Chelsey Donn:

Hi

Trey Gerrald:

Well, hello, welcome to Review That.

Trey Gerrald:

Review the podcast dedicated to reviewing

Chelsey Donn:

reviews.

Chelsey Donn:

We're just like Siskel and Ebert only instead of reviewing cinematic, masterpieces, we

Trey Gerrald:

that's Chelsey Donn,

Chelsey Donn:

And that's Trey Gerrald.

Trey Gerrald:

and together we are.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't see you wearing green it's St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day, week.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm going to have to pinch you from New York all the way over to LA.

Chelsey Donn:

It's laundry day.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know what to say.

Chelsey Donn:

I guess all, all my green clothes are dirty.

Chelsey Donn:

You'll have to forgive me.

Trey Gerrald:

Have you ever heard of that?

Trey Gerrald:

The pinching on St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day?

Chelsey Donn:

No, I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm a Jew.

Chelsey Donn:

My, I got my cheeks pinched and stuff all the time by my grandmother.

Chelsey Donn:

Is it similar to that?

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

So this is like a thing, like if you don't wear green on St Patrick's

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

If that's like a Southern thing, I don't know where that came from.

Trey Gerrald:

But growing up, if you didn't wear green on St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day, you would get pinched.

Chelsey Donn:

By like strangers

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Anyone can paint.

Trey Gerrald:

This is completely new to you.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, I guess, you know what I was thinking, like when I was little, it was

Chelsey Donn:

Did you have the Shamrock shake growing up?

Trey Gerrald:

I've heard of it.

Trey Gerrald:

I've never had it.

Chelsey Donn:

I think basically a vanilla shake with green food coloring, but it was great.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe there was a little mint moment.

Chelsey Donn:

I can't remember.

Chelsey Donn:

And then, you know, obviously in college we would go to like an Irish pub.

Chelsey Donn:

So I think in accordance to the celebration I would participate, you know, so I

Trey Gerrald:

I do know the Jews have been oppressed by everyone, but have, has Ireland

Trey Gerrald:

Like I wonder if Jewish culture, you just don't really celebrate St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day as

Chelsey Donn:

Well, it is a Saint, right?

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's not particularly Jewish though.

Chelsey Donn:

I can't, I can't speak to the anti-Semitism of it all.

Chelsey Donn:

Unfortunately.

Chelsey Donn:

Anyway,

Trey Gerrald:

interesting time.

Chelsey Donn:

I know.

Chelsey Donn:

How was your week otherwise?

Trey Gerrald:

My birthday was last week, so I had a fantastic birthday.

Trey Gerrald:

It's very exciting to be in this new age.

Trey Gerrald:

I just feel so much more intelligent and I feel so much more lived livid.

Trey Gerrald:

Let know well li live at live ed life.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm very wise.

Trey Gerrald:

Now I'm giving out life consultations for people I'm so livid living in.

Chelsey Donn:

but not to be confused with livid as in mad.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I think there's a small level of limitedness.

Trey Gerrald:

That's always vibrating internally for me,

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, wow.

Chelsey Donn:

We'll work on

Trey Gerrald:

even live more live ad with an E I know the E S substitution is

Trey Gerrald:

rec I recognized,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

It is interesting how suddenly it's like your birthday and then you're like, I'm so much

Trey Gerrald:

just a day, one more day yesterday.

Chelsey Donn:

one more day.

Trey Gerrald:

But how was your how's your life?

Chelsey Donn:

Miley was good.

Chelsey Donn:

I had a friend visiting from out of town from New York who I hadn't seen, you know, since right.

Chelsey Donn:

Like immediately before the apocalypse.

Chelsey Donn:

So it was nice to see her.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

We, uh, splurged on a couple of nice dinners and I drove downtown, which I vowed

Trey Gerrald:

be doing that.

Chelsey Donn:

I know I'm going to be doing that very shortly.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

There are rare exceptions to my no downtown role, but very close friends

Trey Gerrald:

The

Chelsey Donn:

the exceptions.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

So my week was good and I feel like we've already discussed that there's livid newness within you.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey, do you have a complaint you want to Lodge?

Trey Gerrald:

I really, really need to

VOICEOVER:

Lodge A Complaint.

Trey Gerrald:

today because, uh, and this is going to get a little dark and heavy.

Trey Gerrald:

We usually, these are silly, but I recently listened to two separate podcasts.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, one was a multi-part series.

Trey Gerrald:

It was four episodes.

Trey Gerrald:

Each episode was about two and a half hours.

Trey Gerrald:

And then I listened to an individual while I'm thinking like, there's no need, like, I

Trey Gerrald:

Another one that was three hours long today.

Trey Gerrald:

I want to Lodge A Complaint about why have we not solved the JonBenet Ramsey?

Trey Gerrald:

I'm livid about this.

Trey Gerrald:

so clear that we aren't being told the full information and lightheartedness aside, it has

Trey Gerrald:

It within hours, became tabloid fodder.

Trey Gerrald:

And I don't understand why we haven't solved.

Trey Gerrald:

The Boulder police department on many instances have eliminated any sort of

Trey Gerrald:

And the family was very influential, very huge donors and the city town of Boulder.

Trey Gerrald:

So I think all fingers are pointing to very specific individuals

Trey Gerrald:

And I just think this was a little child.

Trey Gerrald:

Who is deserving of justice and every single day that this case is not solved.

Trey Gerrald:

It is a mockery to the justice system of the United States of America.

Trey Gerrald:

Now back to levity, like I don't think it will ever be solved I'm mad about it.

Trey Gerrald:

We need to solve the JonBenet Ramsey case.

Trey Gerrald:

Is there no justice?

Trey Gerrald:

Insane.

Trey Gerrald:

I know it's a little departure from our comedy podcast, but I'm mad about it.

Trey Gerrald:

I've also, I've also inundated myself with so much about it.

Trey Gerrald:

So that's why it's very ripe and fresh.

Chelsey Donn:

It's the front of the

Trey Gerrald:

But I do think that like JonBenet, Ramsey, just the name has a

Trey Gerrald:

And I think that that's inappropriate.

Trey Gerrald:

The case needs to be solved.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm lodging that complaint officially.

Trey Gerrald:

It's in the box.

Chelsey Donn:

Wow, loud and clear.

Chelsey Donn:

I hear you.

Chelsey Donn:

I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

I've I've also watched a documentary, the whole thing with the pineapple, all of that.

Chelsey Donn:

I've seen it all.

Chelsey Donn:

There's many theories.

Chelsey Donn:

I just think like in general, and again, we're not going to get too deep into this

Chelsey Donn:

JonBenet Ramsey's cases, very front and center, but there are so many cases

Chelsey Donn:

That be that we feel like there's no evidence out there that is just blatantly obvious.

Chelsey Donn:

And whether it be because of financial, social, racial influence, these cases are being sidelined.

Chelsey Donn:

This one has obviously been sidelined for a long time, but there are plenty of other

Chelsey Donn:

And maybe not given the proper.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, profiled and, and like judicial due diligence that it deserves.

Chelsey Donn:

So I think that's like a larger complaint I can definitely get behind is like, what is going

Trey Gerrald:

Fair

Chelsey Donn:

but that's a whole nother discussion.

Trey Gerrald:

of who now I want to ask you, I'm really hoping that you

Trey Gerrald:

Like what's your, what's your complaint

Chelsey Donn:

yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Mine is much lighter, I think.

Chelsey Donn:

But it's equally as anger invoking for me, it's really like, okay, listen, I'm going to say

Chelsey Donn:

Why don't you do your job?

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I like you kind of like a water thing.

Chelsey Donn:

For example, they never leave it on for long enough for me to do my full, happy birthday, get

Chelsey Donn:

I got to play a game with the saying like, oh, I'm a new hand.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, they never give me a paper towel.

Chelsey Donn:

That's long enough that I need, why is this supposed to be a convenience?

Chelsey Donn:

And it's such an incomplete.

Trey Gerrald:

I have a question for you.

Trey Gerrald:

Literally, this happened to me on Saturday.

Trey Gerrald:

I was thinking I was using one of those, um, automatic soap dispensers at a store.

Trey Gerrald:

And I always go back for a second.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

So then I actually was thinking, why do I, I don't know how much is in this one square.

Trey Gerrald:

Why do I always go back for a second automatic squirt of soap?

Trey Gerrald:

Do I think the first squirt is not sufficient because I do think that the water they're

Trey Gerrald:

So it's not enough water.

Trey Gerrald:

It's never enough paper towel.

Trey Gerrald:

I need, I need to put my hands under three times for paper towels and

Chelsey Donn:

I just wish that it would like stay off.

Chelsey Donn:

As long as my hands are under it.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, I don't need to be water.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, I just want to get the job done.

Chelsey Donn:

I just don't understand why you're stopping in the

Trey Gerrald:

Wait, that's a great point.

Trey Gerrald:

You know, like on water fountains, where they have the water bottle ones, those

Trey Gerrald:

Why does, why does sinks

Chelsey Donn:

clearly the technology

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

mean, even as soap could technically be like that, right?

Chelsey Donn:

Like if I'm going to leave my hand under here for as long as my hands under there, you give me the.

Trey Gerrald:

Wait, that's how those, that's how those hand dryers work.

Trey Gerrald:

So why don't the paper towel ones work that way?

Chelsey Donn:

exactly, exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

Like it.

Chelsey Donn:

Doesn't.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

It doesn't make any sense that we're like timing this all and then

Chelsey Donn:

The automatic ones are only a step up.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, those faucets that you have to like push the button and then it goes really fast.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's like, you got to like push the button, which may be dirty and I'm going to wash my hands

Chelsey Donn:

Like now I've got to get the elbow involved.

Chelsey Donn:

It's just come on.

Chelsey Donn:

Shark tank.

Trey Gerrald:

I also think the whole automated bathroom sink.

Trey Gerrald:

So the paper towel situation is always defeated.

Trey Gerrald:

And this once again, constantly, I go back to these the 1994, Alan degenerate, standup,

Chelsey Donn:

right, right,

Trey Gerrald:

need to, like, it needs to be the doorknob.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause I don't know that the person before me who touched the doorknob wash their hands.

Trey Gerrald:

So it's like instantly defeated anywhere.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

They have like pedal door openers where you can like kick.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Like we should also have

Trey Gerrald:

no, but that's such a good button in Europe.

Trey Gerrald:

That's what the plumbing systems like in order to get water, you didn't use your hands,

Trey Gerrald:

That happens.

Trey Gerrald:

all over Italy.

Trey Gerrald:

Why don't we do that in

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

That's a good point.

Chelsey Donn:

I wouldn't even need the automatic thing if I could just use my foot.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe that's ablest.

VOICEOVER:

Listener voicemail.

Trey Gerrald:

Chelsey surprise.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, my, I didn't even know we had a voicemail.

Chelsey Donn:

Seriously.

Chelsey Donn:

This is so exciting.

Trey Gerrald:

just added it to the script moments before,

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

How exciting.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's

Trey Gerrald:

I'm wondering if we need to subtitle our podcasts to, um, the world

Chelsey Donn:

Is Jay was back.

Trey Gerrald:

Different James, but another James who has contacted us before,

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, okay.

Trey Gerrald:

are there any less centers that aren't named?

Trey Gerrald:

James?

Trey Gerrald:

If you are listening, your name is not James.

Trey Gerrald:

Leave us a voicemail.

Trey Gerrald:

1-850-REVIEW-0.

Trey Gerrald:

And if you are one of the James that leaves us voicemails, leave us another one.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause we love you guys.

Trey Gerrald:

Here is another voicemail from a different James who has also left a voicemail.

Trey Gerrald:

James' voicemail listener James' voicemail, James

Chelsey Donn:

James, James, but not the James from the James that was before the James.

Chelsey Donn:

That

Trey Gerrald:

The other James James,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Got it.

VOICEOVER:

Hey Queens.

VOICEOVER:

it.

VOICEOVER:

is James calling from LA.

VOICEOVER:

This is my second time calling.

VOICEOVER:

And I have got to tell you about when a hundred flowers.

VOICEOVER:

I agree with all of the ones are views.

VOICEOVER:

I actually sent flowers to my mom once for mother's day.

VOICEOVER:

It's confirmed that it's going to be delivered on Saturday.

VOICEOVER:

Saturday comes.

VOICEOVER:

It's not delivered.

VOICEOVER:

I'm calling, I'm calling.

VOICEOVER:

When's it going to be delivered?

VOICEOVER:

Oh, it's going to be delivered on Sunday on actual mother's day.

VOICEOVER:

Don't worry.

VOICEOVER:

Don't worry.

VOICEOVER:

Mother's day comes mom or the flowers there?

VOICEOVER:

Nope, no flowers Monday.

VOICEOVER:

I didn't even give him a chance.

VOICEOVER:

I asked refund I'll never use 1-800-FLOWERS ever, ever again.

Trey Gerrald:

Wow.

Trey Gerrald:

That really flipped.

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope you're well, James that's, I mean, I'm glad to hear it.

Chelsey Donn:

Like we said, it's important for us to hear from you guys.

Chelsey Donn:

If you have differing or analogous experiences to our reviewers, it just helps

Chelsey Donn:

The truth.

Chelsey Donn:

So thank you, James, for letting us know, we'll take that in mind.

Chelsey Donn:

I did send you try flowers before that episode aired like James, I sort of wanted

Chelsey Donn:

I also wanted to see, like, will they be late?

Chelsey Donn:

What's going to happen.

Chelsey Donn:

It was around Valentine's day.

Chelsey Donn:

So I was like, this is a good test.

Trey Gerrald:

What was the experience for you as the sender?

Trey Gerrald:

Cause that's the receiver.

Trey Gerrald:

It was wonderful.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh good.

Chelsey Donn:

My experience is the center was pretty easy.

Chelsey Donn:

I had to select Friday and not actual Valentine's day because it was cheaper

Chelsey Donn:

So like half the price cheaper.

Chelsey Donn:

So I did that.

Chelsey Donn:

The only thing that I will say is I saw the photo that you posted of the flowers,

Chelsey Donn:

The biggest complaint.

Trey Gerrald:

It's funny, you point that out because literally

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, really?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh,

Trey Gerrald:

I think whatever is in those little packets, I actually

Trey Gerrald:

I never even mentioned this to you because I almost wanted to repost a

Trey Gerrald:

And also, I guess the water, you know, the flowers were without water for however long, the time

Trey Gerrald:

The water was crystal clear.

Trey Gerrald:

Like they looked entirely different the next

Chelsey Donn:

The next day.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

Where they, where they more colorful and vibrant.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, good.

Chelsey Donn:

Cause they were like so beautiful and vibrant in the photo and then you posted it.

Chelsey Donn:

And I was like, that's all like hideous.

Chelsey Donn:

It just seems like a totally different color palette than what was advertised.

Trey Gerrald:

noticed all of that myself.

Trey Gerrald:

I will say the I'm getting them earlier than Valentine's day was so much more fun.

Trey Gerrald:

So interesting because I often am sending things through one, a hundred flowers for specific

Trey Gerrald:

Cause it really was unexpected.

Trey Gerrald:

And I literally was like Davidson these to me cause we'd had an argument.

Trey Gerrald:

so, but now it was my work wife.

Chelsey Donn:

that's right.

Trey Gerrald:

I had one experience.

Trey Gerrald:

That's exactly what happened with James here, but it was going key west and the logo.

Trey Gerrald:

The address was a little complicated because it's in the middle of a block.

Trey Gerrald:

So, so I felt like it was that circumstance, not really one, a

Trey Gerrald:

No one was like taking care of me.

Trey Gerrald:

I had to be contacting to figure it out, which I feel like James ultimately was like, whatever.

Trey Gerrald:

But the most upsetting thing is you then have to reveal to the recipient.

Trey Gerrald:

Did they come?

Trey Gerrald:

That's the most upsetting part.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause then the surprise has gone

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Totally

Trey Gerrald:

cause they're not there.

Trey Gerrald:

So James, we appreciate you.

Trey Gerrald:

Thank you for being such a solid supporter.

Trey Gerrald:

Literally from before the podcast, premier James has been a supporter, appreciate you.

Chelsey Donn:

James, we love you.

Chelsey Donn:

Was James.

Chelsey Donn:

The one that told us about the dog

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

The flies.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

James, every time I see someone that hasn't picked up, I think of you.

Chelsey Donn:

That means anything.

Chelsey Donn:

Um, no, I love Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

And, and also everybody leave a live review.

Chelsey Donn:

That was so fun.

Chelsey Donn:

We love hearing your opinions.

Chelsey Donn:

As we said, 1-850-REVIEW-0.

Chelsey Donn:

And with that in mind, let's hear some more opinions.

Trey Gerrald:

I love it.

Trey Gerrald:

Let's do

Chelsey Donn:

Please as you know, we are your trustee, Review!

Chelsey Donn:

Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

We each bring in a review from the internet that we feel needs to be inspected.

Trey Gerrald:

read you a review.

Trey Gerrald:

We break it down to.

Trey Gerrald:

We rate the impact of that said Review!

Trey Gerrald:

on a scale from one to five crowns.

Trey Gerrald:

This is a very Regal process that we have coined called

VOICEOVER:

Assess That Kvetch!.

Chelsey Donn:

And you are up first today,RQ-T.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's hear it.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm up first.

Trey Gerrald:

Batter's up.

Trey Gerrald:

Is that a free batter

Chelsey Donn:

Take it away.

Chelsey Donn:

Clean.

VOICEOVER:

Review That Review.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

So today I picked a product that, um, I do personally have experience with.

Trey Gerrald:

Um, today I have a one star review from amazon.com for a sunless Tanner.

Trey Gerrald:

The specific one is the Alba Botanica...

Trey Gerrald:

is that Jessica Alba's company?

Chelsey Donn:

It sounds like it, but I don't want to claim that

Trey Gerrald:

Because it was all about

Chelsey Donn:

company or is that

Trey Gerrald:

oh, good point.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

And isn't that for babies?

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

This has nothing to do with Jessica Alba.

Trey Gerrald:

called Alba.

Trey Gerrald:

Botanica.

Chelsey Donn:

this has nothing to do with Jessica Alba at all.

Trey Gerrald:

That's going to be our title.

Trey Gerrald:

has nothing to do with just call, but, okay.

Trey Gerrald:

This is written by Kristin M And Kristin M's subject is actually pretty

Trey Gerrald:

It smells like caps urine.

Chelsey Donn:

um,

Trey Gerrald:

Stunk up everything washed bedding and stuffed animal, all upper case.

Trey Gerrald:

First

Chelsey Donn:

That's a lot for a title.

Trey Gerrald:

Kristen M really wants us to know.

Trey Gerrald:

And this is Kristen M's one star Amazon review for Alba Botanica, Sunless Tanner.

Trey Gerrald:

Warning.

Trey Gerrald:

I tried to return this product, but received a message that there are no refunds.

Trey Gerrald:

I didn't see that note when I bought it, but I just looked on the Amazon product page.

Trey Gerrald:

And I see the note now.

Trey Gerrald:

Bummer.

Trey Gerrald:

This product smells like a Hawaiian day, right out of the tube.

Trey Gerrald:

But within about 30 seconds of putting it on my leg, a putrid smell

Trey Gerrald:

My husband walked into the room and said, quote, caps, yuck.

Trey Gerrald:

What is that?

Trey Gerrald:

Smell?

Trey Gerrald:

It smells like urine quote.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, that's me.

Trey Gerrald:

Quote you pee.

Trey Gerrald:

No it's tanning cream.

Trey Gerrald:

It stinks, huh?

Trey Gerrald:

With a crunched up face quote, all caps.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

This urine smell got everywhere, even though I only put it on my legs.

Trey Gerrald:

I can't imagine the trouble I would have been in.

Trey Gerrald:

If I put it on my whole body or God forbid my face.

Trey Gerrald:

I mistakenly thought that the smell would go away overnight.

Trey Gerrald:

So I went to bed.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my goodness.

Trey Gerrald:

What an awful sleep.

Trey Gerrald:

We felt like we were sleeping in a urinal.

Trey Gerrald:

We toughed it out because I really wanted a beautiful tan parentheses.

Trey Gerrald:

My skin is alabaster.

Trey Gerrald:

What a mistake?

Trey Gerrald:

By the morning, the stench multiplied and it was on everything.

Trey Gerrald:

Screw the tan.

Trey Gerrald:

I stink.

Trey Gerrald:

I jumped into the shower and scrubbed my legs with a washcloth.

Trey Gerrald:

And so three times in a row and they still stunk.

Trey Gerrald:

I had to wash my sheets and blanket parentheses, even though they were fresh the night before.

Trey Gerrald:

And hand-wash my precious stuffed animal parentheses.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

I sleep with a stuffed animal quote, poor pinky.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm sorry, girl.

Trey Gerrald:

Even two weeks later, the faint smell of urine saturates my nostrils.

Trey Gerrald:

I get migraine attacks from smells.

Trey Gerrald:

So that sucks.

Trey Gerrald:

If you are sensitive to smell.

Trey Gerrald:

Taps do not buy this product.

Trey Gerrald:

I will say my legs looked tan, but who cares?

Trey Gerrald:

How nice your tan looks.

Trey Gerrald:

If everyone you encounter thinks you peed yourself.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

I would just never think.

Trey Gerrald:

Change my bedding and then put sunless Tanner on.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, Kristen lives their life, but like if I was going to be putting lotiony stuff on or

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, here's I guess the larger question within that is what is the

Chelsey Donn:

Because.

Chelsey Donn:

I've ever seen a sunless Tanner or anyone that uses some less Tanner, all of their

Chelsey Donn:

In fact, I won't call this person out, but when I was in college, I was an apprentice

Trey Gerrald:

Like Allison Janney.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes, but I went and was cleaning someone's room, who had a character

Chelsey Donn:

So he was wearing sunless Tanner all the time.

Chelsey Donn:

And I had to change the sheets every single night.

Chelsey Donn:

Because they were that gross.

Chelsey Donn:

And he like, he was like, if I'm gonna wear this sunless Tanner, I need

Chelsey Donn:

So I'm just curious, what is the expectation?

Chelsey Donn:

Cause I feel like it's a little bit of a, like playing in the devil's playground.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, my first thought about some of those Tanner, which I do have

Chelsey Donn:

you are alabaster

Trey Gerrald:

I am not even alabaster alabaster.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm see-through.

Trey Gerrald:

That's all

Chelsey Donn:

I know.

Trey Gerrald:

used to be called, I used to be called powder.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, no, I'm just kidding.

Trey Gerrald:

No, but like is my first thought is how brown your gets.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

gloves.

Trey Gerrald:

And I do know that like you, it does like come off cause you're

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's like, obviously some of it's going to come off.

Chelsey Donn:

That's not really the main point.

Chelsey Donn:

Obviously the main point of the

Chelsey Donn:

is the smell.

Chelsey Donn:

So I'm going to talk about the smell.

Chelsey Donn:

My first thought is that it sort of reminds me a little bit of the manic panic Review!

Chelsey Donn:

with the reaction from the husband.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm wondering a little bit about the power of suggestion.

Chelsey Donn:

And if know, Kristin M in fact would have thought that, that it smelled so bad from urine.

Chelsey Donn:

Had the husband not had such a large reaction.

Chelsey Donn:

It seems like to me, the process of this heightened reaction.

Chelsey Donn:

the domino really began when the husband identified the smell.

Chelsey Donn:

In fact, when Kristen originally talks about the dialogue that she had with her husband

Chelsey Donn:

Like what, like, what are you.

Chelsey Donn:

What are you talking about?

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

So obviously at that point, if we're to follow the narrative, as soon as the husband

Trey Gerrald:

I, I do think there's evidence for that.

Trey Gerrald:

My counterpoint is, does that matter?

Trey Gerrald:

Because if there is an old.

Trey Gerrald:

Either you pick up on it or someone else picks up on it.

Trey Gerrald:

It is bad, but I even think reverse wise, if it smells like a Hawaiian day, that's

Chelsey Donn:

I just think it's interesting that at the end of the day, you know,

Chelsey Donn:

You know how we discuss with Nair, like near has a terrible smell, but at the

Chelsey Donn:

So it's like this trade off exchange that we do where it's like, all right.

Chelsey Donn:

If I want to be lazy and just put cream on my body instead of shaving.

Chelsey Donn:

Then I need to deal with the smell, right?

Chelsey Donn:

So I wonder if like your average, you know, self tin or user, maybe their tolerance for the

Trey Gerrald:

That was like pod on two ways.

Trey Gerrald:

Wait,

Trey Gerrald:

you're really bringing a really great point up, which I wasn't sure if I

Trey Gerrald:

So I,

Trey Gerrald:

I looked up other reviews from Kristen M and Kristin really, really

Trey Gerrald:

Producing migraines and multiple reviews.

Trey Gerrald:

I, it seems like this might be something that is leading and Kristin's experience of life.

Chelsey Donn:

Sure.

Trey Gerrald:

So that also makes me wonder if,

Chelsey Donn:

If we trust her as like an average.

Trey Gerrald:

if that makes it a typical experience or if this is something that

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, I think that is interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

And I think that is something to consider because I do think that there are people

Chelsey Donn:

It sounds like Kristen and her

Trey Gerrald:

the husbands.

Chelsey Donn:

very, very sensitive.

Chelsey Donn:

And like, I, I do think the power of suggestion is playing in the exacerbate.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, come on, like we scrubbed our body forward.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, it just seems like a very dramatic, you know, does it say anywhere in the description,

Chelsey Donn:

Like anything that like implies that this product would be the one that I'm going to choose.

Chelsey Donn:

If I am a little bit sensitive to smells.

Trey Gerrald:

It doesn't say anything about smell, but it does say plant-based and cruelty-free

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

natural looking results.

Trey Gerrald:

Golden tanning without the sun.

Trey Gerrald:

It doesn't say anything about scent or odor.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Another thing that's interesting is I don't know, like what do you think

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah, that is interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like we don't really cover that a lot on the podcast, but that has a

Trey Gerrald:

Honestly, I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like this isn't Neutrogena.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know the, I don't know the line of all, but like, I don't know

Chelsey Donn:

a smaller mom and popper, smaller batch company, they can't afford to

Chelsey Donn:

And then I'm return,

Trey Gerrald:

also, this is a four ounce.

Chelsey Donn:

oh, get the heck out of here.

Trey Gerrald:

I know that's another part of it.

Trey Gerrald:

But to your last point, I do think Kristen's experience is valuable.

Trey Gerrald:

I feel like Kristen goes both extremes with truthful and shady.

Trey Gerrald:

I think Kristen delves into both pots of gold and truthful shitty, but ultimately, like, I

Trey Gerrald:

but.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't think that the return thing, I think it's good to know.

Trey Gerrald:

I think there's value that they're leading with like just heads up.

Trey Gerrald:

It's gonna, it smelled for me and you can't return it.

Trey Gerrald:

The spelling and grammar is pretty great.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, there's not really issues here.

Trey Gerrald:

I think.

Trey Gerrald:

B I don't, I, I'm not sure if it's typical.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't think that I have such a sensitivity to odor as Kristin does.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't really experience that, but you sort of mentioned that you get migrants.

Trey Gerrald:

So there's some, there's some value there.

Trey Gerrald:

The humor I love that we find out about pinky

Chelsey Donn:

he has.

Trey Gerrald:

you know, when the name they had to have, let's like, you know,

Chelsey Donn:

I LOL at the, my face E.

Trey Gerrald:

E.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah, I, you know, I think that there is a large impact for me here because I'm entertained by

Trey Gerrald:

I wanted to find other reviews.

Chelsey Donn:

right.

Trey Gerrald:

So I'm curious about the deal breaker.

Chelsey Donn:

I just feel like if I read this Review!

Chelsey Donn:

I might be like, okay, good to know what smells good to know what stains good to know.

Chelsey Donn:

Like I'm going to need to wash everything, whatever, but, and lives a great town.

Chelsey Donn:

So like, would that make me not want to buy the product?

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

And how much should that weigh in?

Chelsey Donn:

I'm not sure.

Trey Gerrald:

Well I've questioned as well.

Trey Gerrald:

Cause it does make me think.

Trey Gerrald:

I need to look and see if other people are struggling with the odor.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm also just really back to the original point about influence from the spouse,

Trey Gerrald:

So maybe they're at their threshold for tolerating things with Kristen.

Chelsey Donn:

Pinky was like, it really filled the.

Trey Gerrald:

you have pinky, we can't have.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, listen, I think that Kristen should be able to sleep with pinky

Chelsey Donn:

I think that that's okay.

Chelsey Donn:

I think it's nice that she, um, is opening up with vulnerability about

Chelsey Donn:

I don't have a problem with that.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

I think I'm ready to cry on Chris then.

Chelsey Donn:

Are you trying, is there anything we're not considering before the crowning that we

Trey Gerrald:

I don't think so.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

Let's get to the other side of this Rambo in crown out.

Trey Gerrald:

So Chelsey and I each have our own set of one to five crown cards and then an effort

Trey Gerrald:

We will simultaneously reveal our rating.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, I'm holding up three crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey is holding up four crowns for Kristin M.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm doing a three crowns cause it's a little above middle of the road for me.

Chelsey Donn:

There were no spelling errors, got a little bit of a chuckle out of it.

Chelsey Donn:

That's where most of the points are coming from.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know if this is a deal breaker and I'm a little weary of the whole power of

Chelsey Donn:

So with that sort of, trepidation with the authenticity, I decided to go with three crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

How about you?

Chelsey Donn:

Why four for Kristin?

Trey Gerrald:

Because ultimately I was charmed and I feel like it's a valid experience.

Trey Gerrald:

It makes me want to do a little more research, which makes me think that

Trey Gerrald:

and also that, like, it did work, you know, but it was stinky and.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, ultimately pointing out that there's no refund.

Trey Gerrald:

Like if, if Kristen didn't catch that and they were sort of suckered,

Trey Gerrald:

So that's why I said four.

Trey Gerrald:

I, I didn't give all five crowns because I'm not sure that everyone finds it to be so stinky.

Trey Gerrald:

So that's why I said four, because I think the impact is relatively high.

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, thanks, Kristin, em, for contributing to today's episode of Review That Review,

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Long pinky.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes,

Trey Gerrald:

All right, so let's take a quick break.

Trey Gerrald:

And when we get back, we can get into Chelsey's Review!

Chelsey Donn:

the army.

Trey Gerrald:

did you catch that?

Trey Gerrald:

Ida Tanner Review!

Trey Gerrald:

for our St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick.

Chelsey Donn:

What does that have to do to say?

Trey Gerrald:

Because Irish people are pale.

Chelsey Donn:

I, as you were our pale.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, well I hope that mine doesn't have a weird double entendre, but we'll get there shortly.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe.

VOICEOVER:

Hold your crown.

VOICEOVER:

We'll be right back.

Trey Gerrald:

I was trying to do that with an Irish accent anyway, Irish.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, Laurie it's game time.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

It's time to take a quick little speed.

Trey Gerrald:

Spin on the matter of go round.

Trey Gerrald:

Can you do it?

Chelsey Donn:

Not even close.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm not even going to embarrass

Trey Gerrald:

Are may pots of gold, met R

Chelsey Donn:

I can't, I sound pirate.

Chelsey Donn:

Everything just sounds like a buyer.

Chelsey Donn:

It, when I do it, heres the Dale.

Chelsey Donn:

' VOICEOVER: I don't feel like an icon.

Chelsey Donn:

Most of the days, I feel like 'I can't!' That's with an, A'..

Chelsey Donn:

Trey.

Chelsey Donn:

And I have each picked a rotten scathing, pithy One-Star-Zinger and with 30 seconds on

Trey Gerrald:

Just like queen Merrill, who does it all.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh.

Chelsey Donn:

Or the clock runs out.

Trey Gerrald:

That's good.

Chelsey Donn:

I tried.

Trey Gerrald:

right, Chelsey, what is your zinger for today?

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

So my zinger for today is actually a good reads.

Chelsey Donn:

One star review written by Chris about the Bible, and it says too much sex and violence for me.

Trey Gerrald:

That's really funny.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh.

Chelsey Donn:

man.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I'm at a strap.

Trey Gerrald:

You us.

Chelsey Donn:

Ooh, such a.

Chelsey Donn:

Chelsey Donn:

Well, let's do it.

Trey Gerrald:

Alright, here we go.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

VOICEOVER:

Trey Gerrald:

Hora

Chelsey Donn:

Chelsey Donn:

Oh wow.

Chelsey Donn:

we go.

Chelsey Donn:

we've just another accident.

Chelsey Donn:

Um, too much sex violence for me,

Trey Gerrald:

TLC reality show

Chelsey Donn:

sex and violence for me.

Trey Gerrald:

televangelist matches.

Trey Gerrald:

Show

Chelsey Donn:

Ooh, much sex and violence for me

Trey Gerrald:

lifetime

Chelsey Donn:

much sex and violence me.

Trey Gerrald:

drama, 4 6, 7.

Chelsey Donn:

God.

Chelsey Donn:

I like recovered from that.

Chelsey Donn:

Uh, accent debacle.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's hear your zinger.

Trey Gerrald:

job.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

So

Chelsey Donn:

Thank

Trey Gerrald:

I have a one star review from walmart.com for the Jemmy

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day leprechaun, G dash 4 8 0 0 0.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

Is that a super Calla?

VOICEOVER:

Supercalifragilistic.

Trey Gerrald:

I just think it's really funny.

Trey Gerrald:

The idea of like having an inflatable decoration in their front yard for St.

Trey Gerrald:

Patrick's day.

Chelsey Donn:

Some people are very into the wand decorations.

Chelsey Donn:

Look, when you say

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

So this was written by Velda

Chelsey Donn:

Ooh.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

right.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Hi.

Chelsey Donn:

Velda.

Trey Gerrald:

And velvets One-Star-Zinger is don't buy it, not happy at all.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay,

Chelsey Donn:

Just cutting straight to the point.

Chelsey Donn:

right.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's strap you in.

Chelsey Donn:

Is it wrong to say to a leper con's back like A'.

Chelsey Donn:

you're like piggybacking a leprechaun.

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like my ancestors.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

You're you're.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes, exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

Are you ready?

Trey Gerrald:

I am ready.

VOICEOVER:

Three, Two, One, GO!.

Chelsey Donn:

Soap opera,

Trey Gerrald:

So by it not happy at all.

Chelsey Donn:

pop star,

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah,

Chelsey Donn:

Southern

Trey Gerrald:

don't jump by it.

Trey Gerrald:

I, ain't not happy at all.

Chelsey Donn:

spy

Trey Gerrald:

Don't it.

Trey Gerrald:

Not happy all.

Chelsey Donn:

auctioneer.

Chelsey Donn:

My.

Chelsey Donn:

Shakespeare.

Trey Gerrald:

to buy.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm not happy at all.

Chelsey Donn:

love how your Shakespeare is always like some I don't.

Chelsey Donn:

I always think Italian production.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know what that is.

Chelsey Donn:

But I like it seven, seven.

Chelsey Donn:

We tied it's our lucky day.

Chelsey Donn:

We're both sweaters.

Trey Gerrald:

There's a magic potion in our hoop.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know what's going on.

Chelsey Donn:

that.

VOICEOVER:

Review that.

VOICEOVER:

Review.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, Khalida.

Trey Gerrald:

Oculi.

Trey Gerrald:

We are back from that rousing game break and it is now your turn Chelsey to take

Trey Gerrald:

Whereas your Review!

Trey Gerrald:

from Minnesota.

Trey Gerrald:

We don't know

Chelsey Donn:

Um, well, I don't know that my Review!

Chelsey Donn:

is on theme, but, um, my review today is of Alcatraz island in San Francisco.

Trey Gerrald:

I've been there.

Chelsey Donn:

I've been to Alcatraz island.

Chelsey Donn:

It is a Yelp review, one star from Linda J.

Trey Gerrald:

Not Linda.

Chelsey Donn:

The fly infestation on the ferries that go to and from the island daily,

Chelsey Donn:

The island is invaded by flies and now the ferries are also.

Chelsey Donn:

It's bad, like horse stable, bad times, 10.

Chelsey Donn:

It's not okay for the public to encounter such an infestation, especially without

Chelsey Donn:

Fires are attracted to decaying material, feces and garbage, and allowing them to invade an island

Chelsey Donn:

Swatting them away is disgusting.

Chelsey Donn:

Something needs to be done.

Chelsey Donn:

If this is going to continue to be a paying or, and landmark, it is not okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Regardless of any reason or any bird life, a priority needs to be made to come to some kind

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, my gosh.

Chelsey Donn:

There are flies in my hair.

Chelsey Donn:

On the benches on passengers jackets, flying around.

Chelsey Donn:

People were covering their food, swatting them away.

Chelsey Donn:

Thousands of flies.

Chelsey Donn:

It is a health hazard and needs to be addressed or one passengers in advance.

Chelsey Donn:

And the trip will not be pleasant until you get inside the jail.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know who maintains the park anymore, but they should be embarrassed that they

Chelsey Donn:

If they do, they're doing a really bad job, it was literally the grossest

Chelsey Donn:

And I'm like, Linda also included four photos of various, like I assume strangers,

Chelsey Donn:

So this is definitely.

Trey Gerrald:

you share them?

Trey Gerrald:

I want to say,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, for sure.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

So it is clear that they're not just being shady.

Chelsey Donn:

I did also, when I was looking through reviews, see this complaint and other people's

Trey Gerrald:

oh, really?

Chelsey Donn:

I also did see mention though, maybe I should have done a little bit of

Chelsey Donn:

Do you have any idea what that means?

Chelsey Donn:

Cause a few people were talking about

Trey Gerrald:

I have a, I have a lot to say about the

Chelsey Donn:

Oh really?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm so glad.

Chelsey Donn:

Cause I was, I was sort of forgetting.

Trey Gerrald:

It's really interesting that you brought this in today because

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, cool.

Chelsey Donn:

A great,

Trey Gerrald:

Because famously, there was the Birdman of Alcatraz who was like a prisoner who

Trey Gerrald:

And they like had millions of prayer.

Trey Gerrald:

It was like a whole

Chelsey Donn:

oh,

Trey Gerrald:

Alcatraz.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

There was even a movie, the Birdman of Alcatraz that was like an Oscar nominated film back

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

So like the bird situation is a big deal.

Chelsey Donn:

So, what is the bird situation present debt?

Chelsey Donn:

Like there's just like these birds are still around hoping the Birdman

Trey Gerrald:

I do think that the birds are, are part of the lore of, of Alcatraz that is accurate

Trey Gerrald:

We're going to look zoom in at these pictures of the flies.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

So

Chelsey Donn:

mean, that's a lot of fly.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm, I'm pointing out 1, 2, 3, 4, there's four on one woman's

Chelsey Donn:

Two,.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah,

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know the gender, I guess maybe there's one right there.

Trey Gerrald:

Or is that a button?

Trey Gerrald:

I don't see flies on the second photo.

Chelsey Donn:

I think it's just a show.

Chelsey Donn:

That one, I think is more just about like the expression of disgust,

Trey Gerrald:

Or the sun in their

Chelsey Donn:

like, and also just trying to like, I don't know, shade myself.

Trey Gerrald:

there's like six on the, this person's back.

Trey Gerrald:

And then it looks like there's one at the top.

Trey Gerrald:

Maybe you have this other, I mean, yes.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

too

Trey Gerrald:

have it is, it is gross.

Trey Gerrald:

I do think it's valuable to be aware.

Trey Gerrald:

There's a fly issue.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

This is written in 2017.

Trey Gerrald:

I went to Alcatraz, I think in 2018 or 2019, I don't remember flies at all.

Chelsey Donn:

I'll interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

I was wondering, so this was written in September.

Chelsey Donn:

Do you remember what month you were there?

Trey Gerrald:

September it was

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Really interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

I went when I was in high school.

Chelsey Donn:

So that was a long time ago.

Chelsey Donn:

That was probably around 2004.

Chelsey Donn:

I don't remember flies, but.

Trey Gerrald:

This is really great.

Trey Gerrald:

Review!

Trey Gerrald:

because I am of several minds here.

Trey Gerrald:

I think that.

Trey Gerrald:

Linda has a great point because you go to Disney world Disneyland and they have sprayed and there's

Trey Gerrald:

So I recognize the point of like, if this is.

Trey Gerrald:

National park and rack.

Trey Gerrald:

There needs to be some sort of measure taken.

Trey Gerrald:

If people are having multiple, multiple flies landing on them, that's an issue.

Trey Gerrald:

I, I get that point.

Trey Gerrald:

I think the Karen aspect for me, it is like so much of the Alcatraz experience is getting on

Trey Gerrald:

And I think there might even be like, uh, videos and voiceover when.

Trey Gerrald:

But what's comical to me, the experience of being at Alcatraz was really upsetting to me.

Trey Gerrald:

it's like a peek into a very dark side of humanity.

Trey Gerrald:

What are human rights, the whole debate about rehabilitation versus punishment.

Trey Gerrald:

All of that is like very much present.

Chelsey Donn:

Did you go into the solitary confinement?

Trey Gerrald:

I did.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, me too.

Chelsey Donn:

I was scary.

Trey Gerrald:

It's and it's also like to recognize the amount of murder that had happened and

Trey Gerrald:

Like so much of it was like dark.

Trey Gerrald:

it stayed with me for awhile.

Trey Gerrald:

So it's kind of laughable to me that you are experiencing

Chelsey Donn:

You're complaining about the

Trey Gerrald:

talking about flying.

Chelsey Donn:

Sure.

Trey Gerrald:

But I, I also get the points.

Trey Gerrald:

Like we are visiting it as a landmark and we are paying and someone is taking that

Trey Gerrald:

So maybe take care of the flight situation.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't remember it being there.

Trey Gerrald:

So maybe, maybe because of Linda, maybe Alcatraz

Chelsey Donn:

you're right.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe they read Linda's Review!

Chelsey Donn:

and then they were like, we got to get a handle on this.

Chelsey Donn:

Linda's very upset.

Trey Gerrald:

and then I also thought it was interesting that they brought up the point twice.

Trey Gerrald:

About flies and hair and, and people's food covering people's food.

Trey Gerrald:

Both of those points are mentioned twice.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Uh, well, that's, that's my biggest complaint about the Review!

Chelsey Donn:

in general is like the lack of edit.

Chelsey Donn:

And again, like is the reiteration of the same point over and over again, more effective.

Chelsey Donn:

I venture not, I think that there is like a strong message in here that

Chelsey Donn:

Set our points and set our points with strength and dignity.

Chelsey Donn:

When you start repeating it over and over again, it just, it loses its impact.

Chelsey Donn:

And it does start to feel kind of Cairney cause it's like, okay, like kill your darlings.

Chelsey Donn:

But like, you know, pick the one that you want to go for that you feel

Chelsey Donn:

And I think your point would have landed a little bit better.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, I think I'm having an impact cause, cause it is making me

Trey Gerrald:

I don't so, but like, will I, like, I think that is, I think there's value here.

Chelsey Donn:

I think the value here for me is like, you don't want to bring somebody

Chelsey Donn:

It gets cold.

Chelsey Donn:

I remember being cold, even

Trey Gerrald:

do too.

Trey Gerrald:

was freezing.

Chelsey Donn:

freezing.

Chelsey Donn:

So like, one of those things where it's like, you got it.

Chelsey Donn:

Like you said you got to get through the ferry ride to get to the attraction.

Chelsey Donn:

So if you don't want to do that, or you're not someone that wants to do

Chelsey Donn:

I don't know how else you get over there if you're a VIP, but like you might not

Chelsey Donn:

Like you maybe will choose not to go.

Chelsey Donn:

So I think that I would want to warn older people or people that might be a little bit

Trey Gerrald:

Or fly phobic.

Chelsey Donn:

or fly phobic people that might be a little bit cringed,

Trey Gerrald:

It is interesting because I really feel split about this Review!

Trey Gerrald:

cause I get Linda's point.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah,

Trey Gerrald:

I'm also critical of Len doc, because that's what you're walking away with.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, the other thing that I'm wondering about is, so

Chelsey Donn:

So I guess that, that sort of expands it to the entire experience, which includes the ferry.

Chelsey Donn:

But what I'm really missing here from Linda is the experience of the prison.

Chelsey Donn:

Other than saying like, well, thank God I made it to jail because it's better than this ferry.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, which I don't know if that was an attempted to joke or not, but like, Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

I just wonder what the experience was there.

Chelsey Donn:

So that I, as the person reading the Review!

Chelsey Donn:

could maybe weigh my options.

Chelsey Donn:

Like What made the experience pleasant once you were there that maybe for

Chelsey Donn:

If I'm going to get this experience.

Trey Gerrald:

think that that's exactly that point that you're saying is exactly

Trey Gerrald:

It's valid.

Trey Gerrald:

The fair.

Trey Gerrald:

I think the ferry ride is like 20 minutes or something.

Trey Gerrald:

And then I remember queuing up was a really long time.

Trey Gerrald:

So I do think it's fair to say, like the fairy experience as part of.

Trey Gerrald:

But I do also again in the same breath, I feel like Linda was so,

Trey Gerrald:

They couldn't even like get past it and they were holding onto it and they were angry

Trey Gerrald:

And it's like, whoa, you know that like, that makes me Karen eight, but then

Chelsey Donn:

I just want to imagine care at Karen.

Chelsey Donn:

Hi there.

Chelsey Donn:

I did it.

Chelsey Donn:

I just want to imagine Linda on the ferry, like sneaking those pictures, you know, of

Chelsey Donn:

Let me get a picture of that.

Chelsey Donn:

You know?

Trey Gerrald:

There is an energy to me about this that's feeling like Linda was so

Trey Gerrald:

They really were wanting to prove how terrible it was.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, and they did.

Trey Gerrald:

a little, I don't know, the spelling, spelling a spine, right.

Chelsey Donn:

Good.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm conflicted.

Trey Gerrald:

I don't know how I think.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I

Chelsey Donn:

Are we going to dive in?

Chelsey Donn:

Should we like,

Trey Gerrald:

I think so.

Trey Gerrald:

What about you?

Chelsey Donn:

I think we can do it.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's do it.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

Chelsey Donn:

Three-and-a-half crowns three and a half crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

The Queens are unanimous.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey.

Chelsey Donn:

Why did you give Linda three and a half crowns?

Trey Gerrald:

I want to look at more Linda reviews.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm very intrigued by Linda, Linda, J who are you?

Trey Gerrald:

I'm very curious.

Trey Gerrald:

I see both sides of this, which is why I had to give right down the middle three

Trey Gerrald:

Is that I want to see more reviews.

Trey Gerrald:

I want to find out if the flight situation is, if this is shared by more

Trey Gerrald:

But since I have actually been to Alcatraz after the review was posted and I didn't experience it,

Trey Gerrald:

I just, I'm very conflicted.

Trey Gerrald:

I can't tell if they're a Karen.

Trey Gerrald:

I, I can't tell if they were victimized by the flies.

Trey Gerrald:

So they couldn't experience the event that they paid for.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm I'm conflicted.

Trey Gerrald:

It makes me want to do more research.

Trey Gerrald:

I want to call Alcatraz and see, Hey, do I need to be concerned about the fly situation?

Trey Gerrald:

So I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

I sit there and a half, cause I'm very confused.

Trey Gerrald:

This has never happened to me.

Trey Gerrald:

Why did you say.

Chelsey Donn:

I said three and a half.

Chelsey Donn:

I mean, I liked Linda's points.

Chelsey Donn:

I think she had photo evidence.

Chelsey Donn:

I always got to give a nod for the, for the photographic evidence.

Chelsey Donn:

So for that, you know, she definitely earned some of her crowns there, uh, where he took away.

Chelsey Donn:

The crowns was really for me, the redundancy of course, as I've mentioned and not to be redundant.

Chelsey Donn:

The lack of information of the actual Alcatraz tour itself.

Chelsey Donn:

Just a little more, if we had edited out some of the other stuff and added in just a pinch, more

Trey Gerrald:

That's fair.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Wow.

Trey Gerrald:

Fun.

Chelsey Donn:

That was fun.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

My queen, we have reached the most Regal portion of our show.

Chelsey Donn:

Who are you?

Chelsey Donn:

Trey inducting for?

VOICEOVER:

My Royal

VOICEOVER:

Highness!

Trey Gerrald:

All right today, I'm going to induct the production company World of

Trey Gerrald:

So, all right.

Trey Gerrald:

To be sort of concise here, World of Wonder is most recognizable and famous today for being the

Trey Gerrald:

All of the RuPaul's Drag Race spin-offs, which is like Drag Race UK, Drag Race

Trey Gerrald:

Drag Race Italia.

Trey Gerrald:

There's so many, it's become a huge franchise.

Trey Gerrald:

They also it's interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

Randy Barbado and Fenton Bailey are the two individuals that created World of Wonder.

Trey Gerrald:

And it was formally formed in 1991 as a production company, but that's when they

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, wow.

Trey Gerrald:

And that's when RuPaul had multiple albums, had a VH1 talk show in the nineties.

Trey Gerrald:

And it's really fascinating to me because it's an old, like Hollywood notion that

Trey Gerrald:

And that has segwayed into this multi Emmy winning international franchise.

Trey Gerrald:

The beginning of their career, they started producing a documentary.

Trey Gerrald:

So one of, and then they had scripted content.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, one of their first entries was party monster,

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

to Sundance.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

So they really like do a bunch of stuff.

Trey Gerrald:

They also now have drag cons, which are huge events, but I want to induct them

Trey Gerrald:

It's easy to criticize the commercialization of drag, but I do think that in order for

Trey Gerrald:

Out front and center and accepted and less polarizing, which in turn is like

Trey Gerrald:

And so much of my weekly, uh, entertainment consumption is World of Wonder content.

Trey Gerrald:

And, you know, they really help getting through life because they're creating

Trey Gerrald:

And I appreciate that diversity as producers that they can do, like heightened drama, you

Trey Gerrald:

Becoming Chaz their documentary stuff is really profound and not silly,

Trey Gerrald:

I want to induct World of Wonder they're truly changing the world.

Trey Gerrald:

And so I applaud you World of Wonder you are without a doubt, highly deserving

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

I know how much RuPaul's Drag Race means to you.

Chelsey Donn:

So I, I could feel the authenticity in that nomination or induction rather.

Trey Gerrald:

Can you imagine your client being RuPaul?

Trey Gerrald:

What a genius choice they made in the nineties to manage that entity and what become.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, how amazing.

Chelsey Donn:

Great love people that can, you know, identify talent just saying

Trey Gerrald:

And foster it in a way that like didn't exist.

Trey Gerrald:

There was no drag queen.

Trey Gerrald:

That was a recording artist.

Trey Gerrald:

Are you kidding me?

Trey Gerrald:

There's no drag queen.

Trey Gerrald:

That was the face of a makeup line.

Trey Gerrald:

She was the face of Mac cosmetics.

Trey Gerrald:

Are you kidding me?

Trey Gerrald:

A talk show.

Trey Gerrald:

Are you kidding me?

Trey Gerrald:

And now this reality show that's internet.

Trey Gerrald:

I mean, what a life RuPaul is, but congratulations, Randy and Fenton,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

What All right.

Chelsey Donn:

We did.
