106)
Is that anxiety
That's imagination. And that is not weak imagination, that is actually an overdeveloped imagination that has been trained on the wrong material in the wrong direction. Jodie Spenza confirmed this neuroscientifically that the brain cannot distinguish between a real experience and one that is vividly imagined.
With sufficient emotional intensity. Which means if you can feel the anxiety of the worst case scenario happening, you can feel the confidence of the best case scenario happening. If you can vividly imagine failure, you can vividly imagine success. The capacity is the same.
The only difference is where you are pointing it.
And here's the question that should change everything for every person listening right now. If you're going to use your imagination anyways, and you are, every moment of every day, why would you choose to imagine a reality that you don't want?
Emanuele Pani (09:48.672)
The choice is yours every single time.
So, what does deliberate imagination actually look like as a practice? So Dispenser breaks it down into those two components that must work together: clear intention and elevated emotion. Clear intention is the what? The specific possibility you want. No vague, specific.
Specific is a very important piece of this instructions. So it's not I want to be successful, is what does success look like? What are all of its parts? Who are you with? Where are you? What are you doing? What does your day look like? The clarity of the intentions determines how real it feels to your nervous system.
A vague intention creates a vague feeling. A specific intention creates a specific reality. Gonna say that again. A vague intention creates a vague feeling. A specific intention creates a specific reality. And so an elevated emotion is the how. Now, not what will you feel?
When you have it.
Emanuele Pani (11:25.1)
what you feel right now as if you already have it.
Because again, the way you feel will precede the thing itself.
Emanuele Pani (11:41.804)
And so what are you gonna feel like?
To have everything you've ever wanted. Are you gonna feel
Grateful? Joyful? Are you gonna feel free? Are you gonna feel love, abundance? I don't want you to perform them. I want you to generally cultivate in your body these feelings before the evidence exists. And here's the mechanism that Dispenser explains and that.
Maltz also saw in his Patience. When you combine a clear intention in the mind with an elevated emotion in the body, your brain and body enter the same state.
As if the experience is real. The same neuropathway fire, the same neurochemical release, and the same thermostat begins to reset. And this is why dispensal meditations work. Not because it's mystical or woo-woo, but because it's grounded in science. It is neurological.
Emanuele Pani (13:11.594)
You are literally installing a new program by experiencing the future in the present body.
And so I want to share with you what this looked like in my own daily practice. As always, I like to share my examples not so that you can copy them exactly, but so that you can get an idea of what this looks like in daily practice. Because I think most people get lost in the gap between concept and practice. So every morning, since the Jodie Spenza event, so two weeks I've been doing one of his meditations, I used to do something.
Different, his are just longer, right? They're like 40 some minutes, and he has an entire practice on feeling in your body and being present before it, which is lovely. And I also understand most people don't have 45 minutes. And so I'll share with you what my previous practice used to be. And so I built a mantra that I work around. I'm healthy, I'm wealthy, I'm fit, I'm open and abundant. And here is what makes this practice rather than just
words after each declaration I see it I feel it and I attach a specific vision to each one of these specific words so I'm healthy is not just a statement it's an experience I feel what it feels like to live in a body that is healthy that has energy that has strength
I feel that lightness of the 30 kilos that I've lost and I hold that feeling. Once again, this was present before I lost the 30 kilos. When I say I'm wealthy, isn't just hope. It's a state of being. I see what wealthy looks like for me. What are the daily practices? What does my life look like?
Emanuele Pani (15:21.742)
And I live there.
And what I want you to understand is that I don't just do this in meditation. Because the reality is if you spend fifteen, thirty, forty-five minutes every morning meditating.
That is great. And also, what are you doing? Where is your mind going the remaining ninety percent of your day?
And so what I started doing is I do this everywhere I go. So I'm out on my long runs, I'm saying those this mantra to myself and visualizing. And then again, progress not perfection. There is times that I start doing this, especially on runs, and my mind runs away from me. And then in that moment it's just being gracious, grabbing your attention back and focusing it back to where it needs to be.
If I'm waiting in a long line, I'm healthy, I'm wealthy, I'm fit, I'm popular and abundant, and the images that come along with it.
Emanuele Pani (16:29.836)
Because here's what I've learned. We are always imagining. And the question is never
If you're imagining, the question is always what you're imagining. And I believe Neville Godd this quote, The only limitation we have in our life is lack of attention and poverty of imagination. And so I made a decision.
The one that we talked about in the previous episodes. I made a decision that carries an amplitude of energy that my body responds to my mind.
And the fact is since I know that I'm going to imagine anyways
I am going to imagine the life that I am building consciously. Not the worst case, not the doubt, not the what if it doesn't work? I'm gonna spend all of my time imagining the life that I see.
Emanuele Pani (17:37.954)
The life I know the life is already real in here in here I'm pointing to my mind in here before it's real out there. And so
I want to tell you something that I don't say lightly. My entire current reality, everything that I'm living right now, is the product of my imagination over the last 12 to 18 months. And so is yours. My body, the speaking engagements, the four months every summer in Italy, the hotel in Sardinia that people told me last year when I first laid my eyes on it.
that it was going to be impossible to even visit, even get into. It's been abandoned, it's been locked down. Impossible.
Emanuele Pani (18:35.222)
I walked that this summer. And none of that was accidental, none of that was luck. I saw it, I felt it, I attached an elevated emotion to it, and I held it. Your only limitation is lack of attention and poverty of imagination. Repeatedly, consistently, before a single piece of external evidence, confirm whether
Or not it was possible.
And here's what I know with absolute certainty.
Emanuele Pani (19:15.724)
The more clearly I hold the intention.
the more generally I cultivate the elevated emotions, the faster the physical reality catches up to the imagination.
Not as hope, as law. This is just how the universe works. Because the universe doesn't respond to what you want. The universe is always responding to what you are. And what you are is the sum of what you habitually imagine with enough emotional intelligence, sorry, emotional intensity, to make your body believe that it's
Real. And so this week, one practice, as always, I like to give you guys actionable things to do. I want you to find 15 minutes. Morning is best before the day has a chance to install the old program. Because again, you cannot choose your first thought, you can choose your next five. Open a journal and just sit quietly and answer these three questions. And you don't have to do this every morning, right? The idea is to do it the first morning and then you go back to this journal and you see it because it's
the one thing that you're working on. And I want you to answer the three questions, the same one Dispensa gave us in Basel. One, what is the possibility you want?
Emanuele Pani (20:51.914)
Make it specific. Two, what are all its parts? See it completely, fully, with as much detail as you can. Where are you? Who are you with? What does your day look like? What have you built? And then number three, what are the elevated emotions that go with it? How do you feel in that life? Do you feel gratitude, freedom, joy, love? And then close your eyes.
And move between the clear intention in your mind and the elevated emotion in your body. Back and forth. Until they are speaking the same language. Do it every morning this week. And watch what starts to shift, not just in your circumstances, but in you. Because you always change first. The circumstances will just follow.
So once again, before I let you go, if this episode opened up something in you, if the anxiety reframe or any part of it landed, please go to Apple Podcast and leave a five-star review. I've been reading all the reviews. I am deeply, deeply grateful for all of you. And again, I think the anxiety reframe, especially, if you have one person in your life that has been living like that up until now, they could use that reframe and they could use that.
powerful anxiety that they've been living with to be redirected. Please share this episode with them. Once again, we are building something special together. And the more people find this show, the more people I get to help. And so once again I'm always deeply grateful for you guys. And so Abraham Lincoln, pretty big deal of of a guy I would say, said
To believe in the things you can see and touch is not believe at all. But to believe in the unseen is a triumph and a blessing. The unseen is not the unknown. The unseen is not the yet physical. It exists in your imagination, in the clarity of your intentions, in the elevated emotions.
Emanuele Pani (23:17.014)
in the body to responds before the world confirms it. And this is not mysticism, this is the oldest law.
And neuroscience now saying the same thing. What you what you imagine with enough clarity, with enough feeling, with enough consistency.
becomes. Not eventually, inevitably. You already have the tool
You've been using it your whole life. The only question is
Whether you've been using it to build the life you want or to rehearse the one you feel.
Emanuele Pani (24:09.72)
And so choose differently. Starting today. Starting right now.
guys.
