Is a devoted disciple of Jesus, the author of what Did Jesus say?

A book that focuses solely on the red letter words of Christ.

Now, you've been following me recently.

You understand that this has brought such clarity to our ministry since we first talked about four or five years ago.

I wanted to bring him back on, get caught up, because he has a calling to bring clarity and healing to the body of Christ.

And Terri has spent decades sharing the pure, unfiltered teachings of Jesus.

I mean, his work challenges believers to set aside their religious traditions and focus entirely on the words of Christ as the foundation of faith for unity and spiritual growth.

Amen.

So with all that being said, help me welcome back to the program my good friend and partner now in ministry, Reverend Terry Christian.

Terry, is a blessing to get you back on the podcast again, brother.

Well, it's a blessing to be here, especially now that we have understood that you and I are called as two together.

You know, while Jesus said, wherever two or more are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.

And I'm just so happy to be here with you today because I know over the last three months, the Holy Spirit's brought us together in such a most timely way in our lives.

I'm just blessed to be here as I celebrate my 50th year in the ministry of the mind, even though it's only 25 years in the ministry of my feet.

Amen.

Well, you were on our podcast way back in, I believe it was 2020 or so, right about the time the pandemic hit.

And we've stayed in touch over the years.

But your book, what Did Jesus say?

The Seven Messages from the Master, that's now preparing to go to an entirely new level of marketing.

But before we get into all of that, I.

I did want to get some background for our listeners to understand what's happening in case they missed that episode four or five years ago.

So first, tell us about your background prior to your ministry efforts with this book.

Well, let's just take a good look.

Like it's a flat rock going across the water and skipping.

I was raised in a violently dysfunctional family and I left the home at 16, dropped out of school, and I stuttered so bad I couldn't say five words in a row without my tongue slapping the inside of my mouth and family and friends laughing and mocking me.

At 23, I had a near death experience.

And in that I had what we now call the Jesus moment.

And in this experience, in this dream, I saw the light, I heard his voice, and he said, do you want to stay here or go?

And I said, well, what would I do if I went back?

And the next thing I know, I'm in front of a large audience is teaching his words, what he said.

Now at this time, I'm uneducated.

I haven't read anything of any value.

I said, I'll go back.

And then I woke up and there I was on the beach, right where it all started.

And from then on, my life took on a new dynamic.

I read over 500 books on the, on the subject of personal development and motivation.

I was enrolled in the three top motivational schools at that time.

So by the time I was 35, I was alive and ready to be a public speaker.

And by the grace of God, I traveled across Canada and America giving over 2,500 speeches.

And then when it was all done and I lived that Good Life, Year 2000, the Holy Spirit called me away.

But before called me away.

I met him at 23, but at 46, the Holy Spirit compelled me to go on a 46 day fast.

One day per year of my life.

That was my first awakening and the reality of what you're able to do.

So I did the 46 day fast on juice and water and decaf Starbucks coffee.

I mean, it was just a no food fast.

As I was instructed, I walked off my weight, obviously full of vitality, but it transformed the quality of my servitude and obedience.

Three years later, I was called away to do what you're now seeing me do now.

So it's 25 years later and here I am doing what I was told I would be doing 50 years ago.

So even though I hoped it would come much easier, much quicker, much faster, I had no idea when I left the good life of the motivational speaker life that I would now Meet the book of Job in reality.

And if it wasn't for the book of Job, I would have given up because I would have thought I lost and was penalized.

That God taught me that Job didn't know he was being tested.

And you're being tested.

And so now I cannot be tested enough.

Whatever tribulation or difficulty or hindrance comes to me, it's God's way of testing me or Satan's waste of time.

So here we are today, launching this book in a special way.

And I.

I am just blessed because this book is what Jesus said to do.

He said, write this book.

Compose this book, actually, because I didn't write anything and add no comments and had no opinions.

And this is what.

I had no idea what I was doing at the time.

I actually, I think it took 25 years for me to understand the book, because I don't recognize myself in it now.

But by the comments around the world and how people's lives have been impacted then, now I know God is not.

The book is ready.

No, no, no.

I'm ready.

And so therefore, now the book gets released.

So my whole life is a pattern that trusting what Jesus said transcends what everyone else says.

And at the end of our life, if I got to bend down to Jesus, I want to look him in the eye and say, lord, I did what you said.

And then we can work it out from there.

That's the story, if that's good enough.

Yeah.

Well, tell us about what brought you to Jamaica, because you have a calling to Jamaica.

So you gave all that up and moved down to Jamaica.

Tell us.

Well, I'd like to say that it was an adventure that I went on, but it wasn't.

It wasn't my intent.

It was God's intent.

I'm now ready to release the book, and all of a sudden, I develop a case of bladder cancer.

Now I can't release the book.

I got cancer.

I just need to deal with this.

And I couldn't believe it because my faith system wouldn't allow this to happen.

But I did go through a very stressful, personal broken heart situation.

And, you know, cancer attacks the weakest cells in our body.

And so here I was diagnosed, and the doctors, they just wanted to take my bladder out.

That's all they offered me.

They said, you'll live a good 10 more years.

And I said, how much?

Well, how much time do I have if I don't do it?

Three years, maybe five at the most.

And I said, well, look, I'll do the Three to five years.

My.

My life is devoted.

Everything's okay now.

That's easy to say, but it's not necessarily easy to do.

Now, my daughter begged me, daddy, please get to.

Please get the surgery.

I know the bladder will be outside your body and it may not work out well, but if it doesn't do well, daddy, I'll take care of you.

You know I'm doing well.

And I said, carrie, I love you, but I don't love you that much, okay?

And you will not like what I become.

And so the Holy Spirit compelled me to do what's called the Life Walk.

From my motivational days, I knew how to prepare the mind.

I knew anybody who went into detox or rehab had to do 30 days.

So I knew the Lord was compelling me to go for a walk with him.

That's how it all started.

So I knew of Negril.

I knew of the seven mile beach that you could walk.

Now, I'm not familiar with it.

I've been here once, but I have no memories here.

So the Lord brought me here.

Other people helped donate the trip.

21 days.

And I came here and I read everything Jesus said in the four gospels on healing.

Now, I read the four Gospels, but I focused on everything he said about healing everybody who got healed by him.

How did they do it?

Where did it happen?

And then I found out where he couldn't heal everybody, which meant that was a big wake up call.

Imagine saying Jesus could not heal these people and the question would be why?

And I found the answer.

And so in that answer, and in the prayers and the fasting and the good, good food that is here and the love that you meet with people who don't know you.

And walking up and down the beach 59 miles, I thought about my 59 years in life.

The first 10 miles, how was I in the first 10 years of my life?

The second 10 miles, how was I from 10 to 20?

When you start thinking about your life that you activated from 1 to 10, that's your parents.

10 to 20, that's you and your parents and your friends.

20 to 30, that's primarily you, you, you and your friends.

30 miles in it to 40 miles.

Now it's primarily me, me, me.

When I hit 40 miles, it's just me and my foolishness or wisdom.

And then when I got to 59 miles, I had cried, I had prayed, I had laid laughed.

I went out in the water in moments and baptized in the Spirit as my witness.

But when I got to 59 miles, I was not the same man who started a week and a half earlier, two weeks earlier, on the first mile.

So the Lord compelled me to walk 41 more miles so that I could imagine the next 41 years of my life and live to be a hundred just as a starting point.

And that's what I did.

So then, now I'm here 21 days.

I meet a lot of people on the beach that live here because I'm walking the whole beach.

And all the Jamaicans that sell on the beach are just here in one location.

So I'm meeting them up the seven mile walk.

So when I come back, the VA doctors give me all the tests and they release me cancer free.

And they didn't ask why, they didn't even care why, but they released me cancer free.

And what are you going to say?

But give God thanks.

And then I came back here and I gave everybody thanks and I just fell in love with the people.

And then I taught at a local school, an attitude.

I talked to parents.

The power of parenting Pop.

And I taught the kids, you're more than your grades.

And when I got done with that, they came up and hugged me and tears came over me.

I never had that happen before.

Okay, so now Lord says, you stay here, you help these people.

So for 10 years I struggled going back and forth and trying to be here.

And now I applied in 2022 to our 2021 to be a permanent Jamaican resident, a retired one.

So now I hold an immigration status to be here from now on.

And of course I still have my American status, of course.

So I'm here now helping the schools, helping the local people, and by the grace of God in this upper room, I have I' online helping people, what I call troubled Christians around the world come to peace with what Jesus said.

Now that's the story that holds me in the grill.

And I'm here in the most less cost that you could ever imagine because the owner of the building wants me in this upper room.

So she's helped me and with the help of my donations and with the books.

Now I believe with what we're doing on the book that God allow me to help.

Now my calling is help.

H E L P Helping everyone live peacefully and productively.

And what did Jesus say?

That's it in a whole.

I hope that wasn't too much.

No, that's good.

Amen.

So let's talk about our partnership.

What did Jesus say?

Book project.

You know, first, what inspired you to write this book?

I mean, you say you didn't write it, you just composed it.

But how does it help readers engage with Jesus's words in a deeper way?

Okay, well, here's the thing that comes out of this book.

It's seven messages, but it's a teaching devotional.

So it's just not a reflection on the flowerly, inspiringly, lovingly things of Jesus said.

No, no, no, no.

Message number one.

Well, it's like you meet Jesus walking down the beach.

So the premise is you're on the beach by yourself, and you see a group of believers waiting on Jesus to appear and teach them.

So you join the group of believers.

Jesus appears and he starts to teach.

And we walk down the beach as he teaches us the seven messages.

So it's a teaching devotional, but all the way through, you hear no comments from me.

No you read no opinions from me.

So all you're hearing is the pure words from Jesus given to him from God as Father, as he says.

And the Holy Spirit is there helping guide you in the purest words in the world.

So we begin.

Message one is called the Christ.

So everything Jesus said about the Christ in the four gospels is eloquently composed in message one.

Message two is the Father and Son.

Now he introduces us to the Father and Son.

When you're done with that message, you know God is his Father and Jesus is his Son, because Jesus said so.

Message three is called the Word.

Everything about the Word, the power of the Word, the sower of the Word, the importance of the Word, and then Jesus says, he's the Word.

Now that's the first three.

So 1, 2, 3, you're now caught up in.

We know he's the Christ.

We know God is his Father.

We know he's the Word.

Message four is called I am the Way, the truth, and the Life.

There's over 35 different subjects that Jesus talks about in one line or one page.

He doesn't need to give a full discourse.

He says, believe this or don't you forgive or you won't be forgiven.

I don't need a discourse on that.

Jesus just said it.

So if you want to know what would Jesus do?

It's all answered in message four.

What did Jesus say?

Let me just give you just real quick, just because it's just too much.

What did he say about love?

Love our enemies.

No hate.

Light.

We're the light.

Truth, faith, believing, asking, giving, charity, forgiveness, prayer, Lord's prayer, fasting, loyalty, marriage, children, adultery, divorce.

No worry, no anger, no revenge, no swearing, judgment, no mercy.

I mean, show mercy, be merciful.

Brotherhood, discipleship, treasures in heaven the greatest.

I mean what more could you ask out of one message?

Amen.

That message five, the kingdom of heaven.

Everything he said about the kingdom of heaven is there.

And we start off with that message.

Matthew 7, 21, 27, not everybody calling me Lord gets into heaven and the gate is narrow.

So this just bust apart man made religious opinions.

It's widened the gate so the the kingdom of heaven.

Now number six, the end times.

Jesus told us what's going to happen on the end times.

And he and he said some things that conflict with man made opinions.

Now who you're going to believe, what what the man made churches say or what Jesus has said.

And then last, the seven messages ends on the Holy Spirit.

And the Holy Spirit guides us.

And Jesus says it'll remind us of his words.

Now watch this.

The words we just read too.

And then it ends on go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them what I said.

Now when that's all done, Jesus closes the whole day in John 17.

And Jesus teaches us to listen to his, his apostles, to learn what he taught them.

And he prays to God that we become one with his apostles and him as he's one with God.

There was no religion about Jesus.

There was only discipleship and obedience to Jesus.

That's what you learn in the book that you never get out of any other book because it's filled with other people's opinions.

Now, outside of the seven messages, I end the book with what I call my conclusions in Christ.

But they have nothing to do with the seven messages whatsoever.

That's why this book is so uniquely presented, because people are reading it.

They're not reading me, they're not reading my opinions.

Oh no.

They're being taught by God through Jesus.

Wow.

Amen.

Amen.

What transformation have you seen in people's faith and understanding when they shift their focus back to the direct words of Jesus?

Well, immediately.

It's like those that are truly repented when they meet Jesus, I mean truly repented, they're on their knees, there's a tear.

They know God is over them.

And when you know God is over you and you're repenting your sin and your life and your problem, you're not touching the tv, you're not doing an affirmation, you're not practicing a prayer.

The Holy Spirit's all over you.

So when you read this book, it cleanses you of the disappointments you've gone through.

It cleanses you of the prejudice of your family and your friends or your pastor or your Christian friends.

It cleanses you, gives you a moment of clarity that you protect and you serve or you return to the mud, depending on who you are.

But when you read the comments, when you hear what people say, when they get the ebook or the audiobook or the paperback book, and, and they're.

And they're interested in what Jesus said, not what I said about Jesus.

No, no, no, no.

This is not personality driven.

This is truth driven.

It changes their life.

And all you got to do is read the comments.

I would never devote my life to this.

I would never endure what I have endured.

If it was just my opinion of the book or my mother's opinion of the book.

This is what people say I never met.

And as long as they're saying it, I'm going to hold it and I'm going to give it away to those who can't afford it and I'm going to offer it to those who can, so I can give it away to those who can.

But it's an ebook and audiobook now downloadable around the world.

When the Holy Spirit said it's time.

Amen.

Amen.

Now I'm going to share what it's done for me and our ministry so people understand the importance of what we're trying to do here.

Because folks, this book profoundly impacted me and transformed how I approach looking at the scriptures and our ministry.

It reinforced my belief that the red letter words of Jesus must be the foundation of our faith above all interpretations and traditions and doctrines and all that.

Because through this book, folks, I gained a deeper understanding of Jesus teachings and it has really fueled my mission to help believers return to the simplicity and the power of his words.

That's why Terry and I have entered into a partnership to promote this book.

What did Jesus say?

And to get it out into all the earth as far as we can get to be a blessing like never before.

There's a lot of faith based books that rely on traditional publishing or church based promotions, but we've taken a different path, one that focuses just on direct engagement and the organic outreach that brings.

And Terry, you developed a unique marketing plan to help raise the funds that are necessary to do this.

Can you briefly explain the concept and how our listeners can not just donate to this project, but if led by the Holy Spirit, they can actually become a partner with us in this effort?

Sure.

Well, in my earlier days while I was preparing for being a motivational speaker, I became a financial planner and a consultant.

And we used to do partnerships where we develop Property and we develop some gold mine projects.

We develop oil well projects.

And.

And I was the young salesman that handled the investment side.

But I learned a lot about how people came together with little, and they ended up with much and did things together.

So this is like, in my mind, like an oil well.

We know that the book is, is like, it'll produce oil, It'll help people.

So now when you have an oil, you know there's oil in your ground.

You got to go get the people, you got to go raise the money, you got to get the equipment, you got to dig the hole, you got to cap the well.

And then you start selling the barrels of oil.

And your investors get a return on each barrel of oil until they get their return back plus the multiple promised in the agreement.

And then the property owner has it all and.

And everything.

Everybody goes on their own way.

So basically, this is the same thing.

This is a marketing fund.

And we also have a go fund that's set up.

So if you want to participate on a donation level, there's a go fund that we can help you do that with.

And we appreciate it and we respect it.

But if you want to recapture some finances, if the COVID shutdown cost you, if losses in your life cannot be replaced, whether it's from government or it's from the COVID whatever it is, if you will partner with us and you'll invest a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $2,500, we'll promise to give you back your money plus two times more.

And we'll give you what I call a product performance agreement.

So that you will know off of each product sold you, we will put a royalty into an account distributed back to the partner.

When you get back your money plus two times more, the partnership closes.

And then all the proceeds go to what we call, what you and I are calling project help.

And now we have the cash flow necessary to help Christians around the world, where they live, become strong, to help their neighbors understand what it means to be a new brotherhood.

So in this investment, it's performance based.

Now this money paid back to the partners comes off the top.

We never see it off of every sale, there's a certain amount that goes off the top into another account, and we use the proceeds.

So this is how it'll be done.

It'll be distributed on a monthly basis, and we expect a repayment to begin by July 1st.

Knowing that Easters are true.

Announcement.

And we think Easter 2025 is God's calling because it's the first time in years the Catholics and the orthodox and the Protestants all come together on one day.

And with what we're doing and partners who join us and with the instantness of the over of the overnight Internet, we can feed million people if God wants us to.

And from now on.

So I believe if you participate with us as an investment partner, that from Easter of this year to Easter of next year, you'll get back your money plus two times more.

And so we invite you to join us.

Folks, One of the greatest challenges in ministry today is healing the division within the church.

And this book helped me to see that healing starts when we return to the source.

Jesus own words.

I mean that's what everyone, you know, all these different denominations and everything like that, but yet they're all preaching from the same Bible.

Why do we have so much differences?

What is the one common denominator through it all?

Jesus.

So let's focus on what Jesus said, His own words, you know, by emphasizing his teachings over human interpretations over man made divisions and traditions, I'm now able to help pastors, leaders and believers strip away confusion and focus on what Jesus actually said.

And this shift has not only strengthened my message, but also opened doors for powerful conversations and partnerships, including this project with Terry.

and just to tag you on this, do you realize that every Sunday there's over a billion Catholics who go to one church, 800, almost a billion Protestants who go to 40,000 different kind of Christian denominations.

There's 3, 300 plus million Orthodox at another church and they're all celebrating Jesus on Sunday, but they don't celebrate together on Monday.

And Jesus said, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation in every city, every house.

I mean, divided against itself will not stand.

We are not standing.

This is not a plus.

There's a placebo effect out there for people.

They're mesmerized and only the truth wakes us up to set us free.

And Jesus said, I am the truth and the way and the life.

Amen.

That's how it is.

So let's get as many people into the body of Christ as we can by sharing the true, just pure words.

Jesus without all the other stuff that goes with it.

All of it's important.

The whole Bible is important.

I understand it.

But we want to focus on the life saving messages of Jesus himself.

Amen.
