Speaker A

Brad Miller hello my good friend.

Speaker A

Thank you for joining me here on Daily Bible Refresh.

Speaker A

I my name is Dr.

Speaker A

Brad Miller.

Speaker A

Thank you for joining me in my quest to get the audible word of God into a million people 2 millionaires by 2028.

Speaker A

We do so by daily reading of the New Testament.

Speaker A

We read the New Testament from the Message version to make it understandable.

Speaker A

We get to make it relatable by offering you three points to ponder and I'm applicable by giving you an application step.

Speaker A

We take the Revised Common Lectionary, the Year C reading and apply it to your life and have a prayer too.

Speaker A

It's all brought to you by voiceofgodddaily.com the home of the ABC 1, 2, 3 Bible Study Method.

Speaker A

Let's get into the reading of the Scripture for the day from the Revelation 11:16 19 the last trumpet sounds the seventh angel trumpeted a crescendo of voices in heaven, sang out the kingdom of the world is now the kingdom of our God and his Messiah he will rule forever and ever.

Speaker A

The 24 elders seated before God in their thrones fell to their knees, worshiped and sang we thank you O God, sovereign strong who is and who was you took your great power and took over reigned the angry nations.

Speaker A

Now get a taste of your anger and the time has come to judge the dead to reward your servants all prophets and saints reward small and great who fear your name and destroy the destroyers of earth.

Speaker A

The doors of God temple in heaven flew open and the Ark of the Covenant was clearly seen surrounded by flashes of lightning, loud shouts, peals of thunder, an earthquake and and a fierce hailstorm.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Quite an image there, isn't it?

Speaker A

Of this reading from the Revelation in this reflection, we're going to explore this drama here, this dramatic vision that speaks to revolutionary hope and divine justice.

Speaker A

So let's talk about some points to ponder.

Speaker A

There is the reimagination of power struggles, power structures.

Speaker A

The declaration that the kingdom of the world is now the kingdom of our God isn't about replacing one oppressive system with another.

Speaker A

Rather, it envisions a radical transformation where the values of love, justice and equity overthrow systems of domination and exploitation.

Speaker A

And this speaks to our contemporary struggles for social justice and systematic change.

Speaker A

Secondly is the politics of recognition.

Speaker A

This speaks of rewarding, both small and great.

Speaker A

In a world that often overlooks grassroots activists and community organizers in favor of celebrity advocates, this vision affirms that every act of justice matters.

Speaker A

The divine economy values contributions that capitalism might dismiss as insignificant.

Speaker A

A third point is about sacred accessibility.

Speaker A

The image of the temple doors flying open, the ark being clearly seen, suggests a dramatic democratization of access to the divine.

Speaker A

No more barriers, no more gatekeeping, no more exclusive priesthood, just direct, unmediated access to sacred presence.

Speaker A

This challenges religious institutions that maintain power through controlling access to the divine.

Speaker A

Here's your action step.

Speaker A

Identify somebody in your community doing important justice work without recognition.

Speaker A

This could be someone in some sort of an aid organization, or some sort of a community advocate, or someone caring for vulnerable neighbors.

Speaker A

Find a way to amplify their work, recognize them, whether through social media, connecting them to resources, or simply telling their story to somebody else.

Speaker A

We're going to come back and have a closing prayer here in just a moment, but I did want you to know we have a resource for you to do Bible study on your own.

Speaker A

It is called the ABC123 Bible Study Method and you can pick it up at our website, Voice of God Daily.

Speaker A

It will help you do Bible study in your own right, in your own home that you use in comp complimentary fashion with the Daily Bible Refresh.

Speaker A

Let's pray God a God of Revolutionary Love.

Speaker A

We live in times of upheaval and change and help us see the lightning flashes of your justice breaking through in unexpected places.

Speaker A

When we grow weary of working for change, remind us that you are transformed, that you transform the very structures of power.

Speaker A

Give us courage to keep opening doors that others want to keep closed.

Speaker A

May we recognize your presence in grassroots movements, in community organizing and in acts of solidarity.

Speaker A

Guide us in building a world where access to love and justice isn't just controlled by the powerful few, but available to all.

Speaker A

What a pleasure it is to be with you here, here my friends, here on the Daily Bible Refresh.
