Foreign.
RoxyI'd love to play a little game with you if you're up for it.
Tracey TeeOkay.
RoxyAll right, so this game is called Shroom or Zoom. So basically it's going to be a rap rapid fire game and we're going to do like a what's real versus what's kind of out there. So there really no right or wrong answers. It's just more how you feel. So, so here we go. More moms are micro doing instead of medicating for exi, medicating for anxiety trend or overblown.
Tracey TeeI think it's real. It's, it's. I, I, I don't like to use the word trend, but I think it's happening. Yeah.
RoxyMushroom chocolate bars are the new mommy wine culture. Shroom or Zoom?
Tracey TeeZoom. I hate that.
RoxyYeah, you hate it. Why? Why do you hate that?
Tracey TeeBecause I think it's, it's not a replacement from mommy wine culture. I think we're, we're not, we're not numbing out anymore. We're dropping in. And so we're abandoning mommy wine culture for something that's much more embodied, so.
RoxyMuch more conscientious and. Yeah, absolutely.
Tracey TeeYeah.
RoxyMicrodosing for perimenopause symptom relief is exploding. Is it real science or just buzzy headlines?
Tracey TeeA little bit of both.
RoxyOkay. Okay, fair enough.
Tracey TeeTb. Tbd.
RoxyTBD coming down the pipeline. We'll see, right?
Tracey TeeYeah.
RoxyOkay. There's a growing mic. Mommy microdose movement or play dates are doubling as silos, silo syllabin circles. Do you see this happening?
Tracey TeeDo I see it happening, like in.
RoxyMy life or in the community around?
Tracey TeeYeah, yeah, I think, I think we're seeing a lot more moms microdosing. For sure.
RoxyPeople are saying that microdosing can actually help with your sex life. Is this true or false?
Tracey TeeI would say it's true.
RoxyReally? Okay, well, just because you, you have less sort of like, kind of guard up and you're more relaxed and.
Tracey TeeIs it. Yeah, you're, you're in your body. I would just say, like, take a microdose and go have sex and come and report back. Oh, you'll be disappointed.
RoxyBetter than alcohol then, in that way.
Tracey TeeOh, my God. Oh, my God. Yeah. Right? Yeah.
RoxyHalf the time I think if you're drunk, you don't even remember it anyway, so it's like.
Tracey TeeYeah, no, it's not. Well, it's, it's. Again, physiologically, it's not even the same thing. So. Yeah.
RoxySome therapists are designing whole pro protocols around psilocybin for creativity parenting therapy. Is this promising or problematic?
Tracey TeeVery promising.
RoxyDo you see it too? Do you hear about these things? Yeah, we've been hearing about the psychedelic retreats in Mexico, Costa Rica, all these kind of places. And they're starting to market more to moms. So do you think that this is where things are headed?
Tracey TeeYeah. Yeah.
RoxySo you see more moms kind of embracing these sort of opportunities and things like that?
Tracey TeeYeah, I think they're hungry for. I think the kind of days of like, going to Vegas are being replaced with going to a retreat.
RoxyOkay.
Tracey TeeI do.
RoxyOh, my God. The Vegas days.
Tracey TeeOr like a mom's. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. But for like a mom's escape or like a girl's weekend or whatever. Yeah, I think I'm absolutely seeing that more.
RoxyOkay. Some schools of thought suggest microdosing can make you more empathetic towards your kids. Is this shroom or zoom?
Tracey TeeVery shroom.
RoxyRight. It just. Does it give you more patience? Do you feel like.
Tracey TeeYeah, I think, you know, this is heart medicine. So compassion and gratitude are two big things that are just natural outcomes of working with psilocybin. And when you lead from that space and you have empathy or compassion towards your child, you're just naturally more present, you actually listen more, and it just becomes easier. Yeah.
RoxyBig wellness brands are flirting with psilocybin infused adaptogenic mushroom products. Is this the start of mainstreaming mushrooms? Shroom or Zoom?
Tracey TeeWell, legally, they can't. So if you're a big brand that's telling you that they have a microdose product, it doesn't have psilocybin because it's not legal to sell. So I would say that that's a zoom, but I know a lot of people are anxious to get into the market when it becomes legalized, for sure.
RoxyOh, my gosh, Tracy, you're amazing. Thank you, thank you. Thank you for coming on the iconic midlife and sharing your community and all the great work you're doing.
