The cool thing about being in business and being a
Speaker:mum is actually showing my kids what I'm
Speaker:made of. Being a mother in business. As challenging
Speaker:as it is, it is so, so rewarding and it's empowering
Speaker:because you get to actually choose the
Speaker:path. I invested five years of my life into
Speaker:a business and now it's giving me back time that I'm using
Speaker:for my children. Welcome to Krystal Rowe
Speaker:Impacts, a space dedicated to empowering you
Speaker:to be the change that your bloodline has been waiting for. Join me
Speaker:and together, let's inspire change. Welcome back
Speaker:to the Krystal Rowe Impact podcast. And today I'm going
Speaker:to talk about the reality of being a mother, a
Speaker:woman in business and all the mum guilt that
Speaker:comes with it. It's so crazy when you
Speaker:think about how being a mum is such a full time
Speaker:job and also running a business is two
Speaker:jobs and then trying to juggle and blend both
Speaker:of them for a beautiful, harmonious lifestyle.
Speaker:As challenging as it is, it is so, so rewarding and
Speaker:it's empowering because you get to actually choose
Speaker:the path. You actually get to create whatever
Speaker:it looks like. But Along that journey,
Speaker:there are so many things that can come into play. There's
Speaker:so many things that you can set the standard for,
Speaker:you can actually do what works for you, and
Speaker:you can actually create a routine that
Speaker:serves not only yourself and your children, but
Speaker:also all of your relationships, your husband and
Speaker:your work life. Now it sounds like a lot to juggle,
Speaker:but the best thing about it is that you are in control. Now
Speaker:it has taken me quite a while,
Speaker:five years, Now, to actually find
Speaker:a way to balance it and balance
Speaker:my mum guilt, the shame of not doing
Speaker:all the things that I thought I should be doing and
Speaker:actually finding out what works and what
Speaker:doesn't work. One of the biggest things for me in business was
Speaker:to treat people how I wanted to be treated and to
Speaker:actually set the standards for what
Speaker:my business looked like and how people projected
Speaker:it and how I projected myself. in
Speaker:business. So for a very long time I
Speaker:shared that I was a single mum running
Speaker:my business and it almost gave me permission
Speaker:to have the struggle. Instead of actually
Speaker:owning it and setting a high standard and
Speaker:being an empowered mum and an empowered businesswoman, I
Speaker:actually chose to have the struggle dictate
Speaker:it until I realised that it
Speaker:could work better for me if I was in control. So
Speaker:the cool thing about being in business and being a
Speaker:mum is actually showing my kids what I'm
Speaker:made of. And it actually empowers them
Speaker:as well to make better choices as they are growing up.
Speaker:It actually expands their mind and it helps them to
Speaker:think about what they can achieve in life. And
Speaker:the kids get really excited when their friends come in and they're
Speaker:like, oh my gosh, my friend's here, mum. And I
Speaker:remember just the other day, one of my daughters asked me,
Speaker:are we always going to have the cafe? Are you always going to
Speaker:work here? And I thought to myself, oh my gosh, where's this
Speaker:sort of going? And then I turned around to her and I said, yeah,
Speaker:you can have it. And she just was so excited. that
Speaker:it was like, it actually made me excited again
Speaker:for the cafe. And it made me excited to
Speaker:know that I was actually installing happiness
Speaker:and excitement for business. And
Speaker:even though they don't understand the concept of business and the hard work
Speaker:behind the scenes, I actually got to see a
Speaker:glimpse of passion being ignited in
Speaker:my daughter to know that she had a chance to have
Speaker:her own place as well. And I guess for me,
Speaker:that's the reward of being in business. I
Speaker:want to touch back on the mum guilt thing,
Speaker:because sometimes it's not always as exciting and
Speaker:always butterflies and
Speaker:rainbows. Sometimes it's really, really hard. And
Speaker:sometimes for me, I know in the
Speaker:beginning, before I met my husband, I used
Speaker:to operate as a mum from a place of guilt.
Speaker:because I would be at the cafe all day
Speaker:and I would rush to do the bare minimum dinner,
Speaker:bath and routine for my kids. And
Speaker:I began to operate from a place of guilt
Speaker:in regards to buying things
Speaker:and letting the iPad babysit them. and
Speaker:entertain them instead of engaging with them myself.
Speaker:And in hindsight, that was a really,
Speaker:really hard time. I needed the business to
Speaker:stay in Australia, but I also needed it to grow so
Speaker:that I was able to step into my children's
Speaker:life a little bit more. And recently, I
Speaker:have made the choice and have collaborated
Speaker:with my husband to be able to step away from
Speaker:the Cuzzies Cafe, to not only
Speaker:invest more of my time into my new business, Heritage
Speaker:Impact, but more importantly to be able
Speaker:to invest more of my energy and time into
Speaker:my children. And that is the amazing thing what
Speaker:business can do for you. If you start to invest and
Speaker:put time and energy into building up
Speaker:a business that you are able to step away from to
Speaker:one, either create another business to be able to give you more
Speaker:time freedom or two, to be able to invest
Speaker:your energy and time into your children. I'm
Speaker:trying to play catch up with my children, even repairing an
Speaker:adult relationship with my older child. So
Speaker:I feel like I have been
Speaker:given this opportunity from my business
Speaker:to go back and use the time that I invested in
Speaker:in the beginning to claim back more
Speaker:time. So now I can put it back into my children. I
Speaker:invested five years of my life into
Speaker:a business to build it and grow. And now it's
Speaker:giving me back time now that I'm using for
Speaker:my children. Time now that
Speaker:I am using to get to know them a little
Speaker:bit more and to grow
Speaker:a beautiful relationship and create a connection with
Speaker:them. And now just in hindsight, I'm realizing and
Speaker:I'm feeling so happy that I've achieved success
Speaker:from my business because my business is
Speaker:now giving me what I set
Speaker:out to do in the beginning. It is giving me
Speaker:time. It's giving me time with my children. And
Speaker:that's the most important thing for me in my life right now, is
Speaker:to be able to connect with them because they're growing so
Speaker:quickly, so, so quickly, and I don't want to miss another
Speaker:moment. And so I feel so proud of
Speaker:myself that I have actually done what I set out
Speaker:to do. to create a business that now gives
Speaker:me time freedom to not only create more
Speaker:businesses and opportunities, but it also gives
Speaker:me time to create relationships and connections with
Speaker:my children. And I feel like I just won in
Speaker:life. It just, it feels really
Speaker:good and I hope and I wish that for you too.
Speaker:So if you're at a point in your life now where you're thinking, how
Speaker:do I create more time freedom or how do I
Speaker:create more financial freedom? How do I create more relationships with
Speaker:or deeper connections with my children? You have to start now
Speaker:and you have to head over to Heritage Impact or

Speaker:passion inside of you rolling and create a
Speaker:business for yourself to create more time, to

Speaker:profit back from it. I don't know about you, but that's pretty cool
Speaker:for me. I love that I got to go to work and
Speaker:do what I love, what I was good at, and now it's
Speaker:giving me back time. It's never too late to start. You
Speaker:just have to choose. So like I said, the

Speaker:a call or jump straight into the program and
Speaker:actually start creating a life by design. I'll
