Stuck on who to start for week eight of fantasy football.
Speaker AWe've got the insights and answers to help you make those crucial decisions.
Speaker ANo one is on by this week, so hopefully you have lots of options for your.
Speaker AFor your teams.
Speaker AUm, we have lots of games, so let's just jump right in and see who's gonna have a good week.
Speaker BYeah, I just settled my lineups for going into the Thursday night game, and I did have lots of options, so that was kind of nice to see.
Speaker BWe have some questions about injuries still lingering out there that we'll have to navigate around, but not too bad.
Speaker BSo let's kick it off with Green Bay at Jacksonville.
Speaker BAnd Green Bay is favored by four points.
Speaker BThis is supposed to be our highest scoring game, which has me a little confused, but hey, we'll go with that.
Speaker BWe have the problem at Green Bay of trying to figure out which wide receiver to start.
Speaker BIt's just a mystery each week.
Speaker BAnd last week against Houston, it was Romeo Dobbs and Dontevian Wicks.
Speaker BI was counting on it being Christian Watson, which didn't happen.
Speaker BAnd when they're all healthy, it's just a toss up which wide receiver to start for Green Bay.
Speaker BI guess it's kind of always good because there's usually one sitting out there on the waivers and you can go grab them if you're desperate.
Speaker BBut this week, hopefully no one's desperate since we don't have any players on by.
Speaker BAlthough those injuries that have happened have been kind of crazy.
Speaker BSo you might be looking for one of these wide receivers.
Speaker BThey can all be played kind of sort of.
Speaker BLike I said, it's hit and miss what you're going to get with these Green Bay wide receivers.
Speaker BJacksonville is a mess led by Trevor Lawrence, who is just not really good.
Speaker BSo on the Jacksonville side, you're going to be starting Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker BIn this game.
Speaker BUm, Jacksonville's kind of sure to go down early and be throwing, and he's their main wide receiver, so I do like starting him because they're going to be passing.
Speaker BI also like Evan Ingram if he plays he what is questionable.
Speaker AWhat about Tank Bigsby?
Speaker AI picked up Tank Bigsby a couple weeks ago.
Speaker AShould I be starting him this week?
Speaker BTravis Etn has made it, made his way back to practice and maybe coming back into the game.
Speaker BSo, you know, there's some mystery there.
Speaker BI don't love the Tank Big spe start this week if Etn's playing, but I do like it if he's not there.
Speaker BI just hate sharing time, especially in A bad offense.
Speaker ASo definitely start Jordan.
Speaker ALove Brian Thomas Jr.
Speaker AEvan Ingram, probably start Jaden Reed, and hopefully he doesn't have too bad games.
Speaker AIf you have another Green Bay ride receiver, start him.
Speaker BYeah, I like Jaden Reed.
Speaker BJaden Reed was the favorite to go to until last week, and then he wasn't again.
Speaker BIt's a mystery.
Speaker BSo you're gonna have to, you know, make that call.
Speaker BGreen Bay does like to keep it balanced, so their running game is also in play.
Speaker BBut Jacksonville's allowing the seventh fewest rushing yards per game.
Speaker BSo that kind of takes out their.
Speaker BTheir running game a little bit.
Speaker BBut they're going to be running because they're going to be winning and they're going to be trying to make that game over with.
Speaker ASo what about Philadelphia at Cincinnati?
Speaker AWho should I be starting or sitting?
Speaker BSo the Eagles defense has played well the last two weeks, but you know, they played Cleveland and they played the New York Giants.
Speaker BSo how much did they really.
Speaker BHow much did we really learn about how good the Eagles defense is?
Speaker BIn week four, we saw Baker Mayfield light the Eagles up.
Speaker BSo now we're faced with the situation of can Joe Burrow do it?
Speaker BCause Joe Burrow is better than Daniel Jones or DeSean Watson.
Speaker BHe's.
Speaker BHe's a big step up.
Speaker BSo can Burrow light up the Eagles like Baker Mayfield?
Speaker BI think he can.
Speaker BI like starting Joe Burrow.
Speaker BOf course you're starting Jalen hurts.
Speaker BSo both quarterbacks are in play.
Speaker BCause the Cincinnati defense isn't so scary either.
Speaker BYou're not ever benching Zaquan Barkley.
Speaker BYou know, these are your.
Speaker BI know.
Speaker BAutomatic starts.
Speaker BAnd then I like A.J.
Speaker Bbrown, Jamar Chase.
Speaker BAgain, automatic starts.
Speaker BI'd sit the Bengals running backs Chase Brown and Zach Moss, they both struggled in week seven.
Speaker BAnd Zach Moss, I don't know if he's hurt, if he fumbled the ball one too many times, but I just don't like their running game.
Speaker BIn this game.
Speaker BChase Brown's mostly taken over.
Speaker BSo if you're going to start one of them, it's going to be Chase Brown.
Speaker BIt's not going to be Zach Moss.
Speaker BBut if you have the option, I would sit both of these running backs.
Speaker AWhat about tight ends?
Speaker AThis is.
Speaker APhiladelphia has been one where we've kind of picked up a tight end or two.
Speaker AShould I be starting Dallas Goddard or maybe Grant Calcaterra if I picked him off.
Speaker APicked him up off waiver wire.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo it looks like Dallas Goddard, I think, is going to miss another week.
Speaker BHe's not practicing and he's got that dreaded hamstring injury which lingers and lingers and lingers.
Speaker BSo Grant Calcaterra is playable in this situation for sure.
Speaker BI think both of these sides are going to go back and forth and not have a lot of defense.
Speaker BHopefully they just don't stumble on themselves, which we see too many times.
Speaker BSo, yeah, he had a bad week.
Speaker BCalcutero had a bad week last weekend, but they didn't need him either.
Speaker BYou know, Saquon Barkley ran for 175 yards and they didn't need to do anything except give the ball to Barkley and let him run.
Speaker BSo I think he's playable.
Speaker AArizona at Miami is next up with 46 and a half over under.
Speaker AThey're saying this is going to be high scoring then.
Speaker ADo you see that happening?
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI like this game.
Speaker BOn paper, I like this game.
Speaker BYou know, the Dolphins are getting two A back.
Speaker BWe're all going to be all excited, especially if he doesn't get hurt in his first game back.
Speaker BWe're all going to be holding our breath though, watching this game.
Speaker BThe Dolphins just looked really, really bad last week against the Colts.
Speaker BThey looked almost like they didn't want to win that game.
Speaker BJalen Waddle and Tyreek Hill had four total targets, two each.
Speaker BThey each had a catch.
Speaker BHow are you not even trying to get the ball in their hands?
Speaker BAnd why are you telling me that Tua magically coming back is going to fix all of this?
Speaker BAnd so I have concerns there.
Speaker BThe matchup doesn't get really any better.
Speaker BThe Dolphins are at home and they're going against a soft Arizona Cardinals.
Speaker BSo I like that.
Speaker BBut I feel like we've got that Pacific team coming to the east coast team coming back here a little bit.
Speaker BAnd we know that when we've got that Pacific team going to the east that it's about 65% of the time they're winning and covering their spread.
Speaker BBut I think if they're covering the spread, then maybe it is a competitive game and maybe they are going to hit that over as well.
Speaker BSo you're going to start the players in these games, at least on the Cardinals side.
Speaker BSo Kyler Murray, James Connor, Marvin Harrison Jr.
Speaker BThose are all in play.
Speaker BYou're starting them.
Speaker BTrey McBride, their tight end as well.
Speaker BAnd then we have the big question on the Dolphins side.
Speaker BAre we going to buy in on it this week?
Speaker BI'm not starting Tua.
Speaker BI would let Tua sit there for a week and see how this is going to go Especially based on how bad it's been the last few weeks.
Speaker BAnd then the bigger question comes in with the Dolphins running game.
Speaker BAre you going to start Devin Achan or Raheem Mostert in this game?
Speaker BAnd that's a big mystery for me.
Speaker BI have Achan and I can't decide right now if I'm going to start him.
Speaker BI probably will if you can sit on Tyreek Hill or Jalen Waddle.
Speaker BI'm probably not going there until Tua gets a good game under his belt.
Speaker AWhat would make you not start Achan on Sunday?
Speaker BI had somebody better to play and that may be in my case.
Speaker BI have Jordan Mason as well.
Speaker BSo if I'm sitting there with Jordan Mason or Devon Achan, I'm if Mason plays and that's a big if right now, then I'm probably playing Mason over Achan.
Speaker AMakes sense.
Speaker BYou have any of these players?
Speaker AI think I have Marvin Harrison by okay.
Speaker AI've been cycling, cycling him in and out because I have some other options that I've liked more.
Speaker AThis week's going to be a little interesting with with DK out.
Speaker ASo I got to figure out who is.
Speaker AWho are my starting wide receivers this week, which does segue as well into our next game of Buffalo at Seattle where I have both Keon Coleman and I have DK on my bench now.
Speaker BSo DK is interesting.
Speaker BI thought for sure with his sprained MCL he was going to be out and now the coach is saying we're just going to sit him for a few days and decide on Friday how he's going to feel.
Speaker BI feel like the line in this game, it's in Seattle and Buffalo is favored by three.
Speaker BSo if I give them their home team points that you usually get your 2 to 3.
Speaker BNow this is a 5.5 to 6 point spread.
Speaker BSo I feel like Vegas has already decided that DK Metcalf isn't playing because if Metcalf is in this game and they're playing in Seattle, I don't see the line being Buffalo by three.
Speaker BI think this is a much more competitive game, but they are putting it at 46 and a half points.
Speaker BSo that's kind of telling us another, you know, that they do expect some scoring in this and maybe the Seahawks can be just fine without DK Metcalf, but they're not going to win it, which I never like betting against the Seahawks in Seattle, but this might be the game to do it.
Speaker BWe'll see.
Speaker BNow we've got the east coast team going to The west coast, and that's just 50, 50.
Speaker BIt doesn't get the same kind of odds that we see on the Pacific to East Coast.
Speaker BIf you've got them, you're starting Josh Allen.
Speaker BKenneth Walker is third.
Speaker BJames Cook.
Speaker BJames Cook is a must start.
Speaker BThe Seahawks defense is also really, really beat up.
Speaker BSo Seattle or Buffalo could have a very, very good day in Seattle.
Speaker BI'm a little worried about Kenneth Walker making his numbers just because if this is a Bill's blowout, will they be passing more with Geno Smith?
Speaker BAnd then do we give a bump up to Jackson Smith, Najigba and Noah Fan in this lineup as well?
Speaker BSo if I.
Speaker BIf Metcalf is out, then JSN is almost a must start in this game.
Speaker BI even like Bobo.
Speaker BIf you're, like, getting all crazy or if you catch us on dfs, Bobo's comes in to be a what the heck play to see what can happen because the Bills can let some points get scored as well.
Speaker AThat's exciting to hear that this is.
Speaker AThis is a DFS possible game and that Bobo might even be an option there.
Speaker AProbably an inexpensive option.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AWhat about.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BAs well.
Speaker ALockett.
Speaker BI forgot him.
Speaker BI think he could start this week.
Speaker ADefinitely.
Speaker AUm, especially they've.
Speaker AThey've been doing a good rotation.
Speaker ALockett tends to get a lot of the shorter passes, it seems, but they.
Speaker AEspecially if DK is not starting.
Speaker AI would say Lockett is a start.
Speaker BYeah, I think so, too.
Speaker AWhat about.
Speaker BAnd then we have.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BThe mystery of the Bills wide receivers.
Speaker BSo Amari Cooper came in.
Speaker BKeon Coleman was suddenly open and could catch the ball.
Speaker BSo he looked good.
Speaker BDo we count on that happening again?
Speaker BAnd Cleel Shakir isn't doing nearly as much as we thought he was going to do this year, but is he just kind of lurking?
Speaker BAnd then we have Dalton Kincaid, their tight end as well.
Speaker BEileen on starting Dalton Kincaid, he's not.
Speaker BHe's an important.
Speaker BHe's.
Speaker BHe's an important part of their offense, and I feel like he's playable.
Speaker BThen when you get to the three wide receivers, it's kind of, you know, back to the Green Bay mystery.
Speaker BWhich one's going to do it this week?
Speaker BAnd can we count on Keon Coleman two weeks in a row?
Speaker AOr maybe it's Amari Cooper's week now that he's learning more of the routes.
Speaker BAs long as.
Speaker BYeah, that Coleman's not like, nudging him over and going, hey, just go straight down the field and you'll catch a touchdown.
Speaker BTrust Me.
Speaker BThat was a great play though.
Speaker AYou're playing that way, dude.
Speaker BJust go down there and catch the ball.
Speaker BAnd that's what he did.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker AUp next, Dallas at San Francisco.
Speaker ASan Francisco's favored by 4.
Speaker AHow is this game going to go?
Speaker ASan Francisco is really hurting.
Speaker ADallas has like thrown out this season.
Speaker AI'm guessing.
Speaker BSome of these lines really confuse me and this one would be one of them.
Speaker BI know that the Cowboys have looked really bad, but they're coming off their by, so hopefully they've, you know, figured a few things out so they don't look as bad.
Speaker BAnd the 49ers are just decimated with injuries.
Speaker BSo we saw Brandon Iuk last, last weekend go to ir, so he's out for the season.
Speaker BThen Debo Samuel, you know, has pneumonia.
Speaker BHe played four snaps last week and was like, yeah, I'm going to the locker room and then went to the hospital.
Speaker BSo my confidence in Deebo being able to recover in just a week.
Speaker BI know he's young, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Deebo being there either.
Speaker BThen George Kittle has a foot injury now, so he's on the questionable list.
Speaker BYou can add Jordan Mason to that list as well.
Speaker BHe's not practicing either with an ankle injury.
Speaker BAnd Juwan Jennings, well, didn't play last week.
Speaker BHe has a hip injury.
Speaker BChris Conley, also one of their wide receivers, has an ankle injury.
Speaker BSo this is a really, really beat up team that they expect to play extremely well against a healthy Cowboys team.
Speaker AI don't get it.
Speaker BI know that the Cowboys don't have a running game and the 49ers defense is fairly good, but this still has me, you know, scratching my head a little bit and we'll see how much the injury.
Speaker BWho ends up playing for the 49ers, I think George Kettle end up playing and Jordan Mason.
Speaker BBut if Mason doesn't play, I feel like Mason's a must start.
Speaker BWe've seen teams run all over the Cowboys, but if Mason doesn't play, then Isaac Garendo, he's a must start as well.
Speaker BEither one of those are players that you've got to get into your lineups.
Speaker BThe Dallas defense hasn't been, like I said, particularly good and I like Ricky Pearsall too, to step up for the 49ers.
Speaker BWe're going to see if this rookie can just jump right in and start catching some touchdown passes for them.
Speaker BOf course you're starting Dak Prescott, CD Lamb and Jason Jake Ferguson.
Speaker BIf they can run on the 49ers or not.
Speaker BI like their tight end, though.
Speaker AYeah, I think with Jake Ferguson, you're.
Speaker AYou're kind of stuck back in that tight end issue where there's not that many good tight ends this year, so might be.
Speaker AIf that's the one, then you're starting that tie in them.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAtlanta at Tampa Bay.
Speaker AAtlanta's favored.
Speaker AI think it makes some sense that Atlanta is favored.
Speaker AMaybe that was reflection on the fact that Tampa Bay lost Godwin and Evans this week.
Speaker BYeah, Godwin is gone for the year, Evans till week 11.
Speaker BAnd I probably don't get to make the call anymore on Falcons players since I didn't really like that game last week.
Speaker BBut Bijan Robinson looks really great.
Speaker BHe's had two great games in a row.
Speaker BSo you're starting B.
Speaker BJohn.
Speaker BThere's no way you're not starting him.
Speaker BI'm starting Kirk Cousins, too.
Speaker BI like Kirk Cousins against this Tampa Bay defense that hasn't been able to stop a lot.
Speaker BTherefore, we're taking in Drake London.
Speaker BWe're starting him.
Speaker BWe're starting Kyle Pitts.
Speaker BWe're taking our whole chance on the Falcons offense and Daryl Mooney, too, which I hope this doesn't come back to get me, but we'll see.
Speaker BOn the other side for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bucky Irving didn't practice with a toe injury, so that one's got me a little bit concerned.
Speaker BThat was a did not practice on Thursday.
Speaker BThat already came out, so I want to watch that because if he doesn't start, I know Rashad White's looking to start, but if Bucky Irving doesn't start, I liked Sean Tucker running against when he had that big game against the New Orleans Saints a few weeks ago.
Speaker BSo I'm really curious what he can do.
Speaker BAnd he's definitely worth, I think, taking a chance on in this game where they're going to have to lean on people that just know their offense and.
Speaker BAnd players that have been there a little bit.
Speaker BAnd I'm starting Baker Mayfield.
Speaker BYou know, they're going to be letting Baker throw that ball.
Speaker BRashad White's going to probably pick up some of those passes.
Speaker BSo you're definitely starting him.
Speaker BAnd then Kate Otten.
Speaker BKate Otten's a must start.
Speaker BHe may be our top tight end this week because of all of the other injuries, and we're not really sure who the wide receivers are going to be or how they're.
Speaker BWhat kind of chemistry they're going to have with Baker Mayfield.
Speaker ADo you like the Atlanta defense this week.
Speaker AI don't with all the injuries that have happened to Tampa Bay.
Speaker BNo.
Speaker BI still don't like the Falcons defense anymore.
Speaker BSorry.
Speaker ANo worries.
Speaker AMostly thinking about streaming defenses or picking up defenses.
Speaker BThere are better options which may be.
Speaker AIn the next one of India.
Speaker AHouston.
Speaker BNah, not this one.
Speaker BDon't play either of these defenses.
Speaker BWe should see the return of Jonathan Taylor to the Colts this week and the Colts need him.
Speaker BAnthony Richardson has looked really, really bad.
Speaker BBut the most fantasy points that Houston has given up all year was Week one and that was to Anthony Richardson when he had a healthy Jonathan Taylor and he was healthy as well.
Speaker BSo will we see a repeat of week one in in Houston this week?
Speaker BI like this game to do that and it'll be interesting.
Speaker BI know they've both still got some issues with injuries, particularly Houston, but I feel like this is the game that where Richardson has a great game and I never say that.
Speaker BI'm a Colts fan and I don't like watching Anthony Richardson play and I'm usually really down on him.
Speaker BI hope both of these two games just like don't come back to get me because I never go for the Falcons and I never go for the Colts and this week I'm like, yeah, Falcons are going to have a great game and the Colts are going to have a great game and you should be starting Anthony Richardson, Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker BIt gets kind of iffy though on the Colts wide receivers because I don't know if it's going to be Michael Pittman if we're going to see Alec Pierce or Josh down.
Speaker BSo I stay away from that mysterious three tiered wide receiver pool on the Houston side.
Speaker AYou kind of have to start Stroud.
Speaker AI mean there is no kind of similar to what we've discussed with.
Speaker AYou have those top tier options.
Speaker AYou're just going to start them no matter what.
Speaker BC.J.
Speaker Bstroud, Joe Mixon.
Speaker BI love Joe Mixon in this game.
Speaker BStefan Diggs, Tank Dell, Dalton, Schultz, all starting all of them.
Speaker ASo Tennessee at Detroit.
Speaker AI feel like Detroit's just going to run all over and score Most of the 45 points for this over under.
Speaker BI think so.
Speaker BAnd they're favored by 11 points.
Speaker BI don't think we've seen a point spread that big maybe all season.
Speaker BThis is like watching a varsity and a JV team play.
Speaker BIt's going to be ugly.
Speaker BThe only Titan player you could potentially start is Tony Pollard and that's only if you're desperate at running back.
Speaker BOtherwise, just stay away from the entire Titans side of the ball it gets a little crazy on the Detroit side because are they going to have to do anything?
Speaker BAre they just going to run Jamar Gibbs and David Montgomery all over the Titans?
Speaker BThe Titans defense hasn't been, I guess it's not been good, but it hasn't been awful.
Speaker BIt's not winning them any games, that's for sure.
Speaker BBut their offense isn't helping them out anyway.
Speaker BBut then it comes into question.
Speaker BYou know, Amon Ra St.
Speaker BBrown, you gave up a first or second round pick for him.
Speaker BYou want to, you need to start your, your top picks.
Speaker BAnd I don't know that he's going to have to do much in this game.
Speaker BI'm still going to have to start him.
Speaker BI have him.
Speaker BI'm starting Amon Ra and crossing my fingers that they decide to test out a few plays and just kind of practice against the Titans and Sam Laporta, their tight end, is the same situation.
Speaker BThe only thing that helps the Lions is the suspension of Jameson Williams, one of their wide receivers.
Speaker BAnd he was suspended, I think on Monday for two games for violating the substance abuse policy.
Speaker BHe could appeal and play this weekend, but right now he hasn't appealed.
Speaker BSo if he's out, then I do like Amon Ra a little bit better and Sam Laporta a little bit better.
Speaker ADo you think that Detroit will kind of pull some of their top players if they, they start getting too far ahead?
Speaker AI know last week they had the really bad injury when they left and when they left Hutchinson in and they've kind of gotten criticized for that a bit.
Speaker BWe're seeing way too many of the star players get left in these good teams.
Speaker BAnd like Chris Godwin, what was he doing in there with 43 seconds left?
Speaker BThey technically could still win it, but at some point you just kind of need to protect your house and your players and go home and regroup for next week with everyone healthy and they had already lost Evan, so.
Speaker BBut you know, that's what we get to do is sit here and criticize what they did last week.
Speaker BGlad nobody does that to me.
Speaker BMaybe they do.
Speaker AYou do it to yourself.
Speaker AThat's how it works out.
Speaker AI think Baltimore, speaking of the game where Godwin was injured, Baltimore is going to be at Cleveland.
Speaker ABaltimore's favored.
Speaker AI think that's kind of a no brainer.
Speaker ARavens are rolling and we get to see Jamis Winston.
Speaker ASo Cleveland now has a new quarterback.
Speaker BYeah, Baltimore is favored by eight and a half.
Speaker BI think in my head I am, you know, hoping that the Jameis Winston is the Jameis Winston of the past that can just chuck the ball down the field and this gets kind of fun.
Speaker BI don't know if we're all just living in the past and we're not going to get that, but we're hoping that's what happens in this game and it stays somewhat competitive.
Speaker BVegas doesn't think it's going to stay any way sort of competitive at an 8 and a half point spread.
Speaker BSo we did see last week the return of Nick Chubb and he got to score a touchdown.
Speaker BThat was good to see.
Speaker BSo I do like that this game does set up to be pretty one one sided and we'll see if they even let Jameis Winston throw.
Speaker BThey haven't really shown that they want to throw the ball a lot and we're going to get to find out if they're going to be willing to take that risk with Jameis Winston, who I feel is a better quarterback than DeSean Watson was.
Speaker BYou know you're starting Lamar Jackson, you know you're starting Derrick Henry.
Speaker BWinston might be a good streaming option.
Speaker BIf you're in need of a quarterback.
Speaker BYou probably aren't with no one on by but he, he's possibly there.
Speaker BHe does like to throw interceptions so make sure you're not in a minus two league.
Speaker BAnd Cedric Tillman is startable, I feel like at wide receiver because last week he kind of showed with Jameis Winston that he is the one that, that they want to go to.
Speaker BAnd of course you're starting David Najoku.
Speaker ASo are you sitting Nick Chubb and Jerry Judy and Jerome Ford then?
Speaker BI'm sitting Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford for sure.
Speaker BThe Ravens are very difficult to run against so hopefully you have different options because this is not the game to start these two running backs and Jerry Judy just hasn't shown me that he's ready to step up and, and make the plays yet.
Speaker BSo hopefully you have better options than Jerry Judy as well.
Speaker BI like Tillman more than I like Jerry Judy in this game.
Speaker ASo let's move on to Chicago at Washington.
Speaker BYeah, the big question here, will Jaden Daniels play with his rib injury that they say is just a pain tolerance but you know that gets kind of old playing in, in pain.
Speaker BHe didn't practice on Thursday.
Speaker BMy guess is he won't practice and he'll be a game time decision.
Speaker BThe line I feel like here says again he isn't playing.
Speaker BThese lines seem to tell us a whole lot.
Speaker BChicago's favored by two and a half and it's in Washington, I have Jaden Daniels.
Speaker BI've got to make this decision too.
Speaker BAnd hopefully you've got another quarterback hanging out there.
Speaker BMake sure that you do have one because I don't know if he will play.
Speaker BAnd then I got caught last week where he went out mid game and after like four points and I almost lost because he went out during the.
Speaker AGame and luckily had Derrick Henry and won that that week.
Speaker BYeah, I had some backup powers there that helped out.
Speaker BBut if, if Jaden Daniels doesn't play Terry McLaurin, you almost can't play him.
Speaker BMarcus Mariota isn't a viable replacement for Jaden Daniels, especially against a Bears defense that is good.
Speaker BSo if there's no Jaden Daniels, then There's no Terry McLaurin going in as well.
Speaker BI do like the other side of the ball.
Speaker BSo Caleb Williams and DeAndre Swift, you're starting both of them for sure.
Speaker BThis is a great matchup for them.
Speaker BAnd then we get back into, you know, that wide receiver question again.
Speaker BIs it going to be Keenan Allen?
Speaker BIs it going to be Romo Dun?
Speaker BIs it going to be DJ Moore?
Speaker BAnd you just kind of have to guess.
Speaker BIt could be all three of them if this gets out of hand, especially if Jaden Daniels is in there.
Speaker BIf he's not, then I just like the running game on both sides here.
Speaker AWhat about Carolina at Denver?
Speaker AI feel like there's not too much here to start.
Speaker BMy gosh, these points spreads are getting crazy.
Speaker BSo we got another nine and a half point game and it's Carolina and Denver.
Speaker BBo Nix is favored by nine and a half points.
Speaker BHow bad is Carolina?
Speaker BBryce Young is back at the quarterbacks.
Speaker BSo Andy Dalton was in a car accident this week here in Charlotte and he sprained his thumb.
Speaker BDidn't have to go to the hospital.
Speaker BSprained his thumb.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BHe wasn't looking real good last week anyway.
Speaker BMaybe that was just an excuse to put Bryce Young back in.
Speaker BBut anyway, they got it.
Speaker BYou're not starting Bryce Young and now I kind of have to wonder if, if you can even start to by Hubbard because the Denver defense is good.
Speaker BThey've.
Speaker BThey're playing well.
Speaker BSo I don't like any side of the Carolina ball with Bryce Young in there.
Speaker BOn the Broncos side you could play Bo Nex it.
Speaker BIt's kind of crazy to say that, but he could run for three touchdowns on the Panthers.
Speaker BSo Bo Necks.
Speaker BIf you need a streaming quarterback, Bonex is probably it.
Speaker BAnd Devontae Williams is a must start as well against the Panthers.
Speaker AWhat about the Denver defense?
Speaker BYeah, Denver defense.
Speaker BInterceptions, definitely.
Speaker BThis is a defense you want.
Speaker AUp next, Kansas City at Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker AI think that some of these maybe don't start too many people from the Raiders.
Speaker AAnd now.
Speaker BYeah, you've got to go with Brock Bowers just off of his sheer volume that he gets.
Speaker BBut that's it.
Speaker BYou know, Garner Minshew is back in at quarterback, and I can't really say he's a downgrade.
Speaker BHe's just a different grade of quarterback that you don't want to start.
Speaker BAnd every time that Kansas City gets a new wide receiver, I get a little excited that maybe we're going to see like old Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker BAnd they got DeAndre Hopkins this week and I'm a little hesitant to speculate how long he can last because it seems like they come in and they get hurt within a week or two.
Speaker BThey're hurt just like juju Smith, Schuster.
Speaker BHe had a great game and then he got hurt.
Speaker BAnd I'm hesitant on DeAndre Hopkins.
Speaker BPlus, it's just his first week in there, so let's give him a game or two to figure things out.
Speaker BMahomes last week had 14 fantasy points and he hasn't topped 17 fantasy points this year.
Speaker BYou're going to start him probably because you have to.
Speaker BI would prefer not to if you have another option because we could just see Cream Hunt and if you have Cream Hunt, you're definitely starting Cream Hunt in this MA matchup and hopefully you've got just other options everywhere else because don't want to start anyone else.
Speaker BHow about you?
Speaker AI'm kind of in the same boat that I don't really.
Speaker AI didn't realize that Mahomes had only hadn't had more than 17 fantasy points this season, and I already wasn't looking too much at Kansas City.
Speaker AI do have to recover since kind of hoping DK Metcalf plays since one of my pickups from the waiver wire in the last couple of weeks had been juju and now juju's injured wide receiver.
Speaker AJuggling's getting a little difficult here.
Speaker BIt definitely is.
Speaker ASo what about the New York jets at New England Patriots?
Speaker ABecause we had talked about Drake May being a quarterback who was a waiver wire option.
Speaker AIs this a game I should play him in?
Speaker BI do like Drake May.
Speaker BI don't really love him in this game.
Speaker BSo the jets defense has been really good except for last weekend where they just let Russell Wilson, you know, have a day on them, which was really confusing.
Speaker BSo I'm assuming that the jets defense gets it back together and that Drake May isn't.
Speaker BThat isn't going to have a good day.
Speaker BBut if they let Russell Wilson do it, maybe Drake May can do it as well.
Speaker BI still like Drake May for sure.
Speaker BAnd he's been putting up good numbers, better than Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker BSo you gotta make that.
Speaker AMight be worth the risk.
Speaker BIt might be worth the risk.
Speaker BOn the jets side, Devonte Adams didn't pop in and save Aaron Rodgers, but we'll see if, you know, week two brings a little bit better play out of Devonte Adams, whose hamstring injury is gone.
Speaker BAnd then you definitely are starting Breeze hall the running game for the Jets.
Speaker BSo that is definitely a must.
Speaker BMust start on this.
Speaker BAnd then the jets defense, I would start as well.
Speaker BOn the Patriots side, Ramandre Stevenson didn't practice Wednesday with a foot injury and I know he's been battling injuries.
Speaker BWe'll have to wait and see till later in this week if he's going to start or not.
Speaker AAnd now we're kind of getting to the bottom of the Games 41, which is kind of surprising for this, this next game 41 over under New Orleans at the LA Chargers.
Speaker AI mean, is there.
Speaker AI don't feel like you can play too many people from New Orleans.
Speaker ANot even Kamara, really.
Speaker BNo, I.
Speaker BWe don't know who's going to be quarterback for New Orleans, so it could be Derek Carr, it could be Spencer Radler.
Speaker BWe don't know.
Speaker BThey've got injuries at wide receiver, so we don't know what's going on there.
Speaker BKind of, you know, steers everything towards the run game.
Speaker BAnd the Chargers defense looks real, so they're good.
Speaker BI don't really like the Chargers side that well either.
Speaker BThe only one I'm Starting here is J.K.
Speaker Bdobbins, who could just run all over the New Orleans Saints and have quite a day.
Speaker BI do like the Chargers defense as well, but that's it.
Speaker AAnd then our Monday night game is supposed to be our lowest scoring game of the week.
Speaker AMaybe they should have switched out the games.
Speaker ADidn't they do that like coming up in a couple of weeks where there's going to be a.
Speaker AA new Sunday night game and they moved the original one to a 4pm.
Speaker BGame they did that week nine?
Speaker BSo we get to watch the Colts in Minnesota for the Sunday night game, but they don't flex them into Monday night.
Speaker BAnd we got a real turd of a game here with the New York Giants at Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker BAnd Pittsburgh's favored by six and a half points.
Speaker BI guess they're going to go with Russell Wilson again.
Speaker BThis is just ugly.
Speaker BI don't even know how you get a six and a half point game and a 36 and a half point over under.
Speaker BBut they're basically telling you that the Giants aren't going to score, which I don't quite agree with.
Speaker BThe Steelers haven't shut down people that much.
Speaker BBut the only person you're starting here is Malik Neighbors again, just because of the volume he gets.
Speaker BDaniel Jones isn't anything special.
Speaker BThe running game's going to probably take a setback with the strong defenses in play here and everyone else is iffy and I don't like Russell Wilson.
Speaker BPlease don't play Russell Wilson and George Pickens.
Speaker BHe could be started, but with caution.
Speaker BWith caution.
Speaker BWith okay, I've got no one else to play and I'm going to play George Pickens.
Speaker AYeah, this last week's Giants game was hard to watch and I ended up moving on to another game cause it, it was.
Speaker AIt was difficult.
Speaker ANot quite what I expected from some of their previous weeks.
Speaker AI wasn't expecting it as bad as it ended up being.
Speaker AUm.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd I get to go to bed early both Sunday night and Monday night this week.
Speaker AYep.
Speaker AGet some extra rest, prepare for the next week.
Speaker ABut that's it.
Speaker AThat's all the games.
Speaker ASo I kind of have some idea of who I should be starting or maybe I should be running to the waiver wire and revisiting.
Speaker AIs there anyone that I could grab last minute?
