Tracey Tee

Foreign.

Roxy

I'd love to play a little game with you if you're up for it.

Tracey Tee

Okay.

Roxy

All right, so this game is called Shroom or Zoom. So basically it's going to be a rap rapid fire game and we're going to do like a what's real versus what's kind of out there. So there really no right or wrong answers. It's just more how you feel. So, so here we go. More moms are micro doing instead of medicating for exi, medicating for anxiety trend or overblown.

Tracey Tee

I think it's real. It's, it's. I, I, I don't like to use the word trend, but I think it's happening. Yeah.

Roxy

Mushroom chocolate bars are the new mommy wine culture. Shroom or Zoom?

Tracey Tee

Zoom. I hate that.

Roxy

Yeah, you hate it. Why? Why do you hate that?

Tracey Tee

Because I think it's, it's not a replacement from mommy wine culture. I think we're, we're not, we're not numbing out anymore. We're dropping in. And so we're abandoning mommy wine culture for something that's much more embodied, so.

Roxy

Much more conscientious and. Yeah, absolutely.

Tracey Tee

Yeah.

Roxy

Microdosing for perimenopause symptom relief is exploding. Is it real science or just buzzy headlines?

Tracey Tee

A little bit of both.

Roxy

Okay. Okay, fair enough.

Tracey Tee

Tb. Tbd.

Roxy

TBD coming down the pipeline. We'll see, right?

Tracey Tee

Yeah.

Roxy

Okay. There's a growing mic. Mommy microdose movement or play dates are doubling as silos, silo syllabin circles. Do you see this happening?

Tracey Tee

Do I see it happening, like in.

Roxy

My life or in the community around?

Tracey Tee

Yeah, yeah, I think, I think we're seeing a lot more moms microdosing. For sure.

Roxy

People are saying that microdosing can actually help with your sex life. Is this true or false?

Tracey Tee

I would say it's true.

Roxy

Really? Okay, well, just because you, you have less sort of like, kind of guard up and you're more relaxed and.

Tracey Tee

Is it. Yeah, you're, you're in your body. I would just say, like, take a microdose and go have sex and come and report back. Oh, you'll be disappointed.

Roxy

Better than alcohol then, in that way.

Tracey Tee

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Yeah. Right? Yeah.

Roxy

Half the time I think if you're drunk, you don't even remember it anyway, so it's like.

Tracey Tee

Yeah, no, it's not. Well, it's, it's. Again, physiologically, it's not even the same thing. So. Yeah.

Roxy

Some therapists are designing whole pro protocols around psilocybin for creativity parenting therapy. Is this promising or problematic?

Tracey Tee

Very promising.

Roxy

Do you see it too? Do you hear about these things? Yeah, we've been hearing about the psychedelic retreats in Mexico, Costa Rica, all these kind of places. And they're starting to market more to moms. So do you think that this is where things are headed?

Tracey Tee

Yeah. Yeah.

Roxy

So you see more moms kind of embracing these sort of opportunities and things like that?

Tracey Tee

Yeah, I think they're hungry for. I think the kind of days of like, going to Vegas are being replaced with going to a retreat.

Roxy

Okay.

Tracey Tee

I do.

Roxy

Oh, my God. The Vegas days.

Tracey Tee

Or like a mom's. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. But for like a mom's escape or like a girl's weekend or whatever. Yeah, I think I'm absolutely seeing that more.

Roxy

Okay. Some schools of thought suggest microdosing can make you more empathetic towards your kids. Is this shroom or zoom?

Tracey Tee

Very shroom.

Roxy

Right. It just. Does it give you more patience? Do you feel like.

Tracey Tee

Yeah, I think, you know, this is heart medicine. So compassion and gratitude are two big things that are just natural outcomes of working with psilocybin. And when you lead from that space and you have empathy or compassion towards your child, you're just naturally more present, you actually listen more, and it just becomes easier. Yeah.

Roxy

Big wellness brands are flirting with psilocybin infused adaptogenic mushroom products. Is this the start of mainstreaming mushrooms? Shroom or Zoom?

Tracey Tee

Well, legally, they can't. So if you're a big brand that's telling you that they have a microdose product, it doesn't have psilocybin because it's not legal to sell. So I would say that that's a zoom, but I know a lot of people are anxious to get into the market when it becomes legalized, for sure.

Roxy

Oh, my gosh, Tracy, you're amazing. Thank you, thank you. Thank you for coming on the iconic midlife and sharing your community and all the great work you're doing.
