Yesterday you named you discovered the pattern you want to break.

And today we're going to dig into why this pattern keeps showing up for you and using a powerful coaching technique to uncover its roots.

Hello and welcome.

Speaker A

I'm Heather Masters and we're going to uncover that pattern that we identified yesterday.

Speaker A

We're going to dig into the roots, see why it keeps showing up, and change that for you today.

Speaker A

So every pattern has a trigger, an emotion, a belief, or a moment that sets it in motion.

Speaker A

And maybe yesterday, when you spent that time having a dig around and visualizing and getting into your body, maybe you came up with some hints about why that pattern keeps showing up.

Speaker A

So maybe your pattern is avoiding tough conversations and it's triggered by the fear of conflict.

Speaker A

Or maybe it's overworking, driven by a belief that you're only worthy when you're productive.

Speaker A

Maybe it's around money and you link your worth to how much you're earning, and in the stress and fear of not having enough, you're actually pushing it away.

Speaker A

So today we're going to ask curious, compassionate questions to understand your pattern better.

Speaker A

So I hope you've got your pen and paper and here's your exercise for today.

Speaker A

Just take a moment to think about your pattern.

Speaker A

Close your eyes if you can, and picture a recent time when this pattern showed up.

Speaker A

Similar to yesterday, just think about what was happening.

Speaker A

What did you feel in your body?

Speaker A

What thoughts were running through your mind?

Speaker A

But this time, we're going to ask ourselves a question.

Speaker A

What am I believing about myself or this situation?

Speaker A

When this pattern kicks in, for example, is it a belief that you have to please everyone?

Speaker A

I believe I'll fail if I try.

Speaker A

Do you go into kind of a freeze?

Speaker A

Is it more a traumatic response?

Speaker A

Is it a fear?

Speaker A

If it is, ask yourself, what am I fearful of in this moment?

Speaker A

Allow yourself some space and then write down or say that belief out loud du boss and give yourself a pat on the back for being so honest.

Speaker A

This isn't about judgment, it's about gaining clarity and by understanding the roots we can start to pull them up.

Speaker A

And tomorrow I'm going to use an NLP technique to reframe that belief and start shifting your pattern.

Speaker A
