Welcome to the Peak Revival Podcast.
Speaker:My name is Vesta, and today we are gonna have a conversation
Speaker:about girlfriend conversations and dinner party realizations.
Speaker:about this year and about life and about how we want to live it and
Speaker:what we're choosing I was at a dinner party last week, And you know, it's
Speaker:already well into the year and, uh, you know, at this dinner party.
Speaker:They went around, uh, the table and they said what's your word for the year?
Speaker:and, um, I was like, oh my gosh, I really don't have a word.
Speaker:This is really interesting.
Speaker:Like I had a theme for the year, but as you know, everyone was going around the
Speaker:table and talking about what they wanted.
Speaker:It was really interesting.
Speaker:Like there was women saying like, they are just not tolerating things anymore
Speaker:that they've tolerated in the past.
Speaker:Being more authentic and speaking up, and things like that.
Speaker:So it was really interesting.
Speaker:And then, know, for me it came, you know, when it came round, I thought,
Speaker:actually this is a perfect word for me.
Speaker:My word was rebuild.
Speaker:Because last year, uh, everything went wrong and it was kind of
Speaker:like the slate was cleared, right?
Speaker:And so it was, you know, about beginning again or building.
Speaker:And so rebuilding came to me because rebuilding my body after my leg
Speaker:break or ankle break, but also other things, rebuilding other things.
Speaker:And that was really interesting.
Speaker:And so listening to what everyone had to say and, what they were gonna do
Speaker:differently, there was a really common theme I found, uh, where it was, was
Speaker:really about being more authentic and choosing yourself and designing
Speaker:life in the way that works for you.
Speaker:Last year was also the year of the snake.
Speaker:If you follow the Chinese astrology, which I'm not a big Chinese astrology
Speaker:follower, but certainly for last year, I didn't find out until towards the end
Speaker:of last year, You know, I caught up with someone and I was like, oh, this year is
Speaker:just the worst year that I've had in about 20 years, and that is legit, not a joke.
Speaker:The worst year I've had in about 20 years.
Speaker:And my friend was saying, and she goes, oh yeah, that's because
Speaker:it's the year of the snake.
Speaker:I was like, what are you talking about?
Speaker:And then she explained it to me, right?
Speaker:And I was like, oh my gosh, that sounds exactly like what
Speaker:I'm going through, right?
Speaker:This shedding process of everything that no longer
Speaker:serves you that you can't take into 2026, which is the big year of
Speaker:transformation and a lot of things happening at an accelerated pace.
Speaker:It's like, wow, that's really interesting.
Speaker:That's okay.
Speaker:That feels like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:And of course, sometimes I think we, I, well, I hook onto these things
Speaker:'cause I think, okay, something good is gonna come out of something bad.
Speaker:And so, you know, the dinner party we're talking about this and these
Speaker:are conversations that I have with my girlfriends all the time, right?
Speaker:We, we talk a lot about the year of the horse and it was,
Speaker:it's a fire horse for this year.
Speaker:So rapid transformation and big energy and things changing for the better.
Speaker:you know, I did hear one astrologer say.
Speaker:That this year is about a lot of truth being uncovered.
Speaker:And you know, as we are coming into the fire horse, there's a lot of things in
Speaker:the media if you've watched anything about the Epstein files being released,
Speaker:which is shock horror, disgusting.
Speaker:I don't know.
Speaker:I feel like that's all part of That energy of the fire horse.
Speaker:I don't know.
Speaker:I could be finding things where they don't exist, but I, I do actually believe that
Speaker:this is all part of it, and so the fire horse, if you are someone who follows it,
Speaker:and I'm sure when I say that you might.
Speaker:Be thinking, oh my gosh, I totally follow this.
Speaker:Or you are like, I've never heard of this.
Speaker:you know, the shedding off from last year was an important part of the process
Speaker:to create what we're gonna create this year, which then kind of brings me to.
Speaker:The next question, which is, what am I gonna create for this year?
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:I'm rebuilding through this process and I'm only having this conversation 'cause
Speaker:maybe it's going to spark some ideas for you, which I think this is an important
Speaker:conversation to have with yourself.
Speaker:I've been having a lot of realizations.
Speaker:About patterns of mine that I haven't even noticed before, patterns that I've
Speaker:had for about 20 years it's really crazy that I'm only just seeing so clearly
Speaker:now that it's mind blowing for me.
Speaker:And so my thinking is changing.
Speaker:I'm having these realizations, so there's definitely a shift that
Speaker:I'm seeing for myself and I'm hearing from other people as well.
Speaker:So I'd be very curious to hear like if you are watching this on YouTube
Speaker:and you can see the comments, please do leave me a comment.
Speaker:I'm very curious to see what other people are noticing this year, what
Speaker:kind of shift is happening for them, You know, some of the stuff that, that I'm
Speaker:experiencing is this idea of choosing yourself and not in a fluffy woo woo
Speaker:kind of way, because sometimes, you know, I've heard that being said before and
Speaker:I'm like, what does that actually mean?
Speaker:Does that mean putting yourself number one priority?
Speaker:And I'm not seeing it like that.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:I see.
Speaker:Choosing yourself in.
Speaker:Not when you're burnt out, right?
Speaker:So often I see women, they're burnt out and their health is struggling, and I'm
Speaker:like, you literally have to drop something so you can pick yourself up, right?
Speaker:So you have to put yourself on your list.
Speaker:You have to choose you.
Speaker:Right now, that's an essential because everything else will fall
Speaker:apart, but it's not in that way.
Speaker:It's not in a burnout way.
Speaker:It's like, how do I want to live?
Speaker:And how do you really want to live?
Speaker:What do you really want?
Speaker:because I see today that the world is so different.
Speaker:The world is completely open.
Speaker:You know, some of the conversations that I had with women is they're
Speaker:really living differently.
Speaker:They're homeschooling, they're traveling the world because they can
Speaker:work from home or they have their own business where they work from home.
Speaker:They're taking their kids, traveling the world.
Speaker:Like We have so much opportunity now, and unfortunately for some of
Speaker:us, and I've seen this in myself.
Speaker:We are sticking by the old rules and we're still doing things in the old way.
Speaker:And I wonder if this is the year where we really break away from old rules and old
Speaker:programming and the way that it should be and really start to choose ourselves
Speaker:and to live the life that we really want.
Speaker:And that requires you to ask yourself that question, what do I really want?
Speaker:Not what I should want.
Speaker:What's the right thing to have?
Speaker:What's the right thing to do by everyone?
Speaker:And just to explore it.
Speaker:And it's not to say, oh, you're up and gonna leave your family.
Speaker:It's not about that.
Speaker:It's about really asking yourself that question and then like the way
Speaker:I've been asking it, like, I would love this, but I also love this.
Speaker:I'm like, how could I have both of those actually, that's a
Speaker:thought I've not thought before.
Speaker:How do I have both of those things at the same time?
Speaker:And that's why I think this exercise is important.
Speaker:Like, What do you really want?
Speaker:How do you really wanna live?
Speaker:What do you want this year to be like?
Speaker:Who do you wanna show up as?
Speaker:Or how do you want to be by the end of this year?
Speaker:asking yourself and really choosing yourself.
Speaker:Like, what do I want?
Speaker:if we are going to.
Speaker:Make changes and create lives that we want and that we love and that we
Speaker:enjoy, and I think we forget that.
Speaker:I think we forget we're meant to really love and enjoy our life.
Speaker:We can get so caught up in the struggle and the everyday responsibility and
Speaker:the stresses and the burdens and the financial pressures and the cost of living
Speaker:and whatever else is going on, right?
Speaker:I think we forget that we're meant to enjoy it and.
Speaker:I still do think that that's a choice regardless of what's
Speaker:happening in your life.
Speaker:You can choose to enjoy your life, but then choose to create it the way that
Speaker:you want as well and choose yourself.
Speaker:So a lot of women are changing the rules.
Speaker:They're not going by the old, old rules anymore of career,
Speaker:of success, of lifestyle, of mothering, of parenting business.
Speaker:They're breaking the old rules and they're doing things differently
Speaker:in the way that they want.
Speaker:And I'm hearing stories from these women and I'm like,
Speaker:wow, I'm so inspired by this.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:And these are women who would seemingly have a lot of constraints
Speaker:having a business and children and whatever, but they're doing it right.
Speaker:So what am I doing right?
Speaker:You know, it just opens you up to more opportunity and possibility.
Speaker:And I think that.
Speaker:That's the invitation maybe for 2026 is okay, we're already into it, but
Speaker:maybe if you've forgotten that this is a big year, then maybe this is
Speaker:a really good time and a reminder to rethink this process or rethink
Speaker:what you really want from this year.
Speaker:So that's what I wanted to discuss, right?
Speaker:So these are the discussions and the thought processes that I'm having.
Speaker:I wanna do things differently.
Speaker:I want to find a lot more joy in the every day.
Speaker:And you know, in the previous podcast I was talking about how when we see
Speaker:the good in what we do and in our little wins and in our life and in the
Speaker:enjoyment of our life, we just really go up to another level in our life.
Speaker:And I, I really believe that, and I'm seeing that more and more that as we.
Speaker:I guess shift our mental state and our energetic state, our frequency.
Speaker:We really go to another level of possibility for our life.
Speaker:Like some people in the spiritual circles or in the quantum circles
Speaker:would say it's a different lifeline.
Speaker:It's like a. It's like a time different timeline, right?
Speaker:You shift like your life is going this way, and as you make these changes,
Speaker:simple changes, you actually shift yourself into a higher vibration or a
Speaker:higher frequency or a higher timeline but things look different and new
Speaker:opportunities are available to you.
Speaker:So that's kind of where I'm at.
Speaker:So, but I would love to hear out of everything I've just said and the
Speaker:conversations I'm having with my girlfriends, what are the interesting
Speaker:conversations that you're having?
Speaker:That you are going to create something new or you are, or realizations that you're
Speaker:having about yourself, or maybe you're choosing yourself or choosing, you're
Speaker:gonna break the rules, the old rules.
Speaker:You're gonna make your own rules now.
Speaker:Like I'd love to hear that in the comments below.
