hello everybody and welcome back to Tammy's Takes number eight, where we turn powerful conversations into practical strategies you can use right here, right now. So today we are talking about my last episode with Dr. Karen Parker, and we talked about something that hit so. Deep, and she did such an amazing job of explaining that if you did not hear yesterday's episode, I highly recommend that you go back and listen to it. So it's about the stories we tell ourselves, and not just the stories, but how those stories are actually shaping our reality. Because she said something that really stuck with me. Is that we don't just have a story. We are actually living inside of it. And if you still feel stuck, this might be why. So she talked about something called a tape loop. And I love this because I see this all the time. It's the story you've told yourself so many times, you don't even realize you're still living it. It sounds things like I've always been the one who do. This always happens to me. I just can't seem to blank. Have you ever told yourself those stories? Probably. But here's the truth. Every time you retell that story, you're reinforcing it not just in your mind, but in your body and in your energy, and you know how much I think and care about energy. How we have to keep our frequencies high and everything else. So every time you tell the story, you are reinforcing that negative energy. And the reason is because your brain is literally wire wired to look for proof. Not good or bad, but to look for proof. So if your story is saying, I'm not enough, I have to survive, or I have to prove myself, your brain ener and your energy will go out and find evidence to support this. This is why you can do all the work. Go to therapy, read the books journal, use all the tools, and still feel stuck because you're still running the same pattern. So what do you have to do? This is where it becomes powerful, and this is where the work comes in, but there are things that you can do to change this and really what it means, and Dr. Karen did such a great job of explaining this, is you just have to change the story. You don't heal by just understanding it. You have to actually rewrite it and not in a logical way, not on paper or in a way that you convince yourself that you actually did this, but in a way your body can actually feel. I'm gonna give you an exercise to do today. I want you to try it, and I want you to let me know how it worked out. I don't want you to do it tomorrow. I don't want you to wait till you're ready. I literally want you to try this today first pro well, or the first time you catch yourself in this tape loop. So I want you to notice step one is noticing a moment where you say something like, this always happens to me. I'm just not good at this. Or, of course they didn't choose me. That's your story. So write it down, take a couple minutes and write out what happened. A good example might be, I spoke up in a meeting and no one responded. So how did I feel? I felt ignored. This always happens. I'm not confident enough. I shouldn't have said anything. Just anything that is going through your brain as you're saying it, just write it down. Step three, rewrite it. Now we are going to take the exact same situation, the same moment, and we are going to give it new meaning. So instead of I was ignored, I shouldn't have spoken. You're gonna rewrite it as I spoke up, and that's something I've been working on. Even if no one responded, I showed up differently. And that is growth. That is progress or something else. You could write what is, I'm becoming someone who uses her voice even when it feels uncomfortable. We want to start writing things and rewriting that story in a positive way, in a way that you can imagine yourself. Step four is where it all call comes in. I want you not just to write it, but I want you to actually take the time to feel it. Pause for a second and feel that version of you. Feel the version of you that spoke up anyway when you didn't think you should. Feel the version of you that didn't shut down. Feel what it feels like when. You didn't make it mean something was wrong with you. Feel that how empowering in that it feels stronger, it feels more grounded, and it feels more self trusting. And my friends, this is where the shift happens because we are not trying to write a new you. We are not trying to do any of that. We're trying to bring you back to the most amazing, powerful, confident, authentic person that you were born to be before all this stuff happened. So how does that feel? Can you feel it in your body? I want you to picture that picture, what it feels like to have written the story. Picture, what it feels like if the story had ended up the way that you wanted it to, and that's what it's gonna do. You're gonna rewrite that and it's gonna get wired into your brain. So you're really not changing the situation. You still walked into that room. You still, those things still happen, but you're changing what it means about you, and you're changing what it means to you. That's the best thing I can say. And that's, it's a very simple exercise. Like all of these exercises that we give you on the Tammy's takes are, but you have to put some thought into it. And you have to really, you have to do the work. You have to be able to feel it and sit in it. That's the big, every single exercise, there's one little clincher where people get stuck in that. And sometimes it's just writing it, but not actually taking the time to feel it. So you wanna feel it. Now I'm gonna bring this back a little bit to something that we talk all about the all the time, and that is energy. Because your stories aren't just words. Your stories are energy stored in your body. The tightness, the anxiety, the reactions, the stress, the anger. That is your system literally holding onto the old story. And every time you replay it, you reinforce that same energetic pattern. Sometimes the energy part of it is what we're missing. We're missing the fact that when you're trying to rewrite that story, you're not rewriting it the right way because you don't know what your body is actually holding onto. You don't see where the stress is sitting. You don't see where the patterns are repeating themselves. You don't see, honestly what your system is even responding to 'cause it's so deep in your tissues for so many decades. So that is where the frequency scans that I do come in and they're very fun, very interesting, and a great way of seeing what's being held in your tissues. Because instead of guessing, instead of overthinking, we can actually see what your body is holding. We can see stress patterns, we can see imbalances, we can see the areas that are out of alignment. And once you see it, everything will start to make sense. So if this episode hits and you're realizing, wow, I've been replaying the same story, I want you to invite, I wanna invite you to try the bio frequency scan. I think you'll absolutely love it. You can book your free complimentary scan in the notes, in the show notes below, or you can come watch one live. It's an amazing way of really seeing what patterns and what beliefs that your body is holding onto that you are not letting go. So at the end of the day, guys, you're not stuck. You're literally just replaying a story that your body learned a very long time ago. The moment you change the story and shift the energy behind it, that is very important. You have to shift the energy behind it. Everything will begin to change. I promise you. So give it a shot. Write that story, rewrite that story. Sit in that for a moment. Feel how that outcome would've felt and let me know how you feel. Guys, I will see you back next time. Love you all have a blessed day. I.
