A Vision of Cosmic Transformation A study of the Revelation 11:16 19 on the Daily Bible refresh with Dr.
Speaker ABrad Miller hello my good friend.
Speaker AThank you for joining me here on Daily Bible Refresh.
Speaker AI my name is Dr.
Speaker ABrad Miller.
Speaker AThank you for joining me in my quest to get the audible word of God into a million people 2 millionaires by 2028.
Speaker AWe do so by daily reading of the New Testament.
Speaker AWe read the New Testament from the Message version to make it understandable.
Speaker AWe get to make it relatable by offering you three points to ponder and I'm applicable by giving you an application step.
Speaker AWe take the Revised Common Lectionary, the Year C reading and apply it to your life and have a prayer too.
Speaker AIt's all brought to you by voiceofgodddaily.com the home of the ABC 1, 2, 3 Bible Study Method.
Speaker ALet's get into the reading of the Scripture for the day from the Revelation 11:16 19 the last trumpet sounds the seventh angel trumpeted a crescendo of voices in heaven, sang out the kingdom of the world is now the kingdom of our God and his Messiah he will rule forever and ever.
Speaker AThe 24 elders seated before God in their thrones fell to their knees, worshiped and sang we thank you O God, sovereign strong who is and who was you took your great power and took over reigned the angry nations.
Speaker ANow get a taste of your anger and the time has come to judge the dead to reward your servants all prophets and saints reward small and great who fear your name and destroy the destroyers of earth.
Speaker AThe doors of God temple in heaven flew open and the Ark of the Covenant was clearly seen surrounded by flashes of lightning, loud shouts, peals of thunder, an earthquake and and a fierce hailstorm.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AQuite an image there, isn't it?
Speaker AOf this reading from the Revelation in this reflection, we're going to explore this drama here, this dramatic vision that speaks to revolutionary hope and divine justice.
Speaker ASo let's talk about some points to ponder.
Speaker AThere is the reimagination of power struggles, power structures.
Speaker AThe declaration that the kingdom of the world is now the kingdom of our God isn't about replacing one oppressive system with another.
Speaker ARather, it envisions a radical transformation where the values of love, justice and equity overthrow systems of domination and exploitation.
Speaker AAnd this speaks to our contemporary struggles for social justice and systematic change.
Speaker ASecondly is the politics of recognition.
Speaker AThis speaks of rewarding, both small and great.
Speaker AIn a world that often overlooks grassroots activists and community organizers in favor of celebrity advocates, this vision affirms that every act of justice matters.
Speaker AThe divine economy values contributions that capitalism might dismiss as insignificant.
Speaker AA third point is about sacred accessibility.
Speaker AThe image of the temple doors flying open, the ark being clearly seen, suggests a dramatic democratization of access to the divine.
Speaker ANo more barriers, no more gatekeeping, no more exclusive priesthood, just direct, unmediated access to sacred presence.
Speaker AThis challenges religious institutions that maintain power through controlling access to the divine.
Speaker AHere's your action step.
Speaker AIdentify somebody in your community doing important justice work without recognition.
Speaker AThis could be someone in some sort of an aid organization, or some sort of a community advocate, or someone caring for vulnerable neighbors.
Speaker AFind a way to amplify their work, recognize them, whether through social media, connecting them to resources, or simply telling their story to somebody else.
Speaker AWe're going to come back and have a closing prayer here in just a moment, but I did want you to know we have a resource for you to do Bible study on your own.

Speaker ALet's pray God a God of Revolutionary Love.
Speaker AWe live in times of upheaval and change and help us see the lightning flashes of your justice breaking through in unexpected places.
Speaker AWhen we grow weary of working for change, remind us that you are transformed, that you transform the very structures of power.
Speaker AGive us courage to keep opening doors that others want to keep closed.
Speaker AMay we recognize your presence in grassroots movements, in community organizing and in acts of solidarity.
Speaker AGuide us in building a world where access to love and justice isn't just controlled by the powerful few, but available to all.
