Hello, hello. my goodness. I am so enthused for today's episode as I'm really bringing you behind the scenes on the process that has supported me so much in my life and has already given me so much structure for this upcoming year. So it's a very simple five step process that I'm gonna guide you through today and just really bring you behind the scenes and showing you how you can have an intentional simple way.

of feeling like you have a structure and a focus and clarity for this next year in your life. And you can do this, honestly, if you're in December doing this for the new year, if you are someone who follows the astrological new year, if you're someone who does the new year on your birthday, whatever is your flow, this can just be an incredible structure and a process that supports you with setting yourself up for a very powerful year in whatever timeline that means for you.

And so why I feel so good coming into this episode is I have already set myself up and gone through this process myself in preparation for 2025. And I just feel such an exhale in my body through doing this process. I feel so clear on what I'm focusing on for this next year. I feel really excited because I feel like enthusiasm lives with the clarity. Enthusiasm lives with the simplicity.

Enthusiasm lives when we feel so free to know who we are and what we stand for and what we're going for. And so I really am excited to give this to you. And so like I shared, this is going to be a really powerful process. If you're someone who has a journal, who likes to like sit and write, highly recommend that. you're on a, if I'm on a walk with you, take me on the walk and maybe have your phone ready. So if you do desire to like take some notes on the journey to do so.

You can just do this your way. If you're someone who's driving and just really like let this sink in, let yourself be open, let yourself be curious while you're experiencing what I'm guiding through and then maybe listen again and come back and do it, you know, with the journal out in the future. But I really honor that this gets to be your sacred ritual of setting yourself up for having a really intentional year. And so I'll just share for myself.

So something that we're gonna go through during this process is you really clarifying your energy words. And I'll just say, when I think about my last year, how important this has been. So as I shared in the grieving expectations episode, if you haven't already listened to that episode, I highly recommend listening to it, especially if you were like me and felt like this past year really asked you to meet some deep parts of yourself, asked you to release a lot. It gave you some heaviness at times. I really recommend going through what I shared in that episode.

And when I think about what really held me and kept me centered through that year in so many ways, it was this structure. It was these energy words. So my energy words for 2024 were unapologetic, receive, and faith. I actually had three words, which usually I have about one to two given in the year. And I noticed last year, what was so interesting was when I went through my highest vision, which again, I'll also go through in our process today, I got shown faith.

as was important that faith was also an energy word of mine. And when I look back at this year, I realize beyond not only stepping into being in an unapologetic version of myself, not over explaining the way I used to, really opening myself up to receive on a deeper level and really be allowing more of life to be received through me. I realized how important faith was in ensuring that I could even actually be unapologetic and receive the way I was asked to this year.

And I would say for myself this past year, such a big, if there was a word, like a way I had to contextualize my 2024, it was foundations. Like everything about this year asked me to get really clear in building and refining the foundations of my entire life between how I relate to myself, any foundations in my marriage, any foundations in my community, any foundations in my business. know, was.

all about really getting honest and ensuring that I didn't have shaky ground in any areas of my life. In any area that had shaky ground, I was being shown the work and I was having to roll up my sleeves and get into it, you know? And so I really am grateful though, because I find that because I had those energy words throughout the year, I really kept coming back to them and trusting that no matter what was coming my way,

that all of it was shaping me to cultivate this embodiment of these three words within myself on a deeper level. And as I come to a close of this year, I realize how much that has been the case. So as we go through this process, I really want to support you with inviting yourself that even if you've already had some ideas of what this next year of your life wants to be, maybe just like let yourself be a a fresh canvas as we come into this today, because

Sometimes I find the biggest difficulty is sometimes we have ideas of what we should do or who we should be or what we think is expected or what we think will make us successful. And actually sometimes those things can create some of the biggest drainers in our life, exhausting, burnout type of experiences. And I really just wanna invite you to let your playful spirit be the guide today. Let yourself just set, and all this takes is just this intention as I start this episode.

to just allow yourself to maybe just be open to something that doesn't initially make sense, but just allowing your imagination to have a bit more of a place today. And that's just something I live and breathe is I am someone who loves, and you'll even see in my process that I'm gonna share with you, I'm someone who loves to merge both the magical and the practical.

I'm someone who loves to merge our left brain and our right brain. I love to honor that our creativity and our logical, practical selves get to live and coexist together. So you'll get to see here that if you really trust this process, I'm gonna really let the fullness of you have space here. And that doesn't have to be complicated. It actually is incredibly simple. So with that, I'll just give a bit of the structure, because I know for, if you're like me, you love a little bit of the structure, you like to know where we're headed, and I like to just give that to you so your brain can just go into like,

Okay, I know where we're going and then you can just, exhale in. So the first step we're gonna go through is reflecting on your past year. just, very simply, very simply, couple of key insights just to get that awareness of what foundation you did set yourself up for for this coming year. Then step two is I'm gonna give you a guided visualization just a few minutes into really tapping into the frequency of your higher self for this year. Like really what?

is that frequency you're being called into for this next year ahead and the embodiment you're being asked to show up in. Then step three is I'm going to support you in choosing your energy words for the year. Step four is that I'm going to support you with getting really clear about what are your intentions for the year and the milestones. So it's both the intention and the milestone that links that'll give you that key guide of what really matters for you to create this year. And then lastly, step five is a

then let's get clear on what are some of the rituals that are going to support you in your daily, weekly, monthly life to make all of this a reality for you. So there we go. So if you're one of those like me who likes to just kind of full feel for the structure, there is the structure. And yeah, I'm just going to bring us on into it. Okay, so with step one, let's reflect on your past year. And I love to just have four quick prompts and really let this just be simple.

Again, you can let this be simple and then if you over time desire to reflect deeper, I am always here for this. This gets to be your way. But there's four things I just like to do as a quick check-in on my past year. So the first one is celebrations. What are you celebrating from this past year? What are some of the milestones, goals, or commitments from this past year that you are celebrating? And this can be in any area of your life.

So when I think about for myself, I'm really celebrating the launch of this podcast. It's been a huge thing that's been on my heart for a long time. I'm really celebrating that. I'm really celebrating that I had a beautiful, nourishing, and very prosperous trip to visit my family, do a retreat in the United States this past year, to do my first retreat on the land of my home country. That was so sacred for me and all the people I spent quality time with during that trip. And just there was so much in that experience that I have so many memories of.

You know, really give yourself a moment to honor the vastness of your life. What are you celebrating? Then I want you to go to energizers. This is the second prompt within this. Then get clear. And even what you can do is if you have a journal, you can even put like four pillars or like four quadrants on your piece of paper and then, you know, do each of these four prompts within this reflection section that I'm bringing forward. So now it's energizers. So what moments, relationships?

and or rituals really elevated your energy this year. Like really tap in notice what energized you this year. Like for me, it became really clear multiple times this year I invested in my rejuvenation ritual, which is this retreat I go away to for a couple of days. And I can really see how much the way I prioritize that the way I invested in myself with that, both with my time, my energy, my money, my resources was essential in honoring my energy this year.

I also really connected with the fact that now bringing home a puppy, and I grew our family and brought home our delightful puppy this year. And he is such an energizer in my life. He is a key code. When I go through one of the key gene keys in an upcoming episode, you'll see for me, animals are such an essential foundation for me in terms of my health and vitality. And so having him around energizes me so deeply. So really take a moment to honor what have been your energizers this year.

And next, of course, on the contrary, the third part of this quadrant is drainers. What has been draining your energy this year? What do you notice created some energy leaks for you? I know for myself, something that became really clear was I I saw areas where I didn't have my organization to the level I desire to. And so I really needed to get in there and do some of that really boring, mundane work that I love to avoid.

to get in there, to declutter, to start organizing myself in a couple areas of my life. I really got honest about any relational dynamics that were draining my energy for a variety of different reasons and just getting to this awareness of how much I value depth and quality over quantity. And yeah, I'll even say another drainer I realized for myself was areas where I was hyper-prioritizing the revenue in my business and not allowing myself

to really honor and feel elevated by actually a lot of the other revenue I was calling in in different areas of my wealth portfolio. So really seeing how I was not getting to like experience and feel the richness of everything I was creating because I was only focusing on one area of my resourcing of myself and the life my husband and I are creating. So just really notice it can play out in so many different areas of your life and where are you not fully receiving your life, what you create, who you are.

and get honest about the things that are keeping you from feeling deeply aligned with life and your beautiful, energized body and being. And then the final piece of this in your quadrant would be lessons to really notice what have been your biggest insights, learnings, and lessons from this year.

So for me, a big learning that's come through over and over again is how simplicity is the key for me to feel free and deeply prosperous. And I found that the more I honor simplicity, the more I channel and create quality in everything I do and am in my life. So for me, this lesson has just been shown in every area of my life. And it's something that I'm really bringing forward into my next year.

So I really want to invite you, if you feel called, maybe pause this, even if you're walking, you're not even writing, just to take a moment, maybe take a few extra deep breaths, really be with this to notice if there's any other things that really want to be noticed, acknowledged, because what I find is, again, if you really reflect on this year, you have built, there's such key insights from this past year that can really give you that extra support as you step into this next year. Okay, and then when you feel ready, we're going to go into step two.

which now is just gonna be a couple minutes. And you know me, this is where my magical side comes in. As much as I can just say, all right, let's go straight into your energy words and let's go into your attendance for the year. What I really love is to invite again, the fullness of your being into the space. And I'm someone who deeply believes in the power of visualization. So again, if you're walking, if you're doing the dishes, if you're multitasking with me, honor doing this in your own unique way.

Keep your eyes open, keep yourself safe, do what you need to do. If you are in a space where you can close your eyes, I invite you to do so. But more than anything, what I really want to invite you is to breathe. And so I'm going to invite you, it's just a few minutes, but my intention is to tap you into really allowing your higher self to come into your body, into your awareness, into your being, and give you the clarity of what truly matters for this next year for you. So I'd love to invite you just to take a deep breath.

deepest breath you've taken so far today. And as you bring the breath up your spine to your heart space, just to take a moment to just really honor the breath of life that moves through you and with your exhale to just invite yourself to exhale off, surrender off, melt away anything that is not of highest service for you to carry, to move forward with, to walk with from this moment forward.

I'm gonna invite us to take one more deep breath in together. And as you inhale this time, I really wanna invite you to bring your awareness to your heart space, to your beautiful beating heart.

To all of the love that moves through you that knows that you are completely whole, you are so divine.

And with your exhale to really melt away anything that leaves you feeling unworthy, like you're not enough and that there's anything within you that needs to be fixed. Just really allow that to just exhale off any comparisons, anything that feels like it just needs to be, like released off your beautiful body and being.

And actually I am feeling called. I feel like one more breath is really important. And this time I really want to invite you to breathe in and give a moment to set the intention just to be open. To notice if there's any softness in your heart space you need to invite yourself into. And with your exhale, really invite yourself to release any shoulds, any expectations, and any ideas of who you're supposed to be and really open yourself up to the truth that lives in your heart now. And now I'm gonna invite you just to breathe in your own way, in your own cadence.

And I'm going to be giving a couple of prompts here. I'm going to be asking you to tap into your frequency. And as I do so, if you've never done a visualization with me before, to just really allow yourself to trust that this doesn't have to be linear, this doesn't all have to make sense, that there's no perfection here. There is simply an honoring, an opening, a willingness to just notice what comes through for you in this moment now. To trust, I'm going to give some variety of prompts. And with each prompt, you just notice what comes up for you.

and to trust it. I want you to imagine it's one year from today and you're living fully aligned with your intentions and your highest truth and vision. As you open your eyes on this gorgeous morning, how do you feel? What moves you? What do you feel in your body? What energy moves you to start your day?

What is exciting you? What are you enthused about? What gets you out of bed with such joy? like, I want you to imagine a brightness in your eyes, a feeling of like, like this awe, this excitement, this wonder.

that I want you to imagine enjoying your morning. What's the first thing you do in your morning to set the tone for your day? How do you begin your day? What brings you joy in the beginning of your day? What nourishes you? And just notice how you move in your morning, in your highest self. What is the way you carry yourself? What is the way you think? What is the way you speak? Like really give yourself a moment.

And then as you go through your day, I just want to invite you to imagine and to notice as your day unfolds, to imagine then stepping into doing your labor of love, your work, what you consider your purpose, your contribution, your service. What are you doing? What are you creating? What is exciting you about what you're creating?

And how does it feel to contribute from this aligned energy, from this aligned frequency?

I want you to imagine that you know you're going through your day and then imagine you really connect with someone meaningful in your life.

How does this interaction feel? How are you showing up in this relationship? How do you communicate? Again, how do you carry yourself? How do you feel seen? What is nourishing you? I want you to imagine that as we come towards the end of the day, you take really beautiful care of yourself. What does that mean to you? How do you nourish your body? How do you nourish your energetic spiritual being?

How do you honor your emotions?

And I want you to imagine that suddenly on your phone you receive a notification of something super exciting.

Something really exciting in your life has just come through. What is it? What's being shown to you that you're just so enthused about? Is it a text from someone in your life? Is it an exciting new business opportunity? Is it, maybe it's a picture of your kids doing something that really makes you smile deeply.

And then as we begin to wrap up this visualization, this moment here together, and as you hold this vision and connect with this identity, your highest self that moves you in this way, who are you being in this day? What energy and presence defines this version of you? What beliefs are guiding your actions?

What energy again is moving you and holding you and holding you centered through all that you've created? Maybe you even ask this part of yourself, what energy did I deeply tap into to really embody this frequency?

And then I'm just going to invite us to take a deep breath in really honoring this space, honoring what you've seen, trusting what you've been shown, trusting that even if nothing came through, just the willingness to be open to it is already giving you potentialities and clarity that's going to stream in and it's divine timing. And with your exhale to just really invite you to melt away, to soften, release anything that is not of highest service.

And then to bring your energy back to this present moment and to trust that this version of you that we tapped into already exists within you. And when you feel ready to feel free to maybe pause this, to write any journal, like to write in your journal, to write any notes on your phone. If you've been taking me on a walk, if you just have been driving and you just need a moment to just let yourself feel into, to notice anything that came through, to just really let this be your moment. And then when you feel ready, we're going to now go into step three.

So now that you've really taken a moment to tap into that frequency, tap into your imagination, into your highest self, into your embodiment, I now from this frequency, I'm gonna invite you to choose your energy words for the year. So what I love is these energy words get to be this context and this energetic structure that will carry you throughout the year. So your energy words share with you how you want to feel and show up for this year.

They act as in a lot of ways I see it as the North Star that guides your decisions, what you're prioritizing, your focus, and of course your energy. So some examples of energy words are ease, expansion, play, presence, courage, integrity, like really let this be your way. But again, I really want you to invite and notice what were the words and the energies that you felt in your highest self for this year.

what was really being shown. And again, if this is different than what you initially expected, like for myself, I have had this happen many times as I've gone through this process over the years where it's been different than I initially expected.

And so really take a moment to ask yourself what one to two, if you really need the three words, like I said, trust how many words are important for you this year and really let yourself hold it. Well, also making sure you're not trying to add like every word and every dynamic, because I know that can also be a tendency, but just choose one to three words that feel most alive for you as you step into this next season of your life. Honoring that this year is simply a season in the grand scope of your fullness of your life. So I'll share for myself.

The energy words that are guiding my 2025 that my highest self guided me into are artistry and devotion. And so when I look at this next year of my life, it's been so fascinating because these are, I'm really being called into honoring my creative side, into honoring my inner artist and to really double down on doing a lot less, but really focusing on what I am devoted to.

on a deep, deep, deep level.

And so really allow this to be something that excites you, that gives you this ooh. And I really want to invite you to feel these words in your body. That's for me the essential. Like when I feel into artistry and devotion for this year, it initially brought up a little bit of resistance. And this is why I name to be mindful of the delightful ego.

is because initially my body and being were like, how really Lex? Like you're gonna focus on artistry and devotion. Where's the practical piece? But the more I let these energy words guide me, the more when we do these last two steps in this process, you'll see how much they are incredibly practical. And so let the words be the words that are truly channeling through you.

And then when you have your energy words, like I said, you can have one really honor that if you actually bring it to one, I love it when my clients have one word because there's something about when you really have the one, it gets to be extra potent, but just really honor one to three words. Then I'm going to invite us to come into really setting your intention. So based on your word or words, based on what you just saw in your highest self, I'm going to invite you.

to set your intentions and some milestones for your year. Your intentions are gonna give you the direction that's gonna support you with knowing who you want to be and what you want to prioritize this year. They give you a sense of focus. And then your milestones are gonna be the actual guideposts that help you measurably track how you're doing progress-wise throughout the year. So I wanna prompt you, what are two to three core intentions

that will help you embody your energy words this year, that will help you embody what you experience in your highest self vision.

So here are some examples of my core intentions for this year. The first, to stand tall in my craft as a transformational speaker and podcast host.

Another one I have is to elevate and expand my financial stewardship by refining my investment strategies and growing our property portfolio. Right? Like that's really where I'm looking at diversifying and expanding wealth in different ways. Another example, to deepen my relationships by prioritizing quality time with my inner circle and nurturing meaningful new connections that bring me a lot of nourishing joy.

So can you feel, there's already a variety here. You can see what's going on in my leadership side. You can see what's happening in my wealth side. You can see what's happening in my relational intentions, but really list out two to three, if you wanna have a few more, but just at least for this podcast experience, like really nailing a few specific core intentions that will help you to truly embody your energy words this year.

And then as you nail your intention, now I'm going to invite you to come up with any core milestones that will be really helpful in supporting you with tracking the progress you're making on these intentions. So for example, milestone, a milestone that I have set up for standing tall as a transformational speaker and podcast host is to publish four solo podcast episodes.

and two guest interviews with incredible leaders by the end of quarter one. That's a milestone. So at the end of quarter one, I have this opportunity to look and go, did I show up for this? Yes. Yes, no. I have this milestone where it's not just, OK, I'm going to stand tall as a speaker. It's like I really am setting it up with what are going to be the ways I can measure that I'm really showing up and making it tangible, making it practical.

Okay, and then once you have your intentions and milestones nailed out, the final step, step five is to align with action what you've just set up as your intentions and milestones through ritual. So to really ritualize your life, which you know I'm all about. So what I love is rituals are how you can bring your energy words, your intentions and your milestones into your day to day life. They're the small acts

the small practices of devotion that align you with what truly matters with ensuring that this isn't all just talk that this is actually going to be brought into action. Now, when you look at your intentions, I love to invite you to get honest about what are some rituals that can really support each of those intentions. So as an example, if we look at my core intention to stand tall as a transformational speaker and podcast host, right, we can look at that milestone I just said and shared with you about publishing for solo episodes.

and two guest interviews by the end of Q1, right? It's all well and good to say that I'm gonna do that, but let's be honest, there's a lot of steps. There's a lot of work and lots that I need to think about and lots that I have to create to bring that milestone to life. And what I love is these rituals give it so I feel like I can break it down in a cadence that allows me to find joy and meaning in the process and not feel like I'm just on a to-do list of, my God, I gotta do all these things, which I don't like.

I don't do well with that. That's not what I'm here to live and breathe. I have been there, done that, the grunt work, the whole journey of just trying to feel like all I do is spend my time fixating on my to-do list. Like this really gets to ensure that when you ritualize everything, I feel like it brings so much more joy. So really get honest about what are some monthly rituals that can help support your core intentions.

weekly rituals, daily rituals. So let me just break it down as an example. So again, for this core intention, I have a stand tall as a transformational speaker and podcast host. My monthly ritual for that is to set up a time every month where I look at all of my podcast analytics. I look at the topics. I look at the overall feel of how things have been going. Any guests that I feel inspired to add to my list that I want to reach out to, to look into options for the future. You know, I really, I create a specific monthly ritual where that's where I really look at.

a lot of the overarching analytics, a lot of the overarching numbers and things like that. Then a weekly ritual that I have is my desire over time is to get to a place where I can do weekly episodes on this podcast. And I also want to do it in a way that feels in flow, that feels honest, that really honors my energy. So how I'm doing this is I, as you know, the cadence currently is bi-weekly and how I'm going to start building myself up for that is I'm starting to set up

a ritual every week where I'm recording a podcast episode every week. This will then allow me to build a log of episodes. So that way then I have that buffer space and over time just get into this cadence and rhythm of being able to do it once a week and really watch myself build myself and my ability to do that and to honor the work and to honor everything that goes into that. And so over time, not only will I meet this ability in myself to show up every week and record an episode, it's overarchingly going to support me.

with one of my Q4 goals, which is gonna be eventually to make this a weekly podcast, right? So it's like I set up a ritual to build myself to honor how I can better myself to officially create ultimately the long-term result I desire to create. Then my daily ritual is my morning writing ritual. So if you haven't had a chance to listen to episode number three on this podcast, I will share it in the show notes where I actually shared my simple morning ritual.

that I've been doing for years that really supports me creatively, that supports me with having clarity through my day and supports me with just living and breathing as a creative being versus feeling like, again, I'm just a victim to life and the circumstances of life. And so that ritual really supports me. I'll also put the morning ritual guide in the show notes. You can check this out and bring this into your life if it's in alignment for you. And so I do that daily. And so those are, as examples, a monthly, a weekly, a daily ritual.

that I commit to and I have on my calendar that's in my schedule that supports me with really ensuring that again, my core intention and my milestone are actually going to come to life. So here's your prompt, what daily, weekly or monthly rituals will support your energy words and core intentions this year? And take some time and notice if any resistance comes up with this, because I find we meet our resistance to commitment when we come to this part of the story.

But I kid you not, if there's anything you'll ever hear me say, I feel like freedom lives with commitment. The more you truly commit to what really matters in your life, that's where you feel the most free. Now that we finished this particular step, I just want to take a moment to invite you just to kind of reflect on the five different steps I've taken you through, just so you can see. want you to ensure that you really write down your paper on your phone, however you're doing this, if you're really just in deep reflection contemplating.

to really go through and to ensure you have these five key pieces to really honor your reflections of this past year. To then honor the step two, which was to really open yourself up to your highest vision and to take notice of what you felt, what you noticed, what you saw, what you experienced as you tapped into that frequency. To then honor the third step, which is to name your energy word or your energy words.

for this year and really make them big, really make them like feel embodied in yourself, get excited about them. Then to name your core intentions and the specific milestones that go with those intentions and really list them out. Notice, what are they, what are you really bringing forward? And one thing I'll notice and namely fast, that's a key note, is it's okay, I find, if you don't feel like sometimes you can figure out all of your milestones for Q3 and Q4.

I sometimes with a lot of this stuff love to focus on my Q1, Q2, and then I come back because I have a lot of structure, I continue to get excited to share with you over episodes that help me feel like I consistently check back in with this vision and this plan that I create for my year in many different ways. have many touch points throughout the year. And for me in particular, I tend to, like I have ideas of what Q3 and Q4 have. I have idea of travel plans. I have ideas of usually more so.

weddings and personal commitments, but I like to leave space to also allow myself to move with the year. So really notice if you're like that to just also not think there's anything wrong with that. And then lastly, the fifth step to honor your rituals, to get really honest about your rituals and ideally to schedule them, put them in your calendar. And I actually in two episodes will be sharing with you about my weekly ritual tracker, which is my favorite tool.

that really supports me with writing these rituals and holding them in deep reverence every week, feeling accountable to them, doing it with my husband. Like it's a whole process that I'm excited to share with you here shortly. And as we begin to close this episode, I love to celebrate you for actually doing this. I know how easy it can be when I ask you to come into intention, how there can be that initial resistance to really honor who you are and what you want. I think one of the hardest questions that most people

actually are walking with, but that I've noticed can actually trigger the most in different people is what do you want truly? What do you truly want? Can be so triggering to name your desires, to really own it. Yet you are sitting here with me, you are walking here with me, you are present here with me, and I really honor you for choosing to put presence over pressure and to really honor that you are stepping into more spaciousness rather than feeling like you have to constantly rush.

through your life. And so I'm really honoring you. I'm honoring the simple aligned steps that you will create, that you will be focused on this year, that will create incredible momentum in your life. And I look forward to what we'll be celebrating in the future because you chose to do this now.
