Steve Palmer [00:00:00]:

Steve Palmer here from lawyertalkpodcast.com. And I'm I'm excited today because I'm gonna start a new series. And those who follow the the podcast know that I I have series, and I sort of break it down. I have a we have a DUI 360 series. We have a They Don't Teach You That in Law School series where we actually sit down with two law students and we talk about, their experience in law school and how it's what it's like in the real world and we break stuff down. I've got a Legal Breakdown and but today, I'm gonna start a new one called What's The Appeal?. Now What's The Appeal? You get it. There's a little pun here. So the idea of this series is to talk about, the appellate process beginning to end.

Steve Palmer [00:00:37]:

And it's people often call and they say, I wanna appeal or I wanna go to federal court or what do I do next? They have no idea. But most of us have some conceptual understanding of what the appellate process is. But when I when I explain it to folks, I realize that there's so many nuances to it, so many turns that it doesn't always make sense. So we're gonna use this series to break it down and explain each stage of the appellate process. And I'm gonna start probably with the next episode, to give a big picture sort of the umbrella of the whole thing, and then we're gonna zero in and and talk about the minutiae literally from day one. The jury just convicted you. The judge just sentenced you. What do I do now? So stay tuned.
